You watched Gabi with a warm smile as she happily giggled at the large Easter basket waiting for her on the kitchen table, reaching down to hand her the Easter quartet of bunny squishmallows you and Miguel picked out for her

"Thank youuuuu!" Gabi squealed, practically in tears at all her beautiful presents.

Miguel smiled, walking from behind the kitchen island where he was cooking breakfast to give her a kiss on the head. "Feliz Pascua, mijita..." (Happy Easter my little daughter)

"Gracias, papá, te amo..." (Thank you, papa I love you)

Gabi runs across the kitchen and hugs your legs. "And I love you!"

"Awh...." You feel your heart utterly melt faster than a chocolate egg. "I love you too, princess. I'm so happy you love your presents!"

"We got something for you too, silly!" Gabi says, resting her chin in her hands as she looks up at you from where she's leaning against your lap.

"Oh?" Your eyes flicker quickly to Miguel who quickly goes from making a zipper motion over his lips to trying to act neutral. Your eyes narrow playfully.

"Does your daddy know about this gift?"

Gabi gasps and covers her mouth. "Wait, no! It's a surprise!"

"Allllright..." Miguel sighs and walks over to both of you. He bends down, whispering something to Gabi, who nods and runs out of the room giggling. "Watch the eggs for me, will you honey?" Miguel winks at you and you laugh, shaking your head and crossing your arms as you walk to the stove, eyeing the eggs so they don't burn.

"You two are killing me!"

Gabi returns with a proud smile on her face as she hands you a small cardboard box with shimmery green fake grass. In the middle, is a gorgeous, hand painted egg made of a thin material. It's white with little pink flowers and red roses adorning it, complete with green vines running delicately in orate patterns around it.

"You painted this?" You ask softly, your soul enormously touched at the heartfelt gesture.

"Mhmm!" Gabi answers, head held high with pride. "Papá can't paint to save his life, so I did it!" She grins, her adorable smile missing one of her front teeth.

Miguel grins bashfully from the kitchen, slowly walking to stand by your side.

"You're supposed to crack it!" Gabi says crossing her arms.

"Wha-?" You look concerned at Miguel. "It's too pretty to just break..."

Gabi waves you off. "I have like a gazillion of them in my room. Don't you wanna know the big surprise?"

You look at Miguel, who gives you a nod of reassurance, and, with a nervous smile, you gently crack the egg against the kitchen counter. Your mouth falls open at its shiny contents. Out tumbles a square cut, shiny white gold diamond ring. As soon as you look up, Miguel is down on one knee and Gabi is silently squealing, jumping up and down in the corner.

"My love?" Miguel takes your hand in his, you shudder and let out a loud sob, clapping your free hand across your face when you realize this is for real.

Miguel's own eyes become shiny with his own window of tears that threaten to leak when he sees your reaction. His voice is thick with emotion, but he manages to keep it steady. "I don't want to be without you any longer..."

He takes a deep breath. "You mean the world to me and Gabi. Our family would not be complete, if you were not a part of it." He takes the ring carefully in his fingers. "I know that the promise we make in our hearts to one another well surpasses the ring, the certificate, and the worldly, tangible symbols of our love...but, I want to make this permanent. I want to ask you to be mine in the most lasting way I can. By making you my spouse. My forever companion. So sweetheart..."

You close your eyes, a huge smile erupting on your face through your tears as he brings the ring just over the tip of your finger.

"Marry me?" He asks, his voice hovering just above a whisper, the words he utters nearly brings you to your knees. The feeling of bliss that only barely started to brush the surface of being close to this one was when he told you he loved you for the first time. That beautiful night in the rain outside your favorite coffee shop when you kissed, not minding that you were completely soaked.

Now, you stood locked in a tender embrace in your kitchen, hugging this man who was going to be your husband, uttering the word, "Yes" what felt like a thousand times. Saying it as if every time it left your lips, it wasn't nearly strong enough to convey how devoted, how utterly in love you found yourself with this man. You both make space for Gabi as she wedges herself in between you. This beautiful, happy, family of three celebrating what's sure to become an Easter to remember.

Miguel finishes cooking your breakfast: Eggs Benedict with regular bacon in place of ham atop two buttery, flaky English muffins, California style with neat slices of avocado and tomato and a healthy dollop of creamy hollandaise and a garnish of fresh chives. For the side: crispy hashbrowns and freshly cut strawberries and juicy grapes.

Your mouth waters as you take a bite. Miguel flashes you a dazzling smile at your approval of his cooking. You sip your coffee and take Miguel's hand in yours in quiet gratitude. His lips gently graze your left hand just above where your gorgeous ring sits in its permanent spot. He gives your hand three squeezes. I love you.

You answer with four. I love you more. Miguel smiles, pressing one more kiss to your hand then turning his attention to a chatty Gabriela, nodding and humming attentively to his little girl as he gently rubs your thigh.

Even though this was a big step for all of you, the truth is you've been a family for ages. Your heart flutters with a wave of bliss as the hot food and coffee warms you from the inside out, leaning on the arm of your devoted husband-to-be as you watch your lovely daughter sit her squishmallows on the empty chair next to her so they can enjoy Easter breakfast too.

The ruby of Miguel's eyes and the gentle sound of his voice keeps you grounded in this blissful reality that only seemed like a dream. Your own little piece of heaven on a joyous Spring morning.

A tranquil rain shower began to kiss the tender petals of the pink tulips that Miguel bought you that sat in a planter on the patio; its new blossoms symbolizing this promising life you were beginning together as the late March Easter rain made its landfall.

He made sure that the flowers were the color you liked the most.

They smelled of a summer day, memories of your first days in the HQ making him grip the stems just a little tighter.

He knew you liked the ones that were just about to bloom, so you could watch it happen, watch them come to life. The florist in your universe knew him by name now, and another shard of him broke apart every time they gave him 'that' look, with slivers of pity filling the flower-tender's irises.

You would like the sky today, how the birds were singing along the treetops, how the city's skyline mixed with the graying clouds. He never paid attention to the sky, to the clouds, until he met you.

The universe had to have something against him at this point. Gabi still haunted his every waking moment, and if you didn't wake up--no. you would wake up. The doctors had said that they were hopeful, but then again, they could just be lessening the blow. It had been three weeks, and it choked him up when a part of him whispered that he had already lost you, too.

He was losing hope.

He walked his way to the hospital, you always hated cabs. Your universe was vastly different from his own, but they were both beautiful in their own respective way. Yours reminded him of watercolor paint to his acrylic.

He always hated hospitals. That's why he refused to go to the spidey medbay back at HQ, why he always patched himself up unless you were there. The only reason you weren't at that infirmary was because of your last words to him, when you desperately grasped his hand, blood trickling down your temple. You had looked him in the eyes, and his stomach was practically ripped from him when your eyes lost your focus. He squeezed your hand tighter then, pleading, begging, for you to stay with him. You had only the strength to whisper, and only a sentence escaped your split lips as you squeezed back.

"The sky, isn't it lovely?"

And then you let go, you went limp, and his heart stopped. You were in civilian clothes thank god, because you had gotten into this position trying to protect someone as you were grabbing your dinner for the two of them. He had froze when Lyla alerted his watch of your situation, you should’ve been home twenty minutes ago, and he completely shut down when he saw your state, ambulance sirens in the distance. He held you, bleeding to death in his arms as the portal behind him snapped shut.

He hasn't slept much since then.

It was some advanced technology that they used while you shoved the scared civilian out of harm's way, taking their place. The technology used was one that he had never seen outside of this universe. Your doctors knew how to handle it, but he didn't. He failed, again. He hadn't gotten there soon enough, and he was paying for it.

The hospital was always too bright, too bland, too full of the ghosts of those who never made it out the exit doors. The nurses greeted him as he walked in, the 'Good afternoon Mr. O'Hara's’ echoing off of the sterile walls.

You had been in a comatose for three weeks, and he had been showing up every day for three weeks. He would come to this horrid place every day of the rest of his damn life if that meant that he was there for when you woke up.

Because you were going to wake up.

You had to.

Your room had the best view he could manage to convince the doctors to give you, and he knocked three times before he went into it. The familiar smells of a hospital room assaulted his nose upon entering the stiff space, the only noise being your heart monitor.

Miguel made his usual rounds, walking to your bed and making sure you had the blankets just the way you like them.

"Hello gorgeous, you'd like the flowers I got today."

It was weird, talking out loud in a room full of two whilst only one responded. Your room was relatively high up, and you could see the waterfront in the distance. He picked up the wilting flowers that resided in the wine-bottle vase that you had gifted him long ago. He went over to the sink to rinse the vase out, and a fresh wave of guilt and nerves washed through his body as the water washed out the fallen petals.

And then he followed the same steps he followed for the past three weeks. He sat down in the chair next to your bed, setting the new bouquet down in the vase on the side table, and he talked. He talked about what you were missing out on at HQ, about the adventures that he went on in the various universes that day, about which nurses and doctors you'd prefer.

He wasn't one to talk, but he would for you. He felt safe to talk in front of you, he always did. The team back at the spider society knew about what happened and popped in every now and then too, but it was never for too long. Miguel on the other hand practically lived there, having maneuvered the chairs into an easy but uncomfortable bed for himself to lay in long after the sun said goodnight. He brought his excess work, he brought the flowers, and he sat by your side. Then the sun would rise, he would leave, keep the multiverse in check, and come back.

You two had never said 'I love you' to each other, but that's okay. At least, that's what he told himself as the days pressed on, because he knew that the minute your eyes would open, and they would open, he would speak them to you, hell he would get on his knees and pledge his love for you for the world to hear, if that meant you would wake up.

But for now, he could show his love in his being there, in his gifts, in his bringing meals to eat with you, in his reading to you, in his shitty commentary of the sitcoms your universe had on the television.

This was the most vulnerable he'd been in quite a while, and he didn't really know how to process it. He started crying more, but only here. He would cry as he laughed at a stupid joke you told him months ago, as he reminisced on what once was.

Tonight was no different, and he was on the third book of the week, reading the words out loud to you, licking his fingers before turning the page. He didn't really like these types of books (for romance was never a strong suit of his) but you did, so he loved them for you.

"Can you believe it? I cannot understand why he would go for the prince of all people?" He raised his free hand in an exasperated sigh as he shook his head. He quickly readjusted his reading glasses (that he would deny that he had until the day he died). "Okay I do understand why, but after what had happened with the king trying to kill him, he continues to go out with the prince? The stable boy is clearly head-over-heels for him." He paused, looking at you before grabbing you hand, lightly brushing his thumb over your knuckles.

"You would agree with me."

He hadn't been this vocal since he was in the universe with his daughter again, and it was weird for him. This silent, brooding man took a step back the moment he entered those automatic doors, and this new old version of him came out, one that hadn't seen the light of day in too long.

Miguel was currently so engrossed in this story that he didn't even notice the shift in his grip, the change in the beeping that had become white noise to him at this point.

It wasn't until a sputter of coughs came from the bed to his left that it dawned on him that you were waking up, an then it was a blur.

You squeezed his hand again.

The book dropped onto the floor.

The nurses rushed in.

You locked eyes with him, not fully open yet, but awake.

He was rushed out then, to make sure you were stabilized and for them to run some tests. Miguel wanted to be in there, wanted to be in by you, and practically jumped when a person in scrubs caught his attention.

"You can come in now, sir."

And there you were.

You were awake for the first time in weeks, and you already had the remnants of a smile on your face. He missed you so much. "I missed you so much."

"That king..." you coughed again, accepting water in a plastic cup. "He sounds like a dick."

Miguel laughed. He laughed, and there were tears streaming down his face. Yours too. "I love you so much, mi amor."

And yeah, maybe you had been out of it for nearly a month, but when you tilted your head up to bask in the moonlight, the smile on your face made you look ethereal.

"I've been waiting for you to say that for years, love." He could see you take a deep breath, your chest rising and falling. Your chest was rising and falling. You were alive.

You were alive.

Your eyes travelled to the nicely placed vase.

"Miguelito, you got my favorite flowers. You remembered."

He moved to sit on your bed, your hand slowly, shakily, barely able to move, reaching out to him. He took it and sat at your feet. "Oh just you wait until we get home, there's flowers everywhere."

Sometimes, he thought, maybe things did work out.

Miguel has had one thing on his mind lately.

Your tits.

It was weird as hell, considering the situation, but it was true. He couldn’t get those damn things out of his head no matter how hard he tried.

He’d be busy at work, then boom. Titty thoughts.

You’d had his baby recently, which didn’t help (and was also the cause of the recent boob thought influxes). The baby was a beautiful girl and light of Miguel’s life, Gabriella.

You were breastfeeding Gabri, which was the main cause. You not only exposed them more often, but it also made your boobs larger than they were originally.

Miguel was honestly pretty ashamed of getting horny of you merely feeding your child, but here he was.

One day, Miguel was sitting on the couch, watching the news with a beer in one hand and Gabriella in the other. She was snug against him and content, ‘till she began crying.

You had raced over to get her, cooing things like “Oh no, what’s wrong, baby?” And “Are Papa’s stupid news stories boring you to tears, my poor thing?”

You swooped the little girl from his arms, and popped your shirt open in record time to feed her. Miguel nearly dropped his beer.

You noticed his staring and asked if he was alright, and he just said something akin to “Yeah, Gabi’s just so cute when she eats.” Which was true, just not the reason he was staring so intently.

The second a drop of milk dribbled down your boob and down towards your torso, Miguel began to sweat in his wife-beater and had to literally leave the room.

Miguel has caught himself having extremely weird thoughts as of late. A lot of the time, he realizes he’s actually envious of his 3 month old daughter for being able to be that up close and personal with your chest.

Another one is when that drip of milk dribbled down your chest, he had to actually stop himself from swiping a finger under it to catch it on the pad of his finger, and taste it.

He had absolutely no idea what was happening.

He currently was sat on yours and his shared bed, doing some work on his iPad. His glasses were sliding down the bridge of his nose, so he pushes them up. You walk in from just finally getting your daughter down, palming your boobs uncomfortably and looking around the room.

He looks up from his tablet, “What’s wrong, querido?”

“I can’t find that stupid breast pump, and Gabriella didn’t empty me before she fell asleep. It fuckin’ hurts.”

He saves his work before shutting his tablet off, getting up from his spot to help you look around for the pump to alleviate your pain.

You sigh exhaustedly, “I swear to god if it’s in her room and I have to go in there and risk waking her up-“

Miguel sits back on the bed when he can’t find it and for some reason, his mind decided that yeah, this was a great thing to blurt out;

“Do you want me to help?”

You stop what you’re doing and turn to look at him comically slowly. You stare at him, “Eh?”

Miguel pales in the face when he realizes what he actually just fucking said, what he suggested.

“I just meant- uhm- Amor I didn’t mean-“

He shut up before he could make things worse than he already had.

You walk over and sit on the edge of the bed, staring at him, “Did you… are you suggesting you drink me dry?”

Miguel lets out a loud groan, “Don’t say it like that, cariño!” He covers his face with his hands.

You just snicker and crawl up to your spot on the bed. You shrug, “We can give it a shot. I don’t see why not. I won’t be able to sleep like this.”

“Are you serious?” He whips his head up to stare at you. His gaze only grows more shocked when you slip your shirt off, over your head.

You lean back and rest your head on the pillow. Miguel could see you really were tired, so he decided to just dive right in, crude as that sounds.

He leant down and latched on, and hoooolllllyyy shit man. It felt so good. It was unbelievable. He’d fantasized about this for weeks on end, and it was finally happening.

Hell, the milk was perfect too. It was in his top 5 beverages for sure. Not because it was from his beautiful and lovely spouse who he loves more than anything, his beautiful and lovely spouse who could breathe and he would propose to you all over again.

You let out a long breath from the relief and tangle your fingers in his hair. He lets out a low groan at the action.

He reaches one of his hands up to squeeze at the breast he wasn’t sucking, and it fucking dribbled out milk. He could have came on the spot. He immediately unlatched from you to catch it on his tongue.

He switches to the other breast, pretty confident he had emptied your other one. He lets out a loud groan against you when you tug his hair slightly. You let out a sigh yourself. It was super pleasant, having a big hunky man sucking you dry.

Miguel kept on working, focused on mostly helping you get to sleep. Sure he was getting unbelievably horny, but he knew you really just wanted your rest. Having a tiny baby who clung to you like Gabriella did was exhausting.

He pulls back and uses his big hands to feel your breasts, making sure they’re empty enough to let you get some comfortable sleep. Once he’s sure they are, he looks up at you with a lovey dovey smile. You hold back a snicker as you raise a thumb to wipe away the remaining milk around his mouth.

“All better?” He asks. You could feel his excitement pressed up against you under the covers and he noticed. He shook his head and pressed a kiss to your forehead, “Don’t worry about it, Hermosa. It’ll go away. Just get your sleep, Mhm?”

You nod sleepily and cuddle against his side. He lets your head rest on his shoulder as he pulls the cover over both of you.

He looks at you with the sweetest gaze, “You’re so beautiful.”

You smile tiredly at him and press a kiss to his cheek, then lay your head back on his shoulder. You felt yourself drifting off to sleep, not as uncomfortable as before.

He mumbles,

“You will let me do that during sex though, right?”

You burst out in giggles, nodding and kissing him.

It's been quite a while since I did a country-themed list. This one has been sitting in the drafts for a while.

I have discovered that YA books in English featuring Austria consist of only 3 categories:

notes: this is a gn!reader. there are mentions of makeup being used, but i feel like any gender can use makeup. it's not even anything serious like a beat face. just some lip gloss n mascara. chapstick too but thats not makeup. it's just one line, so you can skip over it if you would like to!

✩ eren bites you. its not even in a sexual way, he just likes to bite. they’re like a second form of kissing to him. you could be chilling together on the couch watching a movie, and he’ll just chomp on your shoulder. even when you were trying to focus on something, he swings by, bites then leaves. eren has no shame, so he does it in front of your friends too. you could be having a normal conversation with mikasa and he’ll just bite you, then the two of you carry on as if it was normal. it’s not normal. but you love it. sometimes you bite him back too. but only in private.

✩ armin gives you random things he finds. armin likes to go out and explore, with or without you. when he comes back after an adventure you opted out of, he always has something for you he found. a rock, a seashell or a cool flower are just some of the things he gets for you. if he can’t find something, he finds a gift shop to get you something instead, saying, “well, (y/n), i did find it in the gift shop.” he always looks so proud giving it to you, rambling about the story of how he found your gift. you have a small box tucked away with all the treasures he gives you.

✩ jean steals your things. whenever he comes over, he likes to mooch off your possessions. if he’s spending the night at your place and needs a shower, he’s using your shampoo, conditioner and body wash. if his lips are chapped, he swipes your lip balm to use on himself. one time you even walked in on him trying your mascara and lip gloss. another time he had your clothes on his giant frame. but he always replaces whatever he uses, venmoing you within the next few days with some cash and a sorry note. “sorry for using ur lip balm baby, buy some more <3” with $20 attached to it. you tell him that lip balm doesn’t even cost that much, but he tells you to treat yourself to lunch with the extra money.

✩ connie makes plans without letting you know beforehand. at 3am, you are woken up by an influx of messages and calls from your boyfriend. in your sleepy state you go to answer him, only to be told to get dressed and come out. he’s right outside of your house and hungry. you remind him it’s very early in the morning and you both have class. “but i’m hungry and craving burgers,” he repeats. you have no choice to get in the car with him. this can happen throughout the day, not just early in the morning. one time he whisked you away in the middle of your online class because he didn’t tell you he bought tickets to a movie showing in 30 minutes. the memories you share on these spontaneous dates are always your favorite ones with him.

✩ erwin buys you whatever you like in bulk. it’s not even an exaggeration when you say bulk. you mention one thing to him, and the next day there are boxes upon boxes sitting on your kitchen counter. “these oranges taste pretty good,” you mumble to yourself as you peel your 2nd one. erwins sharp ears hear this, and first thing in the morning he’s off to buy multiple bags of your supposed favorite oranges. it takes you days, sometimes weeks, to finish whatever he decided to buy you. you always tell him he doesn’t need to buy so much, but he never listens. though, you always appreciate how attentive he is to your likes and dislikes.

✩ levi cleans up for you and ruins your organization. it’s always a blessing when someone else decides to take on the burden of cleaning for you, and you thought you hit the jackpot with a boyfriend who loved to clean, clean, clean. but it could get annoying when you suddenly couldn’t find anything you placed anywhere. if you’re anything like me, you’re messy but organized. you know where things are. when levi comes to clean, he places things where he thinks they should go. you’re sent on a wild goose chase looking for your pencil case, only for it to be in a completely different drawer than the one you usually kept it in. despite this behavior, it’s always nice to come home from a long day from school to see your desk organized. what was once a mess of papers and other supplies have been filed into their correct places, the table wiped down from any lingering coffee stains and your supplies being organized in a way so you knew where everything was. sometimes there’d be a plate of fruit with the note, “good luck on your exams,” written in your boyfriends neat writing beside it.

✩ reiner coddles you too much. whenever you express any sort of discomfort, reiner is always rushing to your side. “are you hurt? do you need medical attention? how many fingers am i holding up?” he asks, checking you for any cuts or bruises. thank you, honey, but i’m fine. just bumped into the counter. despite that, he’s dragging you over to the bathroom to fix up your imaginary injuries. you always find it a bit much when you’re fine. it’s during the times where you’re actually hurt where you learn to appreciate it. he’s so gentle cleaning your cuts, kissing them softly once they’re dressed. you wonder if he’d be like that with your future children.

✩ bertholdt is too nervous around you. it’s been years since the two of you got together, and he still refuses to make eye contact with you. his hands get sweaty and shake when you attempt to hold his hand. he always stumbles over his words when speaking to you as he tries to find the right words to say. he even blushes when he introduces you to other people as his significant other! you remind bertholdt over and over again that he doesn’t need to be so shy around you. but you cant help but coo over him showing up for your date, flustered mess and thrusting flowers into your hand. “they reminded me of you,” he said quietly, refusing to meet your eyes. you giggle and press a kiss to his hot cheeks.

✩ porco is too cocky for his own good. he’s always parading around the house, boasting about his latest achievements. he beat colt in a video game colt was a supposed god in. he can throw a baseball farther than zeke. he can run faster than pieck. if he’s taller than you, he's always making fun of you for being shorter than him. if you’re taller, you’re not exempt from his wrath either. he’s boasting about how he’s perfect height to not hit his head on doorways. he never goes as far as to hurt your feelings, always knowing when to stop. though he has a big ego, he would let it crash and burn just to see you smile after beating him at smash bros. you laugh and taunt him, happy you beat him in one thing. he doesn’t mind, instead watching you with a soft smile on his lips and love in his eyes.

✩ zeke forces you to work out with him. and it’s not like in the afternoon to help you stretch out. it’s not light yoga or a couple minutes on the treadmill. no, this man wakes you up at ass crack in the morning to take you on a 5 mile hiking trip. you barely have any time to register what is happening around you before you’re already standing at the start of the trail with your gear. “come on! we can’t slack off!” he says, clapping his hands together. the sun is beating down on you and your feet hurt, but this man doesn’t let you stop for a break. “we’re almost there,” he says. your complaining goes out the window when he shows you the view at the top. its one of the most beautiful things you’ve ever seen. hiking up long ass trails to see beautiful views with your boyfriend was so worth it in the end.

✩ colt accidentally turns your dates into babysitting sessions. you show up at his house with the promise of a good time, only to be met with a guilty looking colt and his little brother falco behind him. “sorry,” he says sheepishly, “gabi got sick with the cold, so i couldn’t drop him off there. i hope you don’t mind him staying.” you hide your disappointment behind a wide smile, nodding enthusiastically as to not hurt either of their feelings. you just wanted to spend some alone time with your boyfriend, and it would have to wait. hanging out with falco wasn’t actually that bad. the three of you had an amazing time together, watching tv, playing games and even baking together. if you hate kids, you can’t bring yourself to hate falco; he’s just the sweetest boy you’ve ever met. you and falco are already asking colt when the three of you can hang out again when you have to go back home.

✩ hanji is always talking. you don’t discourage them from talking about their interests. they’re very passionate about the things they love, and can’t help talking about them. its like the scene where hanji kept eren up all night talking about titans. when you’re trying to focus on something or go to sleep, hanji is just yapping away. you’re honestly amazed at their ability to never run out of things to say about the most mundane things. hell, one time they talked for an hour and a half about a building color they saw when they were out one day. but hanji just looked so happy when talking. their face would break out into a huge grin, and their arms would fly around as they told their story. it was too cute for you to tell them to stop.

✩ mikasa hovers too much. every corner you turn, every place you go to, mikasa is following. she claims she’s not clingy, but in reality she is. it’s like a cat who hates affection, but needs to be in the same room as you at all times. you don’t mind her following you into the bedroom or living room or kitchen. you had to draw a line when she tried to follow you into the bathroom. even when you’re out, she’s always following you around. you tell her it’s okay to break off from you and spend some time by herself, but she always shakes her head and follows you to your next destination. you’re always grateful for her hovering when a group of drunk people try hitting on you, whistling and telling you they’ll give you a good time. but one look at your girlfriend who showed up from out of nowhere, and they’re running away with their tails between their legs.

✩ sasha eats your food. she can’t help it. she likes to snack. she’s always hungry. and you get that. to stop things like this from happening, you have separate places to keep your food. just so sasha and you have your favorite snacks and takeout separated. you respect the rule, but your girlfriend seems to lose her reading skills when hungry, one too many times you have walked in on her with her hand deep into a bag of your chips, something you’ve been waiting to eat all week when you were supposed to watch that new horror movie on netflix with her. you huff and puff and retreat to your bedroom. sasha comes back after a few hours, looking upset with tons and tons of snacks in her arms. “i’m sorry i ate your chips,” she frowns. she sets down all the food she got on your bed. “i got all these snacks you liked as an apology. and 3 bags of your favorite chips.” you could never stay mad at her cute face.

✩ annie complains about spending time with you. “i like my alone time,” she says, brushing you off when you asked why she didn’t want to watch a movie with you. some people were introverted, preferring to spend time by themselves rather than with someone else. you were like that too; you had your moments where you didn’t feel like being around your girlfriend. but it became an annoying problem when she constantly shot down your attempts to hang out with you. when she finally agrees, she’s always finding something to complain about. but during important dates or when you’re not in the best mood, she’s always the first to remind you or initiate a hang out/date. she shuts her mouth and enjoys her time with you, not one criticism or groan leaving her lips. she would never admit it, but being around you made her so happy.

✩ pieck is always sleeping. you have to wait a few hours to get a text or call back from pieck because she’s always dozing off somewhere. “sorry sweets,” she yawns into the mic, “was taking a nap. need something?” good luck trying to reach your girlfriend during an emergency. when you come home with takeout for dinner because neither of you wanted to cook, she’s sleeping at the dinner table. when you’re watching a movie she wanted to watch, she’s snoring away, curled up at the end of the couch. during lectures you share together, she has her head in her arms and has the audacity to ask you for your notes in the end. and it’s not like she’s not getting enough sleep, no. she gets her recommended 8 hours of sleep and then some. it’s nice to have a sleepy girlfriend, though, when you’re dead tired from living. you drag your feet into the bedroom to see her about to take her nth nap for the day. she notices your zombie-like state and opens up her arms for you. the two of you cuddle and nap together, sleeping the stress away.

never would you have ever expected to take in a pair of children as your own. better yet, never would you have ever expected him to. while you knew his soft side all too well, everyone has their limits.

gabi and falco moving in with you and levi likely just,, happened. a temporary housing for them, considering they had nowhere else to go. seeing as though imprisonment for a second time was a bit of a reach, it was a minor debate within headquarters regarding what to do with the two. through careful consideration, your lover made a decision.

what better way to supervise them than in our own home?

of course, the thought conflicted you. the enemy, living with you? sure, they were barely teenagers, but that didn't make them any less capable of murdering you in your slumber.

knowing levi, though, that would never be the case. the man was already the world’s most calculating insomniac, lord knows he’d never let either of those kids out of his sight. especially not around you.

nevertheless, your guys’ experience living with the remaining warriors of marley would be far more different than either of you would ever think to realize.

ACTUAL HEADCANONS BELOW: ⇩︎

to your surpise, falco’s quite literally the sweetest pre-teen to ever roam the earth. of course, you’d only assumed it was all an act. that was,, until you genuinely caught him attempting to befriend levi's horse one morning. he was outside holding a fistful of grass, holding it out to the thing as if it were some sort of a beast. eventually, you joined him, and you showed him just how to handle it. and while the boy seemed skeptical at first, you saw that glimmer in his eyes the moment the horse allowed him to pet its mane. from the window, levi only watched.

speaking of levi's horse, that thing absolutely despises gabi. you're not quite sure why, but it does. you've literally had to run out and claw her hair out from between its teeth before— she's scReaminG, you'Re screaming, even the horse is screaming.

"why does this keep happening to me?!"

"this has happened befoRe?"

whenever either of the two children curse, levi's quick to correct them. despite having quite the foul mouth himself, he doesn't hesitate whenever he has to toss out a blunt "language."

^ at first, they were bitter. with time, though, they stopped swearing.

a key moment in time that helped develop you and falco's relationship was one afternoon where he was helping you out with yard work. somehow, his little crush on gabi came up, and the two of you got to talking about it. after giving him some genuine, appropriate advice for a kid with a crush, he really did start looking at you differently.

as for levi and gabi, those two bonded over intense, hilarious training. he found her punching the air in his backyard, and decided to drop in with a few sarcastic pointers. somehow, it ended in him kicking the poor girl around like a rag doll— not violently, he never hurt her. instead, he fended off each and every attack she fired at him, leaving her absolutely exhausted. she was tired out, and he was perfectly fine. imagine gabi, laying on the ground, tired as shiT, and levi, gently nudging the toe of his boot into her side:

"you can fight, but you're messy. if you ever stand a chance at surviving this war you started, i suggest you clean up your act."

cue gabi, glaring.

"if you care so much, then help me become better."

and so he did 🥺🥺 the two bond over levi practically coaching her, and as the days merge into weeks, she grows to actually respect levi, and maybe even look up to him.

basically, while you and falco live your cottagecore lives and bond over horses and apple picking, levi and gabi beat the everliving shit out of eachother in the backyard. it's a great balance.

for the first couple of nights, eating at the dinner table with those two was disgustingly awkward. it was utter silence, nothing more. however, one night, falco dropped his fork, and when he bent down to get it, he looked underneath the table for a milliseconD— there levi was, leaned down, stArinG at him. it was both hilarious and terrifying altogether, and falco ended up screeching and knocking his head into the table, hard.

"I WAS GETTING A F O R K-"

"and? gRemlin."

it surprised all of you, hearing gabi laugh. a genuine, real laugh. eventually, that turned into a conversation. and after that, you had conversations during every dinner. the development process was cruel, but worth it.

the kids help you prepare breakfast in the morning while levi downs his fourth cup of tea at the table, and it's always cute. because of you, falco knows how to make scrambled eggs! and also because of you, gabi knows how to prank somebody using an uncooked noodle. literally, she just places a piece of it between her teeth, pretend to crack her nose, and crunch. she made falco scReAm, and levi just looked at you like 🤨 bitch, tf are u teaching her

now, this was around three months into supervising them. one night, they were sitting alongside you on the sofa, and you were reading them a story. while falco was into it, gabi thought it was silly— still, though, she listened. eventually, they passed the hell out on either side of you. you drifted off, as well. when you woke up, you'd woken up to levi, his head rested onto your lap while his knees prop him up from the floor. by the looks of it, he wanted to be included.

whenever either of them step out of line, they earn a swift flick to the forehead from levi. it's a daily thing. gabi says something stupid, flick. falco slacks off during chores, flick. one time, gabi tried flicking him back, and it just started a flick war. you were done with all three of them.

both gabi and falco love telling you about marley's technology. you'd never heard of such things, and to know that they exist? shit, the look on your face is priceless. they absolutely adore getting a reaction out of you, and they often butt heads over who gets to tell you what. when they do, cue the overly aggressive forehead flicks from levi.

while levi told you not to, you couldn't help yourself. you showed them just how cool it is to use ODM gear. of course, they lost their shit, because holy hell that looks fun. your boyfriend, of course, caught you swinging from tree to tree while the two children gawked at you, and he gave you a stern talking to. before he did, though, that motherfucker joined you in the trees. again, the kids lost it.

you run up to your shared room without saying anything, startling him in the process. he looks at you as your phone suddenly burst loud music you can dance too.

you set up the phone in front of him, hitting start and dragging him to stand up. poor erwin looks so confused the whole time, once the timer went off you look up at him and started hyping him up "let's go love! you can do it~"

you start pumping your fist in the air, body grooving encouraging him to bust out a move. as soon as he got the message he did not hold back and started grooving with you, you can't help but burst out laughing holding your stomach.

i kid you not, erwin started dancing like the goddamn old man he is. istg, he most likely did the thing with the hands and knees switching. though, his moves are adorable but still it's too hard not laughing about it.

you rushed towards hange after seeing her get inside your shared apartment, "what? babe something wrong?" you didn't say anything adjusting the phone on the counter so both of you can fit in frame.

hange peeks at the camera, confusion written all over her face. she looks so cute, she almost looks like a lost puppy while glancing at you. once the timer ended you started shouting a sequence of "oh" and "go baby" hyping her up.

seems to be effective since hange didn't waste time pulling up her sleeves and smirking at you then back at the camera, she started dancing. smugness written all over her facials, i swear i just know she can throw it back-- fite me fjbfkfnf

long story short, hange does everything with passion as long as you're her hypeperson. she becomes so extra whenever you shout her name and 'oooh' at her.

armin was peacefully lounging in the living room while watching a show that's currently airing on television when you suddenly came in front of him successfully getting his attention.

"you need something, darling?" he mumbles reaching out to you but you didn't come close to him instead he heard the sudden burst of music from your phone. you turn and face him with a smirk plastered on your lips, "show me your moves sir"

armin furiously blushes, he stumbles with his words, not knowing what to do and how to react. poor baby looks so confused, you started swaying your body with the beat motioning him to follow your movements. he stood beside you stiff as hell, he doesn't know what to do but after a few seconds of encouragement he begin to get a hang of it.

his body loosened up and followed the beat. his dancing skills? phenomenal. this boy has been hiding his talent from all of you and you're glad you're the one to bring that out of him, his movements flows smoothly. he even nails every facial expressions!

he was sipping his afternoon black tea out on the balcony, enjoying the view and relaxing atmosphere. until you come and set you phone by the window, both of you in frame on your phone.

you smiled at the camera that's counting down and look back at levi who's now looking at you and your phone with his brows furrowed. "what?" he simply asked, you took his hand in yours swaying your hips lightly to the beat.

"show me your moves?" you pleaded looking into his eyes, he stifle a chuckle. "really? you're asking me?" he raised a brow at you, you pulled your best puppy dog eyes.

"oh come on!" he clicks his tongue looking to the side, "just this once?" you whined at him, you look back at your phone and see that there's still a reasonable amount of seconds left. you tried pulling him up which he did without resistance, he grumbles under his breath "shouldn't have told you about that"

the song comes to its climax, the beat getting slower and intense. you let go of levi's hand standing aside just a little off the frame, your reaction still visible by the camera. he bops his head to the beat, getting familiar with it.

once he did, he looks at the camera for a second before holding eye contact with you, his movements nonchalant and moves so little but damn that smirk, holy shit. your jaw dropped, speechless. he just did that! plus the seductiveness he holds, god forbid everyone will pounce on him--

Its a Holiday Something - Knights of St. Christopher & GN!Reader

SO @whatafuckinnerd offered up a WONDERFUL suggestion of “Experiencing the winter holidays with the Knights for the first time (And Amir, if you choose to do this as some sort of list instead of a fic. Also if you just want to add Amir)”. I, personally, love it. It’s a lot of fun. And I hope that you guys will enjoy it as much as I did writing it!!!!

The Den a garish display of holiday spirit – tinsel framed every window, every door was covered in wrapping paper, lights were wrapped around every column and hung from every eave and rail and windowsill.

Jack had been going overboard ever since Amir had returned to the realm of the living – and proved to be a Knight, no less. It had been a mess: there was magic, Amir came back, Alpha’s hide returned to the locker, Midnight left Gabi, Alpha found Gabi, Midnight found Amir – it was a whole thing, honestly, and just remembering it all made your head spin in the same way that the ‘Exorcism of Lilith Bathory’ made your head spin.

The Den being a testament to Macy’s Christmas Department was just one of those things that Amir’s return had (kinda) caused. You took a deep breath and released it slowly as the lights started to flicker in a rhythmic beat.

“Okay, Randall!” you shouted, “That’s too much – you’re gonna give someone a seizure!” You squinted at the lights. “Me, you’re gonna give me a seizure,” you added.

The lights stilled, and Randall poked his head out of his window. “Sorry!”

Another window opened, and Hamish peeked out. “No blinking lights?”

“No blinking lights,” Randall called back.

You rolled your eyes. “I think the aliens out on Saturn know that the Den is here, you know,” you commented. You jogged up the front steps. “And the fae in the Other Realm, and ghosts, and, I dunno, China,” you muttered.

Amir was standing in the front room when you walked in, looking up at the tree you and the Knights had put up. “There’s faeries?” he whispered when you approached. You arched an eyebrow. He rubbed his chest. “Oh, this is gonna be wild.”

“It’s only been a few weeks, Amir,” you said, nudging his shoulder with a smile, “You’ll learn.” You tilted your head. “I’m still learning, and I’ve been a Knight for a year.”

“How’s Aster doing dealing with a pack?” he asked.

You shrugged. “Dealing. Has to, you know?”

A shoulder smacked against yours. You looked back, arching an eyebrow as Lilith stood next to you, looking up at the tree. She still sported the tattoo on her face, an indication of her trip into the realm of demons or into Hell or wherever she went. “I hate Christmas,” she mumbled darkly. Amir leaned on the bar behind you. “Is this normally how Christmas goes?” he softly asked.

Hamish snorted. You turned around to face the two, and lifted your glass when they did, clinking the bottom against theirs before taking another drink. “Not even close,” Hamish said as he stared into the glass. He looked up to watch Gabi step back and direct Jack and Randall in how to decorate. Lilith made a beeline to you three, and took the glass that Hamish held over your head. “We normally watch Elf, get drunk, and go running out in the woods,” he replied.

“No,” Lilith protested after downing half her glass, “Last year we watched A Christmas Story.”

“Oh,” Hamish scoffed, “I am so sorry.”

“Apology accepted.”

You wrinkled your nose as you caught Amir’s gaze. “We can totally find a better Christmas movie,” you said.
