I think a lot about how badly the "I lied on my CV" scene would go with Archivist Sasha. A LOT. Now this is based on some things:

a) The paranoia

• A lot of Archivist Sasha AUs act as if she would be imune to the paranoia arc and here is why I disagree:

1. By being the Archivist and feeding the eye you are automatically dealing with an extended feeling of being watched all the time. Not to mention the Eye is literally a paranoia entity (between it's other areas).

2. While Sasha doesn't appear to have Jon's trust issues she has a need to know at least equal to him and a tendency of theorizing. She was of course right when assuming Gertrude kept the archieves messy on purpose but that also shows that between being very smart she is very doubtifull of any behavior outside the person's normal.

3. In that same conversation ahe mentions how everyone has a mask and says to Tim, likely her best friend, that he is as honest to her as he is to Jon it is just different masks. She is fine with this. She is okay with the masks. But that is before things go wrong.

4. She KNEW Gertrude. That means solving her murder is more personal.

b) Sasha knows her shit way to well

• This one is the real fascinsting thing: Sasha is a master in figuring out people's secrets and keeping them for herself. She knew from the start Jon lied about his age and that Martin lied on his CV. To the point that for her this knowledge about Martin is a fun fact and irrelevant, a thing she keeps from because she knows he would be anxious if he knew she knows. The thing is that translating to the "I lied in my CV confession" we have:

• Paranoid Sasha found Martin's letter to his mother (likely writen as a diary with no intencion to actually send it) and thinks that Martin lied about Trevor being dead.

• She knows Martin lied on his CV and it's meaningless to her to the point she might suspect he knows she knows.

• She knows Martin has a complicated relationship with his mother and that means she would assume it to be very unlikely he would ever write this personal of a letter to her.

Conclusion:

Sasha would probably think Martin is using the fsct he lied on his CV as a diversion and truly has an awfull secret. She would also likely tell to his face she knows it isn't it because Martin's mum would never read or care about his feelings or letters and Martin should know this enough to not even bother to write "so this is likely a codename".

favorite male character: John Murphy and you guys all know it's not fucking close lmao. Like, next spots would probably go to Monty, then Lincoln, and I like them plenty, but it's probably telling that I never really missed them (as in, what they brought to the story*) after they were gone. (*in a strange way, I missed that more from the likes of Jaha or even Jasper, who I liked significantly less but did bring perspectives that the show actively suffered without imo, while Monty and Lincoln's absence brought meaning in themselves, iykwim?).

favorite female character: here there's more competition because it's changed from Octavia/Raven/Echo/Emori. Rn I'll go with Octavia, because a) I'm knees deep into her Blodreina arc, and b) she remains the only character who made me feel things in early season 6.

least favorite character: after all is said and done, Kane. Begooooone.

prettiest character: I JUST REALLY REALLY LIKE EMORI'S FACE. Also Octavia is incredibly hot, especially as Blodreina lmao. And Echo's actress was actively toned down (whenever I see a photoshoot of her in the wild... dayum), but still *-*

funniest character: Clarke, to me. I've laughted SO much thanks to her <3

favorite season: season 5!!!!!!!!

favorite episode: oooof. Hard to pick, the ones I love, I love A LOT. But this next week I rewatch 1x10 and I think it says a lot that I remember it as well as I do despite it being a fucking decade since I watched it. So I'll go with that one.

favorite romantic ship: MEMORI.

favorite family ship: the Blakes, if done right from beginning to end, would've had a chokehold on me ngl.

favorite friend ship: Raven & Murphy. Sometimes a guy shoots you and cripples you. Sometimes a gal tries to get you executed in her loser ex-boyfriend's place. Sometimes a beautiful friendship blossoms from it xDD

worst ship: Bellamy/Clarke like. Objectively lmfao. Here, have two people who have subzero romantic interest in each other. Getting together would actively tank both of them. He projects his brotherly feelings onto her. She uses him whenever convenient and when she finally kills him it's not even about their relationship. OT-FUCKING-P HUH??

‼️these violent delights/our violent ends/foul lady fortune/last violent call spoilers‼️

I want to share some thoughts with yall after i just finished last violent call. Waiting for foul heart huntsman later in September is torture so i thought to talk now

There’s so many thoughts where do i start uhmm. I’m glad my friend introduced me to this series (hi parker!!! Immensely grateful btw). I haven’t been so captivated by a book/series in awhile so i truly loved this.

I think the small part of my denial part suspected that Roma and Juliette was alive since it was explicitly mentioned in the OVE epilogue that their bodies weren’t found after the explosion. I’m glad we get an addition of the novella’s in the series that serves as an epilogue for Roma and Juliette’s arc. It served their love story justice. Ofc if we knew all along that they’re alive se cld come up with our own conclusion that they’re living their peaceful lives far far away but with the novella’s we cld actually see how they live their domestic life.

And oml i’m so glad Chloe Gong added Benedikt and Marshall’s love story a novella epilogue. Like to finally get a conclusion that all that mutual pining was worth it is very *chef’s kiss*. I wish we get to see their everyday domestic life in their home however. But a murder mystery epilogue is so fun and fitting for them so i’m not complaining all that much. But wldn’t it be cool to see what they’re like at home like how we see Roma and Juliette? Like yeah they were determined to help a couple in need, but we get a glimpse on what they’re like at home. Again, i understand that even if it is an epilogue it can’t be all fluffy since it takes form of a novella and technically speaking it needs to add on to the plot since it’s not yet the actual epilogue of the series.

Ahhh but i loved all the details slipped in the novella’s. Marshall being the main cook is spot on and him hving monthly gossip sesh with Juliette is so fitting i love them. Roma being absolutely in love with his wife and spoiling her with his love till the ends of the earth? Perfection. Juliette still wanting to cause problems despite also being in the lovey-dovey state much like Roma? So in character and very girlboss of her i love it sm.

It took me by surprise ngl when it was mentioned that Benedikt’s a children’s art teacher. But honestly it’s quite fitting. I can see him being very good with kids of different ages and also channeling his passiom for the arts to those kids by teaching them. Imagine one of his students paints a stick figure portrait of Benedikt and the kid showing it to him and Benedikt just has to keep it in himself from tearing up. It looked like a stick man made with chicken scratches and his name spelt wrong, but to Benedikt it was EVERYTHING. Also not to mention Marshall so definitely falling in love with Benedikt all over again any time he sees him playing and having fun with the kids like hsnsganshmsgwnw. Roma and Juliette’s future children will definitely be spoiled by their dear uncles and omg the possibilities are endless. My fav possibility so far is the thought of Marshall and Benedikt teaching their future kids how to ultimately bully Roma and it being the funniest sight ever it sends Juliette rolling on the floor.

But now it brings me to the events of FLF and the potential foul heart huntsman events. Wow did the Orion being controlled by his mother plottwist at the end took me out and basically shattered my heart. Like????? Him and Rosalind had smth going on and now mommy issues came knocking on their front door to ruin it all. Now that i think abt it the mind control plottwist sounds like an allegory for toxic and controlling boy mom relationships uhmm… was what chloe gong was going for?? I mean it was good and i think it truly did the trick ngl. Like it was a whole damn whiplash. Both the concept being a plottwist and a (potential but idk if it was meant to be that so take this one with a grain of salt) allegory.

Also what I truly loved abt FLF how the whole plot is basically abt Rosalind’s guilt. For so long she felt guilty for nearly destroying Shanghai and became an agent just so she can repent from her wrongdoings. And isn’t that nearly identical to Orion?? I mean, he became an agent to make himself useful and to prove a point to his father so it’s not necessarily centered around guilt anyways but like… same vibes? You know? Look it just make sense to me. But anyways and then they found each other and like unravel each other slowly and like gsngsmshsms. So cute. Amazing. Orion Hong is very malewife energy especially when he was losing his shit swinging left and right in that last fight scene in the warehouse.

Also that does leave me to wonder how wld FHH wld play out. I was so hoping for Orion and Oliver to reconcile at the end of FLF ngl bcs yeah i love found family but i LOVE sibling bond tropes. Like for so long I adored Rosalind and Celia’s relationship throughout TVL and OVE. It’s still apparent in FLF so i’m glad and hopefully it’ll keep going till FHH. But pls give me fluffy Hong siblings. And like all of them. All three. Imagiem how funny it’d be when Pheobe and Silas inevitably get together (there’s no denying they’re going to get together eventually. If they aren’t then Chloe Gong has been playing with our feelings this whole time and led us all on) and the big brother instinct in Oliver and Orion will jump at the thought of Pheobe with a boyfriend. Ok well I’m sure it has happened before since FLF have mentioned that Orion has stolen Pheobe’s ex bf to like ‘test his loyalty’ or whatever but to i don’t think he’s ever been into Silas like that. Like ever. Even if he did he already definitely so whipped for Rosalind so he’s not even gonna want to at that point. But I’m sorry the thought of Oliver and Orion cornering Silas and giving him the shovel talk?? That’s amazing. I mean yeah Orion wld do it moreso bcs he finds it funny and only feeling the need to make sure Silas stays in line when it comes to his sister just a tiny bit. But Oliver? He’d be so serious with his threat.

But the main thing we’re all awaiting in FHH is definitely the story of Rosalind getting Orion back. But seeing that he’s basically a superhuman, Rosalind wld so definitely round up the whole gang. But does that gang also include Roma Juliette Benedikt and Marshall?? I’m hoping it wld. And like not just a quick appearance, which is smth i’m sure we’ve all suspected with what’s been told in the novella’s. But i truly wanna see thrm getting involved in the brutal fights and shit. Also i hv to see the Roma and Alisa reunion. I need to hv it bcs my life depends on it!!!!!

I cannot wait for FHH to come out and reveal more tiny details of all these character’s and reveal the last story to truly tie this series up to an end. I’m gonna get super fucking emotional ngl but i’m also excited nonetheless.

Ngl i still hv many thoughts abt this series but I’m not gonna share it now bcs my brain is spinning like 63826 miles an hour just by thinking abt it so this is as much as I can put it into words. Wld love to hear anyone else’s thoughts on this. My ask box is always open:)

Finished suicide boy, my opinion :

I found the initial theme pretty disturbing, as to be expected. I eventually kept on reading and ngl I did enjoy some of the arcs like the internet / streaming arc and the wrestling arc. It all represented the characters development, characteristics and character dynamics so well. The world building was also pretty cool and the way it interacted with hooni gave some of the worst scenes and I admit, some of the funniest. Another thing I noticed is how the author made the world so dark it made the reader feel such hope for small things like a board game. The reader feels for hooni lees small enjoyments in life and those small goals that are looked over in everyday life to most people. Most chapters have dark undertones and the author doesn't gloss over that, in fact they exploit it to bring and emphasise the small yet happy moments more to life. Overall, I really enjoyed the small sentimental moments but take this with a grain of salt , there arent many. There are many tw with this manga including as you would expect from the title ; suicide. I don't want to get into the rest of the warnings as not to didturb you.If you intend on reading this just be warned, it isn't for the faint of hearted.

When you’re done with Bleach, may I recommend watching the Bleach S Abridged series on YouTube? It’s a parody retelling of Bleach that is one of the funniest things I’ve ever watched. It tells a shortened version of the same story but with some twists and jokes to make it more entertaining. They’re currently about halfway through the Hueco Mundo arc.

There are some references to things in TYBW, but most of those secrets were all revealed in either cour 1 or 2, so you should be safe from most spoilers. The only part I can think of that is a reference to later parts of the arc (which is one throwaway line) is so subtle that it wouldn’t spoil anything if you don’t already know about it.

Even if you want to wait until after TYBW is already out, I would absolutely recommend watching it, it’s hilarious and has so many running jokes, with each character having their own bit.

(They do sometimes go through copyright hell, so sometimes episodes get taken down, but they usually get re-uploaded as soon as they can)

Thirteen Era Rewatch: The Witchfinders

I'm re-watching Thirteen's era in lead up to the Centenary and since this is likely going to be my last full re-watch for a while I thought I'd do a post on each ep where I just go over all the things I love, hate or just have some general thoughts on.

I’m saying the reason they didn’t end up at Liz 1’s coronation is bc the TARDIS isn’t a royalist

Idk why but the scene where Becca says she had all the horses shot is really funny to me

Yaz going off on her own to see Willa like the legend she is!! I feel like you can sometimes tell that maybe 13 trusts Yaz to do stuff more than Ryan and Graham, probably bc she’s a police officer and has those skills

They’re the same person

I like when 13 has to deal with shit for being a woman. I think this era does fairly good at acknowledging there’s been a change but not letting that change dictate the entire era. And I love how 13 handles it too, being sarcastic and making snide comments. Love her.

I actually kinda find 13 even saying she’s a woman a bit weird/interesting?? I guess bc we know she doesn’t really give a fuck about that sort of stuff so hearing her ‘be like it is a tough time for us women’ is cool and a bit odd to me idk.

James fancying Ryan. He’s so me. And I think it’s cute how Ryan handles it through the ep. Like they do actually get on a bit. And I like that he kinda plays into it at the end of the ep when he tells James he can’t stay.

Yaz talking about the bullying! I really feel like we know a fair bit about Yaz’s life idk why ppl say they STILL don’t know her when 8 eps into S11 I’m like yeah we know a decent amount amount idk.

Potentially the funniest scene in the whole show ngl

James calling out the Doctor for hiding behind that title makes me scream bc she’s probably the Doctor hiding behind the title the most and she already doesn’t really know who she is and it just gets worse as the era goes on. It’s all connected i stg !!

Something something James’ shitty mum making him a twat but 13’s shitty mum/life making her good. But also this reminds me of 12 and his arc of going from twat to not twat and worrying if he’s a good man or not idk

I kinda feel like there’s a low-key mum theme in S11 as well as obviously the dad theme. Like there’s Ryan’s dead mum and nan, there’s James’ twatty mum, there’s Epzo from 11.02’s shit mum, there’s the mum (who wasn’t Really the mum) in 11.09. Idk

Also 13 once again confronting people when the fam isn’t there to see her be Like That properly. Inch resting theme.

This is one of my fave eps of S11, the vibes are just so good, it’s pretty funny, the topic of 13 being treated different for being a woman is low-key but works pretty good. Everyone has something to do. It’s cool.

Character wise it’s probably best for Yaz bc we find out more about the bullying and see her be more police-y and 13 bc of the woman stuff and her chats with James and Becca. But Ryan and Graham defo have fun in this ep too even if it’s not huge character stuff

Just Got back home from a boring party, so I can't wait to write this.

In no order:

Me, Being positive towards Arc V? I know, I am just as shocked. Basically Yusei in Arc V world, saving Lulu nd Rin by making them actual characters. The main inspiration about my OPs in my fics. It is a decent story and the Action is very well made.

Peak Fiction, ngl. My favourite fic of all time and the actual insipiration for my stories. It starts Wilona Konami startting in Duel Academy for money, but overtime grows a crush on Jaden. The Action, the characters, the writing, the duels are all 👌 chef's kiss

Such a good fic, my lord. It is packed with Great dialouge, Great Action and it is actually pretty Damn funny, the main reason why I write actual shows in fics.

Thr First ever fic that I fully completed and I loved everything about it. Everything is done so well that I can't put it together.

The funniest fic I have read to date and it ain't a competition. It is a Mature fic and I wouldn't reccomend it to everyone

The way I got this ask and like IMMEDIATELY forgot any piece of media I have ever consumed?? If I forgot any of my faves... sorry to them!!

Also, a running theme for most of my faves is that they have overcome being otherized and/or trauma and came out being pettier and more self righteous, lol.

Uchiha Sasuke from Naruto. Pettiest bitch alive and he DESERVES IT! Should be pettier.

Wei Wuxian from MDZS/The Untamed. Went through hell, kinda literally, and did awful things but still chose to do the right thing, every single fucking time.

Fenris from Dragon Age. Watching him emerge from such an awful place and learn to let people in, while remaining sooo rough around the edges, was lovely.

Spock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! From both TOS and AOS, less so from Disco/SNW, because he's just so fucking funny and also watching him be so repressed and then be forced out of that repression is fun. I love him. Baby boy.

Joy from EEAAO. Loved watching her anger, loved watching her creativity, and I loved watching her anger make her mother change. I love that she was able to give up the anger because she was finally seen and her hurt was legitimized.

NGL.... it's still my boy Edward Elric. In many ways, I should let him go. But he was my first rep of atheism in literally the funniest fucking way ("Yeah I've seen God but... nah.") and I still enjoyed his journey, even if I now have major issues with the narrative and apologism and recognize Scar as a far more compelling character than Edward. Sorry to everyone but when I saw Edward at age.... 13, I did not realize what war crime apologism looked like. At least I let go of stanning Mustang. Cause I wanted that man carnally for a long time.

Sook-hee from The Handmaiden. Watching her fuck shit up was cathartic.

I need to finish my watch through (bingewatching two seasons in a week was mentally taxing, tbh) but Flint and Max from Black Sails. Again... love a selfish character who has felt left behind by the world and so they take what they can from the world. They deserve it!

Recency bias I guess but I'm REALLY loving Frieren from... Frieren. Watching her learn to value other people while going around with her lil :3 face is nice.

I feel like this list is leaving a lot of faves out--my lovely Sailor Jupiter who I imprinted on like a baby duck and have carried in my heart ever since, Dimitri Fire Emblem, Qifrey, and probably so many more. The characters that I love just for horny reasons (Yae Miko, Kaveh, Tighnari my beloveds). Characters I love for their potential (Finn, Poe, and Rey from Star Wars)(Also Cassian but I guess I could love him more if I watched Andor but I will not be watching Disney+ shows.) Characters who I love now (Louis, Lestat, Claudia from IWTV the show) but haven't finished their arcs yet, so idk how I'll feel int he future. Etc etc.

I will also say that this list feels a biiiiiit swayed by characters who I have experienced more in fandom. There are characters from one off books, video games, comics that I CONNECT with more, maybe idolized more, but engage with less often because there's no fandom, so they come to mind less immediately. And they've been butchered less by fanon, so I don't project onto them as much. Like they are FULLER vessels, which means they have less room for me to go "Oh, yeah, we are exactly the same. Let me into your brain."

This list is mainly of characters I love to play with like bratz dolls in my brain and is less about like... maybe heavily fucking with them while consuming their media and then being able to let them go when I'm done.

i’m gonna talk about spiderverse spoilers below, pls don’t read and block the tag if u haven’t seen it

ngl after rewatching the first spiderverse, im so much more appreciative of how much spider-gwen they gave us in the sequel! she was fun i the first one but such a wonderful presence in Across the Spiderverse.

i love that this film opened with her universe, fleshed out her backstory, and gave her a proper arc. they basically made this movie a two-hander.. her and miles are proper deutarogonists! i fucking loved it all. loved her musical theme and her universe??? god…. someone on twitter said that every frame was having a gorgeous off and that’s the funniest and most accurate way to put it. every frame had a new background, unique lighting/color scheme… like wtf they went THAT HARD!!!!

don’t get me started on the trans allegory.. i didn’t even realize she had a trans flag in her room till my friend pointed it out, but afterwards it was so obvious.. her entire UNIVERSE was bathed in the colors of the trans flag. GORGEOUS!

loved her scenes with miles, too. they’re so cute together that it made a rock drop into my stomach when she said “gwen stacy always falls in love with spiderman, but it never ends well..” like FUCK WHATS GONNA HAPPEN IN PART 2 😭

an unpopular opinion: brother blood's 'you were brainwashed since issue 22' retcon* renders dick's character development in NTT essentially meaningless. like if anything cool is due to him and anything where he's a supportive friend is just him as a person and anything where he's a jerk is due to brainwashing (or he wouldn't be acting that way without it) like. oh OK then.

*and I do consider it a retcon b/c in the paperback before the brother blood v3 arc, marv blabbers about how 'oh in issue 20 something brother blood extracted a confession but we never showed what it was... this is the reveal'. BOOKS

The Sign of Four by Arthur Conan Doyle. This one introduces Mary. I wish she'd gotten the treasure and become a rich heiress 😢

Inheritance by Devin Grayson. Loved it. I'm definitely gonna track down her other prose novels. I made a good guess on who [redacted] from very early in the book, practically from the first, and it was still quite gripping. The funniest thing, however, is how unequal each of the former sidekicks' sections are lol. Was she just going through the motions with Garth? Although, by virtue of being the one I know the least about, it did make me want to read his comics. Roy's and Dick's were more even, both with incredibly poignant, poetic flashbacks I adored, but you can tell DickAndBruce is where her heart is and their dynamic was showcased beautifully imo. Her characterization of Ollie is... surely controversial, and doesn't quite match how I see the guy, but it didn't bother me.

Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. This one is a reread, though it's been a decade since I read it for the first time. I've read it even more slowly than the first time around, pondering over practically every passage. Nabokov's prose is simply sublime, and Dolores's character is one of those that stays with you for how much you read into her.

COMICS

Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees. The first issue enchanted me, and the last one was a very apt ending for the story. The journey to get there let me down.

FCBD 2024: Barda Special Edition. This is a preview for an upcoming story. A young Barda is charged to break the prisoner Scott Free, as the beginning of their romance. Theirs is a ship I've been curious about for a while, and I really dig the premise, so I can't wait to read it.

Catwoman: Her Sister's Keeper. A short, gritty origin story that builds on the Selina we see in Batman: Year One, written by the same author as Lois Lane (1986). I really wish her sister was more present in Catwoman's story in general, tbh. She was featured in Selina's Knight Terror mini, which I might end up rereading.

The Bat-Man: First Knight. Three-part run set in the 40s, the original Batman setting. A tale of monsters, human experimentation, and the effects of the second world war. I enjoyed it, though not wildly, but it confirms I'd enjoy more historical settings in my comics.

War Games. Oh boy. OH BOY. My kill list grew with each page I read. The missed shot at a proper story with robin!Steph, the incredibly uncharitable way she's written... all to end in the grossest example of character assassination I've ever seen with Dr Leslie Thompkins, all to relieve Bruce of his guilt for his part in Steph's demise. I wanted to read the arc because I thought it was important for some Steph-focused storylines I want to write that build up on it (mostly by subverting or contradict him), but with few exceptions (SOME of Steph's Robin arc, the school plot, Tarantula's appearances, and the parts touching on Dick's downward spiral, for example) it was all so hateful and mean-spirited. Even the prelude to the proper arc, starting with Bruce and Cass's visit to Jason grave to use him as a cautionary tale against Steph, or that storyline about the teen mothers... death. Death to Dan DiDio for one thousand years.

Outsiders (2003). I'm including the Teen Titans crossover arcs (including both Secret Files and Origins issues, both GREAT), and the Outsiders: Five of a Kind arc where Batman is a shit xD (it also did make me wanna read the continuation in the next Batman and the Outsiders run). The art was... Mixed, by which I mean that sometimes it was fuck-ugly lol, but I loved the run. Winick gets me. I have a special place in my heart for Jason's little arc, OBVIOUSLY, but my favourite parts are, second, Dick's arc, and first, ANISSA AND GRACE. I as a lesbian owe Winick much for that one. They're the main attraction for the continuation, ngl. I also loved Shift and Indigo, btw. So damn tragic 🥲

I remember my cousins finding Caleb (W.i.t.c.h.) really sexy, and while the flower form was pretty as I like flowers, he... Wasn't that interesting? The funniest thing about him was Cornelia imagining that Lillian would call his markings moss..!

Speaking of Cornelia (and Lillian), their racist grandmother wasn't interesting in the slightest, just annoying and I dreaded each time she showed up, I just wanted her to get stuck in the fish bowl in Meridian and stay there.

i rememeber rereading the whole series up to the ragorlang saga during quarantine in 2020 and i was surprised about how. boring? caleb was like literally everything about him was boring. he was introduced as "cornelia's literal dream boy" in the same volume they meet, two volumes later he's hit with the Flower Beam and when he comes back to his og form like three or four volumes later (that we rightfully spend having a final battle rather than focus on him) he breaks up with cornelia

and later on when we meet him during the oracle arc that hint of personality he might have being the leader of the rebels and all is. completely gone? like his personality begins and ends with "im loyal to elyon" and that's it. and the least i talk about BOTH of the caleb-centric specials the better

like im a firm irma/cornelia truther but at least i can say cornelia and peter are MUCH much much better than her and caleb. he was there just to make things worse -- both to start off the nerissa arc, to make cornelia's character growth start from the literal bottom (which. to be fair she's my second fav after will so all's well what ends well i guess), both the timelines where they remain together are proven to be nothing but traumas and despair for everyone involved AND. AGAIN. THE ELYON x CALEB SPECIAL DOESN'T EXIST :) if i can pretend the series is over after ragorlang I CAN PRETEND THAT THEY AREN'T CANON :)))

i'd say that if newpower!matt didn't exist he would be the wrost written character in the series but as i said! new power onwards isn't canon!!! so i don't CARE!!!!!!!!!

and i'm ngl i completely forgot about Racist Grandma Hale(tm) all i remember was that she was in that one fire stone volume from the book saga and she was very annoying and thats about it :^)

parting thoughts! haven’t had the opportunity to use this tag in a while but my inability to finish anything has finally been defeated so

food wars! so so so silly, but so so so fun. just binged the fifth season in one sitting so i barely have a coherent thought in my head rn but:

but man these boys deserved better like

i get that takumi’s mostly one-sided rivalry with souma was supposed to be funny but it was honestly just so sad to me

ofc it’s a common shounen trope for the formidable rival in one arc to become a comedic relief friend in the next arc but takumi never even got a chance to be the formidable rival! he was never taken seriously!!

really glad he got to actually compete with souma in the end at least, even if it was only in a flashback montage

the ova that had him and nikumi acting the exact same way about souma (down horrendous) was lmao superb

funniest thing overall is how the series completely gave up on pretending these were high schoolers like three episodes in lol

totsuki very clearly is meant to be a vocational school and they didn’t even try to hide it as the series went on

and i respect them for that

season five is one of the clearest and most egregious cases of shark jumping i’ve experienced in years but ngl i’m into it

totally wild and ridiculous but still a fun time
