It's not the KKK anymore. It's the CCC and it's even worse. The group of Conservative Caucasian Christians (and those non Christians who just affiliate with the Conservative Caucasian part) are who is destroying our country from the inside out. They are the politicians and their wives, Bible thumping evangelists, actual members of the Klan, executives, CEOs, neighbors, etc....The minority of the population and they are in power. I am sick of the CCC and their affiliates. They hate anybody who isn't a straight white Christian male. Yes, they even hate their wives, mothers, sisters and daughters. We need to unite and vote them out of power in EVERY ELECTION from now on. No more Conservative Caucasian Christian members in politics. They are a cancer on society. We owe it to ourselves, our children and generations to come to stop this nonsense.

All these political fundraising ads are not helping themselves.
"DONATE by Midnight tonight to have your donation matched up to 600%!!!!"
Fuck you, NO
Y'all got millionaires or billionaires in your pockets? Have them donate first.
Or just and only ask me for the 5$ I can spare.
You want more rant, click below.
Don't tell me how you have people waiting in the wings to get even more money. Ask them for what they can give.
This whole setup REEKS of privileged people saying "Oh, we're only going to give Anything if you can prove you can actually win and have xx dollars fundraiser. Whatever you can raise on your own, we'll match"
Fuck that terrorist ransom bullshit, No.
I ain't playing that game. I'm not clicking on your text, I'm blocking your stinky ass number. I know what I give, you clearly don't.
Yes, I'm still donating to your party. No, I don't want Trump. But you can fuck all the way off on this Matching Donations Scam.

Such a good article about how absolutely fucked Citizens United is, and how it destroyed all hope of America ever being able to pass laws, or elect politicians, that are for the people.

Im at my schools home football game and they did the pledge of allegiance and I just
I don't get how anyone could love this country unconditionally. I fucking hate Joe Biden and the only reason he supports Israel and not palestine is because this country was built on the stolen land of indigenous Americans.
Hamas isn't even a terrorist group, they're fighting to get rid of their colonists. Decolonization will always be violent I don't understand how that's such a hard concept to grasp. Tax payers money is actively being used to support Israel isn't that so fucking disgusting.
We can afford a genocide but not housing for everyone. We can afford a genocide but not student loan forgiveness. This country is such a fucking joke. Genuinely I wish I stayed in Mexico, this country has done jack shit for me.
My entire life has been spent in poverty. And what does the government do to help the impoverished and homeless? It supports a fucking genocide. I stopped standing for the pledge of allegiance in 4th grade because I was petty and hated being told what to do.
Now though I sit during the pledge because of the genocide of indigenous Americans, I sit because of the millions of people without a place to live, I sit for all the innocent afghani children and civilians who died because of George Bush's lies, I sit for my mom who went to college but when immigrating here the government said her college and highschool diplomas don't count and now she has to wprk minimum wage jobs, I sit for the thousands of Palestinians that have died
This country is a fucking joke and I will never ever stand for the pledge. I will never look away at genocides we fund. Every politician, journalist, and UN official who remained silent/or spread propaganda has over 6000 Palestinians blood in their hands.
From the river to the sea Palestine will be free

‘Vote For Democrats’ Is Not Enough In A Post-Roe America - yahoonews
I remain sick and fucking tired of the “bluh bluh voting obviously doesnt matter dont bother voting” bullshit flying around.
But this article says it better than I ever could. I’ll try to give you the tl;dr here.
No, Democrats have had no feasible possibility of passing abortion rights legislation for decades now, with the election results & Senate filibuster rules being what they were (unless you can show me which Presidency and House and Senate supermajority they should’ve used, oh wait you can’t). This is the same today, and will be the same tomorrow, as it has been for, again, decades. Dobbs vs Jackson Women's Health is a horrible loss in a multi-generational war over human rights that began long before any of us were born.
Yeah, Democrats are being way too complacent about all this. They are probably not going to fix it in 2023 by continuing as they are now.
But “does voting even matter“ people are gonna have to
Grow up
Put on your Big Kid Pants
And keep voting as you keep doing everything else you’re doing (you’re doing more than just voting and/or bitching online, right?)
Because voting alone won’t get us out of this mess, but it the mess will never go away if we do not vote.
I know a lot of these anti-voting people are supposedly like 18 years old, but you’re going to have to be a little more mature than a 5 year old and understand that a lack of instant gratification does not mean you did the wrong thing.
No, just voting is not enough. You still gotta, though.
And don’t forget to fight to repeal Citizens United.

"Clarence Thomas ruled in favor of Citizens United. Harlan Crow and his family's political contributions then went up 862%. Then we later find out Thomas let Crow take him on lavish trips, buy his mom's house, and help fund his wife's conservative nonprofit. See how this works?"

Reclaiming Democracy: The Imperative to Overturn Citizens United
Hello, champions of democracy! 🗽 In the ongoing journey to perfect our democratic processes, few Supreme Court decisions have sparked as much debate and concern as “Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission.” This landmark ruling, which equated corporate political spending with free speech, has profound implications for the very fabric of our democracy. Let’s delve into why overturning…

Brennan’s statement on Palestine :
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ ID: Statement from Brennan Lee Mulligan, on Instagram. It consists of three black squares with plain white text. The text reads as follows:
"I'm calling on my government officials to immediately demand a ceasefire and de-escalation in Gaza.
I applaud anyone and everyone calling for peace, with the understanding that real peace only exists if it deeply and honestly accounts for and fully ends violence in all its forms. Real peace addresses and corrects wrong-doing in the past and guards against it in the future. It goes hand in hand with justice and requires truth, restoration, reconciliation, reparation.
Peace cannot co-exist with collective punishment, ethnic cleansing and forced displacement. It cannot co-exist with blockades, embargoes, or with 2.2 million people, half of which are children, trapped with no hope of escape or political recourse. it cannot co-exist with murdered journalists, bombed hospitals, or years of protesters being shot and killed at the border. it cannot co-exist with illegal settlements, segregated roads, and the silent, imperial chill that settles over the gaps in the violence - the unspoken geopolitical consensus that a group of people need to unflinchingly accept permanent subjugation and occupation.
My hear breaks for every Israeli person who lost loved ones during the attacks of October 7th. It breaks for every Ukrainian person who has lost their loved ones. It breaks for every Congolese person who has lost their loved ones. I do not speak on behalf of Palestinians now because some lives are worth more than others. I speak on their behalf because I, and all Americans, have a responsibility to pressure our government because we are responsible for this. Some have said that this situation is complicated. The Unites States government clearly disagrees. It has definitively, categorically, militarily chosen a side, and I do not agree with that decision.
In wiring this, I have been wrestling with what I am sure many people like me wrestle with: There is a powerful narrative surrounding violence in the Middle East that asserts and ever-moving goalpost of self-education and study in order to even be qualified to have an opinion. As someone with a love of research, I have at times in my life fallen into the trap that I am not educated enough clever enough, or aware enough to have a worthwhile perspective, and that three more articles and two more lectures and one more book will do the trick. Unfortunately, democracy doesn't work that way - we, the citizens of any democracy, cannot possibly be experts on every aspect of the policies of our governments, and yet if we do not constantly weigh in an make our voices heard, the entire experiment falls apart. Not only do people constantly doubt themselves and the things they can see with their own two eyes, but old shortcuts for political action can fall apart as well: This specific issue exists along a raw, charged and unique faultline in American Politics. Nobody I grew up with has ever challenged me on my support for abortion rights, LGBT rights, Black Lives Matter, anti-capitalism, anti-fascism, none of it. The people in my country who would despise me for those positions are, for all intents and purposes, strangers to me. But there are people who I've broken bread with and shared honest affection with who will see the words I've written here and incorrectly conclude that I do not wish for the security, dignity and happiness of them and their loved ones, and that breaks my fucking heart. Full-throatedly condemning the actions of the Israeli government while battling rampant anti-semitism at home is an urgent moral necessity, and doing so is made unnecessarily challenging for the average person to navigate by the pointed obfuscations of cynical opportunists, bigots, and demagogues on all sides of the political spectrum who see some advantage in sowing that incredibly dangerous confusion.
So, I'm calling my representatives. I'm having hard conversations with friends and family. I'm here, talking to you. I should have done it sooner. If you're Israeli and hurt by this statement, know that I want freedom, dignity, security and peace for you, and that every ounce of my political awareness believes whole-heartedly that the actions of your government are not only destroying innocent lives, but doing so to the detriment of you and your loved ones' safety. If you're American and feel lost and confused - I understand and empathize. This, the whole country, only works when we get involved. I am constantly haunted by the specter that maybe I missed some crucial piece of information on this, or any, important world event. I'll just have to make my peace with that self-doubt and trust my gut by going with Jewish Voice for Peace, Amnesty International, the Geneva Conventions, the United Nations, etc. And if you're Palestinian and reading this: I unreservedly support your right to life, to freedom, to happiness and human flourishing, to full enfranchisement and equal rights, to opportunity, prosperity and abundance, to the restoration of stolen property and land, and to a Free Palestine." End ID ]
