Hello darling! I’ve tried several times to do time blocking and have my app calendar organised but it never works. I have adhd so it’s like I don’t know how to keep it up because I never found a method that it works for me. Can you share how you do it in case you do it? And some tips? I feel like it’ll help me to organise my life but I feel stuck every time I have to do it. Thank you <3

Hi love! Sharing my method below. Hope it's somewhat useful xx

To-Do List Planning:

Spend an hour or so on the weekend to list all of the important assignments/errands, etc. you need to complete during the week. Fill your calendar with your school/work/activity obligations first see an overview of how you will need to spend a considerable amount of time dedicated to each non-negotiable activity. Use this overview to help you map out the "free" time" you have and pre-schedule when you will do specific work projects, study for a particular exam, when you will run certain errands, engage in leisure activities, etc.

Before bed/dinner, use this weekly framework to finalize the next day – your agenda for the upcoming day. Determine the big 1-3 tasks you want to complete the following day and when throughout your day you will focus on these specific tasks. Giving yourself this pre-assigned schedule will eliminate decision fatigue and allow you to go into a more "autopilot" mode by completing the action you've already planned to take at any time of the day.

Important Date Reminders:

Utilize your Google Calendar and sync it to your iCloud (make sure it's private!) to allow you to write down any important dates available for viewing on your phone, computer, etc. at all times.

Create a color-coding system to organize your calendar (i.e. make any big projects due in blue, regular/smaller assignments to complete in red, important job reminders in yellow, errands tasks in green, family/friend obligations in purple, appointments in orange, etc.)

If you need to remember to submit certain paperwork, run an errand, etc., use your Reminders app to alert you at the time when you're able to complete this task before a deadline, going home, etc.

Use the location function or invite other participating members on a specific Google calendar event for any obligations where you need to be at a certain place at a specific time and/or are working on a group project, having a meeting, or need to be at a location with someone else.

I'm very into my "bookend" routines aka the rituals I do before I start my tasks for the day and how I wind down at night.

In the morning: Skincare, outfit, makeup, 2 big mugs of black coffee, reading articles & newsletters

In the evening: A long walk outside or a 15-30 minute YouTube workout/dance party session when the weather isn't optimal. Shower, skincare, get into sweats, make dinner, clean up around the house

To plan out my work week/days:

I use the 3-Month Productivity Planner by Intelligent Change (linked here). It's been my holy grail while building my business for the past 3-4 years. I also love having a physical "To-Do" list notepad next to me for tasks that come to mind or come up throughout the day that I want to organize/come back to later. (I always try to plan my week out on Sunday evenings and for the next day either before my evening routine or after dinner) I was gifted this one from The Daily Edited a few years ago and love it. Very much worth refilling the inserts.

For meetings: I use Google Calendar that's linked to my iCal. The notes section is essential for me.

For small tasks/bills/errands: I set scheduled Reminders for the day/time I need to pay a bill, write an email, schedule something for work or life, create a reminder for something I need to take before heading out to a meeting or appointment, something I need to buy at the pharmacy, etc.

As someone who in certain ways completely embodies the stereotypical "creative" type, my brain naturally goes in a million directions at once, so streamlining everything has become an important, deliberate habit and way of life for me. People think I'm naturally organized at this point in life, so I hope this system works for someone else out there too! x

So this cute ass idea came to me to make readers based off the Sanrio characters and I kind of just ran with it. It turned into a whole ass little AU. I had so much fun doing this, it’s been a minute since I got lost in creating something for hours. I do have main pairings in my mind for all of them BUT they’re absolutely interchangeable. Acts super bitchy but under the surface is a die hard romantic. Has never had a day job. Kind of unhinged, she will slash your tires if you do her wrong. Halloween obsessed. Has an OnlyFans. Reads romance novels in her free time. Spoiled brat. Has a tramp stamp. She’s the friend that says she’s “really not going to get that drunk tonight” but ends up getting dragged out of the party because she’s more wasted than everyone else, trying to fight people twice her size. She’s a multifaceted girlie. She’s a total boho beach bum but even when she’s on the beach she’s studying. Sporty. Played almost every sport in high school and was always the top of her class. Pouge. Total yogi. Going to school to be a veterinarian. Kind of a health nut, watches what she eats all week but let’s lose on the weekends with the girlies. Down to earth lover girl. She’s always there to listen when you need her and gives the best advice. Even if she is a little blunt about it. In my AU she is Pope’s Girl but I could also she her being with John B.

Cinnamon Roll Reader

Coquette soft girl. Shy and quiet until you get to know her. Professional Ballerina. Loves baby blue so much it’s part of her personality at this point. Kook. She grew up spoiled and sheltered so she’s a little clueless sometimes. Definitely has a planner and a strict daily routine. Loves to snack even though her ballet instructor tells her not to. Self care queen. Cry baby. Spends most of her time practicing for recitals and day dreaming. Cinna is kind of a wild card, I couldn’t decide who to pair her with, my first instinct is to make her Rafe’s girl but I could also see her and Jj being a polar opposite couple that balance each other out.

I’ve been using a leather Ganni tote for school+work and my shoulders are killing me for it. Which color Artois MM should I get? This style makes me feel like a hag but I love my burgundy Boheme so much, that I crave the lightness and care-free canvas. I’m also open to other slightly-structured, zippered totes. For example, Longchamp Le Pliage is too unstructured with an annoying extra flap, and I hate using inserts. I caved last year and bought a backpack (🤢) from Maison de Sabre, but it made me feel like a ninja turtle despite it being fairly nice for a backpack. I’ll save it for my future kid. Plus, I prefer the way a roomy tote fits stuff rather than a backpack. FYI, the Faure Le Page canvas is ugly to me. I need to fit a laptop and/or iPad, A4 file organizer, planner, notebooks, toiletry pouch, wallet, and water bottle.

Trish x Abella Wedding Heacanons 👰👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩👰

Here’s a link to my JJBA Masterlist I write a lot of character x reader. I also have Trish x Abella under the Trish x OC category if you’re interested in their story. My OC is a self insert OC so she’s me. I like creating OC content for fun. I enjoy talking about OCs so feel free to tell me about your own OCs if you like.

Trish would be the one to propose with how confident she is. They get married within three years of their committed relationship to each other. Trish truly understood Abella was her soul mate after knowing her for seven years. It was when Abella dedicated a fashion line of clothing to her beloved Trish she knew Abella was her bride to be. The popstar proposed to Abella after a garden date. While they looked over the flowers she got on her knee popping the question to Abella. The ring she offered Abella is a rose gold band with a huge pink heart shaped diamond center outlined in diamonds. Trish would have a ring with similar colors but a big diamond with the band covered in small diamonds. She spent a month figuring out how she wanted to propose and what rings she would want for them.

Trish would be twenty-one by this point and Abella would be twenty-five. They marry in 2008 around spring time.

The two desire a pink rose theme so they’ll book somewhere private with a ballroom and huge pink rose garden. The garden will be where they marry in front of the rose covered gazebo.

Trish would’ve loved Bruno Bucciarati to walk her down the isle but after his passing she grew close friends to her companions she met when she was fifteen. She asks none other than Giorno Giovanna to would walk her down the isle. The don was pleasantly surprised and accepted. He felt honored and was a friend of Abella’s as well, he was happy upon hearing the news of the girl’s marriage.

For Abella her treasure hunting uncle would walk her down the isle as she has no other father figure in her life. Her father died in a tragic accident after she moved away from New York when she was fourteen. Her uncle was someone who inspired her to become a treasure hunter after she established her fashion boutique in France with her best friend, Crisella.

The entire wedding would have a garden theme and the two young women would spend much time together planning. They knew what they desired so no wedding planner was necessary. Their friends in Passione would help them plan. Giorno offered to help cover costs for much of their wedding much to the girl’s surprise. They would thank him countless times and squeeze him into hugs. Much to the surprise of their blonde friend. He isn’t used to hugs but accepted them. He would help them with the flowers too since his stand has no trouble growing them.

There would be no expense too high for Trish’s outfit. She went shopping for a short white bridal dress with all her friends. They would help her pick her outfit for the wedding. It would be Giorno, Mista, Fugo, Polnareff, and many of her friends from her popstar life.

The day before the wedding she gets a manicure with hot pink tips fading to pink. She hires her hairstylist and makeup artist who normally take care of her looks before she goes on stage to perform. They’re eager to help her achieve her look for the wedding. Her hair is styled about the same but styled to be more elegant. Her hair is a bit longer reaching to her shoulders. For makeup she has pink lips with sparkly rose gold eyeshadows and long black flirty lashes. She’ll wear a pair of rosegold pearl earrings to finish off her look.

Her attire consists of a short white bridal dress with puffy off the shoulder sleeves. For her shoes they’re white lace heals with thin white bows at the heal. She’ll wear short white lace gloves and a small head accessory with a small veil shielding her face.

Abella being the fashion designer she is takes it upon herself to design her wedding dress. She’ll spend months sewing together the lace and gown together. Her strapless ball gown will be the wedding dress of her dreams. The gown itself is elegant with a floor length, giving enough room to show off her heals as she walks. She’ll buy a long cathedral wedding veil with lace and white bridal heals with white thin ribbons tied into bows around her ankles. She’ll decide to wear a black tailcoat vest with enough room to show off the front of her dress, making for a heart shaped look at the chest. The black tailcoat will be short with two small buttons in the front. Her wrists will have black suit cuffs and gold teal colored rose cuff links. She’ll wear rose gold hanging earrings with teardrop teal jewels to match the cuff links.

The day of the wedding Bella’s staff and friends will help her get ready at the boutique. Abella owns her own boutique with her business partner and bestie Crisella, so it’s big enough to accommodate all her friends. Since it’s self owned she closed for the day so all her staff could go to her wedding. They help her into her gown and give her a makeover. They like to call it a bridal makeover.

All her friends are good at makeup and hair. Abella has long dark locks of curls that require a lot to maintain. Her curls are waist length. Three of her friends begin to style it since she has so much hair to work with. One friend focuses on her eye makeup going for nude brown colors and shimmering inner corners to bring out Bella’s big brown eyes. Her long lashes are attached with an elegant look to them. Her lip gloss is a natural pink much like her manicured nails one of her staff members took upon themselves to do. Her manicure looked similar to a French tip.

After all is said and done Abella has curls dropping beside her face to shape her face. A big strand of her hair was wrapped around her head while the rest of her curls fell behind her shoulders. Her hairs falls down her back and waist. After she is done getting ready her friends begin to cry and take pictures of her inside her boutique. They all get ready for the wedding since they’re bridesmaids.

Finally at the huge rose garden Bella is walked down the isle first and her uncle has a smile upon his face as he’s walking her down the isle. His gold tooth among the rest of his white teeth shining eagerly as he smiles. His normal black eye patch is switched out with one having a pink rose stitched to his eyepatch. He wears a black suit with the front showing off some of his chest. The leather boots and ponytail finish off his look. He towers over the small bride at 5’11. Her long wedding viel is two tiered so the front covers her torso and face. The gown is big covering the area she walks by.

Her uncle gives her such a proud and loving smile before he kisses her head whispering an, “I love you” and she returns the loving words to her emotional uncle. Her veil is so long Mista and his stands take it upon themselves to fix it prompting Abella to thank them with a kiss to the foreheads. They all give her a thumbs up as they take their seats. Number five is crying and surprisingly the others don’t pick on him for it.

Abella tried keeping it together since she felt so overwhelmingly happy. Her loved ones in the crowd crying as well. Trish’s side is filled with mafioso, her manager, fellow celebrities, famous fashion designers or models she’s met, etc. They’re not emotional like Abella’s side but they do smile upon seeing Trish.

Soon it’s Trish’s turn to walk down the isle. Giorno is beside her wearing a pink suit with golden ladybug button accessories. The undershirt is black with the vest matching his jacket. His outfit is complete with a red tie and white gloves. His hair is down with a pink rose sticking by his ear. He is smiling but his smile doesn’t compare to Trish’s.

The pink haired bride is smiling like never before. It’s such a gaze she only makes while she’s singing on stage. Such a smile will make for a lovely picture as in the near future it will be used on the cover of a magazine when it’s revealed she had married. She kisses Giornos cheek before he gives Abella a kind smile which she returns with a thankful teary eyed expression. He’s happy for his dear friends and thinks it’s nice to witness their beautiful display of love with this marriage. More so when he hears their vows to each other later. He takes a seat between Fugo and Polnareff. His consigliere crying rivers of tears for poor Fugo to deal with. Who wipes off his purple suit with a tired sigh. Polnareff always cries at weddings.

Trish is greeted to Abella who is crying tears of joy. She tells Trish how beautiful she looks. Trish returns the compliment as she lifts her brides veil, gently placing it behind her head. Abella’s teary eyes are filled with love but she’s wiping off her tears. Afterwards the two say their vows and “I do’s” with tears running down their faces. Abella shyly kisses her bride and their picture is taken by their photographer.

They run down the isle together holding hands and looking at each other with love. Abella’s side is cheering while Trish’s side applauds. They’ll be taking pictures at the gazebo with all their friends and family.

Everyone makes it to the ballroom to dance. The brides are greeted by all their loved ones. Their bridesmaids crying and giving the two a big group hug.

Giorno takes it upon himself to steal the first dance by inviting Trish with a gentlemanly bow. She accepts while Abella giggles. Not long after her uncle asks her to dance with him. The two brides end up dancing with everyone.

Abella and Trish attack their dessert table since they’ve been eating so healthy to look good for the wedding. The giant wedding cake had their favorite flavors. Red velvet and extra dark chocolate for Trish who devoured two pieces. Carrot cake for Abella who also had strawberry shortcake from the dessert table. The two had plenty of guests especially Trish since she’s a celebrity. They took plenty of pictures with the wedding cake since it was so incredibly over priced.

At the end of the night they toss their bouquets who ended up being Fugo and Abella’s maid of honor, Crisella. Fugo was pleasantly surprised he caught it. He caught Trish’s bouquet. He was walking by to serve himself strawberry shortcake. Bella’s best friend was screaming as she cheered catching her bouquet.

The blushing brides end up at an expensive hotel Trish booked. For their honeymoon they traveled to Cancun to enjoy three days together. Trish would get many calls from her manager upon the news of her marriage being known as many wanted to contact her about it once she’s back from her honeymoon.

I already talked about noteworthy au here but here's a bit more that I can give you on character profiles (note that I don't actually have a lot of musical experience, just school chorus up through middle school so be kind if I've gotten anything wrong):

reading this back, I'm actually now tempted to switch henry and pez in terms of their vocal registers because I think it would be very cool and gender of pez to have a deeper voice while caring fuck all about the gender binary, but I'm also a little attached to alex-pez tenors and all the mischief they get up to

as for orange au, this one is based on the manga/anime orange by ichigo takano and is for omniscient reader's viewpoint. I'm not sure how much you (or most of my other followers) know about orv, there are some very light orv spoilers, and orange is a story that deals with some heavy topics, so it's all going below the cut (including the content warnings)

first, here's a link to a very good overview of orv in terms of what it is, a summary of the plot, why it's special, about the characters/their relationships, and some caveats. it's a little long so feel free to read only as much as you want for context

what you need to know for its relevance to this au idea is that through reading orv you slowly find out that its main character kim dokja is a self-sacrificial piece of shit (affectionate) who is also very much allergic to emotional intimacy due to some childhood trauma. in the world of orv (fantastical, apocalyptic), he often will make his own plans to sacrifice himself in exchange for saving his friends' lives despite their repeated instance that they don't want him to do this and they'd rather figure out alternative plans

so it's very easy to map this tendency to the plot of orange, which is about a high school student who is trying to prevent the death of a friend after receiving letters from her future self in a parallel universe where she (and her larger friend group) lost this friend to suicide. the letters suggest ideas on how to make this friend feel less alone and less suicidal by making different decisions at critical points, as her future self (and the other friends' future selves) is very regretful that she didn't try harder to be there for him because no one realized he was struggling so badly

obviously this story isn't super realistic for a number of reasons, including the fact that the most any of us can take on is trying to be supportive of friends/family/etc who are struggling, not actually be responsible for keeping them alive. that is not a reasonable responsibility to take on and would be far too heavy for the person/people carrying it. also responsible adults and professionals should absolutely be consulted in this type of scenario, which is never brought up in the context of the story. insert many more caveats here that i cannot currently think of

however, at the same time, i also think that the story does a really good job of exploring themes of inevitability, regret, and choice which is why it's stuck with me for 7.5 years now. plus i think it just works really well with the characters of orv which is why I want to make an au of it

I just spent like an hour customizing it :3

The "charm" on the front is a holey stone i found at lake Michigan forever ago. I added the beads to the bookmarks (and i actually added the 2nd bookmark)

I also added two more elastics so i could have 3 notebook inserts without used the rubber band method.

For inserts i have the traveler's company's free monthly planner, an off-brand craft folder, the pencil board from traverler's, the blank notebook that came with the cover, an off-brand plastic zipper pouch, and the traveler's notebook watercolor insert. :3

I got the pencil board, calendar, and water color insert off of the traveler's company website which was pretty cheap and the rest off of amazon

My reminder system is starting to get stale and needs to be refreshed,

so I think now's a good time to make a Long Post about how I use the iOS/OSX Reminders app to keep on top of my shit,

even with

ADHD Sponge Brain

Alright, so because I'm an adult with ADHD, I need a system that can collect my every thought as soon as I have them with as little friction as possible, so that I can keep on top of my shit (all of which has varying importance).

I've tried many different apps and physical tools for this! Planners, task matrices, Habitica.. nothing really sticks. Except for this, and it's literally just Reminders.

My first step was to throw the default list in the fucking trash and make a new list called Inbox.

This is what my Inbox looks like at the beginning of the day: a handful of random thoughts dictated to Siri, added via Share (like the one with the link attached already was shared directly from my browser), or entered directly into the app.

In Settings, you can make this the Default List (important).

When I have a random thought, it's "hey siri, add 'brilliant fucking idea' to my Inbox list." Or, Share > Reminders > and then choose the Inbox list.

With the whole Shortcuts thing, I'm sure there's some clever ways to automate adding things to this list, too: like if you need to follow up on an email or whatever. I haven't messed with it too much because I've found the more little widgets and shit I add, the more distracting the process becomes, and it's harder to use.

Every morning (or, uh, with the intent of doing this every morning and the grace to understand that I have ADHD and once or twice a week is also acceptable), I process my Inbox.

Processing means I go through the thoughts in my Inbox and either attend to them immediately, delete them, or rename and tag them. Tasks that are left get moved to another official list that's all nice and sortable.

Naming a task is critical! A task should have a verb, or my Immediate Gratification Monkey Brain won't know what the fuck I meant or what I'm supposed to do. That's why "transit card" was renamed to "Research Japan transit card."

The tags I use for tasks are:

Estimated time to complete the task: 5, 15, or 30.

If it's going to take less than 5 minutes, I do it right away. If it's going to take longer than 30, it's going to have commitment a tag.

This is not so much a planning tool as it is a source of reassurance. The idea behind the original system is that if you have 15 minutes free, you can quickly find your easiest tasks and knock a few out! In practice, this serves to tell me "don't worry, it's only going to take 15 minutes to do this."

Commitment: one-off, event, or project.

A one-off is a task that's one and done—it doesn't have additional subtasks or moving parts or anything complicated like that.

An event is something that needs to happen at a certain time, like taking the garbage to the curb or shipping a birthday gift.

A project is a task that's either going to have subtasks or is going to take a LONG TIME: like doing the laundry (wash it, dry it, fold it, put it away), or finishing a coat I promised to crochet for my niece.

Context: phone if the task requires a call or internet if the task requires .. the internet.

Sometimes I use drive for a task I can't do at home, or tag with a person's name if they're required to complete task.

I don't look for tasks with these tags very often, but sometimes I'm in a place where I have the energy to get a bunch of phone calls out of the way and it's useful to pull up every phone task at once.

Non-tasks: Kind of a weird subcategory here, but not every thought in my Inbox is a task, exactly.

Research is for when I need to go... research some stuff. A lot of times I need more information before I can plan out a proper task or project. If a task ends up being a question instead of an imperative, it's going under Research.

Shopping is for a task that is purely "buy (insert thing here)." I have a grocery list I manage in a different app entirely, so this is mostly for non-necessities I don't want to forget to purchase when payday rolls around.

Someday is for a task I'd like to get to at some point but it's not a priority. This is pie-in-the-sky, daydreaming, "wouldn't be fun if I..." kind of stuff.

Notes is not actually a tag I use but I have a list specifically for thoughts that aren't really actionable in any way. It's kind of a catchall-list of things like bookmarks, gift ideas, and recommendations from friends.

An important thing I've learned about my tasks list is that I should not attach due dates to a task unless the due date is critical to the task itself. I used to think that if I attached dates to my tasks it would also attach a sense of urgency. In reality, all it did was make me clear bunch of alerts instead of listening to them, and then I get a bunch of red in my Reminders. Annoying.

After the tasks are all tagged, I click and drag them into their new lists. The main list for tasks, I've named Get Things Done (after the system this is based on).

...This is what Get Things Done looks like when I've fallen off the wagon. I used to feel a lot of shame about this but honestly it's fine. It really is part of the process—sometimes the monkey brain needs a quick shower and a change of scenery.

When I see I've got tasks building up and I have lost track of what's even on my list, that means it's time to go in and recontextualize some tasks, which usually means clearing them because they're no longer relevant, retagging them, or just picking a couple to do right away.

Here I've cleaned it up a bit as part of my regular refreshing ceremony: I cleared my repeating past-due tasks (there's no point in keeping them around just to make myself feel bad), cleared tasks that are no longer relevant, and cleared tasks I've already done and forgot to mark.

The rest I can actually build Smart Lists for. Smart Lists have gotten a lot more useful: it used to be you could only have them build from one tag, but now you can get a little wild with the filters.

An easy way to take advantage of this is to make a Smart List with all your shit that would be easy to finish.

I use Smart Lists to keep my Research tasks and my Shopping items in their own lists. Depending on the tags you use with this, you could do things like make Smart Lists of every tasks that takes less than 30 minutes, doesn't require a phone, and idk requires your Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor to come with you. It's your lists.

Anyway, try it out! No overhead, no distracting features, just the basic-ass Reminders app.

It's mid-November and I'm still in full techo kaigi mode (anyone else with me?) 📚📖🧐. Whenever I get some free time, I spend it trying to perfect my 2023 planner system. I know that's not possible (planner peace is an illusion! 🥲) but it's a lot of fun and makes me feel excited about a time in my life that is genuinely very scary (graduating school and starting my professional career in earnest 😵‍💫😵). I have a million little notes and ideas floating around, but this was a particularly helpful session of figuring out what's working and not working in my personal planner (Hobonichi Cousin Avec A5) and work planner (which will be a Hobonichi Original A6), so I thought I would share! These notes are directed at myself, so don't read them as instructions. 😉 They're to help me remember how I want to use various aspects of the planner's layout. To make these, I just drew digitally over some images of sample Hobonichi spreads I screen shot from the Jetpens product page. I'm always looking for better ideas and solutions to planner problems. I'm still trying to figure out how to make my work planner more effective. I tried using the Franklin Covey inserts this year, but it was a total fail. I just wanted to try it but it wasn't for me (I still use their overall structure/system but the inserts themselves were too limiting). I'm worried that I'll just go back to relying on digital notes and reminders, but I'm trying to cut that out since my digital planning is way too all over the place. I find myself leaving reminders and lists in random spots that get forgotten about. I'm also going to begin using the monthly spread differently in my personal planner, which I'm excited about. 🤔☺️
