HAPPY NEW YEAAAAAR, GUYSSSSS!! And yes, it’s now Twenty Twenty Three and it’s time for having a new planner~ yieeee~.

Usually, before the year ends, I buy a planner on a certain shop beforehand, but when pandemic happened, I stopped to buy one and made my own planner instead. And, yes, until now I still do the same. It’s just so addicting and satisfying that whenever I see the planner inserts I make and it being printed in paper, I become proud of myself. hahaha lol.

Anyway, I always use Adobe InDesign in creating my planner inserts because it’s easy to use and convenient to me. For the graphics, I use Adobe Photoshop and Procreate.

I usually use A5 Journal paper with 100gsm but since I didn’t have it the time I printed these planner inserts, I used Oslo paper instead. It’s a little bit rough though but what I like about the paper is its thickness.

I always use A5 size for my inserts because it’s the standard size for planners.

I don’t know, but my friends and my cousins were stunned when they learned that I am taking Juris Doctor Degree or Bachelor of Laws since they always find me as a quiet and shy girl. But, of course, they don’t take it in a negative way, in fact, they were encouraging me to finish the degree because they believe that I can survive JD despite possessing those characters. Well, I couldn’t agree more. Most people would say that JD degree is for those who are very confident, which I admit I don’t possess, and that they would see a silent and shy person has no place in law school, which nevertheless, I refuse to agree. It’s a MYTH because I have seen successful people especially attorneys who have those characters, and I am greatly in awe of them!

Going back, I’m still adjusting of my surroundings. For me, it was really hard to mingle with other people especially that I’m an introvert person. However, when I joined a law fraternity, I realized that I became too comfortable staying in my comfort zone and that there’s more to see outside of my zone. I grew a lot. Yes, that’s how the law fraternity gave me and I’m thankful.  (But hey, this is my opinion only. If you want to go to law school, I’m not encouraging you to join fraternity. :D)

But yes, I’m still adjusting pa hahaha. To everything hihihi.

Anyway, I’m in my third year now. Hopefully, I’ll be able to finish the course without any interruptions, like, going off semester because of work.

You guys, if you want to go to law school, make sure you are always prepared hahaha. Yes, I mean it. I always thought that my undergraduate course was the hardest degree but I changed my mind, it’s the law school that makes on the top and it’s making me maaaaad!! Just kidding! Naaaah, in law school, you’ll really have to devote your time to it, RELIGIOUSLY!

Hello, loves! I might be late for the trend but I just discovered that sticker labels are good for planners! I mean, they are just so convenient and time saver because for someone like me, it’s really tough to handwrite labels especially when you’re not that really good in arts. Awww.

Anyway, I am sharing this free printable sticker to all of you. This is my first label printable stickers that I created and it comes with to-do lists and bullets. The size is US Letter (8.5″ x 11″). Download, print, and enjoy planning! ;)

Brownies

Homemade brownies. ❤️ yay! Look at those cracks! So yummy and fudgy!

Just gonna share here how I baked this yummy thing. 😄

INGREDIENTS

1/2c butter, unsalted and melted

1/2c unsweetened cocoa

1/2c all purpose flour

1 1/4c white sugar

2 eggs

1tsp vanilla

1/8tsp salt

1/2c chocolate chips

PROCEDURE

Preheat oven to 175c/300f

Put a parchment paper in your baking pan and grease it with butter.

Combine and heat butter and cocoa powder together. You can add another 1/2c of unsweetened cocoa powder if you don’t want your brownies too sweet.

In a mixing bowl, mix egg whites and sugar. In my case, I used hand mixer.

Combine the butter and cocoa mixture and the egg whites and sugar together. Add vanilla, and salt.

Add the flour and fold it thoroughly. Then finally add the chocolate chips.

Bake for 21-23mins.

Nowadays, Korean skin care products are very popular for their natural ingredients and they contained less chemicals. Moreover, they are loved because such products can help you achieve of what they call “glass skin” like most Koreans have. Right? ;)

I admit that I also use some Korean beauty and skin care products, and what I like about them, are, aside from they are almost organic, the same are unscented, or if not, has a mild scent.

Last March, I stumbled upon a Korean beauty/skin care product shop on Instagram and saw this Etude Baking Powder B.B Deep Cleansing Foam from the said shop. So since I was looking for ‘effective’ facial wash or any skin care products that could get rid of my post-acne pigmentation, I decided to buy one.

PACKAGING: It’s packaged in a plastic tube and it’s a little bit larger for a 150 ml.

SMELL: It has a mild scent. I don’t know the exact smell but for me it smells like a car freshener, like, I hate the smell at first but I got used to it.

IS IT EFFECTIVE?

YES! I was amazed the first time I used it because it quickly dried my pimples. I noticed that some of my acne marks lightened when I continuously use it for months.

Recently, I have been watching some tutorials on YouTube on how to make a seamless pattern. I don’t know, it was just out of the blue when I thought of learning it. Well, I admit that I am not really good in arts and really lazy to make one from scratch; But as an aspiring web designer, I thought to myself that maybe it would be an advantage for me to learn this kind of digital art especially that I am a web designer-freelancer. So yes, I taught myself again to a new thing. Ha-ha. Hopefully I won’t get tired. lol

PS. Guys, if you think that making digital arts like patterns is easy, you better think twice! We should be grateful to those designers who give their works for free because they are so amazing! <3

MY ALIEXPRESS EXPERIENCE

I usually don’t do virtual shopping from foreign country because the shipping fee is a lil bit pricey. But when I tried at AliExpress, which is a China e-commerce, I think it’s pretty cool!

I found AliExpress through pop-up advertisement some years ago and used to ignore it whenever I see it but when I started collecting washitapes, I became an e-commerce site explorer! I searched for online shops that sell washitapes, and that’s when I bumped into AliExpress again because they sell sooo many washitapes! (and Alibaba.. haha) I also search some random things on the said e-commerce site because they offer various things which I cannot find in local e-commerce.. but lol, I never ever think of buying those because of the reason that I might not be able to get them. Pretty ironic. HAHA.

But, just last month, December 2017, I found a cute blouse in AliExpress which, of course, caught my attention and I was amazed by the fact that its not very pricey, so I decided to buy 2 pieces of the blouse. At first, I was really hesitant to place an order because I don’t know how and where to receive it; but I thought to myself that it’s “not that expensive so yeah, why not try.”, so I decided to place an order. 

I ordered on December 29, 2017 and the package arrived on January 17, 2018 at Iligan Post Office. That’s, basically, 19-20 days. By the way, in AliExpress, there are choices of carriers or cargo (like China Post Registered Air Mail, DHL,FedEx, UPS, etc.). In my case, I chose China Post Registered Air Mail since it’s free of charge. But take note, China Post Registered Air Mail is not always free of charge, it only depends on the seller whether he wants to charge you for the carrier or not. So, last week, I received a text message from Iligan Post Office, saying that my parcel has arrived and I have to claim it within the week, otherwise it will be returned. Also, they told me to prepare 112 pesos when claiming the parcel.

I went to the post office the next day after receiving their text, and finally, I claimed the items. Yayy! It’s a first for me to claim an item at the post office! Hahah. Another goal achieved! When claiming, you have to present your ID and of course, don’t forget the 112 pesos charge. In my case, I presented my school ID since I am still a student and don’t have any other valid IDs. I thought there would be other requirements to claim an item in post office, but silly me! It’s just my stupid thought. Haha! (But.. uhm.. anyway, I have an issue on their record book. Are they still in 20th century? Lol) So okay, these are the items I ordered from AliExpress.

Uhm. Well. To my excitement, when I went home, I immediately wore the blouses, but unfortunately, they’re small to me. Yes, they still fit but it is not my actual size. :/ Also the fabric is a chiffon see-through, it’s not the same fabric they described on the description which is cotton. That made me realize why the items are cheap. 

So guys, when you buy things online, be very careful. Make reading as your habit and read every details and descriptions of the item first. :)

ALIEXPRESS’s PROs: user-friendly, items are cheaper compared to other e-commerce sites. Sellers are responsive in chats.

CONs: Longer shipping times, sometimes it takes up to 1-3 months, and sometimes you can’t get the item at all!

OVERALL: AliExpress is a very nice e-commerce platform! You can’t find any sites that sell cheaper prices than AliExpress. :)

DESIGN YOUR LIFE PLANNER 2018.

Last October, I decided to pre-order a Design Your Life Planner 2018 from cnsdesigns. The seller said that pre-orders will be shipped in November. Indeed, the planner was sent to me one month after I placed my order, and it was worth waiting for, because aside from having the chic planner, it also comes with freebies. So to those who decided to pre-oreder, we made a great decision! :)

The picture above was the package sent at my sister-in-law’s residence on November 27. I wasn’t there when the package was delivered, so my brother had to receive it and I got it two days after the delivery. :)
