AU Context: Ben is a demon, the same species as Dagon. The exact details I’m a bit uncertain on. One idea I had is that he’s the result of Dagon trying to split a part of himself off and send it to ben’s universe before he was sealed away. This didn’t work out as intended, however, severing the Avatar’s connection to Dagon when the rift was sealed. This left it very weak and without much of a conscious, drifting in and out of reality. Over time, it eventually stabilized, but so much exposure to human culture over those many years caused it to materialize as, well, a baby. And Sandra and Carl aren’t just going to leave a baby they found in the woods, so they have a kid now.
Funnily enough, Ben and his family have no idea he’s a demon until the Dagon arc, since when he was little his demon traits weren’t super noticeable, and then he found the omnitrix, whereupon Ben relies on that so often he doesn’t really have a chance to explore his own innate demon powers.

Decided to switch back to Ben 10's prime universe for a bit and do some art with my OC, Sal. And here I depicted a moment where Salvadora, who has known Joseph Chadwick since the time he was the director of alien technology for the Forever Knight, meets her dear adversary once again for the first time after most of the Forever Knights' forces were destroyed in the war against Dagon and Chadwick became the king of the few remaining members of the organization.

saw someone saying that uaf isnt so deep like "we think it is" and used the catching a falling star episode as an example.........
i get where they coming from and i agree (for a lot of reasons that im not willing to dive rn) but its not like uaf fans are crazy for seeing this particular series as the darkest one
ben 10 in 2005 was like: aliens go brrr, wacht not working, swapping bodies trope... kids sterotypes, cake (big ass cake) and they even got trapped in some sort of toys factory that santa claus himself commanded
but ben 10 in 2010 had:
murder (pierce, doctor pervs, some guy that carl shot for no reason, the trio being sacrificed for charmcaster father's soul, kwarrel, knights...)
aliens being hunted, trapped, manipuled and killed (aggregor arc and the purge episode)
slave labor due to the drug trafficking scheme that a penitentiary director coordinated in the null void... the same dude also coldly murdered kwarrel.
Elena
10 year old ben explaining that joking was his way to cope with such big responsibilities (that hit me harder than i can tell)
jennifer and nesmith taking the '03 bonnie & clyde video way too seriously
vilgax and *scientology* dudes snatching wigs
cthulhu doing a thing
saint george being summoned
xeneth divorcing her man bc......... genocide
ben sending death threats to a bald man
ben sending death threats to his bff
ben trying to kill his bff
ultimates trying to kill ben
ben dying
ben undying after that
prisoner 775 (the audience was 11 year old boys)
and other things that TODAY i see with different eyes
didn't had much depth, but we werent used to see these topics back then

As much as I love Ben 10 I cant deny that it can sometimes suffer from simplistic writing, especially in it's villain department.
Like, it's clear why Kevin was the fan favorite villain ; he's developed and has more traits than just evil, he is an in depth and interesting character. Vilgax is cool but what traits does he have other than sadism? He is evil to everyone he meets and negotiates with nobody, because he is one track minded and all he can think is "I want my Omnitrix and I want it now so I can rule the galaxy". Who is Vilgax besides evil? I won't deny, being willing to dissect children slowly or being a world-conquering war lord who is very okay with causing genocide on Tetrax's home planet (with Tetrax's unwitting assistance and subsequent abject shock and fear) is fucked up and I love that, but my god I wish his traits were developed more.
Even though I'm also a huge Dr. Animo fan, he hasn't many traits beyond being an entitled terror upon society and animal lover, but I enjoy his progression of being power hungry and desperate for more ever since he gained any power from a fraction of the Omnitrix, whereas Gaxy boy over here never progresses : send in the drones, get the assassins, beat up the 10 year old and get fucked up after saying "GIVE ME THE FUCKING ALIEN ROLEX TENNYSON I AM SO SICK OF ASKING" 78 times. The Big Tick did more of a number on earth than Vilgax ever did, and that thing lasted one episode and was destroyed by Cannonbolt alone.
The Forever Knights did just about jack shit too, as it always felt like they were stopped before their plans even began. Ben would stop them at step one most of the time, save for when they got to the sword past the God in that ancient temple, just for their plan to fall apart (literally) as the sword crumbled. Their biggest time as a threat was when they put ben into a dream to get the omnitrix, for once their plan actually progressed and they posed a true threat.
Even then, the Forever King shows up and does literally nothing after hiring every other human villain which only subsequently proved that Animo is the most effective villain of them all. The Forever King made everyone do the work for him, picked up some power thing, did almost nothing with it and was destroyed by Upchuck.
I wish more Ben 10 villains had the depth Kevin had, as Kevin is a phenomenal villain, and is only proven moreso in Ken 10 where he is a fucking despicable person to his son and has only sunken further into his maniacal nature and urge for superiority over others rather than seeking self acceptance and forgiveness to himself, leading a side-villain to he more in-depth and interesting than the main bad guy.

The Organization, Forever Knights
The Forever Knights exist since King Arthur’s reign, but had gone into hiding after losing a war against the Plumbers in the 1910’s. In this time, they worked on increasing their numbers again. They took the name of “The Organization” and started influencing world events from behind the curtains. Most of notable world events had something to do with the Forever Knights, including the deactivation of the Plumbers organization.
They gather all alien technology and artifacts they can get their hands on, and use it to further their agenda and strengthen their grip on the world. Field operatives such as Enoch exist just for that. They go on covert operations around the world to look for alien tech and investigate rumors, the last and mor interesting being a string of alien sightings across the USA.

The Organization of Secrets. The Order of Eternity. The Forever Knights. In ancient times, they were a powerful force for good, protecting our world more than a millennia ago from a force beyond our imagination. Today, they are mere technological scavengers with a bone to pick to those from beyond our atmosphere.
Tumblr media
The modern day Forever Knights began with a disgruntled Plumber agent known as Driscoll. Disagreeing with his organization’s practices of dealing with alien life, he felt that all alien life should be considered a threat. Stealing what alien tech he could from the plumbers, he founded his new faction and patterned them after the legendary order of old, stylizing himself as their Forever King, planning to do whatever was necessary to deal with all those from the stars that would set foot on Earth.
Tumblr media
However, Driscoll’s fall began when his subordinate, a power hungry knight known as Enoch, discovered a power beyond any the Knights had faced before. A young boy with a device capable of transmogrifying the wielder into alien forms possessing incredible powers. Enoch grew obsessed with this power, trying and trying to obtains it, ultimately becoming his downfall.
Tumblr media
But Driscoll too saw potential in this power, but recognized the difficulty in attaining it, and so assembled a team of the boy’s enemies to fight him and his allies. But even this formidable force was unable to overcome, and so Driscoll fled without his armor, going into hiding.
In his absence, the Forever Knights fractured. Some, like Driscoll’s former lieutenant Enoch, became enamored with the incredible power of alien technology, seeking to amass what they could, even going as far as to trade with alien races to do so. Others, like Patrick Pendrake, sought to continue Driscoll’s mission of defending Earth by any means necessary. And there were those, like The Forever Knight, an artificial piloting mechanized armor, that simply sought out revenge on the boy that had defeated the faction over and over.
Tumblr media
Over the follow five years, the factions of Forever Knights increased, and their leaders became known as Forever Kings to officiate their leadership. By the time Driscoll returned, the Forever Knights were too splintered to put together, and so he rallied those still loyal to him into his own faction of Knights to continue his mission.
Truly, it would take a true Knight to unite these factions once more...

Are the Forever Knights a factor in the Ben 10 Trollhunters Crossover?
They are Jim's main enemies amongst the Ben 10 rogue gallery. You can say King Arthur's known hatred towards the magical has now expanded to anything non-human from beyond the grave. A good chunk of Forever Knights had found remnants from his rule and were inspired by it.
Sometimes the past refuses to stay buried.

I've just realized that Annie no doubt hates the Forever Knights for what they nearly did to her dad Andreas and how their racism views her adoption to the Andromeda five as a disgusting act despite how Annie is happy with her new parents.
Them AND Argit, if word ever got out to her, Andreas or the rest of the Andromeda 5 (if i don't steal necromancer argit from karachi and the associated ficlet ready to reblog sitting in my drafts, which opens a whole new can of worms).
Kinda similar to her relationship with Ben (though obviously different enough), Annie when hearing about the Forever Knights thought 'these folks are the worse AND tacky', but after being adopted it's become personal. It's a little separate to her opinion of Agreggor because she formed an opinion on the FKs previously, but now even her opinions of 'knights in shining armour' too have sorta been affected.
