I think we should take every fictional world and make them canon to each other. Just for funsies. Half of the damn things are canon to eachother anyway, let's just connect up some of these islands and we'll be golden.
And then we take it a step further and make them all real. I think that would improve society.

Star Trek - You're basically enlisted military now.
Star Wars - You're a peacekeeper in a time of war. (glowy swords are all fun and games until somebody loses a limb)
Dune - How does being a noble help here? You're just more likely to be assassinated.
MCU - Your power is random, it might suck (Rogue and Cyclops, for example). You or your loved ones have been snapped for five years. Probably lots of other shit, I dunno, who can keep track.
Percy Jackson - Being a half-blood is dangerous. It's scary. Most of the time, it gets you killed in painful, nasty ways.
Harry Potter - Your family and friends do not have magic. No internet, just owls. Dark lord might attack your school. Slavery. Basically every ism.
Middle Earth - “I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo. “So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times."
Neverland - You are a child who will never grow up. Also no electricity or indoor plumbing.
Wonderland - Wave goodbye to your kitty, you are now stuck in an insane dream.

Story Prompt 31
In the dimly lit room, shadows played on the walls as the two figures stood close, their connection palpable. Their eyes locked, an unspoken language weaving between them.
As they gazed into each other's eyes, a magnetic force seemed to pull them closer. The air crackled with anticipation, and though their clothes remained, an invisible fire simmered beneath the surface.
His voice, a velvet whisper, brushed against her ear, sending shivers down her spine. "You know, princess, you've been an awfully good girl." The words hung in the air, creating a tension that begged to be explored.
Her senses heightened as his deep chuckle reverberated. She felt herself melting, not just from the sultry words but from the promise that lingered in the air.
"Already melting for me? I haven't even done anything," he teased, a playful smile dancing on his lips. "Good girl."
The room seemed to shrink around them as the chemistry between them intensified. The unspoken desire sparked a dance of emotions, creating a story only their eyes could tell. In that moment, words became unnecessary, and the silent conversation continued in the language of stolen glances and lingering touches.

I shouldn’t be afraid to post but I have been. It’s been a while, hasn’t it. My soft voice in the void is here temporarily until I get scared again. So tempestuous you are,These waves you spawn will always exist. But lo, be not upset. They’re apart of you and make you the great ocean.

"But that's fiction!"
Why do people act as though fiction is something that's not real? What even is real? Things you can touch? See? Feel?
Ah, but you do feel it all don't you? When you read those books, you feel, you see worlds in your mind's eye, as for touch— sometimes touch isn't a tangible thing, sometimes it's a gentle, barely there brush against your soul.
The people given breath by parchment and blood by ink are as real as everyone else.
There are these sets of speculations given power by the sheer belief that people have in them. Like... I dunno the use of black or blue pen as compared to other colors?
And there are many people who believe that Hogwarts exists (It's sep 1st and I'm waiting for my letter) and it does! So does Narnia, and Ketterdam, and the one where your dreams are woven by the Dream of the endless.
One should always be, "The hoper of far-flung hopes and the dreamer of impossible dreams."
PS : When madness chases you, you don't run away, you sit down and have tea.

it does break my heart sometimes that I've never felt at home and will never feel at home because I don't feel safe anywhere and have to take solace in fictional worlds, and I cry myself to sleep some nights that I'll never be able to live in them. But then I think about how many places live in my mind under the label HOME, and how wonderful it is that I can close my eyes and slip into them whenever I feel scared. And I take that little bit of safety with me wherever I go.

You know, I just thought about one thing we haven't considered. I know there's talk around Snape actually not being in love with Lily but more the idea of Lily. Especially after her death. Doing all the incredible things that he's done more for his version of Lily and I think in the "real world" that is quite likely. From my experience, in our world here this is quite likely, I've seen it in myself and others. But I just thought back to the feeling I had and have when I'm watching Snape die in the movie or reading about it in the book. In the movie we have Lily's theme playing in the background, which brings me to tears so much.
But when I think back to that feeling and I don't know if you have that too, I feel like there's no need to question it. It feels very honest. So maybe we should for a moment put aside our adult glasses, that have seen and experienced so much "real world" human turmoil and disillusionment. If you manage to follow me here, maybe you remember how it was back when you were just immersed in the books and their world, back when you read it for the first time. And if you can remember how you saw into the world of Harry Potter back then, maybe you also remember its unique sense of magic and how it felt different to what we often experience here. Imagine in this world it is so that music can be heard out of nowhere, it can be a world where we would really hear this music playing at his death because it just appears.
And so when I'm looking at it this way and seeing Snape dying for Lily's last wish, I actually see him dying for her because in the magical world, our concepts of things are truly as pure and not tainted by the experiences we made in our physical lives here. It is not tainted, Lily was really what he considered worth dying for. The love he had for her and the purity of the mother.
Maybe I can explain it better when I understand it better myself. But I do think we should consider that in the magical world, where this all takes place, the goodness and the beauty and the love are truly as pure and do not taint. So Lily really was as beautiful and loving and kind as he thought.

Heya!! This is my post about realizing that a vast majority of tumblr users anymore are primarily on mobile and have literally no way to find my worldbuilding blog through my main. So!! This is your way of finding it! If you like DRAGONS and you like them being angry at each other, you might want to check out Dynasty! It’s my personal worldbuilding passion project I’ve been working on for years and years and years, and I’ve finally decided to update its tumblr and start posting about it online! You can find the newest post, featuring basic bios for all 23 sentient races, here! I’m going to be doing my best to make regular posts, at the very least scattered fun facts whenever I get the opportunity. When I make bigger ones, I’ll mention it here, on my main. Maybe I’ll reblog the little ones too :} Point is, this project means a whole lot to me and I’m really happy to finally be showing it to the world even if in tiny bits and pieces. I hope you can enjoy some of my silly little lizards too <3

I wonder if anyone in my life will ever understand the pain I am in every day, to be living this life, constantly running between worlds through books or screens and trying to find adventure and love in fictional lands and people. To be cursed to live without those whose touch I crave, to never feel their eyes meet my own and know in that moment they feel as I do, they feel the connection I felt to them from the very first moment I read and watched them? It pains me to know that no matter how I attempt to live this life, the people I love and care for will never be understanding, not truly, they will say I’m trying to live in a fantasy. And I how do I tell them that I would give my very soul for just a moment of that? To live in that fantasy, and that it would be a sacrifice i would happily make?
In a weird mood folks 🤷🏻‍♀️ sorry for the rant, here’s what inspired this ramble 💔👇

I got:
You belong on The River Bank from Wind in the Willows
The world can be a hectic place, but when worst comes to worst, there’s nowhere better to be than in the calm expanse of nature: in a quiet forest, perhaps, or next to the gentle babble of a brook. You know this better than anyone, which is why you’d feel most at home on the famous River Bank of Kenneth Grahame’s iconic The Wind in the Willows. You enjoy your alone time, and connecting to nature brings you peace – if only you could spend every afternoon boating alone like Mole and Ratty.

Story Prompt 15
In the quiet town of Veridia, where the streets whispered tales of secrets, lived two individuals bound by a web of unspoken rivalry. For years, one had shouldered the weight of maturity and understanding, always playing the role of the bigger person. The other, however, had grown weary of this tiresome dance and contemplated a shift in the delicate balance.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows on the cobblestone streets, a decision lingered in the air like an impending storm. The weary soul, tired of playing the part of the wiser one, mulled over a daring idea. The time had come to be the bigger problem.
The first whispers of change rustled through the leaves of the old oak tree, standing sentinel in the heart of the town square. The decision, like a quiet rebellion, brewed in the soul of the individual who had grown tired of being the perennial peacemaker.
Small acts of defiance began to punctuate the routine of Veridia. A prank here, a subtle sabotage there—carefully calculated moves that disrupted the established harmony. The town, unknowingly caught in the crossfire, started to feel the tremors of discord.
Yet, as chaos unfolded, a strange transformation took place. The burdened soul, once confined by the expectations of maturity, found a peculiar liberation in chaos. The weight of responsibility lifted, and a sense of empowerment surged through every rebellious act.
The town's equilibrium teetered on the edge, caught in a delicate dance between order and anarchy. The bigger person had become the bigger problem, and the repercussions were felt far and wide. Veridia, once a haven of tranquility, now grappled with the unforeseen consequences of a soul's rebellion against the constraints of virtue.
