Let's spread some love 😘. What are some of your top five favourite cs fics?

Okay Anon, so I genuinely haven't been ignoring your question, and I truly do LOVE to sing the praises of our many, MANY talented CS and OuaT fic writers, but it is so hard to have an answer of only 5!!! I would honestly say it is pretty much impossible!!! (Krystal @kmomof4 did force me to give her a Top 5 list this summer, but I only did it because she insisted it was necessary ;p and I'm still not sure it would always be the same five, depending on mood and what I'm JONESING for - ha ha, that pun was unintentional! - at the moment!)

In all seriousness though, even at that, I had to make up multiple brackets, like "normal" people do for the NCAA Sweet 16, to try to narrow down my choices. For real! I had several different sheets just to try to narrow it down somewhat: One Shots, Two or Three Shots, Short MCs, Long (Epic) MCs, Enchanted Forest fics, Modern AU Fics, Missing Moment/Canon Compliant Fics, Canon Divergent Fics, Whump and Hurt Comfort fics, you get the idea....It went on and on!

Still, in the effort to at least attempt to answer your question, and highlight some great stories and authors, as @booksteaandtoomuchtv did a few days ago, here's a sampling from my shorter story favorites (in no particular order, and certainly not complete or extensive)

Awww! I love this one!

Anything Taylor Swift off of Fearless reminds me of being little and listening to those on the radio! Especially Love Story and You Belong With Me

The Goonies again makes me think of being a kid and literally watching it over and over and over again.

The Tarzan movie and sound track takes me back to being a kid and listening to the soundtrack in the car and watching the movie with my brother.

Sunflower by Post Malone always always always takes me back to dropping my friends off back home after school.

The Hunger Games movies are also very nostalgic and special to me. I love them with my whole heart!

3. My Tennessee water tumbler I bought at the local Cracker Barrel. My water intake is way up. 4. Everyday, all the time, Val Kilmer, but––very specifically his memoir, I'm Your Huckleberry. I'm feeling lost and confused now that I've finished it and must re-read. 5. My Casio G-Shock GA-100A watch in white. I can't live without this thing I don't think. 6. I just ordered a hand-tooled leather portfolio from a leathercarver friend of mine and I absolutely need this and cannot wait for it to arrive. 7. Black Rifle Coffee Company Gunship brew. It's a must have. 8. Hiking. I absolutely need my daily hike otherwise I'm a mess. 9. Real Genius. This just is perpetually on a loop in my house because I am, in fact, obsessive compulsive and lonely. 10. Carmex Cupcake Batter Lip Balm. Enough said.

louise glück was an tremendous poet in her own life and also taught, advised, and nurtured uncountable other poets. her picking richard siken’s crush for the yale younger poets prize is a well known fact, but she selected a number of other poets for publication during her tenure as the contest judge that i think are worth knowing.
