Thanks for answer can you give some tips and what basic deck i need to buy for practice and some tips
💫 thanks in advance
No problem ❤️
So I always suggest the classic raider waite tarot deck especially for beginners. I also like the modern witch tarot deck, ethereal visions tarot deck and tarot of the divine deck because they’re beginner friendly and have incredible artwork that makes intuitive reading easy. White numen deck, luna sol deck, golden art nouveau deck, everyday tarot deck and I think the disney deck are also great for beginners and intermediate learners. It also depends on which decks and artworks draw you in. So you might want to research shops and different decks and see which ones call out to you.
Ny other suggestions are to get oracle decks. Specifically an astrological one and another one of your own choosing. Just so you can get more information on a subject of your choosing.
So a basic kit would consist of 3 decks: a tarot deck, an astrological oracle deck and an oracle deck that draws you in/your preference.

✧ The Everyday Tarot Kit
Tumblr media
Author/Artist: Brigit Esselmont ✧ Eleanor Grosch
Editor: Running Press
ISBN: 978-0-7624-9279-4
Link: https://www.everydaytarot.com/#deck
Brigit Esselmont is the founder of the widely known Biddy Tarot, a website that offers Tarot courses. The official website states:
“The Everyday Tarot Kit offers a fresh approach to Tarot, with a modern, beautifully illustrated deck, a helpful guide to the cards, and a beautiful keepsake box.
Everyday Tarot brings a new perspective to the cards, giving modern soul-seekers the tools they need to access their inner wisdom and create an inspired life. This charming package, featuring stunning cards and a magnetic closure, will appeal to Tarot veterans and novices alike!”
I have received this deck from my boyfriend who randomly purchased it seeing that it’s dominant colour is purple (my favourite colour!). So when I went in and opened the kit, I had no special expectations. But now that I know its origin, this shines a new light on the deck.
✧ The Box
What we have here is a tiny, very travel friendly deck. You can carry it anywhere and even take it with you on longer trips as it hardly takes up any space. It’s strong and durable, uses a magnetic clip, the cards are in a clear plastic pocket (with a spongy bottom) and it comes with a small guidebook.
Tumblr media
It is, like the cards and booklet, using purple, gold and white coulours only. The front shows the 4 suites symbols, on one side displays The Empress and the IX of Pentacle is printed on the other.
Tumblr media
You can find the same statement as cited in the intro on the back of the box. Three additional cards are sampled there (Queen of Wands, Ace of Cups and The High Priestess).
Tumblr media
The inside of the box is golden and contains a clear plastic compartment for the deck, a little cardboard band that allows you to slip the booklet’s back cover in, thusly securing it and you can see the hand of The Hermit, holding a lantern, on the side of the clear compartment.
✧ The Cards
The cards are all illustrated in a minimalistic, modern style with only 3 colours: purple, white and gold. They are quite faithful to the RWS Tarot pictural tradition. There is more variety in the characters though as some characters who are traditionally male became female. Variety is always nice. The illustrations are simple yet rich enough to allow an intuitive reading, which can be quite hard to achieve in so few colours. Yet this deck achieve quite that!
Tumblr media
The card stock is fairly small but very durable. I litterally never fear shuffling them or dropping them. The back of the cards is fully purple and shows the 4 suites logo from the front of the box printed upright and reversed. The edge is beige/golden.
Tumblr media
There are 2 additional cards:one is suggesting 2 types of spreads with several variants and the other one offers “7 tips to an accurate and insightful Tarot reading”.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
✧ The Little White Book
The deck comes with a small but fairly thick guidebook: 88 pages, 1 page per card, with both an upright and reverse meaning. It goes straight to the point and doesn’t offer any pictures. The interpretations are written in a fairly intuitive way which makes it really easy to use to decipher your readings.
Tumblr media
✧ The Tryptich
Tumblr media
Strength shows a woman holding a Lion with care and respect. She has a large flower necklace and a lemniscate holds her hair in a bun. This illustration is fairly consistent with the RWS picture.
Tumblr media
The Tower is also quite reminiscent on the RWS illustration for this card.
Tumblr media
And so is The Star. I really don’t have much to say about the cards in the deck, they’re really on point.
✧ Conclusion
Pro
Small, very travel friendly
Good quality
Minimalistic illustrations that still keep a lot of the Tarot’s symbolism, making them easy to read
Booklet is straight to the point and covers all you need to know
There are more female characters on the cards
Excellent for beginners!
Con
None
✧ Rating
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
Thank you for reading and see you later, little MonStars!

Ace of Tools. Art by Nisse Lovendahl, from The Herbal and Spiced Culinary Tarot.
You may have your everyday kitchen instruments readily available for the taking, but professional chefs often carry around their knife kits in case the occasion calls for a different approach. There is something exciting about the potential that lies in this bag, for it means flexing a variety of potentially unused skill sets rather than relying on your typical tricks of the trade. It takes a certain level of mental clarity to realize the need to reach for something new, whether it be in approach or in knowledge.
The Ace of Tools is a reminder of this impending exciting energy. You are on the verge of a breakthrough, of a new perspective, or of a new intellectual pursuit. Having the intellectual and emotional power to embark on this quest is all that you need to succeed.
Food: The Ace of Tools urges you to expand in ways that seemed impossible before. This may be an excellent time to decide how you want to grow in the kitchen and beyond. Perhaps you want to undertake some long-term investment in your education, like practicing butchery or learning more about a specific diet or type of cuisine. Your journey doesn’t have to be expensive—it can be self- taught. However, it is important that this endeavor excites you in order for you to succeed.
Herb: Water hyssop is used to eliminate brain fog and achieve mental clarity. Its flowers and leaves are edible both raw and cooked. Add some into your diet in order to maintain your current mental fortitude.
Reversed: Just because you feel the start of an idea doesn’t mean you immediately need to share it with others. When you see the Ace of Tools reversed, take some time to meditate and stew on your schemes before you unleash them onto the world.

Habit
George remembered when he first found his set of tarot cards, outside of the studio, they were new and hadn't been taken out of the box, yet.
Until, on a quick break from recording, George took the cards out of the box and when though every card. His knowledge on the cards were limited, so George spent most of his days, doing his own readings, sometimes they were accurate, sometimes they were not.
George would do his own full readings, or he would just flip a card, since he didn't always have the time. When George did get more confident with the cards, he offered to do a reading for John, but it didn't go well, since John kept saying that he didn't believe in it and kept mocking George... this was enough to put George off from reading for other people.
It was 1971 and George was now a solo artist, whose ideas were blossoming and finally a new found freedom to be truly himself.
The other thing George enjoyed about being a solo artist was that he and Ringo are working together more then what they ever did in a band.
George loved nothing more then putting aside any plans he had for Ringo and it seemed Ringo felt the same.
Though they didn't see each other everyday like they once did, they still saw each other monthly. And each time, they met up, when gardening or did some recording in the studio... George would do a reading.
In the past, George would consider his readings to be a little selfish, often doing readings about whether Ringo and Maureen were going to divorce ? When will Ringo finally be his ? George didn't want to live by his ego. He didn't want to force things, or be greedy and if things are meant to be, then they will simply come to George.
His readings were now about pregnancy and family, am I pregnant ? George would ask the cards, after he was intimate.
George was satisfied in the professional aspect of his life, but emotionally he felt there was something missing. His dream just to have a family with Ringo, if that were to come true then his life would be complete.
George had set up, a room at Frair Park to do, his readings, the table had purple rose quartz crystals on it. George lit a incense stick, allowing the scent to cover the room. George sat down, holding the deck in his hands, he wanted to do a quick yes or no tarot. Inhaling, deeply, George thought of the last time, he and Ringo were intimate. Lips turning into a smile, as George remembered that they were in the studio, Ringo was sitting at his drum kit, pants to the side. And George sank down the drummers cock, when it was all the way in, Ringo kissed the back of George's neck. His big hands, caress George's body, chest, tummy and hips. Ringo ran his fingers though, George's long hair, all the touches and kisses were sending tingles though George's body. No man could ever make George feel like that, only Ringo could. George moaned as he felt Ringo's cock, move within him, pressing against his belly, it was deep, it was sensual and it was everything George ever wanted. Exhaling and opening his eyes, "okay" George placed a hand on his belly, he picked the deck up and asked his question, "am I pregnant ?" George shuffle the deck, he flipped the card onto the table and smiled that he got the Ace Of Cups card. This meant that what he desire was going to come to him, naturally and nothing needs to be forced.
George sat back into his chair, feeling flutters in his belly, rubbing his belly, his dream was going to come true.

Hi, I’ve donated €8 with Transaction ID: 20688735203173274. I only hope I could donate more. I hope more blessings come to you, thank you for sharing with us your talents and time. -Kit
Tumblr media
Hello Kit and thank you for your support
We start at the oracle of animals: It's the whale who wants to talk to you: I am the whale, I invite you to come back to the meaning of your existence, to go beyond the ego, the personality and all the little behavioral strategies of everyday life to return to your source and your essence. I invite you to slow down, to isolate yourself and to meditate. I invite you to intropection and your rebirth.
Akashic Tarots: Something is going to happen from fall 2021 until spring 2022. There is a masculine energy around you. I have a hard time knowing if it's a couple or a friendship. It's nobody comes to you, it's a masculine energy with strong ideas, this meeting or this collaboration will give birth to something fertile for your life.
We will continue with the oracles of Greek mythology: We start with Persephone, there is a strong transformation, something comes out of the shadows, we are in the heart of the winter now at the end of November / December, there is a strong protection on you and on this meeting or collaboration, we advance in the night, we are guided by small subtle signs. The day appears and a new path appears the clouds dissipate to give way to the sun, we are still talking about this mutation with the snake
With the golden tarots: You are the Queen of Cups, after having gathered your ideas and emotions, you have discussed or written to a person, the situation is finally unblocked for you after a moment of confusion of loneliness and argument, our situation becomes the hanged inverted, we found the key to get out there, things are starting to move slowly but surely, it was quite intense with this man or masculine energy (king of sticks) but there are still doubts and emotional or sentimental questions but we give ourselves a second chance with the sun we move slowly towards calmer and more stable waters. Looks like you have become aware of something that has been hidden nothing serious !!! because you come back in the form of the popess and the map of the world I read here as being vulnerable, you become aware of the feelings or the emotions of the other in front of you !!
It speaks to you or not because I feel a little confused

Survey #402
“there’s a space kept in hell with your name on the seat  /  with a spike in the chair just to make it complete”
Have you ever had any really infected injuries? Not an injury, per se, but I've had at least one ear piercing get infected during the healing process. Shit sucks ass. Are you popular on any websites? No. What was the last song you listened to? "Savior" by SWARM. Are you considered popular at school? I wasn't. If you could host your own talk show, would you do it? No. I've got nothing interesting to talk about. If you were starving would you eat food out of a garbage can? I honestly don't know if I could with how squeamish I am about sharing food, even with family. And we're talking about sharing food that's been in the TRASH. Do you know anyone who has changed their first name? I do. Which one of your senses would you be the most devastated to lose? I THINK hearing. I hate silence, so that would just be... haunting. I want to be able to hear people's voices and other sounds. Do you know anyone who has been on life support, and survived? I have no idea. Do your parents have a strong relationship together? God no. They're divorced for a reason. Have you ever read any of Charles Darwin’s works? No. If there was such a thing as a mental health first aid kit, what would you want to be in it? Some ice cream and a Mountain Dew bc I'm an emotional eater, my "graduation" pebble from my partial hospitalization program to remember how far I've come, some cold water to run over my face (or drink), my iPod for music and phone to watch YouTube, a nice, big blanket to turn into a burrito in... that kind of stuff. If you’re in a relationship, are you happy? And if you’re single, are you looking for someone? I'm not actively searching for anyone, no. What is something that people make fun of you for? Always being on the computer. It makes me EXTREMELY self-conscious, and I really wish people would keep their mouths shut about it. Which supermarket do you like to shop at? Wal-Mart. Have you ever been told that your boyfriend/girlfriend wasn’t good enough for you? In the past. Do you think it’s okay to flirt with someone that’s already taken, as long as it goes no further? Fuck no. Do you struggle to say ‘no’ to things you don’t want to do? YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP. Someone attractive is staring at you. What do you do? Probably just kinda smile and blush and look down/away. Are you friends with someone a lot of people dislike? *shrug* Favorite photo search engine? Tumblr for gifs, Google or Pinterest for still images, depending on what I'm looking for. Do you doggie paddle or actually swim in a pool? I'll do both, I think? It's been too long since I've swum. Ever made a snow angel? Ye-ep. Would you ever take up smoking? No. I like having operational lungs. Do you laugh at racial jokes? No. Hate to break it to ya, but they're not funny. Book series you enjoyed reading recently? I've been loving Wings of Fire by Tui T. Sutherland, even if I'm reading very slowly. My psychiatrist has given me a new way to approach my hobbies I have difficulty engaging in, so I'm hoping if I keep it up, my rate of reading will speed up! Are there any keys on your keyboard that have letters fading away? Ahaha, yeah... "a," "s," and "d." A true gamer. How "w" is still alive, I couldn't tell ya. Favorite non-chocolate candy? Sour Punch Straws, probably. The red ones, in specific. Last person you texted? My mom. What did you learn from your first job? That I can't work with people. Favorite website from your childhood? I was a Webkinz A D D I C T. Least favorite flavor of food or drink? Cranberry came to mind very quickly. Least favorite pattern? uhhhhhhh Favorite potato food? Either French fries or Lays wavy potato chips. PC or console gaming? I grew up as a console gamer, so I'm kinda biased. Writing or drawing? Don't make me choose!! I get more satisfaction out of drawing something I'm proud of, but I do way more writing. Who would you put before everyone else? My mom, probably. Lamps, overhead lights, fairy lights, or sunlight? Fairy lights are so cute. How many phone numbers do you have memorized? I shit you not, none. What is your third favourite colour? Hm. Maybe rose gold, or lilac. Can you remember your first phone? If so, what kind was it? I'm really not sure, but I WANT to say it was one of those slide-y, compact Blueberry ones? Who is your favourite character from Alice in Wonderland? The Cheshire Cat has always been very alluring to me. What is the last thing you looked up online? The definition to a word just to ensure I was using it correctly. Have you ever had your fortune read? No. I ain't wasting time or money on that shit. Can you read tarot cards? If you couldn't guess from above, I have zero faith in this kinda stuff, so I don't care to learn. Do you prefer lemons or limes? Lemons. I like lime flavoring in some stuff, though. Are your expecting anything in the mail? No. What would you like to see out of your window everyday instead of what you see now? The forest. Do you own a camera? I do, a Canon EOS Rebel T6. Have you ever written a special note in a book? Yes. Early into our relationship, Jason lent me a book to read, and I wrote a lil love letter in it for him. Do you have any artistic talents? I mean I like to think I'm a good writer and a decent artist. Do you remember the last movie you saw while on a date? Yeah, IT with Girt. It was fun because he's a horror pansy, haha. He did fine, though. What would you do if you found out you were pregnant? Freak the fuck out because I haven't had sex in many years, so that thing's coming the fuck out 'cuz it obviously ain't natural. Favorite thing to get at McDonalds? Look man, I'm shameless, I love me a Quarter Pounder w/ cheese. Plus some fries. :x Do you know anyone named Alex? I know multiple people named Alex, actually. Whose house did you last sleep over at? Sara's. In other words, it's been a loooong time.Would you ever record yourself having sex? God no. Like zero judgment to the people that do, but I get NOTHING out of watching others "do it." I've never actually tried watching porn, but I couldn't have less interest. I know I'd hate it, and a lot. Did the vacuum scare you as a child? I don't think it did, anyway. Have you or would you ever use a dating app? One of my most embarrassing secrets is that I was briefly on Christian Mingle. It makes me want to cringe into fucking oblivion. Who are you most nervous about introducing potential significant others to? My dad. He's... a character. What was the most important non-academic thing you learned in high school? That time fucking flies, so cherish every millisecond. Do you and your friends ever talk about your sex lives? Not really. Even when I was sexually active, I was private about that stuff. I don't care if others talk to me about theirs, but odds are I'm not saying much about myself. What were the best and worst interviews you’ve ever had? What made them so good/bad? I've never had a bad interview, but I mean, I've only had I wanna say four in my whole life. None were anything special either, though. Ever put someone else in the hospital? No. Have you ever sold anything on eBay? If so, what? No. What is the best surprise you have ever had? Finding a container of puppy chow underneath the Christmas tree one year. It was my parents' way of telling me we were getting a dog (which I had been nagging them about FOREVER), and next came Teddy. <3 I miss my boy. Is someone in love with you? I wouldn't know. Ever kiss someone on the first date? No. Ever sleep with someone on the first date? That's a hard no. Do you wear cologne/perfume/aftershave regularly? No. Do you snore? No, actually. Pretty astonishing for someone with such severe sleep apnea. When is the last time someone else slept in your bed? When Sara last visited. How often do you dust? Not... nearly enough as I'm supposed to. Mom gets on me about it all the time. What is the most ‘extreme’ activity you have ever done? Ha, nothing wild, I assure you. I guess riding a four-wheeler through the woods once with our former neighbors, who were good friends of ours.. Have you ever rode on a mobility scooter/wheelchair just for fun? Um, no? That's a jackass thing to do. Some people actually need those. Who’s the most controlling person you know? OH MY FUCKING GOD. OUR FAMILY FRIEND TOBEY. EASILY. She seizes control of EVERY situation, even if she has no right to be involved in it. Does anyone keep a photo of you in their purse/wallet, and if so, who? Not to my knowledge. Do you own a microphone? No. Do you enjoy trailers at the cinema? I do! I like arriving in time to see them. Have you ever been burgled? No, thankfully. Have you ever entered anything into Urban Dictionary? If so, what? No. What’s the last live performance you watched on TV? No idea. Have you ever been embarrassed to buy something from a shop? Not to my recollection. It helps that I'm not the one buying things, like ever. What’s the name of one of your friends’ dogs? Buster! :') He's a precious lil bean. Name a pet you definitely wouldn’t want. A GIANT CENTIPEDE. That's one pet in the invert community that I have ZERO interest in EVER owning. Those bitches are scary. Have you ever needed to wear a tie? If so, when/why? Nope.

Also here’s kind of a rundown on how you can tell the difference between a legitimate and a pirated Britt’s Third Eye deck. The above is from the store on MakePlayingCards. It’s 300gsm smooth UV coated cardstock, which has a slippery plastic finish pretty similar to any deck you would get from the likes of Llewellyn or Lo Scarabeo. It’s about 1/5″ thicker than standard retail decks, as standard retail non-kit decks are normally 270gsm, and about 1/5″ thinner than a premium 330gsm deck. Comparisons to the “As Above So Below” retail deck and Ostara tarot for reference.
The tuck box is pretty standard, the same white glossy coated 300gsm art board that you can get with any other deck on their site, but the logo of the deck on the front and a blurb on the back about the deck. Pirated decks are usually yellow tuck boxes, usually uncoated cardstock. Decks are also uncoated cardstock. Some listings do show white tuck boxes.
Another difference is the printing on pirated decks leans very yellow, thus the yellow box. The card backs are more green and the colors on all the cards are more yellow/orange overall. The original deck and printing has vibrant blue hues. Below is a picture of a pirated listing.
Tumblr media
Since it’s likely printed by different companies, the quality will probably vary. Every single time I’ve seen the deck out in the wild, it’s been right next to pirated copies of Wild Unknown, Everyday Witch, Starseed Oracle, and Modern Witch decks, so that’s a great way to tell, too.

Witchcraft comes in all shapes and sizes, and so do us witches. We can’t all always afford the same items, time, energy, spaces to practice larger bouts of magic, and that can leave us feeling a little lost or sad that we haven’t practiced or performed anything.
But, don’t fear, little birds, because I have a whole list of different types of tiny magic practices and there’s definitely something here for everyone! Whether you don’t have many spoons or can’t scrape much cash together, there’s every day magic for you.
Kitchen Craft:
Sprinkle some dried herbs into your smoothies, pasta sauces, or dips to invoke their correspondences and intents
Stir clockwise to manifest intentions or anticlockwise to banish/let go of thoughts
Drink different herbal teas for different intents, like ginger tea for clarity and grounding
Coloured utensils! Keep different coloured pots, cups, or spoons to use in baking. Pink cups for love drinks, green spoons for money magic, and so on
Keep store bought dried herbs for spells if you struggle with/cannot have real plants
Draw sigils with the sauces you apply to your food
Make your own breads and sauces and turn the recipes into different spells
Home Craft:
Sprinkle a herb onto the floor and leave to sit for a few minutes before you vacuum to bless your home with that intent
Let a black candle burn by the front door to cleanse off negative energies which may have come through it
Light basil incense around the house for new beginnings and cleansing
Keep a money jar, and each time you add to it, make a wish for future prosperity. When you break it, spend the money you need to or give it away to the less fortune/charities to spread the fortune it brought you
Make essential oil sprays to spruce up a room with your intent easily, but be sure to do your research (here’s two to start you off)
Play calming playlists to re-energise your home, I personally like to use forest sounds
Hang herb bundles on doors to invite their intents in, like a bundle of basil and lavender for prosperous and positive new beginnings
Set out diffusers and match the number of sticks to an angel number you wish to invoke, such as four for support and family
Bathroom Craft:
Soaps and shampoos with scents/ingredients/colours matching what you wish to invoke
Add petals or herbs to your bath to bless yourself in their intents
Sing chants, songs and poems in the shower about how you want your day to go
Carve sigils and runes into your bars of soaps
Draw sigils into the smoked up glass and mirrors
Keep a white flannel for cleaning the bathroom, and could even put herbs or magic water onto whilst doing so
Sleep Craft:
You can put any manner of things under your pillow to invoke their intents, from sigils to leaves to crystals to money
Read a story before bed similar to what you want to manifest into your own life, such as a love story or a poem about being courageous
Sleep with a playlist with calms you to ease yourself into rest when you’re struggling
Say goodnight to your guides or ancestors!
If possible and healthy, wake up to an alarm at an angel number to ‘fit’ your day to that energy, for instance, if you have to get up at 6am, try 5:55 instead
Travel Craft:
Pack yourself a mini witch kit if you don’t have access to your things. You can include mini herb hard, micro crystals, a small pen and paper, string, and a small birthday candle, for instance
Talk to your guides and beings in this time in your mind to wish them well and ask them for advice or to accompany you if you wish
Take a moment to listen to the natural bustling world around you between having your headphones on
Say any prayers you wish to give in your mind at this time
Trace sigils on the windows or surfaces around you
Write sigils into your shoes for safe travel and unsore feet
Wear crystal pendants associated with safe travel
You can learn on the go! Whether it’s books, blogs, or podcasts, this would be a good time to dedicate to learning new craft
Work Craft:
A desk plant is still a plant, and you can use it as a spell of growth in your career
Bring lunch with you that you’ve magically prepared at home (kitchen magic above!)
If you’re someone who doodles as they work, but you don’t want to be told off or caught, keep an empty pen for drawing out invisible sigils (but make sure it’s really empty)
Keep spell sachets for success at the bottom of your work bag
Garden/Nature Craft:
Collecting ethically and sustainably can take a lot of research, so when you’re unsure, simply use the ‘discards’ rule. Take only what you see is discarded by nature, such as broken off stems or fallen wilted flower heads, sticks from the ground, or leaves also. Be sure you know if they’re safe to use, touch, or eat though
In your own garden, plant all year round and native plants if you don’t have much time for upkeep
Use food waste as compost for your plants! This is an easy way to recycle otherwise landfilled food waste whilst also giving your plants a nutritional meal for them. Take a read here about composting.
Keep window boxes for your plants if space is an issue, or even a vertical plant holder
Strolling/being in nature, parks, and gardens is a brilliantly way to recharge you and your tools
Art Craft:
Paint your dreams and what you wish to manifest
Sing songs about your desires and wishes
Work with colours reflecting the intentions you wish to invoke
Before using a canvas, lightly wash it down in magic water with any herbs or spices which reflect your intent for the piece you’re making
Weave your crystals into pendulums and jewellery to bond with them
Sew sigils into the inside of your clothing or bags
Sew a dried herb pouch into the inside of a bag or coat to bless it with these things (but be sure to do so properly and not let it get wet to avoid mould)
Write letters and poems to the universe thanking it or asking for blessings
Divination Craft:
A pendulum can be made out of anything and string. Whilst crystals and pure metals and such are nice, don’t overlook a metal key or a beach stone
You can make your own deck, tarot or oracle, and it can be as detailed or not detailed as you like
Homemade runes can be made in an oven! Hunt around for people’s various different methods of home cast runes
Your own body can be a pendulum if you concentrate on the question and allow your sway to take you
If you’re a scryer, you don’t need a crystal ball, a regular mirror can work with your technique, but always do your research on the method nonetheless
Keeping PDFs on meanings is 100% valid, okay, and actually a really wise thing to do! They can help look at your spreads in a way you didn’t initially see
You can pull a card a day without having a set question
Sunlight and moonlight can charge your decks
Selenite is known to be a good charger for any and all tools

✧ How to Deal: Tarot for Everyday Life - Deck and book kit
Tumblr media
Author/Artist: Sami Main ✧ Marisa de la Pena
Editor: Harper Collins
ISBN: 9780062662170
Link: https://www.urbanoutfitters.com/shop/how-to-deal-tarot-for-everyday-life-by-sami-main-book-tarot-card-set ✧ https://www.harpercollins.co.uk/9780062662170/how-to-deal-tarot-for-everyday-life/ ✧  https://circotarot.com
What drew me to this deck was the illustrations you can se on the box. There is something feral in that art style that resonated with me, especially because I was going through my second read of “Women Who Run With The Wolves”. It looks like the full kit (Tarot deck + guidebook) is exclusive to Urban Outfitters, while you can find the guidebook by itself on the publisher’s website. The deck also has its very own website. Now let’s have a look at this beauty!
✧ The Box
Tumblr media
The kit comes in an A5 black and sturdy box with a holographic title on its front and left side, a bunch of different Tarot Card samples (3 on the front and 15 on the back) and a cute little heart shaped lock with a key on the right side. There is a magnet under that side of the box which allows to close it easily. There is also a message there “You’re about to become an expert at channeling the entire Cosmos”
The aesthetic of the guidebook is also present on the box through the little pastel icons you find all over (ice cream, laptop, envelope, flash light, travel mug, etc).
The back features the following intro:
“Can’t figure out what you should do about that messy friend situation? Wanna know how your crush feels about you? Need some guidance on dealing with your family? The cards are here to give you the answers you’ve been looking for. This box set brings together Sami Main’s fun, comprehensive Tarot guidebook and Marisa de la Pena’s gorgeously illustrated deck in one deluxe edition that will give you everything you need to make Tarot work for YOU.”
Tumblr media
The inside of the box is black as well and features more of the pastel elements from the guidebook and reiterates “The cares are here to give you the answers you have been looking for!”
There’s also a little fabric band to allow you to take the deck out easily. Once you take it out, you find out the deck is also in a box. Again, it is sturdy and black the front features 3 eyes and the back the symbols of the 4 Minor Arcana suites, all in those cute pastel tones. Inside this box, two more messages await you: “Fate is fluid. It’s up to you to take matters into your own hands.” and “Embrace your intuition”. Another fabric band allows you to take the cards out with ease.
Tumblr media
✧ The Cards
The deck this little kit comes with is the Circo Tarot by Marisa de la Pena, a gorgeous and colourful Kickstarter deck. Each card has been painted by the artist, I believe with mixed media (I can for sure see watercolour paint but I think I can also recognise gouache). Some cards do indeed refer to the theme of the circus, while others have a more latino influence (no offence meant here, I am simply not versed enough in those particular cultures to be able to precisely identify them). Most of them are easy to read and absolutely all of them are stunningly beautiful.
Tumblr media
The cards are of a regular size but slightly thiner than your usual RWS cards. The back is a gradient of pastel tones and features 3 black eyes.
Tumblr media
Little disclaimer, the artist is no longer making or selling divination tools. Her website is therefore a bit bare at the moment and the Instagram link is dead. If you wish to follow her work you can find her new Instagram account here.

✧ The Little White Book
Tumblr media
This guidebook is far from being “little” :D It’s 232 pages of information about each card (with illustrations for all the Arcana), of Tarot exercises for practice and it features a total of 8 different spreads!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s perfect for beginners as it not only provides you with the information but also engages you with exercises! Those exercises are also beneficial to more seasoned readers as they may shed some light on underlying aspects of the cards that may still be left undiscovered.
Tumblr media
✧ The Tryptic
Tumblr media
Strength has defeated the lion. In this illustration, there is no place for the kindness the character usually shows the beast, there is no mercy. I personally don’t really like when this card is illustrated to represent a total victory over our wilder instincts instead of incorporating them through understanding and respect. The character looks peaceful, as if this battle cost her no sweat. In fact, she has a Venusian allure to her (what with the lipstick, charming look, ear ring, foliage around her neck) that is a bit odd for this card. As if superficiality conquered our wild self. Or maybe has it been superficially defeated? Or is it that this Venusian illustration is meant to represent the social norms and therefore that the civilised has overcome the wild? Either way, this card has lost its balance which I find really makes or breaks Strength.
Tumblr media
The Tower is pretty classic in the sense that we see a house, struck by lightning, catching on fire and being surrounded by smoke. The moon shines weakly in the background and looks like the water is threatening to flood the house but also to perhaps fertilise the dry lands the house was built on, suggesting that after the rain comes the rainbow. This card has significantly darker tones than most of the brighter coloured cards in the deck, but it still fits within it perfectly. The artist clearly masters her colour palette.
Tumblr media
The Star is illustrated as a woman in a flow dress with a wavy pattern (most likely figuring the water The Star usually pours out of 2 vases) and a hat, adorned with 3 stars. Her hair is also wavy. There is a starry background behind her and 5 stars shine much brighter than others. The character looks peaceful and focused, as if in prayer, meditation or contemplation. It is a stark contrast with The Tower and that of course works quite well. The whole card is dominated by the colour blue, cooling the fire and distress we just encountered in The Tower.
✧ Conclusion
Pro
Beautiful deck with gorgeous illustrations.
Very complete guidebook, fully illustrated.
Fantastic set for beginners
Con
The guidebook and deck have very different aesthetics. They don’t really match. They are both great separately but together they clash a bit.
The card stock is quite thin.
Some cards are prettier than they are symbolical.

hey! do you have any advice for starting witchcraft in a small space? im super interested in witchcraft and would love to start practicing, but i live with a full house of people with little room to do it... plus i cant burn incense upstairs or bake in the kitchen that much... if you have any advice id super appreciate it! happy mabon by the way 🍂
Happy Autumn!
So for some advice for practicing in a small space can be the same advice as for secret witches (witches in the forest). Check out tags for that!
Here are some tips from me!
Use a shoe box or other kind of storage box for your altar if you want one. Keep the supplies inside and use the top as a altar space or witch crafting station. You can decorate the box how you want, and even keep a small cloth, like a handkerchief, inside and use as an altar cloth on top.
Scented candles are great instead of incense. Or even room sprays, oil diffusers, things like that. I like stick and reed oil diffusers from places like Pier 1, and Bed, Bath, and Beyond.
Use a small piece of furniture as a decorative or altar space! I use this clock I got from a yard sale!
Tumblr media
Instead of buying witch books, if you don’t have the space for them, rent them from the library! Then use your own journal/book of shadows/grimoire write the information that you need (with references so you can go back and check that book out again or if you want to post things online).
Create a relaxing retreat where you practice your magic, in a small quiet space. Pick a space like the bathroom, a favorite chair with a side table, on the patio on a yoga mat, in a chair near a bookshelf/reading nook, your desk, on your bed, etc. and cleanse and protect that space from prying eyes. Maybe add some magical charms, figures of deities, wind chimes, candles, statues, pictures or paintings, banners, etc to make that spot your own. They don’t have to be obvious magical knick-knacks either, they can be everyday objects.
Use wall shelves for storage and decorations of magical supplies.
Keep a witchcraft kit on a tool box, makeup box or other sort of tote. Then pull it out when you need to use it and store it away when you are done. Great for secret witches.
Keep some magical apps on your phone, like a tarot or oracle app, moon phases, herbalist apps, things like that. It saves rooms from books and charts and stuff.
Use a portable Bluetooth speaker for mediations or other magical music or podcast. You can use them anywhere and they can be affordable, I got mine from 5below for $5.
Use smaller items, like birthday candles instead of larger candles and tea lights instead of votives. Use smaller jars (found in craft stores), smaller icons (found or made in craft stores), smaller bottles (found in crafts stores), and even smaller tumbled stones instead of large crystals.
Keep a witch kit in a backpack and practice outside, in a backyard or park or nature in general!
Use a calendar app to keep track of important witchy dates like moon cycles or feast days or holidays you celebrate and put a reminder on your phone, instead of using a large physical calendar that takes up space.
Write your notes, journal or grimoire on your phone and backup to your email, instead of having a physical grimoire.
Hope this witch tips help you start your new witchcraft rat journey! Thanks for the ask :)

What made you interested in kitchen witchcraft, how's your practice going and when did you started your practice?💖👀
Long story short with how I got interested was a couple years ago I got out of a bad relationship and also lost a couple close people in my life the same year. One day I was reading about spirituality so I looked up witchcraft and got my tarot deck along with a book on witchcraft. Two years later I have an altar with my tarot cards, oracle cards, a pendulum kit, an I Ching kit, crystals, spell books, and books on other stuff that focus on auras, astrology, etc.
I got into kitchen the most from a book I read called The Green Witch!
My practice is going well! With my shift changing at work it's been a bit of a mess BUT of everything I'm using my crystals everyday and I did a tarot reading for a friend of mine not to long ago!

i don't go by the book but i personally believe that its okay to read tarot everyday. (for myself) my decks are my friends, and my 'counselor', i shuffle them when i want to hear something and doesn't want to talk to gods forsaken humans /s
in all seriousness, find balance so you don't lose ur independence in decision-making by depending way too much on ur decks. anything can be an addiction. u are the master of ur own life, they're ur lovely tools, they're YOURS, don't be a slave to them, they're just one tool in ur entire life tool kit. addiction is disempowering. use ur lovely tarot in the way they'll empower you
i personally use spirituality to cope. and my beautiful decks help me with journaling and grounding myself. blessed be <3
