here is the house | cynonari, haikaveh, canon-compliant | Tighnari & Cyno through the years. | this prose is a delight to read, with lovely emotional nuance. writing the events up to and through canon archon quest, and the road to becoming a family... ongoing!

A Wanderer Witnesses the Heat Death of the Universe | nahida & scaramouche, post-canon | “And the longer your future lasts, the shorter your past will become, until one day it is but a tiny fraction of your life,” said Kusanali, the Lord of Wisdom. | i really think nahida & scaramouche are possibly the most fascinating characters & relationship mhy has come up with yet. a character study that's marked unfinished

if a tree falls in a forest | nahida & scaramouche, bodyswap | “Whoopsies,” Scaramouche says, and her own voice comes out. “That’s all you’ve got? Whoopsies?” | get to know someone by walking a mile in their shoes, literally!! if you only ever read one scaramouche & nahida fic make it this one. the writer sums up their dynamic as "outdoor cat and their favorite human" which is 100% good and true

The Stars, Eternal | dainsleif & venti | Dainsleif comes every year to put flowers by the Windrise tree. Once, Venti sees him. | written pre-Chasm and interlude quests, i think? immortal beings struggling with mortality (of a sort) is evergreen

cloudburst | ayato/thoma, kamisato fam, yakuza AU | Growing up in the sprawling criminal underbelly of Kobe, Ayato has always known exactly what it means to be the heir of the region's oldest and most established yakuza clan: that he is under constant pressure, constant threat, and the precondition of bearing it all alone. | really nails the dynamics i like the most about ayato & thoma together, and the kamisato family as a whole. unfinished, but the currently published chapters are the complete part 1. gorgeous writing
