She Calls Me Back through the Lens of Merthur
There was Heaven in your eyes. I was not baptized
It’s believed by some Christians that in order to get to Heaven, you need to be baptized. So this line means that while Merlin sees something that he desires in Arthur’s eyes it is something he can not have. Arthur is not his to hold.
Everything's alright when She calls me back, she calls me back
This line is after Arthur dies. Merlin believes everything will be ok once Arthur is back.
Lost for a long time. Two parallel lines
With his death Arthur becomes lost to Merlin for centuries. They are two sides of the same coin they are always together but in a way never truly touch similar to how parallel lines never intersect.

Ok this makes me think of the episode where Merlin is the bait for an ambush. This could be a piece of dialogue because I could imagine Merlin proposing the idea, but Arthur wouldn’t like it. Merlin has always been willing to sacrifice things for Arthur what more is getting put in a little danger when he puts himself in danger all the time for Arthur.

Merlin get annoyed because Arthur gets himself into unnecessary trouble that he has to fix whether that’s by being arrogant, which Merlin hates or by being too stuck to his morals and choices, which well Merlin loves he doesn’t have time for it when it puts Arthur at risk,

Merlin chooses to be stuck as an old man after Arthur dies to remind himself not to get attached or start relationships because it only ends badly

Merlin doesn’t desire to die or need to die for the prophecy. But he lives for Arthur which means he’d die for him. He risks his life all the time by fighting adversaries and simply by being magic in Camelot.

Merlin wonders sometimes if Arthur feels the weight of the prophecy the way he does.

Some context for the poets are bisexuals thing that was said last night, which Misha then agreed with.
FIRST, this was done after the introvert/extroverts/bisexuals thing.
Then, he went on and made a comment about there being a lot of poets and bisexuals in the audience.
Which is when the audience member said something about all poets are bisexuals.
And his response was even more interesting than just the fact that he agreed.
“Oh that’s true. Very good point. It’s a self selecting audience.”

Hey jeanette, ich habe staffel 9 gesehen. Und bin maßlos enttäuscht. Nicht nur das fehlen von liz ,sondern auch die statistenrolle die man Ressler hat zukommen lassen. Nur die Folge mit Theodor war sehr schön. Auch infolge 22 die Aussage von Ressler über Keen war sehr nebulös. Klattenhoff hat besseres verdient.
(Translation: Hey Jeanette i watched season 9 And I'm hugely disappointed. Not only the absence of Liz, but also the extra role that Ressler was given. Only the episode with Theodor was very nice. Also as a result of 22 Ressler's testimony about Keen was very nebulous. Klattenhoff deserves better.)
Hey anon, I 100000% agree with you. Season 9 just didn't do it for me. So many things were not right with it.
It didn't bode well that the opening scene of the season revealed that Dembe was now an FBI agent. (And not only an agent, but apparently an inept one who had his FBI badge on him while being undercover.) Ugh.
The entire season was lackluster. There were a few bright spots, as you said, with Ressler and Theo in Between Sleep and Awake. And while Ressler got some good moments early in the season in the immediate aftermath of Liz's death, he was (AS USUAL) completely underused. Then, in the very end scene at Liz's grave where Ressler was speaking of the woman he loved that almost drove him to destroy himself, all he said in memoriam was 'she got to me'. Again -ugh.
The biggest problem I had with the entire season was that it was written to make Red smell like roses and be the innocent victim, instead of owning the fact he was the reason Liz died. His actions in 822 (and indeed, the entire show, really) caused her death, but no... instead we got a complete retcon and, 'hey, let's make Marvin the bad guy, that will be a surprise, right?' from the writers. Ridiculous.
Oh, that and 'let's make bungling Aram leader of the task force instead of the senior agent, Ressler' because Amir is leaving and we should completely man-up his character before he does. Which may be unkind, but that's how it felt to me. Ugh. How many ughs is that?
So I've gone from loving this show, living and breathing it and writing tons of fanfics, making videos, running Ressler and Keenler online events, and going to NY twice because of the show to 'I'm not even sure why I'm still watching.'
But there is only one reason I'm still watching - Diego. As long as Diego is there, I'm there.
