Kim Addonizio, from What Is This Thing Called Love: Poems; “Body and Soul”
[Text ID: “Sometimes the body / gets so quiet / it can hear the soul, / scratching like something trapped / inside the walls / and trying frantically / to get out.”]
Still versions of images from the motion comic. Was a really fun experiment. Definitely interested in doing more stuff like it in the future. Kind of takes the pressure off of a full animation since you can focus on limited motion and sound.
A pred on their period likely wouldn't wanna eat anyone. Their body hurts like hell, everything is sore, so their favorite prey decides to help out.
A warm compress, a soft spot to lay in comfortably, and no fear of leakage, puts em right to sleep as their prey buddy keeps em company while they deal with mother nature's worst joke, knowing damn well as soon as it's over they're gonna be slipping and sliding around in their guts.
