My 2021 Highlights

JANUARY

Ever since the pandemic started we can’t go to school so we do modular learning instead. And I decided to draw Cooky in one of our project on my art subject. Since I was grade 7 I always listen to some kpop songs and I start stanning kpop groups when I was in 8th grade. One of the kpop group I like is Bts. I always enjoy listening to Bts song and I really like them. Their songs have deep meaning and very inspirational, and I love that they try different concepts. Bts create their own character called Bt21 and each members have their own. My bias in Bts is Suga and his Bt21 character is Shooky but I draw Cooky instead because it’s way easier for me and I like the color pink.

FEBRUARY

It’s Sunday so it’s rest day! We went to the lomi house near the sea, so we went to the shore to enjoy the moment. I’m very happy that I can finally relax after a busy week doing my modules and after the burial of my uncle in the same day, it was very sad and I cried a lot but seeing the beautiful view of the sea eases the pain I’m feeling at that time. The sound of waves is music to my ears and it’s nostalgic. Every stroke of the wave brings a lot of memories “waves of memories”. I’m enjoying the view of the sea in front of me but I hate that it brings back a lot of memories from the past that I want to get rid of.

MARCH

I like flowers, I mean everybody does. Flowers makes our surroundings colorful and beautiful and it’s pleasant to our eyes. For me flowers has an emotional impact to us and it provides comfort. Every time I see a flower it makes me smile. And I like how every flower has different in shape, size, color and pattern but they are all beautiful on their own like us humans. I took this photo on our front yard, we have a lot of different types of plant and flowers because my mother likes gardening a real plantita indeed. Let’s appreciate God’s creation and be grateful. “ Like wild flowers you must allow yourself to grow in all the places people thought you never would.”

APRIL

It was 6pm at that time when I go outside and saw this beautiful pinkish sky because of the sun setting. I love everything about our nature. I always took photos of flowers, sunsets, skies, moon and sea, they look exquisite as always. My favorite part of my day is twilight, I’m always looking forward for the sunset. Seeing the beautiful sunset calms my whole being, I felt relieved. No words and picture can capture the true beauty watching the sunset in person, you can take pictures but the feeling is very different while you’re watching it in person. Sunsets create magical moments for each and everyone of us. The best part is that viewing sunset is free and can be enjoyed everywhere.

MAY

It’s Sunday, Family day! We had family outing after more than a year since the pandemic started. I truly enjoy my time with them, a day well spent. I took a lot of pictures of the sea and the sky, it’s so beautiful. It’s an exhausting day because I swim all day, but when I saw this beautiful view in front of my tiredness gone. I can say that this is one of memorable day of my 2021 , a lot of things happen in just one day. I had a good quality time with my family and I ate a lot of foods with them. The sound of the waves calms my mind. It was a tiring day yet an amazing one!

JUNE

It’s Tzuyu’s day! I’m watching Tzuyu’s birthday live on my cousin’s house, because they are also a ONCE(fan of Twice). We are on the terrace of their house when I saw this moon, too early to shine, haha. I took a photo right away because it’s so pretty plus the pine tree and the beautiful sky makes it more picturesque. I always take photo of the moon, and I can say that this one is one of the best I took😆. I’m very happy that I watch Tzuyu’s birthday live with my cousins, I enjoy their company. This beautiful picture I took makes me proud for myself, lol. Probably this photo is one of my favorite photo from my phone.

JULY

Finally, It’s my graduation day! I’m mixed emotion at that time, half of me is happy that I finally finish Junior High School and half of me is sad that I need to start a new journey without my friends and classmates from Junior High School. I made a lot of good memories on my Jhs journey, thanks to them who made my Jhs life more meaningful. Thank you to my parents who always supports and guide me, to my teachers for their nonstop patience on teaching us, to my classmates whom I share a lot of memories and experience whether it’s a good or a bad one and of course to my group of friends I’m very grateful to have you in this journey, thank you for making me laugh and making unforgettable memories with me throughout this Jhs life. And of course thanks God for unconditional love and support, and for giving me a healthy body and mind to finish my study.

AUGUST

Currently we have six cats on our house, everyone in our house loves cats. We have Siamese cat, Persian cat and Normal breed cat. In this photo I’m with my Persian cat Oliver/Olly, he’s very mysterious and very quiet cat among all cats we have, this cat is not clingy he hates hugs and kisses. He’s always in the corner sleeping and don’t interact with our other cat that much. He takes a bath two times a week or at least once a week. This cat eats a lot, I saw him once he’s eating a grass. This is the only decent photo we have. When I’m bored I played with them, they like it everytime I tickle their tummy. Sometimes they sleep beside me, I have a lot of photo of my cat sleeping beside me, I captured it for memories. I love my cats so much<3

SEPTEMBER

Our online class started since September 1. For me it was quite hard to adjust from modular learning to online class. I face a lot of hardships this school year. Sometimes I don’t understand our lesson because of the slow internet not only my internet but also for my teacher. My cat represents my real reaction to online class “nakakapagod pero tuloy pa din”. It’s draining but I need to continue because I have a goal in life. I don’t know why my cat looks tired in this photo hahaha. Sometimes I wish I was a cat, no school works, no household task, just eat and sleep all day and chase rats also! Bonus that they are cute and fluffy♡

OCTOBER

It’s jjajangmyeon time hehe! I always watched Korean variety shows, kdrama and kpop that got my interest into their culture. Ever since I’m interested to kpop I also interested to other k-stuff like kdrama and Korean variety show. I always watch mukbang videos and I crave for Korean foods at all times. I went to the grocery with my mother when I saw this pack of instant jjajangmyeon noodle that caught my attention, so I buy it of course! If I rate it 1 out of 10 I will give it 7/10 the color doesn’t look appetizing, but the taste is good. I wish I could try the authentic jjajangmyeon and other korean foods I’m craving for in the future, in South Korea!✌

YO SEBAS’ ROUTE HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED FOR JP I CANT WAIT!!! Do you have any theories of what could happen in his route?!?

Haha, yes, I saw this morning! For those who haven’t yet seen the announcement, it has been said that Sebastian’s route will be coming to the JPN version of Ikevamp on August 25th! It’s very exciting news, and I can’t wait to get started translating after I finish Dazai’s.

Honestly I’m finding this so many degrees of hilarious because I was like “oh ya I’m curious” at first, but after seeing that character introduction video with the lil forehead kiss and the horny as all HELL biting, I’m SLAMMING the horny button holy shit??? (I have that card CG in the JPN ver of the game on my phone and. lord jesus. That scowl. WILL HE STEP ON ME ONEGAI AKIHIKO)

That being said, let’s address the second part of the ask, shall we? Theories! If I’m honest I’m not surprised Sebastian was next on the docket, but I do admit I’m thoroughly surprised by the CG of him biting MC in earnest--he visibly draws blood on her neck and shoulder. This raises so many questions that are likely to be reiterated endlessly until his rt comes out in full, the most pressing of which is: does Sebastian turn into a vampire? Or is he just really into sadistic foreplay?

If I’m honest I sincerely don’t know if he’s fully turned, only because I’m trying to sort out the information we do have. Why turn into a vampire if the goal is to be with MC, who is also human? If we follow this course of thought, it doesn’t seem to make much sense, does it?

But then our boi Sebas is different in terms of his internalized conflict when compared to the vampires. Granted I may turn out to be wrong about this, but I think the two focal points of his route will be as follows: insecurity and the pursuit of knowledge. Remember that the reason Sebastian (our dearest Akihiko Sato) agrees to Comte’s proposal at all is his insatiable curiosity. I mean just think about it. If Comte told all that stuff about the mansion to someone in modern times, they would probably just figure he was a crazy person and go on with their day. But Sebas, the absolute madlad, agreed; he wanted to see if it was true, and to learn everything he could about people who exhibit extraordinary talent.

I foresee that this, however, may become a double-edged sword. Curiosity killed the cat, as they say. What I mean to say is that it could be very possible he might turn or undergo something similar to the changing process in order to experience what it’s like firsthand (whether to prove he can handle it or because he wants to understand the residents better/gather info). Furthermore, while Sebastian is curious--with no malicious intent at all--this doesn’t mean that envy is impossible in this kind of scenario, either. Admiration and envy are like two sides of a coin; depending on how one interprets information, they can skew to self-consciousness or inspiration. Given the content I’ve seen for Sebastian so far (and man has it been limited as all heck) I often get the implication that he truly does feel inadequate in some ways compared to the other men. As soon as MC chooses him a kind of overwhelming awareness of his normalcy begins; the implication that he is the wrong or lesser choice. Knowing this, I truly wouldn’t be surprised if problems arise as a result of this self-effacing.

(Note: I don’t think that about Sebastian at all, personally! I think he’s very mindful of others and really astute--to say nothing of his skill when it comes to the domestic sphere. I don’t think just anybody could do what he does, and he sells himself far too short. I always think of how the men call him the Ninja Butler and praise how capable he is, how they freely admit the place wouldn’t be the same without him. Sometimes I wish Sebas could see that, though I understand his concerns as well ;-; I’m always torn bc I’ll be like “I understand but alSO N O”)

Besides those latent insecurities, time to expand more on the pursuit of knowledge. In one way this drive might feed his self-derision; he might believe that the more he is able to do and understand and study, the more he can be of use/help other people. (Put simply his value as a person = the increasing extent of his knowledge in an almost linear relationship; without it he is nothing). On the other hand, I think he just genuinely enjoys collecting information the way he does! He likes assessing all the different ways people behave and why, and how this contributes to how they think and who they are. More insight offers him more ways to preoccupy his endlessly moving mind, but it also offers proximity with the subject in question. This to me is absolutely key--I think so much of his studying the great men is linked to his admiration, his wish to be like them and/or his wish to be close to them.

I’d like to address a quick reference to the drinking event that recently released in the ENG version of the app, if only to expand on/clarify where this is coming from. It essentially featured Sebastian and Napoleon sharing a drink together at a bar and in it, Sebastian speaks to the way that he encountered Napoleon in his life, and the reason why he grew so fond of him. He speaks to a childhood entirely detached from the people of his own time, roving through the shelves of libraries, reading endlessly to fill that void. It was a quote by Napoleon that caught his eye and inspired him, and ostensibly the words of people long past that gave him the strength to keep moving forward. This information, coupled with his strange excitement in Isaac’s rt introduction about how Isaac used to throw hands with people who mocked him seems to bring to the forefront a few things for me.

Sebastian is highly, highly individualistic: he doesn’t seem to care much about what is conventional or normal, only in what brings him joy and makes others comfortable/happy. His life is highly internal, but I sense no anti-sociality in this removal from societal expectations. He just lives his own way and tries not to trouble anyone. (This is also highly notable in his acute impatience with Dazai’s shenanigans/ineptitudes now and again; while he doesn’t always scold or explode, he shows a sharp and surprising impatience with willful/harmful/irresponsible behavior.) He’s tactful and measured, but highly excitable under the right circumstances. He also doesn’t seem to think much of his own life re: self-derision. Think Leonardo’s rt ending: he insists that the serial killer focus on him and not on MC, he tells her he has no qualms with dying if it means she’ll make it out alive. MC has to be the one to tell him to think more of his own life. As such I wouldn’t put it past him to have enough nerdy reckless energy to test the waters of being a vampire (all the better if it helps him understand the great men).

Comte once said it in an event story a few months ago, but I think he really hit the nail on the head in some respects. He says something to the effect of “His curiosity is admirable, but please Sebastian--some things are to remain private.” Sebastian doesn’t intend to be intrusive or malicious, he just likes knowing things for the sake of knowing. It’s about the cones answering his nerdy desire to piece things together, not stepping on people’s toes. (It’s nice too because Comte seems to understand this and doesn’t see it as a shortcoming/nuisance, he just tries to nudge Sebas in a different direction if he starts prying too close to people’s personal business ;-; pls pardon the Comte love I just can’t help myself)

Enter Johann Georg Faust.

Now then we know very little about the reserved priest doctor, but there are tidbits of information that we can work with (or at the very least, stand out to me a lot). The one I would like to focus on for this explanation is the little blurb that appears when you open the Ikevamp app and it’s loading, providing something like trivia facts for each character. In the ENG app we got those early, but we don’t have the ones for our antagonists. Iirc, Faust’s reads something to the effect of “will often sneak substances into their (as in the castle residents Vlad and Charles’) food to test the effect of his concoctions on vampires.” There have been hints that Faust is to be our mad scientist of sorts; that he is experimenting under Vlad’s orders to find a reliable way to transform a human being into an immortal equivalent to that of a pureblood. But I have mentioned on more than one occasion that I really don’t think Faust is only doing all of this for Vlad. He has his own curiosity that is seeking to be alleviated, perhaps he is satisfied with having another puzzle dumped in his lap--a means to distract himself and exhaust his faculties.

(One has to wonder if Vlad turned them under the same principle of desperation, and if that were the case, what Faust and Charles might desire more than anything else...Is Faust operating on a kind of necessity to atone? Has he simply given up hope that scientific advancement can happen without someone getting hurt, and so he does his best to balance the good and bad wrought by his explorations? Is he trying to bring someone back himself, is he trying to stall Vlad’s efforts in his own way? I really can’t be sure; there are just too many unanswered questions when it comes to Faust...)

This is where Sebastian and Faust begin to overlap. The pursuit of knowledge, an insatiable curiosity, a capacity to overreach the bounds of appropriate civility/decorum to get the information they want. It could potentially serve as a temptation for Sebas; become a vampire by Vlad’s hand and you can watch history over the span of generations. Assist in the development of an immortal, and you won’t even need someone like Comte to walk you through the different eras of time--you could explore yourself. While Sebas seems to be motivated more by service to other people, there can be no doubt that this could cause a great deal of friction. He will have to work to remind himself why he’s doing what he does and what it means to him, and whether or not becoming a vampire is truly what he wants.

But, there is also the issue of Vlad’s telepathic manipulations. Is it possible that an encounter with Faust (and by extension, proximity to Vlad/meeting Vlad head-on) could result in Sebastian being turned/experimented on without his knowledge? I.e. Vlad using his compulsion and sending him home with a word or memory of what happened. Though that’s certainly not the only possible explanation available. The other thing I was thinking about was a mechanic that was introduced in event stories prior to Sebas’ MS announcement. In the event story, MC and her suitor of choice encounter a street merchant that boasts a serum that can turn people into vampires. They, of course, don’t believe him--but the vial is procured and MC either purposefully or accidentally is exposed to it (i.e she knocks it over and it shatters in Leo’s ES). For a brief time, she exhibits vampiric qualities; she feels the thirst for blood as acutely as any of the other vampires in the mansion. I.e. In Napoleon’s ES, Sebas notices something wrong with MC when they’re just pouring vials of Rouge--the usual prepwork--and she runs out of the room looking dazed. Her odd/new instincts are only alleviated when she bites and drinks Napoleon’s blood, but after that single episode she shows no further signs of vampiric qualities. It��s a temporary but acute transformation. While I have no specifics as to how this is possible, I have to wonder if something similar might be done to Sebastian; whether as a means to test him (does he really want this? find out after the commercial break) or a kind of trick/trap laid by the antagonists. I remain unsure, but these are the two most likely explanations that come to mind if he hasn’t been fully turned.

As to whether or not his vampirism will be permanent, I’ve genuinely been oscillating on that one. I think it’s certainly possible given his intrigue (I never see much fear in him) with vampirism and his probable enjoyment with the prospect of an endless life learning about things (I can literally hear Leonardo screaming internally and I’m ngl it’s sad and funny). But there’s also something about the bite CG that speaks to strain/alarm, to surprise--that he wasn’t at all aware of the changes within himself--and I have to wonder if it might put him off of the prospect (like that he lost control/hurt MC)...Essentially I think it will just really boil down to how the symptoms come about (temporary or permanent), and how much his affections for MC might deter that curiosity/possible wish (if temporary, he might not touch the prospect again--if permanent, THAT WOULD BE SO FUCKING SEXY BECAUSE I’d wager the rest of the route might be MC trying to help him adjust/recover IN A SEXY WAY).

(Note post-translation: I fucking HATE IT HERE. The bite CG text says smth to the effect of “The bloodlust is unbearable--stay away from me; I don’t think I’ll be able to keep from attacking you.”) In light of this information, I am this 👌 close to launching myself straight into the sun. OFC his route is gonna be sweet as all shit and then it’s just gonna go downhill from there with angst. WHYYYYYYYYYY AKIHIKO (at least his voice is mega sexy and heals my wounds OTL) It also says something about “a fate that is greatly moved” so that does suggest a more permanent change than the temporary alternatives I mentioned (though we all know how Cybird loves to jerk us around so I’m leaving that up for debate)...this shit better be hurt/comfort or i s2g im throwing hands

darling one: As a writer, your post struck a nerve with me. I don’t send feedback to writers I like nearly as much as I should (and certainly not as much as I’d like in return as a writer). So, as such, I’m going to start doing that when I can, starting with you.

You are an incredible writer. You were one of the first yandere writing blogs I found and you’re still one I check in on regularly to see what you have been working on. You can portray a sense of suspense and intrigue in a natural way that many other writers - published ones included - struggle with. You delve into the darkness without it feeling forced, and you have an amazing grasp on the psyches of the characters you write for (which is a quality I adore in writing and strive toward myself).

I’m not great at ending these things so I guess.. you keep doing you? Because the you is great and I appreciate it.

1) Do you have a favorite OC?

I’m quite attached to the children in my Embracing Entropy series. Probably because they are based on my kids. But the book is currently out of print and I have some editing to work on before finding a 2nd print run publisher for it since my previous editor dropped the ball.

2) Which WIP has changed the most? Why?

My current WIP is a monster that is weaving one hell of a spell. It’s a nonfiction spirituality book, so of course it should. It’s just a tall order and it’s drawing things out of me that I didn’t know existed.

3) Do you enjoy worldbuilding? Do you consider yourself good at it?

I love shaping worlds from nothing. It’s pulling me back and making it believable for readers that’s the problem. My fiction is all over the place, that’s why I balance it with my nonfiction.

4) Have you ever made a conlang/fictional language for a WIP

YES! The aliens in Embracing Entropy have their own language that took a lot of planning and linguistics research.

5) Do you like to keep faceclaims of your OCs? Do you find them online or draw them yourself?

No. Everything I write is kept in my brain.

6) Has anyone ever made any fanfic or fan art for you?

I had a talented instagram artist do a piece based on my short story, “Resurfacing.” He drew one of the seahorses from the scuba diving adventure and used a quote in the picture. I was so thrilled. I asked to buy it but it’s part of a sketchbook project so he was reluctant to sell haha

7) Who is your writing buddy/confidant you always come to about your work?

My husband Dash Crowley. he knows what I need to hear and how to get through to me when things get tough.

8) Big or small cast?

I read this as big or small cats haha

I let the story decide how many cast members come in. It often starts small and more characters just come in without asking. They can be very rude sometimes.

In regards to CATS, I love big and small ones. I used to work as a veterinarian for one of my area’s top zoologists so the big cats have their special place in my heart. Especially African servile, but I truly believe they should be left in the wild.

9) Were any of your characters inspired by others you saw or read about?

I don’t generally base my work on other characters. real people inspire me more.

10) Favorite trope(s)?

I used to be a sucker for tragedies, but the older I get, the more value I see in stories of redemption.

11) How do you waste time not writing?

I never waste time haha I hike, swim, dance, sing, play guitar, chase butterflies, climb trees, test out local restaurants and annoy my family. Wasting time is boring.

It’s a giant book about the magick of instinct and how humans are less domesticated than we think we are.

I always have a few going at one time. I currently have 3 going. The rule of 3 usually works well here.

I AM currently living in my major WIP and I love it.

I suck at titles. I usually have to beg my husband for help. He is the title master haha

Writing until my fingers throb.

It depends on the year. Usually about a dozen.

I understand you my dear Tony, cooking is an art and you are a more science person :D (And I am sure Steeb would still be very happy (when his stomach is well trained with eating the food you cook) to eat all of what you cook anyways!)

“Your breakfast is ready.”

Wearing Steve’s apron outside his usual black tank top, Tony stood at Steve’s track towards the fridge and drawled. His messy deep chocolate brown hair and the dark circles under his eyes indicating that the genius probably stayed up all night at his workshop again.

Steve blinked.

“I lost the bet, so, a breakfast made by me and - quote ‘no help from JARVIS or any algorithms or AIs’ unquote - for you.” Not waiting for Steve’s reply, Tony said, turned around and busy putting whatever it is from the waffle machine on the plate while avoiding all the mess he made in the kitchen with grace. “I hope you like it.”

Sitting at the table, Steve looked at the plate Tony shoved at his direction and, maybe not surprisingly, found out it was a waffle that looked like his shield on the plate.

And of course, that was a brand new Captain America Waffle Maker on the counter.

“Thank you Tony, but actually you don’t need to get up early just to make me waffles…” Honestly, Steve was kind of touched. He didn’t even remember what the bet was – probably it was some silly little things like who knocked out more enemies in the battle or how long Tony could resist playing with his phone – but Tony remembered.

He really shouldn’t doubt if things (Tony’s cooking, really), even just for a second, would be that bad when Pepper told him it might not be a good idea. Even fish with omelet which were cooked for two hours straight could not beat his enhanced healing ability. And considering Tony’s ability to learn, cooking wouldn’t be such a difficult thing for him.

“Come on, don’t underestimate me, Rogers.” Totally misunderstood Steve’s reply, the genius snorted. And taking into account of his messy hair and the waffle dough sticking on his cheek, he was kind of cute like this. “Prepare to be amazed by Tony Stark.”

It was not until Tony put the tong he used to put the waffle on the plate – there was still some dough sticking on it – into the kettle which was still heating on the stove, that Steve noticed he was boiling water. Or to be precise, pasta.

Steve watched in horror that Tony gripped and lift some pasta from the kettle and seriously examining if it is ready. “See, you can then pour out the soup directly.” Tony proudly added.

“…But as far as I know, pasta usually doesn’t serve with soup?” Out of all the screaming warnings in his head like ‘DANGER RUN’ or ‘Did you study in Hogwarts with best grades in Potions Class?’ or even ‘Did Voldemort die from eating those?’, Steve’s brain picked a question which answer he really didn’t want to know.

“Mine isn’t the usual ones.” The genius snorted again, seemingly very proud of himself. If Steve wasn’t the one who was going to eat all of the food, he would be happier to admit he loved seeing Tony being so sure of himself so much. But now? Now Steve only saw Death, very cute and soft one notwithstanding. “I took the seasoning pack from Clint’s limited edition of ramen – I really want to see his face when he discovers there is only the noodles left in the packing – so it is very delicious.”

Pasta cooked in the kettle with instant ramen’s seasoning and a waffle probably made of only water and flour. Steve regretted that he should listen to Pepper. Pepper was always right. But it is too late now.

“So, the soup, is it meant to be in red colour…?” Captain America didn’t afraid of danger, he stood firm against Nazis, hostile aliens and any bullies. So Steve asked bravely and no, he wasn’t stuttering. Absolutely not.

“Oh, no. It is because I know you are so fond of healthy diet, I was planning to put some mushroom or asparagus in it but I couldn’t find any.” Tony answered, clearly not noticing he was making the pasta as dangerous as an army of Doombots. “But I guess a several beetroots will do too.”

For the sake of world peace – and for his poor stomach, he is sure not even the super serum could withstand Tony’s cooking – Steve decided he will do all the cooking in the future.

“What are you doing Tony no NONONO don’t use your repulsor beam –“

(Well by the way, all the cooking methods mentioned are based on true incidents, and yes, I myself am a really really bad cook (many friends called me a cook from hell but it is nonsense, I think the dishes from hell would taste a lot better), so yes, Tony I will always by your side :D)

And I think I will pick up a bit on writing fanfics although I know my English is bad, but drawing is kinda not enough for expressing my headcannons sometimes, so please put up with me pretty please? :D

Welcome to 2019

Version 3.0 : Final Version - Wow. February and finally, the 9th is here. All of you my 488 followers can finally enjoy it (372 by the end of 2017). I’ve never been that late to write a sum up but it’s pretty obvious that if it took me so much time to do it, then deep down I didn’t want to do it. Indeed I was about to let that sink in and leave this post with the version 2.0. But I remembered I had one person to honor. And this is what this year 2018 is about : focusion on the good actions and the good people. Because spoiler alert : this year 2018 have been on some other level of shit. More than 2013, 2014 and 2017 combined.

Well let’s do some quickmaths : as i said we upgraded from 372 to 488 followers (and roughly 2,241 posts). For the 9th time I have to say that I have mad love for y’all (except fake pr0n blogs, y’all aint shit). For the humans that still follow me : thank you. And I’ll have even more love for the poeple who read this until the end haha. I have to apologize because these last months my tumblr looks pretty much like a mess, between the heartbreaking lyrics, quotes, passive agressive posts than only a few people can understand ... And that’s all because of that one follower I lost (y’all understood it was an euphemism). But to be accurate, I don’t want this post to become another heartbreak post : there are already too much of them on my tumblr. Indeed, it’s one of the main contraints I forced myself to write under. Because “l’art naît de contraintes” (Art rises from contraints) like Van Gogh said. So : not another heartbreak post where I pour my heart out for a girl who won’t even read it (guess I’ve done enough with the Helsinki post). But it’s kinda difficult because this break up is the main reason my 4 last months of 2018 (and on...) have been so so awful and so much things happened because of this. But nevermind I’ll do my best. I’ll do my best because like I said, this post is more about love. This break up surely made me less human, mistrustful, but still, I’m writting because I’ve seen beautiful actions that had to be honored. But we’ll see that later. What other contraints for this 9th sum up ? A young lady I’ve met this year challenged me to write 2 good things for 1 bad that happened to me this year. I’m sorry, I failed ahah. I found more good than bad, but that 2 for 1 ratio was a bit too much ahah. Désolé ma grande ;) And because of this, I had to have a kind of draft for writting, even though I always told myself these sum up needed to be written without drafts, to keep them kinda “natural”. Looks like I’m taking this more and more seriously haha. Well, when I say that this year have been worse than my 3 worst years combined this is not a joke. Have you ever told yourself for example “Wow I left all my stuff in the car, I would be deadly unlucky if someone would break into it and stole everything !” ...Yes, that’s that level of mischance. Because this happened to me btw. And that’s the spirit of this whole year. In “Welcome to 2016″ I remember talking about “mala suerte” ... that was bullshit, 2018 is the real mala suerte. The heartbreak of this year is the worst of my whole life by far, then I’ve been close to what I dreamt of in karate, what I fight for since 2011, had 2 chances to get it this year and I still not got it by a hair’s breadth. Dad got into a crash car, hopefully only the car got wrecked. (so sad it won’t take me again to Andorra haha) People kept on deceiving me. Close friends but also unknowns.

People close to me know how much I cherish friendship. If you’re my friend and you’re not doing well, then I’m already on my way to yours to fix you. No exceptions. Even faster if it’s because of a heartbreak, because heartbroken people should never feel lonely. It’s that simple. SO when I see fuckers I have been there for through ups, downs and heartbreaks and these people are not even able to give it back to me I can’t help being mad. And I don’t act like that in order to make people give that kindness back to me, that’s not the purpose. But I do hate ungratefulness. So, I had to go through a heartbreak again and I saw people disappear again. So that’s enough lines wasted talking about these people. I also have to talk about those who were there. In 2018 I also found an awesome training partner and got closer to her clan. That’s a positive energy I really needed on that 2nd half of 2018. Par ailleurs, tu liras surement jamais ça mais je me permets une parenthèse pour te dire encore une fois Merci Julie pour avoir sauvé ma vie. This kind of old friendship is priceless to me. We can also talk about some young friendship : in march I met someone (almost my best 2018, except I didn’t manage to define an encounter good enough to define it as the best of 2018) who made me go deeper into Tekken, making me getting closer to the Tekken community in Tls. Funny how I always dreamt of this when I was a kid and this is happening. Indeed I’m living the shonen life : I’m in a group (where I met some really lovely people), I’m not the strongest but hell I do what I can to improve and that’s begining to pay even if i won’t forget the 68-0 against sensei, and like in karate I still aim to the top. It’s funny to be inside another competitive world where people don’t have all the values we have in karate. Some of these Tekken people (in the whole country, not only in Toulouse) show off, are mean to each other etc ... And also like in karate, we admire asians for being the best to do it in the whole world. What else ? I became a karate teacher. Took me a bit of time, it wasn’t hard but just took me time and dedication. I still met some great people all along this experience. I made peace with the old pals, vacays together were really incredible. Some of the sweetest days of this year. One of the sweetest day this year was the day I worked hard as hell and went back “home” to the one I love. What a lovely feeling. But I guess we didn’t lived it the same way ... Then, I also had the chance to make a karate lesson in the 1st place I’ve been taught karate !!! This was outstanding because I love to give back to those who gave me, and I love to inspire people. So, it was such a pleasure to tell these kids “I was standing where you are now. I started like you and I’ve been getting stronger and stronger. If I did it you can do it too !!!”. I truly believe some of those kids are about to be deadly strong, hopefully I’ll be done with competition haha. Talking about competition, i sadly lost my title in Andorra by mid June. At the end of the competition, I promised to come back stronger and to revenge but there will be no revenge as this competition will not be repeated in 2019. Indeed, this Andorra 2018 was a great competition and a great trip. A cool trip, great team, great mates, a lot of alcohol, a good hotel room, and love ... so much love. A deadly hangover, but a lot of love. Sadly, there would not have been love again, as 1414 who was my coach for the weekend, my partner on the tatami and in life decided to take a different path from mine. Indeed, I promised to not talk too much about that but this is all the 2nd half of 2018 is about : me trying not to drown because of this heartbreak and it feels like everything is related to that. I got cocky and forgot the 1st and only love lesson my father taught me “nothing lasts forever, mostly in love”. Damn he was right. Even my mother was right for not trusting her at the begining, and God knows she’s never right usually. I won’t even mention what that break up costed me. But as the big bro says : there were no house, no kids, no joined bank account ... Only wasted times and dead dreams now. “La mort d’un rêve” ... it’s still something painful. S. is now a dead dream. I cannot imagine my own flesh meeting some destructive people like the ones I met and going through hard times like I’m going through. I wouldn’t be able to handle it. So no more S. and no more L., and it’s a hell of a problem as I’ve always built my life around the fact that I wanted them. And it’s painful because I wanted them with her. Nevermind, no one will ever know “what a great father I could be” as 1414 said. So much dreams. Gone. My 5 brothers took care of me as much as they could and they did amazingly great. I’ll never thank God enough for putting these guys into my life. Hope they know how much I love them. That was sad to see another one of them going back to his motherland but ... what an amazing last evening in Toulouse we spent. I’ll never forget this one.

Still talking about the break up and all the bad that happened this year : tbh I couldn’t draw good lessons from all of these bad things. Really. But like I said, I’ve seen good things coming from good people. So now I need to talk about 27. First of all, 27 was right on so many levels. (yes, I use numbers to not drop real names). Those who know me know that I love to experience, live everything. I would have been better without this heartbreak but still, it taught me new things. I could understand 27 better. When she talked about hell, she wasn’t joking at all. The doubts, the negativity, the hate, self-hate ... I think that’s too much to handle. But still, she still tried to help me when she saw me going through that hell. I couldn‘t thank her enough for this and that must be remembered. This is the whole reason I still wanted to write this sum up, in spite of all the bad things that happened. It was like : a soul lending a hand to another soul. Merci. Je ne l’oublierai jamais, je t’en dois une belle. Et toujours d’une âme à une autre. Tu dis le contraire mais tu as une belle âme et je suis sûr qu’il te reste beaucoup d’amour à donner. Tu as trop à donner à ce monde (en espérant que tu me lises un jour)

Also, I could understand 26 better. [...] And 26 still have the most beautiful smile in the whole world. No transition : Najwa Zebian said that « it’s unfair that new people in my life will have to destroy walls around me they didn’t even built » (btw I love this woman, she also had a big impact on my life through her reflexions) and I can tell she’s right but … trusting people is so hard these days. I really don’t know what to think about this statement. I think I’ve always been picky about who I let close to me and I still got fucked up by my ex-lover, my entourage … It’s all about who to trust, who to let in and who to cut … And it feels like I’ve been making the wrong decisions for years.

It’s starting getting late so let me end up with facts nobody cares. Neutral facts : I discovered lofi this year, my hero academia (FUCKING AWESOME !!!!), Tokyo Ghoul, 7DS, sword art online (great !!), la casa de papel, stranger things, sherlock, IP MAN 3, the good place, misfits, Juice Wrld blew up this year, NAV, Dosseh ... Funny how I discovered some of the saddest love song this year haha. Bad facts : I got injuried a lot. Females still played me a lot. Indeed I realized females are cruel but I still love them. This might be the proof we don’t chose our sexual orientation haha. Then, I couldn’t train properly from Sept to Dec. Oh, I can’t listen anymore to : Nicki, Kehlani, Rihanna or Cardi B. “More life” or “Views from the 6″ are albums I can’t listen to anymore. Well, GOOD FACTS now ! : Got a karate gi from J. (outstanding move), I put the young bloods in high school at Tekken and mangas haha. I met 80′s family and it was like a dream and I’m sure I got luckied in another dimension haha. 80 and 90 are still close to perfection in my eyes. 30 is still 30, with good and bad moods. I’m in peace with the sensei. I also received one of the best gift of my life. I learned that I was able to train by myself thanks to my power of mind ! To finish, I saw that I was able to forgive and still give love, even if it was pointless and too late.

Well, 2019 has already started and this will sure be a hell of a ride (January was ... special) as now I’m like on some quicksand shit. Let’s go ! And let’s not forget those 2018 that marked this year and I’ll surely be listening to in a decade (you need to know that I still listen to all the songs in the previous sum ups !). Enjoy :)

summary: dark Changbin was recruited by his older sister to help her open up her flower shop cafe; where customers can order coffee, look at flowers/plants, or even buy them~ this was out of Binnie Binnie Changbinnie’s dark concept but all of that changed when he saw you~

his sister slung her arm around you, “lo and behold; my brother, he’s gonna help you out around here so it’s not just me, you and Chim Chim”

you both look at Changbin; waiting for him to introduce himself

“uh.. hey.. I’m Seo Chang-”

ding ding

the high school girls in the back start screaming

“OHMYGOSHTHECOFFEEPRINCEISHERE” they all fangirl amongst themselves but it completely interrupts Changbin’s introduction

Changbin looks behind him to see a “prince-looking” guy; he’s probably Chim Chim

“oh are you a customer?” Chim Chim asks as he hangs his jacket on the STAFF ONLY coat rack and puts on his customized apron

“no. I’m Seo Changbin.. uh the manager’s brother...here to help out” he shoves his hands in his pockets

(I must’ve looked stupid being interrupted by a good looking guy) he thought to himself

you rushed over, did a little bow, “I’m y/n, I hope I can be off any help~”

(even their voice is majestic)

Chim Chim stuck his hand out for Changbin to shake, “I’m Park Jimin but you can call me Chim Chim..”

Changbin looks at Jimin for a bit before shaking his hand

“it’s really nice to meet you~” you said cheerfully

he slips his hand away from Jimin and ruffles the back of his head, “thanks..”

“CHIM CHIM CAN WE ORDER MORE COFFEE AND CAKE?” the high school girls caught everyone’s attention

“well guess I’ll go tend these customers then.. nice to meet cha~”

you nodded and waved to Chim Chim as he left

“well seems like everyone is acquainted, we have to go get ingredients for tomorrow. see you guys tomorrow~” Changbin’s sister slung her arm around Changbin and walked out of the shop

“why would you bring me in the shop, just to go back out?”

she gives him a nougie on his head, “because at least you know who else works here.. now let’s go..”

the rest of the day, he couldn’t stop thinking about you and he fell asleep just like that

DAY 2; he was ready to walk into work

ding ding

“oh hello again..” you bowed to greet him and his sister

“Chim Chim and y/n knows everything you need to know so just ask them, okay, Binnie?”

he looks at his sister and gives her the “WHY’D YOU HAVE TO CALL ME BY MY HOME NICKNAME” face

she just smiles, “BYE BINNIE BINNIE CHANGBINNIE, SEE YA LATER GUYS~”

you bowed as she left

“so... can I call you Binnie too? I think it’s super cute”

(how can anyone say no to a face like that?) Changbin was in a pickle

“ye-yeah...” he gets all flustered, no one ever called him that outside of home

“first things first, let’s get you started with the espresso machines”

you thoroughly went through the steps of making espresso; while going through the tips and tricks to making certain type of coffees

there was a laminated booklet of how to make which coffee which was easy to read; “it took me a while to put it together but at least we have a step by step booklet of how to make what”

Changbin was so surprised, he lifted up the booklet

“you wrote all these down? and these drawings are yours?”

you wriggled your nose with your knuckle, “haha yeah..”

everything was in detail and it looked like something off of Pinterest

“this is amazing~”

“isn’t she just the greatest?” you both turn to see Jimin hanging over the counter

for some reason, he made Changbin annoyed

(if this guy keeps on loitering around here, I won’t ever have a chance with y/n.. what if they’re already a thing...)

“stop it, I’m not that great... it’s just the little things count you know?”

they both nod in agreement

“ah, Binnie, I need you to make me a “semi-sweet truffle hot chocolate,” a “hot hazelnut macchiato,” and a “iced raspberry passionfruit lemonade,” Chim Chim says as he rolls up his sleeves

“what will you be doing then..” Changbin was growing irritated: (I don’t think I said it was okay for you to call me Binnie..)

“me? I mess up the drinks every time but the customers still drink it, our customers are the best. I’m in charge of baking and making light luncheons, that’s what I’m good at~ I’m actually in charge of the flower shop but working here? gotta do both~”

Chim Chim disappears in the back; whistling away (to DNA)

“well let’s get to it then!” you brightly said

you let Changbin do most of the work as you guided him

the two other drinks were done; now it was the moment of truth

how much was Changbin paying attention to the espresso machine?

“does this go like this?” Changbin was just hitting the double shot portafiltro on the gruppro

you chuckled and lightly grabbed his hand because that’s where the handle was, “it goes into this, push it slightly upwards and turn it to the side, THERE YOU GO YOU DID IT!”

you started to clap, “good job Binnie~”

he turns around to get the cup for the macchiato, “thanks..”

(CALM DOWN CALM DOWN BRO, YOU CAN’T LET THEM SEE YOU LIKE A BLUSHING MESS)

“hey Binnie your face is red, are you okay?” Chim Chim says as he comes out of the kitchen with two croque monsieurs and a plate of berry-towered honey toast

(DAMMIT CHIM CHIM)

“it’s just hot in here..” Changbin couldn’t blow his cover so he took off his hoodie

he goes back to finish the hazelnut macchiato and places all the drinks on the tray

“there’s all your drinks..” he mumbled

“could you help me bring it over there, I can’t balance drinks and a towering plate of honey toast from here to over there..” Chim Chim pouts

Changbin looks at you, “it would actually be good if you could get some customer interaction” you say with your lips curling upwards

(WHY IS Y/N SO CUTE) he internally clenches his heart

he just nods and follows Chim Chim to the customers

“oh.. you must be the new guy.. uh Binnie?” one of them spoke to Changbin

Changbin looks like a deer in headlights, “how do you know my name?”

they giggled, “Chim Chim told us about you when he got our order..”

they whispered loudly amongst themselves, “don’t you think he looks good with y/n?”

“yeah, they look really cute working in the back”

Changbin was flabbergasted, “what?”

“oops.. now now girl, you should talk about what I said too loudly, it’s not even official or anything~ enjoy~” Chim Chim places “sweet peas” on their table as a “thank you” for always coming in everyday

then he pushes Changbin along as the girls continued to giggle

“wh-what? explain yourself..” Changbin was just a confused mess

Chim Chim points to you and Changbin while you are dealing with another customer, then crosses his arms

“y/n likes you; I’m trying to set my sister up with you”

(this whole time, I thought that y/n were having a thing with Chim Chim but he was actually you brother the whole time?)

Binnie is shook (...AND WAIT SHE LIKES ME?)

“WH-WHAT?!” Changbin catches the attention of everyone

“IT’S OKAY BINNIE, IT’S OKAY, IT’S JUST YOUR FIRST DAY IT’S OKAY THAT YOU DON’T HAVE A CUSTOMIZED APRON” Chim Chim was trying to make it look like you guys weren’t talking about anything important

Changbin covers his mouth and lowers his voice into a whisper, “what do you mean??””

Chim Chim tells him about the one time, he took you to go on a brother-sister night trip in Hongdae and she saw Changbin buskering with his pre-debut group

she “instantly” fell in love; he quoted

also saying how she almost fainted when she saw you walk in; she didn’t know you were the manager’s brother; calling it “destiny”

Chim Chim goes back into the kitchen but taps Changbin’s butt towards you, “atta’boy”

Changbin glares at him as he is protecting his buns

“so.. y/n..” he leans in over the counter, in your face

you looked up and almost fell

(TOO CLOSE TOO CLOSE) you were about to have a heart attack

“GEEZ ARE YOU OKAY?” Changbin reaches his hands out

but you just dusted imaginary somethings off your apron, “I’m good thanks, I just slipped on some spilled water...”

taking a step back, you looked up at him, smiling

“what is it?”

Changbin takes a deep breath in, “CAN YOU TEACH ME ABOUT FLOWERS?”

Chim Chim was in the back, watching; he slaps himself in the forehead

more customers pop into the cafe, “hey Chim Chim, can you cover for me really quick?”

he nods and you bring Changbin to the back of the shop; in the cafe/shop, the walls were covered in flowers that grew on vines and in the back there were 3 steps leading into the glassed flower shop, the glass was to keep the coffee beans from absorbing the scent of the flower and for the flowers to not smell like coffee

usually people buy flowers after they get coffee so they would usually ask the workers to be taken to buy them

“I also made a book with what kinds of flowers you would give to someone.. like here’s a tab for “thank you’s” and there’s a selection of which color or flower you should get..”

you went on and on about describing the book but Changbin was just staring at you, in a trance

when you looked up at him, he would avert his eyes in the book or looking at the flowers..

“Chim Chim usually takes care of these flowers.. so if you have any questions about them, you should ask him” you just smiled at him, hoping that he won’t stare at you for so long or you will die of a heart attack

he doesn’t the conversation between the two of you end..

so he grabs a daisy, “what’s the meaning of this one?”

you tried to hide your smile, “innocence, purity and true love..WELL I GOTTA GET BACK TO THE CAFE, CHIM CHIM LOOKS LIKE HE’S HAVING A HARD TIME..”

you left him in the glassed room

his eyes return to the daisy and starts plucking the petals; “ y/n loves me.. loves me not....loves me... loves me not...”

he keeps on plucking until it gets to the last one..”loves..me..”

with a big smile on his face, he cleans up his mess and dashes to you

Changbin shows up to your side and helps you out with the drinks immediately and it catches you off guard

you bumped into him

“oh? you’re back?”

he nods with a smile and moves to the cash register, “Binnie Binnie, Changbinnie here, what can I get you?”

and with that the day ends...

Chim Chim and his sister needs to talk about the shop/cafe so they let you and Changbin leave early

“you don’t have to walk me home..” you said as you were fiddling inside the pocket of your brother’s oversized hoodie

the street lights started lighting up one by one, “what kind of guy would I be if I let you walk home by yourself at night?”

you guys were left with the sounds of your footsteps skidding the sidewalk

BEEP BEEP

Changbin looks behind him and pulls you into the safe side of the road

“WATCH WHERE YOU’RE GOING MAN!!”

when he looks at you, he takes off his hands and wipes the sweat of his palms on the sides of his pants

“ar-are you okay?”

you just nodded. still kinda surprised by what happened

he sees you trembling; he was debating if he should give you a hug or not

(dammit all)

he wraps his arms around your head; you were the perfect height for him to put his head on top of yours (a plus bc he’s shorter than the other members)

“th-thanks..”

you were only shocked because he grabbed you out of no where

how was your heart suppose to live?

and then he hugs you?

whatta joke to be alive

he slowly lets you go and he takes a deep breathe...

“so... would you like to watch me busker again? and go get something to eat after?”

now you felt like you needed to go to the ER

“huh?”

Changbin lowers his hat to prevent you from seeing him blush

“I heard from Chim Chim.....”

(DAMMIT CHIM CHIM)

“OH. THAT. I’M JUST A FAN. AHAH. I MEAN. YOU PROBABLY HAVE A GF. THIS IS PROBABLY JUST FAN SERVICE. AHA” you were getting awkwardly delirious as you were going to walk off

he grabs your shoulders

“I DON’T HAVE A GF BUT I WOULD LIKE TO GET TO KNOW YOU ENOUGH FOR YOU TO BE MINE..”

you both hear someone whistle and clapping behind you guys

it was Chim Chim and Changbin’s sister

“Binnie is finally soft for someone other than his family and Felix..” his sister wipes a tear

and Chim Chim just goes over to take his hoodie back from you

“now you can’t wear my hoodies anymore, you have Binnie Binnie Changbinnie”

Chim Chim and Changbin’s sister childishly run away saying something like, “this happened because we made it happen, let’s go drink to celebrate”

they just left you and Binnie blushing in the darkness with only the street lamp shining over you

“s-so buskering when?” you asked without making eye contact with him

he awkwardly takes off his hoodie to give to you, “uh.. tomorrow?”

“oh-okay I’ll g-go..” you stuttered as you let him put it over you

hopefully tomorrow you guys will jump over the stuttering stage and into the lovey-dovey stage

My thoughts on “The Disaster Artist”

Oh, hai Tumblr

I won’t lie, I originally planned to review The Room before writing my reaction to the Disaster Artist. The more I thought about it, though, the more I didn’t feel I could do so, seriously. We all know it’s a bad movie. We know it’s quite possibly the worst movie ever made in the history of bad movies. We also know it stands apart from other bad films, in that it’s so bad it’s actually entertaining. Enjoyable. Dare I say “classic?” It’s the kind of movie you laugh and cringe and come away from quoting the rest of the night. The kind of movie you go into knowing full-well how awful it is and enjoying yourself, anyway.

I’ve seen a lot of bad movies, and The Room may very well be the only one I came away from with a smile on my face and laughter in my heart. I’d heard about and seen clips from it over the last couple of years, but I didn’t expect the full experience to be so…what it was. I’d honestly watch it again, I would. It’s something you want to share with others and be a part of, yourself. I joked with my friends that it might very well be “the Eighth Wonder of the World” but there is some loose-knit truth in that. It is a wonder. Fourteen years and still, people flock to it. They probably always will.

Where to begin my thoughts on The Disaster Artist. I was really impressed. I didn’t know what to expect going in—most everyone these days knows of Tommy Wiseau and his disasterpiece, The Room. If they haven’t seen it, they’ve at least heard of it, and if they haven’t heard of it, then they probably know someone who does.

There were so so many ways this movie could have gone wrong—everything from the humor to the narrative to Wiseau’s portrayal. I haven’t seen James Franco in a movie for some time, and I go up and down with his performances. I was a bit nervous when I heard he’d be portraying Wiseau, but the trailer looked promising (and admittedly I do find Franco attractive) so I figured I’d at least give him the benefit of doubt. Plus, I really wanted to see both Franco brothers on-screen, together. They didn’t disappoint! Nor did they read on-screen as brothers at all. Which is something I wondered about—if an audience member going into a movie knowing the co-stars were siblings would see them as such, regardless of the role. I didn’t, and I’m really fortunate I didn’t because these two gave quite the performance. Especially James.

Don’t get me wrong, Dave did a fantastic job as well; I genuinely felt his empathy and frustration towards his relationship with Wiseau and his career and the chaotic whirlwind around him. I’ve never read The Disaster Artist but I am definitely thinking about doing so, now.

James though, wow. I’ve never seen him in a role like this, ever. The dedication and commitment to this performance and this man practically oozed from him on-screen. He didn’t entirely look like Tommy Wiseau but he didn’t have to; everything else was spot-on. Biopics (can I call this a biopic?) can be tricky things: sometimes you feel for the person from whom the characters draw inspiration, sometimes you don’t. Sometimes you understand their pain and passion, sometimes you don’t. This movie, however? I really felt for both Wiseau and Sestero. They read like real people chasing after dreams they didn’t quite know how to reach but wanted to, desperately. That’s a feeling I myself know well and I was pleasantly surprised by how strongly that part of me resonated with the film. Nothing felt cliché or threadbare; it was all very real…and real is not something I see often from Hollywood, these days. I mean, the first trailer on its own looked promising but trailers can be so deceiving, I didn’t want to get my hopes up beyond a certain point.

Thinking about it, I’m wondering if I in part felt that passion from the film because Franco’s own bled into it. From what I’ve seen, he was pretty invested in adapting not only the book but telling Wiseau’s story. If that was the case, it worked. It worked really well (what is that called? Method acting? Haha…)

This movie also had a fair amount of humor sprinkled in through the drama, particularly scenes involving filming The Room. Now, that could be because I’d just watched the movie for the first time, before, so everything was fresh in my head and the jokes and concerns from the “crew” as Wiseau dragged them through the process reflected thoughts my friends and I shared while watching it. I can’t tell you how hard we all laughed during the “sex scenes.” Or, of course, the scene in the trailer.

I want to give a shout out to Seth Rogan, here. While not a major character in the film (I’d say more like “moderate”), nor in the most comedic role I’ve ever seen, he managed to be quite funny. Maybe that stems from the environment happening around him, the grounded and skeptic “wtf” voice pinned against Wiseau’s erratic eccentricities.

Also, I had no idea Efron was in the movie. At all. Not until I saw him out of character costume did I realize I’d witnessed him threatening the hell out of “Denny.” Honestly, I really loved how many recognizable actors played such small roles compared to what I usually see them in. This is especially true for the opening of the film.

I’m sure the actors featured received some pointers from Franco/the screenwriter; the way it was shot and how they spoke indicated memorized lines as opposed to interview response. That said, I’d like to think there was some individual honesty and truth in their introduction. I really do think it was the perfect opening, not only to The Room and Tommy Wiseau but the impact they both made. It may not seem like it at first but step back and think about this: how many bad movies gain such infamous status among superstars/well known Hollywood personas? Aesthetically, the scene was lovely as well. Sometimes all you need is flat lighting and a black backdrop to garner attention. An interesting choice, too, to go the ‘non-fiction’ route; normally I only see that in documentaries. I definitely think it added to the film as opposed to hurt it. I will say at first I wasn’t sure if these actors were playing characters or not—I figured by the time Kevin Smith showed up, they weren’t (super glad to see him included, by the way. He would be the kind of guy to talk to about a movie like this!)

Also loved the throwback to Malcolm in the Middle and Bryan Cranston. I know it was in there for a reason but the nostalgic in me still associates Cranston with that show. He’ll always be Hal to me and it was kind of nice to see, on-screen…even if it was a source of conflict for Dave/Greg and a could-have-been turning point in his own career. That hurt, that scene. I wanted so badly for Greg to take that chance, as someone who is very self-motivated and ambitious and can, at times, feel anchored by certain relationships. That said, I understand loyalty to friends and how tough it can be on the heart. On the one hand, you feel for them, maybe even hurt for them. On the other...you see the disaster before the train derails and it’s so hard not to leap off the tracks. I admire Greg’s decision, I do. It shows what kind of guy he is, I think, and more importantly, what kind of friend. I couldn’t help but wonder what his life might be life if he had taken that job…if he’s happy, being a part of this legacy or if there’s something more he wanted, out of reach, because.

Jumping tone for a minute here, my favorite part of the movie by far was the shot-for-shot remake scenes of The Room. Not only were the lines on par, but costume and direction, down to the smallest gesture: like heads tilting back or the way a character smiled. Most of these scenes weren’t even part of the narrative—they weren’t included during the “screening” part of the movie. You’ve really got to love something to take that much time and effort, and pay such attention to detail.

Maybe it’s just me but I feel all of this really speaks to not only the impression The Room has made on the world but also Wiseau’s own self-view. Like…that he marches to his own beat, or seems to, and these actors, however famous they are, aren’t untouchable. He can be like them and achieve what they did. Which is funny because—and I was talking about this to my friends—he kind of did. Everything in the movie, what he said and aspired to be, as Franco or otherwise, came true. He did achieve his dream, and his movie put him on an unforgettable map. Hollywood actors watch and talk about The Room (from the interviews I’ve seen, anyway.) It’s become a phenomena, a movie so bad it’s actually good; even I’d watch it again and I can’t say that about any other bad movies I’ve seen.

One last thing: make sure you stay until the end of the credits. If you haven’t heard why, just take my word for it~

Hi! So, i saw you having tarot. Would you mind sharing how you started readings (if you do your own) and how I could approach myself to this matter? It's all very very new to me! Thanks a lot :)

@mayihaveyourdesert Hi! Tarot is actually a huge part of my life tbh, it’s my main writing inspiration and definitely my main focusing tool. I’m not sure that I’m the right person to ask about starting out because I have a very personal approach to tarot that may or may not be what you’re looking for! Right off the bat, I’ll tell you that I’m not a spiritual person, so if you’re looking for tips for starting out from a spiritual standpoint, I unfortunately won’t be much help in that category. (Maybe someone can comment who does approach it from that angle and who would be willing to help, though!!) I’ll break down my own approach within two categories.1. Based on Symbolism2. Non Fate-Oriented1. BASED ON SYMBOLISM— Choose your deck(s) for you! My favorite thing about tarot is the beautiful imagery and symbolism, and I think it’s really important to consider this when acquiring your first deck. There are a metric sh*t-ton of options when it comes to tarot, and each deck can be a bit like learning a new language (sometimes literally, one of my favorite decks is in Italian). Tarot is personal, and you’re going to get a lot more meaning out of it if you enjoy and connect with your cards. Do some research, compare decks! My personal favorites are the classic Rider Waite deck, the gorgeous & lush Ancient Italian deck, and the minimalist-yet-somehow-still-primordial Golden Thread deck (which comes with an amazing app that is actually free even without the deck.)— Get to know your cards. Having a working knowledge of the meanings of each card is a great jumping-off point, whether you use the booklet that often comes with the cards or do individual research. This may be an unpopular opinion, but don’t even be afraid to modify them if you feel the urge (more on this in the next paragraph, but for one example, I hand-gilded the edge of one of my decks to make it feel more personal.)— Don’t let gained knowledge of the cards obscure gained meaning. Now that I’ve told you to learn the cards, I’m going to tell you to un-learn them, at least sometimes. A lot of books and websites will tell you very specific things about cards, everything from “The Emperor represents an earthly fatherly influence” to “The Queen of Cups is a blonde woman whom you have yet to meet who loves reading Calvin & Hobbes comics but only during the month of April.” This is all well and good, especially when you’re starting out! I even have Whitcomb’s 600 page Magician’s Companion textbook because I love fun correspondences so much. BUT as you go on, cards may take on new meanings. Let them!! If you start feeling like a certain card represents you, or a particular part of your life, allow that to happen. And tracking that progress is a great way of looking at personal growth and your life, actually. Making a non-linear journal (or grimoire) is helpful: One page per card, add thoughts or conceptual meanings to them as you think of them, quotes, book characters they remind you of…I’ve gotten so far as to know that one particular card is the main character of my book series, and I carefully replaced the word Temperance with Alchemy on one of my decks. And, just as you allow the traditional cards to take on personal meanings, allow your given meanings to rearrange. Finding new connections is so fun, like the moment when you realize that you admire the same qualities in your best friend and your favorite quote. Try to recognize when you are holding on to old influences and work on letting go.2. NON-FATE ORIENTED— Your fate is yours. You see what you want to see. My personal view is that tarot is about the past but mostly about now. You are the one who has to use that knowledge of yourself to look to the future. Ue the symbolism to ask: what influences are in my life? What am I seeing in these cards, and what is that saying about my subconscious focus and desires? For instance, if you’re trying to meditate on whether to move to Boulder or San Diego and you keep picking out mountain/forest imagery even though the sea is right there as well, that tells you something. Listen to yourself, first and always.— On that note, I don’t use reversals. Reversals are different readings of the cards should they appear upside down when you draw them, often bestowed with the inverse or undesirable traits of the original card. Personally, reversals don’t really fit into my imagery-based fate-less approach, so I ignore them. I feel like they cast an unnecessary negative pall on my readings.— Don’t be afraid to draw clarifiers, and don’t take it too seriously! Clarifiers are extra cards that are useful if one (or multiple) card in your reading is making you say “wot in the ever-loving tarnation…..” or even “damn that’s scary, what can I do to prevent that?” But I most commonly draw clarifiers when I see something I really love and I’m thinking “okay, how do I get from where I am now to that?” Pick a goal card for yourself, once you learn the meanings. Are you aiming for The Moon, mysterious artistry and wildest dreams? The Sun, light and truth and warmth? The Hermit, old guy alone with a lantern and maybe a cat or twenty at home who really knows but he’s got a sweet cloak? (Jk but rlly….I got him recently for myself and I was like yeah honestly I’m ready, bring to me the Lantern of Solitude). In this vein, I like to remember that there are no bad cards, because to me, none of the cards represent a definite future. TO WRAP UP! Hopefully that was at all helpful haha. I’m sure many people heartily disagree with one or all of my views on this, but there they are. Tarot is a lot like writing: You have to know the rules to break them effectively. The rules in this case are the time-honored meanings of the cards and the process of reading them for yourself and others. Try things out, read what you can and read more when it interests you, don’t be afraid to change your mind, take notes, try to put out as much positive force into the world as you can! Have fun! Oh, also, last advice: rope your best friend into learning, too. Being the only one who reads tarot at parties makes you surprisingly popular but sometimes u just want fresh insights on yourself as well tbh.

Hi Guys, you know it is so inspiring to read about young girls and women being successful in areas of their life, I always find myself reading about them or watching movies & films about them.I absolutely love to see people over coming challenges and having the power to over those challenges. The era we are in guys is a powerful time for us.Ladies we are taking on the business world, the fashion world, and the world of politics with many more areas which inspires me. The stories of the people who are spear heading these movement are inspirational. Let me share 2 short stories with you guys.These 2 stories I have shared before I have written about them and keep find myself drawing inspiration from them. The 2 girls are on another level enjoy. Daisy-May Demetre is a little beautiful 9 year old girl from Birmingham England who walks the fashion runways of the world in her blades. Daisy is a double leg amputee model and has with such brands as Nike, River Island and famous fashion designers.This little powerhouse shows us all, no matter walk if you have the ability walk talk and proud of who you are. Daisy has is managed by this modelling agency if you would like to have her model your fashion brand Kids London Model Management Ailbhe and Izzy Keane of Izzy Wheels

Their Story “Izzy Wheels is a Dublin based brand founded by Irish sisters Ailbhe (pronounced Alva) and Izzy Keane. The idea was inspired by Izzy who was born with Spina Bifida and is paralyzed from her waist down. We also love the fact she’s cool with her body and knows her weight fluctuates which inspired her to create her fashion line Savage X Fenty which will someday be worth billions of dollars.And yes girls I mention money because its ok for guys to be ambitious and free so I want that for us to, so let take it from the top with Rihanna’s Business Bio below.Rihanna is a Barbadian singer, fashion designer, actress, and businesswoman, who has been recognized for embracing various musical styles and reinventing her image throughout her career. Hey hey hey, so I've seen your lack of Bokutoo art (or haikyuu art in general) and at first I was going to comment on it, but then I saw your art theft post and I hope that won't have too much influence on your haikyuu art? Of corse I'm gonna let you post whatever you'd like to post, I just miss it a lot y'know :0

Well. Okay, I’ve talked about this a lot but I understand people don’t just read all my answers and it’s totally my fault for procrastinating on that faq page so let me just go through this again in an as clear way as possible?

I haven’t stopped drawing for hq! As a matter of fact in the last week alone I have posted one, two and three things for that fandom for a total of five portraits and a three panels comic

That said I understand with the rhythm I update this blog you might think “well, that isn’t much at all, is it?”, which, again, is my fault because - even though when compared to most art blogs’ update schedules eight drawing in one week is more than enough - I’m the one who set the rhythm here

The “problem” with hq is that all my favorite characters are currently absent from the manga and there’s no anime airing, while at the same time my other main fandom (bnha) has both an interesting arc going on in the manga AND an anime season airing right now - I hope you’ll understand if my interest at the moment is mostly focused there, that’s a continuous stream of inspiration I have coming my way

To add to that some parts of the Haikyuu!! fandom are being unrespectful of what I post (this includes reposting, treating my stuff as if it were templates for their own art instead of ship/character specific content, honestly unrespectful comments and tags under a lot of my main ships posts and so on) which, you’ll excuse me, but dampens the joy I get from posting art a lot

Moreover, the creative side of the hq fandom is being, at least for what concerns the zones I frequent, pretty damn quiet lately, so I can’t say I get much inspiration from there either

I haven’t stopped and I can’t see in my foreseeable future myself stopping posting stuff for haikyuu!!, and all things considered I don’t think I’m posting too little for it either? Art and inspiration aren’t things I want to force, if I started I would stop finding drawing enjoyable really damn fast and I can’t let that happen - please be understanding, I first and foremost draw for myself, I can’t help it if sometimes I get stuck on one fandom or another

Anon, my friend!!! I have drawn Daishou in the past! As a matter of fact the last one was just after he appeared again in chapter 251! I love that snake boy a lot, seeing him there made me really really happy haha

I still don’t think Kaminari is the traitor - as a matter of fact, I still don’t think the traitor is any of the kids. If that’s how it’ll turn out to be I’ll be sad about it, for sure, but right now I really, really don’t believe it. It’s true that the Kaminari-is-the-traitor theory is very cleverly worded and super convincing, but a lot of the things in it are really stretched out as far as I’m concerned

ie, taking the weird faces Horikoshi makes him make in the sketches and using them as proof that he’s got a double face? Too far out for me; his original design being that of a villain? Deku’s original design was villain-ish too, no one is calling him a traitor; taking the expression he made when Aizawa told him he could go to the camp and making it sound like he didn’t want to go? Might be believable as long as you don’t take into account the fact that he had just had a conversation with Midoriya in which he told him it was impossible Aizawa would let them go and that Midoriya was just being too optimistic, the “what the actual fuck is this” expression makes a lot more sense in that context; the fact that he makes clever quotes and uses a complex vocabulary used to say that he’s pretending to be stupid is unfair towards the very real possibility of him just not liking studying or thinking things through analytically but otherwise enjoying reading and being fairly intelligent in his own way?? - in the theory it’s also mentioned that it’s weird how during USJ he was worried about an electricity villain overcharging him as if that’s not perfectly normal, having an electricity quirk obviously doesn’t stop him from suffering overcharges, and later during the end of term exam they say it’s “weird” he refused to go all out with his qurik from the start, again, as if that weren’t a perfectly sensible decision in that context (you have to keep in mind that Kaminari is also studying to become an hero, him going “wait a second, maybe keeping on going stupid and putting myself out of commission every time I fight isn’t the right choice” is perfectly in line with him growing up and learning)

Now I don’t have the post open in front of me and it’s been a while since I’ve read it, but most of the theory as far as I get it is based on the idea that Kaminari can’t be lazy and an airhead and might talk without thinking now and again (the Stain comment), but at the same time be clever in his own ways, which just isn’t convincing for me. It’s taking this character’s three dimensionality and making it a plot-hole, why would you want to do that

(on a similar note, the Kirishima-is-the-traitor theory doesn’t convince me for the same kind of reason, it’s all based on the idea that he can’t just genuinely like Bakugou for who he is without having second reasons for it, which is just unfair and cuts too much off the personality of a really good, well written character)

As far as the new villain guy goes, I understand why most of the fandom might be weary and linking him to Kaminari, but we don’t know his color scheme nor his quirk and the pattern on his hair isn’t even a lightning bolt - Horikoshi has had to make up unique designs for a whole damn lot of characters, the fact that one random guy might have something similar to Kaminari isn’t really enough to make him his dad (again, it might turn out to be true, but in my opinion it’s still too early to make theories about it). Also, this guy is from the Eight Precepts. Weren’t you all trying to link Kaminari to the League of Villains? Isn’t the traitor supposedly tied with the League? How many people is this boy working for even

By the way, during the USJ attack the villains had informations they couldn’t have gotten from any of the kids aside from Midoriya (the “they told me All Might was getting weaker” comment) and tbh that’s enough for me to not believe any of the student is behind the informations leak, but all of this is just my opinion
