"I certainly appreciate you checking in on me, Gladio. But I assure you, I am fine. The people need us. We cannot bother ourselves with emotional trivialities. All we can do is hold out until Noct returns." Blindness had only temporarily encumbered him. Within the past five years, he had learned how to navigate the world.

He'd even developed a sixth sense as it were-- though he saw it as a blessing. Perhaps the kings of the past had imbued him with some sort of magic to help him navigate in return for his fealty.

"However-- feelings aside, I am thankful for your company again, however brief this visit may be." There was a softness to his voice, reserved for those who got to see behind the mask of the King's Hand. Gladio was someone he cared for dearly.

But he could not permit his feelings to get in the way of his work.

Once Noct was back and the world was saved-- maybe then he'd tell the swordsman how he'd felt all these years. How important his support had become. How his feelings had, unfortunately, grown beyond friendly fondness, despite his best efforts.

Which muse(s)s did you have the biggest inspiration for lately?

well! that is not a simple or short answer because it's usually a lot of them at once. for one, there's shiroe---in no small part due to having become mutuals with you, but i do also generally just tend to have a lot of inspo for shiroe at any given time. i've said this before but he's the muse i absolutely relate to the most out of any of them so he tends to always be pretty high-activity and easy to write for.

jet (avatar) is really up there right now, as well as striker (helluva), who are really kind of the same general character archetype in two different fonts. i've also been thinking a lot about five pebbles today in particular, and dandelion. then there's always cyran azerrad kapral, ankita culathene, aurilis ayeva, yanna lazaros, and finnegan twelve---well, they're all ocs of mine so it's only natural my mind would be on them pretty often but it IS on them specifically pretty often.

not necessarily on this blog, but i also think about mark twain ( @antisatiric ) more than i even really think about shiroe, which is a tall order! and i've been doing some pondering over ronny schiatto, dallas genoard, pamela mccall, nader schasschule, and laz smith ( @drfeelgreed ) lately too. i've been meaning to get back to those baccanos but i don't exactly have the audience required on either of the aforementioned blogs to really, um, run a functioning and active rp blog.

Why did you choose to make a multimuse?

people who have followed me for a long time will probably know this but when it comes to what characters i feel like writing at any given moment in time, i can be extremely flighty. i get really anxious only focusing on a few characters at a time and it's sort of always been that way with my writing.

it just ended up being the most comfortable for me to have a bunch of characters i wanted to write all in one place because of that. there have been some muses i've strategically placed on singlemuse blogs---twain over on antisatiric is one of them---because i knew they'd get more interactions that way, and sometimes it actually is very hard for me to see people who run singlemuse blogs getting a lot more attention for characters i *also* have just because they only write that character, but i'm really not capable of changing the things about me that make multimuses easier, so ...

multi questions. / eagerly accepting!

#it does feel like complaining over nothing sometimes but i did actually really struggle a little while ago when it comes to #the position of multimuses in the rpc #it can be hard to feel less valued than people who dedicate most of their energy to one or two muses when i know i love everyone i write!#i don't let it bother me as much anymore though.#out of character #ervaurem #tysm for the question(s) :)

Happy Birthday Takao

Shintarō had waited until he and Takao had gone up to the rooftop to eat their lunch together as was their usual habit. He hadn’t forgotten what day it was. Today was Takao’s birthday and the last day that had fallen under the sign of Scorpio. They had just sat down.

Shintarō had uncharacteristically been the one to break the silence first. “Happy Birthday Takao. Oho Asa’s lucky item for Scorpios today is a bird stuffed animal.” He had once told Takao that if people don’t obtain lucky items themselves then the effect would be nullified but he could make exceptions for that on people’s birthdays or in certain scenarios like if people personally didn’t care for lucky items, but he believed that people needed their lucky items. It was better to have some luck than none at all. He held out the bird plushie for Takao to take. “Oho Asa’s message for Scorpios today is it’s alright to have fun but you also need to work hard in other areas of your life.”

Shintarō’s voice practically lowered to a whisper as he continued speaking. “I will pedal the rear car today.” Mika had pestered him today saying that Takao always transported him on the rear car and that people should feel special on their birthdays.

“However, I will not pedal until we are a good distance away from the school nanodayo. Then I will trade places with you and pedal the rest of the way without any complaints.”

Shintarō pulled out his green cellphone and said, “Mika also sends you her wishes.” As he played the video recording for Takao to see, Mika was seated near the piano as she smiled and said "Happy Birthday Takao-san! I hope you have an awesome day today!” Then Mika started playing the "Happy Birthday" song on the piano. "She and I both took piano lessons when we were little, nanodayo."

wahaha... would you believe me if i said aside from souji, the only muses of yours i am in any way familiar with is your haikyuu!! muses ...

well, in any case, i WOULD like to continue interacting with souji. obviously with shiroe---i am organically just a big fan of their dynamic---but also i'd like to throw kanami and nyanta in there sometime as well! either during or after the tea party days. or both hahaha. in theory i do also have a log horizon oc called luminous but he's on the NA server, so. in theory if there's a way to make it work i wouldn't NOT want to throw him souji's way as well.

pretty much my only offering aside from that that i can make informed choices about is throwing seung-gil at akaashi or udai, though it's a little bit of a stretch since he's korean and would only ever really be in japan for things like competitions, and even then it's pretty limited especially since they don't share the same olympic season... if i still had some of my haikyuu muses i could have offered them up but alas.

that said i'm definitely not averse to interacting with characters i don't know! it's just that uh. well naturally it is difficult for me to actually throw suggestions for interactions out specifically for those characters lol.
