🥺 Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels?
I almost never write it in my fics, but hand kissing is literally the most precious interaction in the world and I will die defending it. On a similar note, definitely any time the guy says or thinks something about how much he absolutely adores his girlfriend/fiancée/wife always melts me, every time.
✍ Do you have a beta reader?
I don't have many consistent beta readers and also don't have them beta for most of my fics, but @silver-the-phoenix and @booksteaandtoomuchtv have beta'd my fics in the past. Usually my beta readers are just there to point out any obvious errors and to encourage me in some of the strong points of my writing, and I always appreciate it!

God has been gracious and abounding in mercy in giving me my writing abilities, and all the glory for my words goes to him. That being said, one major thing he's gifted me with is the ability to write good dialogue and poetic descriptions!
💋 First kiss fics. Love em or hate em?
Ah, the first kiss. It's flawless, really something- it's fearless. (that's for all you swifties out there 😉) That being said, my answer is love them. I've written at least three first kisses for Captain Swan alone (my favorite of these, by far, being Last Chance,) and I've done them for a couple other pairings as well. There's often this caught-off-guard "woah what am I doing is this really happening this is amazing" moment that I go feral for every single time.
🤩 Who is your favorite character to write?
Coming as a surprise to literally nobody, Killian Jones! There's a lot of sides to his personality to explore, and he's a really emotional, wordy, reflective, and over-dramatic character, which gets along famously with my writing style.
🎉 What leads you to consider a fic a success?
There's a lot of different aspects of success, a lot of little victories I can track. But I often think of success in a fic having a lot of reader engagement and excitement, (like whatever happened to Wishing it Wasn't that was absolutely insane and is definitely an outlier.) Sometimes I think it's when I genuinely enjoy coming back to a fic myself and find joy in it. Sometimes it's when I hit a certain word count. Really, though, success is when I actually get a fic finished!

I have a kink for apology/angst scenes haha, if couldn't already tell from my past works. It's just something that I feel everyone thrives for, especially myself, where the love interest apologizes for all their wrong doings and admits that they long for yn's forgiveness and love. Any scene with shinobu in my Gamer Giyu fic "The Perfect Date". I tried to make her as funny as possible in that one, and believe me, there were plenty more funny moments of her in my draft for that fic that I ended up having to cut out bcuz I felt it drew away from the plot too much. Oh how I wish to make a fic just for her lol

I like to make the love interests assholes sometimes, just to piss you guys off hehe, everytime they do something shitty that makes you hella sad, just know that it was me 😈

I don't unfortunately, I kinda just go read over it myself a couple times to check for mistakes but thats pretty much it. Ngl lie though, I am kinda interested in having someone else proofread for spelling mistakes and plot holes, any takers 👀 preferrably someone who's talented with that sort of thing haha
🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.
I always enjoy a good simile and metaphor here and there, not really sure about themes... love at first sight maybe? enemies to lovers? tsundere? I like sad fics as well that have happy endings, I will never, ever do a completely sad ending, i just don't like them and they leave a bad taste in my mouth

Dog, I dont even knooooooooooow, i think all of my fics are pretty straight forward and tame. Maybe Regrettable? All of my super crazy fics are still in production so we'll just wait and see, but for drafts rn, my "No Escape" (Sanemi x Reader) series is gonna be hella crazy, so just you wait

My fav thing about my writing is probably my dialogue, i think I write pretty appropriate dialogue. I try my damn hardest not to make the characters cringe and to make them relatable so I hope I've done a good job with that

Yup, for those who remember, I was working on a fic called Night and Day about Kyo x stepsister reader who was living with him. Originally I had him as a yandere, obsessive person with reader being uninterested in him and the fic being non-con, but I ended up scrapping the whole thing and changing it to be a fluff fic with reader living with kyo, reader having a crush on him, and slowly the two grow closer, with tons and tons of angst and sadness. The original outline for the non-con fic is on my patreon if anyone would like to see the poor thing, it had 8 chapters outlined too haha. what a waste.

Girl Imma talk about I'm Yours, my upcoming series ab alpha kyo and omega fem reader. I am sosososoosososossosos excited for this one yall have no idea. I've already mapped out the chapters and plot and everything. Im currently working on chapter two and just cant wait to get this shit done so i can post everything. I'm just excited to add to the very small pile of kny omegaverse fics and hopefully the series will inspire more abo creations for demon slayer. I would start off with headcannons, then short scenes, then one-shots, then multi-chapter. I went backwords from this list and i wish i didnt haha. theres nothing wrong with doing it out of that order of course, I just think its the best way to build up skill and get a hang of things. Also dont be afraid to take breaks! burning urself out will lead to depression babes

But there has been some drama ab the things I write ab that people find...distasteful. If you don't like what I write ab, leave, dont waste my time pretending to be a mutual, I write for me not you. Some of yall have some real mean girl mentalities and need to grow tf up, this isn't fucking highschool. Im glad for thei experience tho bcuz it's taught me how to deal with negative people better. On the more constructive side of things tho, if you see errors like plotholes, devices, or grammar in my fics, please tell me! I miss shit sometimes and appreciate the help to better my work

Just keep writing, not everything will be amazing, but everything can be edited and rewriten

Red felt a tap on his shoulder, who would be bothering him this late? He turned to none other than the person he had been avoiding.
Green smiled up at Red. Red looked around for an exit.
“You’ve been avoiding me.” He stated flatly, a finger poking Red’s chest.
“Maybe.” Red said, looking away. He attempted to make eye contact with any of his pokemon to get them to create a distraction.
“It’s okay, I know why.” Green said, Red stuck his hands in his pockets and looked down at the ground.
Instead of retreating, Green got closer right inside of Red’s personal space. He placed his hands on Red’s chest. Red was suddenly worried Green was going to push him. Was he angry? He wouldn’t have had any memories of the championship would he? Maybe he read up on it? Red knew he was physically stronger than Green, but Green had been hurt recently, and he really didn’t want to have to get into a fight with him tonight.
“I may not remember all of the events that took place to get us here, but there’s no way I could forget these feelings.” And with that Green crossed the short distance and pressed his lips to Red’s.
Wait, what?!
Green pulled away and looked up at Red through his long eyelashes. He leaned up and pressed another chaste kiss to Red’s lips.
“Sorry Red, I don’t remember anything about you except for how much I love you. I look at you and I get the warmest most wonderful feeling in my chest. I feel like I’m flying on the clouds when I think about you. I love you Red.” Green wrapped his arms around Red’s waist and laid his head against his chest.

probably kudos and hits, but really it's if i go back and reread it over and over again, everything i write is self indulgent so

nope i do it for fun, if it became a job it wouldn't be fun anymore, although i am published it's technical accounting writing, and i do eventually plan on getting my phd once princess is older, so maybe? But that writing is research not fiction lol

I'm a ridiculously fast typer, 34 words per minute is my average, 10k is a typical length, but my achilles heel is that i skip around a ton from fic to fic, so it may take months to get a fic done even though it's only 12k words
🤯 What's a genre you struggle with as a writer (ex. romance, action, etc.)?
I suck at writing battles, working on improving my smut skills though!
💔 Is there a fic of yours that broke your heart?
Yes, cried writing ode to my soulmate, Lost (cried a bunch on that one and ended up calling my cousin and we talked for a few hours because i miss him), then this one break up fic called RIP that i'm not sure how it's going to end, i usually write a happy ending but i might leave them broken up idk
💥 How do you feel about criticism?
I don't handle it well, i don't like it, it makes me not want to write even if it has good intentions, sometimes i'll read wips that stopped posting years ago, and i'll check out the comments on the last chapter and i'll see criticism and it pisses me off cause i think, 'hm did the author give up because of this shitty comment??'

I am so bad at tagging, like minimal tagging, i tag triggers but the rest i suck at, i don't do any of the cutesy ones

Believe it or not, no, I do not! I've never really asked nor beta read for anyone else, so it's pretty much a distant concept to me.

I absolutely love em'! I know they often say that likes and reblogs shouldn't matter– but they 100% do. I like writing requests and getting the feedback from the requester, whether they liked it or hated it, or even just from others who read my work and liked it and left nice comments. “Um yeah, spending the holidays at home for once. This may as well be Oz. Like, just call me Dorothy, far from Kansas,” She giggled nervously, embarrassing herself, while screaming cringe at the top of her lungs internally, and still trying to keep this conversation light and showing her insecurity as opposed to keeping it close to the collar. She wanted to make sure she was clear, so she added where the reference was from she was embarrassed and it was humiliating for her, “The Wizard of Oz, of course.”
Emma was a lot of things, but this took the cake, and saying the right thing isn't one of them. She hoped he’d say something, anything to change the subject or forget he even heard that.
He let out an awkward and frazzled little chuckle in an attempt to continue lightheartedly before it got any more weird and awkward. It hasn’t quite reached the peak just yet. “It’s nice to see you, Em, if you don’t mind if I call you that. Didn’t Dorothy if memory serves have an Auntie Em?”
“Yeah,” She answered delayed of course still trying to keep her composure, “You know what? It’s fine. You’ll have to excuse me I’m so jetlagged.” She grimaced uncomfortably knowing for the millionth time she’s made an ass of herself, why should she be surprised?
Emma found herself in disbelief at the verbal diarrhea permeating from her now closed mouth, acting like a little fourteen-year-old girl, at almost 34 years old, or the age she will be in June. She fakes it, and claims to try and pass as at least 29 forever. If anyone flatters her by IDing her, she’d claim she’s at least 20, she has a few years left of being fun. As far as family goes she’s the 'cool' aunt. She’s not so sure she would be that cool aunt for her goddaughter, Kat much longer if at all after their little argument earlier.

I do! Silvia ( @morbidlizard ) is my beta reader, my RP/roleplay buddy, and a damn fine artist, and also one of my closest friends, we've known each other for many years now and despite living at opposite ends of the earth (she's in Italy, I'm in Western Australia), we got to meet a few years ago, before the great panini.
Depending on how hard life is, Silvia can't always get to chapters before they're posted, and in those cases I edit along in the AO3 file instead once she's seen them. But that's only been during some truly rough years and hasn't been the case for a while! :D Together we don't always catch everything, I produce a truly huge amount of work each year for any one person to voluntarily deal with (I have offered to pay Silvia many times and she has refused every time), so sometimes typos slip by us. But any errors in my writing are always mine, and never hers.

If it's a fic just about a first kiss, I think that's personally a little boring.
But I write first kisses a fair bit in longer fics that also have a lot of other things in them. I'm just not sure if they count. I've never even heard of 'first kiss fics' before. “Welcome to Baumer Inn,” the young woman said to the completely drenched pair of people that approached her desk. “How may I help you?”
“We’d like a room,” Link said.
“Alright,” the young woman said, scanning a large book with all sorts of markings. “Double or single?”
Link said “Single” at the exact same time Zelda said “Double”, the accident making them look at each other and making the young woman look up from the book, her gaze alternating between them.
“There’s no use in taking a double if I’ll be keeping watch the whole time,” Link argued.
“That’s where you are wrong,” Zelda said in reply. “Because you won’t be keeping watch, you will be sleeping and resting in a bed.” Zelda looked to the receptionist and said. “A double, please.”
“It’s my job to protect you,” Link insisted, before also looking to the receptionist who, after crossing out what she thought their final answer was, now sat in wait for them to come to an agreement. “Put us down for a single.”
Zelda’s head shot to Link, her hands on her hips.
“Who among us is royalty?” She asked with a brooding frustration.
“Is it not me?” Link asked rhetorically and quite sarcastically.
Zelda straightened her arms and balled her fists.
“You absolute…” Link raised a brow as she sputtered through her anger. “Disrespectful...ill-mannered...sea urchin!”
“Sea urchin, huh?” Link asked rhetorically.
“Are you sure you guys don’t want to agree on the single?” the receptionist said, interrupting Zelda’s inhale. “Seems like all you need is to pound things out.”
Zelda widened her eyes at what she just heard, and Link reacted similarly, his mouth popped open at just the insinuation. He cleared his throat and pulled rupees from his pouch that he tossed onto the desk.
“The double will do fine.”
“As you wish,” the young woman said, handing Link the key, “room twelve.”
Link nodded and began to walk up the wooden stairs. They kept silent until the door latched close behind them.

I try to incorporate imagery bit sometimes I get so lost in the dialogue I forget! I definitely incorporate a lot of romance and squabbling about misunderstandings. I also put my characters through a lot of trauma and difficult decisions to inspire empathy and deep thought, respectively, in my readers.

Yes! Many of my Zelda Dungeon friends as well as my parents and close friends. Also some of my cousins. I used to be a lot more ashamed of it but now I feel like everyone knows.

💲 Would you ever open commissions?
I want my content to be accessible to everyone with an internet connection. A lot of stupid things are behind a paywall and I want my content to serve as art, education, and entertainment. Additionally, writing fanfiction is enough of a legal grey area without getting money involved.
🏆 What's your most popular fic?
In Calamity’s Grasp has the most activity but I can’t take full credit or even any more than a third of the credit on that because my co-authors @pastelsandpining and @aurathian ABSOLUTELY KILLED IT.
The next one after that is Honesty

🤗 What advice would you give to new fanfic writers that are just getting started?
Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and get hurt, it’s part of it! And never let anyone else (even yourself) stifle the eternities that your imagination can stretch. Oh and don’t be too hard on yourself when you hit snags or get burnt out! Also drink water! Also I love you!

Link was just sitting at the shore, near a pitched tent and a campfire, looking out at how the sun dawned. Grante stared a tad before he braved walking forward.
“I didn’t know I was selling clothes to the Hero of Hyrule,” Grante said once he got close enough for Link to hear him, the half-Sheikah half-Hylian crossing his arms. Link looked behind him to see who it was, and was seemingly unimpressed, turning back to face the sea.
“I’d prefer not to be called that,” was all Link said.
