Sorry that I'm in love with Alee Destan. Sorry I'm in love with the way he hides behind walls of brick and stone because he can't atone for or even face the trauma he's experienced, he's caused. I'm in love with the way he holds the gun. I'm in love with the way he held it to a mirror for years before finally accepting that there's no gun in the reflection.
Sorry I'm in love with the way he learns to point it at others, steady hand, no soul behind his eyes. But guns mean nothing to him and that's part of why I love him. He wields daggers carved with the initials of his loved ones, with his initials. They're blue and intricate and spark within his grasp.
I'm in love with the way he makes the hard choices.
Split second decisions that erase entire storylines.
A murder to protect a loved one who can't even die. Blood on his hands in the literal sense. And I love the way he throws up immediately because he is Not a killer. No matter what he told himself up to this point.
Poisons that surpass destiny's plan. I love the way anger drives him. That the pain and the guilt pushes him to commit the unthinkable because it's all he can do to try and feel better.
I love the way it doesn't make him feel better.
The Fates' Chosen One. The Prophet of Destiny. The Waterbearer of Sorcery.
And their killer. Because he can stop anyone they want him to when normal means don't work.
And I love the way he's a healer. Not a killer. Even if it's necessary. Even if it's the right thing to do. Steady hand, no soul. I love the way he steals lives, closes books.
And he goes home to hold the hands of the children he raised who age beyond him. Never seeing a day of age in all their time. And I love the way that this is his atonement.

Ohm/Ajax will probably always be my guilty pleasure ship. I am a HUGE HUGE Sulien/Ajax truther don't get me wrong. But Ohm and Ajax have various fun dynamics to me. Especially in GI but in general too. I have.. so so many drafts/wips and old ass fics from either when Ohm was an only child(lmao) or when I was feeling particularly Weirdge.
They get along like a house on fire though.

what type of saddle does emil typically use. and does he have a preference.
ummm there's three main types, being english, western, and sidesaddle (also like. bareback/no saddle. this is an option.)
under the category of english saddles, i'd guess relevant? saddles wld be eventing (general purpose, you could probably do just about anything english saddles are designed to do if you tried hard enough), dressage (flatwork. idk how to describe dressage other than Specific Riding. priority on being able to Feel The Horse, less padding.) jumping (what it says on the box. make it as easy as possible. also used for cross country and hunt seat/foxhunting), andendurance (priority on comfort. lots of padding. sometimes looks western w/o a horn or general purpose w more padding. usually for long distance.)
for western saddles, they're typically heavier and designed to be more comfortable (for both the horse and the rider). because they're generally used for long periods of time. general (u can do j abt anything in these, but again it's not specific), roping saddles (pretty heavy, good for stability and movement. has a lower cantle and a very sturdy horn👍), barrel racing (light, deep seat, very secure to keep u in place. good for sprinting and quick turns. you can do trail riding in these but not roping.), or like trail saddles (like western endurance saddles. they're comfortable w a lot of padding. they can also j. not have a pommel. but they're still a bit different from english saddles for a variety of reasons)
there's also side saddles but idk how relevant this wld be. for sidesaddle. 👍
idk what breed ur preferring but ik off the top of my head ardennes are good for rough or hilly terrain. ? they're a pretty old breed and are closely related to belgian drafts if it means anything to u. they're a working breed and were used historically as war and artillery horses. good for cold weather. they're more popular in europe afaik but they're generally a pretty rare breed. pretty short with a long gait, 15-16 hands (5-5'4" at the shoulders), but they weigh a lot for their size. very beautiful very powerful

He'd prefer the english saddle because he's not usually on his horse for long periods of time. However, he's also the type of person to be very conscious of the horse itself, and if there came a time where a different saddle may be more appropriate(ie a western for long distance), then he'll switch the saddle.
for a western saddle he'd probably have the roping saddle tbh
and he'd have a variety of english saddles depending on what he needs at the moment.
emil isn't a big fan of bareback, but he'll manage. it just isn't comfortable. this would be an emergency type situation though.
and iirc I think we decided on a black ardenne :D

Emil acknowledges the existence of Gods but he doesn't believe in them. To believe in something means you put hope or stock into them. He doesn't. He knows they're there, but.. How can he believe in a greater being that allows such suffering?
robin hood: did your oc have any childhood heroes, real or fictional? do they still look up to them now? why?
His grandmother, Juliette Baudelaire. Before her.. Accident.. She always felt like the only one who really believed in him. He always admired her. He still does.
kamu susano-o: what's your oc's true passion? how do they pursue it? how did they acquire it? at what cost does it come?
Writing! He wanted to be a writer, make mystery novels. He still writes of all the places he's seen, but he'll probably never publish anything. Still, years reading has led to a healthy love of writing.
adam kadmon: does your oc yearn for control? why? of what? do they have it, could they ever have it? should they be in control?
Yeah, of course. When you're shaped after somebody else, you search so desperately for yourself. And you exert control where you can because its all you can do. Emil just wants to be in control of his own life. But it never quite feels like he can be.
johanna: what are your oc's religious beliefs, if they have any? are these beliefs commonplace where they live? do they practice this religion?
Katsumi prays to the spirits, asks for their protection. Its kind of hard, because his beliefs don't exactly align with Shinto, but they aren't so blatantly different? Anyways, the whole belief system is pretty commonplace in Japan from my understanding.

Its pretty low. Katsumi knows he isn't what he was supposed to be. And that does a number on somebody.
seiten taisei: does your oc feel indebted to anyone? who? could they ever pay that debt back? do they really have to?
The spirits who protected him, to some degree Masuyo too. He doesn't think he'll ever be able to pay back the debt of them protecting him. But he doesn't need to anyway, not that he knows.
carmen: what's your oc's relationship with their own body, in general? do they have any true confidence in their own appearance?
Katsumi is a shapeshifter. But there's still a disconnect to the body he was born with. He's not dysphoric, necessarily. But it doesn't quite fit the way its supposed to. But he promised to keep his form, a promise he made to himself. To retain whatever he can of himself. So he keeps this body. But there's a reason he wears so many fuckin layers.

Katsumi has no tie to the religions of Teyvat. He ignores them. Gods are real, so what. He's respectful, but he doesn't care. Kinda what happens when you get dumped into Enkanomiya.

Relatively low here, as well. He knows hes feared by some people, and he knows hes done something wrong. But he can't even have the dignity to remember? How is he supposed to have any self esteem with those parameters...

Masuyo and Eiji! Masuyo is keeping him alive, he.. Recognizes that more here than in Amant. And he knows he doesn't have to pay back that debt, but he feels like he should. Somehow. And with Eiji, well, Eiji taught him so many wonderful things, made him feel so many wonderful things. And his idea of paying that back, is giving Eiji the same.

Similar to Amant, but a bit better. His body is his body, he still made those promises to himself. But here, his body is loved by another. both physically and emotionally. And through the lens of another, he's able to love it more.

oh god okay. if something i write here contradicts something I wrote in dms, this is now canon. since its public- uhm. (this is how madoka ended up from 18 to 24 LOL)

arsene: has your oc ever been wronged by those around them? how bad was it? does it still affect them?
Madoka considers what they've gone through to be "not that bad". They try not to think about how isolation from their peers led to their current lifestyle. They try not to think about how the expectations from their family has isolated them. They try not to think about the small acts of injustice a person may suffer day to day. Its the whispers, the "not enough", the way they differ from those around them. How could it not affect them?
zorro: does your oc remember their past, if they have one? do they miss it? how do they feel about it?
As a result of their parents often dismissing them and what they had to say, Madoka has suffered a disconnect between reality and how they see the world. They remember their past in the way you might remember snippets of a show or a movie. They aren't sure whats real, or made up, or just a dream.
captain kidd: does your oc have any scars or injuries? where do they come from? have they healed? how do they feel about them?
They have a scar on their right eyebrow from where their eyebrow piercing got ripped out. they also have a bunch of tiny scars all over their fingers and palms from mishandling cooking utensils. They don't really care about them.
carmen: what's your oc's relationship with their own body, in general? do they have any true confidence in their own appearance?
Madoka doesn't see their body as theirs. Its just a vessel, something they pilot. They are completely indifferent to something that doesn't belong to them.
goemon: is your oc partial to the arts? which ones? do they actually partake in them? do they see meaning in them?
they play a lot of video games and they write poetry! they understand the arts, and they see the necessity in them. But to Madoka, its just a way to pass the time.

Madoka isn't religious? I never really thought about it. I don't think they care that much. They'd probably be polytheist after all this shit though

Incredibly. Madoka is really only second to Futaba but even then they could be on par if Madoka wasn't busy with their studies. And no, it isn't appreciated.
milady: does your oc come from wealth, poverty, or somewhere in between? what's their current situation with wealth? how'd their economic upbringing affect their current personality?
Like lower middle class? They're the first one in their family to get into a good university. It definitely didn't help the expectations thing.

There was this upperclassman in their school that they always thought was so cool.. though at some point he just stopped coming to school so.. Madoka honestly wouldn't remember him anymore, which is kind of sad.

HATES THEM. They were never good at them and they have bad lungs.

They're currently studying bioforensics! They fucking hate academia, but they want to make a difference.

All things considered, they're doing okay. Again, they don't consider what they've been through to be that bad. They're not at any disadvantage. Nothing really matters.

Yes they do. They have to, especially at the end. Hope and resilience is important, it keeps people going.

All of the phantoms I think! They all helped Madoka come to terms with themself. But they don't see it as a debt to pay back. They know they don't have to.

Madoka always knew something was different about them. Gender, attraction, their body. They felt things were off, and they never really.. Experimented or explored that. Stunted growth (,: can't change what you don't really know

Helping others. Changing the world means something to them. Its why they're a tutor, they like helping others.. No matter how introverted and isolated they may be. It often comes at the cost of their own comfort though.

Its SO low. And it depends entirely on themself. Its a bad cycle they're stuck in.

Madoka's inability to reach out to others for help is what got them stuck where they were. They couldn't rely on anyone, on anything. It ate at them, some self inflicted guilt. Its really unfortunate.

Bloodlines don't mean anything to them. They'll make their OWN legacy. They don't even.. really talk to their parents anymore..
loki: does your oc believe in revenge? in retributive justice? in punishment? at what cost? for whom?
Yes. That's why they're so determined to set things right with the world. They know the justice system will just blame whoever so they have someone to blame. And that isn't right, not when those who are really hurting others are getting away with it.

Just themself.

Yes! Madoka wants control. That's why they're on their own. Its the only thing they can control, themself. Even if they don't quite feel real or there. They want to be the one holding the strings, please.
