What's been your craziest fandom experience?

it's gotta be the time when I was in the lounge at college and a friend said "I'm only nineteen" and I said "but my mind is older" and the guy playing pool by himself said "these new york city streets get colder, i shoulder..." and then he and i rapped the entirety of non-stop, much to my friend's bewilderment.

I’m not a big fan of science fiction

I Important Moments of Your Reading Life

That’s a very interesting question… I would say two important moments in my reading life was when I read The Lord of the Rings the first time and when I started reading fanfiction. For LOTR, I read them the first time after I saw Fellowship and Two Towers in theaters. I loved both movies so much that I couldn’t stand to see such wonderful movies and have no knowledge whatsoever of the source material. And then, of course, I was introduced to fanfiction in the spring of ‘16, and I’ve barely and only occasionally emerged from that rabbit hole since.

L Longest Book You've Read

Hmmmm… really not sure. I don’t pay attention to that kind of thing. I do know though, that The Mammoth Hunters by Jean M. Auel, Book 3 in The Earth’s Children series and the unabridged version of The Stand by Stephen King are both over 1000 pgs.

A Author You've Read The Most Books From

Probably Stephen King. I was introduced to his writing my freshman year in college and proceeded to devour everything he’d written. By the time our first child was born in ‘97, I’d read almost everything he’d written up to that point, somewhere in the neighborhood of 20-25 books.

N Number of Bookcases You Own

Well, we actually have an entire wall of built in bookcases in our den, but if we’re talking portable bookcases that will go with me if I ever move out of my house, 5.

She may not have known Violet for very long, but this kind of mistake will haunt her until the day she dies, more so than any mistake made in front of the team. Naotos in particular have a keen sense of memory, therefore, there’s no a chance in hell that Violet will forget this.

I need a moment just to process the AMAZING and INCREDIBLE fact that you have read A Year Without, reblogged it with tags pointing out some of the most fun parts I had in writing it AND pointing out the exact thing that I am trying so hard to show without telling, referred people to it AND connected it to a Taylor - who I believe is one of your favourite artists - song. Seriously, I am having a difficult time with a few middle chapters of the fic (I have already written a good bit of the ending) and this has stirred the muse. So, thank you.

I have this one idea for a fic in which Sabine and Ezra keep constantly, in their own cultures and love languages, confessing their love to each other, and the other, lacking their cultural understanding, just plain not getting it. Sabine keeps giving him weapons, muttering phrases in Mando'a that he doesn't understand, constantly in her own Mandalorian way saying she loves him. Ezra's always letting her use his lightsaber, he's following her into battle, he's being strangely cryptic in his silly Jedi way of telling her he loves her. They're both entirely oblivious to the whole of each other's constant confessions of affections. 🧡💜

🥺 Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels?

Tender moments. Real, emotional moments. And that can be in a character's head, between two characters, or more.

😈 Has there been a point in a story where you did something just to be playfully mean to your readers?

Playfully mean... Not quite sure what that means... @jrob64 would argue there wasn't anything playful about the mean things I've done in my fics...

The meanest I've ever been is in the fic Of Darkness, Vampires, and Soulmates. It's a tale of soulmates through the ages. In other words, reincarnation. But to be reincarnated, you have to die first, and there was quite a bit of that that was very mean and I got the loudest screams for.

🦅 Do you outline fics or fly by the seat of your pants?

Outline, outline, outline. I have to have a whole story in my head- beginning, middle, end- before I'll start making notes on it. Well, I take that back... I do have a couple of docs with a beginning and end, but no middle... but they're languishing anyway, so I don't really count them... But I won't start WRITING something unless I have a beginning, middle, and end. And since I usually make my notes way in advance of actually writing, I've got to have the outline so I know where I was planning to go with it.

🎉 What leads you to consider a fic a success?

Honestly? Posting it... that's not to say, however, that I don't care about likes, kudos, and reblogs. I VERY MUCH do. It's just that I have such a hard time writing in the first place, and as a rule, I don't post anything that isn't finished, that just getting it finished and out there, to me, is a HUGE accomplishment and I consider it a success.

💔 Is there a fic of yours that broke your heart?

I can't think of an entire fic that broke my heart, although I've def written some VERY heartbreaking scenes. Right, @jrob64 ?

I think I probably would decorate my lanterns! Knowing me, I’d probably decorate them with little paintings of sea life, like fish, dolphins, or even mermaids. Cute question, I liked this one!

This is probably my favorite ask list I've come across, thank you for these questions!!!

2: So, I don't have spotify (youtube music is my alternative), so I hope this are somewhat like spotify playlist names lol: When Your Life Goes To Hell Because Of One Damned Character (*cough* Cal *cough*). And for a bonus, some songs that would defiantly be on there: Clueless and Dramatic, What You Wanted, Hope and Dysfuncional You by Shinedown (yes this is my fave band), and Architechs by Rise Against!

17: Well, my shortest are long lost in some random document, so I'm gonna go with some of my more recent short ones: The Haunted Dream, I Wish You Knew I Loved You, and For Once A Normal Night (I wanted to only choose published fics for this so y'all would know what I was talking about). I'd say probably Delete ‘For Once A Normal Night’, Orphan ‘The Haunted Dream’ and Rewrite ‘I Wish You Knew I Loved You’ cause I really like the idea of it, but I could def be don't better.

24: TIME TO LIE, HAHA! (or do the most incorrect endings I can) I'll do this for my Ezra AU story and my novel cause, you know what, I just wanna do both lol.

My novel (The Sky Of No Stars): Everyone lives happily ever after and there is definitely no sadness and DEFINITLY no death or explosions (and they have a big party and all get super drunk together).

Ezra Earth AU: Ezra meets a dude named Cotton Eye Joe and they learn how to square dance together, in the company of a two-headed, taco-loving cow. Don't question this, as this is the truest statement yet to be said, I promise 🤣!
