So, for Bridgerton I have been thinking of it a lot for some reason. And I miss my girls.

As promised, I would write to you when we were settled and we very much are. Edwin, Kate and I have made a home in Chennai, where his family are from. They are the kindest, most welcoming people. I was afraid his mother would be like mine, but she hugged me tightly and welcomed me. I have felt more at home here than I did in Hertfordshire.

I am with child. That is why I am writing this letter, to share this most joyous news with you. I am hoping for a boy, but Edwin believes we will have another girl. Kate is excited - she follows me everywhere and would really like a sister. I visited her mother's grave yesterday, to pay my respects and let her know that I will take care of Kate and Edwin, but will not let them forget her. 

Do they ever give a name for Kate's and Edwina's father (whether show or book)? If not, the closest name idea that I can think of, which also holds sentiment, would simply be Edwin. Thoughts?

In family matters, it seems that the reason why Anthony entangled himself with the Sharma family is because he feels inadequate after everything of Daphne's season and his friendship with Simon taking a dive.

So he's giving Edwin some needed encouragement and advice but he's having trouble with Kate because it's Kate and he really doesn't know her.

hi @angel-starbeam! thanks so much for your Q :) Definitely, Anthony sees himself in Edwin (young, dead father, overwhelmed and clueless to his responsbilities) and he wants to help Edwin for selfish and selfless reasons, to distract himself from his current situation while also genuinely liking Edwin and wanting to help him. Also use this situation to right his wrongs with how he treated Daphne.

His issues 1000% are and will be talked about, chapter 2 was an introduction to them. I made it a dual POV to explore both of their trauma, feelings and issues!

He's having trouble with Kate because he is still learning you can't just control people and get them to do what you want, but he has absolutely no idea how to control Kate. He's never met anyone like Kate and he has absolutely no idea what to do and it's terrifying for him how drawn he is to her already, even if he isn't aware of it.

I've been thinking about gender swap au for all Bridgertons and their parents and honestly in Kanthony story absolutely nothing will changed because those two idiots are perfectly mirroring each other in almost every aspect of life.

I wouldn't be so sure. But then again you don't have to take my word for it I've been having writer's block since forever. And part of the reason I have writer's block is because I nit pick the little details a little bit too much.

And why do I say that a genderbent Kanthony wouldn't work that well? Because first of all Keith Sharma would be considered an eligible bachelor and they would be no reason for all the attention to be put on his younger brother who would be by Society standards the lesser prize.

But okay let's just say that Keith Sharma made Edwin Sharma his successor because for some reason Keith doesn't want to marry it could happen. There's no good way to translate Anthony's rake ways into a female because if female Anthony had flirted with as many men as male Anthony was known for flirting with women including the whole mistress thing. Antoinette Bridgerton would not have been considered a diamond or a good prospect for a gentleman like Edwin Sharma to marry.

But okay let's say that's the attractive of this story Keith Sharma doesn't want this well known flirt who is the daughter of a Viscount to get anywhere near his brother because Keith Sharma knows that Antoinette is just after Edwin for what exactly? To save her reputation Maybe? Because her Brother Dante gave her an ultimatum that she needs to marry or suffered the fate of a spinster? But why would Edwin be attracted to her? Is it the dowry thing?

Let's just say that Antoinette has a sizeable dowry and is looking to seduce Edwin Sharma into marriage because at least Edwin is kind and gullible and will allow her to keep with her affairs outside of marriage. That doesn't make sense to me either.... Let's try another venue

You know what dear followers I evidently don't have the creativity enough to follow trough with this line of thinking as you can see.

But I'm glad that there are people who do and I applaud them for it I'm more of the type of person that writes snippets more than full stories mostly because I have a Tendency to ride myself into a corner. And if it requires a lot of thinking I usually postpone it until another day because my sleep deprived mind only allows for so much of my headspace to be occupied by deep thought when it comes to writing

I think this ask is one of those that I postpone a lot because I didn't know how to answer it appropriately and I decided to just be honest and go with the truth which is what I'm going to do today with the rest of the asks in my inbox because I really want to open up my inbox again and I said that I would do it when I finished all the backlog of answers that I owe you

There were so, so many issues with this season, from the overall plot, to the pacing, to the tone, to the characters (yes, all of them). It's hard to even begin untangling them!

I can see what the were *trying* to do with these characters/story - but IMO, they didn't succeed.

My initial reaction after watching the season was *genuine confusion* and disappointment. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy people enjoyed it, but personally I was really *shocked* at what a ~mess~ it was?? There were so many things that didn't make any sense (and still don't). This is completely the fault of the writing, which was, sadly, very inconsistent throughout. (The writing was *BAD*, friends, I don't know what else to tell you 😬) But it was weakest (which is saying a lot, lol) with regards to the Sharma family. All three were both poorly written AND underwritten. Some things needed to be SPELLED out. Like the stuff with Kate was too subtle! You have to look really hard to see all the stuff happening with her under the surface. Too hard, imo.

Essentially, everything having to do with the Sharma women (and this also includes scenes with K and A) were obviously cut down in both the writing and editing process, to the point that what we see on the show is only semi-coherent. It's fine that the writers made changes (I don't even hate all of them), but the fact remains that they didn't do these characters justice. And I'm not talking about the book versions of these characters, I'm talking about the characters on the show itself. They created this complicated family dynamic (which is fine)- but they have so few scenes together that we never get to truly see or understand it. Yes, it is possible to string it together if you look closely, but IMO, you shouldn't have to dig so hard to understand what's going on. Kate, in particular, should have been given as much narrative space as Anthony (and probably more as she is a new character).

All of the characters needed more time, more space, more *conversations*, and maybe even some resolution?? Resolution for a lot of these characters was *necessary* especially in light of the complicated narrative direction of this story. The writers wanted to create maximum drama but they didn't want to actually write around the character ramifications or consequences of these plot changes. (And some of the resolutions we *were* given don't really make sense either, tbh). Instead, the show just rushes us straight to the HEA without looking back. Quite frankly the only salvageable thing about this season are Jonny and Simone's performances. They succeeded in spite of the writing, not because of it! If it wasn't for them this story wouldn't have held together at all.

Anywaaaaysss, I continue to be baffled by the choices made for the show this season and could obviously go on forever about them (and I have 😂), but I'll stop here for sanity. To summarize, it was all a jumbled mess for me. And that's that on that, lol.

Hello! Thank you for the ask, and so sorry for the late reply! This has been sitting in my ask box for way too long.

I agree with you. The Sharmas could have and should have been more prominent in their own story, especially if you claim that this season is about "sisterhood". Their dynamics should've been explored more deeply, they should have had more screen time, and I think they would've felt well rounded then. The show, it seems, doesn't know how to pick a lane.

This is most obvious with Edwina, who is given five different arcs simultaneously, so we get all these character inconsistencies. Is she a naive girl who falls in love with the idea of Anthony and being a Viscountess only to have her "dreams" crushed? Is she a young girl with the pressures of providing for her family on her and is ready and willing to do whatever it takes to get there? Is she both? Is she something else? At the end of the season, we don't know who Edwina is or who she has been all along, and it's all because the writing lets her down.

It's the same with Kate, who spends the first 6 episodes sacrificing herself for her family, episode 7 completely and absolutely lost in her feelings, and rushes to her HEA in episode 8 magically healed, both emotionally and physically. She is our leading lady, and we don't get to see the evolution from point A to point B.

When I watched the season for the first time, I kept asking myself, why does it feel like this is taking forever when Kate and Anthony are still not together, and there are only X episodes left? And the only way I can explain it is that it felt like they had written material for a longer season, but then they remembered they only had 8 episodes, so they condensed the last leg of the season into the last 2. There were times when the season dragged on forever, and yet, some plots needed more time to breathe.

The actors did a phenomenal job with what they were given. Both Simone and Jonny are brilliant in their roles, understand who their characters are, and know how to play them. They are the best part of this season, by far. Charithra is also great in her part and did the most with what she was given.

To summarise, it's not them, it's the writing.

I've been on a Bridgertons crave as of late, specifically in regards to the Sharmas, and it's making me want to write many fics as well. This one, I'm in debate of whether to continue or not, is a story that follows young Mary and her time not only during the season after being declared the Diamond, but also her meeting the love of her life (I call him Edwin). I'm nervous, as I've never written anything on here before 😭.

It had seemed like a lifetime ago had passed before her eyes, all in an instant when a hush fell over the crowd as the queen made her way forward. Brown eyes of Queen Charlotte, collected and poise as any young woman of her stature would be, pinned there gaze on the sole child, the sole daughter of the Sheffields, and proclaimed the title that would carry on for the rest of Mary's life (whether she knew it or not). The Diamond of the Ton. By the time Mary had come back to her senses, she was already enveloped in a wave of voices and jeers, congratulations and jealous sprouts, all nearly drowned out by mother's disposition.

It wasn't that her mother, Lady Sheffield, had ever been unkind to Mary. She was simply a mother who wanted the best for her daughter, Mary often reminded herself (even on days where the words seemed to hold no meaning). But Mary had often noted, to herself of course, that her mother, both of her parents really, had only shown true excitement, true happiness for their daughter when it brought them the attention of high society. Her mother's smile was blinding as she pulled her towards her father, Lord Sheffield, who stood conversing with another gentleman. He's handsome with a kind disposition, a gentle smile pulling on to his face when they are introduced. He is an Earl, but through the haze and fast paced movements around her, Mary cannot seem to focus on anything else.

The more she tries to speak, the more her parents intervene with overly boastful tones and tales that place her on a pedestal more than provide any influential pieces to who she is. Mary is thankful when her parents and the Earl are swept away as she quickly maneuvers to the sidelines. A part of her hoped to find Agatha, Lady Danbury, in a corner of the room but as she feels the gaze of other men interested in her favor or ladies seeking to be in her good graces, her heart beats so loudly that Mary fears it may break free from her chest.

The cool air from outside was welcomed greatly as Mary moved behind a column in hopes of hiding her presence. Her mother would surely have choice words to say if she were spotted here, especially unattended, but Mary could not stand in that room any longer. A small bed of doubt had begun to creep into her mind, holding sentiments of dread when thinking back to the title of the Diamond. Was it really worth it?

"Of course it is," she whispered harshly to herself, briefly looking over her shoulder in hopes of not drawing attention from any passersby. "Any young lady would kill to be in your shoes. Being the Diamond of the season is a gift that should not be questioned."

"That could be debated." A voice spoke through the darkness and Mary let out a startled cry, hand hovering over her chest in alarm. A man stood a few feet away, wearing an apologetic smile when he took note of Mary's tense stance. He had brown olive skin and black curls that hung slightly over his hairline. "My apologies, I did not mean to scare you."

Mary breathed deeply, willing her heart to return to a normal beat as she glanced back at the man. "It is quite alright. I fear the only thing that shall scare me is how much you may have heard."

The man smiled. "If I told you I heard nothing, would that ease your woes?" Upon the unimpressed look he received in response he continued. "All right then. How about this: I may have heard your conversation, but I do not plan on placing any childish remarks in response. Rather, perhaps I can offer you some advice, if that will be accepted."

"Advice?" Mary repeated, studying him cautiously. "You hardly know me, why interrupt whatever endeavors you may have to provide me guidance?"

"Because, and I hope that I do not come off too forward, it seems like being recognized as the Queen's Diamond may have been overwhelming for you. Not that you don't hide it well, but everyone needs a break from time to time from society." He gestured to himself. "Trust me, I would know. The more I come back here, the more I long to return home to India."

This brought a smile to Mary's face. "You have traveled a long way. I've heard tales, and it truly sounds like a wonderful place."

"It is," he bowed his head respectfully before continuing. "Forgive me, it seems as though I have forgotten to introduce myself. Miles Sharma, at your service."

Mary giggled softly, feeling a soft burn forming across the apples of her cheeks. "Do not be to hard on yourself, as I have forgotten myself too. Mary Sheffield, sir." Her mind traveled back to Miles's previous statement. "You don't believe it is unfitting of a young lady to question being the diamond of the season?"

Miles grunted softly. "Believe me when I say, Miss Sheffield, that I hold no obligation when it comes to presuming what a lady should and should not do." This received a look of awe from young Mary. "All that I will offer, however, is that it is perfectly normal to hold doubts during moments of anxiousness. I've had my fair share. Doesn't mean we aren't thankful for them, for they granted us."

"Some would kill to be in my place."

"That is true." Miles hummed in agreement. "But that does not also mean that some wouldn't do anything to be far from your position as possible. And, even so, it is human nature to have doubts. It only matters how we choose to bare them. Will you let them weigh you down, or will you conquer them, Miss Sheffield?"

Mary blinked in consideration, his words swirling in her mind and consuming her doubts with it. He must be some magic man, she had thought, because just by standing before him Mary had felt like she was an open book. And that didn't scare her. Finally, after a moment, she said. "Please, call me Mary." Perhaps that is not what she had wanted to say intentionally, but was pleased with it nonetheless as Miles Sharma smiled at her sweetly.

"Then, please, call me Miles."

Is Realme Watch T1 Worth?

Realme has been pretty quiet for some time now, with very few wearable launches in the past few months. Earlier this year, Reame launched a couple of wearables in the form of Realme Watch 2 and Realme Watch 2 Pro, which offered some really good upgrades over its predecessors. The Realme Watch 2 series came with a large colour display with touchscreen and supported over 100+ watch faces, 90 sports modes, blood oxygen, heart rate monitor, and smart AIoT control as well. It seems the Realme Watch T1 India launch coming up next.

According to well-known tipster Mukul Sharma, the Realme Watch T1 has now been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) database, which means that the company might launch the smartwatch in India in the coming weeks. The Realme Watch T1 has been spotted with the model number RMW2103 in the BIS listing. We do await any sort of official communication from the company though. It was already launched in China and got so many great reviews and now its reaching other parts of the world.

The Realme Watch T1 sports a 1.3-inch (416×416 pixels), circular AMOLED display with 325ppi pixel density and further comes with a 50 Hz global refresh rate, which helps in operating the smartwatch without much lags. It also comes with 4GB of internal storage which offers offline music playback support. Sensors onboard include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, heart rate sensor, and blood oxygen (SpO2) sensor. Realme Watch T1 offers real-time heart rate monitoring as well with continuous SpO2 monitoring and extensive sleep analysis data.

The watch has a Corning Gorilla Glass on top with up to 5ATM (50 metres) waterproofing available. It packs a 228mAh battery that is claimed to last up to 7 days. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0, inbuilt GPS, NFC, GLONASS, Galileo and Beidou. It also features 110 sports modes including badminton, elliptical, hiking, and walking among others. The watch is expected to arrive in the coming weeks with all three color options, Olive Green, Mint, and Black available at launch.

Coming Back To Point...

It's like not explaining the watch, I'm just pointing out what all factors make it special out of other watches in the same budget segment. First of all I loved the design - the circular face and the face collection. It supports dynamic colours at 50Hz refresh rate - That's pretty smooth. It's strap is kind of unique design and they placed their iconic tagline perfectly. It has got internal storage to store offline music - kiddos for that and may be it will be used for wear OS things. Don't know. It has GPS and NFC - I love both features at same wavelength. It is completely packed and expected price is 8000-10000 INR. Let's see how well it comes out actually realme has got all goodies for building an ecosystem and this is - Edwin K Jayesh.
