First, I LOVE Crowley and Aziraphale. LOVE THEM. I mean, just take a glance at my pfp. And my sketchbook. And my fanfics.

Second, I LOVE David Tennant and Michael Sheen. LOVE THEM. Probably more than is reasonably necessary, given when I mention "my favorite actor," my family and friends know exactly who I'm talking about (It's David, btw).

I'm also sort of new to the fandom on Tumblr, and I've become baffled by some of the comments I've seen about David and Michael and their friendship. I think it's adorable and lovely that they seem to have such a special bond after filming Good Omens, a bond that continues and has included their partners (partly out of necessity while filming Staged, but I think that only helped cement their friendships even further).

But what truly baffles me is the picking apart of every image that features David and Michael, especially when Anna and Georgia are included and when they aren't. I've seen fans wondering where Anna and Georgia are if they're not in the image with their partners (and what that could mean for their relationships with Michael and David), speculations on whether or not the women have been photoshopped in when they are in the pictures, cruel comments about Anna (especially) and Georgia (sometimes) about their age or their acting choices or their relationships with their partners or with each other (especially when they're being silly on Instagram) or . . .

Anyway, as someone with a spouse who works in a very busy, very public (in our city) profession and who is well respected in that profession, I feel for Anna and Georgia. It's as though there is this obsession or even downright desperation to make everything about how Michael and David feel about each other, to push Anna and Georgia out of the picture, literally and figuratively, forgetting there are families involved. As if Michael and David really are Aziraphale and Crowley and really feel for each other like Aziraphale and Crowley feel for each other. And who knows? Maybe they do?

But we don't truly know what goes on behind closed doors, and the comments and speculations are cruel towards Anna and Georgia, who have real life relationships with Michael and David.

They're all human. Celebrities, yes, but even celebrities deserve to have some privacy outside their jobs. And that's what Aziraphale and Crowley are at the end of the day. A job for Michael and David. A very enjoyable one, based on their interviews with each other, but afterwards, they have homes and families and lives outside the work.

David and Michael's relationship is theirs. Not the fandom's. Theirs.

Anna and Georgia's relationship is theirs.

Michael and Anna's relationship is theirs.

David and Georgia's relationship is theirs.

The relationship the four of them and their families have with each other is theirs. And they all deserve to not have people speculating on public forums about what's happening between them like some tabloid magazine. If they want us to know, they can tell us. Let them make that call for themselves.

In the meantime, we can write fanfics, make fanart, fantasize about who they truly are and how they truly feel. Delight in the images they share and the work they do together. Whatever. But I think it would be great if we could just let them live their private lives, too, and have as much normalcy they can get under the circumstances.

And, finally, Anna and Georgia seem like such lovely humans and deserve as much love and kindness and respect as is bestowed on their partners every single day in this fandom. Because they're human too, and all humans deserve that.

That's all I have to say about that.

Edited to add: I guess I'm not quite done, because someone in the comments said they were like me until they read/heard some of the things David, Michael, Georgia, and Anna have said, presumably about each other.

I'm not so online that I know everything they've put out there, but I do follow those in the group who have social media, and have watched/heard all kinds of interviews and convention Q&As.

My takeaway: Whatever they say about each other, whether it's Michael or David, or Georgia or Anna, I take it with a grain of salt. They're all actors. What we're seeing or hearing from them may not actually be their real personalities and feelings behind closed doors or even in their own heads. I think they just like to be snarky or silly about each other, because it makes the fans smile and swoon. And maybe they just enjoy being playful with each other and about each other. I mean, it's fun.

What's not fun is the fans reading too much into every single thing they do or say with each other and try to turn it into something that it probably isn't, especially at Anna and Georgia's expense.

I have an idea for a Au/Promt, The Stanley Parable is only one place, with only one Stanley and Narrator, but what if there were multiple Parables, the same Stanley Parable but with different outcomes and characters.

Like all of those Parables are different timelines, with endless possibilities, and all of those timelines are controlled by one single person, Stanley the Time keeper, I got this idea from a YouTube comment, where Stanley and the Settings were the same person, but I have a bit of a twist to it, Stanley the Time keeper came from the future, he knows the truth about the Parable, he saw all the endings, and the epilogue, he remembers everything, unlike the Stanley from the different timelines, he knows they exist.

Stanley the Time keeper or TK-Stanley, he was seen walking from inside Employee 425, the mysterious Stanley look alike. I know some of you might ask, does the Narrator know his existence? Well no, TK-Stanley hides himself from the Narrator, because if he knew TK-Stanley was there, TK-Stanley would have mostly been deleted.

Stanley the Time keeper intervenes with the timelines only a little bit, he mostly observes them, his biggest goal is to end the parable, to kill the Narrator once and for all, but how? You can't exactly kill someone that is only a voice with no body, right? Well, TK-Stanley has been hunting down where the Narrator's hideout is at, he knows that the Narrator has a physical body, but it's quite hard to find where he is, that is why TK-Stanley goes to each timeline, trying to find clues to where the Narrator could possibly be at.

TK-Stanley can't find the Narrator when the Player is around, the Player's existence is unknown, but it is easy to know when they're online, when the Player is online, all places outside the Parable will be prohibited, making it hard to finish TK-Stanley's goal, the only way for the Player to go offline is to let them finish the game, but that doesn't guarantee that they will leave.

So there's 4 main characters here.

Narrator

Stanley

Player

Stanley the Time keeper

The Player's goal is unknown since they don't communicate with anyone except for TK-Stanley, I won't exactly call it communicating since it's just TK-Stanley giving questions and the Player just answering it. The player is from the Real world, the same as the Narrator, but the Player isn't exactly in the Parable, they're using Stanley's body as a puppet, but the Player could not talk. The player stayed inside the Parable for just one person, the Narrator, i could say that the Player is amused by the Narrator's dialogue, which had kept them interested in the game for a long time.

The Player is not one person but multiple people at the same time, they are voices, but only one could move the body, they want to see all the choices they could make before the game is over, but what is stopping them, is it the body they're using not following their orders? Or is it the fact that the game is already over?

Four people with different goals, one is a voice that wants to continue his story, two is an employee who wants to escape, three is an observer who wants to kill one, and four who wants to play the game forever, will the four of them ever meet? will the Narrator find out who the Player is? Will Stanley get his body back??? Will the time keeper get his revenge???

This Prompt/Au is called "Time Parable Au"

In this Au, The Player could be in love with the Narrator, but the Narrator loves Stanley, but Stanley loves the bucket >:)

Btw I'm surprised theres no Bucket x Stanley fanfics out there, even Narrator x Narrator lol, I might write one myself ;)

Seeing their expression as they're happy that they're free from the clutches of that disgusting thing. But I know they will also cry, knowing that the first they used to be close to is gone. The first that they planned to have a life with, the first that they wanted to marry, the first that they trusted, the first that they gave their all to. And what did my darling get in return? Betrayal, lies, and abandonment. The same things that happened in my family. Over and over again. I've learned how feelings work in all those years in that house. One of them is the bond that you create with someone. But when you realize that the other person doesn't really love you, it's hard to let go. It's hard to break that bond that you created and have wanted to protect. It's confusing to me how feelings work. But I know what love is. The love I have for my darling~ I'll help them through this, through anything. I'll help them forget her, so they can be happy. And if anyone else does anything to hurt them, they'll receive the same fate that that pest will get. They'll get it, one way or another.

Maybe a 3? Like, I don't hate it but I'm not too fond of it either. I enjoy reading what I have written more often than not and I like putting [GERMAN WORD] or [TBD - WRITE SMTH ABOUT XY] ever so often while writing, but I don't enjoy changing the story afterwards much. I rarely change big things, usually only a scene or two and a few expressions. That said, I have to read every scene like 15 times before posting to scour for errors - and I am certain I am missing so many anyway.

Okay, let's go with fugitive Doctor/River. (Did you expect this by any chance? ;) )

You know this bit:

People have been speculating that she is talking about 13, which I get, definitely. But I want to argue that it is the superior interpretation that she would be talking about the fugitive Doctor (or another incarnation the Doctor has forgotten about but where would be the fun in that?). For the following reasons:

Vibes. This is the important point. River says 12 reminds her of the wife, so they have to be alike-ish. And I feel like 12 and the fugitive Doctor have a certain similarity in their demeanour. I think a big thing is how they hold themselves upright, actually, but also the whole Danny calling 12 an officer when the fugitive Doctor actually is one. Also the underlying kindness both of them possess and the end-life-crisis. They both lose all of their companions (Clara, Bill and Nardole vs Karvanista, Gat and Lee - one lives on but they can never see them again/forget about them, the other two die (or that's what they believe at least) and it is their fault) and I would argue they both are thinking about not regenerating this time. (I reckon the fugitive Doctor does not have a choice though.)

Loss. See the last point. The Doctor loses everything in fotj. Give her her wife, at least, please. Let River bring her some love and companionship <3 13 loses a lot as well but she's got Yaz. Which also leads us to:

Thasmin. Like, you know, if River had been tangibly in the 13th Doctor's life in any way, thasmin would have kissed. 100%. They didn't, so River didn't marry 13, simple as that.

Timelines. River does not know about more faces of the Doctor and well, 13 is older than 12. Of course, she could lie to her and yes, River gets married a little carelessly, so she might have married some John Smith!13. But if she met the fugitive Doctor - who seems very different from the timelord she knows and has no recollection of the Doctor's life, it would be easy for her to draw the conclusion that the Doctor is just some other person going by that name. And the fugitive Doctor would forget about her, of course. There's also a good possibility, River isn't actually married to the Doctor but to Ruth.

Time, Doctor's side. Honestly, 13 just doesn't have enough time to get married to River. Am I still hoping we will get those two on screen (or audio) together? Of course! But 13 is kinda busy, most of the time we either see her with the fam (who don't know River, see lotsd) or very occupied with stuff (like apocalypses or prison).

So, yeah, headcanon: The fugitive Doctor is River's second wife.

(The first is Cleopatra, right? Like Idk if there is canon confirmation but it feels true.)

❄️What's a dream theme/plot for a fic, and who would write it best? (also, which character would be involved)

Okay, when I read this question, I thought I wouldn't have any idea. But I have. Several. Lets start. Fics I would will into existence if I could:

Full-length Little VVomen.

I know we won't get the movie, but I'll gladly take it as a novel fic. Just for an explanation: Little VVomen is a parody trailer for a crossover of Louisa May Alcott's Little Women and the horror movie VVitch (I assume, I don't actually know VVitch). And it is glorious. Just -

- If it's about a girl, make sure she's married by the end. - Does it have to be to a man?

lives in my head rent free. I want a full story of Jo March saying gay rights, writing spells and sacrificing innocent men, pretty please <3 And I really, really want to know what's up with the Sean!devil.

Anyone write this please? (If I could choose, I'd ask Sean and Sinead who wrote the trailer, but I fear, I am already stretching the definition of fic here and using the authors of the og trailer probably defeats the purpose of this question.)

2. Strax fairytale!! written by you :)

Strax as a fairytale protagonist is SUCH an inspired idea and I am hoping very much that you will get round to it some day. But I can't really tell you anything about that that you don't know better yourself.

Or, maybe, I can: I have become kinda enarmoured with the 'Strax as the faithful Johannes' idea, I have always adored that tale, mainly for the tragedy and extremely strong friendship theme. Like, it is so clear that the king's most important relationship is his friendship to his servant. The princess is lovely but they barely know each other, yet. And I think there is SO much potential to improve the abduction scene and the ending. So, yeah, I have been turning that around in my head a bit.

But no matter which tale you will pick, if you ever write a fic for him, I am sure I will absolutely love it!

3. Heather is an integral part of s10 by @marvellouspinecone

You remember that genius powerpoint Pine made, I assume? Wouldn't it be spectacular if someone wrote that as a fic for me to read? I would choose Pine as the author because she understands the vision best, of course. But, like, I am so grateful already that the powerpoint exists for me to read and dream about :)

(Hi, Pine, not sure you want to read the whole post, but you might see the tag. This is not a request, please don't understand it as such, because that would be incredibly impudent on my part. This is just fancy ideas of mine and a praise to your vision <3)

4. Tenteen is played by Jo Martin by DiscipleOfBrad

So, I actually enjoyed the 60th anniversary (at least wild blue yonder, that much very much had a premise of my type of dw ep) but I still believe we could have done better than bringing back dt for the umpteenth time. (Listen, he is lovely, don't get me wrong, and I liked '14' too, but just - )

I have written a post about why I think making the fugitive Doctor's face return would have been a more interesting choice and I would still love to read it as a fic.

I don't really care whether it would be a simple retelling of the three eps with her instead of tenteen or a completely different tale. I WOULD like to see Donna though (because can you imagine?? Also that scene where Donna just acts like she knows the Doctor all of a sudden? When the Doctor doesn't even really know herself but feels like she should?) and if we could spring for some Karvanista on top, that'd be ace <3

I would give this one to DiscipleOfBrad because I trust them to write a convincing fugitive Doctor. I really enjoyed her in The Cul-de-Sac (which btw I can highly recommend if you'd like some soft thasmin and an intriguing premise. There is a heavy side of whouffaldi, though, I'm not sure whether that is your thing?).

🌿Give some advice on writer's block and low creativity (or energy⚡if you like)

I feel like it always helps me to get myself into a 'I can't do anything else now anyway' situation? That's why trainrides are so good for writing. I just need to be in a situation where I can't take care of more pressing matters, so it won't feel overwhelming if I don't take care of them?

Like, I will rather scroll tumblr than work on my thesis but I won't write. But if I am away from wifi, I might not be able to work on the thesis anyway, so I will easier find the peace of mind (and hence energy and creativity) to write?

Idk maybe that's just me. Maybe it's not working at all either. Honestly, I don't quite know where energy, creativity or motivation to write come from. They just knock and then they're there.

🏜️What's your favourite type of comment to receive on your work?

Well, obviously, I adore long comments, who doesn't? But just saying 'long' feels both greedy and like cheating, so let's talk content.

I think, what excites me most in a comment is when I can sense the enthousiasm? It doesn't necessarily have to be for the content of my fic, I had someone write 'YOU MADE A CROSSOVER FOR THESE TWO FANDOMS?? THEY'RE MY FAVOURITE!!" and it made me smile for a day. Just, I write those things because I love the characters and themes and if someone shows that they share this passion? That's community, that's what we're searching for, isn't it?

But also I got a comment today that was just a bunch of predictions about the next chapter of my current fic and that felt amazing! Generally, when people notice things or I feel they have been paying attention, that is SO GOOD. That's probably also why we love long comments. I mean, generally, every second you spend reading the comment is gold, so the longer the comment the more seconds there are, but also a long comment will usually go into detail. Make predictions. Notice things. Talk about how they perceive the characters and why something made sense/surprised them. Quote your fic back to you. And like, all of that is so much fun. It's like reading your story again, remembering why you wrote it. It's the best feeling in the world.

I very dearly love comments.

🌸Do you have any pets? If you do, post some pictures of them

I don't 😭 The place where I live doesn't allow pets and besides, I am away a lot and not planning on staying in this town much longer anyway. So, yeah, it'd be difficult to have a pet. I really, really want to though. Preferably a cat but I'd be so happy with a dog as well. Or a turtle? Or bunny? Or a lizard? I think you could make me happy with almost any mammal and many types of reptiles <3 (not much into insects or fish though. And I feel weird about birds in cages.)

5. It's Emoyama, Continued

I'm only listing the final chapter, but the whole little arc about Emoyama is basically the 5th pick. It added a new word to my vocabulary – Emoi. I'd say that on its own warrants a place here. But that's far from the only reason.

With Najimi tagging along for the ride, these chapters feel like old times again. Komi's got a problem communicating with a classmate, the three stooges (Komi, Tadano, and Najimi) put their heads together to reach an understanding, and goofs ensue. It's fun, it's funny, it's light, and it's sweet. And it's well set up, with Emoyama's reason for crisis (peeling the unripe fruit of Emoi) having occurred quite a while beforehand.

Add onto that how long Emoyama has been around - she even appears as a teaser in the (current) final scene of the anime...

...along with Lily Sukida. Now that's what I call venerable. Anytime a character like her finally gets some serious attention it's a surprise, a delight, and a treat. Komi's world is full of sleeper agents waiting for their moment. (Just btw, I super ship Sukida and Emoyama now. Maybe I should write a fic....)

Funniest Joke

Comedy is extremely subjective, so take this category with a grain of salt. But given how much I've had to say about Kawai, I doubt you'll be too surprised:

When tf did she have time to make this??????? It's all of the buildup that makes this so memorable to me; how Kawai is so serious and intimidating until she bonds with komi. Then it's like a switch flips in her head. She's such a dork.

The whole of 393 is one joke – Kawai made a DVD about how they'd benefit from marrying her – so I'm saying the whole chapter gets the funniest joke award and calling it day. There's no better way to explain why this one's a winner than to show you some screenshots, so enjoy:

This award would have gone to the kiss, but there's an underdog who I think has worked harder for it. She's captain of the track team; an aspiring restaurateur; an old friend, a bitter rival, and a true hero; and she's never won a damn thing in her life. She needs this.

She's Makeru Yadano at the year three sports carnival!!! I bet you were surprised this chapter wasn't mentioned among my top picks; not even the honourable mentions!! That's what we in the biz call a fake out. I could never forget my girl Makeru.

Something I noticed while writing this - Yadano probably would have won...

...except that Komi got a head start. You can see that Yadano starts a moment behind (because her teammates are Sarutahiko and Inui, RIP). A relay race is a team effort, so can you really say that Yadano lost? Maybe I'm undermining her personal growth moment. Whoops.

For this category, the Komi Report received a record-shattering four votes - that's right!! Four votes!!! From you, the readers.

The votes were extremely varied, and it turned out to be very useful that most people named multiple chapters in their submission. I used a sort of preferential voting system – I tallied everyone's first choice and there was no winner, so I added everyone's second choice, then third etc etc.

Well deserved!!!!!!!! Ogiya's story is heartbreaking; he was driven to become a literal man baby to escape the terrible price of popularity. Then Komi becomes the most assertive we've ever seen her as she keeps pushing him to accept her friendship. In the end, barriers are broken down!! Emoi!!!

I'm looking at this now... and Komi saying "It's alright. I'm super strong so I'll make sure you're alright" and the look on Ogiya's face.... that's making me tear up...

I love how Tadano and Ogiya are said to have been hanging out at other times before this event. It creates the feeling that these characters have lives when we aren't looking at them – very cool! It also demonstrates that Tadano attracts socially maladjusted people like a magnet. I'd say it's his gentle nature.

Conclusion

Phew... I'm knackered. I've been typing this in a document and the word count has passed 4,000... wowzers!

If you've come this far, I extend to you my sincerest gratitude. I would have prepared and posted this even if I didn't expect anyone to see it, so to have someone read it all the way to the end is very cool. Maybe you even... enjoyed it??????

Here's my resolution for 2024 – I will strive to write every Komi Report as thoughtfully and conscientiously as I wrote this one. The weekly editions will be way shorter, of course. And I won't spend a whole week writing them, but each and every one will have the same love put into it 💪

Omg thank you for this ask that I definitely didn't beg for! Today, I'm 💫analyzing💫 my own History of Man edit, because I can. The edit in question first:

So it opens with "April" during That's The Way It Is, where's she relating her own experiences to Juliet's, and the next two shots are Juliet pre One More Try and during It's My life.

"I've seen it, in the poems and the sands." Because Anne recognizes herself in Juliet, and since Juliet is a character in a play, we can say that she saw it in the poems. (And Stark Sands haha 🧍)

"I've pleaded with the powers and their plans."

The wedding. Anne wanted Juliet to live her life after Romeo, giving her friends and a relationship with Frankie, only for William to bring Romeo back and have May and Frankie kiss, making Frankie walk out of the wedding. William and Anne both tried to have it their way, which ended with Anne breaking the quill and the characters getting free will, which means "the powers and their plans" are useless.

"I tried to rewrite it but I can't"

Like I mentioned earlier, all Anne wanted was to let Juliet live her life, in a way she never could. The 2 scenes pictured form a stark contrast with eachother. The start of the Juliet's story, written by Anne, to the end of William and Anne's story, ruined by them. She can't rewrite their own story.

And then we have Anne and Juliet vs William and Romeo in It's My Life. It's the history of man. Anne tries to protect Juliet, but Romeo and William still want their happy ending.

"She stays up, he's sleeping like a lamb"

Juliet is at the funeral. She doesn't know what to do, and Romeo's decision has impacted them both. In this case, he's sleeping and won't wake up anytime soon.

"She begs him, he says he doesn't understand."

All Romeo knows is that's he's Juliet's lover. He hasn't been able to be his own person, always characterized as a "teenage heartthrob." Juliet has slowly become her own person, and made her own choices. She's aware she can't date Romeo, even though she wants to. They're from feuding families and she's marrying another man, and Romeo doesn't understand how difficult it would be to decide to love him again.

We meet Romeo's other lovers at his funeral. They're all grieving, recounting their experiences, but Juliet and Romeo truly can't live without eachother ("She loves him, more than anyone ever has in the history.") She's unintentionally reason for his death, and he was almost the reason for hers. We see her holding Romeo's dagger, debating on if she wants to join him, but ultimately doesn't. She also thinks staying away from him is the smartest choice. She loves his so much that she hurts him in the process.

Anne and William are still the authors of the story, they're the ones in charge, the people who wrote the history of man.

"It's the history of man"

Romeo and Juliet will always fall in love, whatever happens or whoever writes it, it's written in stone. It doesn't always have to end in tragedy however, like William thought, it could be the start of something new, a new beginning for Juliet and Romeo.

Hello! :D Thank you so much for asking these. I particularly love this set of questions.

Fanfic asks for my fic, The World on Our Shoulders!

Without further ado, onward to the answers! :D

1. What inspired you to write/update this work?

I did talk about the origin of my fic a little bit here. What inspired me to update it? Well. I could talk about the ground-up edit.

I had been writing this as sort of a challenge mode back in February, getting the draft down on paper and posting every day just to prove to myself that I could. By the time the challenge ended, I had over 100k words, which was more than my goal (it was more or less a NaNoWriMo challenge I made for myself) and I was able to go back, read it with fresh eyes, and realize pieces that weren't hitting the way I wanted them to. So I decided to go back in and edit iirc somewhere before April. I had something like 52 chapters posted by then lol. So it was a big undertaking. I had plot threads I'd dropped, I had characters whose voices weren't coming through in the way that I hoped. There'd been some waffling about phrasing and word choices and scenes that just felt rushed.

This time, though, instead of simply just feeling awful about my work I decided it could do with some love. So I took the time to start revisions and didn't post anything until I had a big chunk of the story ready to be proofread and edited more ahead of a posting schedule. I've been adding in an extra chapter update or two here or there on certain weeks. But anyway, the inspiration behind updating this is because I want it to be the kind of story I wanted to read, but could not find, even in its first iteration. (: All I can do is hope I'm doing it justice.

3. If this work is an update/new chapter, how do you stay motivated on multi-chapter works?

I am motivated to keep updating this thing because the story is living rent free in my head, and what else am I going to do but write it if it's allowed to clatter around in there anyway? (: LOL But no, seriously, I'm invested in the characters at this point. It's a personal challenge besides that, which I was going over here and here. I just wanna write a fun story besides all that. I figured, what is the most dramatic thing that can happen to an NPC who discovers they're the dragonborn? WELL. After a series of bad decisions on her part, we have the prologue of World lol. It's more than that, of course, but still. (:

15. What is one question you wish someone would ask you about this work? Ask it and answer it.

OH another one of these, my poor brain LOL. Okay. Here goes nothing! (Thank you, btw. I love having to really think about my work like this!)

Are there alternate ways this story could have gone? Do you have plans to make what-if sort of stories for this series?

I've been wanting to write a series of shortfics or one shots that go over alternate events counter to what happens in World, really, because I think it's important for writing practice and for reaffirming that, while the alternate story is fun and good to think about, you're on the right path with how you've been going in your project (:

Some of the questions I ask myself are:

"What would have happened if Nyenna and Eris actually made it to Solstheim as intended?"

"What if she stayed with Hadvar and went straight to Solitude?"

"What if Nyenna rejected Athis?"

"What if she never learned magic?"

"What if she wasn't the Last Dragonborn? Who would be?"

Among so, so many others. All of them would have affected her character arc in some significant way. Most of them would still have her being pulled into her destiny, though, except that last one. Most of them would have her missing out on trusting herself to get stronger, especially the first one. Some of them would shift the whole setting of the story to a different part of Skyrim altogether, and a setting shift has the ability to change the tone of the whole story, if you think about it.

I want to take a minute to answer those what-ifs briefly.

1: She'd have never been guided to reconnect with her power. Teldryn probably would have seen her just as another traveler, not as a patron. He might have left for Skyrim without her the following morning. She'd have to be saved from a dragon, likely, instead of do the saving or escaping on her own, before the whole soul absorption thing happens.

2: She'd have joined the Legion, likely, convinced she could be anything she put her mind to. She'd be a good soldier, and of course would stand and fight a random dragon with Hadvar in the battalion at her side. She'd discover her powers and then Tullius would, sensing an opportunity, use her in his plans to end the war as quickly as possible. If either of them survived to the end of either quest, she'd probably hire Hadvar as her housecarl. Or maybe marry him instead.

3: Athis is quite smitten with Nyenna at the beginning of their story. If Nyenna wasn't so rash and grabby-hands about that kind of attention, she'd probably have been nice enough to him, but would have focused on recovery first and then moving on toward Solstheim as was her original intention. I like the idea that she'd discover she's Dragonborn on Solstheim rather than at the watchtower, though... it'd be interesting considering she'd not have trained at all in this situation, too.

4: If all went exactly as the fic was going, but she never learned Flames to begin with, she'd not have known she had a bit of an unusual aptitude for magic. It would affect how she'd fight. She'd probably still focus on archery, I'd assume, but also would need to have an even better handle on fighting with weapons that actually have weight to them. I feel like she'd fit the image the Nords have of the LDB a little better. Also, without healing magic, Athis probably would have died at a certain point. Twice she'd been there to staunch the bleeding and close wounds when others couldn't or didn't. So that would have complicated things.

5: If Nyenna wasn't the Dragonborn but everything went exactly as the fic is going, I'd have given that to Athis, I think. He wishes more than once over the course of the story that he could have been chosen, mostly regretting being unable to take the burden off of her. If that was the case, I wonder how Nyenna would have reacted to being the wife of the Dragonborn. I feel like Athis would have prioritized her anyway, even in the wake of the quest. I don't know if Nyenna would have stayed home per se. She'd probably have still been training and retrieving artifacts. She'd probably have gone with Athis on some pieces of the quest, too, because he wouldn't have thought HE was the one causing the chaos and danger as Nyenna believes in World.

So yes. Alternate what-if fics :D If I were to write a one shot of any of these, would you guys like to see a specific one? Feel free to comment or send me asks and I can also write fragments out, maybe, of certain changed scenes as writing practice. <3

You killed me on a Wednesday

But I got reborn on a Sunday! 💋

Basically; I won't let this bitch ruin what I have worked so long to create. Yes I had a meltdown but that doesn't mean she is worth it to be ruined. Yes. I dedicated it to her. As I gave her a universe.

A universe with so much backstory and so much emotion, so much fantasy...so much of everything.

I wasted money. I wasted time. I made her a Norwegian dictionary written by hand. I showed my country. Where I grew up. I shared her secrets. I have wasted my creativity. My devotion. Wasted so many whole 24 hours and nights just to write for HER. And this bitch even gave the main character of my story, a perfect name. It fit with the story. Of what this character would become. Of what the purpose of the charcter was going to be. I even found the perfect backstory to why she got the name. It fit with where the main character was from. From Argentina. It was perfect. But she now needs a new name. As that french bitch screwed me over. I now have to rename the main character of Liebeslied. It will be similar to the old. Because I am lazy. And she is mentioned in several hundred pages already. Don't care to edit away all the first name and replaxe it with a brand name. You can't complain on me for that!

But it's scary isn't it? How you can dedicate your entire self to someone. And then with a single "yeah sorry..." they can brush you off. As if you never happened. Like 3 weeks ago I was happy. I was actually editing the chapters I already had, instead of making new ones. I was going to give my universe. My work for 4 whole years. 24/7 for 4 whole years. If I didn't wrote. Then I thought about it. If I didn't thought about it. I acted it out (but alone because I am not the kind to be talking to myself in front of others). My whole life for 4 years (almost 5) and this bitch would get it all for x-mas. For FREE. But no. That's not what happened.

I had to ask her. It had to be done;

hey? Are we still friends?

And she had to shoot me down.

"Yeah Sorry...should have told you long time ago.."

"Yeah sorry..." as in "yeah btw..." our friendship to her was just that..."yeah sorry." " Yeah btw..."

Because she "grew up". She got a bf. A career. "I'm not the same".

No. She weren't. But that doesn't change the fact that

I wasted 4 years for something that died about 2 years prior to this. And she knew it was dying. And I was naive.

I dedicated A UNIVERSE for her. I don't think she will ever realize this!!

A whole UNIVERSE. It had people in it. People that to her was pure fiction but I myself saw them as my children.

And she doesn't want me to give it to her. She never replied to my "could I still post you Liebeslied once its all done. As a form of closure. You don't have to contact me beyond that. Just for closure. Beyond that I wish the best for you aswell".

She never bothered to reply.

Well you know what?

I have had 3 weeks. To think this over. My conclution?

She doesn't deserve what I gave her. She never did. I was just a way to "pass time". So she could get a bf and a career.

The time. The effort. The money. My creativity. My writing. My enthusiasm. My PASSION! My dedication and lastly even my tears and sanity. She didn't deserve ANY of this. She made her choice! She gave me up. Just like that. I wasn't even worthy of a

"hah no thanks I don't want Liebeslied anymore."

She gave this up. But I won't. I won't give up.

She will never know how Liebeslied ends. And that'd ok. She doesn't deserve to know how it ends! It's not for her anymore!

And so I wipe away my tears before they fall. Always before they fall. Because that french bitch doesn't deserve them.

Her friendship to me was simply to her a way to "pass time" until she got a bf and a career.

I am worth more than that!

And so is the Universe that I have created. That I have breathed, every day for so long! Which is why the first fic of the Liebeslied series will be published in 2023 as then everything about this bitch will be in the past.

Tania as the main character is dead.

And Thalia has risen from her ashes.

And with that minor change. Liebeslied will live without that bitch. That french whore that left me for a man and a career. Nope! Screw that!

I will have the first story done in 2023. That is a promise! And it will be good. It is (if I'm gonna say so myself and I will!) way too good to be given up because of something as lousy as her! And I know. Deep inside my still somehow shattered heart. I do know. That some of you yes you; you lovely, amazing, kind, wonderful, beautiful beings...SOME will love it. Some of you will love that universe that I have spent so long making! I am sure.

And unlike that bitch, you all actually deserve this universe!

I have risen. For you! Because of you! My wonderful followers and mutuals, I have kept the little drop of my sanity left. It is the thought of you all that have kept me going for these 3 weeks and more!

I know now that I am better than that bitch. Why? Because I know the meaning of friendships. And that lying bitch obviously doesn't!

So hail to me. For I have risen!

Hail to Liebeslied. For this universe and it's children will go on!

And I promise I will impress and scare some of you. I will make some of you angry. I will make some of you you smile. And some of you will cry and wish that my children would exist and I will have to remind you that they DO! THEY WILL BE BACK! You just as much I breathes life into them! All my followers and mutuals and especially those of you that have wanted and longed for this Universe ...for MY universe to carry on, I am doing this for YOU! And it WILL carry on! Next year. It will all break loose! And I hope you are ready!

hahaha nice seeing you again, I haven't done au in a long while but I'm excited to give this one a shot

(For this modern! AU. Rozerin is a college student along with you btw)

I'm trying my best to reign in on the length of my writing and keep things short and sweet so let's hope I can keep to that.

Rozerîn was someone you rarely saw around campus, partially due to how busy she was- volunteering in her free time, studying when she needed to, and participating in all her club activities scheduled throughout the week.

It also didn't help that the two of you majored in different areas.

Nevertheless, she always made the effort to meet up with you on Saturdays like this- utilizing the time you two had together to reconnect; catch up.

Sadly, there would be little time for eating sweets over tea today- as the due date for your humanities paper had suddenly crept up on you.

"I should recommend you my scheduling app," Rozerîn mused, entering the library's study room and shutting the door behind her with a soft click, "How far along are you now?"

She did you a mercy by ignoring the eyebags formed on your face, especially since it was a normal occurrence among college students anyway.

You sigh, rubbing your eyes as if brute force alone could wipe the weariness from your face- the intoxicating scent of coffee filling your little prison cell. "Not nearly far enough. Ugh. These core classes are killing me, Rosie- killing me."

She has the decency to look away and hide her amusement at your predicament before sitting across from you- pulling your textbooks over to her side of the table.

"Here, let me see what you're working on," Rozerîn offered, taking a look at the assignment you had forgotten about.

While she busied herself with catching up on the dire situation at hand, you helped yourself to the stiff cardboard tray of drinks she had brought.

Tea, coffee- iced and cold options too.

There was a sweet scent in the air as well, did she get the two of you pastries?

Selecting your choice of drink you took a small sip, sampling the flavor. "Rozerîn, don't get me wrong-" You begin, turning the cup in your hand around and inspecting it while she read. "I always appreciate everything and anything you do but I have to ask, why'd you get so much?"

Did she really expect the two of you to be here all day?

She scrunched up her face at the question, a small bit of color dusting her cheeks- keeping her eyes trained on the work in front of her.

"You didn't tell me what you wanted when I was at the coffee shop, so I grabbed a little bit of everything."

Raising an eyebrow at her words, you check your phone.

A single text notification.

Dang.

"Sorry about that, here," You put down your drink and go rifling for some money, holding out some bills to your study partner who was giving you an indiscernible look. "Let me pay."

"Nonsense," Rozerîn shook her head, pushing the money back at you with a smile. "You can pay me back by getting this work done."

You relented, knowing that Rozerîn's case was a special one. She had gotten into university on the back of a small army of scholarships- so many that she was practically being paid to go to school at this point.

Taking your work back from your study partner, you noticed the small changes and notes already marked on your work. Unsurprisingly, it seemed that Rosie was well-versed in your coursework.

"Did you take this class?" You ask curiously, eyes flipping to your laptop to finalize the recommended edits. Humanities was a core course everyone had to take, yes, but most of the brightest students always had some high school course or two to waive the requirement altogether.

Rozerîn shook her head, taking her own drink from the nearby tray- her free hand raiding her bag for the pastries she was hiding out of your reach. "Not this particular class, but I've taken quite a few of the courses they offer here."

"Making the most of your scholarship?" You joke, happily taking a treat when Rosie offers up a large brown bag at you. "Didn't think you were interested in those courses."

"It may not be my major," Rozerîn hummed, taking another drawn-out sip from her drink. "But I find those courses to be equally fascinating as they are important."

You look up from your laptop, biting down on your lip to keep from smiling.

That storm-grey look of hers shone with a familiar light behind them- a light that seemed to only appear when she spoke of the things that she was passionate about.

"What do you mean?" You ask innocently- though it was mostly to keep her talking, to catch a glimpse of the stars that glowed behind the clouds of grey in her eyes.

"Philosophy, art history, literature analysis- it's so easy to overlook the importance of these classes because there's no studies or 'evidence' to back them in the same way the sciences and math courses do."

You nod, typing up some notes for your paper while Rozerîn takes a tiny nibble of her pastry- a hand lightly smacking the desk as she continues.

"But without those courses, how can someone truly understand other people- past or present? You'd never be able to understand the human condition reflected in the art and writing of the past. You'd never be able to connect with other people; empathize with them, if you have little understanding of their values- both religion and philosophy fundamental in that."

By now you had stopped your typing, instead training your gaze onto her sharp features as Rozerîn crossed her arms- her gaze distant.

"I love science- adore it, but science without humanity is cruel. Reason- logic without compassion; heartless."

Her body froze, Rozerîn realizing just that she had been ranting, and if you were to bet on it- your gaze on her was not helping.

"Sorry!" she blurted, hiding her dark red face behind a curtain of black hair. "I got carried away."

Her meek voice squeezed your heart, your hand reaching for hers without hesitation- lacing your fingers together.

"Don't be, honestly, I love it." You admit, watching with amusement as Rozerîn covered her lips with her free hand in an attempt to hide her smile from the world.

From you.

"Is...is that so?" she breathes, unable to hide the joy in her voice as easily as she did her smile- the squeeze you gave her hand drawing her back to you.

"Of course," You nod in earnest, her reaction to the praise bringing out a bolder side of yourself. "Sometimes you amaze me if I'm going to be honest—I mean you always do."

"Flatter." her accusatory tone was light, the small attempt to swat at your words falling upon deaf ears.

"You just have such intuition and a real wisdom about most things. I like understanding the way you see the world."

It was a beautiful way to see it.

Rozerîn was at her limit now, pulling back her hand so she could hide behind both at once- head shaking at the barrage of sincere praise she was suddenly receiving.

"Enough, spare my poor heart" Now it was her turn to groan- the poor student hunched over in her seat. "Let's just... go back to your work."

So cute.

Turning your attention back to your paper was a struggle of self-control, but one you won out in the end. You had a lot more ideas to work with now, thanks to Rozerîn and even if you were to hit a wall, you knew she'd be there to help guide you out of it.

She'd just need some time to recover first.

i'm genuinely curious abt why you have crimson peak :o it's one of my favourites as a modern gothic (though i am biased towards guillermo del toro for how he uses colour and shape) and i always wanna hear other takes on it? also bc like. if you have something to recommend in its arena that you like better, i always wanna watch new moview

id have to watch it again so i could pick apart every single thing i hate because thers a lot. like every single scene i could pause and tear apart. its been years so ive forgotten everyhting (ive watched it twice btw i tried to give it a second chance)

from what i remember:

the first scenes depicting what initially seemed like it was gonna be so creepy, immediately made me laugh so hard bc they chose to just give us a full glimpse of the worst CGI-ghost-wraith imaginable. this moment setting the stage for the rest of the film made it really suffer. proof that when it comes to some horror especially gothic horror...less is more

the main actress was a terrible choice imo. she did fine in jane eyre, and thats the only time shes ever done fine. which is fitting. but everything else she does (aka any emotion required beyond haughtiness and brooding and like, reading lines that arent directly pulled from 19th century novels) is so fucking unconvincing. i actually think most of this could be blamed on the script itself, and less with her acting prowess, which leads me to my next point

the dialogue was fucking ghastly like, ooof....... so cliche....... so so so cringey, unimaginative, "trying to sound deep", unconvincing

and the necessary plot devices/maneuvers to make things happen that i didnt feel really made sense at all, in general and also when it came to some of the characters' motivations. i think this was a writing problem in character development and actually portraying effectively why things were happening and why characters were making decisions in ways that the audience wouldnt question if that makes sense

loki did a good job w that role and honestly he alone was the only redeeming quality of this movie

also the whole fucking plot after she gets to crimson peak made me wana kms like. it was so bad im sorry. bad pacing, ineffective buildup of tension, the scary parts the tension led to were just more bad CGI, the lack of development of the main character as A PERSON w certain core strengths and weaknesses in all the scenes leading up to this and the decisions shes makes here (bc in the whole movie she seems to always make contradictory decisions and have contradictory motivations, and theyre not affected by really anything that happens in the movie? she basically has whatever personality a scene requires her to have to further the plot), made this part of the movie suffer.

i feel like a lot of it had to have been edited out perhaps, because the series of events felt extremely clunky to me.

and by the end, i wasnt invested in any of it, any of the characeters, any of the exttremely forced romance between main girl and loki guy, so the twist and ending scene and climax etc etc had zero impact on me

as a result of this and much more i found it impossible to feel invested in it and it (and shape of water) helped me realize guillermo del toro has made good movies but that doesnt mean everyhing he makes is good, and as a fan of a lot of his work, im ok w admitting that

as far as modern gothic horror................ hnnnmmmmmmmmm i honestly could use recs myself.

aside from the obvious interview with the vampire (the original as well as the TV series) and bram stokers dracula, (YES movies from the 90s are modern to me ok??), the TV show Midnight Mass is a great modern gothic horror story. you also might like the jane eyre movie that features michael fassbender and the actress from crimson peak, i quite liked it , having seen several adaptations of that movie it might be my favorite. but it doesnt quite count as modern gothic horror in the modern sense. theres also dracula untold, idk quite if it fits this genre (considering it's also action), but i thought it was good

You'd use a word like chungo to talk about a rough neighborhood (and a person that comes from a rough neighborhood but it doesn't have to be bc there's a slippery slope there with stereotyping people, juri is not accusing diamante of mugging someone w a knife or anything, she's just saying she's coming off a little harsh)

the subtitles in english when diamante is explaining how she did the lipsync are giving me brain damage because they are odd (... and there's a typo that mixes part w parents) but whatever moving on, it's close enough

when presenting the runway; when supremme says they're all very well dressed, javier calvo says que mona va esta chica siempre which is a meme from a long running sitcom called aquí no hay quien viva

when introducing choriza, supremme says that if she was a contestant in spain her name would have been martadela which is ofc a pun for marta and mortadella but just as a curiosity, chori's actually name is a wordplay not only for theresa may but because in spanish you call thieves (and also politicians) a chorizo and british ppl pronounce theresa and chorizo almost the same

people were teasing chori a bit online because just like juri says she sounds the tiniest bit guiri when speaking in spanish but it's charming and it makes me feel better about my own accent (but some of it is just her voice lol)

diamante's second runway is inspired by casa batlló and diamante i mean this with love... no. la casa batlló is a catalan modernist building made by the architect antonio gaudí (who also did parc güell and la sagrada familia in barcelona) and diamante is right for sant jordi's day (also known as day of the rose) the front of the building is covered in roses; it is a lovely inspiration and both the tradition and the building are near and dear to my heart, but it feels more like an homage to revolutionary girl utena; in the story of saint george a kingdom was being terrorized by a dragon that saint george kills and from the carcass of the slayed dragon grew a rose bush, dragona is also a way to refer to a drag queen which is why choriza says she doesn't trust sant jordi, bc he goes around killing drag queens (dragonas)

when sethlas comes in as a non-binary computer; calvo makes a reference to taking the blue pill or the red pill which from the matrix (and to party drugs)

nothing for marina that was pretty straight forward, i did like hers a lot as well

when juriji comes in and ana says she's very swedish, hacerse la sueca (to pretend to be swedish) means to pretend you don't know what's going on; cine de barrio (cinema from the neighborhood) is a tv show that has been in emissions since the 90s, it's currently host by alaska (the spanish singer) and it's the projection of the movie (anything made in spain from the 50s to the 90s) + interviews made to people that performed/filmed them; she also uses a very particular word called el destape for reveal, el cine destape was what the movies made after 1975 were called, immediately after the francoist censorship committee was disolved, bc many of those were basically accused of being porn movies with the flimsiest excuse of a plot; el felpudo de la cantudo is a reference to 'la cantudo's welcome mat' la cantudo was maria jose cantudo, and the welcome mat in question is her crotch which appears in a movie in 1975 for like 9 seconds in a fully useless shot that made everyone lose their shit (the first frontal nudity shoot in a movie after 40 years of censorship would do that... idk if it was the first one ever made in spanish cinema but it probably was); and that reference to fernando estesos sucking on nipples is a reference to another spanish sitcom called la que se avecina (a raunchier sequel to aquí no hay quien viva) in which a character -an elder lady- is always saying that estesos (who is a famous actor) sucked on her nipple when she was younger and worked in cinema (he made a cameo in the series after years of being name dropped on the show) ((i am well aware this is a lot for a simple look of juri in underwear lol but i don't know how to explain any of these in any other way i am sorry))

when sharonne enters ambrossi makes a reference to a popular kid's riddle oro parece plata no es (looks like gold it's not silver, it's a wordplay for platano = 🍌); the judges make references to the scarecrow and the lion from the wizard of oz and when she's leaving calvo says 'es muy cañera' (she's very powerful) it can mean exactly that and it can also reference papel de caña (recycled paper)

when estrella is walking the runway ambrossi says she's cybercelia; cybercelia was the host character from a kids show segment in tv from the early 00s called the cyberclub that had cartoon episodes in-between educative segments; albal flores is a wordplay on papel albal (aluminium paper, albal is a popular brand) and alba flores (family of the flamenco dancer lola flores and actress in the money heist tv series) and alba carrillo is a model and tv host

when venedita is walking the runway choriza says venedita has a flower on her ass, it is an expression that means being lucky; when calvo says she's been seeded, plantada actually means she was stood-up

please tell us about cons and pros of p5! i'm really curious

I'm only halfway through the game so I can't really give it a definite review yet 🥲maybe I'll further write about my thoughts when I finish cause wow this game is WAYYY longer than I thought.

The game play itself is good and I don't have any real complaints there. I've been playing the game on hard mode and I'm still having a good time, the only times I lose a battle is cause I make a careless decision or simply cause I'm a newbie who didn't know what to do at first lol

Also I love a lot of the dialouges and interactions with other characters, some of it is really funny too.

All my grievances so far mostly comes from parts of the writing or how some characters are handled to sum it up. Also there are some problematic elements too... for example your character is a teenager and you're able to date any of your female friends and also grown women (including your teacher btw) but God forbid you date your male best friend who's been with you since the beginning, or any of the other guys who do seem to have some actual interest in you.

You can apparently even say you prefer men in a specific dialouge option; yet you still can't be gay??? Like make it make sense?? omfg

Game would be ranked even higher for me if I was allowed to be gay lol

Fanservice isn't too bad in this game and most of the girls thankfully aren't excessively sexualized except for poor Ann so far, like it's too the point I feel bad for her cause she used for that a lot when she's actually not like that at all, and is actually a real sweetheart.

I'm playing Persona 5 Royal to be exact which is the better version of the game it seems and I heard the game changed some pretty homophobic dialouges and one scene in particular from back in 2016(?) that was apparently controversial...but apparently the way they fixed it wasn't that much better either and I didn't even know about it until now :/

Edit: Also one personal thing for me exclusively, I kinda get overwhelmed on how to spend my free time in the game because how much you can do. Like I get caught in wondering if I should go raise social stats that could potentially really benefit me later or when theres like 6 different text messages in game and I don't know which character to hang out with, especially when it's multiple characters I really like. Jobs and many areas to walk around in and shop at and then other small mini games and activities you can do... I get a tiny bit overwhelmed yet I still can't put it down 😅 so my brain sometimes feels exhausted while playing. This is only a personal me thing.

But yeah tldr;

Pros: I have mostly positive feelings, game play is fun, I like most of the characters and I like being able to hang out with them, and I'm invested in the story and I can't wait to find out what happens next.

Cons: Don't have a lot bad to say. Just some of the writing and some details/aspects in it are kinda annoying/problematic or just a really weird choice in my opinion and it makes me a little bitter because I do like the game.

My feelings might change when i actually finish the game, but who knows lol

I think I like the album more than Lover and Rep but my god some of the production choices. That weird ass distorted sound in Midnight Rain? the fuck would they do that. She sounds so much better with "simpler" production (idk how the right word). Also some real forgettable song fillers there. Loved the Lana "collab", Maroon and Bigger than the Whole Sky though. What are your favs?

Midnight Rain should've never seen the light of day, and that's a FACT (and what happened in the second half of Labyrinth???). and yeah i'm not well versed in music-related terminology as well but idk if it's the ~richness of the production (or lack of it) that's the problem, or whether they'd simply got LAZY. like, antonoff was involved in cruel summer, for example, which i consider one of her ultra pop masterpieces, so like. IDK, MAN. Paper Rings was great as well, even if it probably should've been a Bleachers song.

i do have some faves! i like Maroon as well, partly because she's doing some of that low matt berninger-esque monologue-y singing on it (there's a bit of that in Anti-Hero as well! i'm indifferent to the "sexy baby" controversy btw lmao). i love You're On Your Own, Kid, and also Question, mostly because of that bit about your friends watching you kiss someone and making fun of you, and then cheering you on. like that's some CLASSIC swiftian imagery, and i mantain that she's a master of telling ordinary love stories. Bejeweled is very boppy, but it's the most Bleachers song on the entire album, and similarly to Paper Rings it could have been on any Bleachers album tbh. i also enjoy Mastermind, Bigger Than The Whole Sky, High Infidelity, and Would've Could've Should've! so some our faves overlap. the Dessner songs are def the most interesting instrumentally because he'd never half ass even a bop, but i'm still feeling let down when it comes to the ~musical side of this album overall. not quite sure where this album will fit in my overall ranking of her albums yet! aaand in general i do prefer stripped tswift the most as well, i think, because that's when the writing tends to shine the most. BUT I LOVE HER GOOD BOPS TOO. lastly, you're 100% right, i think she should be leaving more songs on the floor of the editing room on basically every record. it's great that she's so prolific, but i think pretty much all of her albums would only benefit from shorter track lists.

okay I have many questions 😂 you live near the place where winters lived?? how did your grandparents know him?? did they know abt the letter?? what was in it?? 😁 because seriously what you described sounds exactly like something I'd do if I didn't live halfway across the world lol

oh goodness me. i used to live about 20 minutes from winters, but my grandma's family had a neighboring farm near his family's place. i remember as a kid they all used to have golf cart parades in the summer my grandparents took us to? i remember it being on the news when he passed away about the hershey theater and that tom hanks was in the midstate.

my first interaction with BoB/Dick Winters was in 10th grade study hall when my history teacher put on an episode. and i was HOOKED. they did not. that was in early may, and by july my dad took me to the memorial and cemetery and i was super discreet with the letter. but i recoil in horror thinking about it. like who gave this 15 year old that much courage?? certainly not me. she was absolutely unhinged. if you ever get the chance up this way, the hershey historical society has a replica of major winters's den and has the wheaties box with him on. i've spent hours in there.

at sixteen, my best friend at the time and i watched almost all the episodes together, we didnt watch ten? and we fell out and went our separate ways and i've been a part of the fandom long enough to see people come ans go. i met my now best friend through the fandom and im so thankful for her every day.

btw, i wish i could tell you what was in the letter, but i just remember writing it with a g2-07 purple pen (my pen of choice for teenage me).

i've learned a lot since then, my dad has passed on, but those memories i have with him are priceless. next week i'm going to europe to trace the steps of easy company with my best friend in the whole world, and 15-year old me would be pretty proud, i think.

oh, and 15 year old me used to write dick winters self-insert fanfiction, so yeah. peak cringe on my part.

edited to add: i was so obsessed with this man that i nearly went to the same college he went to just because he went there.

You remember Mr. Hallwinter, right? Sorry, Doctor Hallwinter. Hate that guy, hate his class, hate his teaching. But lucky for you, Barry, hate is exactly what you’re gonna need for this mission. So until we’ve got all our shit sorted out, we’re gonna be Sildar Hallwinter.

This whole fic, but this paragraph especially, was based off an idea I had in like,,, December? That I never fully got to. The original work went a lil further into that name choice and also just built up a lot of resentment, not only towards the persona of "Sildar Hallwinter" but for what Barry's doing in the first place. Like he doesn't wanna spend all his time looking for Lup. But he's gotta and he's never gonna give up. Discord screenshots of those two bits are below:

34. Thoughts on the Oxford comma, Go:

I mean, I use it when I can? Like, if I'm listing things, the only reason I wouldn't put the comma is if things were obviously connected, like two people arriving together. So if Lup and Taako showed up as a pair, I'd put "Magnus, Merle, Lup and Taako". But if they showed up separately, or if they weren't meant to be connected in that scene I'd put "Magnus Merle, Lup, and Taako". Idk if that makes any sense sldfsdf

38. What is something about your writing process YOU think is Really Weird? If you are comfortable, please share. If you’re not comfortable, what do you think cats say about us?

I mean, my whole process is wild lsdfsdf. As stated above, I usually try to finish everything in one sitting. Like, I will set at my desk for hours and crank out a 6k fic. I did once stay up for 24(ish) hours just to finish a 13k fic, post it without ANY editing, and then pass the fuck out. I barely ate or drank anything, which wasn't great sdlfsdf

Also just the fact that I can't write if I'm listening to something? Even just rain or anything besides my Room Noises, I will get too overwhelmed. I also tend to write too fast for my hands to keep up with, and end up skipping half a sentence and not noticing until I go back (if I go back at all).

Also also, I don't edit that much?? Or rewrite? With fanfiction at least. I feel like I should, because everyone else seems to, but if I'm writing a fic, I usually say what I want to say and there's maybe some rare moments where I'll rewrite a scene. Maybe I'll add/take away some bits but??? Idk! I don't edit or revise that much!

40. Please share a poem with me, I need it.

Struggled to find a poem small enough to not make this ask longer than it already is, but here's one I wrote earlier in spring:

the sun is a little bit brighter today than it was before i think just the idea of spring is enough to open my curtains every day we're deep into it now, the sun setting later with each passing night i wanna make flower crowns with the weeds growing back up in my garden i wanna plunk up a wishing flower and let it tear away before i've had the chance to think of a wish i think if i got the time, if i prepared ahead, i'd just ask for spring to last a little bit longer this year i was hibernating before, but now im awake and the sun feels so nice on my face
