WHY did they translate "地縛少年花子くん" to "Toilet Bound Hanako-Kun", it's literal translation is "Hanako-kun, a boy bound to the earth", which makes sense with his whole "I love the moon but I'm not going anywhere" shtick, he's bound to the school not the FUCKING TOILET

Hanako-Kun / Yugi Amane
Spoilers for the TBHK/JSHK manga and anime ahead; be warned!
Amane Yugi; this poor, poor kid. His fate said he would become an astronomy teacher with his love of space and the moon, but life had other plans for him, and he ended up a ghost haunting his former school, taking on the name Hanako and the role of the school’s 7th supernatural mystery.
Throughout the flashback scenes in the manga, especially during the 4PM Bookstacks arc, Amane is repeatedly associated with the moon. The Apollo 11 landing had just happened, and his love for space was fueled by the possibility of reaching the moon one day. He spews facts at his teacher, about how far away the moon is from earth, and then shows the teacher his most precious possession: a moon rock that he had found (which he is seen holding in the image I submitted for the poll). This rock becomes very important for this story arc, though it would take a lot of lore explaining to say why, so I’ll leave it at that.
In later arcs that are not flashbacks, Amane, or Hanako I should say, is still associated with the moon. The Picture Perfect arc is a great example of this, with Hanako and Yashiro having extremely important conversations with a moon backdrop behind them, even having a special fully colored page where the moon is the majority of the background. The moon is a major part of many of the backgrounds throughout this arc, and in others, especially when Hanako is the scene focus.
Outside of the manga, Amane is repeatedly drawn with moon and space imagery in promotional art, and the manga artist’s personal pieces as well.

Okay but if I’m trying to be serious Judith is so deeply tied to the night and the mystery of both her past and feelings. She’s someone who can keep and easy face and be decently amicable, but completely toe over any moment that requires her to be genuine or show her true feelings.
Shes a dragon rider! And said dragon is her closest friend- and likely only one before joining Brave Vesperia.

wanted to compile a tiny list of one-off hananene aus i had been thinking about (mostly around the majority of spooky season) but never really found time to either expand upon or just did one thing about it and never continued since lol

the "i work as a pizza delivery person and also live in the same neighborhood as this guy who turns out does cult rituals in his house. also he gave me his number" au. you can see how this goes already
amane's the so-called hero and is sent by prince minamoto to defeat a witch named yako, who they think is evil. instead of a battle to the death yako basically just tells him "you know what, kid. i got a better idea. i won't mess with minamoto ever again, but only if you manage to make my apprentice fall in love with you within the span of a year." her apprentice is nene, who's quite sweet but a little gullible. he's like "oh boy this is gonna be easy" but newsflash they both fall in love with each other because i will make that happen and you can't stop me
screen-bound sadako-kun. instead of the girl's toilet he has long hair and haunts a cursed video tape. nene is the unfortunate(?) person who finds the tape but ultimately he doesn't really find it in himself to curse her to eternal suffering because goddamnit she's so nice even to someone like him. he would curse those who made fun of her legs, though, if she let him.
or better yet. canonverse but hanako and sadako are relatives. probably his aunt. he introduces her to his friends. some funny shit happens or whatever. or just any au i have where hanako is actually relatives with other japanese urban legends. lol

dear my living dead au. nene's already one of the living dead even before meeting hanako, and agrees to be bound to him to a contract so she could remain walking on earth. they are both so fucked up in their own ways but goddamnit they have each other and that's what matters akdjkabdhhsj
amane is secretly a serial killer. nene's the ghost haunting his house and he can see her and they both get along. one slight problem though. he's actually the guy who killed her somewhere in the past and he doesn't have the heart to tell her that because he may or may have not become very fond of her so he just has to constantly make shit up while "helping" her solve her own murder
an au where it's literally just the "everytime i get home, my wife pretends to be dead" song
the guy in the apartment next door is a necromancer and just resurrected his dead girlfriend. also happened last week before that is that a woman's grave essentially got ransacked and the body stolen. there isn't any correlation with those things, right?

Just for the purposes of getting my thoughts together I may as well try to compile a list of all the fics with at least a chance of getting written.
Currently Posting:
Colliding Trains of Plot (Demon Slayer AU/canon divergence), AKA that one weird role-reversal fic. Covers the Mugen Train arc and has a lot more to it that's planned, but not yet written.
Currently Writing:
I Lied When I Said I Would See You Again (Demon Slayer AU), an AU set in the Puella Magi Madoka Magica setting. It's fluff, I swear! It's had a set number of chapters from the start, and there are only a couple chapters left to go before I can get on the edit-and-post train. I also want to draw designs for the main characters of the AU, so you'll know when I'm close to posting the fic because I'll post a bunch of spoiler-censored designs on tumblr.
Sequels to Posted Fics:
The Definition of Family (Demon Slayer AU) is not a stand-alone oneshot! I've got plans in the works for a few other oneshots set in the same universe, each one focusing on different characters. Hard to say exactly which ones will be written and posted when, but once I'm free to work on more projects I feel like these might end up high on my list.
What Could Have Been (Demon Slayer AU), the sequel to CToP. This one covers the Entertainment District arc alongside an equivalent but very different arc from the alternate universe. I'm not as stoked for this one as I am for some of the others, but I am excited for what'll come after it.
Partially Written, Cut Off, On the Back-Burner:
A Hollow's Guide to Vampire Slaying (Bleach canon divergence): A canon-diverging retelling of the Bount arc in a world where Ichigo goes AWOL inside his own inner world and leaves his hollow to fill in. Cares not for any later-revealed canon.
Confronting the Impostor (SpyxFamily): On a mission, Loid ends up needing to impersonate an SSS officer and, perhaps thinking it would be easiest to disguise himself as someone he knows, takes on the persona of his brother-in-law. It doesn't seem like such a great idea after they meet.
Welcome Back to White Space (We've Missed You, Dreamer) (OMORI post-canon) has been living in my untouched tabs since last year and is easily the longest unfinished fic I've got. A world that's existed for four years, with inhabitants that are real enough to have minds of their own, does not go quietly—or indeed at all, if there is someone willing to sustain it. And Omori is very much willing to sustain his world in order to keep his friends alive, even if he needs to enlist Sunny's help in order to return them from Black Space.
Pride Cometh Before a Fall (Fullmetal Alchemist canon divergence) is set in a timeline where Edward Elric is in reality the homunculus Pride. Fortunately, his time living with (spying on) Hohenheim's family has warmed him up to humanity, and he's very willing to turn on his father in order to preserve it.
Completely Unwritten, but Interesting:
The Eight Wonders of Kimetsu Academy (Demon Slayer AU, title not final) is, in a similar vein to ILWISIWSYA, a shorter long-fic with a set number of chapters. Also similar to my current project, it's focused on familial fluff, in a sort of "the real treasure was the family bonds we found along the way" way. Loosely inspired by Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun. Loosely.
On Second Thought, Do Panic (Bleach AU) is, essentially, Bleach IN SPACE!. Crash-landed galactic peacekeeper Rukia Kuchiki strong-arms ordinary human Ichigo Kurosaki into helping her repair her spaceship, fight back against the alien hordes invading Earth, and return to her home on the Seireitei space station—until they crash along the way and Rukia is taken home for imprisonment while Ichigo is left to die (or be rescued by an acquaintance who's not quite an Earthling himself, but that part comes later).
Three May Be a Crowd, but Four is Just Ridiculous (Bleach canon divergence): This is the story of what happens when Uryu dies post-Winter War. Don't worry, this is a happy story. This is a story of Uryu being found in the Rukon by a clone of himself and promptly invited on a zany road trip with the goal of killing Kurotsuchi. It's also the story of far too many people deciding to clone Uryu. I'm sure nothing bad will come of that.
It's Simple, It's Easy, and It's Free (Bleach post-"canon") won't be written any time soon. This is because it's going to be posted in comic form, and I have to learn a lot more about art before committing to anything of the sort (to say nothing of the fact that I'd need to have seen a lot more of TYBW to actually write it). Included here for completeness.

Chapter Nine: Yoshino Family Dinner
“There are cursed spirits known as special-grade potential apparitions,” said a patchwork curse with grey hair and heterochromatic eyes. “Cursed spirits are a collection of the cursed energy emitted by humans. Whether it actually exists or not, a shared image of fear makes it easy for a powerful curse to manifest”
“A shared image of fear?” A young boy with dark hair over one eye pondered on the meaning of the phrase. “You mean like famous monsters and ghost stories?”
“Yup,” confirmed the curse, “Like Toilet-bound Hanako-chan, the nine-tailed fox, and so on. Jujutsu sorcerers have registered them as special-grade potential apparitions and keep an eye out for them. The fact that they often categorize powerful, unidentified curses as potential apparitions makes it feel like that’s all they’re focused on. But people constantly fear more than just those fairytales, right?”
“Like natural disasters?” asked the teenage boy.
The curse smiled. “I love how stress-free talking to you is.”
The human blushed. “No, I’m not…”
“People…” The patchwork curse smirked. “People have always feared the earth, forests, oceans, storms, snow, night, fires, darkness, space, chaos, those parts of the existence they cannot control. Because the cursed energy directed toward these is far too big, they gained wisdom before they took shape and remained in hiding up until now. I’m proud to call nearly all of them my friends.”
“What kind of curse are you, Mahito-san?”
“A human one.”

“I’ve organized the reports from our windows on recent residuals, unnatural deaths, and disappearances,” said Nanami. Behind him, a map with arrows was pinned to the wall. “This should help us narrow down the culprit’s hideout to some extent.”
“Aw yeah! Are we storming in?” Itadori excitedly stood up.
“No, it’s still only to some extent,” said Nanami.
(Y/N) almost frowned. It was unlike Nanami to give briefings with only vague information. However, she trusted him so didn’t say anything.
“While I continue investigating this matter, I’d like you two to handle a different task,” said Nanami. He pinned a photo of a boy with dark hair covering one eye to the map. “This is the boy who was at the theater, Yoshino Junpei. Apparently, he goes to the same school as the victims.” He turned on a TV which showed a recording from security cameras. Yoshino could be seen running out of the theater. “Based on surveillance footage and how he carried himself, I believe it is unlikely that he is a curse user. However, if he’s related to the victims, that changes things.”
“Curse user?” asked Itadori.
“Evil jujutsu sorcerer,” said (Y/N).
Nanami nodded. “I’ve entrusted the process to Ijichi-kun, so I’d like you three to investigate Yoshino Junpei.”
Ijichi, Itadori, and (Y/N) saluted.
As they left the room, (Y/N) paused for a moment. “Please be careful, Nanami.”

“There he is,” said Itadori. He leaned towards the front seat of the car where Ijichi and (Y/N) sat. They were driving around Yoshino’s neighborhood and had finally found him.
“Casual clothes? Looks like he hasn’t attended school for some time,” said Ijichi.
He stopped the car at the side of the road. “We’ll get out of the car here.” They stood on the sidewalk. “Let’s go.”
They began following Yoshino. Itadori held a cage in his arms with two small curses in it. They would help determine whether or not Yoshino was A) a normal person who couldn’t see curses, B) someone who could see curses but was clueless on how to protect himself, C) someone who could see curses and easily use cursed techniques to exorcise them, or D) someone who could deal with curses easily and had skills higher than Grade 2.
(Y/N) watched as Yoshino was stopped by an older man. She couldn’t quite tell what was going on from here, but it was clearly a rather one-sided conversation.
“Stop!” Itadori jumped into action, holding the small curse in his hands.
(Y/N) blinked and sighed, walking after him. She would have to head over anyways since Yoshino could see the tiny curse.
Itadori flipped over the man and boy and tripped into a pole, hitting his head. “Damn! That hurts!”
“What? You a gymnast or something?” asked the man.
(Y/N) ignored him and went straight to Yoshino. “We have some questions for you. Please come with us.”
Yoshino was taken aback, and he glanced down at her uniform, trying to figure out where she came from.
“Hold on,” interrupted the rather sweaty man, “He and I were just talking. You’re rude!”
“I’ve been told,” said (Y/N).
“It’s a rather important matter,” said Itadori frankly.
“An important matter?” questioned the man, frowning, “You’re just a kid! What’s so important? And what uniform is tha—.”
“Plop!” Itadori pulled down his pants.
(Y/N) and Yoshino blanked in surprise.
“What are you doing, you brat?!” The man tried to pull his trousers back up, but Itadori’s grip was too strong. “Stop! Stop this!”
Itadori pulled the pants off completely and bolted. He disappeared down the street.
“Don’t run off with them!” cried the man. “W-Wait!” He struggled to his feet and ran after Itadori (though much more slowly).
“Is he usually like that…?” asked Yoshino hesitantly.
“Yes,” replied (Y/N).
“Alright! Now that that’s done, let’s go!” Itadori walked calmly up behind them.
“Huh?! That was fast! You already ran the entire lap?!” Yoshino was shocked about how fast the pink-haired boy had gone around the block. He glanced at (Y/N). “Are you like that, too?!”
“I am,” said (Y/N). Yoshino seemed pretty harmless, but (Y/N) didn’t trust appearances.
“You didn’t have to go through that,” said Yoshino, “You could’ve just dragged me away.”
“People are okay with that?” muttered (Y/N) to herself, frowning in confusion.
“Well, sure,” said Itadori, shrugging. “But you hate that guy, don’t you?”
Ah, so that’s why Yoshino was tense, thought (Y/N).
“How do you…” Yoshino was in awe, and a little intimidated, by the two in front of him.
“Just a hunch,” said Itadori. He rubbed his next. “Oh, was I wrong?”
“You’re not wrong,” admitted Yoshino.
(Y/N) tapped her fist on the palm of her hand in realization. “And having someone loiter in front of your house is weird, right?” She turned to Itadori for confirmation.
Itadori gave her a thumbs up. “Correct!”
(Y/N) brightened at having understood what someone else would feel in a situation.
Turning to Yoshino, Itadori said, “Come on, let’s head over there for now.” He pointed to where he meant. He and (Y/N) began walking.
“Sure.” Yoshino caught up to them quickly.
“I’m Itadori Yuuji by the way, and this is (L/N) (Y/N),” said Itadori in a friendly manner.
(Y/N) gave a tiny wave in greeting.
“Oh, I’m Yoshino Junpei,” said Yoshino nervously.
They stopped on the banks of a river. The sun was setting, casting a warm glow on the entire area. It was quite calm. However, there was serious business at hand with human lives involved. (Y/N) and Itadori tried to call Ijichi to inform him they were with Yoshino, but there was no luck.
Itadori leaned towards (Y/N). “Should we really be the ones asking him questions?”
(Y/N) shrugged. “I suppose we can. We just have to be careful about what we reveal.”
“Alright! Let’s just do it!” said Itadori impatiently.
“Go ahead,” said (Y/N), “He seems sensitive so I shouldn’t do it. I may say something wrong.”
Itadori sweat-dropped. At least she knows…kind of…she did just call him sensitive. He turned to Yoshino more seriously. “Listen, there were people who died at the theater you went to the other day. Did you happen to see anything?” He held up the tiny curse. “A creepy thing like this, maybe?”
“No, I didn’t,” said Yoshino. “I’ve only recently started seeing those things clearly.”
I’ve never heard of that happening. Plus, he really rushed out of the theater like he was following or escaping something…But what reason does he have to lie? thought (Y/N).
“I see,” said Itadori. He smiled. “Well, I’ve got nothing else to ask, then!”
“Huh? That’s it?” asked Yoshino.
“Please wait until our supervisor arrives, however,” said (Y/N). She tried to smile in an assuring manner like Itadori, but she had a feeling it wasn’t working.
“Yeah, sure,” said Yoshino.
“Thanks,” chirped Itadori. “Hey, what were you watching at that theater?”
“It was a repeat screening of an old movie. I doubt you’d know it if I told you,” said Yoshino quietly.
“Come on, just tell me!” The pink-haired boy grinned.
“Human Earthworm 3,” said Yoshino.
(Y/N) narrowed her eyes. She wasn’t a fan of those movies. She had seen it when she was younger (Gojo was a terrible person to put in charge of watching over kids), but it reminded her too much of how people constantly suggested her parents hadn’t actually been in love and (Y/N) was actually an experiment like the Death Paintings. Needless to say, (Y/N) was not a fan of the series. “Not a fun one,” said (Y/N).
“That one was super boring!” said Itadori. “I got hit so many times over that.”
“Honestly, it was,” agreed Yoshino. “But it’s just a splatter film, so maybe it’s our own fault for asking it to deliver more than that. But 2 was—.”
“But 2 was pretty good, right?” finished Itadori, excited.
(Y/N) tried to remember the differences between the films, but the storyline just blurred together.
“Yeah! Yeah, it was!” Yoshino brightened.
“It was the only one with a way you could enjoy it!” said Itadori.
“Too close to real life…” muttered (Y/N), shrugging. The creatures did resemble curses in a way, so she was right.
“You’ve seen the entire series?” Yoshino was excited to have people to talk to. “Do you two like movies?”
(Y/N) nodded.
“I’ve been watching a lot of them lately, for certain reasons,” said Itadori, “Though I haven’t been seeing them in theaters.”
“What? But the emotional impact of finding a good one at the theater is huge,” said Yoshino, “Even if on-demand is more convenient.”
“When was the last time I saw one in the cinema?” mused Itadori.
“I was ten,” said (Y/N). It’s been a long time.
“We should all go together next time!” said Itadori, smiling.
“Huh?” (Y/N) and Yoshino were surprised at the suggestion.
“Oh! Need my contact info?” asked Itadori, pulling out his phone.
Itadori and a nervous but happy Yoshino exchanged information.
“Oh, Junpei?” A woman appeared at the top of the riverbank.
“Mom,” said Yoshino.
“It’s unusual to see you out here,” said Yoshino’s mother. “Are these friends?”
“We just met, actually,” said Yoshino.
“We may have just met, but I think we can all be friends!” chirped Itadori.
“Really? I hope you get along well, then.” The woman held up a cigarette.
“Mom!” cried Yoshino, balling his fists. “I asked you…to quit smoking.”
“Oh, right, sorry,” said his mom, stamping out the cigarette, “I did promise not to smoke in front of you anymore.” She walked down to the little group. “What are your friends’ names?”
“Itadori Yuuji!” The pink-haired boy gave a friendly, excited way.
“(L/N) (Y/N).” The half-curse bowed in greeting.
“The green onion doesn’t suit your look,” said Itadori jokingly.
“Oh, you can tell?” asked the woman, amused. “I’m trying to be a woman who doesn’t look good with green onions.”
(Y/N) smiled slightly. She liked seeing someone, especially an older woman, be so friendly. (Y/N)’s few memories of her own mother were of her either being sweet to her or joking around with her father. She liked her mother, even if people told her she was a disgusting woman who married a curse. (Y/N) liked Yoshino’s mom, too. She had a warm but tough air around her, though obviously with faults like any human.
“What are you even talking about?” asked Yoshino.
“So, Yuuji-kun, (Y/N)-kun, care to join us for dinner?” asked his mom.
Yoshino stammered, “H-Hey! You’re just bothering them!”
“We’d love to join you!” blurted out (Y/N).
Itadori blinked at her, surprised at how open she’d been.
(Y/N) turned slightly red and coughed. “Only if we’re no trouble…” She had gotten overexcited at somebody being so readily hospitable and kind to her. And…the idea of eating with a family again was a dream of (Y/N)’s.
The kind woman laughed. “Of course not! Come on, we live near here.”

“And then?” asked Yoshino’s mother.
Itadori was telling funny stories that had even (Y/N) smiling widely. “So then Takashi-kun says, full of confidence, ‘This is the larva of an invasive species! It might be poisonous! Nobody touch it!’ So then I tried picking it up, and it turned out to be a konjac noodle from lunch!”
While Yoshino’s mother burst out laughing (she was a little tipsy), (Y/N) grinned and shook her head at Itadori’s antics. No wonder he was willing to eat Sukuna’s finger.
“You’re funny, Yuuji-kun! Here, do something funny with these!” The woman handed over a plate.
Soon enough, the boy was reenacting a movie while everybody enjoyed his dramatic act.
(Y/N) looked around at the group and smiled fondly. I believe this is what family feels like.
After dinner, Yoshino’s mom fell asleep at the table, so Yoshino put a blanket over her.
“Your mom’s really nice,” said Itadori.
(Y/N) nodded in agreement.
“Yeah,” said Yoshino with a tender smile. “What are your moms like?”
“Uh, I’ve never met her,” said Itadori, “Though I have a few faint memories of my father. But my grandpa was there for me.”
“I think my mother was kind.” (Y/N) shrugged. “I don’t remember her much.”
Yoshino blinked at them.
Before the scene could get more serious, Itadori’s phone vibrated in his pocket. “Oh, sorry, got a call,” he said. “Hello, Ijichi-san? Yeah, we’re fine. But we’re about to watch a movie. Okay. Two hours from now, then.” He put his phone away.
“You two are jujutsu sorcerers, right?”
(Y/N) was immediately on edge, tensing at Yoshino’s sudden question.
“Yeah,” answered Itadori.
(Y/N) deadpanned. I know he seems nice and harmless, but we can’t just give out that type of information. Too late now.
“Have you…ever killed someone?” asked Yoshino quietly, hesitantly.
“No,” said Itadori.
(Y/N) shook her head.
“But someday you’ll have to fight bad jujutsu sorcerers, right?” questioned the dark-haired boy. He put the movie into the DVD player. “What will you do then?”
“I still wouldn’t want to kill them,” said Itadori.
“I think I’d try not to, but I’ve never been in that situation,” murmured (Y/N).
“Why not? They’re bad people,” said Yoshino.
“It’s like…I just think, if I killed anyone, the option of ‘killing would force its way into my life,” explained Itadori, “The value of life would become ambiguous…I wouldn’t even understand the importance of those I care about anymore. And that scares me.”
“I’m afraid it would become too easy and tempting to kill,” admitted (Y/N), “If I can’t control myself, what else is there for me?” She was scared of losing the bit of humanity she possessed from being half-curse. But…isn’t that what she had been considering lately? What it meant for her to be human and curse at the same time? (Y/N) sighed. Everything was so complicated lately.

𝘼𝙣𝙜𝙨𝙩 is the ink I favour most. So, expect to see 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘦 a lot of it. Whether it is light or dark is up to your interpretation. 'Cause even I'm not sure. I just think it's sad.
Fluff? 𝙒𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚? Ah. That's a 𝘵𝘢𝘥 𝘣𝘪𝘵 more rare. It's just more or so difficult for me to conjure up. For me to come up with one feels like a blessing bestowed upon me.
Woah woah, hol' up! 𝙎𝙢𝙪𝙩? Good heavens. I do have ideas every now and then... But it's just not part of my craft. Maybe I will post some but, trust me, they are 𝘴𝘰 𝘴𝘰 badly written.
