Working on a fic where Tim is Bruce’s bio kid and the implications of that reveal.

To be fair, Tim figured it out when he was, like, 10 years old. Janet Drake was a social climber through and through so the way she avoided their most famous neighbor had always confused him.

Until he actually saw the man, of course.

The reporter airing out his family’s dirty laundry on channel 7 seems far too pleased with herself for his liking. She’s ruining Tim’s life, after all. You’d think she’d feel something. Anything like the soul-crushing dread he feels right now.

A flash of light catches his eye. It’s his phone flaring as alert after alert rushes in. There’s an old photo of him trending on twitter. It’s him at a gala, his hair slicked back and his face plastered with the biggest fake smile he’d been able to muster. Tam had done a good job with his makeup. You could barely see the dark circles. The photo is juxtaposed alongside one of a much younger-looking Bruce Wayne. The resemblance truly is uncanny.

God. All the distance he’s put between himself and his family-wasted.

He knows the phone isn’t going to stop ringing until he answers. He waits. Watches as the names ping his caller id.

Dick.

Dick again.

Tam.

Kon.

Bart.

Dick again.

Barbara.

Bruce-

Tim picks up the phone.

“You knew.”

“You didn’t?” Tim laughs humorously.

Bruce lets out a tired sounding sigh.

“Where are you?” Tim looks around at the state of his apartment. It’s no messier than usual but still probably not fit for company.

“I’d rather not say,” he says quietly. “It’s not like it means anything. Nothing would be different.”

Tim still wouldn’t be enough.

I can't remember if I made a post abt my mute Wally au but I'm thinking something like the creator knows the puppets are alive in some sense and is aware Wally is the most expressive of th3m all, the puppets pass through generations until eventually the get an owner who uses them for profit, obv they're aware of the secret and unlike his predecessors he doesn't like the creepy puppets and sows walked mouth shut so he doesn't talk

I'll flesh this out some more at a later date but someone liked an old post I made abt thinking of a mute Wally au and this just jumped out

A few tips for new Tumblr users wanting to write here

Yo if you're here from Reddit or Twitter or some other site and just wanted to give this a shot you may have seen some blogs that are dedicated to writing headcanons or short fics or even original works for their own OCs and you may be thinking "hey I wanna give that a shot! I like to write!" then I have some tips to make it easier on you and people who see your content.

1. First off, if you're writing a pretty long piece the you should probably put it under a read more, it'll look like this on mobile

and this on desktop

or you can write :readmore: on a line by itself and press enter.

2. Now if you're gonna write for a whole bunch of different fandoms and you wanna make a master list then I suggest making an actual list with the fandoms you write for and then making more lists with the actual content as a you go along because you can only have 100 links in one post (I know that sounds like a lot but as someone who has around 300 Transformers things written trust me you fill up a post quicker than you expect, especially if you take requests from other people). The way I typically do it is like this

The first pic is the MASTER master list that lists everything I write for and when they're underlined like that it means they're links. The second pic is after clicking the G1 link, it's a separate post that has the actual fics and headcanon links. Note the 6/100 in the tags, this is how I keep up with how many things I've added. You can of course just use the numbers options from here

or just number them manually from your keyboard like I'm doing with this post. Adding links has no barring on what else you add to the post so you can add yourself some fancy header or divider pics if you want.

3. Adding links! Links can look like this https://www.tumblr.com/wingwaver/721887224846778368/test-post-for-reasons?source=share or like this https://wingwaver.tumblr.com/post/721887224846778368/test-post-for-reasons depending on whether you're linking from mobile or desktop/browser Just highlight the text you wanna add a link to and a the little chain will move to the end, click it and paste your url you want to link to and press add link, then press post/save draft/save (whatever the blue button says)

Now you've successfully linked a post to another post!

4. Tagging! To get your fics and headcanons seen to build an audience you usually wanna tag the stuff correctly. If you're posting a fic about Miles Edgeworth and Phoenix Wright from Ace Attorney then you'll tag it with #Ace Attorney, #Miles Edgeworth, and #Phoenix Wright in the tags area. But it's also a good idea to mention if it's a ship or general fic in the tags too. If so then putting ship names and #Miles Edgeworth x Phoenix Wright and #Miles Edgeworth/Phoenix Wright in the tags will help everyone know this is a ship fic. Tagging with characters or fandoms that aren't apart of the fic just clogs the tags looking for content of said characters and fandoms so it's very looked down on here and will likely get some of your stuff reported for spam so only use the relevant tags. Also tagging for triggers can be tricky here because of how fucky tumblr is but please don't tag censor tags. Tagging things like #a**** or #a*use or even #abu$e doesn't work here because people who have #abuse blacklisted will be able to see this content because it wasn't tagged properly. Also if you're writing for OCs or reader inserts it's common courtesy to tag those appropriately too. Someone looking for a reader insert may not want to read an OC and vice versa. Also many people filter those out so try to add tags like #x reader, #*fandom name* x reader, and #*character name* x reader for easier filtering. Also people cruise those tags too so it'll help people who fo want to read that content find your stuff!

Well say hello toooo,Evil Everyone BUT wally

Aka. Welcome home is a show au,where wally is aware and everyone else in WH is not.

After the show got cancelled for some reason,after a specific time period (most likely after the shows script officially was supposed to stop running) everyone in the neighborhood gets dark impulses and just tries to eliminate eachother

Wally,being the only aware one (Aka.The person who stopped the creators of the show from destroying home and all its inhabitants, excpet one)

Having his own free will and consciousness allows him to not be caught up in the madness and finds out that once everyone,including himself has died,The neighborhood will reset and everything is essentially one big time loop

Basically

•Welcome Home is a TV Show that got canceled because as th3 show got more popular parents noticed dark udertones in the show from time to time,and qlso animation shows were getting more popular than streamlined puppet shows

•The show happened to be in stop motion rather than animation and so when the producer and writer were trying to get rid of the set and puppets that were thrown in a random storeroom,wally gained consciousness due to a ripped arm,the freed most of his stuffing (that arm currently stays limp most of the time)

•After 'Murdering' The producer and writer,wally then took it upon himself to draw and essentially trap the neighborhood into a drawing (using magic voodoo shit idfk,he just william afton'd it) where they would be immortal and forever exist ig(The puppets can still be possessed by the neighborhood but wally is the only one who does this as hes the only one aware)

•The Neighborhood has a time limit,or theyre personqlities do. For as long as the script of Welcome Home is around the Characters in the neighborhood stay theyre written personalities, unable to change or grow in any way (and when wally tries to interrupt events and change personalities,home primates to basic functions and tries to reset him alone (His mind i mean,not kill him. When that happens he stays unaware until the murder spree happens,then the loop restarts and he's aware again)

•Noone but wally is Aware of the loop but the neighbors sometimes get 'Dreams' (They call them dreams with a different way of saying it because they dont know what nightmares are,muchless the words) that show small snippets of a specific loop,but it always ends happy instead of with stuffing on the ground (Stuffing = Blood)

•Home is an entity that exists with a soul to merely be the writer of WH,The writers soul also got trapped but seeing as tehre were no 'other' puppets he got trapped as the soul for home. except in the emotion he was feeling before wally killed him(Fear,Adoration for his creations, anger at the cancellation and wt the producer for ripping wally,and Sadness,deep unbearable sadness) Those are the only emotion home can feel

•Wally Physically cannot frown or do anything with his mouth other than smile,It was something done earlier on in the show but since he's a puppet the creators thought it would be better to sow him mouth into an everlastin smile,they contemplated what to do about him eating things,but eventually decided on the blink and eat method and hoped kids would just pass it off as a quirky thing idk

The way the AU is means everyone is technically NOT evil,its just that theyre official life expectancy/storyline has run out.

The characters with more screen time and script like idk,Julie and Sally are able to keep sane for a while longer than others (which in turn causes the ones with less script to last a littl longer before script madness) but they do end up with strange and twitchy behavior

A fix for this happens when wally paints.

Whenever wally makes huge Neighborhood portraits of everyone in different outfits or with different hobies to theyre current ones he's able to alternate the timeline. and sometimes if the change is long enough it transfers over to the next loop. (This usually takes a few days) and whenever he does a painting it causes him to grow significantly distant from the Neighborhood,The painting has to be done almost non stop with no breaks,Similar to death note.

The timeline of the script is:___.

So far there has been:___ Loops. (I havent worked out these parts yet because im not sure of clowns timeline for WH yet,i plant to fo the script length from how long the shows been running plus like 5 months idk how long it was,then devide the loops)

So far wally has made 25 large portraits.

So far he has completed 10.

Only 5 of the ten has been timeline changing.

Wally's official goal is to be able to change the timeline enough thag the loops will stop completely. (He's still unsure as to why the loops happen.

Each loop spits out a different au. Wally is unable to differenciate anyone in the au but himself,and like i stated before if anyone deviates from events

So say if wally dyed his hair when he was supposed to be in a Big play that sally wrote which changes his role and the play as a whole?

Home resets wally and the play will go mostly back on track.

This was just a huge ass rant that i made while watching a welcome home gacha reaction video,and i dont remember how i got the idea, but i kinda wanna expand on it

anyway like 2-3 hours ago i had a thought

so i was scrolling through tiktok

and i came upon a video,it was a funny video, just a bit abt how wally cant chew food and if he put it in his mouth it falls right back out

and so the mute wally au was born :D

I dunno if I'll make it a different au or just a lil hc for my Script Madness AU but the basic thought for the au is 2 things

Either we get a saiki k situation where wally is selectively mute and communicates through a form of telepathy (which also comes with a few lil abilities, like his ability to communicate with home)

or we could go down the route where everyone in the neighborhood just automatically knows sign language bcs its convenient for wally and the other neighbors

Now i wanna delve into the neighborhood lore,In the middle of my rant i just came upon a hc that the Characters in the neighborhood even if theyve only actually known eachother for abt 5 minutes they automatically know basic things like name,age and life altering disabilities and how to help with them

If i did SM! Mute Wally it would be unwilling muteness,remember how i mentioned his mouth was sewed while he was a physical puppet? well it transferred over to the animated world and so wally is permanently mute

He never painted himself that way but all physical disadvantagous things that happen to his physical gorm and all o theyre forms affect them in Home aswell so wally's muteness and his limp arm and bcs his mouth is sewed into a smile and his arm is limp bcs it was ripped in an earlier altercation :))
