Theme: superpowered society (or just like three people sometimes)
Please Make Sure To Read All Tags Thoroughly Before Reading, some fics are the fluffiest and some are a bit dark

Number One Villain's Waffle House by Not_That_Dude (on-going)
Tommy is a villain called Borrower who can steal powers for a limited amount of time. This is his journey through becoming the number one villain, finding himself a family, defeating a brainwashing Egg, and overthrowing a corrupt Government for one of his acquaintances, while also running the adored Waffle House of the city at sixteen years old.
Not in that order.
But With Everybody Watching Us (Our Every Move) We Do Have Reputations by whoknowsidont (completed, only epilogue left)
The story of how Tommy became New York City's first and only superhero. All while trying to make amends with his broken family.

Or, The Syndicate took down the Heroes Association. Tommy's an ex-hero who has no idea what he's supposed to do now, especially without Dream's guidance. Help comes from unexpected people, namely ex-villain and retired leader of The Syndicate, The Angel of Death himself. And his annoying sons.
Technoblade's Entirely Average Babysitting Gig by opheliabloo (completed)
Techno takes on a sketchy babysitting gig to make some money. He’s not entirely sure they’re not trying to murder him.
The Oath of Hippocrates by Melatonin_High (on-going)
Superhero AU where Tommy is a doctor and Wilbur is the villain, Tragedy, who also happens to work at a bakery.

Tommy--who went into hiding after becoming one of the most feared villains in L'Manberg--accidentally befriends the new big bad supervillains, except he doesn't know that.

Where Jack Manifold is just a beginner vigilante named Rocket, who’s gradually growing in fame after a fight against a top hero went viral on the internet, and Jack’s little brother, Tommy, is painfully oblivious to his older brothers alter ego.
Oh! And not to mention that Tommy seems to befriend literally every villain in Essempi (in their civilian form) and the villains, for some odd reason, believe that means Jack is also their friend by association??

Just Keep Talking by whoknowsidont (one-shot)
Tommy gets trapped underneath a collapsed building after a hero-villain fight gone wrong. It just so happens that the notorious villain 'Angel of Death' is trapped there with him.
(Or, Two guys talk about family, morality, and struggling to survive in a hero oriented world, as they wait to be saved from the rubble.)

Tommy-Centric Fanfiction Recommendations
I’m pretty sure I’ve made a post like this before, probably with some of the same fics, but I can’t find it for the life of me.
First, the classics
Passerine
Completed, 7 chapters, major character death, royalty AU, God AU, SBI-centric, has a prequel and a couple of sequels which I haven’t personally read. Niki, Puffy and Tubbo also make appearances as well as Dream and Sapnap
If you haven’t read passerine you’re either new to the fandom or you live under a rock. Even SAD-ist has read passerine. Even Niki read it.
DO NOT read this without taking a good look at the tags and the warnings. It’s a very, very heavy fic
I don’t really need to say much - it’s a beautiful, tragic masterpiece that I read across two days, but if you tried hard enough you could finish it in one. The characters are simultaneously so different and so similar to their canon ones. It had me sobbing at 2 am and I haven’t recovered but this fic made me feel very seen, despite never having reallly experienced the things the characters went through I found each one relatable and found many quotes applicable to my own life.
It’s hard to pinpoint a favourite part because taking any single bit out of the perfectly sewn together story feels almost like a disservice. But one of my favourite quotes has to be: “Wilbur couldn’t remember it happening, but somewhere along the way of studying warfare and politics, of staring up at the throne that would one day be his, of learning how to be a prince, he’d forgotten how to be a son.” From chapter two.
TommyInnit’s Clinic for Supervillains
Completed, has a prequel and a couple of other bits in the extended universe of it that I haven’t read, 26 chapters, hero/villain/vigilante au, mainly crime boys centric, but features the rest of SBI as well as bench trio and the Dream Team
Warning for derealisation/unreality in one chapter and general warning for violence throughout.
I’ve read a few vigilante aus and I’ve loved each and everyone one of them but this one stood out as it kept me hooked the whole way through, even waiting between updates I still was able to remember what had happened which has been a struggle for me with other vigilante aus for some reason.
It’s a great balance of light-hearted and heaviness that makes it incredibly fun to read. The characters and their morals are so fascinating, as is trademark for any AU like this. Tommy has a lot of internal conflict.
The relationships between each character are really interesting to me so that’s one thing I really like about this fic especially.
“Tommy’s jaw clenched as he thought back to eating McDonald’s on the roof with Siren only a few weeks before. Obviously he couldn’t tell Wilbur about that. It would just raise too many questions.”
Now, my personal favourites
Still Life
Completed, one chapter containing over 30000 words. Tommy centric but features SBI and Niki pretty heavily too. Fundy, Eret, George and Jack also make appearances. Runaway AU set in a small town in the early 80s of America.
Reread this fic last night and it’s really interesting how Meridies is able to cultivate such a rich story in a oneshot. It’s by no means short but it’s also nowhere near as long as anything else on this list. I dunno, it’s the perfect length. It says everything it needed to say.
Once again the characters in this are stunning. The entire town kind of takes Tommy under their wing and it’s a lovely read. It gives me a certain kind of nostalgia for a home I don’t have, and it made me long for that kind of community.
It explores the idea of childhood in a really nice way too. Tommy’s a kid and he gets treated like a kid, which gets on his nerves until it doesn’t. And every now and again the other characters treat him like his age affects his intelligence, and then they realise it doesn’t. But he’s always reminded that he is allowed to act his age. B
This fic tells you nothing and everything about Tommy’s childhood at the same time. The ins and outs of what it’s like aren’t explained but the little he does say explains everything you need to know and even Techno remarks on that. That scene is actually a little jarring because Techno asks Tommy why he doesn’t talk anymore, but since the reader is getting Tommy’s internal monologue it feels like he’s saying more than he is in truth. I love that - you as a person can feel like you’re saying everything you need to say but so much of it never reaches the people around you.
I love the way it explores human attachment and the sacrifices we make for people. The way that leaving a place sounds so easy but it can be the hardest thing in the world.
This is another fic that speaks to me. This Tommy is a kid who’s been bashed for being young and when he stopped acting like a child he couldn’t grow into himself. Now, he’s lost and doesn’t know who he even is.
“Then Techno was saying I can’t do this anymore out loud, and Tommy was struck with the sudden realization that the three of them were caught in a tangled web of their own creation. They were tangled so tightly they could not see which way would loosen the knot and which would pull the knot tighter. Tommy needed one of them to let go.”
Post-Mortal
Completed, 4 chapters. Crime boys centric but also features bee duo very heavily. Tommy’s actually dead in this one. Canon divergence set right before the prison arc.
This fanfic is one of those ones that I’ve only read once but certain parts have stuck with me. Wilbur makes slow progress toward recovery and relearns how to live.
Tommy is in this fic, through flashbacks and a disembodied ghost who is in a much happier place than his canon limbo was. This is probably the least Tommy-centric of the Tommy-centric fics but I’m counting it anyway.
One of my favourite Tommy related parts is from one of the many, many flashbacks. “Tommy held him on the forest floor. That was the most he could have done, and yet his most was not nearly enough to keep Wilbur from shattering.” This is from chapter two.

Okay so this fic hasn't been updated in months and only has 2 chapters but I wish it had more. This author's writing is so addictive?
Like its in third person but is told as though its from Tommys POV.
It does have Bad Dad Phil as well as Dead Mom Kristen and such so be warned, even if it's not much so far.
What chapters that have been posted aren't to dialog heavy.
There's a playlist!! I like it so yeah.
Something I noticed in the second chapter is that Tommy refers to Phil as Phil, but Kristen is always referred to as his mother or his Mother showing her importance to him. Techno is there just kinda, not? Idk he's focused on his studies is all. Meanwhile Wilbur up and left at 18 and cut contact so yeah.
Pretty sure it's a modern magic au, Tommy is a shapeshifter, Phil is an avian and Techno and Wilbur are tagged to be piglin hybrids.
Even if there isn't much I love that way its written so I highly recommend checking it out.
The author of that also has a small one shot that's Tommy focused of an apocolypsed world and that ones angst heavy without a happy ending but is really nice so check that out as well

All of my tabs died like a month ago and I wasn’t able to recover them but I just got a vague memory of a fic that I really liked but didn’t get the chance to bookmark on ao3 pls help
It was a dmsp fic where Technoblade went to a book club that had the rest of SBI & Nikki but all of them were actually vampires & they all thought he was a vampire too but actually he’s just an introverted nerd with a really bad sleep schedule who likes to wear black but none of them realized until like forever into the fic, and he didn’t stop coming (because it was very obvious that they were vampires and he definitely knew) because Wilbur’s book recommendations were good. I’m pretty sure it was a complete fic too, which I remember because I usually tend to not read those because I get sad that there’s no more, which does apply to this fic too because it was really good. Tubbo was also there I think

Philza is closed-off, hardened from centuries without aging while watching his friends turn to dust, taking jobs under the moniker Angel of Death to try and feel something again.
Technoblade is a brute of a piglin with more scars than unbroken skin and a penchant for uncovering trouble, hot on the trail of… something. He’s exactly the sort of routine job that should consume a few weeks of Phil’s endless time, before he’s forced to find something else to waste away doing.
(Such a shame, then, that the Angel of Death should meet his match.)
Or: A fanfiction in which an elaborate AU is crafted as an excuse to focus entirely on Technoblade and Philza's relationship.

okay I really want to read this one now oop don't mind me. Phil and Techno's relationship tag and Phil and Wilbur's are the only ones on the fic so despite the other character tags I'm guessing it's about them mostly

Top DSMP Crack Fics
In no particular order, here are my favorite (shorter) DSMP crack fics.
1. Ranboo Beloved VS. The State by 7CxRhye: this is a transcript of Ranboo being tried for culinary crimes against humanity. Several moments had me in hysterical tears
2. exile is made 1000% funnier by stressed_sock: the whole of the SMP band against Dream to protect Tommy. This one also had me laugh crying.
3. June First by Misterghostfrog and SilverWing15: Superhero au told entirely through Twitter posts. Does a great job on storytelling through non-traditional means.
4. THE ADVENTURES OF THESEUS by orpheusaki: 2 part series, modern version of Tommy moving into Techno’s house without his consent. Is Techno in the mafia? Nobody knows.
5. TommyInnit Commits the Poggest Crime! (feat. the VERY BEST animal sidekicks!) by edthefatmagicturtle: Tommy steals a lift from a Walmart with the help of a warthog. Sbi are called in as heroes and fail miserably.
