Ostara Dreaming
"Use this blend before bed to dream of love - especially the night before the spring equinox.
3 drops Roman chamomile essential oil (Chamaemelum nobile) (preferred) or Cape chamomile essential oil (Eriocephalus punctulatus) for luck, sleep, love
1 drop jasmine absolute (Jasminum officinale) for love, prophetic dreams
5 drops lavender essential oil (Lavandula angustifolia) for love, peace, protection
1 drop Turkish rose absolute (Rose damascena) or rose geranium essential oil (Pelargonium graveolens) for love, dreams
Springtime is when minds drift toward love. Spring flings, first romances, and vow renewals all have their place in the spring dreaming. Mix all oils, and diffuse 1 drop synergy per 100 ml water.
For massage, mix 15 drops synergy per ounce of carrier oil (a good all-purpose oil is sweet almond) plus a drop or two of vitamin E to preserve the mix."
-Blackthorn's Botanical Magic by Amy Blackthorn
Edit: NOTE: Essential oils and absolutes can be expensive, and this book has shown to present a few costly recipes, so take them with a grain of salt. I personally use oil infusions rather than essential oils because of chemical sensitivity, and it tends not to be of high cost comparatively. I take all of these recipes as a suggestion of correspondence rather than something I absolutely must follow. It's better to get creative and use what you have on hand rather than spend a ton of money on some oils you'll only use once or twice.

I dont have tarot cards no more (i has ro return it to my mom) so I asked Apollo to show me a message in my dreams.
The guy who I had a huge crush or rather I was in love with ( I was manic!) on in my teens appeared.
What I take from this is:
1. He might come back into my life, as a potential friend.
2. I might get closure
3. I still have unresolved s feelings and I need to let it go
Ig we just have to wait and see!

How I do dream divination
Tumblr media
One way that I love to do divination is by analyzing my dreams! This can be very hard, because the first step is to remember your dreams. It’s a skill that takes a while to get the hang of, but once you do have it. It will help with opening a new door of divination experience to you.
What is dream divination?
First let’s go over what dream divination is and isn’t. Dream divination is exactly what it sounds and reads like. Doing divination with the dreams that you remember or that stick out to you. Dream divination is not divinating every dream. Sometimes you have dreams that are meant to be interpreted and sometimes you dream to just dream. The brain is weird and amazing at the same time, but not everything is spiritual and is just your brain just doing brain things.
Is dream divination safe? Is it beginner friendly?
Is it safe? Yes and no. Don’t worry you won’t get hurt physically. But, I believe that when we are sleeping we are at one of our most vulnerable states spiritually. It is to me like basically opening a door to let in the spirits you wish to communicate with, this could be deities, guides, angels, ancestors, etc. It only really becomes “unsafe” when you don’t close that door or have a bouncer by the door letting in who can enter and keeping out who can’t. What will happen if you don’t close that door or you don’t have a filter? In my experience is that some spirits or energies will enter my space and basically feed off me while I’m sleeping. I might get nightmares, or really weird, uncanny type dreams. And the next morning I’m more tired than I normally would be. But, nothing physical has ever happened to me. So, is it beginner safe? Yes, BUT ONLY if you know how to do basic protection.
Why do I do dream divination?
I personally love dream divination. It is something that not only works me spiritually, but mentally as well. When I am doing dream divination I am testing my memory as well as my interpretation skills. I am testing my knowledge on symbols, omens, and helping my memory improve while doing so. My spirit team which consists of my deities, guides, and spirits I work with on either the regular or have a huge impact on my practice seem to prefer communicating this way. They send me signs of lessons or messages they have for me, they will send dreams of offerings they want from me. My guides actually came to me in a dream, to answer some questions that I had for them. Aphrodite and a nature spirit both have sent me dreams of offerings and offerings rituals to tell me what they wanted.
How to do dream divination:
1. Set up some night time protections. This will not only help put a filter up for who can come talk to you, but it might also help you feel more relaxed and safe before bed. So win-win. This can be done with something basic like a crystal or little bag of protective herbs. I would also recommend using stones or herbs for divination, specifically for prophetic dreams, later to help encourage more dreams to get more practice. But, only after doing it a couple times on your own so you understand how you do dream divination.
2. Set an intention. Before, falling asleep I announce either in my head or out loud that I wish to communicate with (insert spirit) tonight in my dreams. And for them to send me signs that I will understand and recognize in my dream message. This will help whatever spirit you wish to communicate with to know you want to specifically talk to. I asked for signs that I will understand and recognize because it helped build my understanding on what to pay attention to in a dream.
3. Fall asleep, specifically REM sleep if possible. You get dreams at any point, but you get your most vivid dreams in REM sleep. But, do not worry. If you find if difficult to get into REM sleep or don’t have the most vivid dreams during REM sleep, you can still do dream divination. It can help if you know how to lucid dream, I’ve always been able to do it, but it took some time to actually get a good grip on the skill to use it to my advantage. This is not required, but might help. I’ve found that I’ve become more aware and remember more when I’m lucid dreaming. You might want to try learning that skill to try in combination with dream divination, just to see what it does for you. If you can’t do it or don’t want to, you don’t have to.
4. Figure out how your dream divination works. When you do dream divination, it is really important to be in tune with your intuition in some way. I actually find it very hard to be intuitive, so I understand if you have trouble with this. The best way to get into touch with your intuition is listening to your body. But, that’s another post for another day. When you have figured out you intuition process, apply that to your dream divination. I realized after years of doing it, mine is right when I wake up. You know the couple of seconds where you are the grumpiest person in the world if someone wakes you up too early? Yeah, that stage, is when I’m the most intuitive. When I woke up from meeting my guides I instantly thought “I just met my guides” when I had my offering dreams I thought “Aphrodite wants this”. I then felt myself reaching for my phone to write it down. I believe that whatever you remember from these dreams where you have a “this was a dream message or divination” is a message. Anything that sticks out in your memory, like the rest is murky but this one or these few parts is your message. From the smallest details to the biggest.
5. WRITE IT DOWN! This is the second most important step right behind protection. Write down your dreams. Trust me, you will not remember the details like you do 10 minutes from now or after your shower or after breakfast. Write it down immediately. Save yourself the headache.
6. Interpret. This is the fun part. From what you have written down, now is the time to pull out books, websites, other people‘s experiences. If you had a conversation with a cat look up what a cat’s significance in dreams are and what they mean in general and in other cultures, not to take their interpretation but it is always good to know, then think about the conversation. What were you talking about? How were you having the conversation? Were you interrupting the cat? Was the cat interrupting you? Think of questions like that and find the answers to them if you can.
Happy dreaming! ✨🌙🔮

Is it just me, or does anyone else here dissect their dreams while they're dreaming? Like, I will be having a dream and in my dream I will see something and tell myself (IN DREAM ME'S MIND) to take note of what I saw because it was probably important in helping figuring out the meaning of my dream.
Or I'll be dreaming and see something and go "Oh this means that. This dream is about x, y, z. I probably need to remember this when I wake up."
PLEASE tell me someone else does this to?! 😭

A work on the uses of the psalms in circulation in ritual magic circles includes the use of the fourth psalm for dream provocation. The psalm advises the reader to spend the night in quiet meditation, asks to see the light of God’s face, and concludes with the author lying down to sleep secure in God’s protection. The magical ritual involves writing a portion of the psalm with certain magical characters on a tile or potsherd (testa). This is then to be placed under the sleeper’s head.
No indication is given as to why the operator might want to dream, what kind of dream it might be, what the operator might do with it, or how it might be interpreted.

Weightless Soul
Soar in my dreams
Dancing iridescent winged serpents
Mingle in flocks
Shed tears and angel feathers
Amber sky holding crimson beaches
Men of ivory and gold
Toil curiously in fields and towns
Beneath
But our open sea-sky awaits them too
On a day when we all feel weightless
The Day of our Grand Ballet

It's very rarely I dream about the gods, so when I have visions or dreams that consist of their presence in some form, I pay attention. Perhaps these dreams mean nothing, perhaps they do. It's hard to tell if it is anything other than my own head. However, sometimes, especially the extreme coherent ones where I'm pushed to the point of awareness but don't wake up. I pause, I wonder, I think. I am still skeptical, but part of me wonders how true it is, or if it has truth to it.
I always take divination or anything divine related with a bit of skeptism because I think it's healthy. There's just certain things, however, where I do a double take or have a wonder about it because it's so out of place that I question the significance. Like ooookkaaaay that was weird, Kay I'm just gonna continue going on while thinking about this then..

Hi there, I know you dabble in all kinds of things, and I was wondering if you or someone who follows you could help me with a question. I've been having some absolutely banana bonkers dreams, and I usually don't put much stock into stuff like that, but these feel so different. Last night while dreaming I was told "this is your last chance" and I'm kinda rattled by it. Am I over thinking it, or?
So I have, on a few occasions, received prophetic dreams.
The example I often use is that in September 2019, I fell asleep suddenly and woke up from a nap where there was "a bad flu" that winter and my partner and I couldn't leave for many weeks. I told my partner and asked for room in the budget to build a pantry and buy extras of things we used regularly. She, having seen other dreams come to pass, didn't question it, found room in the budget, and I went to work. Guess what I was I was grateful for in March 2020?
But I have wild and ominous dreams frequently. I've had dreams where I've died a blue million ways. I've had dreams I just couldn't shake for a week or more. But I knew they weren't prophetic.
The problem on relying on dreams for messages is that if you don't already have a practice associated with it, a dream could mean anything.
In my experience, if dreams are going to be a way a spirit or force sends messages, they start when the stakes are lower. They give you a chance to see what qualities of the dream mean you should pay attention to it. OR they confirm a dream with several non-mundane synchronicities if the stakes are higher.
If you don't have a dream divining practice established, I'd assume it's anxiety unless you're able to confirm it with one or more types of divination you're more skilled in. Be careful though. Confirmation bias is real. If you're not skilled in accounting for your bias in readings, I recommend getting someone else to read for you.
Dream divining can be a tricky practice but quite useful. It reminds me a little bit of scrying. It's the kind of method that can really only be developed over many years of personal use. Patterns are key and you need to practice often in order to start noting those patterns. They're also highly personal meaning while you can chat about the basics with others, most of it is a personal journey.
Step one is generally making a habit of at least recalling dreams the morning after. Ideally, writing them down or voice recording them to make notes on later. Lucid dreaming or trance work can be a good next step.
I wish you luck and hope this helps some!

Hello.
I have a piece of dream feeling-tone and imagery that has recurred through many, many dreams that I need help understanding.
Very often in my dreams, everything around me is broken, useless, or very old. There are many times where I am inside a building or house, and it is full of garbage, or random old objects like you would see at a low end flea market. Things that are filthy and ruined, that no one would ever buy. Sometimes even the buildings themselves are derelict, abandoned or crumbling.
In these dreams I feel deeply uncomfortable. I know something is wrong, and I am trying to get away from all this filth and brokenness, but it is everywhere I go.
I did have a period of my life where I lived in very poor conditions like this, but it is not like this for me now. Can you help me figure out why I am carrying this in my dreams?
I will Absolutely pay you for your time and effort.
Thank you for reading, and in advance if you decide to engage.
Hey,
Sorry friend, for my long reprieve and the amount of time this took me.
As I've said on other dream interps on this blog, I often find a house to be a representative of our mental state or a specific state of mind we can find ourselves in, and is home to specific memories, experiences or feelings.
What that state of mind may be can often be determined by the kind of house or building it takes the form of- and also by what is inside it.
The nature of the items inside the house makes me wonder if you are visiting an area of your subconscious in which a variety of memories and thoughts have been almost, I would say, compartmentalized. A sort of chaotic area of the mind in which you store things that you may not find to be serving you but are holding onto. Perhaps, regardless of the fact that they are no longer serving you, you are unable to completely let go for sentimental reasons or simply because you don't really know where to begin. A form of spiritual and mental clutter.
I will say, without full context to some of the dreams in which you experienced this, it's difficult to say what it's overall spiritual significance is.
Feel free to message if you have any questions. I honestly thought about you a lot in my absence and I hope you're doing well.
