“Where did she come from?” Dragon asks as he stares at the running child, her tail trailing behind her as she ran
“She flew into the ship a while ago, said she was exploring,” Ivankov answers as he watches the girl jump into Koala’s hands, laughing
“I’ve never seen something like her in all my years!” Koala grins at the child as she curls up on her shoulder
“Nor have I, I don’t ever remember seeing one of her kind in my life,” Sabo speaks up as he leans in closer to get a better look at the girl
She leans back from koala, wiggling out of her grasp and flapping her wings flying in front of Sabo
“Whoa there, aren’t you cute?” Sabo glances at the child with a slight smile on his face, reaching a hand out towards her
She furls up in a ball, beaming at his comment, still keeping herself up in the air, her cheeks tinted pink
“Thank you~.”
“You have scales on your cheeks… are you a dragon girl?” Sabo asks, still reaching his hand out carefully toward her
She unfurls herself, leaning into his touch and allowing him to feel the scales on her cheek
“Im Dragon Hybrid; I guess that makes me a dragon girl,” she says, thinking about it
“A dragon girl… that’s pretty incredible,” Sabo murmurs, smiling softly at the girl as he lightly runs a finger across her cheek
“Are you a Dragon Man? They called you Dragon. Are you a cool dragon? Can you breathe fire? Or are you a water dragon? Does your form like a serpent?” She rambles, flying in front of dragon excitedly
“She’s energetic,” Dragon says before sighing as he watches the child and rubbing his temples as he watches her buzz around
“I think she’s adorable,” Koala gushes with a grin on her face
“No. I am not a dragon; My name is Monkey D. Dragon.”
“Awe, no dragon? Nothing?”
“What do I look like a Dragon to you?” Dragon sighs, rubbing his hand down his face as he stares at Alexandra
“Hmmm,” she thinks as he circles him
“Yeah, kinda do.”
“Please tell me how I look like a dragon,” Dragon asks with a scoff in his tone
“You remind me of some of the grumpy dragons; they have that same scowl you have right now.”
“That is quite an interesting way to describe someone,” Dragon replies, shaking his head with a slight grin
“She is an interesting child, that’s for certain” Sabo speaks up, glancing at her curiously while she circles his captain
He grins as he calls her over
“Check this out,” he says, lighting his hand on fire
She awes at the sight
“Are you a dragon?”
“Just an ability granted to me by my devil fruit” He smiles, returning his hand to its original state
“The mera mera fruit! Somehow both me and my brother have it.” ” He continues, excited about demonstrating his abilities
She marbles at his numerous tricks and fire abilities that he keeps showing her
She frowns as nightfall falls; hours had gone quickly as she went from member to member with her usual antics
At one point even giving Ivancov a heart attack as they casually started coughing out golden coins when they had asked her how she bought food for herself.
“Is this not how you guys normally get these shiny things?” She had questioned, much to the shock and horror of some of the crewmates
“Aww, I have to get going now.”
“You’re going?” Koala looks at her disappointedly; she had enjoyed being around the child
“Mmhm, I have to keep going if I want to explore and meet more places and people. Im sure I‘ll see you again 'cause we're both moving around.”
“Well, I look forward to seeing you again then.”
“Goodbye, be careful on your travels, alright?” Sabo says with a soft smile before reaching out to gently ruffle her hair before she takes off
“And don’t get yourself into too much trouble!” Ivankov calls after the girl before turning to the others,
“Well, she was a pleasant surprise” he grins
“I didn’t expect a child to just wander into our ship,” Dragon chuckles while rubbing his head
Tumblr media
Reader had now somehow found themselves aboard the Moby Dick, she was tired from her travels and needed to land, and the ship happened to be the closest.
She sneaked her way to the storage room so she could sleep the night away, and she did until she was interrupted when two of the ship's commanders descended into the storage room in search of more food to restock the kitchen. Ace accidentally knocks into one of the boxes, startling awake the dragon girl; he stares at her for a while as she stares back.
“Thatch, are you thinking what im thinking?”
“Yep, old pops is gonna throw a celebration when he hears we have got ourselves a kid on board.”
She stares at them for a second and smiles
Ace chuckles before leaning down in front of you.
"What's your name, kid?" he says, grinning.
“Im reader!” She replies, her wings flapping gently behind her
"Well, hey there, Reader. I'm Ace. And that's Thatch," he says, gesturing to the man standing next to him.
She grins and waves at them excitedly
Ace laughs and picks her up.
"What are you doing stowing away on our ship, anyway? It's not like you could even fit in these boxes. You know, most stowers usually just do it so that they can rob our ship. But the thing is, I don't see any weapons on you." Thatch comments, observing her
“Im not stowing away! Im exploring!” The pout,
“And I don’t need any weapons! I got these!” She says as she wacks her tail and wings and gently headbutts Ace with her horns
Ace laughs as she headbutts him.
"You're pretty feisty, huh? That's a good trait for a pirate. And you say you're not a stowaway or a robber, but you're definitely a bit of a troublemaker, aren't you?"
“Im not a Pirate either.”
Thatch chuckles, a bit confused.
"You're not a pirate? Well, what are you then? A marine? A merchant? Or even a traveler?" he asks.
“Umm, I ‘m Reader!”
"Well, okay then. And how old are you, Reader?" he asks.
“8!”
Ace laughs, looking at Thatch
"Eight? Now I really want to take her to Pops. Because I can already tell that he's gonna love you, kiddo." He says, glancing back at her
“Popsicle?”
They snicker
"Popsicle? No, no, no, no. Pops. Our captain. Whitebeard? He's probably gonna get a kick out of finding a stowaway as adorable as you." Thatch explains
“Not a stowaway!”
"Okay, okay, okay. Fine, fine. You're not a stowaway. You're just an adorable little kid who decided, at eight years old, to explore on her own. Not to mention, you just decided to explore the ship of the Whitebeard Pirates, of all places.”Ace says, fixing his previous statement for the small girl
She nods, pleased with his description
Tumblr media
Sabo was so wholesome here 🥹, Also reader is a lowkey menace in this one lmao, let me know if I should continue this, add more to the whitebeard crew and/or add different crew’s as well.

Callum Turner X Actress! Reader
Summary: Shooting a sex scene as a couple can lead to some stuff...
Warning: +18/ smut/ voyeurism/ public sex/ fingering/ unprotected sex/ Swearing/ use of Y/n/ nudity/
Word count: 1.2k
A/n: Thank you whoever wrote that request! <3
Tumblr media
After they got together, filming scene together was more fun, especially the sex scenes. Which that was what they were going to shoot today, she was nervous because Callum suggested that they had sex on set, while filming. Y/n was curious, she wanted to see what it would be like to have people watching them while they had sex. When the costume designer finished the last touch on her outfit, she looked at it in the mirror, it was beautiful, it was a one piece, made in white lace that was see through. She had a thong that matched her skin color, so that no one saw her private parts. She made her way on set, where they weren’t that many people. When they filmed a love scene, they would only allow the people that are really important to the set, not wanting to have a crowd of people watching the actors having sex.
‘’So, Y/n, your character comes in Bucky’s room, to surprise him. You know what you need to say?’’ The director asks. She nodded. ‘’Action!’’ Y/n slowly walked into the room, in her character mindset of course. Callum was pretending to be asleep, excited to film with his girl. The floor cracked; it was supposed to do so. Callum woke up and looked at Y/n. ‘’Rose, what are you doing here?’’ he asked with an American accent. She swallowed and cleared her throat. ‘’I, uh, couldn’t sleep’’ she said, with a seductive voice. Callum let his eyes trail all over her body, she was beautiful. ‘’Why?’’ He breathed out. ‘’Couldn’t stop thinking about you’’ she whispered. She took the lingerie off, slowly, like it was written. She walked towards the bed, slowly, making sure to sway her hips. Callum seated at the side of the bed, so she’ll be standing between his legs. When she was in this position, she took his hands in her face. Bringing him closer to her face, their lips were close to the other. ‘’You thought about me?’’ He breathed as she nodded. ‘’What did you think about exactly?’’ He kissed her exposed stomach, placing wet kisses while looking up at her. ‘’What we did in the shower’’ she whispered. Callum smirked, slowly putting his head up. ‘’Did you touch yourself while you were thinking about us?’’ he said. Y/n nodded and blushed. He made a move that made the woman fell on top of him, but slowly. They both kissed passionately, touching each other’s body. Exploring it like it was the first time, even though they had sex multiple times. ‘’Show me’’ he ordered, with a low voice. ‘’Show you what?’’ she faked being innocent, because her character was. ‘’How you were touching yourself’’ He honestly said. Y/n frowned her eyebrows in pleasure, she bit her lips as Callum brought them under the covers.
She looked at Callum nervously, because her character was, Rose was a shy person, she did things out of love. ‘’Do you trust me?’’ Callum mumbled. Y/n nodded, he took her hand and brought it to her clitoris. She started to move her fingers on herself, with her free hand, she took Callum’s face to bring him closer. They both kissed, it was filled with desire and lust. ‘’Does it feel good?’’ he whispered. ‘’Yes’’ she breathed out. With his hand, he moved down to reach her entrance. He entered two fingers inside of her, pushing her panties to the side before he went in. The woman moaned, but it wasn’t a fake one, they were doing it in front of the filming crew. It turned her on, knowing that they weren’t acting, it was real. The white sheet covered their body, giving them a fake intimacy. Y/n felt her boyfriend get hard, and he was really turned on. Having sex in public was new for them, but it really was exciting. He moved his fingers faster, so did she. Y/n felt a not forming in her stomach, she was close. Callum felt his girlfriend clench around his fingers, he smirked. ‘’My beautiful girl, so sweet, so shy, and yet, so needy for me’’ In the last part, his British accent slipped out a little bit, but only Y/n picked it up. The praise made the not burst, she came on his fingers as she moaned. ‘’Oh my!’’ she breathed out. Callum took his fingers out and brought them to his mouth, he sucked on his fingers to drink her juice. It wasn’t in the script, that was pure Callum. ‘’Are you ready, sweetheart?’’ he said, with his American accent. Y/n couldn’t trust her own voice, she had to nod, or they would probably get caught.
‘’Cut! Holy Hell guys! That was amazing, it almost looked real! You have talent! We’re going to leave, to allow you guys to calm down, just come and get us when you’re ready!’’ The director praised them. Their bubble popped, they almost forgot that they weren’t alone, but they were still excited. ‘’Thank you’’ Y/n cleared her throat. The second the door was shut; Callum’s mouth was all over hers. ‘’ You naughty girl, you like having people watching us fuck?’’ he growled in her ears. Y/n moaned to his sentence, grabbing his back. ‘’No teasing, I need you to fuck me right now’’ she said, between kisses. As soon as she finished her sentence, Callum buried himself into her. Y/n arched her back, while holding on his back. Her nails were scratching his back, but he liked the pain. ‘’Holy shit’’ she whimpered. He rocked his hips fast, the rhythm was erotic, raw and was really showing the urgency of the couple. They needed each other, no time for foreplay or teasing, it was raw. ‘’You’re so fucking tight’’ he growled. ‘’And you’re so damn big’’ she moaned as she threw her head on the pillow. Callum smirked as he quickened the pace, chasing his own orgasm. He knew Y/n was close, he could feel her walls clench around him, and she was squirming under him. The smell that filled their nose was intoxicating, the mix of her perfume, his and the smell of sex was driving them mad. ‘’Callum I’m gonna – ‘’ she moaned as she came for the second time. Her walls wouldn’t stop clenching his dick, that triggered his own release. He crashed on top of her, her thighs were shaking from all the pleasure. ‘’We need to do that again’’ she managed to mumble to her boyfriend. Callum chuckled as they both took a moment to catch their breath. ‘’This scene might be sex Oscar worthy’’ he joked as he placed a piece of her hair behind her ears. She laughed and kissed him again. ‘’I don’t think they give Oscars for the best sex scene’’ she laughed. He smiled and kissed her again.
-
‘’I mean, if they were an award for the best intimate scene, you guys would’ve been winners because oh my, it was intense!’’ Jimmy Fallon said. Y/n blushed, remembering the sex they had after. The public screamed in agreement, and Callum laughed. ‘’I mean, we weren’t there, but rumor as it, it was very spicy!’’ Barry said, making Y/n laugh nervously. ‘’That’s when you know how good they are, as actors, because we thought it was real!’’ Jimmy said. Callum laughed again. The couple thought about the same thing: Don’t worry, it was.

That next Christmas flight
epilogue p.1 to That one Christmas flight
summary: Few months down the line, Y/N is getting onto the same Christmas flight as a completely changed girl.
warning: cheesy af, swear words I guess, cliche probably, typos most definitely
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another Christmas flight. Traditions linger long and strong no matter how much one tries to resist. It's been a year precisely since the last flight that had turned her life upside down and Y/N found herself standing at the same airport where she shared a first kiss with Lando. Except this time she was thrown off for a completely less glamorous reason, sitting all confused and looking at the cancelled note next to her flight number on the departure board. She was just one of the other anxious annoyed passangers, trying to figure out how to get to Japan on time. Her mom hated when people were late. And she was sure she'll find a way to blame it on her. Bad planning, she'd always say. Love comes in different flavors to anyone, Y/N sighed, looking forward to seeing her mom after so many months, which had brought a rollercoaster of unexpected emotions.
She has had the summer of her life, hard to imagine something topping this one. The ultimate love affair - exciting, sweet and eye opening. Made her question everything she thought about adult life. All those love song suddenly made sense. She understood why people do crazy things for love. There wasn't a cell in her body regretting getting her summer and early September got stolen by one guy. It would not have mattered if he was a server from a local café or a tattoo artist, he just happened to be one of the most famous racing drivers on the planet. She had followed him around his trips as long as her school schedule allowed, making new friends in the process and generally exploring a different way of life. Sometimes, she had to stop in order to take it all in, because his world shined just a little too bright. It took all of her free time to keep up. Once summer rolled to its very end, it started being harder for the pair. Coming back to the school environment was somewhat of a culture shock and suddenly her having her own life was making it harder to drop everything and meet him at yet another race track around the world. Their schedules seemed to be working against each other. Late night cuddles turned into late night / morning calls. Summer romance got a real hard test that October and was forced to mature real quick. And sadly, very few love affairs manage to survive this leap.
There are little things that people in love do for each other. One does not often realize that the other person had been doing these mundane gestures until they are out of sight. Lando would always put Y/N's airpods on the charger when they were together, because he knew that she would just never do that and then would complain about it endlessly. He was even looking forward to the annoyed text she'd send him two days after they parted, almost on the clock. Y/N never learned. Nor did she want to.
Y/N airpods were sitting in the pocket of her coat. Fully charged. Lando and Y/N had never spent more time together than this winter break. After few rough weeks, they got used to the changing tone of their relationship. She finally met his family and spent few very fun days at their house. Lando made fun of her afterwards, because she had been so nervous to fuck it up. He never doubted that she would do a good impression - he loved too much to think that.
Pair of hands hugged her from behind and the familiarity kicked in.
"Thought you got lost, honey," she greeted her boyfriend and potentially the love of her life (spoiler alert - yes, he really was).
"I actually kind of did, I'm sure there must be a bathroom closer that all the way back that hallway," he said, kissing her cheek softly. She was taking him home to Japan to get him introduced to her mom, which made him the proudest guy at that airport. He was worthy of getting introduced and to him, that was the biggest compliment one could give. It had been quite a hectic Christmas break for Lando so far, if he were to be honest, he was happy to get few hours alone with Y/N. On the outside, he was this cool racer chill dude. But he was also a sappy romantic, absolutely insisting on having them celebrate their anniversary on the same flight. Y/N grounded him, kept him at bay in the best way possible. He felt like the best version of himself. Which was also what he told her when they almost broke up over the phone one confusing November night. Their relationship was cut with difficult conversations and the need to untangle things, but it was strangely something Lando loved about their relationship. No stones left untouched, caring so much about each other that any shift in energy was a signal to the other party. Y/N taught him to notice things. He pushed her into making her feelings known.
"My love, our flight is cancelled for today," she said softly, not really knowing what to do. Lando usually had his travel booked by the team, so he was surprisingly not very skilled in booking things anymore. But he longed for any possibility to be the hero that saved the day, so he got to the counter and got them on tomorrow's flight, with an overnight at a hotel.
Y/N let out a sigh once he told her that there is currently no other option. She just wanted to be at her mom's place and show Lando off, like a proper proud girlfriend she was.
"I'm sorry, honey," he said, caressing her cheek. "I'll make sure you have an absolutely amazing evening with me, ok? Honestly, getting to spend an extra night with you alone is the best thing I could wish for." She looked at him and there was not a single cell in her body that would doubt what he was telling her. Even after months, every time Lando looked at her, her heart skipped a beat. Every time he embraced her, she completely melted. His skin still felt like the softest thing on this planet. His eyes were the bluest of green that had her mesmerised whenever he shared a glance at her. "There is nothing better I could wish for Christmas either," she said, kissing him softly. "Let's get to the hotel, give your mom a quick call, order a champagne and cuddle without letting anyone else know we're still in England," he whispered like a little devil on her shoulder.
"Hm, maybe we can cuddle like really fast," she insunuated, setting Lando's imagination on fire.
"I have many ideas, honey."
"Good, write them down."
"This will hardly ever skip my mind," Lando laughed lightly and the pair took off, with him having his shoulder around her, both of them hiding their faces under a cap. They soft launched their relationship in the middle of the summer, but there was still a cloud of mystery around Y/N, as she had made sure to set her socials on private. No more of a little secret hidden in a hotel room. Still, privacy was an important thing to the pair, that's why there was a whole fake social media trip happening for Lando right now to redirect attention.
So there they were, toasting with the same champagne a year later, lives intertwined and with their own set of Christmas traditions forming. Two young people with souls still undamaged by the tragedies of life, two young people not realizing how light and magical part of their life they got to call today and tomorrow. Next time you're flying somewhere, don' be a chicken and talk to your hot neighbor on the plane. You never know.

personal note: thank you so much for all the support you guys gave me for this one, it has grown into my favorite story so far - mainly because I got to put in my own memories and feelings from when I accidentally started dating a semi famous sports guy while having no idea who he was, lol. it was in no way lando level kind of famous, but still, it is a great memory, so thank you for reliving it with me.
there will be blurbs of these two coming in the future, but i wanted to tie the main story to an end. but I can't wait to write more, so i'll be more than happy if you come back for some snap shots of their little moments. thank you - smutty epilogue p2. is on the way

🪿🪿🪿🪿
hehehehe ilysm gooseyyyy this is so so late 😭😭😭😭 but better late than never bcs i see you guys missing kitty lizzy in my inbox 👀
it was one of the rare times that jiwonie was willing to truly try anything and everything her mommy wanted :(( she always gets like that whenever she realizes that you’ve had a rough day and just want an obedient little plaything to have fun with it—and that jiwon became!
it started out so sweet :(( kissing her and caressing her softly, gently marking her up while whispering affirmations and praises against her skin… the way her cute kitty ears moved every time you did anything was so adorable :(( but it only got even more exciting when you stripped her down, told her to lay down on the bed face down in the pillow and restrained her hands behind her waist 🤭🤭 cute little jiwonie was nervous and it showed with the way her body shook w both anticipation and fear… and more on the latter emotion when you blindfolded her w your favourite baby blue blindfold 😳
one would think that kitty jiwon wouldn't like it when her mommy does things so slow when she's needy... but jiwon actually loves it! feeling your hands explore her body the way you know it best, leaving kisses all over her back as one of your hands steadily made its way down to her dripping core.. kitty always gets wetter than normal whenever she couldn't see what's being done to her, and she loves it! “thank you for letting me do this, baby… let me reward you now.” and the reward is plunging your fingers deep inside her cunt without further warning, making her gasp loudly followed by a cute mewl 🥺🥺
jiwonie whimpering and wetting her blindfold with tears while you fucked her slowly but deeply 🫢 she could easily free herself from the restraints on her wrists so she can keep herself stable on the bed but you could see that she resisted the urge just for you—truly the best kitty ever 😣 you liked watching her cat ears stiffen every time you thrust your fingers inside her cunt, each and every moan and “mommy” sounding like music to your ears 🥺 of course, jiwonie would be drooling too! she just knew that she was making a mess on your hand.. thinking about cleaning it up for you only made her even wetter :((
but even when she’s being good like this.. jiwon wouldn’t keep being the most patient kitty ever 🤭 “m-m-mommy, i need you.. please…” jiwonie would say, struggling against her restraints and sniffling pathetically 😔 she needed you go faster, to fuck her harder, but you were intent on taking your sweet time :(( when she didn’t hear anything from your hand, she started bucking her hips towards you, which only prompted you to give her ass a good spank 🫣
“you’re not calling the shots here, kitty. be good,” jiwon couldn’t see, but she knew you were glaring down at her 💔 she knew she shouldn’t risk it, especially when you’re in this kind of mood, so she nods weakly. “that’s my girl.”
jiwon doesn’t normally take edging too well bcs she’s a sensitive little thing but she knew you’d want her to hold on for longer so that’s what she does 🥺 she whines and pleads quietly every time you pull your fingers out and have her lose all the build-up but she allows you to do it over and over again… exploring all the unknown parts of her carefully, smiling at the way she’d gasp in pleasure when you hit something good.. assuring her that you’ll reward her even more when the dust has settled and ofc she knew her mommy was true to her words so she fully submits to your care 🥺 completely bent over the bed with her ass up, her pussy all yours to play and toy with as you like…

Primal/Hunt/Prey Kink Halsin Snippet
Uncut 😏 snippet of our favorite Druid chasing down his lover and giving her a few unexpected surprises.
Content Warnings: Rough/primal sex, partial wild-shaping, knotting, mild breeding kink, oral and PIV sex, biting, etc.
Tumblr media
As they left Wyrm’s Crossing, Halsin began to pick up his steps a little, making it harder for Tav to keep up with his long strides. “That eager to get to the woods and fuck me?” She teased as she walked a little faster beside him.
“And eager to get out of this damn crowd,” he replied in an irritated tone.
“Oh, my precious little bear,” she grabbed his arm to stop him. “I know you hate it here, but don’t let it sour your mood.”
“I may be your little bear, but this place makes me feel like a wolf sometimes. Like I should hunt down all the politicians and nobles that allow these people to suffer.”
“Unfortunately, they put people in jail for that sort of thing,” she stood on her toes to kiss him. “How about we gather some food later to distribute…after you chase me down and fuck me senseless…?”
“Chase you?” He managed a little grin as she stood right next to him.
“Catch me, my wolf!” She smiled and took off in a full sprint towards the nearby woods. He let out a low growl and took off after her.
While she had speed and lithe grace from her years of being a bard, he had a longer stride and more stamina. She got a good lead on him, disappearing into the trees, but he soon caught her trail. He felt himself wild-shaping part way, his soft body hair suddenly growing thicker and his teeth getting sharper. His senses were heightened too, hearing her heavy breaths in the distance. Those were more than enough to stir him on, but he could also smell her arousal and the musk of her sweat as she ran. He feared for a second he might devour her and stopped in his tracks to steady himself.
He took some deeps breaths, feeling his cock swell a little as he caught her scent again. He might not devour her, but he knew he needed to pin her down and fuck his seed inside of her. He let out a loud howl and continued his hunt. He eventually heard her footsteps stop, her breath heavy and ragged. He circled around, sniffing the air to catch the scent of her arousal again, his cock swelling even more. He stepped quietly, seeing her a hundred yards ahead hiding behind a tree to catch her breath. He eased up behind her, his heart still pounding but his breath steady. When he was within arms reached, he seized her, pulling her off her feet. She let out a little shriek, her muscles tensing, but quickly recognized his presence.
His mouth was on her neck before she could even declare him the victor, his hands tearing at her clothes. “You gave me a…” she began before he ripped her dress open at the back. “Halsin!” She gasped as he did the same with her panties. He growled loudly in her ear, nipping it with his teeth. “Fuck…” she trembled, the heat of his body pressed close against her.
“Do you like this, my little doe?” he asked, as his hands clawed into her flesh.
“Everything but the doe part,” she pressed back against him, rubbing her ass against his hard bulge. “I need you to fuck me like I’m your hungry bitch.”
He growled loudly at that, sliding his hands down her body and spreading her apart with his fingers. He guided his teeth down her back, biting into her soft curves as he slipped his robe off. His tongue found her asshole, sniffing and licking it with excitement. He buried his face between her legs, lapping her hungrily as she clung against the tree to steady herself. His feral hunger had made her seep honey, which he caught greedily. He eventually pulled her hips down, bringing her to the ground with him.
She squirmed and wrestled with him for a moment before he managed to pin her down. His fingers continued to explore her, making her wetter and ready to be mounted hard. She moaned and whimpered as his thick fingers teased her, her hips writhing with them. “Are you ready to take it, my she-wolf?” He whispered into her ear.
“Yes, Gods,” she yipped excitedly, letting him roll her onto her hands and knees.
The sight of her swollen, red cunt drove him to a near frenzy, sliding into her immediately. She yelped from the hard thrust, but was well aroused enough to take it. He hunched over her, pressing just enough of his weight onto her back for her to know she was his completely. He grasped his hands on top of hers, pressing them into the soft clover underneath them. He fucked her hungrily from behind, his teeth locked gently on the back of her neck. She never been fucked with such abandon and she enjoyed every second of it, moving her hips back against his powerful thrusts. Their cries and moans scattered the surrounding wildlife, leaving them alone in their mating. “Give me your mouth,” he finally released his jaws from her neck so she could kiss him. She obeyed, turning her head so he could reach her lips. He kissed her ravenously, licking and nipping her cheeks as well.
“I love you so fucking much,” she tensed as she felt an orgasm peaking as he thrust against her g-spot. “I want your cubs in me.”
“Soon, my queen,” he groaned, feeling her pulsing around him. He was so engorged, he felt a bulb growing at the base of his cock, preparing to lock his seed inside her. Her fingers dug deeply into the clover, spreading their fragrance up to their noses as she came in sharp cries. He met hers with loud growls, the knot at the base of his cock now fully swollen and closing off her entrance as he erupted inside her.
She let out a low whimper as the engorged bulb pressed against the opening of her cunt. “Mmmmm, what is that?” She breathed heavily underneath him. “I can…uhhh…barely move,” she tried to shift her hips forward.
“I’m afraid we will have to lay here for quite some time,” he smiled, his breath hot on the back of her neck. “It seems we are tied together.”
“What does that mean?” She tried to move again, only making the knot tighter, her muscles contracting against him and filling her with even more of his warm seed.
“It appears you brought out some more wolf-like qualities in me,” he pressed her down onto the ground so they could roll onto their sides. “Including their anatomy.”
“Oh Gods!” Tav suddenly recalled a pair of stray dogs she’d once seen tangled together. “You mean we are…” she let out a little laugh as her cheeks flushed. “We’re stuck like this? For how long?”
“It just depends. You got me very excited, so it may be a while,” he nuzzled against her neck.
“Oh,” she sighed and tried to steady her breath. “It’s just that…” she shifted a little. “You got me really excited too…and my blood doesn’t seem to want to leave my clit yet.”
“It will…prolong things…but…” he rolled her onto her stomach, pressing as much of his weight on her as she could take.
“That's it,” she whimpered, prone against the cool ground as he wiggled his hips around. He wedged a hand under her to press against her clit. “Uhhhhhnnn…yeah,” she moaned, clawing her fingers into the dirt. “Keep going.”
He let out another growl, pressing her hips harder against his hand. She let out a little squeal, pulsing wildly around him, tying the knot even tighter. “More,” she moaned, her voice muffled in the ground. She bounced her hips back against him.
“If you…unnnf…keep this up…hhhhh…we’ll never get free.”
She whimpered again, one final shudder vibrating against him as she completely collapsed into the grass. “Okay,” she panted loudly. “Finally done, I think.”

There's a fallen angel in one of your college classes she's extremely obvious about it even though she claims to be a human. You can tell from the way she's always trying to hide the scars where her wings used to be, the slender yet muscular body type she has tears clearly angelic, and the fact that her body is entirely sexless despite her desire to he seen as female, the slightly sad image of a dress wrapped around her flat chest being the first thing people see of her.
Most people are afraid of her. They've heard of the horrors that fallen angels who've gone to the underworld have committed, the things that they've turned into. They assume the worst, treat her like a dog off it's leash. Nobody actually says anything, but they avoid her, get afraid if she seems to angry, or even just too excited. The professors are strict with her, and the students stay away from her. You hear people saying they're worried she's going to hurt or seduce them when she seems to just be doing normal, if a bit awkward things, like they assume she's the demon they fear she is. Even the undead, the werewolves and the wizards who go to your school are a bit afraid of her.
Eventually she asks you for help with homework. She's so afraid when she asks, she says you seem like the nicest person in the class. But still she's afraid you'll hurt her, or mabye she's afraid she'll hurt you. You have to reassure her a bit, but you help her, step by step. She's so afraid whenever she fails something that she's as worthless as she was told the fallen were, or that someone's going to punish her the same way the other angels would have for a mistake. But she's smart, even if she hasn't had the background to know a lot of things her human classmates know.
You decide to bring her when you hang out with some other freinds. You're just walking through the city streets that are near your campus, it's not that big a deal for most of you, but it is to her. She's never really explored a human city before, and getting to do normal things like this is kind of new to her. Everyone knows what she is, but after a few minutes of just existing with her it stops being the focus. And she seems to happy to just be treated as a normal girl.
There's so much she hasn't experienced before. When you walk by a toystore she's weirdly interested in it, and ends up buying a plush there while almost everyone but you and her and too embarrassed to go inside. She was never a child, so it seems like it's comforting to her to get to enjoy something like this when she didn't get a chance to normally.
But mostly she just seems to enjoy being talked to and looked at like a normal person, without being the focus. Her face lights up when someone compliments her hair, angels are called beautiful a lot but they're never called pretty, they're never someone someone wants to be like. She's so excited to swipe her card just to take the subway with you, and she seems so comforted when being hugged goodbye by you, you think this might be the first time she's been hugged in the thousands of years she's existed.
When you're texting with her later you end up venting about your landlord, he really suck, not allowing overnight guests or pets and the like, and having raised your rent by a lot this year. She becomes really upset learning landlords exist at all, and asks you for his name before saying goodbye.
When you next hear from your landlord he's afraid of something, and agrees to remove all the rules your complained to your fallen angel freind about, and lower your rent. You have a feeling your freind did something.
When you talk to your fallen angel freind to compliment her she seems upset with herself. She was always told she'd hurt a mortal and now she has. You explain to her that that's not always a bad thing, that she saved you, as much as she would have saved you if she caught you falling off a building. You explain to her that just because she's powerful, and nobody controls her, doesn't mean that that power is evil. Even when she makes people afraid, she's still a being of good, it's why she fell in the first place.

King of the Gerudo- Chapter 1: Forgotten Foundation
Summary: it’s been three years since Calamity Ganon attacked Hyrule, and everyone was recovering well from it. Until the strange substance gloom appeared, making people sick when they touched it. Wanting to find answers, Zelda and the champions went beneath the castle against her father’s wishes to try to solve the problem. Meanwhile, the King of Hyrule hopes to use Impa’s help in interrogating master Kohga about the gloom, despite the Yiga leader knowing very little about it. Little did they all know, that a great threat was brewing beneath Hyrule castle, waiting for a seal to break.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was cold and damp as Zelda, Terrako, and the champions traveled underneath Hyrule castle, the light from her torch being the only thing illuminating the dark hallways. It was uncomfortably quiet as the group walked down the staircase, the strange gloomy substance floating through the air menacingly. Zelda studied it for a minute, her eyes narrowed as gloom danced in front of her. Strange…
“This gloom is rather misty down here,” she stated, reaching out to feel it phase through her fingers. It was soft, and didn’t seem to harm her as it went through her hand. She pulled her arm back and studied her fingers, which seemed untouched.
“Careful Zelda, people have been getting sick when they touch the gloom,” Urbosa warned, stepping down the stairs where Zelda was. The princess looked up at her and smiled.
“It’s alright, there doesn’t seem to be a high enough concentration of gloom down here to hurt us. I think we’ll be safe,” Zelda looked behind her as the rest of the champions walking down the stairs, all muttering quietly to themselves. She turned back at the darkness in front of her where Terrako watched cautiously and took a deep breath. “We’ll be safe for now.”
The princess of Hyrule continued to walk down the stairs, Urbosa and her little guardian friend following closely behind her. She heard Daruk grunting as he squeezed through the tight halls, and there was the occasional grumble from Revali, but overall the group was silent, which didn’t help Zelda’s nerves. As she reached a landing of the stairs, she heard Link quietly catch up to her, his stare intense as he looked down the hallways, the gloom seeming to get thicker.
“I didn’t realize how deep this goes,” Mipha muttered, mostly to herself. “It’s hard to believe that this has been down below Hyrule Castle this whole time.”
“Yes,” Zelda responded quietly. It was strange, she felt like she'd explored every inch of the castle as she studied and trained herself for the calamity. Finding new, untouched areas of the castle was surreal… and exciting. If only the gloom didn’t make the situation frightening. She continued on, moving past Link who was still staring, and almost stepped down the stairs when Urbosa stopped her.
“Something’s not right,” she said in a low voice, eyeing Link with an intense glare. Zelda gave Link a confused look, who had his brows pinched together, staring at Urbosa. The Gerudo chief gestured to his sword, and Zelda gasped.
“Your sword, Link! It’s glowing!” She exclaimed, walking closer to the hero who had the master sword out, studying the glowing blade. “That’s not a good sign… Something is up ahead, we should proceed with caution.”
“Why don’t you stay back while we continue further,” Mipha suggested. “It might be too dangerous for you.”
“I’ll be fine, Mipha, I want to get to the bottom of this.” Zelda turned and continued onward, not allowing Mipha to argue any further. As the group walked, Zelda couldn’t help but study the walls and ground around her. She remembered her father telling her to stay away from beneath the castle, that generations before her were strictly given orders to leave it be, meaning that everything she was seeing was being seen for the first time in centuries. Though there has been nothing special about the halls they were traveling, she couldn’t help but feel giddy over being the first person in centuries to see it. She wondered what they would find down here.
Soon the group reached a long hallway with pillars and statues she'd never seen before. She gasped and jogged to one of the statues, admiring the sheer size and workmanship of it. They seemed to be resembling a creature with a long neck and big ears. Could it be…?
“Zelda!” Urbosa and Link ran up to her. “Don’t run off like that! We don’t know what’s down here!”
“Apologies, Urbosa, but just look at this!” Zelda took out her Sheikah slate and began taking pictures of the statues. “I believe this may be a Zonai!”
“A Zonai?”
“A Zonai! I read about them in my studies, and it was believed that they possessed godlike powers and descended from the heavens!” Zelda moved to the side to get a new angle on the statue, the champions watching her patiently as she took pictures. “Look at those ears! They kind of look like us, don’t they?”
“Give or take a few features,” Revali muttered, studying the statue intently. Zelda giggled and took one more picture before looking at the other statues and ruins in front of her. She frowned and walked towards a fallen pillar.
“They were descended from the sky… but why are their ruins underneath the castle?” She wondered, tracing her fingers along the cold and bumpy stone. She finally stood up and walked to the doorway, with the champions following her. As soon as she crossed the doorway, however, two keese ambushed her, and she yelped as she jumped back from them. Link sprinted towards the monsters, killing them in seconds, with Terrako giving angry beeps at the dead monsters.
“Are you alright?” Mipha asked worriedly, and Zelda waved her hand.
“Oh I’m alright, just a little startled,” she breathed, laughing slightly.
“It’s bad enough that we’re disobeying the king’s orders to stay away from here, the last thing we need is for his daughter to get injured,” Revali said, crossing his wings in front of his chest. Zelda laughed nervously and scratched the back of her head.
“Sorry, I’ll try to be more careful.”
Revali’s glare softened and he rolled his eyes. Daruk let out a sigh of relief as he squeezed through the doorway, stretching his arms above his head.
“Thank Din, a big room!” He cheered, nearly smacking Revali as his arms fell.
“Watch it!” He shouted, and Daruk simply chuckled carelessly. Zelda smiled at the two and glanced at the wall in front of her. It wasn’t like the rest of the walls, and she jogged towards them, straining her neck to look at them fully.
“Why, what is this?” Zelda gasped as she moved her torch to see better. In front of her were murals etched into the walls, the style similar to the Sheikah murals of the calamity she’s seen so many times. A figure stood out to her, it resembling the Zonai statues from the other room, with seven strange shapes floating around it. She took a step back and looked at the whole thing. “Why, this must be the written history of Hyrule!” she exclaimed, pulling out her sheikah slate again and beginning to take pictures, worry making way for excitement as she clicked. “Look! The Zonai were descended from the heavens! And they appeared to have bonded with the Hylians and found Hyrule!” Zelda took a picture of the Zonai and Hylian figure holding hands and she glanced over at something far more ominous. A large imposing figure stood over the Hylian, with the strange shape floating above them. Figures of monsters and the evil figure were shown to be attacking Hylians, with it ending with the Zonai fighting back. Zelda gasped at the realization at what this meant. “This not only shows the founding of Hyrule, but it shows a great battle the young kingdom faced! Of course! It all fits my studies! This shows the great war… the imprisoning war!” Zelda spun around to face the champions, a huge smile on her face. “We have seen history that’s been lost to time! This is a huge discovery!”
The only champions that were listening to her ramblings were Urbosa and Mipha, who were politely and patiently watching her. Link, Revali, and Daruk were simply arguing with Terrako running circles around them.
“Oh! Uh…” Zelda looked down awkwardly, putting her sheikah slate away. “Apologies, I got quite excited back there. No reason to waste time with these murals…”
“No, princess, it is quite fascinating!” Mipha said, joining Zelda’s side and looking up at the mural. “That beast the Zonai is fighting, it looks to be calamity Ganon, doesn’t it?”
Zelda smiled slightly. “Yes, but it’s not Ganon. Apparently that beast was the demon king who stole power from Hyrule…”
Mipha hummed. “I wonder who the Demon king was. There’s not a lot about him.”
“No… there’s not.” Zelda continued to stare at the murals, and her eyes traveled to the rest of the wall, which was blocked off by rock. “It seems the rest of it is blocked…”
Urbosa walked up to the two princesses and stared at the rocks. She turned around to the men who continued to argue. “Daruk! Get over here!”
The argument ended abruptly and the goron champion trotted towards the group. “What’s going on? Is everything ok?” He asked, and Zelda giggled.
“Destroy this rock, Zelda wants to see the rest of the mural.”
“On it!” Daruk pulled out his weapon and walked closer to the rock, but Zelda realized something.
“Wait! You might destroy the mural behind the rocks!” She shouted, running to Daruk. “We’ll need to carefully remove the rocks if we don’t want to damage it. This is a priceless piece afterall.”
“Oh,” Daruk stepped back and put his weapon away, a disappointed frown on his face. Urbosa turned to Link and Revali, who were now staring silently away from the group.
“Link, you’re handy aren’t you? Remove this rock,” she ordered, but Zelda shook her head.
“No, it’ll take too long to remove this rock. There are more important things to worry about right now,” Zelda stared at another doorway, dread beginning to rest within her stomach. “The mural can wait,” she said softly, walking to the doorway. She heard the shuffling of footsteps as the others followed her, the air around her only getting colder and thicker. The misty gloom turned into a fog, making it difficult for her to breath. The dread was getting worse, and she felt like she wanted to cry as she got deeper and deeper. Her legs were shaking terribly, and she needed to grab the wall in order to keep her balance, but she kept moving, with the champions following closely behind her. Finally, she reached the end, and she was met with a large open room covered in gloom, and in the middle was something she’s never seen before.
A person, rotten and decayed was being held by the chest of a glowing green arm, with green magic swirling from the top of it. Gloom poured out of the chest of the corpse, poisoning the room with its haze, and as Zelda looked further, the mouth of the corpse was open, as if it was screaming before it met its end. As Zelda cautiously stepped closer, the arm’s light began to flicker, and she gasped as it went dark and fell to the ground, causing a yellow stone to break from its bracelet, landing right in front of Zelda. She kneeled on the ground, picking up the strange stone. It felt warm in her hands, and the light was almost soothing. She felt something within her began to grow as she held it, and she traced the delicate etchings on the stone with her thumb.
“What is this…?” She started, when the corpse in front of her began to move. She jumped up and found herself pressed up against Urbosa, who had an intense glare as the corpse’s head began to twitch. The sickening crack of its bones filled the air, and its head suddenly turned to look at the group, glowing eyes full of malice appearing to stare back at them. Zelda felt her heart drop to her stomach and she instinctively moved further into Urbosa. Gloom suddenly shot out, aiming straight for the two. The princess let out a scream, bracing herself to be struck, but Link was in front of her, swiping at the gloom with the master sword. It retreated for a moment, until it shot out again. Time slowed as Link swiped again, and the glowing sword that sealed darkness away shattered into pieces, one shard slicing the corpse’s cheek. Link let out a pained cry as the gloom suddenly covered his arm entirely.
“LINK!” Zelda shouted, catching him before he crumpled to the ground. Mipha was at his side in seconds, and the champions stared at the corpse as it began to rise.
“Was that the sword that seals the darkness?” Its raspy voice echoed through the room, the malice filled eyes never leaving Zelda’s. “That sword shattered under a fraction of my power, Rauru placed his faith in you, and that was all you could do?”
The creature was standing straight now, it towering over the group. Link began to get on his knees, panting in pain as he glared at the corpse, but its eyes stayed on Zelda, and it began to laugh. A sick and uncanny laugh that echoed through the room.
“Zelda,” It said, its rotten mouth curling into a smile, and the princess whimpered. “It’s been a long time…”
“H-how do you know my name?” Zelda asked, her voice shaking uncontrollably. The corpse smiled at her, making her feel alone despite being surrounded by the champions. Its arms were brought to its chest, where high amounts of gloom suddenly swirled in front of it. Gloom was shot at the ceiling, causing the ground to shake violently. Zelda couldn’t see anything, she couldn’t breathe, and she didn’t know if she was still near the champions. She heard the distressed cries of Terrako near her, and she hugged the guardian tightly as she searched for the champions. She heard the cries of them as the ceiling began to rise, and she crawled across the ground with Terrako in her arms, but the ground beneath her suddenly gave way, and she let out a yell as she and the guardian plummeted towards the darkness below.
“ZELDA!” She heard someone cry, and she saw Link reaching out to her, his decaying and broken arm reaching for her, but it missed. Zelda screamed as she plummeted, desperately reaching for something, anything, that could catch her. She felt a warm tingling coming from the stone she still had clutched in her hand, and warmth surrounded her whole being. As she stared at the helpless champions, a bright light appeared in her vision, a dizziness overcame her, and then there was nothing but darkness.
Prompt~ see ask^^^^^
✪✪✪✪✪✪✪✪✪✪✪✪✪✪✪✪✪✪✪✪✪✪✪✪✪✪
You and Larissa had been very open from the start of your relationship over your wants and needs in all departments. Very early on it was established that Larissa was extremely dominant and would only submit if she wanted to, which was rare but neither of you minded that. You both were very kinky people but your jobs meant you had to be discreet with it. So you’d come up with signals to use in public that meant different things but nothing to anyone other than you two.
You’d had a particularly stressful week, and Larissa had a plan to help with stress relief, something you’d both spoken about and not had courage to try, she had the perfect person for the job. Luckily for you both she was more than willing to participate in what was set to be a deliciously sinful night.
That was how you found yourself in your shared chambers only to be met with your girlfriend and Marilyn conversing in Larissa’s office with a glass of wine. Your only instruction was to sit pretty and wait like a good girl. So here you sat on your knees, head tilted towards the bedspread as you waited, excitement swarming in your stomach alongside some nerves and of course arousal.
“Shall we” you heard your girlfriend’s voice ring out and they entered the room. “Darling” she purred causing you to rise your head, “we have a guest today and I want you to behave like a good girl okay? Treat her with the same respect daddy gets okay?” You nodded before murmuring, “daddy? What do I call her?” With a quick glance to Marilyn you were answered by the redhead, “mommy or Mari will do sweetheart” you nodded in your understanding, “yes mommy.”
“Rissa dear? She’s yours so why don’t you tell me how you want to play with the pretty girl?” Only to be shut up with a kiss, “you first Marilyn I’m content to watch for now” she murmured before moving to sit next to the headboard, legs stretched out. You shuffled up next to her so that your head rested on the pillows next to her. “Strip sweetheart” her tone slightly firm but no where near the same as Larissa’s dominant voice, slightly strange but not unwelcome.
Fully stripped you allowed both women to see you, “oh Rissa, she really is a beauty” Marilyn mumbled as her gaze fixed on your breasts. “She really is, be a good girl baby okay?” She murmured brushing a hand through your hair before kissing your forehead. Marilyn wasted no time In straddling your hips and kissing you passionately, her hands exploring your body under your girlfriends watchful gaze. You happily responded to the red head. You heard your girlfriends little gasps as she watched the scene unfold, only then did you realise that she had a hand dipped between her thighs teasing herself.
“Mommys gonna sit on your face pretty” Marilyn muttered before situating herself on your face as hand’s gripped the headboard to steady herself. You eagerly licked and lapped at her cunt moaning at her taste. “Such a good girl for us y/n, you’re making your mommy feel so good. Daddy’s so impressed baby” Larissa praised as Marilyn moaned above you. “Oh fuck me, sweetheart right there, oh god” she moaned and it was clear that she had no problem with being vocal. Larissa was silently thanking herself for choosing Marilyn. They were close friends and she knew of Marilyn’s sexuality so it made her a prime choice for partner, maybe it wouldn’t be a one time thing as long as all three were agreeable.
Your jaw was starting to ache with the effort you were putting in, your chin drenched in her slick as you moved up to wrap your lips around her aching bundle of nerves and suck hard, “oh fuck I’m cumming fuck good girl” she whined as her hips bucked down on your face violently, her knuckles turning white from the pressure. You diligently worked your tongue through her folds as you licked up all she gave you.
“So pretty” Larissa whined as she now stroked her shifted anatomy, “good girl sweetheart” Marilyn praised through pants in attempt to catch her breath. You lay there happily darting your tongue around your lips desperately trying to get more of Marilyn’s cum. “Such a cumslut” Larissa murmured before coming to kiss you absolutely senseless. While you were distracted Marilyn found the strap exactly where Larissa told her it would be should she want it.
“Love, I want you to sit on your knees and don’t touch yourself okay?” Larissa murmured and you nodded instantly wanting to be good for her. Only then did Larissa move to pin the red head to the wall as she kissed her, putting on a show for you. You were already painfully turned on by the sight and pleasing Marilyn that all you could do is whine while your thighs shook with need. “Daddy” you whimpered to the women, “mommy oh god, Please!” Only to be ignored by the occupied women. You couldn’t deny that the sight was truly out of this world sexy but you needed something, anything just more.
Eventually they took pity on your pathetic whimpers and whines for their attention and you became the main focus for them both. Larissa helped Marilyn by filling up her strap for her, while Marilyn used her mouth to wet Larissa’s dick, nothing to drastic but enough to make Larissa moan ever so slightly, “oh Mari fuck!” As the red head swirled her tongue around the sensitive tip. Next thing you new Larissa had you placed on all fours in the toward the end of the bed as Marilyn slotted in underneath you, head resting on the pillows, her fake cock wanting attention you’d gladly give.
“Now darling, daddy will give you what you want, but the moment that beautiful mouth of yours slips off mommys dick, I’ll stop so be a dear and let us use your holes like a good whore” Larissa demanded, before you could even reply, your head was pushed down onto the silicone toy and Larissa entered your leaking hole. Both women moved slowly until they found the perfect rhythm. When they found it you were a goner. You moaned and spluttered around the fake dick as it continued to hit the back of your throat with every thrust and Larissa’s cock hitting that spongy spot in your cunt with every ruthless thrust.
Your walls fluttering around her cock as you slacked your jaw to aid Marilyn. “Oh the little cock slut is gonna cum” Larissa taunted as. Marilyn moaned out, “oh fuck me too!” With a hand at the base of her cock she ordered you to stick your tongue out, only then did she cum all over it. “Darling, mommy may have cum but daddy hasn’t so be good and make mommy cum” she purred hands on your hips aiding her thrusts.
“Daddy. Daddy! Please I’m gonna please oh god” you mewled under her actions, “I know baby cum for daddy. Wanna feel you squeeze me” she panted out as you came and came hard. Marilyn hands now coming to toy with your breasts. Larissa didn’t stop though, she began to get more frenzied as your over sensitive walls fluttered around her dick. “Oh god daddy! Wanna take your cum! Please, daddy use me. Cum for me please!” You all but screamed as you came violently on her cock, Larissa seconds after spurting her cum into you eager cunt, “take it baby, take my cum. You’d look so cute bred with my seed.” She panted out not really realising what she was saying. “Oh fuck daddy more. Want more” you whined feeling another shoot of cum hitting your walls as she brought you both back down from the pleasure.
Slipping out of you carefully, Larissa and Marilyn immediately started to care for you, praising you for how good you were. You did so well and they were so proud. All three of you satisfied as you cuddled, you sandwiched between both their perfect bodies, brain hazy as you basked in the afterglow.
I am connecting the dots to make Shineivy’s death so angsty
This was on a patrol with Fierchasm who had just become a warrior at 15 moons which is later than most apprentices. She was also mentored by Riftstar
Shineivy likely had just recovered from birth that moon or maybe a moon before as her kits were 4-5 moons when she died.
Fiercechasm has the adventurous trait.
So here’s my idea- as likely one of her very first patrols post becoming a warrior Fiercechasm is sent on a patrol with Shineivy.
Likely Riftstar has to send out some patrols with Fogtail still heavily mourning rainstripe. Maybe he’s even hesitant to send Shineivy because she’s his mate and she just recovered from having kits but they don’t have the warriors to spare as likely pointed out by even Shineivy herself. So, for safety he has her sent with a warrior he knows he can trust to keep her safe- Fiercechasm.
It’s a simple patrol but precautions should be made especially in Leafbare. Still, Fierchasm is excited for her first patrol as a warrior. She’s not just an apprentice she’s equal to all the other warriors and can go any which way she desires.
When the weather starts picking up Shineivy points it out first but Fiercechasm, far too elated to be on this patrol as a warrior and feeling the urge to see explore more,insists they keep going.
Yet the storm picks up and the two are forced to hide in a cave for cover. The cave is then buried with snow leaving them trapped.
As they huddle together for warmth Shineivy may tell Fiercechasm to not fall asleep because she may not wake again if she does. And they both promise to keep the other awake. Yet, just for a moment Fiercechasm allows herself to close her eyes and she falls asleep
Eventually Fiercechasm would awaken shivering with snow coated on her fur but alive. Some snow had toppled down revealing a way out of the cave. When she notices Shineivy’s limp body she doesn’t worry at first and may even find it humorous, both promised not to fall asleep but both did. Something they can both laugh about when Shineivy wakes up
Yet Shineivy is not moving, and not breathing, Fierchasm tries to feel for a heart but finds nothing. Though she’s not a medicine cat so who knows. (She does. She does. But she’ll deny it as long as possible) she instead starts trying to drag Shineivy’s body out of the cave to get help. (If she doesn’t do it now will she get a chance to bury the body later…)
Likely Fiercechasm is intercepted by a patrol who is searching for her. With how harsh the storm was ,even Riftstar knew sending out warriors to search for his mate would be a death sentence but as soon as the storm clears warriors are sent out to find any signs of where they are..
And of course they find Fiercechasm struggling to drag Shineivy’s body with her and even without a medicine cat it is easy to tell that Shineivy is gone.
(This went on for longer then I thought lol. Hopefully my ramblings made some sort of sense)
OHHHHHHH MY GOD OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD- SOBBING SCREAMING THROWING UP
Fiercechasm's voice shaking from the cold while she tries to reassure Shine that they're almost home. Shineivy not responding, but that's- that's fine.
The idea of her thinking this would be such a funny story to tell when they got home- the two of them falling asleep in the cave despite their promise not to. Shineivy- bright eyed and snarky as always, would make some silly joke about how she'd earned a nap for putting up with a pebble-brained young warrior like her, and Fiercechasm would laugh because somehow the older molly's jokes always managed to make her feel warm inside- I'M PUNCHING WALLS.
WHO WAS ON THE SEARCH PATROL??? Like, I can't imagine Riftstar NOT going, but also Plum DEFINITELY volunteers-
NOW I'M IMAGINING RIFTSTAR'S FACE WHEN THE PATROL FOUND THEM, IM GONNA EAT DRYWALL AND SOB
How sweet agony can be
Abdirak x Tav, Gale x Tav (no relationship, just yearning) VERY 18+
Larkspur, a half elf cleric of Ilmater, wants to explore the connections of her religion and the worship of Loviatar, two gods long established as enemies but with some very similar characteristics. Meeting Abdirak in the Goblin Camp gives her an opportunity to explore this dynamic in ways she couldn't quite anticipate. But back at camp, there's someone she can't totally get off of her mind... someone she can't help but compare this experience to, wondering how he would touch her instead.
Larkspur was no stranger to pain. As a cleric of Ilmater, her worship had involved a fair share of pain, both her own and that of others. She was no stranger to worshippers of Loviatar, and their cruel practices. She was no stranger to the divine rivalry between the two gods and their orders to undermine the work of the other, in whatever way necessary. Still, she was fascinated by Loviatar worshippers, fascinated by their love of pain and devotion to it. In a strange way, it felt like a perversion of her own devotion to alleviating pain. Perhaps the two gods needed each other for balance, for order. At the very least, they needed each other to continue their respective holy missions.
Meeting Abdirak in the goblin camp had been a surprise, but not an unwelcome one. She had long wished to speak in depth to a worshipper of the pain goddess, hoping for an intellectual discussion of their respective religions and an attempt to find some common ground. Abdirak was more than willing to share his knowledge and experience with Loviatar with the party, though Karlach and Odile were less interested than Larkspur herself. Karlach laughed, excited to see the spectacle, but did not offer up her own body. Not that Larkspur would have allowed her to. Gale... Gale seemed a bit horrified, if fascinated. "Your hide, your choice," he shrugged. "Not quite my cup of tea though." He always relished an opportunity to learn. Larkspur did too--she liked that about him. He seemed like a kindred spirit, though he was still closed off in many ways.
Larkspur knew that she was the only member of the party who would be willing to suffer at Abdirak's hands. Not only that, but she felt it was her duty to do so; no other member of her party would feel the pain if she could take it upon herself. Ilmater guide her, but she hoped this exercise would draw her closer to her God--or at least closer to an enlightened understanding of Loviatar. Each swing of Abdirak's mace fell harder on her back. The pain was almost unbearable, only made bearable through the whispered prayers she offered to Ilmater with each shuddering breath. She moaned, she whimpered, she cried out--but she did not move. The mace slammed into her three times, and Abdirak's swings were accompanied by praise. Praise to Loviatar, yes, but also praise to Larkspur herself. If she didn't know any better, he almost sounded... aroused. With the third strike, she felt as if she would pass out, her silent prayers turning from a deliberate recitation to an unintelligible plea. Abdirak stopped, and she turned to look at him as he offered her pain to his goddess.
"Sweet child," he purred, "you bore that pain like a true believer."
Larkspur's body shook, her mind frantically grasping at his words. It is my duty, she thought, though the words wouldn't come.
"Loviatar herself found your performance.... Inspiring. She has deemed you worthy of her blessing," he continued, and Larkspur felt a sudden peace as the goddess's blessing settled onto her shoulders. She could still feel the pain, certainly, but it was almost pleasant. There was an eroticism to the dizziness, the sparks of pain tingling at the end of every nerve. Her body was aching, exhausted, but undeniably alive. Abdirak seemed to sense her sudden calm. He smiled discreetly, as though the others were not in the room. "And on a personal note, thank you. That was positively divine." The words were almost a whisper, but they rang in Larkspur's ears like a bell toll.
Her head swam. Her heart thudded. She felt inspired, certainly, but not sated in her discovery. She hoped to ask Abdirak more questions, but he was already busy, cleaning his weapons and talking to one of the goblins. She would have to come back, she realized, and she would have to come back alone. Ordinarily, this would have terrified her, but Abdirak seemed safe enough. Odd really, but what could he do to her that would be worse than what she had just endured?
It wasn't long before the party decided to make camp for the night, exhausted from their exploration and hoping to stave off combat for as long as possible. Fighting could wait until after a good meal and a long sleep. Well, a long sleep for the others. Larkspur had a feeling she and Abdirak would be talking late into the night, if he would be willing to discuss their divine differences.
Gale made a delicious potato soup for dinner, rich and creamy despite their somewhat limited ingredients. Odile had suggested that perhaps he was using magic to augment their meals, and Larkspur thought they were probably right. Either way, the food was delicious. She made a mental note to ask him for the recipe--if they made it to Baldur's Gate alive, Larkspur would want to recreate the dish once everyone had parted ways. The thought was bittersweet, but she pushed it aside. Now is hardly the ideal time to get more attached to your companions. We are all on death's door at every moment. Do not make their loss harder on yourself than it already will be.
The richness of the soup settled into everyone's bellies as sleepiness took them one by one. Karlach and Odile were laughing quietly with Lae'zel, who seemed frustrated that she didn't get whatever the joke was. Shadowheart had already gone to sleep, and Astarion and Wyll were taking turns throwing Scratch's ball. Or rather, Wyll was throwing it while Astarion heckled him. Gale was cleaning up his cookware when Larkspur stood up and stretched, but began to head to the entrance of camp instead of her tent.
"Going somewhere?" he inquired, surprising her. Larkspur hadn't felt his eyes on her back.
"Yes," she responded, "I-uh, I have something I need to do. Something I need to understand." It wasn't a lie, but she felt her cheeks flush as though it was.
His brow furrowed slightly. "Ah, I see. Well, be careful. I trust your judgement but I... but we will need you again come morning. I doubt our coming battles will be easily won, especially without your healing prowess."
Larkspur nodded. "Thank you, Gale. I'll-- I'll see you in the morning." It was a promise she fully intended to keep.
When she left the camp, she found Abdirak's corner of the desecrated temple with ease. She had hoped he would still be there, and as luck would have it he was. And as luck--or Ilmater, or Loviatar--would have it, he was alone. Larkspur hesitated slightly at the entrance, shivering in the drafty air. She had not replaced her armor after dinner, and her thin camp clothes were not enough to stave off the chill. Her lack of armor was a peace offering, to ensure that Abdirak knew she was not a threat. Larkspur hadn't come to hunt a heretic, and she did not want him to think she had. Unarmed, she stood in the archway outside of his altar. She felt suddenly shy, unsure of what to say to draw his attention away from his table of weaponry.
Possibly he had heard her footsteps, or possibly he had sensed that she would have more to say. Either way, he turned to her before she had the chance to say anything. "Welcome back, dear one. I did enjoy our prayers earlier." His tone was completely sincere, no trace of irony or double entendre.
"What drew you to Loviatar worship?" Larkspur blurted out before she could come up with a less direct question.
Abdirak shrugged. "What drew you to Ilmater? Probably much the same. There was suffering in my life which I could not control. The pain was becoming unbearable. I wished to learn how to bear it."
Larkspur nodded. "I believe the two gods have more in common than others might at first suspect."
Abdirak smiled, delighted by the prospect of someone to discuss esoteric topics with who was not an Absolute cultist. "As do I," he drawled, "without Loviatar, Ilmater would have nothing to repair. Without Ilmater, Loviatar would have no reason for her destruction."
"Precisely. Each views pain and suffering as a tool, just with opposite implications."
Abdirak nodded slowly. "This is, I believe, why you did so well for me earlier today. Why you did so well for Loviatar. You truly understand the nature of pain, the depths of it. The comfort that it can bring, even if you derive that comfort from the alleviation thereof."
The two continued talking in hushed tones for a few moments, comparing rites and practices within their respective sects. The conversation was undoubtedly refreshing for each of them, not only because of their similar viewpoints but because neither of them had been able to engage in any kind of deep theological debate since the rise of the Absolute, if not before that. Larkspur couldn't remember the last time she'd been able to intellectually spar with someone in such sacred territory, and she was grateful for the opportunity. Thank you Ilmater, thank you Loviatar, she offered silently.
Abdirak pulled a bottle of wine from under his table, offering Larkspur a swig. She took it gladly, feeling its warmth splash down her throat and settle in her belly. "My sweet child," Abdirak looked at her as her lips wrapped around the bottleneck, "surely this conversation made you want to...pray... again? Attempt to apply the knowledge we have gained in worship?" His eyes glistened with hunger, but he held still and maintained the distance between them.
Larkspur nodded assent. "We owe it to our gods to take advantage of an opportunity to commune with them both. Perhaps our breakthroughs may grant their guidance to other worshippers, if the gods approve of our actions."
Abdirak stood, his broad chest flexing. "We will have no audience this time except for our gods. What a splendid offering we shall make. Are you prepared to give yourself completely in that pursuit?"
Larkspur had suspected that this would be the nature of their prayer. Rising from her seated position on the ground, she unlaced her shirt and tossed it aside. "If it pleases Ilmater, I will pray in whatever way he will hear me."
"In that case, dear one, do not stop there. Undress."
Larkspur shivered slightly, more anticipation of what was to come than the cold. It seemed the goblins had largely gone to sleep as well, so there was little risk of being seen by anyone other than Abdirak himself--not that that mattered as much to her as she would have expected. First she stepped out of her boots, then her pants. She peeled off her socks and slid out of her small clothes, leaving her standing in front of the altar fully exposed.
Abdirak's eyes raked over her, trailing from the tattoo on her throat to her breasts, nipples pricking with cold and arousal, to the soft curve of her stomach, and finally to the fold between her legs. "Good girl," he whispered, "Loviatar will surely be pleased with your offering."
Larkspur breathed once, twice, silently dedicating their actions to their gods, before turning to face the wall once more. "I am ready. Pray with me."
Abdirak needed no more encouragement. Selecting a whip from his table of instruments, he began to brush it across Larkspur's thighs and buttocks, picking up speed and force with each swing of his hand. The audible sting of the whip left Larkspur grinding her teeth, fighting the urge to whimper. She did not want to give in so early; she suspected this would be a long night and wanted to savour every moment. Whether that was for her god's benefit or her own, she was unsure.
When the pink stripes along her legs began to purple in the candlelight, Abdirak put the whip back on the table. "You were so quiet," he said with distaste. "Our gods will hardly be able to hear our prayer if you maintain such stoicism. Let yourself enjoy the act. Get lost in it. Only then can Loviatar find you."
Larkspur turned to face him. "Ilmater blesses those who suffer silently," she murmured, pupils wide. The warmth in her core was certainly not divine in origin. The wet growing between her thighs was undeniably mortal.
A low growl rumbled from Abdirak's throat. "Does he not bless those who suffer willingly? Does he not bless those who relish in that pain?"
Larkspur's breath caught. "Teach me to relish it, then. Show me how sweet agony can be."
His hands were on her waist before she had finished her sentence. Abdirak pressed his full weight against her, pinning her to the wall. He was much larger than she was, and fully dressed except for his exposed chest. She felt her nipples rubbing against his taught abdomen, felt his erection pressed into her soft thigh. Wordlessly, he pulled her hands up by the wrists until they were above her head, the stone rough and cool against her bare flesh. Taking a cord from around his waist, he tied them to a hook she had not realized was there a moment before. He wedged a knee between her thighs, forcing them to spread as he raked his nails down the tender undersides of her arms and down her torso. When he got to her hips, he continued to pull her legs apart until she was spread as wide as she could be against the wall, shackling her ankles in place.
Holding up the key to her chains, Abdirak took her chin into his other hand. "Listen, devoted one. If at any moment you wish our worship to stop, you have only to ask me for this key. Do you understand?"
Larkspur nodded, dazed somewhat, her thighs and back still aching from his prior ministrations.
"Answer me. Let Loviatar and Ilmater hear your consent. Let them know we devote this sweet moment to them," he ordered. His voice was heavy with anticipation, clearly holding himself back.
"Yes, yes, please, yes," Larkspur whined, sounding much more pitiful than she intended to.
Abdirak picked the whip up once more and began flicking it across the front of her thighs, moving higher, its sting biting at her pelvis, her stomach, her breasts. As the pain moved from her thighs up to infinitely more sensitive places on her skin, she felt herself writhe against her bindings. No release came from behind her, however--only the scrape of rough stone along her back. The pain was starting to blur into pleasure, and she offered it to her god. "Ilmater--bless this pain! Hear my prayer!" she wailed. In response, Abdirak flicked the whip directly across her nipples. A mewling sound burst from her lips as she arched her back into the sensation? Away from it?
Abdirak groaned, raising his voice to the heavens. "Loviatar, take this offering, grant us your understanding!" He put the whip down, removing his cloak and placing it beside his instruments of worship. Larkspur hung from the wall, panting, her cunt slick and her legs aching. "Shall we continue, my sweet supplicant? Or do you want me to let you down?" Abdirak's hand traced Larkspur's cheek.
Larkspur knew that the pain she had experienced so far was only one small fraction of what Abdirak could do to her. She knew that if she asked, he would let her down without question. But she also knew that the gnawing in her core would not be satisfied with just a whipping, that her prayers could be much more enthusiastic. "More," she pleaded.
Abdirak drew his hand back and slapped her across the face, hard. "Good girl," he praised, drawing his hand again across her other cheek. Larkspur gasped. No lover had ever dared use such force before in her limited range of experience, and she was unsure if she liked it or not. "Good girl," he repeated. "Our gods are so pleased with your performance. They will be thrilled with an encore."
His hands travelled down, pinching and twisting her nipples until she was once more arching her back and moaning. He slapped each breast for good measure, drawing louder and louder keening from her lips. When he was satisfied, his rough hands tugged her hips as far off of the wall as he could. With one hand he supported the arch of her back, while with the other he began to smack her pussy. She couldn't squirm away, couldn't do anything to stop the burning sting of his palm against her throbbing clit. The agony was ecstatic, and she heard herself screaming.
"YES, YES! LET ILMATER HEAR YOUR CRIES, DEAR ONE! LET LOVIATAR BLESS OUR OFFERING!" Abdirak roared, his words rising above her scream. Then, as soon as it had begun, he stopped touching her. Larkspur lay against the wall, dripping in sweat, shaking with pain and pleasure and religious fervor. His lack of touch almost hurt more than the torture she had been so willingly taking from him.
Abdirak had broken contact so abruptly in order to remove his pants, revealing a long cock already twitching with want. "If I spill in you, can we be sure that no unwanted consequences will come from this?"
Larkspur nodded, squirming again. She was on fire, painfully aware of the bruising stripes across her legs, the scraped flesh of her back, the emptiness within her cunt, now suddenly twitching and contracting around nothing. It was horrible, it was wonderful, it was confusing and overwhelming and an experience that made her glad she had a charm preventing pregnancy.
He waited for confirmation, then grabbed her hips once more to line up with her entrance. He was not gentle. From the first thrust, he was pounding into her, each push scraping her already torn flesh against the stone once more. Burying his face in her neck, he bit a line from her ear to her shoulder. She half expected him to draw blood. Each time his teeth met her skin, Larkspur squealed, rolling her hips up into Abdirak's.
"Loviatar, take her pain," he chanted between thrusts, "Ilmater, take her pain."
Larkspur was beyond the point of forming words. A high, desperate wail was turning to sobs when Abdirak came, grunting and pounding into her with damn near impossible speed. She felt his cock twitch and pulse inside her and knew with the stuttering of his prayer that he had reached orgasm.
Abdirak pulled out, taking a clean rag from a chest and pouring water from a carafe onto it. Gently, he slipped it between Larkspur's folds, catching his dripping cum before unshackling her ankles and untying her wrists. He wet a second rag and rubbed her scraped back, gently cleaning the sweat and blood before moving to wipe her limbs and torso. He looked her over, assessing her injuries with a pleased expression. "What a beautiful sacrifice you made, sweet one," he hummed into her ear. "Can you make one last offering before I send you on your way?"
He slipped one, two calloused fingers into her slit, tracing a circle on her clit with the index finger of his other hand. Larkspur was still shaking into his hand, and it took little stimulation from Abdirak for her to follow him into orgasm with a soft howl. He held her steady in his lap for a moment, waiting for her to come down before helping her rise to her feet.
"Surely our gods will be pleased with the prayers we raised up tonight. I know I was," he smiled warmly. "If you ever wish to pray again, you know where to find me. I enjoyed exploring the divinity of agony with you."
Larkspur smiled weakly. The experience had been a unique one, certainly, and not unpleasant, but she was unlikely to seek out such intimate brutality again.
Feeling suddenly very small and alone as Abdirak walked into the darkness of the temple, Larkspur pulled her small clothes on, wincing with every touch of the cloth on her battered skin. Lacing her breeches, pulling her shirt over her head, Larkspur felt a deep exhaustion settle into her bones. She didn't even fully lace up her boots before stumbling out of the altar to Loviatar and trudging back to camp. Every fiber of her being ached, and she couldn't decide if she was stifling cries of joy or misery as she reached the campfire and her warm tent. She couldn't quite decide if she had enjoyed her experience, or if her deity had. Still, even in her dazed and overstimulated state, she couldn't help but notice that a small light, as if from a candle, was snuffed out in Gale's tent as she opened the flap of her tent. He waited for me to come back, she thought sluggishly, or is that just a coincidence?
Her eyes fluttered closed and sleep washed over her. The loneliness has dissipated slightly at the sight of that candlelight. Whether Gale had been quietly waiting to be sure she got back safely or simply reading late into the night, the knowledge of his presence was comforting. She knew she would be unbearably sore come morning, and that the mouth-shaped bruising on her neck would not be easily explained away as battle wounds. Odile would certainly ask questions, smirking all the while. Karlach would probably congratulate her on getting some with a hearty slap on the back, which would hardly make the bruising and scabbing along her spine heal faster. Astarion would be disgusted, or jealous, each in an effort to disguise some truer feeling. Whether he would be jealous that Abdirak got to ravish her or that she got to be ravished Larkspur couldn't anticipate. Lae'zel and Shadowheart would sniff in disapproval if they knew how she had spent her night, viewing such activities as a waste of time in such a dire situation. Wyll would be too tactful to say anything, a true gentleman. But Gale... How would Gale respond to the knowledge of what she had experienced? The intimate bruising, the loving ministrations of pain made private. She didn't feel shame, exactly, but she did feel a soft sadness descend on her. Ilmater's will be done she murmured, but why do I feel so empty?
Her sleepy, lust-tainted thoughts wandered to Gale. Gale's beautiful hands, such long fingers... How would they feel buried inside her as Abdirak's had been? Gale's voice, low and sensual in her ear... Would he ever say such praise to her as Abdirak had whispered? Gale's intelligence, his interest in all things arcane or intellectual... Could she have such electrically charged conversations with him? Gale's eyes, so sad but so warm... Larkspur couldn't imagine him being so harsh with his hands, so rough with his hips. Part of her wanted him to be, but most of her wanted him to be soft and gentle. Above all, she just wanted him to touch her. Since pulling him from that portal, the feel of his hands had been traced into her memory. He had shown little to no interest in her so far beyond the platonic, and that was probably for the best, but GODS did Larkspur want him to want her as badly as she wanted him.
She drifted into sleep, wishing that Abdirak's rough hands had been Gale's tender ones, wishing that her bedroll was warm with his body heat rather than cold with the absence of the lover she had shared her night with. Her last thought before sleep claimed her was Ilmater, forgive me. Loviatar's suffering should have been a gift. I am grateful. But still, the emptiness in her core betrayed her lie.
Yandere! Yae Miko with an Isekai Darling! from or own world is living in my head rent free and I really want to talk about it.
As the chief editor of Yae Publishing House, Yae has naturally read thousands upon thousands of books in a very short time and she is familiar with every single trope possible. She doesn't necessarily spend her free time lost high up in the clouds, stuck in a fantasy land but she'd be liar if the thought of going to a different world me er crossed her mind.
Imagine her shock once something similar happens one day, but slightly reversed.
Stepping foot onto the front porch one morning, Yae was met with an interesting sight before her - laying on the ground was a complete stranger in clothing she had never seen before, talking in a language that sounded like a confusing puzzle to her ears. The stranger was in a state of shock once they saw the Guji Yae as they immediately went in to pinch themselves, before they started to squeal like a little pig.
She was intrigued, to say the least.
The language was an obvious problem but the two of you did your best to make it work any time you could. Yae took great pleasure in messing with her cute new friend but there were times when they'd somehow be able to perfectly predict her actions which admittedly shocked the kitsune.
One of her favorite past times was taking her new favorite person to stroll across Inazuma city and to see your dazzled face, a bit too dazzled in her opinion. She spoiled them with good food and clothing and she did everything in her power to teach her little sakura bloom the language the best she could but it was so different that it felt almost impossible.
What was even more impossible though was just how well her little flower was settling in this seemingly foreign land.
While her flower was not a born fighter they did seem to know and understand some things that the general populace did not know about, which would have been mostly okay had it not been for the fact that they managed to solve some mysteries and puzzles at the mere drop of a hat which took even some of the brightest people in the whole nation to figure out.
There was a secret, and she knew it.
You on the other hand were beyond excited, albeit worried. How and when did you managed to get sucked into Genshin Impact was a complete mystery to you but you didn't have time to dwell on it, not when there were so many things to do and people to met. Despite Yae's intense stares she did take you under her wing and made sure you were safe, and you did your best to repay her in any way you could. You were like a buzzing bee, always flowing around wherever you could with nothing standing in your way.
But not even you were immune to homesickness.
As fun as this was, you did have an old life waiting for you back home. Friends, family, duty, all of those things were tying you down and it felt wrong to stay in Teyvat for so long, no matter how well you fit in. You had a blast with making friends with the playable and non playable characters, despite the huge wall of the language and cultural barrier.
Lady Yae certainly made it easier for you.
She's not stupid, she can see what you're trying to do - you want to leave. Why? How insolent of you, trying to run away from her... She could devour you whole and you would never even see it coming. She chuckled and stopped herself, there was no use in getting angry. Not when she was so close in discovering more and more about you. You weren't the only one who was digging around for new information and exploring to your hearts content. Thanks to her wit and the many favors people owe her Miko had managed to develop a special device that would allow you to understand any language that exists in Teyvat and she couldn't wait for you to try it on. It was in the form of a simple necklace because she ordered it so. She couldn't wait to put it on you, she could hardly stay put.
What a pity that she was met with confused gazes and screams of her name once she came back to the shrine with the little trinket.
Her little sakura bloom had vanished into thin air.
Going into your room it was obvious that you had studied spell craft and managed to transport yourself back home without her or her permission. She smirked as a bitter feeling rised in her chest, a predatory glint in her eye as she toyed with the ashes on the ground, determined filled her mind and heart. She was more than willing to play chase with you, this silly cat and mouse.
If you were able to get here, why can't she come to you herself?
This will get interesting.
Enid x reader - just one date
Tumblr media
Heyyy idk if you need specifics, but can you do another enid x reader? Just one date was so good! - @gayestfeels26 💜
Part two:
A/N: so I decided to do a part two! And we’re gonna explore the mysterious (Y/N) Addams some more ;)
Enid was curious as to where you were taking her, but you wouldn’t answer her questions, you just carefully walked her through the forest.
“What about the Hyde?” She whispered.
She knew the creature was still around, it struck on some random hiker last night who ignored the warnings but you didn’t seem phased by it.
“It is safe here, trust me my love, no harm will come of you I can assure you.” You smiled.
Enid smiled back.
She loved your smile, the slight crookedness, the way your eyes crinkled as you did. There was something so pure, wholesome, loving yet mischievous about it.
She nodded her head and turned back to where you were leading her, it was an old archway and she stopped.
“Please don’t tell me this is some case thing for your sister?” She begged.
“No, of course not. I come here most nights, it’s okay.”
Enid hesitated, and you let go of her arm, stepping into the archway as you offered her your hand, a gentle smile gracing your lips.
“Just a few steps, if you dare that is my dear.” You grinned a little.
There was something thrilling about this, something about the wild pounding of her heart, the fear coursing through her veins.
Enid would have never thought it, but she was excited about whatever she was about to step into.
She reached out, taking a step as she took your hand in hers and allowed you to gently pull her into the fallen ruins.
You led her a bit further in then you stopped, standing in the middle of it all.
Behind you was the lake, the moonlight glistening of the gently flowing water, bouncing back up into the clear sky.
You slowly took your blazer off, walking closer you draped it over her before taking a few steps back again.
“Before we get into this Enid, I must confess something to you, before we go too far, if that is okay?”
“Of course.” She nodded.
You took a deep breath, loosening your tie just a little bit as you looked at her.
“Do you remember the first question you asked when I arrived?”
Enid thought about this for a moment.
“Why you were in Nevermore.”
You nodded your head.
“My sister is a Normie, most of my family is. Though Wednesday and I are related, I inherited something she didn’t.”
You gave her a soft look.
“Are you sure you wish to continue this? You can leave now, walk away. But if you choose to stay I trust you will still accept me for who I am.”
Enid started to worry, but she was also curious.
The very question she had been asking herself since she first met you, the question you never answered when anybody asked.
What were you?
She was so close to finding out, but she was terrified.
A few moments went by, and Enid watched you.
“Yes, I’m sure. No matter what you’ll still be the annoying Addams who’s madly in love with me.” She chuckled softly.
You laughed weakly and nodded your head.
You raised your hands, a small breeze circling the pair of you as you tilted your head back towards the sky.
You began to chant something in a language she couldn’t recognise.
Small blue orbs started to shimmer and rise from the ground, surrounding you both as everything began to take shape.
Enid watched in pure amazement.
The destroyed castle that laid bare and empty slowly began to come to life, the missing pieces glowing blue, but she could still make out all the shapes.
Enid didn’t take long to realise where you were both stood.
In the middle of a grand ball room, the lights lit up the dark space that surrounded the pair of you.
Finally you stopped chanting, slowly lowering your head to look at her, lowering your hands to your sides.
“H.. how…?”
“I have magic, I specialise in conjuring, healing and illusion, which is what you see here. It is a mixture of both conjuring and illusion.”
You seemed to be unsure when telling her, for the first time you confident, cocky exterior melted away, and you were scared, worried.
“When most people find out they assume I use magic to coerce their feelings into something I want. Which is why I didn’t tell you, I didn’t want you to think that.”
Enid pulled your blazer around her a little tighter.
“Everything I’ve ever done, said, felt, you swear you’ve never used your magic on me?” She asked.
You placed a hand over your heart and gave a small bow.
“I swear on my very life, and if I lie my the gods smite me down where I stand. I have never once used my magic on you Enid Sinclair.”
You stayed in that position, waiting for her to say something in reply.
“I believe you.”
Enid walked over, placing her hands on your cheeks as she lifted your face up to look at her, a soft smile on her lips.
“I know you’d never do that.” She whispered.
Enid reached around, wrapping her arms around your neck as she pulled you in for a hug.
You wasted no time in hugging her back, wrapping her arms tightly around her waist.
Enid buried her face in your shoulder, and you held her closely, pressing a tender kiss to the side of her head.
“So, will you allow this date to continue my love?” You asked quietly.
Enid pulled away, taking your hands in hers as she gave you the brightest smile you had ever seen.
“Yes! Under one condition!”
“Anything for you.”
“I want to see more magic, and you have to answer any questions I ask.”
You brought her knuckles up to your lips and gently kissed them both.
“Of course.”
So that’s how the night when, you showed her different illusions she asked for, conjured her flowers and cute animals and little stars.
You answered all of her questions in detail, and after a few hours she sat on the cold ground in your arms, both of you staring up at the sky.
You made the castle disappear, and you both were just sat in darkness enjoying the time together.
Enid yawned and you looked down at her.
“Tired mi amour?” You asked softly.
She nodded her head and you swept her up into your arms, carrying her back to Nevermore so she didn’t have to walk.
You looked down at her half asleep form, a gentle smile on your face as you snuck back into the school grounds.
You managed to sneak into Ophelia Hall, and slipped into her room, looking over at your sister.
“And here I thought you killed her, how boring.” Wednesday said.
“I wouldn’t dream of killing Enid.”
Walking over to her bed, you gently laid her down and covered her up with your blazer before walking over to Wednesdays bed and sitting on the edge.
“Why aren’t you sleep?”
Wednesday didn’t reply.
“The visions?” You asked.
She just gave a Curt nod.
You motioned for her to move over and she did, letting you get under the covers as you both laid on your back.
You raised your hands and started to conjure scorpions and spiders and all things creepy for her.
“I’m not a child anymore.” Wednesday hissed slightly.
“I’m aware dear sister, but I know this also helps you relax.”
“Nothing helps me relax, I am stuck in a constant stage of despair knowing I am related to you.”
You chuckled softly and shook your head, still creating the little creatures for your sister.
She didn’t say anything, but soon you felt her relax, she gripped your shirt and kept you there and you didn’t dare move.
You knew Wednesday had been suffering to sleep for a while, so it was your responsibility to help her, and this way you could keep an eye on Enid as well, making sure the cold didn’t get to her.
You were gone by early morning, but Wednesday knew you had just recently left because Enid was tucked in, yet your blazer was still there.
When Enid finally woke up, she stretched and slowly sat up, gripping your blazer tightly in her hands, a huge grin on her face.
She rushed to get ready and ran straight down to your dorm.
She banged on the door and you called for her to come in.
“Mi amour, what brings you by?” You asked.
You turned around, pulling a hoodie on over your shirt as you looked at her.
Enid held your blazer out and carefully draped it over a chair.
“You forget this.”
Then she walked over.
“And this.”
Grabbing your tie, she pulled you down and hastily kissed you, and you eagerly responded.
Your hands settled on her waist as you pulled her closer before pulling away a few seconds later.
“Does this make you my girlfriend…?” You asked softly.
Enid grinned a little bit.
“Nope, you’re not allowed to be my partner just yet~” she sang.
With that, she walked to your wardrobe, grabbed a hoodie then she skipped away and you smirked to yourself.
“I’ll make you mine one day my dear!” You called after her.
Enid wore a grin on her face as she walked away, pulling one of your hoodies over her head.
She loved playing this game with you, and she decided she was going to drag it out a little bit longer before agreeing to be your girlfriend
“Your brother has no clue?” She asked, leaning back in the car seat as she looked out of the window. Ellie - Jake’s younger sister - laughed beside her in the driver's seat.
“Not one bit.” They both chuckled in unison, a big excited grin spreading over their lips. While it was her surprise, the younger Seresin shared the anticipation.
“And you are sure we aren’t going to run into him before the game?” There was this concern still left, as she didn’t want the surprise to be spoiled for him. Jake and she hadn’t seen each other in weeks, she was excited to see her boyfriend again but even more, she was excited for him to be surprised by it. Even more than for the surprise to be spoiled, she wanted him to be able to focus on his game tonight.
“Nah, we got him distracted. His teammates are in on the surprise,” conspiratorially Ellie grinned over at her, “His coach too.” “Even his coach?” She was impressed to hear that, smirking to herself about the dedication. His family had gone all out with the surprise she had planned. What originally had been meant to be just a small sweet surprise for her clueless boyfriend had turned into an elaborate game plan involving first his family and as it seemed now also his team. The moment she had told them about her idea they had been on board.
“I can’t wait to see his face!” The youngest Seresin sibling snickered, more than excited to see the face her big brother would make once he saw his girlfriend again.
“So how is it? Over there I mean?” Smiling over at Ellie she thought for a moment.
“It’s not Texas,” she said and chuckled as Ellie rolled her eyes, muttering a ‘duh’. “It’s different but nice. I miss you all very much, I know that is all you want to hear anyways.” “No! That’s not true,” Ellie protested, “okay maybe. But I really want to know how it is. You know I’m going to be stuck here for at least two more years. If I even manage to convince mum and dad to let me go to college somewhere further away.”
“You make it sound like that’s something bad.” Beside her, Ellie groaned and pouted.
“It isn’t…I’m just saying it’s not what I want.” And she knew that. She remembered how Ellie had even begged to take her with her. The youngest Seresin had always wanted to leave their home state and explore the outside.
“I know El. But believe me, once you are away you are going to miss it here.” She definitely did. Moving away on her own to a new place wasn’t easy. As much as she loved it, as much as she wanted to fulfill her dreams, it was hard. Leaving the one place she knew and called home and with it, everyone that played an important part in her life was one of the hardest things she had to do.
“I wish you could have stayed for the summer still. One last summer with both of you.” Ellie murmured as they pulled into the driveway of the Seresin family ranch. A heavy pit formed in the depth of her stomach. The younger girl's words held a heavy truth.
“Yeah,” she mumbled solemnly, “I wish that too.” As much as she loved getting a headstart for college and to have even been offered the opportunity to intern at a place for work experience even before starting her undergrad, it caused her to miss out on so much. She was missing out on the last year of her teenage years. Her last summer of high school. And most importantly her last summer with Jake before he’d leave to go to the Academy.
She was grateful there wasn’t much time for her to wallow in those thoughts as Jake’s mother came out of the house the moment she heard the engine turn off. Ellie and she exited the car at the same time, the smell and view of the place hit her instantly. It felt like home. The smile that spread over her face was so bright it pulled at the corners of her mouth, there was even a slight dust of wetness along her eyes.
“Oh, dear! I’m so happy to see you again.” Getting swept up in one of mama Seresin’s bear hugs was one of the best feelings in the world. That she had decided the moment she had met the woman. Jake’s mother exuded motherly warmth like no one else and maybe - even if she would never tell that to Jake - she was her favorite person in his entire family.
“I missed you!” She mumbled, nearly overwhelmed with the relief and heartache of being home again, of seeing the people she had so dearly longed for.
“We missed you too dear. Jake especially.” The corners of her mouth wavered slightly, still smiling but not as brightly as before. While she knew they all meant well, it hurt to hear them remind her that he missed her. It hurt because she was the one responsible for it.
Jake didn’t let her notice that he missed her, even if she knew deep down. He tried to be tough before her - for her really - never showing or talking about it, always putting on a brave face and being his happy self whenever they talked or facetimed.
It had taken a toll on both of them. This was the first taste of separation and long-distance they had gotten. They only knew what was still to come and that with Jake entering the Navy Academy they would be even more restricted in seeing each other.
Before she knew it she was sitting in the big and open kitchen of the ranch house. The light interior had always been welcoming to her and the scent of freshly baked pie and other goods always made her mouth salivate. Ellie came bouncing down the stairs and plopped down in the chair beside her with a smirk. She leaned over to her, hand before her mouth, and whisper-shouted into her ear. “I brought your bag into Jake’s room.”
She had to laugh over the exaggerated smirk the younger one shot her before she glanced over at the matriarch of the family. Their eyes briefly met, making her cheeks heat up. It wasn’t like she hadn’t stayed over before, then too, they’d shared Jake's bed. He was a good boy, raised well by his mom so he wouldn’t dare to do something unjust under her roof. She would never dream of doing anything with his parents in the house either. But the implications were there.
“Are you hungry dear?”
“No, I ate before the flight but thank you.” She was much too nervous for later, to eat something right now. All that she wanted was for the time to go by faster so it would be time to go to the game. Luckily catching up with the seresin women made the time run by. When the front door opened with a loud pop all three of them looked up.
“Savannah!” Ellie jumped up and smiled seeing the oldest seresin sibling. She too smiled at seeing Jake’s older sister.
“Hey! Why aren’t you all ready yet?” Savannah looked questioningly at them, worming her way out of Ellie’s embrace before she walked over to her to hug her too. “It’s so good to see you! Jake’s going to be so happy to see you.”
“I hope he cries and I can get it on film.” “Ellie!”
“Sorry, mum.”
Both Savannah and her laughed at Ellie’s absolutely unapologetic tone. Her mischievous grin matched as they pulled out of the hug.
“Are you ready to go?” Savannah asked once more, alerting them of the actual time. They had talked so much and so enthusiastically that they hadn’t noticed time rushing by. Glancing at each other, she nodded at both Mrs seresin and Savannah. It was not before Ellie shouted loudly, “Wait!”,  stopping them from walking towards the front door. She rushed up the stairs, feet stomping loudly which made Mrs seresin roll her eyes.
Not long after Ellie came running down the stairs again, this time with something in her hand that she held out towards her now. Confused, she took it, unfolding what she discovered was a clothing item.
Not any clothing item in fact. As she unfolded it, the first thing to catch her eye was the large number sprawled across the back and then right above it in bold lettering ‘Seresin’. Looking up again she smiled at Ellie, thankful for the younger ones' genius.
“Isn’t that the one he kept looking for earlier?” Savannah asked, pointing at the jersey to which Ellie nodded.
“Yep. His lucky jersey.” She smiled proudly at all of them again.
“Ellie!” Mrs. Seresin scolded once more, shaking her head in disbelief. “You could have taken every other jersey. Not his lucky one.” Ellie just shrugged her shoulders once more innocently, while her mother watched on exasperated.
“Poor boy nearly went crazy looking for it earlier,” Mrs. Seresin mumbled, which made her bite her lip. She knew how important his lucky charms were for Jake. He wasn’t very superstitious but this was the exception.
“But what better lucky charm does he have than his girlfriend?” Ellie argued, pointing at her, who still held the jersey in her hand. While she had listened to the argument between them, her thumb had started to softly rub over the printed name on the back of it.
“It doesn’t matter anymore does it now? Now it’s already too late to still bring it to Jake, mum.” Savannah intervened, fearing they would be late if mother and daughter kept arguing.
“I’m sure he won’t mind the jersey,” she piped in, smiling shyly at all of them. Jake wouldn’t even bat an eyelash at the jersey once he saw her. Mrs. Seresin smiled at her and nodded and Ellie grinned at her too, nodding wildly.
“Put it on, put it on!” Ellie encouraged her. Smiling, she nodded and shrugged the jersey over her head. It was much too big on her, hanging off one shoulder and the sleeves covered her hands. The three Seresin women all took a moment to look at her. The intense looks made her neck and cheeks heat up once more.
It was Savannah then once more, who began to speak, ushering them all out of the house so they could leave. Right now. Ellie and she took the lead, walking out of the front door first to get the car(s). Which left her with Jake’s mother to leave the house and while they walked out of the door, mama seresin spoke up too,
“You know I hope one day Jake will make you a real Seresin.”
The stadium was already quite full when they arrived and continued to only fill up even more after they had found some good seats in the stands. Ellie had instructed some friends to save them good but inconspicuous seats so Jake wouldn’t see any of them while playing. It warmed her heart how everyone jumped at the opportunity to help her make this surprise be good.
“Oh, it’s starting!” Ellie gushed, pointing towards the field where the players started to run up.
Her heart started to rapidly beat as her eyes landed on one certain blonde player. His face and hair were mostly covered by the helmet he was wearing but it was still him. She would recognize Jake everywhere. Seeing him, even from such a distance, had her feeling lightheaded. For the longest weeks, she had only seen him through her phone screen, in a rather grainy and pixelated version - thanks to the weak internet her accomodation had - so seeing him in person was special. It made the butterflies in her stomach sprout again, just like the first time she had seen him.
Her eyes never wavered from his form. Not one moment during the game did she glance away. She couldn’t. No game could be more interesting to her than Jake. Even if it was a very gripping and thrilling game. Both teams fought tooth and nail to get the lead, the scores head to-head for most of the game until finally, in the end, they got the upper hand.
The stands erupted in loud cheers and whoops as the team won. Savannah, Ellie, and she started screaming and cheering, the two sisters embraced, before Ellie turned around and pulled her into a crushing hug. The way she jumped up and down shook her a little but ultimately made her laugh.
“I think that’s the best game they played this entire season,” Savannah said behind the two of them, a happy and proud grin lighting up her face. She didn’t miss the glint in her eyes as Savannah winked at her with a hint of suggestion.
“Come on! Let’s go down!” Ellie prodded at the two of them, pointing towards the lawn where the team was huddled together to celebrate. It was a mess of players, all high-fiving and hugging and cheering together.
She felt a shove on her shoulder, “Let’s go surprise him now,” she suggested with another nudge. “Okay okay, don’t shove me down the stairs!” She laughed at the younger one's enthusiasm as she wiggled her way through the crowd and took the stairs downwards. Many people already made their way out of the stadium which meant they were walking against the flow of the mass.
The closer they came to the lawn, the more her nerves acted up. She hadn’t been nervous during the game. Maybe a little while she had been engrossed in the match, rooting for her boyfriend's team but that wasn’t anything to compare to now. She felt her throat close up in anxious anticipation, making swallowing much harder.
Behind her, she heard Ellie fumble around with something. When she glanced back to make sure she was alright, she saw her looking down at her phone. Right, she had wanted to film the surprise.
Down on the lawn, her nerves skyrocketed once more. From the stands above the field, she had had a much better view over the different players but now Jake had vanished in the sea of jerseys. Her eyes swept over the group, and many familiar names on the jersey’s stuck out to her but not the one she was looking for. Sometimes she met familiar eyes that recognized her. But more than a fast exchange of a smile was never in. She had a mission.
Finally, her eyes landed on the blonde mop of hair and the tan, strong neck flowing down into the broad shoulders she loved so much. The printed ‘Seresin’ in white on his back shone out to her. There was excitement bubbling up in her stomach once more and a grin spreading on her face.
One last time she looked back towards Ellie and Savannah, smiling at them and giving them a thumbs up. They smiled back at her just as brightly, Ellie waving her away. With a small laugh, she turned around and made her way through the crowd toward her chosen one.
Jake had no clue, he stood with his back to her and was talking to some of his friends and fellow teammates. One of them looked over his shoulders and when his eyes met hers, she held her finger up over her lips, signaling for him to keep quiet. It worked and less than a minute later she finally stood behind him.
The clearing of her throat he didn’t hear, so she tapped him on the shoulder, hard enough so he would feel it. Jake turned around almost instantly and when he did he had to do a double-take. His expression slipped off his face and was replaced with shock.
In a matter of seconds, he had thrown his helmet to the floor, carelessly away so his hands were free before he jumped forward and tackled her. She was swept up in his arms, her feet lifted up from the floor as Jake held her in his arms and hugged her tightly. And while she was pressed against him, she laughed - albeit a little wetly as tears of happiness gathered in her eyes - happily, clutching his shoulders.
“What- Are you real?” She heard him mumble against her neck, where Jake had pressed his face. The tears choked her up so much she couldn’t speak and instead just nodded, while her hands softly rubbed over his back and his neck.
For most of the hug, they stayed quiet, just enjoying the moment and holding each other close. It felt so incredibly good to be back in his arms, to feel him against her, to smell his shampoo in her nose.
At one point Jake slowly put her down again. He did so more reluctantly, because truly he didn’t want to let her go but the game had exhausted him, his arms and shoulders were starting to throb from holding her up. When her feet touched the ground again, he looked at her. Up and down, he eyed her intently, zeroing in on her face as if he still couldn’t believe she was there. Softly she smiled up at him and reached one hand out to caress his cheek.
“I’m really here,” she softly mumbled. The brightest smile she had ever seen on his face broke out at that. It made her heart flutter once more with happiness.
Jake swept in once more, this time kissing her. He kissed her with a might that made her dizzy and had her nearly stumbling back. A giggle erupted between them, as their lips stayed connected, his nose softly nudging against hers. Her fingers brushed through the short her at the nape of his neck while his hands wrapped around her waist once more securely pressing her against his chest.
Cheers erupted all around them as his team caught on to what was happening. There were a couple of wolf whistles and suggestive yet encouraging shouts centered around spurring Jake on. But all of that didn’t bother them one bit. They were so focused on each other that they could not have been there at all.
“I love you,” he mumbled against her lips once they parted for air. Jake pressed another small kiss against her lips before he pulled away further, eyeing her once more with that happy glint in his eyes.
“Surprise.” Hearing him laugh was one of the greatest sounds the world had to offer. It was warm and hearty and it made her stomach tingle whenever she heard it.
“You,” he pointed his finger at her, softly tickling her side a little, “are the best Darlin’.”
“Alright, enough smooching! You can do that later when you are alone!” Ellie interrupted just as Jake wanted to lean down for another kiss. He looked up and shot his little sister a dirty look. One she pointedly ignored. When he spied the rest of his family he straightened up.
While they left the lawn altogether Jake kept one arm casually thrown over her shoulder. She was comfortably pressed against his side, one arm wrapped around his lower back. They trailed behind his family, sneaking glances at the other and smiling like lovesick fools. At one point she felt a small tug at the bottom of the jersey, before Jake spoke up, “So that’s where that went.”
Chapter 1: Lost & Found
Mallory took a deep breath as she looked towards the small opening that led her deeper into the cave she searched in. It was beyond her how an unknown mineral that crashed into the Earth’s surface would have been able to get this deep. Perhaps it was due to the mineral itself, maybe the density and the weight had it plummet further than the crater NASA had marked it at.
But she had to find it now, otherwise, she wouldn’t have a job to return to.
“You’re an executive assistant Mallory, not an explorer.” She muttered to herself, trying to discourage herself from the risk ahead of her; it was her natural reaction to anything excitable. She sighed again with a small shake of her head, finding her two parts fighting themselves within her. “There was a reason that report came by your desk Mallory, you got this. We’ve crawled into smaller caves.”
She shook her hands, arms and then shoulders as if trying to physically shake off her doubts. Her eyes became fixed on the small crack, analyzing it to imagine how she would squeeze through it. She brought her flashlight to peer through but she saw nothing but black—that did not help her confidence.
Shocked, and admittedly scared, at the black void that was behind that crack, Mallory stood back. Her muscles tensed as she felt the voice of self-doubt start to take over her mind but then, like a soothing relief, she heard a buzzing hum fill her ears. If she could explain this sensation to anyone, it would be like a frequency being sent through her body, muscles and skin. Her whole body tingled in a way that made her feel like she was floating, like she was not where she was yet it also provided her with a laser focus.
A focus that was fixated on that crack she had been quarrelling about entering or not. A focus that removed all previous inhibitions and hesitations and had her, uncharacteristically, leaping at the chance to find the object, being or thing that was bringing her this sense of unhinged freedom of thought and being.
Callously she shoved her body into the crack, quickly moving and shifting herself to squeeze through the small opening. She could not feel her feet touch the ground, something that would have made her immediately retreat but something about that humming sensation let her know it was safe—like she had done this before; akin to a moment of déjà vu.
Mallory released her grip and let her body fall, sure she would fall safely to the floor—or whatever lay beneath her—and she did. Gracefully she landed on her feet, her knees barely buckling under the sudden force and solid ground.
The moment she was sure of her footing, a small, glowing and pulsating light caught her attention. It was subtle and distant, but it shed enough light for her to follow—as upon immediate attempt at using her flashlight Mallory realized that it was, somehow, useless here. Something that, once again, under normal circumstances would have caused an immense amount of concern for Mallory however this glowing light, and humming frequency, was consuming all of her focus.
Her heart was beating so quickly at the anticipation to see what was here, what was causing these lights and sensations. The excitement of discovering something new, the elated thrill-seeking that Mallory always wanted to have in her life but her fears and anxiety never allowed. The eagerness to finally get her hands on a small piece of the great vastness of space that had always consumed her mind, even as a child.
Mallory rounded the corner to see a slender piece of metal embedded into a rock. Crystals covered the small cavern that this object had sculpted around itself. She felt crazy to even think that it felt like this metal was…alive? The pulsing light felt like breaths, it's hum like a voice, it’s frequency like it’s embrace. For a woman who never felt like she had belonged—like she was always out of place or in the way—it felt odd that, for once, she felt like this was where she was meant to be.
Mallory approached the metal object when a crackle pierced through the calming hum that had surrounded her.
“Do you see anything?” A woman’s voice called out to her, yet it didn’t echo like it should within a cave. It sounded like it was coming from a pair of broken headphones. Mallory paused a moment, waiting to hear the voice again, and looking around to make sure she was alone. But the crackle never reappeared and, instead, the calm humming from the metal returned to fill her senses, her focus back onto the alien metal.
She reached out to it, feeling a heaviness set upon her body as if she were wearing a suit of iron. She also felt her hair start to float, and her vision shake, yet that humming frequency told her it was all okay. It embraced her, calmed her, and enticed her to continue to reach.
The moment she touched that metal object she felt like she was flung through the cosmos, the humming turning into a symphony of unknown sounds and visuals, overwhelming her senses and surroundings before suddenly bringing her to black.
Mallory had no concept of where she was. She tried to open her eyes but they were too heavy, she tried to breathe but there was no air, yet she somehow saw her surroundings and did not feel as if she was suffocating. She stood on an invisible floor, surrounded by the stars within a black void. Slowly, a large light appeared before her, the same light that had filled the cave, taking the form of the image she had been brought to when grabbing that piece of metal.
But another, unexpected, image appeared. One of herself, yet it wasn’t her, only looked like her.
This image stood in front of Mallory, expressionless, and donned in what looked like advanced spacewear. Mallory did not understand. She looked around her franticly, no longer hearing the humming that had entranced her, no longer being under that spell that had her lose her senses. She shot another, more panicked, look at the image, reflection, of herself.
“It’s too soon.” It said to her in a voice that could only be described as otherworldly, inhuman—godly.
Before Mallory could even bring a thought to her mind to speak or ask questions, she felt the same force that pulled her to this place, push her back out of it. Yet where she was sent was not where, or when, she had been.
“Dusty!” A familiar voice called out to her. “Snap out of it.” The voice demanded of Mallory, who slowly felt herself brought to the present moment and unable to remember where she had just been. She opened her eyes to see a large, bright, circle light above her that was attached to some machinery she had never seen. With a glance to the side, in search of the owner of the voice, Mallory shot up in shock.
She stared at two people she did not know, in a facility she was not familiar with—yet how was her voice familiar?
“Woah, woah.” The man said to Mallory’s immediate panic. She looked at him, her eyes going wide as his did too. It was obvious that her panic was a shock or concern to him. “Take it easy there, okay?” He asked of her in a calm tone. “You were out cold, just take a moment. Deep breaths.” Mallory allowed herself a deep breath, looking to the floor beneath her. After a moment of silence, she heard the two people step aside and speak with hushed tones.
“Physically she is fine.” The man continued to speak. “Mentally…,” he hesitated, “the jury is still out.”
“Where am I?” Mallory finally croaked, finding her throat hoarse and her mind, terrifyingly, blank. She couldn’t remember where she was, she couldn’t remember where she had been before this, she didn’t recognize these people. She needed to understand. Mallory looked up to see the two individuals look at her with great concern, the woman quickly masking hers yet the man continued to frown; she hoped he would be kind enough to answer her question.
“You don’t remember?” He asked her, slowly approaching Mallory in his metal suit. All she could do was slowly shake her head, feeling the fear and panic set in. He paused to watch her, his brows pinching together in concern. “Do you remember anything?” He asked her.
It hurt to think, a sharp pain spiking in her temples as Mallory tried to concentrate as hard as she could on the moments before this.
“Leave her be, she just needs time to wake up.” The woman spoke up. It was something in her voice, or tone or cadence that brought a sudden memory to Mallory.
“I work for NASA.” She said, excitedly, as she looked back towards the man, hoping that this news would bring some clarity to her moment. However, when she saw him scowl deeply, even more concern present in his expression than before, Mallory did not feel reassured.
“Lin, we need to get her to a doc.” The man said to the woman, Lin.
“Calm down, Hellar. Let’s just get her to the surface—hopefully, some fresh air will do her some good. Client’s on their way anyways, so we need to go up, get paid and then move on from this.” Lin grabbed Mallory by her arms and lifted her up into a standing position. Unlike the two of them, she wasn’t in an armored suit but she wore clothes she did not remember—although at this point it wasn’t entirely alarming to Mallory that she didn’t recognize it.
At least, it wasn’t more alarming to Mallory than not remembering the more important things. As she slowly followed Lin and Hellar, she was deep in thought on what she did, or could manage, to remember.
My name is Mallory Harper . She told herself. I am an Executive Assistant to Claire Munroe, Director of Resource Management, at NASA. I was born in Scarborough, Ontario. My mother’s name was Samantha, and my father’s was Clark. He worked as a car mechanic. I was an only child. Everything will be fine. Everything will be fine.
“Don’t worry dusty,” Hellar told her as the large elevator finally brought them out of the cave.
“My name is—” She muttered the rest as Mallory saw, with her own eyes, a planet incredibly close to the surface she stood on. It was large, with rings, yet it was not Saturn. It also meant that wherever she stood, it must be a moon of this unknown planet. Immediately, any sliver of hope she had that she was still on Earth was shattered.
The stress of the situation made the next series of events a whirlwind, to express it the best.
A spaceship—SPACESHIP—flew down onto a landing pad in the outpost they were in. She was greeted by an alarmingly cheerful man named Barrett and a walking, talking, robot named Vasco. If that wasn’t enough, the way Barrett studied her when Lin advised that she had touched some metal object—the one he sought—left her feeling quite uneasy. Especially since she didn’t remember grabbing any such object in the first place.
There was a hint of knowledge behind his gaze, a life of people watching gave Mallory enough skill in insight to know when someone was holding their cards close to their chest.
That look was the only moment of clarity that Mallory had before another spaceship appeared and Barrett commanded Vasco to take Mallory aboard his ship; citing ‘Protocol Indigo’. It was chaos around her. Hellar and Lin drew weapons, Barrett drew what looked like a pistol and Vasco was shooting lasers toward the oncoming others that had just landed—enemies?
The sudden stress of the moment had Mallory’s mind escape her, completely disassociating from the present moment while desperately wishing she was back home at her desk job. She only came out of that headspace to realize she was on a spaceship, flying, in space with no idea where she was going and only a sentient robot for companionship.
“This thing will fly itself?” Mallory hesitantly asked Vasco, who turned to look at her with it’s lens eye.
“Yes, with Protocol Indigo, we are to head right to the headquarters of Constellation, The Lodge, within the city of New Atlantis.” Vasco informed her, in an analytical way one should expect from a robot. Despite how off-putting it was for Mallory to be having a conversation with a being such as Vasco, there was a sense of relief she found in finally getting answers to her questions. And in that sense of relief came the realization that Mallory could take advantage of Vasco’s analytical responses.
“New Atlantis? Is it underwater or something?” Mallory joked, not realizing that a robot would not recognize, nor appreciate, such a joke.
“You are mistaking that with the lost city of Atlantis on Earth, a planet within the Sol system and the origin planet of the human race.” Vasco responded in his normal cadence. “New Atlantis is the capital city of the United Colonies, on the planet of Jemison in the Alpha Centauri system.”
United Colonies. A planet called Jemison. A star system called Alpha Centauri...
None of this was within her realms of knowledge, and the more she ruminated on that thought instead of running from it, she found it impossible to remain ignorant of the most pressing fact in front of her.
“Vasco, what year is it?” Mallory asked as she closed her eyes, bracing herself to learn that she was no longer in her present time, but the future or somewhere completely different.
“It is the year 2330.” The robot replied, not realizing how heavy his simple answer was.
2330 . Mallory thought to herself in panic, her eyes pressing together, her eyebrows pinching under the pressure of her muscle tension. She was 300 years ahead of when she had been.
“Oh my god,” Mallory spoke aloud, no longer being able to keep her thoughts and panic within herself. She buried her head into her hands. “Oh my god, oh my god! How is this happening?” She exclaimed to herself, her arms shooting out in front of her. She twisted them, half expecting something marvellous or miraculous to happen but it was just her flesh and blood. Her eyes looked past herself to the only bed within the cabin, and on it lay a slender piece of metal that she did not recognize yet found familiar.
But it was not a good familiar. No…it was fear. Panic. Danger. Threatening.
Every alarm within her senses went off as Mallory tried to scramble away from the object.
“Send me back.” She demanded Vasco as she ran towards the robot, clinging to its metal frame and desperately staring into its lense. “I don’t belong here, I need to go back. Send me back!” She screamed as she felt a slight pinch in her side and the world quickly went black once again.
“It’s not right, Sarah.” Mallory heard a man’s voice as she dreamt. She was floating in an endless black sea, surrounded by small, flickering lights. It was peaceful, and the man’s voice only continued to soothe her soul. His voice echoed and reverberated around her as if encapsulating her in it’s essence. She breathed in the words, finding herself seeking the comfort of that voice.
“What else were we supposed to do Sam?” A woman’s voice now drifted past her, this one wasn’t as sweet and inviting as the man’s, but it still did not alarm her. It felt guiding, firm but still gentle; parental. “Vasco brought her here sedated, and informed us that she was begging him to ‘send her back’. When she came to, she claimed to be from Earth, Sam. An 'Earth' not like ours, but that of over 300 years ago.”
Vasco? That was something familiar, something tangible, that pulled her from the black sea that surrounded her. Memories came back to her at the name, and with the words that the woman spoke after.
Ripped from her dream with a flood of visuals—the cave, Hellar and Lin, that large planet in the sky, Vasco flying her on the ship, that metal object—Mallory awoke in a small room that appeared to be quickly rigged for the purpose of a jail cell.
“Jeeze…that’s tough.” Mallory heard the man mutter, the same man she had heard as she was dreaming. “But still, Sarah, you can’t honestly think that keeping her sedated will help with that? If we are meant to understand what is going on, we need to talk to her.”
“We already tried that Sam. We don’t know what we are dealing with here, we can’t be hasty.” Sarah’s tone came with a heavy warning, but she heard the man scoff immediately.
“We also can’t be inhuman!” Sam argued back with a calm sternness. “Go get Barrett back, I will handle this.” As quick as his words came, soft footsteps followed. Mallory forced herself to sit up, still feeling groggy from the apparent sedation but she wanted to be alert for whatever Sam intended with his approach.
However, from the small part that she had heard him speak, she wanted to be hopeful that he was going to be kind.
Shortly after she sat up and managed to compose herself as best as she could, Sam rounded the corner. He would best be described as a cowboy, without the southern drawl that she was so used to associating with his aesthetic. Mallory couldn’t help but smile, widely, at a sight that finally reminded her of something normal.
Her smile seemed to catch Sam off guard, as he halted in his steps and awkwardly smiled.
“Uh, hey.” He said to her, as a greeting, immediately bringing Mallory back to being hyper-vigilant. Her muscles tensed as her smile quickly faded. Sam stretched out his hands. “No, I mean you no harm, please. I’m Sam.” He softly introduced himself.
“I heard,” Mallory spoke coldly.
“Ah, so you heard all of that then?” He asked her, guilt vividly present in his expression. Both adults paused, the silence lingering as Mallory watched Sam with trepidation and Sam watched Mallory with concern and curiosity.
“Who are you people? Why are you sedating me?” Mallory demanded to know of him, bringing an immediate sigh from Sam.
“We’re a group called Constellation, set to seek out the unknown within the charted stars but I have a feeling that means nothing to you.” He informed her, his eyes softening as he continued to watch her with a small amount of pity.
“No,” Mallory muttered in defeat, finding her defences being unarmed by Sam’s gentle and honest approach.
“As for the sedation, hey,” he shot up his arms in a sign of surrender, “that wasn’t my call and not one I ever would have taken.” He paused a moment, watching Mallory before sighing again and adjusting his cowboy hat. “You have to be hungry, let me go, uh, find something that you can eat.” Sam turned around and started to walk away before giving a soft chuckle. “Definitely won’t be what you are used to.” He commented out loud, causing the corners of Mallory’s lips to twitch upward.
There was a calm silence that lingered after Sam left. Mallory felt a significant amount of panic leave her due to the kindness and compassion Sam was showing her. She felt herself blush and forcefully curl her lips as she judged herself for lingering on the thought of how handsome he had also been.
“Is it true?” An eager voice spoke to Mallory, causing her to look up and see a young girl eagerly watching her from the door Sam had only recently walked through. With Mallory’s glance, the girl excitedly walked forward. “Are you really from the past?”
If it wasn’t for the obvious wonder and spark of curiosity within the child’s gaze, Mallory would have felt like she was being gawked at like a zoo animal. Instead, she just cleared her throat and nodded.
“Woah! That is so cool!” The girl smiled brightly, immediately sticking her hand through the gate. “I’m Cora.” Mallory hesitated a moment before reaching out to grab Cora’s hand.
“Mallory.” Cora gripped Mallory’s hand with the same vigour and enthusiasm she exuded before releasing it.
“What a strange name,” Cora remarked, an absolutely bizarre oddity to focus on, at least Mallory thought so, causing the woman to snort as she stifled a laugh.
“My name is the strangest thing about me?” Mallory asked, causing Cora to laugh as well.
“Besides the obvious, yeah.” She corrected, causing Mallory to hum in amusement and agreement as she leaned back against the wall of her ‘cell’.
“So you believe me then?” She asked Cora, who was quick to answer.
“My dad always tells me that the galaxy is full of endless possibilities, so why couldn’t this also be one?” She asked, curiously.
“Your father seems wise,” Mallory remarked with a smile, finding it slightly odd how calming it was to talk to a child about her situation yet still greatly appreciating the feeling and acceptance. It was already an abnormal existence she found herself in, so ‘odd’ should be expected.
“I like to think so, myself.” Sam agreed with a restrained smugness as he returned with a plate and a few packages. “I also think I told you,” his gaze narrowed onto Cora, “to leave our guest alone for today. She’s been through enough.” Mallory saw Cora’s shoulders slump slightly, her excitement deflating.
“It’s okay.” Mallory found herself immediately defending the girl’s presence. Sam smiled as Cora returned to her previous enthusiasm.
“Alright then.” Sam nodded to Mallory, perhaps as a gesture of appreciation? She was unsure about that, however, what she was sure about was the fact that, for the first time since she found herself in this new time, she felt safe. “She can be a handful sometimes,” Sam remarked with a smirk as he set down the plate on a crate just outside of Mallory’s cell.
“I’m right here...” Cora grumbled, causing Sam to chuckle with amusement.
“You know it. I know it. Heck—the whole settled system knows it.” Sam said as he continued to tease his daughter, placing the packages next to the plate. “Don’t worry gumdrop, I still love you for it.” He added sweetly with a glance at his daughter.
“Daaaaaad.” Cora groaned as she physically cringed at her father.
“It’s my one for the day, okay? But, like I told you before and despite what this kind woman has said, I can’t have a kid interrogating her. We need some time alone, okay? Boring adult stuff, alright?”
“Fine.” Cora groaned before turning to Mallory, who had watched this conversation unfold with intrigue and amusement, with a smile. “It was really nice meeting you. If you want to lie to my dad about your name, I promise not to say anything. Our secret—they think your name is Lee.” Cora smiled at her dad before rushing out of the room.
“What—” Sam exclaimed as he turned towards where his daughter ran to.
“Hey, kid!” Mallory found herself yelling out, drawn and endeared by Cora’s curiosity, rebelliousness and immediate comradery. Cora popped her head into view. “Come interrogate me later, okay?” Cora smiled brighter than she had before.
“Okay!” She agreed with excitement before, what sounded like, running off and out of earshot.
“You may regret that,” Sam said with a smile as he approached Mallory’s cell. “But I appreciate it all the same, it can be hard for a kid to always be around a bunch of adults. Especially those who just see her as a kid.”
“She seems quite inquisitive,” Mallory replied, seemingly to Sam’s liking. “Besides, she is the only one who appears to believe me.”
“You don’t think I do?” Sam asked as he unlocked the chains that held her cell doors together and clumsily moved them aside, enough that Mallory could freely walk through them, but she didn’t move. Instead, she watched Sam with scrutiny, wanting to know if his kindness was just a façade to get her comfortable.
“Don’t blame me if I am uncertain of your intentions behind your belief. A kid never has any intentions beyond genuine curiosity and seeking understanding. Adults are different.”
“No blame at all. I understand being captured but not sent to another time, so…” Sam trailed off in thought and speech for a moment, his gaze sliding past Mallory’s before snapping back to her. “Look, how, uh, how can I help you trust me?” Sam paused a moment as he watched her with genuine concern. “If you want a history lesson, I’ll fall asleep before you do. Talk to Cora about that stuff, she has a ton of books about things you will want to know, I am sure.” He pursed his lips, his eyebrows twitching as he tried, very hard, to think of a way to gain Mallory’s trust. “What I can tell you, if it helps, is that we think these artifacts we found—the one you pulled out of the mine—have something to do with what happened to you.” He added with a small amount of enthusiasm.
“Artifact?” Mallory’s expression pinched at the word. “That metal thing?” Mallory hated that she still couldn’t recall that moment, only when she woke up in that strange room with Lin and Hellar.
“Yeah, exactly,” Sam confirmed, either ignoring or not realizing Mallory’s inner frustrations, before taking a step back and inviting her to sit on a stool next to the food he brought.
She still didn’t move, but her eyes darted to the plate to see four small, cube-shaped, objects.
“You eat cubes?” Mallory asked in absolute astonishment at the food choice in the future overriding her reservations about Sam’s intentions. He just gave a single, soft, laugh.
“I told you it wouldn’t be something you’re used to,” Sam remarked with a smirk. “Also, they’re called ‘Chunks’, not cubes. I figured it would be better over the alien jerky, at least.” Mallory immediately grimaced at the idea of eating alien jerky, causing an honest belly laugh from Sam.
“Yeah, chunks sound great now, thank you.” Sam smiled with a light exhale, sigh even—perhaps relieved?
“The packs are water, just so you know.” He pointed towards two silver packages. Mallory smiled, reminded briefly of a capri-sun, or something akin to it. Looking back at Sam to see his concern soften and his features relax, and having been taken out of her mistrusting mood, Mallory decided it was time to accept some of their hospitality.
“Thank you.” She gave a small smile along with her words of gratitude, before walking to the stool Sam had pointed to earlier.
“Back to the artifacts…” Sam began to speak as Mallory ate her first cube of food—thankfully it wasn’t as bad as it could have been. “It’s the second one we have found, Barrett—the guy that was with Vasco—found the first one. Sarah went to get him, and hopefully, he can help us make some sense of this. In the meantime…” Sam stretched out his hand and gestured towards the refreshments he brought. “I suggest you settle in as best as you can. I will speak with Noel about getting one of the spare rooms ready for you.”
Mallory nodded at the idea of getting a room instead of a cell, however, she did not like the idea of ‘settling in’. This wasn’t going to be a permanent thing, or even long-term! She wanted to go home as quickly as possible.
“I don’t wish to get comfortable here,” Mallory advised, feeling her steel walls build themselves up, once again. Sam let out a small sigh as he shifted his torso forward, holding himself up by resting his hands on his knees.
“I’m not sure who you assume I am, or my intentions, so I will kindly remind you that you don’t know me.” Sam softly advised with a small smirk. He said it, not as a threat, but as a reminder that she shouldn’t assume his plans. Perhaps he was right, Sam himself hadn’t shown her any intention of harm, however she couldn’t say the same for the rest of his group. Sam, alone, was not a reason to drop her guard.
“You don’t know me either.” Mallory retorted while looking back at her cubed food, feeling stubborn in not wanting to admit defeat at this moment. Despite her wish to remain in solitude from the world she found herself in, she was not dumb or over-confident enough to think she would be better off on her own, or on that moon she woke up from. God, I probably would have ended up dead if I wasn’t taken away by Vasco, Mallory thought to herself with a small amount of horror.
“At least I’m trying.” Sam quipped, pulling her from her despairing thoughts, his tone carrying an underlying message of ‘gotcha’. Mallory, immediately returning to steeled self, grumbled at Sam’s words and proceeded to stuff another mysterious cube into her mouth—chomping furiously as she glowered towards the space cowboy in front of her. “Was it a thing in your time to eat so aggressively?” He asked with a slight husk in his tone, his stupid—inviting—smile spreading across his face as the already familiar glint in his eye returned. “Can’t say I hate it.” He added slyly.
Mallory swallowed, more out of fear she would choke if he continued with his stupid comments.
“Three answers.” She announced, wishing to draw her attention away from wanting to focus on Sam in detail. “That’s all I will give you from this bizarre interrogation.” She added, wishing to divert more attention away from that foreign feeling. Sam smiled and leaned back, comfortable and relaxed, as he basked in the glory of his persuasion.
“Not an interrogation, but I will take that deal.” He flashed his intoxicating smirk. “You enjoying the ‘food cubes’?” He immediately asked, playfully mocking her for how she originally referred to the Chunks. However, Mallory still cocked an eyebrow at the question, tilting her head to the side as she stared, perplexed, at Sam.
“Are you really going to use one of your answers on that?” She asked, stunned.
“No,” Sam gave a quick laugh followed by a satisfied sigh, “but you answered with a question, which isn’t an answer, so therefore it doesn’t count.” He crossed his arms as he fully rested his body on the wall behind him; smug and smitten with himself. “Just testing the rules…you know.” Mallory let out a shocked, sharp and single laugh before shaking her head in silence. She couldn’t believe this man.
What a bizarre future she found herself in.
“I think you’re worse than your daughter,” Mallory stated as she continued to shake her head at him, until she smiled, feeling a small victory right around the corner. “That’s an answer for you.” She added, revealing her own mischievous smirk.
“Hey, woah—that doesn’t count.” Sam protested, immediately defensive and having lost all of his previous bravado. “No way.” He slowly added, almost pouting at her.
“My deal, my rules,” Mallory confirmed with a shrug. “Sorry, Cowboy.” She continued, unable to stop herself from continuing the teasing banter. The nickname seemed to perk him back up.
“Cowboy, huh?” He lightly commented. “Don’t think I’ve ever seen a horse in real life.” He spoke slowly as if running through a catalogue in his mind of all his core memories.
“Not all cowboys ride horses,” Mallory replied, causing Sam to smile and a comfortable silence to fill the room. They both just looked at each other, their gazes locked, until Mallory felt a rush of heat to her face and chest, and turned to eat another ‘food cube’.
“Answers,” Sam said, Mallory half expecting it was for himself, rather than her. “So, speaking of my daughter…what’s your real name?” She swallowed her food, pausing a moment to look at Sam once again, perplexed at how easily he could redirect his attention and thoughts. Her’s were still on the sensation that had her look away, and now on the slight twitch in his smile. “Not going to tell me, huh?”
“Mallory.” She said, finding herself snapping back to the present moment. “No idea how you got Lee from that, but…there you are.” Mallory cleared her throat as she reached for one of the water packs.
“Huh…yeah.” Sam paused a moment, almost like a sound or thought pulled him off track. Mallory immediately noticed the loss of composure from him, until he seemed to snap back to the present. “Let me help you with that.” He offered, reaching out for the package but Mallory moved it away and out of his reach.
“I’m a capable woman, even if I am not from here.” She remarked, feeling a bit of her pride battered at how reliant she was on others. That had never been the case for her, ever. She understood she had to for survival, but it didn’t make it any easier to accept. Sam just raised his hands in another sign of surrender and leaned back against the wall.
“Well, Mallory,” he stressed her name with a soft, inviting, sweetness, “last question. If I offered for you to join Constellation…our giant dysfunctional family, would you? At least until we can get you home, but that way…you, uh…have a home before that. I think it would help you if nothing else. And we can keep your secret safe.” Something shifted in Sam’s expression at the mention of her secret, her ‘situation’. His face became sunken and tense. “I don’t want to think what the wrong people would do if they found out about you.” He added, sounded extremely serious for the first time she had met him, and something that didn’t seem to match the character he had shown her so far.
Mallory paused, pulling her attention away from her worry about him and instead to his proposition. It did make sense to stay with them. If these ‘Artifacts’ really are what brought her here, or are connected to the thing that did, then their goals could be aligned. But, still, Mallory barely trusted Sam at this point—how was he to expect her to trust the rest?
“You…want me to join the group of people who have held me hostage and kept me sedated?” Mallory asked him in a flat tone, wanting to know why, exactly, he wanted her to join.
“Have any better idea on where to be?” He asked her with that damn smug smile of his. When Mallory hesitated to respond, he stuck out his hand. “Welcome to the crew.”
She hesitated a moment before accepting his hand and deal. He was right—where else was she going to go? What better option did she have?
Besides, she worked for one of the most well-known companies for space exploration, how different could this be?
Very.
hello i wanted to say this earlier when you were talking about the wiritng of duffer brothers and specifically how they will likely be bringing back the love triangle again and i just wanted to add how it feels like a step back for all three of them! i felt like nancy breaking up with steve was important for both of them, for steve to realise that he needs to do some serious introspection and let go of the life that he knows is fake, and for nancy it feels doubly important to not attempt to stick with something just because it was there in the past, and instead allow herself to move on from a stage she feels complete with and move onto what she really wants (johnathan), even if it's unconventional! and then for johnathan it felt like the more classic, someone is choosing me when i am not usually chosen moment. i honestly, truly, wouldn't even be that mad if they break jancy up, just because, y'know they're like 19-20, and it's okay for nancy to decide she wants to explore things outside of hawkins and it's pretty normal for most people, and would strengthen that "moving on" theme they were able to capture in s2, but if she goes back to steve.............hmmmm. feels unfair thematically for steve to go back to a person he dated during a specific period of his life he wants to get away from, feels unsatisfying for nancy wheeler to be delegated to Love Interest TM (as u mentioned) AGAIN, and feels bad for johnathan because omg why??!!?!? would u do that to a character whose already lost a lot of the importance and relevance that he used to have???? remember when he used to be the main character (not to mention they literally cut out his new friend argyle for the hell of it). idk i feel like after s2 they just stopped caring about a lot of these core characters and there are so many moments i could point to and be like hey guys nice regressing you did there.
my apologies, this is getting really wrong, but you mentioned that you like themes and i LOVE your themes it's very cathartic. i am excited for s3 to see character themes continue because i understand ur working with the show itself here but it immediately upset me when they made, like, russian soldiers, the main villain of the season. i felt like we had developed two very good seasons exploring the US's ability to use its citizen's bodies, especially women and girls' bodies, in its war for imperial power, and were doing some good digging at the crux of the cold war, with the upside down and its monsters making up great metaphors for the war crimes and unnatural horrors it's willing to unleash onto people as long as the government and military benefits, with brenner and the scientists and the labs all representing this part of the government. and then we get "russian communists are bad".......right......and i'm sure you believe that....... i understand that they needed like a new villain, but i think it would have been better for them to continue that thematic critique they had established already. like, the base being in the lab is perfect! wow! what an immediate link to capitalism and consumerism in reaganamics and the ways it is designed to hypnotise you to spend your money and feed the economy that thrives on unethical practices and can only exist if it has a population hooked into the addiction of product consumption that in turn provides the economics to increase the empire. DO SOMETHING WITH THAT, GODDAMIT. The mindflayer even mind controls people which fits so well into this theme but they insisted on having the russians be the human villains of the show and it blew it so bad for me :(. i don't know exactly what they should have done, but i think maybe even having a portal open to the upside down because of all the artificial-ness of the mall mixed with the constant ads trying to convince (ie control) people to bye stuff mixing with hawkins freakiness would have been more fulfilling for me. obviously i know you won't be doing anything like that but i'm excited to get some relief through character relationships from this huge problem i have with the duffer brothers.
yeaaaaah u can def tell the show was going a bit haywire once season 3 released BUT the seasons vibes were immaculate u cannot argue with that. however yeah its wack how they brought up some cool villains and powers and then just. dropped it. do we know what happened to all those flayed people ???
as for jonathans character just becoming less and less important as the seasons go on ,,,, i grieve that every day. he deserves so much better in that aspect. and nancy !!! and steve !!!! like the love triangle pisses me OFF !!!!
as for ur russian rant imma be real i followed a bit of it but my brain is so sleepy and im not a history buff but ur SO real and valid for all that. i think the russians were fun but apparently everyone hates them ??? wild. i also have poor media literacy but thats not important rn
