How are you both transmasc and demigirl /genq? I thought transmasc meant you were transitioning to a more masculine gender
Hello my dear,
Transmasculine simply means that you identify with a masculine gender identity. I think the confusion arises when people conflate transmasc with trans men.
It's kind of like a squares and rectangles situation. Trans men are transmasculine but not every transmasc is a man.
To answer your question,
I am both a demigirl And transmasc, which makes me bigender (which is under the multigender umbrella).
I hope this was helpful 💗

Demigirl Woman Pride Flag
Tumblr media
Demigirl Woman: a demigirl experiencing/reclaiming womanhood (or nonbinary womanhood); a woman who is partially a girl or feel partly connected to female gender; considering yourself both demigirl and woman, either separately or as if both fit you, for any reason. It could also be a multigender or gendervast experience, or in a cronant- or consonant-aligned way (i.e. woman-aligned demiwoman; duskian demifemale).

The cat stack is getting wobbly, but these Demigirl, kitties sure are holding their own.
-----------
Just like these determined felines, we all encounter wobbly times in life. It might be a tough day at work, a challenging personal situation, or even just a feeling of uncertainty about the future. But it's in those moments that we discover our inner strength.
-----------
How do you find the courage to keep going when things get shaky? What do you do?

Demifemale/male + Nonfemale/male!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Demifemale is a term for someone who identifies loosely with a female identity, though not completely, and feels they do not fit in the sex binary.
Demimale is a term for someone who identifies loosely with a male identity, though not completely, and feels they do not fit in the sex binary.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nonfemale is a term for someone who is AFAB and does not identify as female, but feels no strong connection to any other sex identity.
Nonmale is a term for someone who is AMAB and does not identify as male, but feels no strong connection to any other sex identity.
Reminder that female doesn't necessarily mean woman and male doesn't necessarily mean man
In this case, female and male is referring to sex and not gender

Hi! I am afab, and I’ve always hated saying, typing or being called the word ‘girl’ but I am comfortable with she/her pronouns and the word female or other forms of it. I don’t think the hatred for the word is just because of the stereotypes that can often come with it, and I’ve done a little bit of research and believe that I am a demifemale. Any advice on how I can present in a way that may avoid this, or just on what is happening? Gender is hard. :(
It’s possible you could be a demifemale. I’m sorry to say I don’t know what you mean by “present in a way that avoids this” but by all means send in another ask and I can help you.

5 stripe version of demimasc/boy/man/male, demifem/girl/woman/female, and deminonbinary/enby/enban. 2 versions of each, the second one has slightly darker grey stripes.
I thought I'd make some simplified versions of these demigender flags :). As far as I'm aware, the original demigender flags have no stripe meanings, though the two grey stripes are thought to be for partial connection. I don't think combining them into one grey stripe takes away from the meaning of it too much.
I also edited the yellow is be more muted/slightly darker.
People don't have to use this if they don't want to, I just thought simplified versions would be nice.

Every time someone tells me that "women's day" is somehow "my day" I feel less female.
And of course they mainly say so because I'm not out regarding my gender (and don't particularly want to have a big discussion about it), but it still hurts.

Demifemininity
So, I was gonna do this during pride month but hey I forgot because of who I am as a person. But back in June I changed my avatar to more clearly present my gender and sexual identity. And because not all of these terms are well known and because my thoughts about them may differ slightly from the actual definitions, I wanted to talk about them. If this isn't interesting to you, I apologize, but I've never really tried to put these ideas into words before and thought maybe some people would get something out of it! I will separate these into three different posts, so if one of these concepts interests someone, they can reblog it without having  to include things that may not fit them or that they might disagree with. And I apologize if I get any definitions wrong or say something that's not entirely accurate. If I do, PLEASE correct me, I always want to learn and know when I'm misinformed. Plus, as an autistic individual, I may struggle with conveying some concepts in a way that's 100% accurate or easy to understand.   Demigirl Definition: someone who partially identifies as a woman, girl, or otherwise feminine, regardless of their assigned gender at birth. A critical feature is that a demigirl may or may not identify as another gender in addition to relating to the gender roles or norms of being a girl or woman Source What this means to me: For a while I have felt comfortable using both she/her and they/them pronouns but struggled to find a gender identity that fit how I feel. After much thought, I feel the term demigirl most fits how I feel regarding my gender. I have an affinity for femininity but being a woman/girl is not central to my identity. I was born a female, I do present in a fairly feminine way most of the time, and I do enjoy some things that are considered “girly”. But I don’t feel wholly female if that makes sense. I like long hair because it’s an easy stim and playing with it keeps my hands busy. But I prefer male/unisex clothing because it’s more comfortable. I don’t experience dysphoria, but I do have times where I find some of my feminine attributes inconvenient and wish I could temporarily remove them (long hair gets hot in the summer, large chests are burdensome when exercising, etc.) Some definitions I’ve seen describe demigirl as a static or non-changing gender identity, but I personally experience some degree of flux/fluidity. Sometimes I feel less feminine and more agender. But other times I will feel more connected to a female identity. I never feel any connection with masculinity or manhood but a lot of times I just feel “non-girl”.

IMMA COIN MY FIRST GENDER!!
This is actually MY gender so… yeah! I haven’t seen any label like this existing yet so I think it might click with some other people as well so I had to make it!
(Edit: ok i did find someone else has coined this before but I think mine is a little more specific so I made a couple edits.)
Quarterbigender (Aka Demibigender)
Tumblr media
A gender that feels quarterboy and quartergirl at the same time.
Can also fluctuate between difference spaces on this spectrum but it doesn’t have to! (Could be called quarterbigender-flux)
This effectively makes you 1/8th male, 1/8th female and 6/8ths nonbinary/agender/neutrois.
Please reblog this if you like/identify with it! Also please credit me for the flag design :)
