I want my children to grow up running barefoot through the woods, playing in mud and grass. I want them to taste wild berries and organic vegetables long before the taste of chocolate. They won’t know what an ipad is; and they will be happy.

Also hate how parents wanting to keep their kids away from microplastics and the god awful crazy over processed foods and ipads are labelled as “crunchy” now as a way to shame them.
Capitalism has normalized junk foods, algorithms and constantly Being “Productive” so much than people wanting to steer future generations from the addictive brain rot we’ve been given is something shameful.
The way everyday people do capitalism's job for it is terrifying.

My introduction to my blog
I'm a stay at home mom of 1 beautiful son and just trying to do my best at begin a housewife and a good mother
I have very traditional values and I know that offends alot of people but it works the best for our family as we rather not send our kids to daycare probably spending as much as I would make working would be paying for it anyway, and we don't know what they would be teaching our kids, we don't want screen time and alot of other things that are so normalized now adays. I'm taking the time to learn alot about homeschooling and how we want to raise our children, putting in alot of work so my family can have the life we want.
I don't have a maid, housecleaner, nanny or cook I do the majority with some help from my partner and very proud majority of time I make everything from scratch and love baking.
I'm also learning Chinese (or trying too) as my partners family only speak Chinese and for my child's sake I want to be able to embrace his culture for him and be able to talk with my partners family alot more.
I'm a bit confused with my religion but I do believe there is a God and try to live my life as virtuous as I can and just begin the best version of myself, this blog gives me motivation and hopefully find likeminded people.
I try to embrace my femininity as much as I can wearing cute dresses and skirts everyday, dancing and just begin grateful for everything God has blessed me with. I do struggle with some mental health issues and postpartum depression hit me very hard and just am getting out of it at 5 months postpartum but I'm working on myself and my mental health.
Thank you for reading and have a blessed day💖

Foraged Dandelion & Violet Jelly
Ophelia and I made this a couple weeks ago so I thought I would share my recipe. This was such a fun thing to do for me as an adult and she loved it. If you do have children this is such an enriching activity for them and a great way to teach them about the world around them.
Did you know that dandelion jelly, jams, and syrups were called “the poor peoples honey” here in Appalachia (and other places) around the Great Depression? My mom said my great grandmother looked forward to making this every year because of that! And it sure does taste like honey!
So my recipe is as follows:
Like two cups of the yellow parts of the dandelions and a handful give or take of violets.
If you leave any green on the dandelions, your jelly may come out bitter
Roughly 2 cups of water, ideally you want a cup of water per every cup of flowers.
Boil the flowers for 3-5 minutes, the longer the better honestly but you don’t want to scald them.
Sift the boiled mixture through a strainer or cheese cloth (if you had a child helper like me you may want to do this several times) be sure to squeeze any moisture out of the flowers as the dandelions will hold moisture and you’ll loose a lot of the your water if you don’t. Keep the liquid and toss the flowers.
Put back onto heat
Add 2 generous drops of vanilla extract
1 table spoon of lemon juice (you can do freeze squeeze or bottled it’ll get the same result either way)
When you add the lemon juice watch the color change! Note: all dandelion jelly will be more yellow in color , the handful of violets make a pretty pinky orange.
3 tablespoons of pectin (I used surejel brand)
Note: you could skip this step and leave out the pectin and achieve or more syrup texture to fit your needs.
1 1/2 - 2 cups sugar
I actually did closer to 2 1/4th cups myself, I prefer my things on the sweeter side so do what makes your heart happy.
While adding each ingredient in be sure to stir frequently, bring your mixture back up to a boil and let it boil for another 3-5 minutes.
Remove from heat and pour into jars. Note: how you will jar this will depend on what kind of jar you are using I.e canning jar or just a regular jam/jelly jar.
Let cool on your counter to thicken and then enjoy.
Once cooled these should be refrigerated.
This recipe should yield 4, 4oz jars approximately. However you could cut the recipe depending on however many flowers you are able to find.
You can use this recipe with only dandelions, violets or most edible flowers and berries.
PLEASE forage responsibly and leave plenty for the bees in your area, dandelions are first good source for bees. Also be wary of any area that may be treated with pesticides.

how i want to raise my future kids (if i choose to have any)
i want to teach them the importance of showing kindness to others and to not judge anyone.
i want them to be raised surrounded by nature. i want them to feel a real connection to mother earth.
i’m not going to force/persuade them into any religion, that is completely up to them to choose their own beliefs
i want them to grow up homeschooled as i don’t agree with many things in the public school system. of course as they grow older, if they want to go to public school, they can.
this is all just hypothetical!! i’m not sure if i want kids in the future, i’ll probably just adopt cats lol

I want you to stay little, and I want to watch you grow.
And I want to remember your song, drifting down the hallway,
even the one at night.
Accompanied by the pitter patter of feet before I lift you into our bed.
And when I need a moment,
I’ll still keep you near, before this moment disappears.
So stay little, will you?
But please grow, and grow.
So one day, as you tower above me, I may rest my head on your chest instead.
I wonder what that will be like.
How that could even be possible when right now we play ice cream trucks, and your bottom lip still drops.
Will I remember the days I stood up even when I fell short?
Will I remember how hard and beautiful they were?
Can you stay little a bit longer?
But I love watching you grow.
Yes you can help me with the washing,
it’s OK you dropped it, let’s dust it off.
Yes you are a great helper, more than you’ll ever know.
I’ll read that book again, and again.
I’ll watch the expressions you make before you’re able to choose them.
I’ve never smiled in the morning so much until we met.
And you can walk with me before our path splits in two.
You can hold my hand before you let it go.
I’ll always remember you this little.
But I can’t wait to watch you grow.
……………………..
