stop ignoring yourself. fix your posture, get a fresh haircut, drink water, take care of your skin, eat food that gives you energy, declutter your space, take time to rest, workout, do mindful meditation, fix your sleep schedule. when you feel/look good, you do good. invest in yourself, put the effort you deserve.

Being a young adult is so strange. You enter a coffee shop. The 20 year old girl waiting behind you cried all night because she just came to a new city for university and she feels so alone. That 27 year old guy over there works a job he is overqualified for, he lives with his parents and wants to move out but doesn’t know what to do about it. That one 24 year old dude already has a car, a house, and a job waiting for him once he graduates thanks to his dad’s connections. The 26 year old barista couldn’t complete his higher education because he has to work and take care of his family. The 28 year old girl sitting next to you has no friends to go out with so she is texting her mother. That couple (both 25 years old) are married and the girl is pregnant. Tell her how big she is

Comment on how much she’s grown

Make jokes about painful labor

Say “whoa!” when she enters the room

Save yourself time and energy by simply not doing any of that :) I promise you she’s aware :)

My parents have been visiting for the last week and it's been so nice. We live 12 hours from friends and family so we don't see anyone often. They've been helping with cooking and holding Little Man while I get some things done and I'm definitely going to miss the help lol. My husband still has 3 or 4 weeks before he goes back to work, but it's nice having even more help.

Little Man is their second grandchild, first grandson. My sister in law had their little girl about a week before Little Man was born so my parents have just been riding the grandbaby high for a few weeks 😂. I'm going to miss them, but we're going home to visit in July for the holiday.
