This is my mood board for my latest writing project, MAGI. I was just fooling around and making stuff for the camp nano boards, but I liked it so much I thought I'd share it here.

A queen’s bodyguard falls in love with a handsome royal attendant, and must protect them both from an attack by creatures who aren’t supposed to exist.
Nathan takes great pride in being bodyguard to Queen Suzanne. But his training didn't prepare him for falling in love with a man he can't have, or facing an enemy everyone thought was a myth. It seems ridiculous: men with wings, killing for their magic. But someone is targeting the royal family, and it's up to Nathan to figure out who and why. He finds his ally in Eric, the queen's personal attendant, and subject of all Nathan's heartbroken pining. There is no way for a bodyguard to have a romance with a servant, even if Eric returned Nathan's feelings, which seems unlikely. But as things get stranger and stranger, Nathan must decide where his true loyalties lie, and what it will cost to protect the people he loves.

Message + Meaning
#MakingMeaning
Visual Metaphors
Reviewing the Timeline + Resources
MEssage + Meaning
campaigns are always talking about their messages
A campaign message or a slogan is somethinf that rolls off the tongue, activating current + potential supporters.
It’s the core of a design strategy or concept, the drive to action- it’s how you articulate your cause + how actions are ultimately linked to impact
For a successful campaign a slogan is neccesary
The catchy little cluster of words is the foundation upon which your communication + design system is built
Writing for a communication design context, (with a campaign as a design outcome + to be used within a typographic system), is a specific vernacular _ colloquial language - a language of cues, puns + clutural references
A visual language is a system of commmunication using visual + design elements ( + assets)
Speech as a means of communication cannot strictly be separated from the whole of human communciatign activity which includes the visual + the term language in relation to vision is an extension of its use to describe the perception, comprehension + production of visible signes.
Slogans + Taglines
But it isnt a stand alone asset, or single line of copywriting, every instagram design, poster or flyer needs to be aligned with a common phrase
The message is as important as the visual design assets
Its your approach to communicating your message that creates the foundation for the overall aesthetics + visual languages
If you feel stuck knowing how or what to design, its often because you havent defined a communication strargey to activate your message + its meaning
What makes an effective message
An effective message captures the attention of the target audience, is easy to understand + does not require any further explanation
Your message defines your core topics + drives persuasipn while a slogan or tagline can neatly encapsulate it in a more memorable way
Single-minded proposition, or sometimes the USP (unique selling point / unique selling proposition, The SMP aka the single-minded proposition, aka the awareness campaign message is, without a doubt the most important collection of words on any creative or design brief
The SMP is the single clear message that you are wanting to communicate. The SMP says “X marks the spot” Its not telling you whaat the teasure is below, but it does tell you where to dig, without it youre scrambling around in the dark hoping to stumble across a good idea
A great SMP will be memorable and will be an ide so strong that i can move the audience in your direction
There is no room for weak, vanilla, homongenous ideas. This must be a flagpole firmly planted in thr ground
A great SMP will be catchy, like a headline. Many creatives use the SMP as the benchmark for the concept. A good SMP as the benchmark for the concept. A good SMP will capture the service, product and/or message that you are trying to communicate. An SMP will unpack the problem or issue-quickly. It will present the benefits and the point of difference

Are you ever going to write for Chanyeol again?
hi anon. thank you for messaging me. i normally dont respond to asks like this but idk ive had a lot of questions like this in my box - so please know that this is not @ you. im sure youre asking this because my last three fics have been a jongin, a minseok, and now a baekhyun. but please see the last time i posted something for chanyeol.
Tumblr media
this was about two weeks before i left for a long vacation, and ive been settling back into work and getting into the swing of things since i live a pretty busy life. now, also look at my schedule
Tumblr media
three of the 5 things i plan to write are for chanyeol. so really, im saying yes. i always want to be writing for him. but when i get asks like this it hurts something totally different than one might expect: my sense of value in this commmunity.
i adore writing for my ult - we all know i have an undying love for chanyeol. nothing will ever change that. and we all know i love posting about him and making people swoon over him through my fics. but asks like this make me feel like im only valued in this community for writing one member - like the things i produce for other members arent good enough or like my creativity must be boxed into one space. please know this isnt me trying to scold you - ive deleted a lot of asks the past few weeks asking if ill ever write for x person. its also partly the reason i removed drabble masterlists so everyone could see how much ive written for a variety of people. thats neither here nor there, mostly i just want to say that when you say things like this to writers, we really question our value even if you dont mean it that way.
thank you so so much for enjoying my writing, and for enjoying the things i write for the man i ult. and even though i enjoy writing for other people, i will never stay away from chanyeol for long. but the point is really just that - i love writing for other people. it makes writing chanyeol that much more wonderful.

How to write great blogs: Choosing right subject
Traditional content marketing and SEO approaches are nearly dead. Reaching out to your customers or your viewers is getting harder everyday, if you still obey the old rules of content marketing. Because of this as most of you know, explaining who you are without being boring is essential. What i mean by boring is being like everyone.
People are getting bombarded with tons of marketing messages and at the end of the day, they only remember the ones that somehow leave an impact on them. Poking people with useless content is easy when you have the budget, but when you want to create bonds with your audience or write a timeless article, you need to be creative in your own way.
Creating engaging, readable, enjoyable content is crucial for everyone and every brand. Not just companies, for you: Even if you are a blogger or working in communications or marketing departments and even for your social media accounts. I created content for various different media including national magazines, newspapers and corporate companies. With these series of articles, I will try to share some simple tricks that you can apply to your own content. I will show you key points for creating great content, including but not limited to writing great titles, subtitles, choosing the right images, where to call for action and how to be different from the pack.
Tumblr media
You will learn how to write great content; it is not rocket science.
How to choose subject for your blog
There is an old saying: “Well begun is half done”. I really believe in that for writing content. Choosing your subject and writing a title is half of the work for successful content. But the most important part is choosing the right subject.
You may be interested in writing a content for agriculture for example, but if your audience is not, there is no value that you can provide them by writing about agriculture. You need to give your audience what they want. Even if you plan to write on a different subject than normal, connect that topic to the one they are interested. If you have a tech savvy commmunity and want to write about agriculture, write about agriculture technologies for example. Connect the topics, catch their attention, then write whatever you want.
This formula however, does not always work. For example, if you are running a blog about food, there is no logical way to include content about gaming monitors. So, pick your topic wisely. There are various ways to do that if you are unsure about what you will write.
You can use services like buzzsumo.com about popular, trending topics about your subject. You can see what people are sharing on social media and what does influencers write about your subject. For more specific content selection and info about what people search on Google, you can use Google Trends, too.
I usually write about technology for various magazines and websites and if Google Trends tell me that interest in wearable technology increased 200% recently, i should write about this topic. If i don’t have any specifics in mind, I can make a search on services such as buzzsumo to get ideas.
Choose your subject wisely and don’t lose your focus on a few chosen topics. If you write consistently on a single topic that you like writing and also your audience like, it will be easy to get results according to your objectives.
