Station 19 has caused a Codywan issue...
So like, Codywan with Cody as a firefighter, right? And Obi-Wan as an EMT. But like, I've got this adorable fluffy idea (that I hope stays that way but listen...) and I really want firefighter Cody covered in soot and trying to argue with Obi-Wan that the six kittens and mama cat he found 100% need oxygen and he's a damn EMT so will he just stop laughing and do it (he tried his mask but they kept wriggling).
BUT SOOT COVERED CODY AND KITTENS
LITTLE BABY KITTENS HE NAMES AFTER SOMETHING NERDY LIKE DND CREATURE TYPES.
He just calls mama mama though.
But like Dragon and Mimic and Sprite and Devil and Goblin and host.
Devil is the one who is determined to get past every barrier Cody creates to keep them in their little nest area with mama.
Ghost is pure white.
Goblin is a little funny looking.
Dragon likes to scream and Mimic always starts screaming after her.
Sprite is the runt.
Obi-Wan is the hot EMT who drops his clothes the second he sees Cody shirtless and bent over tiny little kittens trying to weigh them on a kitchen scale. (He sets them on and then struggles to keep them on long enough to get a reading)
I also really want mama to be dying to be a street cat and Cody has to hold one of her babies outside to cry when she escapes out the door (because Devil learned how to slip out from her )
So she hears the baby and comes back and he always scolds her.
And he's not allowed to have cats in his apartment so he teaches them to curl up in his warmer underneath the stove where they stay quiet and warm when his landlord stops by.
He keeps a blanket there.
"Mama you are not made for the streets. You are a parent now you can't be acting like this. Get your calico ass inside."

i think the thing about codywan that’s really fun is the fact that they are both undeniable bastards.
like, don’t get me wrong, they’re kind. they’re so kind and gentle and caring it hurts sometimes. they will put anyone else before themselves. they will always check a dead body for a pulse. they are some of the best people in the entire galaxy.
but holy fuck are they sarcastic and snarky and smart asses.
they’re all snide remarks in the middle of a battle. they keep up with each other perfectly including in humor no matter the circumstances and i love it about them.
their bickering is easy and lacks any real heat at all. it’s just fun for them. they love their little jokes, their little games.
Cody doesn’t talk overmuch, not like Obi-Wan does, but what he does say is either extremely meaningful or really funny. he delivers his jokes bone dry and it balances out Obi-Wan’s sarcasm in a way nobody else in the galaxy manages to do.

Always me 5 minutes later, after reading an absolute masterpiece of a fic, sobbing and ugly-crying: I knew it was going to make me cry and feel things, I knew it!
My brain, also somehow crying and passing me a tissue: it was worth it tho.

As a CodyWan shipper who is running purely off the best fanfics I’ve read, there is a slippery slope that I have outlined in the stages I took shipping it.
STAGE 1- saw fanart, learnt the ship existed and first reaction was “why do people ship this? It’s weird and there is nothing”
STAGE 2- start reading AO3 fanfic and notice that CodyWan is the most written ship in clone wars. I decide to check it out, maybe there is something that will explain why people ship this!
STAGE 3- okay, so, this ship has some great fics actually, I’ll read a few more, for research purposes.
STAGE 4- I have now read 18 hours of CodyWan fan fiction in a busy week where I don’t have much time to read fan fiction. I think I have a problem.
STAGE 5- *sees CodyWan sad artwork or edit. cries.*
STAGE 6- CodyWan brain rot. It’s not even funny anymore. Has multiple CodyWan WIPs on iPad, and has saved too much fan art saved in camera roll. Obsession.
If it isn’t clear by now, I LOVE THIS SHIP.

1.) How many works do you have on ao3?
16 (i used to have >30 but i orphaned half of them bc i wrote them when i was 14 and nobody needs to see that)
2.) What’s your ao3 word count?

3.) What fandoms do you write for?
star wars all day babey. i dabbled in steve x bucky from 2017-2018 ish, but star wars has had my brain in a vice grip since 2015 (i was another victim to the sequels causing a sw renaissance).
4.) What are your top five fics by kudos?
the right feeling - from my finnpoe days :') this is part 1 of a soulmate au series. this one has 4.7k words.
i think i was blind before i met you - steve x bucky (damn we're going way back, this is 7 years old) modern au with barista steve and college student disaster bucky. 15k words.
please stay for awhile now - finnpoe, again for the win. this is part 2 of the soulmate au series. 5.6k words.
we should just kiss like real people do - finnpoe. this is the fourth and final part of the soulmate au series. hurt/comfort, recovery, all the good stuff. 8.2k words. (i suppose we all needed the soulmate finnpoe fluff in 2016, judging by these stats).
but through it all, i will need you anyways - current codywan WIP!! fix-it fic with just an insane amount of disgustingly tooth-rotting fluff. no clone death, just good feelings. this has been ENTIRELY self-indulgent and i started it when i got initial codywan brain rot. 64k words and counting!
5.) Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
oh my god yes, i love comments and it puts the biggest smile on my face knowing that people took time out of their day to write something nice for my little ramblings :')
6.) What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
jesus, literally none of them. i have to do happy endings, i'm too fragile. closest would be i hate you, fuck you, please never stop looking at me which is wolfwren PWP, except they still kinda hate each other at the end. (this barely counts because i am writing a follow-up that explores more of their feelings for each other and has a happy ending)
7.) What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
ALL OF THEM. idk what to tell you. probably the cheesiest ending is the dinluke modern soulmate au i just wrote - how did i ever live without you?
8.) Do you get hate on fics?
no, thank god. i keep things pretty vanilla and i tag very thoroughly to do my best to avoid any hurt feelings. (also i've just simply been lucky to never experience that)
9.) Do you write smut? If so what kind?
oh fuck yeah. 2/3 of my fics are explicit. mostly m/m, one f/f and two m/m/m. we have fun over here.
10.) Do you write cross overs? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
no, this would break my brain. next question.
11.) Have you ever had a fic stolen?
no, unless it has been and they're very good about hiding it (doubt it, tho. i'd be a weird choice to steal from)

no, but i would love it!

this is so hard. . i think codywan has been the one ship that has just slapped my across the face and gave me stockholm syndrome. I think about them.... All the Time. second closest would be finnpoe, judging on how many stories i wrote about them. and they just fit so well together and i adore their characters and they had so much chemistry and. (i'll stop now)
15.) What’s a WIP you’d like to finish, but doubt you ever will?
my brain will simply not allow me to leave a WIP uncompleted. by god, it's going to happen even if i am chaining myself to my laptop and typing through tears.
16.) What are your writing strengths?
i have received many compliments about my dialogue and smut scenes flowing very naturally :) i try to make them play like a movie and have it immersive enough that a character doesn't do/say something unnatural to make the reader stop and say wait what?
16.) What are your writing weaknesses?
oh god, PLOT and ANGST. can't do it for the life of me. i work best in oneshots so i can brain vomit and move on. i have a hard time planning out fics and i deeply envy writers that can create beautiful long fics in a timely fashion. i deeply lack the patience for something like that.
as for angst, yes i can technically do it, but it pains every cell in my body. just let the sad old gay men be happy.
17.) Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
closest i have ever gotten is mando'a, but it's been very fun to learn!
18.) First fandom you wrote for?
oh boy. one direction (the aforementioned orphaned works).
19.) Favourite fic you’ve ever written?
i am cursed with "i immediately hate everything i write as soon as i release it" syndrome. recently, though, i was particularly proud of safe. warm. mine. because it was very outside of my comfort zone due to the involvement of three people and it was the first a/b/o i have written!

Thank you so much for sending this ask, I've always wanted to do one of these!!
8. What projects are you currently working on?
Long fics! (mostly) Which ultimately means I’m doing a lot of writing and not a lot of posting. I’ve never posted long fics before and I’m discovering that—because I’m trying to aim for certain places in a story—I need to have a strong foundation in my opening chapters. So I’m reworking them and revising them (hopefully not to death) every time I build another chapter. My two main long fics are:
a) Foxiyo political intrigue! I fell into Foxiyo on tumblr by accident (the way most of us have) and was so in love with them and came up with all these fluffy scenes between them that made me want to try my hand at a multi-chapter fic. Except I had no plot.
e.g. Me: They’re hiding in a supply closet and overhear critical info! The ambiance! Such atmosphere!
Also me: What info, Souls??? How did they get there? How can you describe people plotting against them if you don’t have any plot???
…And in the process of finding any plot, I ended up coming up with a LOT of plot. But I really really like it so far and I’m really proud of the world building that I’ve done on the Coruscant political scene and imagining how Riyo and Fox each exist in that world and how they need support (and find it in each other). I’m hoping to start posting this fall/winter.
b) Maul redemption arc via Force Quest(TM) with Ahsoka. I have no chapters written but an entire outline composed of many staple fleshed out scenes, overall plot/character arcs, and main themes. This started as a casual musing of “what would cause Maul to turn to the Light?” that has ended up tackling the big questions about what makes people do evil acts--and when does that cross the line into them becoming evil people, whether people deserve forgiveness, is the world inherently uncaring, covered with loads of my own interpretations of the Light and Dark sides of the Force.
In the meantime, I miss actually posting, so I have a thranto short-fic of loosely related one-shots tied together (the thranto brain rot is so real) that I’m trying to fit in to my writing time, and also the vibes for Battle Scars just refuse to let up and I have a 3rd chapter idea that’s starting to take shape.
I have two other WIP ideas with enough of the plot/narrative sketched out that I haven’t let them go yet, but based on how long it takes for me to write content for the projects above that I really care about, I’m not sure I’ll ever get to them. (but if anybody goes rabid over them posted here I’ll consider them more closely). They are:
a) Codywan Pride and Prejudice AU. It would be a parody vibe and I would be trying to practice writing humor but I watched P&P this summer and I think my idea of execution is solid.
b) Rexsoka Modern-day Road Trip AU. I actually really love this one and if I come back to Rexsoka, I would love to do this. Anakin wants to do the Great American Road Trip for his bachelor party; themes include coming of age, you can never go home but maybe that’s not as bad as it sounds, and found family.
22. Do you know how your fic will end before you start writing?
If you define writing as “opening a file and starting to create a chapter that will eventually make it to AO3”, then, for the most part, yes (Battle Scars being the glaring exception). The details of that ending are vague, but if I were to give a summary of the entire work, I can tell you the sentence that describes the ending before I decide to start writing. In fact, it’s usually the realization that I have enough plot/character points for a full story that incentivizes me to finally start writing “Chapter One”.
That said, at least 75% of my “writing time” is a Notes file with my story ideas and completely informal scene sketches. Even for my two “probably never write this” ideas above, I have Notes files several pages long outlining the plot points, random scene details, story ambiance, and even some dialogue for key scenes that I didn’t want to forget. And I seriously will probably never find time to write them.

NXX got their hair dried by artem + when they did the same to Artem (self explanatory, it just again love the mom friend artem and then he also got taken care by them. nxx found family for the win)
Sick Artem feat established VynTemRosa (self explanatory, was thinking of writing nxx polycule but i still havent get full grasp of marius and luke voice so yeah eventually that said i still crying over whether i get vyn and artem right. anyway i am currently focused on this because brain rot)
NXX boyband au (full stop, my brain need it so badly because i am very into idols for a long time and still do to some of my faves so i just plays with it.)
Artem theater major + become bestie with Vyn (reluctantly at first but become real) and roommate and still find his way to law anyway (self explanatory, this is because i find out that there is a good acting school at svart thanks to main story chapter 7 and reading thin veil card in yt about artem was about to major in drama if not law)
Obi-Wan and Ahsoka have talk about sexuality ane romantic attraction (self explanatory, and personal and its done tbh just need to be checked)
Arsiparis (hahaha lets just say this bahasa indo words for archivist ;) )

Optimal Codywan for me is a modern AU where Cody is like. Twenty-two. And hardcore in love with his middle-aged boss.
Listen Cody would have logically been like 9 (physically 18) when the war kicked off and imo people don’t do enough with the fact that all the clones are basically twenty on average by the time the war ends. Physically twenty-six at most. Early Cody would just be a college student crushing on his professor is what I’m saying, and I want that for a modern au.
Yes they had Tem playing him in RotS but that visual doesn't track with the actual information we have on clone aging, so I choose to go with the standard double-speed aging because that makes more sense for an army and with the information provided.
Rex and Anakin fling peanuts at him from behind a stack of shelves. Waxer keeps trying to matchmake for Cody, and Boil is ineffective to stop him. The Domino twins are regularly filming him on Jesse's orders. Ahsoka is very 'gives a giant smile and thumbs up from off screen every time he tries to Get Obi-Wan's Attention, even though it fails to garner the desired results.'
Obi-Wan's mostly just like "Hey look at this brain worm" because those exist in real life and he would study them and everyone needs to just live with that information. Less comedically, I suppose Obi-Wan could have a small bookstore that also does Holistic Things.
The entire plot gets derailed by 11yo Boba following Cody to work one day, tugging on Obi-Wan's stupid sweatervest, and saying "hey, my brother is in love with you and you should kiss him or something. Not when I'm here, though, 'cause that's gross."

i read so many your posts in a row right now and now I have brainrots that i want to share: pls consider mutineer!cody during tcw with codywan but not romantic but getting there but slowly (bc in my extreme biased opinion codywan is the slowest burn considering how much these bitches didn't trust others) or mutineer!cody against his close brothers, going against rex anyway you're truly one of best cody blogs you posts and ideas are wonderful now mutineer!cody is my new obsession thank you

i have two very separate mutineer concepts living in my brain atm which are a) au where the chip did not exist and cody obeyed order 66 willingly and b) au i partially discussed today where the jedi try to help the clones mutiny.
cody is just straight up a different character in the first one, the character he was originally painted as in rots. the absolute loyal soldier. basically not My Cody™ but my other cody, if you will. this isn’t a codywan or jedi-friendly timeline and it’s why i use the sentence “i’m a codywan stan but in the valid way where i would still stan cody if he had tried to kill obi-wan on purpose”. i’m obsessed with how this cody would deal with confronting rex post order 66 because obviously in no chip timeline rex would disobey point blank
second au... cody basically masterminds an extremely convoluted plan to do whatever it takes to kill the sith so that the jedi can stand with the clones when they mutiny. and honestly i believe that he wouldn’t do this if he didn’t have some kind of assurance from obi-wan that the jedi would support them if they were free from anti-sith obligations. that’s where the plan starts. cody insists on giving him plausible deniability though so he never confirms it outright but he Knows. i’m obsessed with codywan in this au... please consider the drama of cody getting caught and insisting obi-wan had nothing to do with it and obi-wan finally has had enough and is like no. i knew. and if you’re going down for this then so am i
(cue anakin betrayed most cruelly most unjustly face because palpatine has manipulated him into seeing this as an evil treasonous conspiracy against him personally)

Currently watching: Nothing at the moment really, but i was listening to some crime interrogation psychological analysis videos earlier on youtube. 🤣 Super cheery stuff, I know.

30+ Ship/Character Headcanons for Pride: Star Wars Edition
Halfway through the month already, but I’m gonna do something this year! I have consumed so much Star Wars content in 2020, canon and fanfic both, and now I have Opinions.
Codywan
Cody is gay and demisexual, Obi-Wan is bi.
They become friends quickly, and develop one of the closest Jedi-Commander relationships in the GAR. They fall in love later on but agree not to commit to anything until after the war.
Obi-Wan realizes his feelings slowly over seasons 2 and 3, reflecting on their teamwork and how much he values and cares about Cody. Cody realizes his feelings when Obi-Wan comes back from Kadavo and he realizes how important Obi-Wan is to his life.
During the war, they like to spend time together, especially in the mornings or decompressing after a battle. They do paperwork, trade book recommendations, and just sit close and talk.
In AUs where ROTS didn’t happen, Obi-Wan steps down from the Jedi Council and he and Cody work out the details of their relationship so Obi-Wan can still be faithful to the Jedi Code.
Basically they get engaged and stay that way forever. They get an apartment with many houseplants and a cat that likes Cody better.
Cody is a little Force-sensitive, and Obi-Wan teaches him to meditate and use the Force to process emotions. Once Cody is free of the chip (in canon-compliant timelines), he uses this to find peace about Obi-Wan’s “death” and joins the Rebellion.
Rex
Rex is demiromantic asexual.
In AUs where ROTS didn’t happen, he ends up in a queerplatonic relationship with Anakin (who leaves the Order) and Padmé. He is Luke and Leia’s third parent.
He’s really good with kids, and adopts several orphans after the Empire is defeated. Luke and Leia and Ezra and Sabine are his honorary kids too.
Ahsoka
Ahsoka is a lesbian. She’s jealous of Lux during the Onderon arc, not Steela.
Barriss is her first kiss, right after the brain worms incident. They’re never actually in a relationship though, because Barriss thinks that would make it too hard to follow the Jedi Code.
She reconnects with Kaeden Larte during her Fulcrum years and they get married after the Battle of Yavin. Between Fulcrum work and the mission to find Ezra, she’s away a lot, so she carries a special holocomm with a secure line to Kaeden to keep in touch.
Skybridger
Ezra and Luke are both gay. Ezra is also nonbinary and uses both he/him and they/them.
They bond over comparing notes on Jedi training, and also going through the embarrassing “mistook admiration for a crush on now-sister” phase.
They go on lots of adventures together to gather bits of Jedi culture and find Force-sensitive kids to train. It’s Luke’s idea to start a school and Ezra’s idea to search for the old Jedi temples like the one on Lothal.
Eventually they just also start being romantically affectionate on these adventures. No one is surprised. Ahsoka officiates their wedding on Lothal a couple years later, which is attended by the entire rebellion.
They fix up an old U-wing to live and travel in because they’re both used to living on ships. Luke flies, Ezra shoots as needed and also cooks. Ezra always brings back stray animals and Luke sometimes agrees to keep them.
Ketbine
Ketsu and Sabine are both lesbians.
They meet at the Imperial Academy and are dating when they run away together. The stress of running from the Empire and bounty hunting strains their relationship and they break up before parting ways.
They start dating again after the liberation of Lothal and get married after the Battle of Endor. Hera officiates. Sabine is smug about getting married before Zeb.
After the war, they split their time between Krownest, where Sabine eventually inherits the title of Duchess Wren, Concord Dawn, where they help rebuild the Protectors, and Mandalore.
Kalluzeb
Kallus is pan, Zeb is gay.
They build up a friendship before and during season 4, and start dating after the Battle of Yavin. They have a lot of personal issues to work through and getting stuck on the ice moon together was only the beginning, but they both put in the effort and it pays off.
They get married after the Battle of Endor. Hera officiates. Zeb is kinda salty that Sabine beat him to the punch, but they have a great honeymoon on Lira San so it all evens out.
After the war, they help build up the refugee community on Lira San and travel around to locate other Lasat refugees. Zeb even serves a term as Senator for Lira San in the New Republic Senate.
Miscellaneous
Chirrut and Baze are both gay. They’ve been married for 30 years.
Rey is biromantic asexual, Finn is bi, and Poe is gay. Rey and Poe both date Finn but not each other.
Kanan, Hera, Leia, Han, Padmé, Cassian, Bodhi, and Rose are all bi. So are a plurality of the clones.
Lando is pan and genderfluid and their pronouns vary. They’re living their best life.
Echo is genderfluid and uses he/him. Fives is agender and uses they/them. None of Domino squad are cis.
