Station 19 has caused a Codywan issue...
So like, Codywan with Cody as a firefighter, right? And Obi-Wan as an EMT. But like, I've got this adorable fluffy idea (that I hope stays that way but listen...) and I really want firefighter Cody covered in soot and trying to argue with Obi-Wan that the six kittens and mama cat he found 100% need oxygen and he's a damn EMT so will he just stop laughing and do it (he tried his mask but they kept wriggling).
BUT SOOT COVERED CODY AND KITTENS
LITTLE BABY KITTENS HE NAMES AFTER SOMETHING NERDY LIKE DND CREATURE TYPES.
He just calls mama mama though.
But like Dragon and Mimic and Sprite and Devil and Goblin and host.
Devil is the one who is determined to get past every barrier Cody creates to keep them in their little nest area with mama.
Ghost is pure white.
Goblin is a little funny looking.
Dragon likes to scream and Mimic always starts screaming after her.
Sprite is the runt.
Obi-Wan is the hot EMT who drops his clothes the second he sees Cody shirtless and bent over tiny little kittens trying to weigh them on a kitchen scale. (He sets them on and then struggles to keep them on long enough to get a reading)
I also really want mama to be dying to be a street cat and Cody has to hold one of her babies outside to cry when she escapes out the door (because Devil learned how to slip out from her )
So she hears the baby and comes back and he always scolds her.
And he's not allowed to have cats in his apartment so he teaches them to curl up in his warmer underneath the stove where they stay quiet and warm when his landlord stops by.
He keeps a blanket there.
"Mama you are not made for the streets. You are a parent now you can't be acting like this. Get your calico ass inside."

Who have to put their heads together and get out of a bad situation. Like, maybe Obi-Wan (as a Jedi) and Jango (as a bounty hunter) get kidnapped by the same person and they both can't do it alone but they just might make it out alive together.
Like, trauma bonding, to the extreme, they finally got to an inn, 100,000 miles away from where they are caught and they've got a datastick worth of info on them and they've contacted who they need to and they're supposed to have split ways but it's been 6 weeks with each other and Jango's blood is still singing with their victory and Obi-Wan is running high on the force again, after being without it for so long and they just....fall into bed together.
And it's messy and a little too rough and a lot of fumbling but they sleep together and while they're both lying there they say their goodbyes but they both know it won't be the last time.
They exchange comms.

But I think it's a little funny that if you were to take my favorite fics, they all start very differently. I wonder if I just use the quick hook when I've got a middle part I really want to get to and no idea how to start it. Lmfao.
I guess the habit of a quick quote hook will die when I'm dead.

A big one that I've been daydreaming about but haven't actually got to write yet is the prequel to Kal'Koora, which tbf is super sad but also I just think it would make the pay off of Kal'Koora so much better.
It's supposed to follow Jaster and Kal's story all the way leading up to Jaster's death and I've named it K'oyacyi, which is like 'Stay Safe!' but the k' makes it a command.
Obviously, we know how it ends but I think I might like to expand on how it begins too.
I've got a million ideas in my head and sprawled across notes. XD

I hope you don’t mind that I’ve come to scream at you about how much I love your “We Built This Right, Nothing's Ever Gonna Move It” series. It’s so good and I can’t wait to see what comes next. But actually I love all your works and stayed up till 2 in the morning last night reading and probably would have pulled an all nighter if I thought I could my eyes open for them. Hello there! How are you doing? ☺️
So, I don't know if you'll answer, but I decided to ask anyway. I wanted to know if the story 'As We Speak, I Give Myself Away' will continue, I'm very curious, and for the next chapters and as you haven't updated since October 2022, this was one of the first fanfics I read about 212 Attack Battalion/Obi -wan Kenobi, I've lost count of how many times I've reread this story (and it continues to be one of my favorites) and I really wanted to know if there will be a continuation.😊

Yes it has been a long time for that one, hasn't it? Sometimes I get a little bit caught up in deadlines and RL and I totally forget about a fic until I get a random comment one day and think 'hey I should probs work on that'.
It will definitely be continued, I really do love that fic, it's just that 2023 has been my personal Hell year and I took some time to focus on writing only what I wanted to in the moment so that it was something that I would look forward to.
That being said, I am looking to get back to that one soon, so be on the lookout!

So...I have a question, (if you have the time!) because I'm not new to Fandom at all, but I'm not particularly vocal other than commenting. Like I don't respond to other commenters comments, you know? But is it acceptable (as not the author of the fic in question) to call out a commenter who's comment was solely a "hey will there be more of this?" variety? Or would that make the author feel like I'm then stepping out of bounds or starting a fight deal? Bc I think that comment is really not nice, especially when they don't say anything about the story that is posted! But I also know there's alot of etiquette around commenting and I don't want to upset the author even more you know?

I think in this case it very much depends. I'm no expert myself but as someone who has gotten a fair bit of comments on continuing things, I think it depends a lot.
Someone asking me if I'm going to continue something—normally in question form or with a compliment attached—doesn't bother me personally. Now, I can't say what other authors may think but in that case, I assume good intentions.
My problem lies with people who are demanding things—or trying to guilt me into continuing something. Some of my fics are finished, some are not. There is normally a reason that I've not continued with something (as evidenced by my own personal ratio of finished to unfinished fics) and a request to finish it isn't a problem but I don't owe anyone anything.
When I originally joined fandom back in 2010, I loved it because of how community-based it was. I like sharing ideas and hearing ideas and bonding over something that was a big part of my life and I feel like we've lost that.
It's like the Tiktok of fandom to write nowadays. Your goal is to pump out as much content as fast as possible to become a BNF and if you do manage to get there, you aren't touchable (which is very not true as evidenced by the loss we've felt in the fandom in the last two years). I think more than anything it would probably be isolating, though I can really only speculate.
I've kind of found the friends and discord servers that allow me to feel the community that I thought was lost and that enabled me to be able to continue with what I do in a way that worked and felt good for me, but I feel as though for every one of me there's got to be so many people that we've lost who aren't able to find that connection.
So all of this is probably a bit off from your original question, please excuse my tangent but with that said this is what I think;
If you believe in someone, if you believe in what they do, your intentions are good and you feel as though they are being stepped on, by all means step in. If they were on the street you'd have said someone should do something. Just because we are behind screens doesn't change my opinion on that but also, be kind. I think that sometimes people don't understand the etiquette and your words matter.
If someone just doesn't understand something, getting angry won't change their mind and neither will unkind words. Trust me I've been there, where you are just tired of the bad and you snap at one person and more often than not I've regretted it. But that doesn't mean it's not a teaching moment. Stepping in to say something isn't cool—or to assure an author that what someone is doing isn't cool has always been something I've advocated for.
Because as fandom has gotten bigger—and by nature more diverse—you're finding more and more people either don't understand the etiquette or they don't respect it.
So if an author asks for critique. go ahead and give it.
But don't just randomly comment something negative on something provided to you for free. Don't create a place where authors are afraid to post because they might get a comment about 'xyz'.
God knows if you check on my first fic and my last fic there's a huge difference. In only three years, I'm miles ahead of where I was. But what if someone had posted a ton of negative shit and I'd walked away?
That's 82 fics gone from the Star Wars tag.
So if someone asks for you to just walk away when you don't like something, do that.
If someone wants to interact with the fandom, interact with them.
Bring back what made fandom such a big draw and you'll find that it will only get bigger. Whether people know it or not there are more people excited for it than against it. Let's start acting like it.

🤩Who's your favorite character to write?
So this is kinda two-fold because clearly from my work you'd think my favorite character in the world is Obi-Wan and it's true that he's totally one of my favorite characters to write but I've also somehow carved out a special place in my heart for both Kal Skirata and Jaster Mereel? Something about Mandalorians and daddy issues I suppose (I'm joking...sorta).
❌What's a trope that you would never write?
Hmm, this one is kind of hard because it's not usually the trope itself but rather something associated within its subcategories. For instance, dubcon can freak me out but only if it's not addressed that it negatively affected the person but most times, verbal humiliation and/or abuse as a kink squicks the hell out of me and I don't read or write it.
🥺Is there a certain moment or common interaction between your own characters that never fails to put you in your feels?
Oof. I make everyone feel so much that this is a hard one. I think I always really love the moment that Jango realizes he's in love? Because of his trauma, I don't really picture him as someone who would recognize it right away and so when he does it's always like a kind of good feeling.
Or whenever the moment Obi-Wan falls in love and it's safe to do so? Like I feel like in canon (I don't care that it's not canon anymore anyone can fight me) he's burned every time he tries it and so it's kind of a thing for him to be able to do so and feel safe doing it.
