#clarisse la rue angst
Note
Hi!!!! i don’t remember if you did something like this or not but maybe you can do where the fem! reader (aphrodite or unclaimed. you can pick) is foolishly in love with clarisse but clarisse is like super mean to her but the reader is a little delusional and oblivious to it so she continues to give her gifts but then the reader sees clarisse hanging out with silena more so the reader gets sad but doesn’t or does (you can pick) stop her affection and gifts (even though clarisse throws them out and/or gives them away which the reader sees and get hurts by it) so one day clarisse is talking to her siblings about the reader and clarisse’s siblings say that she’s so clingy or annoying or something to which clarisse agrees to and the reader overhears and officially stops talking and giving stuff to clarisse all together and starts hanging out with a new camper which makes clarisse gets a little upset and annoyed that she starts being mean to the new camper and reader. clarisse then realizes that she’s in love with the reader. you can pick how it ends. happy ending??
i’m sorry it’s so long and i hope it makes sense!!!
Is it true you care?

You and clarisse weren't really in that great terms to everyone's eyes you followed her around like a love sick puppy but who could blame you she was perfect the way she walked and talked with such confidence man it was like you worshiped the ground she walked upon.
Clarisse thought of you like a pest honestly but somewhere in her heart she couldn't get why she was so attracted to you.
You saw clarisse walking you had something to give her so you walked up to her
When she saw you she rolled her eyes at you and groaned "what y/n? Here to give me one of your lame gifts?" She said laughing and everyone laughed with her.
"mhm!" You said smiling your was angelic a soft just like your voice nobody can laugh at you when you smile cause you were so pretty you hated just being just a pretty face.
She scoffed and took the gift knowing everyone was watching her you sighed when she walked away.
She looked around to see if anyone was watching then she threw it away she didn't see that someone was watching that someone had to be the new kid her name was loral she is claimed by Demeter she spent her time attending to the flowers near the ares cabin sometimes.
Today seemed cold like a thick sad mist today everyone looked at you secretly whispering to each other you sighed you didn't know what it could be but you didn't care clarisse was the only person you cared about you saw her talking to Selina she was your sister though she thought you were weird but she couldn't be rude to you cause you always looked up to her and you were her loving sister.
But her and clarisse are always together you sighed you felt your heart ache with such pain but decided to keep your composure reminding yourself that your sister loves you and would never do that to hurt you were wronged Selina a clarisse laughed together out loud loral saw you watching them a sighed but then you ran away dropping your plate running to the toilets to cry on the floor you sobbed a held your jacket at your chest trying not to panic but then your hear someone.
"Hello?' loral spoke loudly she came to check up on you she wasn't your friend but everyone has a right to feel happy and not in pain like how you were feeling you kept quiet "hey, y/n I just came to see if you were alright?.."
You gasped "I do not-.. it's obvious is it?.." she looked at you with and approving face you "it's just why didn't she love like I loved her... You know? I guess it was one-sided..."
"loral?, is that you?." You said softly wiping your tears away from your eyes.
"yeah, I saw what happened, just came to see if you were doing okay, you know?..'" she said with the symphony given to her mother
"I'm alright...!" You said with glassy eye re-applying your lipgloss about to walk out
She grabbed your hand softly with no force on her grasp "y/n.. its not fine if you bottle things up, I know you love clarisse.." she said smiling at you
Loral sighed and walked up to you and grabbed both of your hands "didn't you feel down the line that she liked you back at least once?..." She said looking you in the eyes.
Maybe you did feel like that at some point her cruel way of loving you but you always told yourself to be positive and kind while your sister was talking about how annoying you were a clarisse giggle.
Tumblr media
Today you were walking by the ares cabin and you heard clarisse say your name you knew it was wrong but you decided to listen in on what they said you felt heart broken by what she said
"she is always around me it's like she doesn't have a life." She said coldly as you covered your mouth sobs wanting to come out of your mouth
Then you heard a very familiar voice your heart felt like it was a toy that was used and thrown away into a bin "yeah she follows you around I feel bad for your ear." She held jokingly pinching it and letting it go" "she talks like a parrot speaking and repeating..." You felt like you wanted to leave and just end it here you walked back stepping on stick and you back away .
Clarisse and Selina heard the stick break "shit." You ran away as fast as you could when you passed by the Demeter cabin and knocked on the door clarisse was worried but Selina wasn't clarisse worried if it was you she disliked the way you showed your love towards her but she didn't hate you for it clarisse went looking for you cause she knew it had to be you.
Tears streamed down your face when loral opened the door you let out a shaky sigh of hurt your glassy eyes and your puffed under lid said it all loral gasped and just gave you a big hug, feeling safe in her arms you let out your tears crying a sobbing and trying to catch your breath "she... Doesn't.." you sobbed into her shoulder as loral tried grazing her hand on your back feeling your pain so hard .
When clarisse found you she saw you in her arms instead of yours her rage grew and she clenched her fist in jealousy she hated you but loved you at the same time when her gaze fell upon you and her hand just let go in that moment seeing loral hold you with such sympathy and seeing you cry into her arms loral spoke "my gosh, y/n... I know you loved clarisse but she doesn't deserve someone with such a kind selfless soul..." She said wiping your tears away from your sad beautiful eyes.
Clarisse knew it was true cause after what she said about you she knew you didn't deserve a kind hearted girl like you but what made it painful to her was to hear it, it started pouring down rain as your hair got wet loral took you inside with a comforting smile whilst holding your hand.
Clarisse just stood there in the rain her curls weighing down from the rain water that got caught in your beautiful hair as she dreamed that you were the one holding her hand leading you into her cabin she sighed walked back into her cabin she shouldn't have said those things tomorrow she'll make it right again.
"I feel so bad." She said to herself she wished she never said that stuff about you she missed you talked her ear off the way you used to give her gifts she missed you in general.
Tumblr media
Your eyes were so puffy you wore a black long sleeved T-shirt under your shirt and wore some baggy jeans a thanked loral for helping you so much she never wanted anything more but to help you you were her best friend.
The whole day you ignored the world around you ignored your so called sister a clarisse you walked by them see with your puffed up red eyes, clarisse noticed in archery how bad you actually were and how you felt after hearing her say that.
She felt like she was guilty but after class at lunch she came up to you "y/n? I want to speak to you" clarisse with guilt and heartache.
You sighed, you're not one to hold a grudge so you replied "yeah okay..." You said as she told you to follow her "yes, clarisse?.." you said with such a soft and angelic voice given to you by your mother.
"y/n, I'm sorry for how I treated you..." She said dodging your eye contact.
"for what?, it's clear to me that I'm just clingy and annoying, or maybe that I'm an on-repeat parrot, or that I'm just a girl that doesn't have a life, but its not my fault, I fell in love with you clarisse!." You sobbed about to leave but clarisse stopped you
She was speechless and felt so guilty now "what?..." Why did she do that she said to herself she always ruined everything she did she ruined it for herself and others that was what she said to herself.
"y/n, I really love you I might have just realized it now but I do." She said it made your heart was pounding really hard in the moment.
"I love you too, but you better not be lying to me." You said with jokingly
"don't worry I won't lie to you sweetheart" she said as gently kissed your forehead.

can’t stop thinking about trying to help clarisse in the war and her losing you :/
Tumblr media
she thought you were doing good at first, you were. no one had gotten close enough to touch you, you were winning. until you weren’t.
she looked away for a minute, a single minute, just 60 seconds. when she looked back you were on the ground, blood slowly seeping out of your abdomen.
her face falls as her tears well up in her eyes. she almost drops her weapon to run over to you. quickly dropping down to her knees as she looks over you.
she’s scared to touch you but needs to stop the bleeding before it’s too much. she lets out a breath as she pushes her hands over your wound, trying to minimize the bleeding. the pressure making you grunt as your eyes open up and look up at her.
she can save you, she tells herself. she needs to save you. she can’t let you go like this.
she’s so caught up in the way your blood is covering her hands that she doesn’t notice you staring at her. she finally looks up at your face and lets more tears fall. she leans down at presses a soft kiss to your forehead.
“it’s okay, i promise… it’ll be okay..” she chokes out as more tears fall freely down her face. she pulls you into her lap and she holds onto you, not wanting to let go.
“i love y-you, clarisse,” you take a small breath as you grab onto her hand, pulling it towards your lips as you press a kiss to her. “more than anything..” you whisper out to her.
she sobs as she watches your eyes go hazy as they flutter close, your body falling limp in her hold. she presses a long kiss against your forehead again and she sobs, her tears falling from her onto your face.
“i love you, y/n. i’m so sorry.”

Born from the same father but different mothers, your sibling bond with Percy was unbreakable, certainly unconditional. Your mothers were very close, growing up as best friends from when they were teenagers, accomplishing every achievement together for the sake of you and Percy’s life.
Of course, your moms fell in love, hosting a small spring wedding when you were 10 and Percy was 6 years old.
So when Sally had to move again, your mom didn’t ask questions and instead packed your bags, placing them in the car and driving to the airport. A loving family of four was maintained by dark secrets that cost lives.
With everything going on, with the upbringing of your heritage, both of your mothers went through thick and thin. Developing from friends into lovers hardly changed anything, presumably their love maintained massively for themselves and shared children.
Tumblr media
It was a rainy day, you and Percy had just been expelled from Yancy. Nancy bullied your brother so you reacted like how any big sister would and punched her before she flew into the nearby fountain, completely drenched in water. That little defense mechanism got both you and your little brother expelled from Yancy indefinitely as you two took a train back to your parents’ apartment.
You two apologized profusely to your moms, but they remained nonchalant, telling you two to pack a bag because you were visiting your residential cabin.
Something was wrong, extremely wrong and you felt it in your gut as soon as you stepped foot into the unkept cabin. From the moment your mom became sorrowful and honest, retelling the story of how she met your father, you knew something was up. Sadly, you just didn’t know that it’d be life-changing for you both.
Interrupted by rapid knocks on the cabin door made you jump a little in surprise and your mom, Sally, went to open the door. It was Percy’s bestfriend, Grover. He was soaked from the rain and began to blabber on to your moms, incoherently talking about revealing the big secret.
“Grover…” Percy speaks, waringly looking down at his friend’s lower body, or rather the lack thereof. Shockingly enough, his lower body wasn’t one of a human’s but one of the legs of an animal, specifically a goat.
“What?” Grover snapped, turning his head to the siblings, hitting his hoove against the wooden floor.
“Grover, why is there half a goat in your pants?”
“Did your mom fuck a goat or something?” The question had to be asked, but it yet remained to be answered.
Doubled in confusion when Grover, Percy’s best friend was also your satyr protector, dedicating to getting both of you at Camp Half-Blood safely. When your mothers’ actually revealed the truth about your father’s real identity, you were appalled, to say the least. You assumed he was a deadbeat and couldn’t care less about his kids, and you were absolutely right. Only now his identity expanded in further detail, making him out to be a god, one of the most powerful gods there ever was. Therefore making you and Percy, forbidden children in both worlds, are continually being hunted by monsters, who strive to see your demise.
“Do you believe this, Y/N?” Percy turns to you, mouth open in bewilderment.
“Right now, I don’t know what to believe anymore.” You truthfully spoke.
“Did you know I’m 24?” Grover asked you innocently.
You and Percy shared the same shocked expression, “Wait? What?”
Grover winces, staring back at the two adults in the car, “Out of curiosity, what exactly did you tell them?”
“We were getting there!” Your moms shouted simultaneously at Grover.
Grover nods his head, leaning back into the seat.
“Moonlight…listen to me.” your mom looks at you through the mirror as your gaze hesitantly meets hers. “You and Percy are forbidden children, monsters are going to attack you every day, this camp can protect you both.”
“Why can’t you and Sally come with us then?” you bargained with her, tears forming in your eyes. You couldn’t imagine, much less experience your life without your mother and Sally. The same women who nurtured you since you were babies and taught you everything you knew. You refused to give up on them, everything they did was to protect and love you, and now it was your turn.
Sally starts to talk, eyes stuck on the road, “We humans are not allowed there. Only demigods like you two.”
“But we don’t wanna leave you two.” Percy persisted.
“You’re our moms.”
“You’re gonna have to, that Minotaur isn’t gonna stop until he kills both of you.”
All of a sudden, a collision hit the car with enough brute force to send the car off the road and everything went black. It was all so quick, the collision, the swiveling of the car and landing on the side of the road, far from bypassers to rescue.
The rain pattering against the car turned into a heavy rainpour as everyone in the car, hanging upside down with the seat belt anchoring them, remained still, all unconscious.
After a while, the dulling pain in your head sharply woke you up, being the first to recover from the crash. Holding your head in pain as you slowly opened your eyes, feeling the blood trickle from your head, surveying your surroundings as you saw Percy and Grover still unconscious. Quickly unbuckling your seatbelt, you got out of your seat, repeating the same action to your younger brothers.
One by one, you carefully got everyone from the car as they began to wake up. A growl from the distance urges you to move faster as you help your other mom, Sally, get out of the damaged car.
Sally, Percy, and Grover were recovering, standing on their feet, checking for any injuries and your mom was the last one who needed rescuing.
“Mom…” you shake her but her body is motionless as the tears well up in your eyes.
You felt Sally’s arm pushing you back, sending you into Percy’s and Grover’s embrace as you nervously observed.
“Come on, come on, Jess…” Sally murmurs, kneeling down, searching for a pulse. “You gotta survive, we have children together, we can’t lose you right now.”
“Is she okay?” Percy chirps up, deciding to speak for you.
You found everything incomprehensible around you, your senses became deafening and a high-pitched ringing in your head matched the loud heart beating in your chest.
When Sally stayed silent, it only worsened your anxiety, “Mom, is she okay?!” Percy speaks again, adding some base in his voice yet his tone slightly wavers.
“She has a fading pulse…” Sally whispers, sparing a sad glance at you and quickly turning back to Jessica, “It’s decreasing rapidly,”
Dropping to the muddy slippery ground on your knees, tears quickly filling the brim of your eyes, threatening to fall as you moved closer to her.
“Mommy…” you cradle her face into your chest, saddened by her face, eyes closed as blood trickles down her forehead.
“We can revive her, right!” Your voice cracks, whipping your head to Sally, “Tell me we can revive her!”
“Y/N…” Sally sighs deeply, trying to contain her own tears. You turn around, looking down at your mother, resting on your lap, body motionless yet her face looks peaceful.
“No! We- I can save her. We can do heart-to-heart compressions,” you shake your head, starting to do heart-to-heart compressions. “Why isn’t she waking up? Mommy, this isn’t funny anymore now, you have to wake up and help us. Please I can’t do this without you, I can’t do this whole new demigod thing without you.” your voice was dry, as you leaned down, blowing air into her mouth, hoping for a miracle to occur.
You didn’t truly believe in miracles, but for your mother, you’d start believing it. Right now, you would do whatever it took to bring her back even if it meant wishing on the impossible.
“We didn’t do plenty of things yet, I wanted you and Sally to meet my first girlfriend, attend my graduation, be there when I move out and eventually get married, and get grandkids from Percy because we both know I’m not going through that torture.”
Your senses became intensely heightened, catching onto Grover’s whisper to Sally, ignoring him as you spoke up.
“I refuse to leave her alone, she isn’t dead, just having some problems waking up and getting a pulse back.” You were in extreme denial, “Come on, mum, you focus on her face, giving her air and I’ll do her chest,” you beckoned Sally forward.
“Sweetheart…she’s already….gone.”
“She’s my mom and Percy’s mom, your wife. She wasn’t supposed to die this early. If all you’re gonna do is stand there and be useless, don’t bother talking to me.” It wasn’t intentional to snap at your other mom, but your emotions were driving you crazy and brazen.
“You’re the sun to my moon, Mommy, I can’t shine when you’re not there with me.” You sobbed. Despite being physically exhausted, you weren’t giving up on trying to revive your mom, she would have never given up on you so you would stop trying until you had something, anything; a pulse, a gasp, her eyes shooting up. “Remember…” You weakly asked, holding onto the moon-shaped necklace on your neck, staring at your mom’s sun-shaped necklace.
The sky crackled with slight thunder as the rain poured down heavier. Finally understanding the meaning of your nickname, you sobbed desperately until the broken cracks of your voice gave out.
There was no sunshine without her moonlight, always them being in a pair, nothing without the other. Sadly, you lost your sunshine, darkening your moonlight to its deepest depths, harvesting it into something vengeful and heartless. Something that even scared you to a certain extent, like this was another new side flourishing because of the horrible circumstances.
“Hold up, is Y/N doing that?” Percy quietly asks Grover.
You rested your mom on the ground, ignoring the cold rainpour.
“She’s gone…” Sally cries, grabbing your arm and pushing you into her body for a hug. You cried into the hug, tightening your grip as your wails echoed throughout the forest. Maybe this was all a nightmare, where you’d wake up and relax in reality. This was the time that your mom needed to wake you up and reassure you that she was right there, staying with you and protecting you.
Your chest clenched against your rib cage, devastation wracked throughout your entire body as the tears relentlessly spilled out.
“But she- she can’t be gone!” You hiccup, eyes glossing over with fresh tears, feeling another arm snuggle around your side.
“I know, sweetheart. I’m so sorry,” she caressed your face.
“What kind of demigod I am, if I was blessed with all these supernatural powers, can’t even save my Mom from death? What kind of daughter am I to just stand by and watch her own mother die? I don’t want this demigod life anymore, please take it all away if it meant my mother is coming back, to me, to home.”
“Don’t you ever say that again, you did everything you could, your perseverance is one of your strongest qualities that Jessica adored very much. She wouldn’t want you to doubt yourself like this nor would I,” Sally reassures you, resting a thumb on your cheek, “Our beautiful daughter, she’s so proud of you, I want you to know that.”
Your eyes were puffy and red from tears as you listened to your mother’s words of encouragement and reassurance.
Much to your dismay, another loud roar broke the semi-family grievance, reminding them of the harsh reality.
“We have to go now!” Grover hastily urges.
“I’m not leaving my mom here like this,” you point to her figure on the ground.
“We won’t, I promise you, sweetie. I’ll give her a proper burial, but right now we have to go!” Her tone was urgent as she quickly scanned the dark forest with the illumination from the car light.
You hurriedly rushed towards your mother’s still figure on the muddy ground, leaning down.
“Goodbye, Mom,” you whisper hoarsely, kissing her forehead for the last time. You stared down at her neck, gazing at the sunlight necklace she wore and yanked it off, and shoved the meaningful jewelry into your back pocket. Your heart broke again, realizing she can’t respond back, despite being in extreme denial.
Unfortunately, that was the last time you saw your moms, one died in your arms and the other sacrificed herself for her children’s safety.
The pain and suffering became a dangerous mix of anger and hatred directed at the Minotaur.
Grover’s statements fall on deaf ears, partially drowned out by the heavy rainfall. “Y/N and Percy come on, we’re almost there.” you glance at your blonde brother who holds the same expression on his face. You were going to avenge your mothers, and you didn’t care if you died trying. This monster had already taken your worlds away, so you had nobody else to lose.
Grabbing the pen from your pocket, holding it out, and witnessing it transform into a golden sword at will.
The fight with the Minotaur was brutal and intense, alongside the heavy downpour of rain attempted to slow down the intensity of this fight. Despite double-teaming the monster, he resisted surrender, determined to win and kill you both. Surprisingly, you gained the agility to climb onto his back while Percy distracted him.
Somehow, you gained the ultimate advantage with the lighting sword in your hand and stabbed the monster in its eye, ignoring his roar of pain. If anything its pain only further encouraged you to continue.
Too full of adrenaline, you grab his two horns, gripping them and pulling them out with your utmost strength. A new sudden strength you just obtained. Gasping in shock was quickly outlived when your sword slipped out of your hand and dropped onto the muddy ground, disappearing from your eyesight. Stumbling onto his feet, inflicted by the pain, you groaned, gripping the monster by his rough skin as he attempted to shake you off.
“Percy the sword!” You yelled at him. Your brother throws the sword upwards as you catch the weapon.
You stab the monster in the neck, wincing at his loud screeches, but continue to stab his neck. Once the monster was deemed weak enough, you sliced the sword right through his neck, seizing the opportunity of successfully killing it.
This was all this stupid monster’s fault. If it hadn’t chased after you or slammed itself into the car, your mom would be alive. If it didn’t have such a bloodthirst for demigods, Sally, your mum would still be alive. Alive. Alive. Alive. You just wished your moms were alive, to see you mature into such a courageous daughter to avenge their deaths.
Soon enough, the monster staggered on its feet and its body began to disintegrate into black dust before your eyes.
“Y/N!” The voice becomes disoriented as you stumble on the ground, two arms catching you as you faint, everything fading away into a black abyss.

ೄྀ࿐ ˊˎ- clarisse la rue x daughter of eros! reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
synopsis: valentine’s day- something that everyone truly disliked. until one moment, something changed.
authors note: this is not apart of fault is false (sorry!) but i’m sick with a really bad cold today and i wanted to write something special for clarisse on valentines! so.. Happy valentine’s day, everyone!
Tumblr media
Valentine’s day.
Something humans found to be dear to them, coupled people exchanging gifts to one another on the fourteenth of February; the holiday of love.
in camp half blood, valentine’s day was celebrated to the fullest extent of its potential— it was so dear to humans as they had a rather short life span, hence a day to express your love to someone was so precious to the weak minded people. at camp, the holiday was acknowledged by the campers to recognize the importance of being half human, and half god, as well as the lovey dovey atmosphere that followed after. The same was done with other important holidays, such as Halloween and Christmas.
Clarisse la rue did not find the holiday to be particularly pleasant- or pleasant at all, for that matter. Valentine’s day was stupid in her mind. two people smuggling each other in both emotional and physical affection? openly displaying affection? i front of people? such thoughts made the daughter of Ares want to gag.
but than there was you— daughter of Eros, your charm was an automatic reminder of your heritage, and a stark figure of your character.
clarisse felt like a child by how hard she fell for you, stealing the breath from her lungs at every glance she caught of you.
your pretty smile, your wonderful eyes, your sweet face. Clarisse la rue was pissed at herself when she finally realized exactly what her feelings meant, shoving them down like lava to a volcano.
But like all creatures of nature, it was ought to burst out somehow.
and for the young daughter of Ares, her volcano ruptured on valentine’s day- to her fury.
it was a sunny day, but it had never felt so dark to clarisse. Her footsteps shook the earth as she angrily marched through camp, shoving heart shaped balloons from her path and kicking roses she saw on the floor.
The curly haired girl had caught wind that you’d received numerous valentine gifts- chocolates, flowers, posters and even jewelry. knowing people other that clarisse had been eyeing you down for a while made the flickering flame inside her chest burn down towers with her rage.
She stormed through camp with fire following her trail, each step was quaking those around her.
She stormed to cabin 39, where the children of Eros lay.
everyone knew the children of the Greek god of carnal love’s children rivaled those of ancient Greek goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite. You were point of that accusation, the most beautiful girl Clarisse had ever laid her eyes on.
and even now she as she had a torch lighting aflame her chest, she still yearned for your touch— even as she was heading in your direction to explode in a way she wasn’t sure of.
She took a sharp turn around capin 56, for the children of eris— their dark aura usually affecting clarisse now deflected off her skin like a bow to raw metal, the children watching in discord as she stormed to the door of cabin 39.
Clarisse slammed her cinnamon skinned hand against the polished wood harshly, waiting with furrowed brows for someone to answer the door. When she saw the handle move, her back subconsciously straightened.
The wood was pulled back and you were revealed— in all your nauseating, grueling, pure beauty, smile growing wide upon the sight of the curly haired girl outside your door.
“Clarisse!” your voice was smooth like honey, sticky like maple syrup and sweet like sugar. Clarisse ignored the warmth that flushed her body at the soft call of her name you expressed in joy, stupidly gorgeous smile widening at her presence.
in honest, clarisse wanted to bathe in your touch- your voice, your gaze and your heart. She yearned for you in a way she’s never felt, her defensive and rough external force disintegrating pathetic into nothing when you traced your honey soft skin along her arm, pushing hair from her face as the only scent she cpould smell was the sweetness of your person.
Clarisse was scared of her feelings in fact, and the idea that you might like someone other than her had her at the edge of her seat. She knew that it was likely, and if she truly did want you— today would be the day to make the claim.
She huffed, squinting her eyes as you moved from the doorway to welcome her inside. she reluctantly agreed, tucking her chin upward as she took steps forward. Instantly, the smell of sweets and tea attacked her senses with not a single warning— sugar and honey the only smell she could register.
Her face scrunched, overwhelmed by the smell— you laughed, covering your smile with your fingers as you usually did, a cute habit clarisse admired.
“sorry, glykó korítsi. Cole went all out for tou Agíou Valentínou.” Clarisse tucked her face away from your view, scolding herself for faltering under the stupid greek nickname you’ve given her; “pretty girl.”
She took a moment to gather herself, huffing in an upset expression when she examined your cabin.
god, there was no place Clarisse hated more that the Eros Chilren’s Cabin.
the cabin has an intense aura that can drive other demigods insane with arousal— unless that demigod is the child of a love god or goddess once activated by a child of Eros. Clarisse was lucky enough to know you to the point you spared her the torture of the curse on your cabin, and was beyond grateful the so called ‘blessing’ can also be deactivated at will.
clarisss recalled when you first exposed her to your cabin- On the northern part of the first floor, it has a room that can bring to life any sexual and or romantic desire, as well as an exact copy of the person they desire. clarisse found it odd, disgusting even. Nasty fantasies coming to life? how alone and sad does your life have to be you have to imagine yourself with someone you love? she could laugh in their face and ridicule them until they run away crying.
In the living room, there are several shelves with books containing all kinds of unknown and known love stories recorded throughout the ages. It has a large TV in the center, and a rather nice leather couch, may the daughter of ares be so kind to say.
In the east wing lies the kitchen, and on the west wing lies the public bathrooms. There is romantic music playing softly in the background through the means of a record player. That is another reason clarisse despised your cabin; the music.
There is a chandelier hanging from the ceiling with artwork of all kinds of people procreating with one another. On the second floor lies the bedrooms of the children of Eros. Clarisse only knows that because…
Her face turned a subtle shade of pink, barely noticeable on her skin, but the warmth was all the same.
“so, why are you here?” your sticky sweet voice tore clarisse from her thoughts— thoughts she tries her best to… forget.
she cleared her throat— “I wanted to escape this holiday but obviously i came to the wrong cabin,” she lied through her teeth, gesturing to the many heart and love balloons and decorations littering your cabin.
You smile, “You definitely did. This is the last place you should come to on Valentines. Why not go to Eris cabin?” you question, obviously not catching the not-so-obvious hint clarisse thought dropped for you.
“Clearly. and those kids are lame.” she crossed her arms, scanning the area. Your cabin was something else. She felt her cheeks warm once more at the people making out along the stairs of your home, rushing upstairs to the soundproof bedrooms.
Her gaze flickered away, catching yours. Your eyes were red, same as your fathers. They were filled with so many things clarisse could only put her finger on, but all she knew is that her words always died in her throat at their gaze.
“Well, you are welcome to stay, anyway.” you hum, tucking some hair behind your ear as you shifted your weight to a different leg.
Clarisse stood standing with many various of feelings— her knees were uncharacteristically weak, tummy doing summersalts inside her belly, hands shaky as all she wanted to do was—
“come on,” you motioned her over, a strange smile on your face. Clarisse felt herself become uncharacteristically excited as you led her up the stairway to your bedroom, her steps close behind yours as you waved to your siblings in the halls as they sent you a teasing smile before retreating back into their own rooms, with someone who bore little clothes.
Clarisse would never forget the first time she sat foot in your room— a cold winter night, a heated moment— something she would never forget, even though she tried.
as you lead her down the familiar hall, music played lightly from the stairways entrance, echoing throughout the cabin. The sight of your door came to her view, your hand twisting the handle and revealing your room.
Clarisse got immediate flashbacks to the last time she was here, knees once more weakened by the remembrance.
You gently slid your hand down her arm, pulling her into your room and closing the door. Clarisse looked around nervously— your room wasn’t very decorated, only a few things representative of love here and there- most likely gifts from your father. You sat on your bed, eyes pulling clarisse in by the throat as she sat beside you.
It was an awkward silence— at least on her behalf, valentine’s day was always an opportunity to seem unhappy. but as she sat with you, the tension in the room was chewing her skin and muscles off her bones.
the bed shifted for a second, and Clarisse looked over to you— your red eyes staring daggers into hers.
They were so beautiful, a blood like red— so many emotions swarming in them— so many things to represent who you truly where— they held passion, desire, sexuality, lust, danger, action, drama, joy, stress, radiance.
Clarisse could barely hold herself back as your smile encased her in a cage, trapping her, tormenting her— The cinnamon skinned girl was about to make a daring move- but you did first.
You slammed your lips to Clarisses, bed creaking slightly from the fast, sudden movement of your action— but clarisse waisted no time kissing you back. Your lips fell into sync together, dancing in a rhythm that was so perfect you wanted to melt into her.
Her hands landed on your hips, and yours in her soft curly hair— she shoved you down, back meeting the soft pink sheets of your bed, the sound of you two devouring each other the only sound in your room other than the faint valentines music bouncing through the walls.
You pulled her hair, a soft groan leaving the girls lips as she trailed her kisses down to your neck. You hummed, completely emersrd- the feeling of her lips on you was so sweet— you wanted to faint.
But you quickly realized that it wasn’t nearly as cute as you thought, as a sharp pain ate at your skin where she was feeling on your neck. You gasp, the warm feeling of blood barely falling from your neck. She’d bit you.
“clarisse-“ she silenced you with her own lips, the taste of your blood swarming between your mouth and hers, and you melted into the kiss once more.
the kiss was harsh, filled with desperation from both parties, hands touching every possible part of each others body as you lay on your bed.
You weren’t sure, but you guessed this was her way of asking you to be her valentine.
and being the daughter of Eros, there was no better way to ask.

Can you a Clarisse x reader of when Percy broke her spear and just like readers reaction to the her scream and just very angsty but very fully at the same time! Pls and thank u!
I swear on my life reverse hurt/comfort is one of my favorite things to write on this planet. Also, I feel like it’s worth mentioning that Dior said she literally BLEW OUT HER VOICE when she did that scream?!?! She never fails to amaze me.
This got a bit sadder than intended but it's not too bad. Also, sorry this took so long, I had a math test, two essays, and a debate, on top of personal shit. But I FINALLY got it finished.
My Love is Waiting For You to Come Home
Warnings: Slight violence, mild angst, hurt/comfort, cursing, small amounts of blood, mentions of wounds, lmk if I left anything out.

For the first time in what felt like forever, capture the flag was going great. It had been a long time since the red team had won, but you were actually doing really well. You were up in a tree close to the flag, shooting anyone who got too close with your arrows. They weren't sharp, but they had enough of a point to hurt.
Clarisse was hunting in the woods below you. You'd occasionally catch sight of her from the place you were perched on your branch. She always looked amazing like this. Hair pulled back, armor on, spear in hand. She was in her element, and you'd be lying if you said it wasn't extremely attractive. The way she looked so tough, her lucky red bandanna tied around her bicep.
Anyone else would say she looked terrifying. But to you, she was the most beautiful person you'd ever laid eyes on. You were the only one who got that side of her.
It wasn't long before she disappeared again, hunting down anyone who dared to get close to the flag or your tree. She had mentioned something before the game. Something about revenge on the new kid. She didn't go into detail about said revenge, but you new it wouldn't end well for someone.
You didn't move from your tree, assuming her and her siblings had everything handled. And they did, for a while at least. You had shot down another four people by the time you heard your girlfriend scream in a way that genuinely terrified you.
Jumping down from the tree, you raced to the sound as the conch horn blue. You made it in time to see her storm off as the blue team carried the flag over. Just before she made it out of sight, you saw the spear in her hand. Or rather, what was left of it.
Oh gods. You thought.
You tipped your head back, letting out a breath before turning in the direction she went. You found her in the arena, tearing dummy after dummy into shreds. You let her go at it for a while, watching from the doorway.
Eventually, you slowly walked towards her, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder.
"Clar.." You whisper.
She jumps, turning quickly, ready to knock you into the ground before relaxing. All of the tension disappears from her face, her bottom lip trembling. You reach forward, taking the sword from her hand and tossing it into the rack haphazardly.
"I- fuck.." She drops her head forward, breathing hard.
"Come on.. it'll be okay." You lead her towards your cabin, knowing all of your siblings would be in the infirmary tending to peoples wounds. You can see cuts and bruises on her arms, giving you a feeling that her back will be even worse. You make sure to grab the pieces of her spear on your way out.
On the way to your cabin, her eyes don't leave the ground. Your hand stays on her back the the whole walk, not leaving even as you open the door for her.
She sits on your bed, putting her head in her hands. The broken weapon lays on the foot of your bed as you sit next to her. Her breath shakes with her body.
"Let me clean you up, okay?" She nods, at your words.
"Okay.." Her voice is smaller than you've ever heard it before. You lean forward and pull her shirt over her head, confirming your suspicions about her back. An angry red covers almost the entirety of her tan skin, small amounts of blood leaking from a few spots.
You hover a hand over the scrapes and cuts, a warm glow emanating from your palm. Her wounds slowly heal as her muscles relax. Your heart breaks for her every time you hear her wince or feel her breath hitch. Your free hand reaches forward, grasping hers. A few small scars form over the area, but nothing that won't fade.
You lean your chin on her shoulder when you finish, wrapping your arm around her front. Her other hand reaches up to hold your wrist.
"I love you.." You whisper into her ear.
She hesitates, not speaking for a few moments. When she does her voice is as shaky as her body.
"That was the only thing- the only proof he-" She can't finish either sentence. You can feel her holding her breath as if she's trying not to cry.
"I know, my love. I know." Your lips press into her shoulder. "I'm gonna talk to some Hephaestus kids, I think there's a couple of Hecate kids in the Hermes cabin. I'll do everything I can to fix it."
Her whole body shudders. She's never had the best relationship with her dad. He'd always said that she should've been a son. That spear was the only acknowledgement she'd ever gotten from him. And now it was broken.
A few tears slip down her cheek that you pretend not to see.
"It'll be okay, Clar'." Your arms tighten around her as her head leans into you.
"Thank you." She mutters. If it wasn't for your close proximity you probably wouldn't have heard it at all.
"You deserve someone to care about you.. I'll be damned if I don't do everything I can to be that person."
"I love you. So much." Her voices is so soft, so gentle.
"I love you more." You're not sure how long you sit like that, but it's long enough for your legs to go numb. You can bring yourself to care as she looks so comfortable. She's always had to fight for her dad's love. It gets tiring after you do everything you can to get no recognition. It was nice to know she had someone. If she didn't have anyone else, she would have you.
Eventually you moved positions to her laying on your chest. Your hand rubs up and down her back as her wrap around your waist. She traces patterns across your skin with her finger tips. It's not long before you're both sound asleep in each other's arms. She would never have to fight for your love, it was just there, ready for her when she came home.

'The Night Everything Fell Apart'

Clarisse La Rue x DaughterOfApollo!Reader!
WARNINGS!!:Mentions of blood,su!c!de,r!attempts su!c!ce.Angst! (Sorry If I missed anything!)
Angst,Annabeth is the one who finds reader.Part 2 out:
A/N:Not what I usually write but one of my friends rq'd this so I gave it a try.I SUCK AT WRITING SAD/ANGSTY STUFF PLS DON'T COME FOR ME.
A usual night in camp halfblood was disrupted as all of a sudden, the silence shattered into a symphony of horror.A blood - curdling scream pierced through the night. The source of the scream was Annabeth Chase, who had a look of sheer terror etched across her face.Clarisse, shaken from her slumber, sprang to her feet, her hand instinctively reaching for the hilt of her sword.
"What the Hades is going on?!" Clarisse barked, her eyes scanning the camp for any signs of danger as her eyes narrowed
The camp was soon alive with commotion as other demigods rushed out of their cabins, confusion etched on their faces. The source of the scream became clear as they followed the anguished cries to the scene unfolding near the cabin of Athena.
Annabeth stood frozen, her eyes wide with horror, and a chilling realization struck Clarisse - something was terribly wrong. And soon they found out what...
Clarisse's boots pounded against the dew-kissed grass as she sprinted toward the gathering crowd. The atmosphere was thick with tension, and as she pushed her way through the onlookers, her gaze fell upon the tragic sight that had elicited Annabeth's horrified scream.
There, surrounded by a growing pool of crimson, were you,a daughter of Apollo.Your normally vibrant face was drained of color, and your once-bright eyes stared dully at the sky, blood dripping from the corners of your mouth. The metallic scent of blood hung heavily in the air, and Clarisse felt a lump forming in her throat.
Annabeth knelt beside you, her hands shaking as she pressed them against the fatal wound. The sight was heart-wrenching - a stark contrast to the usually composed and strategic daughter of Athena.Clarisse, known for her tough exterior, felt a surge of sorrow welling up inside her.
Clarisse's stern facade crumbled as she beheld the harrowing sight. The daughter of Ares, almost for the first time in her life - felt a surge of helplessness.
"What happened?" Clarisse demanded, her voice betraying a vulnerability she seldom showed.
"She tried to...end it," Annabeth choked out, her words heavy with sorrow. "But she's alive.Somehow, she's alive..."
"Get Chiron! Someone, get Chiron!" A familiar voice broke - Percy - as he pleaded with the surrounding demigods. A few of them dashed off in search of the camp's wise centaur, leaving Clarisse and others to bear witness to the tragedy unfolding before them.
Chiron, the wise centaur and camp director, surveyed the scene with a heavy heart. Clarisse stood by your side, her fists clenched in a futile attempt to contain the anguish welling up inside her.
Her eyes flickered to the faces of her fellow campers, each one reflecting a mixture of shock, grief, and disbelief. The bonds forged in the heat of battles and training seemed fragile in that moment as the reality of a friend lost to despair sank in.Especially the kids of the Apollo cabin - your fellow half-siblings broke down at the sight,it was too much for them to bear.
You had always been a lively presence in camp, your laughter echoing through the training grounds.Nobody had suspected the darkness that must have gripped your soul to lead to such a tragic action on your part. The weight of the realization pressed down on Clarisse's shoulders, and she couldn't shake the heaviness in her chest.
"No..." Clarisse whispered, the weight of the revelation settling heavily on her shoulders.
"Y/n!!" Clarisse's eyes suddenly widened, her voice a choked rasp. It was a plea, a desperate call to a friend - perhaps a love, who seemed to be slipping away. Her fingers brushed against your cold skin, and a shiver ran down her spine. The air hung heavy with the unspoken fear that lingered between the demigods.
She knelt beside Annabeth - who was still crying - her sword forgotten as she reached out. The usually fierce and stoic daughter of Ares felt a surge of helplessness in the face of such pain.Clarisse couldn't shake the image of you, alone in the darkness, driven to a desperate act.
As the reality of the situation sank in,Clarisse's emotions boiled over. She clenched her fists, her knuckles turning white, and let out a primal scream that echoed through the night. The weight of the moment bore down on her, and she collapsed beside you, tears streaming down her face.
"Why?!Why would she do...this!?" Clarisse choked on the words, her voice raw with grief. She cradled you in her arms, her fingers trembling as she tried to comprehend the pain that had driven you to such desperate measures.
You were carried to the infirmary and properly taken care of.Though due to multiple factors like the obvious blood loss and the deadly wound you had inflicted upon yourself - you were still unconscious - not looking ready to wake up any time soon.
Soon enough, the infirmary door creaked open, revealing a scene that would forever be etched in Clarisse's memory. You - laying motionless on a bed, your once vibrant spirit extinguished. The room was filled with an oppressive silence, broken only by the gentle rustling of the wind.
However,Clarisse took it upon herself to visit you,her usual tough exterior softened by the gravity of the situation. The daughter of Ares sat by your bedside, words failing her as she grappled with the fragility of life as you lay unconscious.
The hours passed in a blur of anxiety and grief. The infirmary became a haven for collective sorrow,a place where the demigods faced the fragility of life in its rawest form. Clarisse, usually a pillar of strength, found herself grappling with emotions she had long kept at bay.
"You're not alone." Clarisse finally spoke, her voice wavering slightly. "We all face our demons, but we face them together. You've got people here who care about you." Even though she had no idea if you could hear her or not,she still tried to be there and encourage you - even in your state - but she hoped you could hear her,she then continued. "...I'm one of them.I care for you,I do,I swear I do,damn it!So please, please survive." Her once confident and authoritative tone was now broken and sounded more like a plea than anything. She wanted you to survive.
A/N:I have mixed feelings abt this but I wrote it bc I was in a mood and listening to spotify so ig it works.
Part two here!

Lord Dionysus, Chiron, or whomever may be reading this:
In the event that someone has been unfortunate enough to find this note upon my death, do not fret. This has been a decision I had been mulling over for weeks, months, if not years now. I do not know when I will feel compelled to take this step further, so this has been written entirely in advance. Know that I will be content with my life in the Fields of Asphodel, or the Gardens of Elysium should Lord Hades be so generous as to grant me that privilege.
I would like to thank everyone who did their best in making Camp Half-Blood a welcoming and home space. Special thanks to the Hermes cabin, and Lord Hermes for their gracious welcoming arms and making me feel like I belonged somewhere. My belongings should be distributed amongst whomever would like to keep them, and make sure they are put to good use.
Return any and all of Clarisse’s clothing found in my chest back to the Ares cabin, and let them figure out what to do with it on their own time. Lord Ares, I give my final thanks to you for graciously allowing your daughter to have been part of my life.
To my fellow unclaimed demigods who are wondering if they should be mourning the loss of a sibling, I have no definitive answer for you beyond if you felt like you were close enough to call me a sibling, mourn me like you would a biological one. No matter if you are claimed tomorrow or never claimed at all, know you are not unworthy or inferior simply because of your divine parent’s lack of attention.
You may be half-divine, but always remember to keep that human spark within you alive. Keep your compassion, your empathy, your sense of understanding. This world is not made for us, but never give up on creating spaces that are. We live heavy lives, and respite is hard to come by.
When you bury my body, put me to rest with my javelin, suit of armor, and the fragments of Clarisse’s shattered spear. Under my tongue, please place two coins instead of one. My love is waiting for me on the banks of the River Styx with no way across, and I would like to provide her with a way across alongside me.
Underneath the last paragraph was your name, signed in neat print alongside your signature swooping cursive. The letter was found rolled neatly atop your chest of belongings, your lifeless body on the bunk bed you had claimed for yourself for the past four years of your life. Crimson blood seeped through the bed sheets and mattress, a fatal reminder for all of the fragility that even the strongest harbored.
Upon the discovery of your body, ripples of whispers swept through the campers like a stone tossed in the midst of a serene waterfront. Your skin was just barely lukewarm, the blood streaming from the thin cut horizontal across the jugular vein was beginning to brown and oxidize.
In one hand was the knife that had presumably made the cut, the blade pristine and glinting in the dim light save for the thin line of blood that ran across its edge. The other held Clarisse’s favorite shirt, all bundled up and cleaner than anyone had ever seen it before. Anyone who picked up said shirt could immediately tell that it had been doused in the cologne that she once wore on a daily basis, no doubt a purposeful move to make your last moments completely blissful in surrounding yourself with her scent.
She had been your home, after all.
Clarisse had comforted you through nightmares, the breakdowns about being unclaimed for years that happened whenever someone new was claimed and the jealousy and anger of it all.
She had reassured you that even after Silena had died that you weren’t a rebound, and that her feelings for you were genuine, and you had believed her.
You were her girl, after all. The one she let her walls down around, the one who had tried to patch together the spear her father had given her even after the Hephaestus children had given up. The one who she let braid her hair and be soft around. The one where she had promised over and over again that even in the afterlife, you would find each other in Elysium again.
Then, she had been sent out on a quest. One that she had vowed to return from, safe and sound. The rest of her group did, but her face was never again seen on the hills of Camp Half-Blood that the two of you called home.
Gone were the moments wherein she would hold you and soothe all of your worries away. Gone were the times of squealing as she picked you up from behind and spun you around to face her mid-air. Gone were all the possibilities to make the most of your limited years together, because she was dead, off in a faraway land that you couldn’t even visit to see her corpse and offer her one last smile.
That was when the thoughts began to swirl in your mind. Months went by and everything seemed to go back to normal. You had been given three weeks off training to mourn, and after those three weeks you seemingly bounced back like nothing was wrong, like you hadn’t just lost the love of your life.
The only difference was the streak of white that made itself apparent in your hair, its origins unknown, and the smile on your face that never seemed to quite reach your eyes no matter how many times you tried to convince (yourself) and the others that it was genuine.
Months passed and all fell back into its routine. Things were looking up for the camp as a whole, and Chiron had been able to take a few steps back in managing thanks to Percy Jackson’s continued efforts to have gods and goddesses interact with their children more.
But those thoughts still took root in your mind, their tendrils digging into the very essence of your psyche as every lonely moment was spent longing for her touch, for her warmth, for the security that she provided once upon a time. In your mind, there was no doubt that it was time to make good on your promise to each other.
You would meet her in the gardens of Elysium and reunite once more.
After your burial, you made your way down to the banks of the River Styx, anxiously clutching the two coins in one hand and your javelin in the other. Your eyes scanned the crowds of souls, all clamoring to Charon, pleading that he take pity on them and take them across without payment.
The wails of the damned, sobs of the innocent, and screams of the guilty all flooded your senses.
Out of the corner of your eye, you spotted a familiar mess of brown curls and sprinted towards them, your footsteps leaving indents on the ash-sand lining the waterline of the Styx.
She was there. Your assumptions had been correct.
As she had died out in the world and had never been given a proper burial, she had joined the crowd that lingered just at the edge of the Styx, taking every chance she had to try and get across.
But now that you were there, she didn’t have to worry about sneaking aboard Charon’s boat. You had enough payment for the both of you to make it across safely, and finally live out the rest of your afterlives like you had promised each other.
It wasn’t until you were naught but a couple dozen feet away that you noticed she was rather busy with something. Or rather, someone. And she was looking at that person like they were the only one in the world right now. Your gut twisted, knowing that was the look that she had given you.
But it wasn’t you she was looking at. It was Silena Beauregard, the daughter of Aphrodite, that Clarisse had spent countless hours reassuring you that she wasn’t just using you as a rebound to get over her death.
She had lied right through her teeth, all with the kindest smile on her face that you could imagine. It was becoming apparent that you were a fool, strung along for the sole purpose of keeping Clarisse’s arms full and warm while she thought of the Beauregard girl.
Every kiss, every moment, every word shared between you two seemed hollow now. They had lost all meaning, all of the sentiment that once made your stomach fill with butterflies.
You skidded to a stop just behind the pair, watching with a heavy heart and tightening in your chest as their lips collided over and over again in a series of passionate kisses, their hands roaming each others’ bodies. Just like she had done with you, countless times prior. They were too wrapped up in each other to notice your presence.
You had always been hers, but she had never been yours.
There wasn’t much emotion left in you besides melancholic resignation, and your gut twisted every time you gripped the two coins in your hand, a reminder that they would never be used for their intended purpose.
You waited there for a moment before tapping on Clarisse’s shoulder, causing her to break away from the kiss and turn to look at you. Surprise filled her features, then guilt. Overwhelming guilt as she realized the situation you had caught her in. Her lips were interlocked with another girl’s just a moment ago, the very same girl that she had reassured was not a problem or factor in your relationship.
Silena stood behind her, her eyes scrutinizing your appearance, taking note of the way you clutched two coins instead of the customary one.
“Love-? What are you doing here?” Clarisse asked, the term of endearment slipping naturally off her tongue as it had countless times in the past. But it no longer held any meaning to you, not when you had just witnessed everything before your very own eyes. You didn’t respond beyond throwing the two coins down at her feet with a knowing look, a silent callback to the promise that the two of you had made. The coins clinked softly as they fell onto the fine ash that lines the shores of the River Styx, falling on top of each other.
Horror filled her features as she realized just exactly what you were doing down in the Underworld, and her eyes fell upon the thin scar that ran just along the jugular vein on your neck.
The one spot she had taught you to go for on an opponent if anything ever threatened your life, and you had used it on yourself to have a chance at forever with her. A chance that had been wasted.
“You- you didn’t-” she began, choking on her own words as tears filled her eyes at the thought of it, and the sight of you, now in front of her, very obviously dead.
“It was for you, ‘Risse, but it seems I really was just a rebound after all.” You spat out, a dangerously bitter edge to your voice as you looked her up and down.
“These,” you gestured to the coins on the ground, “were supposed to be for us, for the promise you made. But I guess I was the one foolish enough to listen to you, to fall for you in the first place.”
“Enjoy your time in Elysium, La Rue, and know that you were the cause of my death. Don’t forget. On the River Styx.”
That last statement was the final nail in her metaphorical coffin. No one made a promise on the infamous river and broke it, not without terrible consequences. Any and all chances of her getting into the paradisal side of the Underworld were dashed in mere moments as the realization dawned on her about the gravity of her mistake.
You bent down and picked up one of the coins on the ground and left without a word, turning on your heel and disappearing back into the crowd of souls before Clarisse could utter another word.
You had left her with two choices by giving her that one coin: to take the coin for herself and cross with Charon with hopes of trying to win you back and leaving the Aphrodite girl in the dust, or giving it to Silena and letting her go because she was clearly the girl the daughter of Ares loved most. Either way, she lost something.
Her last name was right. You rued the day you ever met Clarisse.

arms tonite, clarisse la rue
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: I cry in the afterlife I cry hard because I have died, and you're alive I try to escape afterlife I try hard to get back inside your arms alive VERY loosely based off of this request
warnings: mc death obviously, sad everyone, my lack of knowledge on the battle of manhattan because i read the books 7 years ago
wc: 1.7k
you sit against the ancient tree, the bark rough against your back, a painful reminder of the chaos that unfolded. your fingers clutch your stomach, the pain intensifying with each passing moment, a stark contrast to the distant roars of battle. your chest throbs where the drakon's claws had viciously slashed you moments ago.
the air is thick with tension as you watch your friends and family, armed and determined, engage in the fierce battle of manhattan. the clash of weapons, the echoes of spells, and the monstrous roars resonate through the air, creating a cacophony that drowns the world around you.
your gaze shifts from one familiar face to another, each caught in the chaos of combat. the weight of your injuries pales in comparison to the heaviness in your heart as you realise the magnitude of the conflict. the realisation that more lives are at stake than just your own sends a shiver down your spine.
tears blur your vision as you witness the sacrifices being made for the greater good. the ground beneath you trembles with the resonance of battle, a painful reminder of the fragile line between victory and defeat. you wipe away the tears, a silent vow to honour those who fight alongside you.
despite the searing pain and the exhaustion that threatens to consume you, you summon the strength to stand. your every step is a battle against your own limitations. as you move towards the frontline, determination replaces despair. the stakes are too high, and you refuse to let the sacrifices of those around you be in vain.
with each step, you feel the weight of responsibility on your shoulders. the tree, once a refuge, now seems like an anchor holding you back. but you press forward, driven by a desire to protect the ones you love.
the battlefield unfolds before you like a tapestry of chaos, but you find a rhythm within it. your own pain becomes a fuel, transforming into a relentless determination. you join the fight, your weapon cutting through the air as you face the challenges that threaten your world.
in the midst of battle, you catch glimpses of your friends, their resilience mirroring your own. the scars on your chest throb in sync with the beating heart of the battle, a constant reminder of the price of survival. yet, you fight on, not just for yourself, but for the future of those you hold dear.
the battle of manhattan rages on, a testament to the strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity. and as the dust settles, you stand amidst the fallen, a survivor, a witness to the sacrifices that define the heart of heroes.
locked in the chaos of battle, your eyes meet clarisse's across the tumultuous field. the concern etched on her face speaks volumes, a reflection of the scars left by the loss of silena beauregard. the memory of silena's sacrifice lingers, and clarisse fears history may repeat itself.
summoning every ounce of energy within you, you manage a reassuring smile for clarisse, a silent promise that you'll make it through. the connection between you two transcends the battlefield, a source of strength that fuels your determination.
as you let out a ferocious battle cry, it echoes through the turmoil, a proclamation of defiance against the forces that threaten your world. the resonance of your voice, joined by the battle cries of others, creates a symphony of resistance that shakes the very foundations of the battleground.
with renewed vigour, you charge back into the fray, your weapon slicing through the air as you engage with the enemies that stand before you. clarisse fights by your side, a formidable duo that refuses to be broken by the looming shadows of kronos.
the battlefield becomes a dance of blades and magic, each movement a calculated effort to turn the tides of war. your connection with clarisse strengthens your resolve, and together you weave through the chaos, fighting back the forces of darkness.
clarisse's concern transforms into determination as she witnesses your tenacity. the bond between you becomes a beacon of hope in the midst of despair. silena's sacrifice, though painful, serves as a reminder of the strength that arises from unity and love.
amidst the clash of weapons and the eruption of spells, you and clarisse carve a path forward. the battlefield is a canvas of struggle, but your shared commitment to each other becomes a driving force that propels you through the hardships.
as the battle unfolds, you find moments to lock eyes with clarisse, exchanging silent reassurances that you're still standing, that the darkness hasn't claimed you. the weight of her worry lessens with each shared glance, replaced by a growing confidence in your resilience.
the battle of manhattan rages on, but your bond with clarisse becomes a source of inspiration for those around you. the echoes of your battle cry reverberate through the hearts of allies, spurring them on to face the challenges that lie ahead. together, you fight not just for survival but for a future where love triumphs over the shadows that threaten to engulf the world.
tears stream down your face, mixing with the dirt and blood on your cheeks. the pain radiates through your body, each breath a struggle. clarisse's hands, stained with the battle's residue, continue to apply pressure to the wound, her movements desperate and unyielding.
"sorry," she mutters through her own sobs, her voice breaking with every apology. but despite the pain, you recognised the strength in her touch, the fierce determination to defy the cruel hand fate has dealt.
you wince as her hands press against the wound, the searing pain intensified by the pressure. your breath catches, and you find it harder to form words. finally, you manage to muster the strength to speak, "sto... stop!"
clarisse's hands fall to the side, and she looks at you with a mix of sorrow and regret. you can see the pain in her eyes as she watches you, helpless in the face of impending loss. "stop, please," you manage to whisper, your voice barely audible over the battlefield's cacophony.
she apologises again, her hands cradling your head as if trying to shield you from the cruel reality. you can feel her trembling, the weight of the moment pressing down on both of you. in this shared vulnerability, the world around you seems to fade, leaving only the raw, painful connection between two souls entwined by love and loss.
as the battle continues to rage, clarisse stays by your side, her gaze fixed on your face. the chaos unfolds around you, a stark contrast to the stillness of this intimate, heartbreaking moment. in the hushed pauses between your sobs, you confess the fear that grips your heart, the terror of facing the unknown, of losing everything you hold dear.
"clarisse, i’m scared," you admit, your voice a fragile whisper.
clarisse's eyes well up with tears, but she brushes them away with the back of her hand. "you're not going anywhere," she insists, though the lie hangs heavy in the air, a bittersweet attempt to offer comfort in the face of inevitable tragedy.
the battlefield's rhythm continues, a cruel reminder of life's relentless march forward. you feel the grip of mortality tightening, each breath becoming shallower. clarisse leans in, her forehead touching yours, a final act of closeness in the fleeting moments that remain.
in the quiet between the clashes of war, your final breath escapes you. clarisse's hands still cradle your head, her eyes closed, as if trying to hold onto the fragile threads of your presence. the battlefield's chaos, now distant, becomes the backdrop to a heartbreaking silence.
clarisse stays there, lost in a mix of grief and disbelief. the world around her continues to turn, but in that stillness, she remains with you, holding onto the memory of love and loss amidst the echoes of battle.
clarisse, fueled by the searing pain of your loss, rises from the ground, her eyes reflecting the torment that lingers within. the battlefield, now stained with the blood of the fallen, becomes the canvas upon which she paints her grief and rage. without you to return to, her actions are untethered, reckless in the face of her newfound solitude.
she charges into the fray with a ferocity unmatched, each swing of her weapon cutting through the enemy lines. the air crackles with the energy of her relentless assault, a testament to the storm of emotions that rages within her. clarisse fights not only for victory but to drown out the haunting echoes of your final moments.
as she carves a path through the chaos, a determination burns in her eyes, a fire fueled by the memory of your courage. the world around her blurs, and she becomes a force of nature, unyielding in her pursuit of justice. her every movement is a declaration that your sacrifice will not be in vain.
the battle rages on, and as percy confronts kronos, the culmination of their struggles unfolds. in the aftermath of percy's victory, clarisse stands amidst the wreckage, alive but changed. the victory is bittersweet, and the reality of a world without you sets in.
chris rodriguez, battle-weary and scarred, kneels beside clarisse. he sees the turmoil in her eyes, the weight of a heart burdened with grief and guilt. without a word, he offers her a silent comfort, a presence that understands the scars etched into the soul.
clarisse, attempting to remain stoic, fights against the torrent of emotions threatening to consume her. but as the battlefield falls into an uneasy silence, she crumbles. tears stream down her face, a torrent of pain and regret released in a torrential downpour.
"i couldn't do it," she chokes out between sobs. "the one thing i was born to do, and i couldn't protect them." the realisation of her perceived failure gnaws at her, leaving her vulnerable in the aftermath of the war.
chris, with a gentleness unexpected from a seasoned warrior, places a hand on her shoulder. he understands the depth of her grief, having faced his own demons. in the quiet aftermath, they share a moment of shared sorrow, acknowledging the harsh reality of a world that demands sacrifices, even from those who fight with everything they have.
as the first light of dawn breaks over the battlefield, clarisse rises from her emotional abyss, a survivor forged in the crucible of loss. the scars of battle may fade, but the wounds of the heart linger, a reminder that even in victory, the cost can be immeasurable.
you cried that night. because you died in the arms of your lover, and it couldn't have been more perfect.

Dior Goodjohn x fem!reader
synopsis: You and Dior are long distanced and she decides to surprise you by coming to visit you for your birthday.
warnings: fluff, fluff, and fluff
a/n: this is not my best writing ever i just wanted to get this out while i work on the Summer fic
Tumblr media
You and Dior have been in a long-distance relationship for about a year and a half now. You met on the set of Percy Jackson and instantly clicked; she ended up asking you out two months into filming. After season one wrapped, she went back home to LA, and you returned to your hometown. You haven't seen each other in person since filming wrapped six months ago, because you're still in school. You guys text multiple times a day and FaceTime at least once a day, but it's still hard for both of you. Especially for you since your love language is physical touch, and you just like to have physical connections with people. Your birthday was coming up, so Dior thought it would be an amazing idea if she came and surprised you. She planned it all out with your family; she would fly in on your actual birthday and stay for a month.
Today was finally your birthday. You woke up to look at your phone and found a bunch of birthday wishes from friends, family, and even fans. But none from the person that mattered most to you. You didn't think she would ever forget your birthday. Maybe she just wasn't awake yet, even though it was currently noon, which means it was 9 in LA, and she's always up before 9. But you just decided not to worry about it. You still had the whole day. You were really bummed that she wouldn't be able to come for your birthday, but you understand that she's busy with her music and everything. You got out of bed, took a shower, and got ready for the day. You and your best friend decided to go shopping for your birthday. You visited all your favorite stores, getting all of your birthday freebies. By the time you and your best friend headed home, it was around 4 o’clock, and you've yet to get a message from Dior, which made you visibly disappointed. Your best friend kept seeing you checking your messages every few minutes and finally decided to say something.
“I’m sure she didn't forget; you know her, she's always busy with something.”
“Yeah, I'm pretty sure everyone but her has wished me a happy birthday though. Like even at the mall, those fans who came up to us to say happy birthday, I didn't even know them. And I thought she would be one of the first to say it.”
You finally arrived home and went straight upstairs to put your bags down and take off your shoes. You were home for around 30 minutes when you finally heard the doorbell ring.
“Y/N, someone's here for you,” your mom yelled. You had no clue who it could be; you weren't expecting anyone.
“Coming!” you yelled back to your mom. You hurried down the stairs to the front door, and standing there was Dior with her bags and a gift. She looks just as beautiful as she always does.
“Hey, baby,” she said, smiling.
You had absolutely no idea how to react; you were definitely not expecting this at all. You ran to her and jumped to hug her. As she held and hugged you, you started to tear up.
“I missed you so much.”
“I missed you too.”
“What are you doing here? I thought you weren't able to come.”
“I wanted to surprise you, sweet girl.”
“How long are you staying?”
“For a month.”
“Oh my gosh, no way!”
“Way!”
“OMG, and Mom, you knew about this?”
Your mom just smiled and nodded.
“Yep, and so did your best friend.”
“OMG!! I cannot believe this; I thought you forgot my birthday!”
“I could never forget your birthday, mamas.”
You and Dior share a passionate kiss, the weight of her surprise visit lifting a heavy burden off your shoulders. In that moment, all the worries and doubts melted away, replaced by the warmth of her presence. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The month that followed was a whirlwind of joy and reconnection. Every day felt like a treasure, filled with laughter, adventures, and stolen moments of affection. Whether it was exploring your hometown together, cooking meals side by side, or simply cuddling on the couch watching movies, every second was cherished. On the day of her departure, you stood at the airport, hand in hand, hearts heavy with the weight of impending separation.
"I wish we lived closer," you managed to say, your voice breaking slightly as you fought back tears, the airport's din muffling your words.
Dior's eyes softened, mirroring the sorrow in your own as she squeezed your hand gently. "I know, darling. It's hard saying goodbye every time," she murmured, her voice tinged with empathy.
You leaned into her embrace, seeking solace in the warmth of her presence amidst the impersonal hustle of the airport. "I hate it when you leave," you stated simply, your voice carrying a mix of longing and frustration, the airport's commotion providing a stark backdrop to your heartfelt confession.
Dior's arms wrapped around you, holding you close as if trying to shield you from the pain of separation. "I feel it too, love. It never gets any easier," she whispered, her breath warm against your ear.
Tears welled up in your eyes as you buried your face in her shoulder, the weight of longing settling heavily in your chest. "I just wish we could be together more often," you confessed, your voice barely audible above the noise of the crowd.
Dior's fingers brushed through your hair soothingly, her touch a silent reassurance. "Me too, sweetheart. But no matter the distance, you'll always have my heart," she vowed, her words a promise of enduring love.
And as you stood together in the midst of the bustling airport terminal, surrounded by the chaos of departure, you found solace in the simple act of being together, knowing that no matter where life may take you, your love would always be a constant, guiding light in the darkness.
this is unusually short because I didn't know how to end it

content: daughterofzeus! yn (so she's kinda insane) ooc! luke, clarisse and chris simply because I haven't read the books so, one mention of sex, yn dresses provocatively but no one shames her or anything, thief shaming, age shaming and death threats all from percy lol, I think that's it.
a/n: this is the fifth part, but it's also the first part that has some semblance of a plot so... let me know if you like this writing style or not, also I added Chris, I felt like he was needed to make the group a little bigger. also since this is technically the first official part, every part from now on is gonna have a taglist so ask in the comments if you'd like to be added!

Quest
Luke Castellan x f!reader
Summary: You wake up in the infirmary with a horrifying surprise.
Work Count: 1.6k
TW: Brief memory loss, weapons, mean Luke, broken bones
. .・゜゜・・゜゜・.. ・゚゚・。. .・゜゜・・゜゜・.. ・゚゚・。. .・゜゜・.
When your eyes fluttered open, you were unable to see. Everything around you seemed to be screaming. You pushed your weight onto your elbows as you desperately gaged your surroundings. With your vision blurred you sought for any semblance of familiarity.
Your head was pounding and your arm ached terribly. What in the gods happened? You sifted through your memories, raising your hand to cradle your head when the pain became nearly unbearable.
Footsteps scuffled towards you and your heart rate accelerated. “She’s awake!” A voice called.
You turned your head to the origin of the voice, but with your blurred vision, everything only fused together.
You made out a tuft of blonde curls and you instantly knew you would be safe. The figure made its way to you, placing a delicate blanket across your shoulders. They carried what you assumed was a tray of food.
They called your name and your head tilted up to meet their words. “Will?”
“gods, how are you feeling? Is there anywhere else that hurts?” He asked
You shook your head in confusion, “Will, what are you talking about?”
The Apollo kid furrowed his brows. An expression you couldn’t quite place fell over his features. “You’ve been in the infirmary for an entire night.” He told you.
“What?” You question, as you burrow your fists in the linen sheets to ground you.
“Do you not remember what happened yesterday?”
Your vision cleared as the events from yesterday seemed to piece themselves together.
A single infuriated word flitted from your lips, “Castellan” you growled.
Will gave you a quizzical look, “Oh so you do remember.”
Anger radiated off you. Yesterday Luke Castellan had practically robbed you of your much-deserved glory. He had humiliated and belittled you and in order to spare some semblance of dignity you were forced to break your arm. Yes, you remembered everything.
“Where is that thieving son of Hermes?” You demanded.
Will shook his head in disapproval. He turned back to the tray and returned with a bowl of steaming hot chicken noodle soup. “Is that what happened? Another one of your qualms with Luke? Seriously?”
You shruggled in response, too preoccupied to give Will an answer. You were busy thinking up all the ways you could make Luke suffer.
“You two really need to get over your whole sworn enemies thing and act like grown-ups. It gives me secondhand embarrassment watching you two fight like entitled toddlers.”
You gawked at him, “Will, I’m only seventeen, I’m not a grown-up.”
And at your comment, both of you laughed. Will was one of those guys that everyone was able to get along with. He had this easy going persona complimented by his humor that had him making friends wherever he went.
“You’re legitimately the biggest idiot I know.” He said.
And who were you to deny the truth?
“I wouldn’t exactly disagree,” You replied, an amused smile painted against your lips.
Will didn’t further the conversation, opting instead to spoon-feed you the warm broth. He gave you another drink of ambrosia before deeming that you would live.
“Thank you, Will…I really appreciate all you’re doing for me.”
Will waved his hand, dismissing your gratitude. “You won’t be saying that when I send you the bill.”
You chuckled shaking your head as you made your way out of the infirmary bed, dressing behind a curtain. Will was walking away and you had just finished pulling on your shorts as loud footsteps rang down the hall.
“You still there?” Will’s voice came from behind the curtain barrier. You pulled the fabric to the side as you stepped into the hall. “Uh…yeah”
He audibly sighed. “Good, because apparently, you're going on a quest in three hours.”
“WHAT?” You gasped.
Will cringed at your response, “Yeah, sorry that you had to find out this way but Clarisse got word of a quest from Ares and she chose the two best half-blood warriors to go with her. I’m sure you can guess what I mean by that.”
A million thoughts came crashing down on you. First, you were going to set out on your very first quest. Second, Clarisse saw you as a powerful ally and that could be useful in the future and third, the only other person besides you and Clarisse who would be addressed as “one of the best half-blood warriors” was none other than…Luke Castellan.
You huffed in anger, your fists balling at your sides. It was just your luck, Castellan, the one who had got you into this whole infirmary situation was going to ruin your first-ever quest.
Tyche must have really hated you.
. .・゜゜・・゜゜・.. ・゚゚・。. .・゜゜・・゜゜・.. ・゚゚・。. .・゜゜・.
Less than an hour and a half later you were packed and ready to go. Though you were forced to endure the torturous presence of Castellan, you were determined to not allow him to get to you. This time the stakes were too high and the mission too important.
Well, that was your resolution until you saw his face.
You practically saw red as you lunged forward ready to strangle the Hermes boy. Clarisse had to step in and physically restrain you from tearing Luke limb from limb.
“I’m gonna kill you, Castellan!” You shout, “You’re dead! Do you hear me? You're dead!”
Clarisse set you down fifteen feet from Luke (what she deemed a safe distance to talk some sense into you without you going on a blood-lust rampage for the Hermes boy).
“In the name of Olympus, what in the world is wrong with you?”
You scoffed, “What’s wrong with me? What’s wrong with me? I think you should be asking that question to that thieving piece of-” It was at that moment that you heard Chiron clear his throat, and you shrank back, swallowing your insult.
Luke approached you with an amused grin, hands raised in the air. He was mocking you. Of course he was, you wouldn’t expect anything less from him.
“As soon as I get my hands on you, I’m gonna claw your eyes out, Castellan.” You seeth.
He tsked, tilting his head slightly, “And a good morning to you too, Chaos.”
Your jaw clenched as every fibre in your body told you to beat the boy before you into a pulp.
“Clarisse,” you whine, “please let me separate his stupid face from this hideous body.”
Clarisse shakes her head to tell you “no.”
You sigh, defeated.
Luke curls an arm around your shoulder, “Oh come on, Chaos, don’t you want another chance to win back your glory?”
You hated the boy before you. You hated him and you don’t think you’d mind it one bit if he so happened to fall off a cliff to his impending death. In fact, you think that you might even enjoy the show.
Clarisse rolled her eyes at the both of you, “Enough! You two need to stop this insufferable fighting and start focusing on the quest, because if you two don’t suck it up and start at least tolerating each other, I have absolutely no problem choosing two other skilled half-bloods to replace you.”
At this you and Luke instantly shut your mouths and glanced at each other.
Then it hit you, he wanted this as much as you did.
“Good.” Clarisse said, “Now I want both of you to hug it out and shake hands, promising that you’ll be on your best behaviour for my quest.”
You furrowed your brows, mouth agape. “Hug it out? Clarisse are you serious?”
“Absolutely.” She replied, pointedly.
Luke cocked his head, “You’ve got to be joking. It’s not like we’re five.”
The Ares kid raised her eyebrows in a taunting expression, “Are you sure about that?”
Luke rolled his eyes.
“K, let’s go now, stop tryna be the mediator Clarisse. Chaos and I are not “hugging it out” like pre-schoolers.” He spoke, a hint of annoyance coating his tone.
“Um sorry to break it to you buddy, but if you two wanna come on this quest with me then you better start doing as I say.”
Clarisse was defiantly being manipulative. She was the one who picked the two of you and now she was placing all these conditions on your shoulders.
After a minute of silence, Luke consented, rolling his eyes again. “Come here my sweet little, Chaos.” He said in an exaggerated voice like he was talking to a baby.
You glared at Clarisse, before trudging over to Luke, who wrapped his arms securely behind your neck, burying you into his chest. When you didn’t reciprocate he brought his lips to hover over your ear, “Chaos, you gotta at least pretend to like me, or else big scary Clarisse here is gonna send you back, and I know you don’t want that, do you?” His whispers sent shivers down your shoulders and eventually, (after a harsh glare from Clarisse) you conseeded and wrapped your arms around Luke’s waist.
His head practically nuzzled your hair and you could’ve sworn you heard him sigh in contentment.
To emphasize how much you two would get along Luke slowly began rocking side to side while continuing to keep his hold on you.
Clarisse smiled in approval.
You stood on your tippy toes and even then you barely reached his ear, “Luke,” you whispered.
“Yes, Chaos?” He asked gently.
“I still hate you.” And with that, you pushed him back. He stumbled a little before quickly regaining his footing.
“I wouldn’t expect any less.” He mumbled under his breath.
As you ran to catch up with Clarisse, Luke stood still, because whatever happened he knew that this quest was going to challenge him beyond belief.

My roman empire is the little one liners Uncle rick includes in his books that always have the saddest subtexts 😭
Will solace, mindlessly wrapping and unrapping a bandage around his wrist, just weeks after around 5 of his siblings died in the manhattan war (the lost hero)
Clarisse la rue, flinching at her father threatening to hit her, knowing he couldn't have done that before due to the Gods can't contact their kids rule, and being a year round camper, it makes sense why Ares was so attracted to her mother in the first place (sea of monsters)
Thalia Grace, holding onto any proof that her baby brother jason existed, and placing those Polaroids in her cabin because she's the last person alive able to honour his memory (the lost hero)
I have more but these are the ones that make me the saddest (and yes im planning on writing something about them, oneshot collection of very angsty character analysis' anyone? Just me? Okay.)

synopsis: When clarisse begins to notice you spending your time with a certain new camper, strange anger starts to bubble inside her.
authors note: Ahhh! finally… clarisse! I absolutely adore miss la rue and am so excited to see dior play her quest in season two of the series! also.. part two of this fic, maybe?
Tumblr media
jealousy.
it was known as an ugly emotion- something that changed perspectives, ruined relationships.
when clarisse thought of jealousy— she thought of someone’s boyfriend who was envious of the fact his lover was interacting with another boy too much— or she was spending ‘too much time’ with her friends— Clarisse thought it was utterly stupid, being jealous about who someone spends their time with? She could laugh in their face. Her ego was too big for her to even think about her dating someone, let alone getting jealous.
She watched her friends become jealous about their boyfriends, saying how ‘he spends too much time with her”. or something pathetic like that. Honestly, clarisse pittied her friends who felt that way- how much self confidence do you lack in order to be envious about who your partner talks to? not her, her self esteem was out of the roof, each step she took shook the earth.
not to mention the fact there was you. Clarisse’s right hand, her closest ally, dare she say her best friend— you drew her in like a moth to a flame the moment her dark chocolate eyes landed on your face, confused and worried about the place you were supposed to fit into; Camp Halfblood.
You’ve been close with the daughter of ares for years now, finding your place in the palm of her hand. You two were the definition of ‘opposites attract.’ You were one of the many daughters of Aphrodite, beautiful and sweet just like your mother— The goddess of love.
Clarisse knew people would fall to their knees for you, and that is why she took such pride in having you as a close ally. Not only were you an attractive girl, you could definitely put up a fight, and she loved your battles that would take place between the two of you in the wooden forest of the camps boundaries.
the curly haired girl would rather kill herself than admit to the desperate pounding of her heart and heat that tickled her face upon you being just as much as in her proximity. The feelings that slowly but surely edged their way into her metal heart began slow, uneasy. The pitter patter of her hearts blood vessels thumping hardly against her chest like rain drops to a metal shield, loud and heavy. The warmth that kissed her cheeks softly started as a blame for the warmth of summer, tossing it off as a flush from the heat.
clarisse had never had a reason to be jealous- not of her friends, not of her siblings, not of anyone. Except jealousy seems to be the only emotion she’s been feeling since the arrival of the new camper, Percy Jackson.
Percy came to camp beside grover, late on a stormy night— whispers of him slaying a minotaur were quickly spread around camp as he got his beauty rest in Mr D’s healing lodge, where he was unconscious for a few days with grover by his side, watching closely.
Clarisse has instantly denied the rumor, although she’s never met the boy— killing a monster before spending your very first night at camp let alone without any training at all? Most of the kids at camp half blood had waited most of their lives to fight and kill a monster, so why had he done it so easily? the situation itself was annoying her to the core— not to mention the fact that she she was angry to see how much you seemed to be amazed by the rumor, asking about the boy and even having the audacity to ask if he was okay. Rage bubbled in her chest at your curiosity, but she shoved it down and said it was all a lie, and that you needn’t worry about such a petty, little liar such as the so called Percy jackson.
Even though you had doubts, curiosity was still in your nature. In all honesty, you pitied the boy even though you hadn’t even met him. Not because of the fact he most likely did slay a minotaur, but the fact that after something like that spread so quickly while he was regaining his days worth of much needed rest— when he awoke, he was due to get some unkind comments and unfaithful glares from campers such as clarisse herself. You knew how hard it could be to find friends in a new place, especially when you discover you weren’t only human, but the blood of a god ran through your body.
so being the kind person you were, you tired to gather as much positive information from the suspicious campers about the boy that you could, not understanding why clarisse was glaring so heavily at you from across the room. You’d thought maybe it was because your curiosity meant you actually believed the so called ‘fake rumors’, or because you’ve been spending just a little less time with her.
Either way, you were only wondering.
The day Percy Jackson awoke, you were chewing some grapes at the wooden tables in the camps dining area, watching clarisse spar with her spear in order to prepare for this week’s camp halfblood’s annual capture the flag tournament, something clarisse looked forward to and took great pride in, having won many times before.
You watched with precise eyes, locking on to every muscle that flexed on her toned arms, the the hair on her head that seems to be extra beautiful each day— to the single sweat drop that fell down her forehead. popping another grape into your mouth— you felt a tap to your shoulder, tearing your eyes from the sparing daughter of ares to the person behind you— Luke Castellan.
You’ve known Luke for some time, he was one of the kind people to welcome you to camp halfblood, and you’ve always been on good terms with the friendly boy.
you smiled, awaiting his words. “Percy jackson woke up, I know you’ve been asking around for him. He’s staying in hermes cabin, come stop by.” Luke offered, and you finished chewing and swallowed your grape, smile more wide. “I’d love to! Can we go now? or is he sleeping? I’ve been sitting here for hours,” You laugh, motioning to clarisse who was continuing to slam her spear into someone’s shield. Luke grinned, turning away and waving you over. unaware of the glaring, dark chocolate eyes that followed your form with anger indescribable by any words, You followed after the boy, chittering along the path back to his and his siblings cabin— which also hosted unclaimed children.
When you both made it back, You saw percy was still sleeping, cautiously walking into the room even though the other campers were wide awake and moving around.
Suddenly, he jumped awake, a gasp leaving his mouth. Luke stepped forward, “You okay?”
“Super,” the curly blonde boy replied, removing his sleeping bag cover from his body. “we all have them, you know. intense, reoccurring nightmares. That’s normal here.” You watched as the newest camper rose from his sheets on the floor, walking towards Luke, who now stood a few feet ahead of you, leaving you beside some of his half siblings.
“daydreaming, ADHD, and dyslexia. demigods just… process reality differently than humans do.” Percy had a confused look on his pale skinned face, blue eyes staring into nothing but thought at Luke’s words.
“for the first time in your life, you’re just like everyone else.”
percy stood for a minute, seemingly debating his words before deciding to speak up, stuttering as he asked; “so are you also.. do you not know who—“
“am i unclaimed?” luke asked for him, to which percy nodded. “Hermes is my father.” You saw the twitch in his brow at the name of his dad, you knew how much he despised him. “That doesn’t matter— we’re all on the same team here.”
The two continued to talk, Percy asking genuinely good questions, and you peaked outside to see what people were doing in preparation for Capture the flag. your attention was pulled back when luke once again tapped your shoulder, pulling you from your thought. You turned to meet Percy’s blue eyes, curiosity swarming in them.
“This is Y/n, daughter of Aphrodite. She’s been wanting to meet you. The rumors spreading are pretty interesting.” You smiled at luke’s introduction, sticking out your hand. The boy gingerly took it, smiling at you shyly. “It’s nice to meet you, i’ve heard a lot.” you shake his hand quickly, only stopping when Luke took your hand off his. “Let’s show him around, yeah?” You nodded, a continuous smile on your face as you three walked outside the doors of cabin 11.
“Demigods have always fought for glory,” Luke explained, looking to you to add on. “They used to call it Kleos. it’s like this stuff that attaches itself to your name.” You added— “Yeah, it makes it seem bigger, scarier, more important.” luke continued.
“people listen closer when you talk,” you three took a turn, Percy beside you to the left, Luke beside you to the right. “they work harder to be your friend.”
“and they think twice about messing with you.” As if on cue, clarisse came from nowhere— slamming her shoulder into percy, who expressed surprise— “hey!” he yelped, of to which clarisse turned her head, pushing against his chest and easily shoving him to the floor.
“woah,” luke says, watching the uncounted.
“clarisse!” you gasp,
“knock it off, clarisse. it’s his first day, come on.” luke commented, stepping between you and her.
“are you okay, percy?” You ask, bending down and quickly helping the boy up as clarisse furrows her brows. “Wait, so this is the kid who killed the minotaur. is that right?” Her tone was cocky, you furrowed your own brows at her attitude, still holding percy’s arm even as he stood on his own. “yeah..” he looked around at her words.
“i’ll bet.” Her tone was venomous, you frown upon her voice. “look, you want attention around here, dummy? better be ready for it when it comes.” she jumped at him slightly, scaring the boy.
You sigh at her actions, noticing her eyes quickly flicker between the hand you had on the boys arm before her gaze locked with yours, an upset look upon her face as she turned on her heal and walked off.
“she seems nice.” Percy sigh out, pursing his lips. You laugh, awkwardly. “I’m sorry on behalf of her, she can be like that.” You nod, taking your hand off the newcomers arm and watching Luke step forward to stand beside you. “Ares kids. Don’t mess with them. only y/n can do that.” You elbowed Luke’s arm as your face heated up in embarrassment, huffing at the boy. “what do you mean?”
Luke smirked, well aware of the tension between you and clarisse. “I mean— Y/n is the only person in this whole camp who clarisse respects. So, better be nice to her, just in case.” You scoff, “that is not true, Percy. Just… be nice, and don’t treat her how she treats you. She’s working on it.” You smile, continuing forward with the tour of the camp— once more unaware of the fiery brown eyes glaring deadly daggers at Percy Jackson.
clarisse had never felt the putrid, soul turning, gut wrenching jealousy that she had been experiencing for the past several hours. At the very beginning of it, she had crossed it as anger, anger at the fact that today, on Friday— you’ve spent barely any time with her.
You knew how much of a passion Capture the Flag was to clarisse, and yet you decided to spend every hour of the day away from her except the hour before the tournament. Clarisse almost growled when she saw you approaching beside Luke and Percy, chatting away with a smile on your face. A smile that should be reserved for her, and only her.
The daughter of ares had been biting down so hard on her cheek, she hadn’t realized she’d been doing so until the unfamiliar metallic taste of blood filled her mouth, groaning as she looked away; spitting the blood filled saliva that tickled her throat.
but, her eyes wasted no time in flickering back to you.
That day forward, was the absolute worst. Not only had percy won on his first try, He broke something so dear to clarisse. One of her three spears given to her by her father, Ares. She’d fought the urge to fight the boy fist to fist and see how he’d handle the slam of her knuckle to his puny freckled face— but gave up hope when she saw you emerge from the words at her scream.
The look on your face was pure worry, litters of fear swarmed in your pupils at the sound of clarisse’s loud yell, but they turned to surprise as a Trident crafted from water sat upon the air above Percy Jackson, claiming who his father was;
Poseidon, God of the Sea.
To clarisse, who his father was meant nothing to her, she could not care less- but the look on your face made her want to strangle both Percy and his father.
Clarisse was fuming as she stood from the ground, her aura terrifying to even the birds in the trees, her steps booming. She passed you with a harsh shove to the shoulder, clenching her jaw so hard the bone might snap, yet she payed little mind to it as Percy was generously rewarded for his win.
You followed after her quickly, knowing her thought pattern when she lost something— which was not a common occurrence. “clarisse,” you called out to deaf ears, campers flooding away from the fuming girl as she tore her way through camp, leaving red hot lava steps in her wake.
When she reached her cabin, she whipped open the door so fast, it almost flew off the hinges, beginning to slam it behind her before you caught it.
The brown haired girl was pacing with pure rage, shoulders raised, fists clenched and body shaking. You knew she wouldn’t cry, but she was so upset you thought her body might have a clinical reaction.
“clarisse..” you whispered, nervous of her reply. Her eyes snapped to you, jaw tightening.
You felt a tinge of fear as she stomped over to you— “You knew! You knew he would win and you helped him!” She yelled at you, using her hands to motion back to the battlefield. “You were supposed to be on my team! He wasn’t supposed to win!” She screamed in your face, deep voice breaking with frustration as her eyes bore into yours, anger the only emotion present in them.
You harrowed your eyebrows, clenching you own jaw as she berated you- causing your bottom lip to stick out. Clarisse had never screamed at you like this before, So loudly it bounced off the walls ten times louder.
“You spent all day with him, too! is he your new best friend? Huh?!” she backed up, “do you like, have a crush on him now or something?” her demeanor changed rapidly as she laughed, voice laced with fury as she looked down upon you. “right. perfect little son of Poseidon. gods, you would, wouldn’t you?” Her anger bubbled to something.. different, and you stood bewildered by her words.
“You are so pathetic, Y/n. you know that? I mean, your mother isn’t even a warrior, and everyone knows she is only liked because she is pretty. And I see that’s something you inherited, hm? where are all your friends now?” Her words cut deep, pricking tears at the corners of your eyes as she smiled sadistically at you, your bottom lip wobbling, to your embarrassment.
“No wonder you only are around me. I’m the only one who listens to your stupid rambles and dumb thoughts, and i only do it to spare the others. It’s no surprise your mother adores you, You’ll be just like her when you grow older, just a toy for other people use, right?” Clarisse was so caught up in spewing any insults she could muster out about about you, she failed to notice how your eyes were watery and face was rosy— not until you cried.
Clarisse had only see you cry once, when a boy made fun of your hair when you were small. She beat him up, swearing that if anyone ever made you cry she’d hurt them. But now, she was the one making you cry, Unable to stop her cruel words from slipping from her mouth even as thick tears rolled down your cheeks, and not as you turned away and left her cabin, not even slamming the door.
The moment you were gone from her sight, Guilt ate her alive. Pure regret at her words, she screamed into the air, pulling her hair and kicking chairs and bags littered around Ares children’s cabin, breaking glasses and throwing items, messing up beds and destroying unimportant belongings.
she threw her sheets off her bed, tossing them to the floor in anger at herself— eyes catching sight of something unfamiliar. A box.
It was small and square, flower design littering the outside. It read ‘To: Clarisse, From: y/n’
the girl sigh at the smiley face you put down beside her name, calloused finger brushing against it as she opened the box- revealing the contents.
It was your homemade baklava. You knew clarisse adored your recipe, and you’d make it for her as often as you could- as it took time.
fear swelled in her heart at the thought of losing you, especially after what she’d just done. Regret has never been so outrageous, and she put down the box you’ve left for her.
You weren’t spending all day with Luke and Percy, you spent your time making this for her.
“Fuck.”
