i fucking love people here you guys see this dinnerplate-faced daycare animatronic and go "what if they were detectives" and you make all this amazing astounding art and writing and concepts and designs like yeah . sure . im going to be normal abt this and im not going to think about the incredible levels of creativity involved im not gointg to think about how much i love seeing beginner artists using the dca as a way to learn new skills in art and character design Im not going to think about how much joy is in all those AUs and how much artists and writers put aspects of whatever they enjoy in those stupid ass clowns to make these incredible inspired stories and artworks absolutely Brimming with love for what they created &how much i love seeing people in the community huddling around those AUs and hyping them up and making More Art from those yeah im normal. whatever

Frank! fantasy flavor!

i really wanted to blend that monk-class inspiration w/ Frank's personal vibe... i like to think that i Succeeded!

i turned his tie into a sort of brooch since, yk. bowties aren't all that Fantastical. they miss the style. also i think they'd be more comfortable with something smaller since he's very active and needs a wide range of maneuverability

i bet Eddie or someone wheedled them into adding the leather shoulder pauldrons - leather to keep it a bit more flexy, and also. it just looks Cool!

figuring out what would replace his vest was tough. i didn't want them to be entirely unprotected, but i couldn't give him straight armor. though i will admit! a sort of tight-fitting crop top was Considered! but i landed on a gambeson vest as the best fit - comfortable, flexible, a Vest, while providing some level of protection! also, gambesons are quilted, which fits Frank's diamond-checkered vest!

ive already mentioned that one of my favorite outfit things is Flowy Pants Tucked Into Boots, so... that choice wasn't very character driven. except the boots are a tall ankle wrap - for that extra stability and strength! their shoes are pretty flexible and are only a few steps away from being slippers.

and the half-skirt - open skirt? - thing (still don't know what its called) is purely some self indulgence. i think Frank looks great in skirts!! also imagining him Throwing Down w/ the added flair of the skirt... damn. it'd probably help confuse enemies too - what're they gonna do next? who knows! the skirt is in the way and adding extra Movement!

i like to think that his knife is either in a sheath attached to the back of the belt, or they have it on their thigh (under the skirt) like Wally's bag. he probably never uses it... punching is the way to go for Frank methinks. it's probably reserved for cutting ropes and fruit

speaking of punching.... wrist wraps! inspired by boxing gauze! pads his knuckles, keeps his wrist compressed, its the best choice for physical combat. though the wrapped knuckles probably always have blood showing through anyway... or no yeah it's mostly other people's blood...

as for scars - Frank probably has quite the collection! i imagine that they've been picking fights since a young age, and in such a dangerous world he probably got hit a Lot until they learned how to hit back. and hit back Well. still, i wanted to give him a cool face scar with a very lame backstory - a book with a crisp, sharp spine corner fell off a high shelf and bonked them in the face at juuuust the right angle <3 he probably stays very fucking quiet about it which makes everyone think there's some intense traumatic backstory behind it. there isn't. Frank's just embarrassed.

I have conflicted feelings about the FNAF series in general, but seeing a movie where practical animatronic puppets are the primary focus of the film becoming not only financially successful but also well received by general audiences is pretty damn neat.

ok so basically, ive always like the idea of "what of instead of Squeaky Steven had fused with Mr Cheese" so did it!

this AU occurs after Dr. Wordgirl brains, basically 2B was trying to get spare pieces from the swap ray when conveniently Mr cheese broke into his lair, conveniently again he shoot the ray at him. Now the thing; he didnt swaped mind with Cheese, SQUEAKY DID

by doing so, not only did 2Bs got less vicious and feral, less craving of cheese and more civil, but also colder and more dangerous, getting himself a whole criminal gang and going on less bombastic and spectacular robberies and crimes, and becoming more coldblooded and dangerous as a criminal

basically the AU goes on over how he goes worse and worse while Wordgirl, Squeaky and even the Henchmen need to do detective work in order to bring him back to normal, since he's become more evasive

(yes this is inspired in The Great Mouse Detective and thats why Maria is a big kittycat and also 2Bs lowkey pet/killing machine, but like, let me be lol. Might change stuff in order to differentiate it and not to make it just mouse detective but Wordgirl, idk)

only hua cheng can eat/ tolerate xie lian's cooking.

but what if this was because he lost his sense of taste when he was alive?

he can only feel textures/ very strong flavours, and xie lian's cooking is the only thing that allows him to taste.

loss of taste can occur from (limited to only to what hua cheng would've potentially experienced while alive): head/ ear injuries, the common cold/ illnesses, poor nutrition and stress/ anxiety/ depression (though this impairs taste, not causes loss, and is rather rare).

though loss of taste may not be permanent, perhaps he'd hadn't gotten rid of it when he died, and this followed him into his ghosthood.

since basic human necessities does not impede him after death, there is no reason for hua cheng to eat. so he probably doesn't eat anything until xie lian offers him something.

thus, xie lian's food would be the first meal in centuries - and possibly since his childhood - that hua cheng could taste due to it's strong and unorthodox taste. he finally gets to experience what salty, spicy, sweet and bitter tastes like again through xie lian's cooking. when xie lian finds out, he promises to cook for hua cheng whenever he wants.

after dubious amounts of salt, chilli peppers, sugar, etc, they realise hua cheng has quite the sweet tooth, and xie lian finds that incredibly endearing. he takes the time to learn how to make deserts (with at least 10 times the amount of sugar than the recipe calls for), and has a new weapon to deal with fengqing's quarrels.
