I was going to share more lore/beasties I swear but I needed another hit of drawing them sleeping to get me through this work week.

Uncropped version is below the cut. Every time I tried to ‘censor’ it, it ended up looking more suggestive than it actually is :T

Kraw would probably have better luck just jumping into the ocean to beat the heat.

I want to learn needle felting and then I want to make my characters into little fuzzy 3d models

Is kraw that buff naturally or does he work out 👀

While he is naturally pretty hefty some of it includes day to day stuff he does. He has to find some ridiculous ways to work out on purpose though with him being so big already. He could probably launch a skiff off the decks like it’s a paper airplane if I’m being honest. Some locals theorize that he seems to have a ‘supernatural’ strength to him, but it’s hard to say for sure.

He used to work out pretty rigorously in his younger years. He wouldn’t have admitted to it but he was usually in competition with Titus (his brother). Mayv also wanted him to stay pretty fit for hunting.

Some randoms details about Kraw’s *business side* mermaid hunting methods no one asked for.

I still don’t feel comfortable with his whole trawler design yet (I’m not a boat engineer but my busted ego berates me nonetheless for not easily designing one) but hey, this is something right?

Fathom Stars are mainly used by hunters who do light, focused catches. Mermaids of course go for more, especially depending on the contents of their stomachs or how rare they are. Only the big game for the experienced hunter.

Where Kraw is mostly the big guy who keeps the hostile merms away and discourages greedy fishermen from Marrowtide, he’s also the only mermaid hunter they have. He brings in the expensive game when he goes on runs to the rim of Hellmouth, where other fishermen tend to avoid. (I’m working on naming zones and fishermen levels, like a license distribution system for hunting or something idk)

Kraw’s lucky in that he doesn’t need the typical 4 or 5 other crew members it usually takes to lift a fathom star onto a powerblock. He just carries it like a damn christmas tree.

I’ll probably post more about them later when I get the motivation. I’d like to show the more ornate ones I’ve designed as well as other less ‘unconventional’ ways they’re used. They can come in different sizes of course but where Kraw’s trawler is a bit smaller he just uses the standard.
