Something something the way the bones/ashes of a ghost in TGCF work as a totem of love, bc they're literally the anchor of the soul on the mortal realm. Something something Palamedes trusting Camilla to take care of his remains in case he died, so he could come back, trusting her with his soul. Something something Camilla defending ferociously what little she could kept of him near her heart, lamenting she couldn't find the rest, keeping faith to the end.
This is a ghost love story. You could say the way remains and ghosts link is everywhere all over the world, but the specific way theyre a token of love in TGCF reminds me awfully of Camilla and Palamedes whole situation.
Hua Cheng says that if his ashes were destroyed (bc he knows xl enough to know it'd be only when xl is permanently dead and gone himself) (bc if xl doenst want him to remain in this world he won't...) it'd be OK. His soul, his very being on the hands of his beloved. The year of waiting by XL at the end, trusting HC will find his way home to him. Brr.

because i’m arguing with my husband about this, order of heights for main characters in gtn as i see them from short to tall:
harrow, dulcinea, camilla, gideon, naberius, palamedes, ianthe, coronabeth
canonically, harrow is shorter than gideon who is shorter than pal who is described as tall but still half a head shorter than coronabeth. corona and ianthe are technically the same height, but between general necro demeanor/poor posture and corona’s outgoing personality/hair volume, corona comes off as taller.

Thoughts about this year's Halloween event 👀
I'm kinda sad we won't be getting a GloMas part 2 for the rest of the cast, BUT I'm also excited for the new one and new characters!!
HONEST JOHN AND GIDEON 👀 DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS 😩😩 FOXBOY AND CATBOY, MORE BEASTMEN CHARAS FINALLY (no one is immune to a mischievous fox boy)
And if they're here, that means the event is going to be Pinocchio inspired!! (at least we hope so 😳) like how Rollo was last year's guest character and surely, GloMas was very much inspired in The Hunchback of Notredame which is where Rollo's respective villain is from...
So assuming it will be a pinocchio event, the boys will most likely go to a twst version of Tuscany, Italy (where pinocchio's story takes place in) and my hunch is that, much like in Glorious Masquerade, there will be some kind of touristic festival happening. And that festival will be a carnival based on Pleasure Island 👀
By here you can pretty much guess what the conflict will be... The place will either be cursed or casted with magic to make the guests turn into donkeys, throwing everyone in a pit of panic and our boys will have to stop it 😫
It's highkey likely that the cards for the event will be the rest of the boys who didn't appear in GloMas, so: Ace, Cater, Trey, Leona, Jack, Jade, Floyd, Kalim, Vil, Ortho and Lilia.
My hunch is that the three SSRs will be Ortho, Ace and Kalim. The reasons are:
Ortho ➜ An obvious choice, he'll be pretty much the Pinocchio for this event. If people will be magically turning into donkeys, he's most likely to be immune to it since he's a robot, making him the protagonist who will save the day. He also was only a R card in Endless Halloween, so the possibility of his card being of a higher rarity such as SSR is very high!
Ace ➜ Ngl my main reasoning is that his last event SSR was over 3 YEARS AGO, he's due to have another one any time soon 😫 also, some people pointed out that he's similar to Lampwick, Pinocchio's human friend who got turned into a donkey. They are both red-haired and have a rambatious and careless attitude, so it fits just right!
Kalim ➜ I'm not so sure about him as I am with Ortho and Ace, but like Ortho, he was only an R card in the first halloween event, so his chances of being SSR is higher. Story wise, I was thinking; his naiveteness/innocence kinda resembles Pinocchio's. If twst Honest John will appear, he definitelly will try to deceive someone, but most of the boys are too cunning and untrusting to be tricked that easily. Kalim is the most likely to trust him and be deceived. So just like Ortho, he also somewhat plays the role of Pinocchio.
Lastly, I was thinking that the types of outfits they'll be wearing will be circus/carnival inspired, much like in a Noah's Arc Circus aesthetic, which is an arc from Kuroshitsuji, Yana Toboso's other work!
I think the outfits will have this sorta vibe! I absolutely ADORE creepy/dark carnival/circus aesthetics so I'm hoping that's the case since it's perfect for a halloween event 😳

it seems like pets aren’t really a thing in the houses, but what pets would you give the tlt charas if they had them (obv nona gets every puppy ever)

gideon: pet rock. she would also have a dog but shes a pretty mid dog owner- she loves that puppy to pieces and feeds it stuff off her own plate but its very reactive and she doesnt mind. "he doesnt bite" yes he does
harrow: snake. i can also see her having spiders but its less about owning pets with the 'creep' factor and more on having something reasonably low-maintenance with attention-giving, and also she likes seeing them eat stuff. in my dog au she has a really pathetic runt black lab that loves her to pieces and it forces harrow to go outside and receive affection and its adorable to me
pal & cam: in dog au they have a whippet named artemis and a greyhound named apollo respectively. they have such trembling lame skinny ass dogs but they have an Aesthetic about it. outside of dog au i do see palamedes as a (tentative) cat person! cam is neutral on animals
coronabeth would have an exotic pet :( sad but i know it. shes rich and thinks she would be special enough to properly handle one
isaac and jeannemary want a big dog so fucking bad but instead the fifth got them a goat. they still think its cool
dulcinea would be allergic to the dander dogs/cats have so i have multiple ideas 1. also snake. (sorry i have been watching too many snake videos) 2. sphinx cat 3. not really a pet but she would really like terrariums

ok so a few days back i saw a post saying that the best way to adapt tlt would be as a video game and i sure do wish i could find the post cause i just scrolled at the time but now i Can’t Stop Thinking About It.
imagine the absolute nonsense that could happen in a choices-based, story-focused game with some fun fight mechanics added in for a moment. imagine playing through GtN and getting options like >LOOK FOR CLUES TO LYCTORHOOD directly next to >GO FIND HOT SEVENTH HOUSE NECRO and if you choose the first option you get text like “You wander through the halls of Canaan House. It’s big and maze-like. You eventually stumble on an old abandoned Training Room and decide to stay there a while and use the pull-up bar. You completely forget about Lyctorhood.” imagine the list of dialogue options that could happen once the player breaks gideon’s oath of silence. imagine the duel with babs in video game format. imagine a GAME OVER screen popping up during the avulsion trial and then getting replaced by JUST KIDDING. YOU LIVED, SOMEHOW. imagine gideon grumbling and sassing the player every time they have her make a choice of any kind, regardless of whether that choice lines up with canon. like you can choose >GIVE HARROW A HUG or >CALL HARROW A MEAN NAME and if you pick the first one you get “What the fuck? Hug Harrow? Fine, whatever. Gross.” and if you pick the other you get “Yeah, let’s do it-- although, honestly, we just kind of kicked major ass together, and like, you’re sort of a huge dick, you know that?” just imagine gideon as a video game protagonist for a second.
imagine her going full chara undertale at the end. imagine going through the same fight a million times and it’s impossibly hard and no strategy seems to work and you’ve lost over and over but you eventually hit the landmark point of “harrow makes her wall” and then she suggests her idea of “just survive the fall into the water and i’ll stay here,” prompting the choice screen of >ACCEPT HARROW’S PLAN or >DO NOT. imagine choosing option A results in “Hey, you? Asshole who’s been trying to control me this whole time? Yeah, fuck you. That’s a stupid plan, and you’re stupid.” and it prompts exactly the same final scene no matter what.
alternatively, imagine playing GtN from harrow’s perspective and it goes exactly the opposite way in terms of how she influences the player’s choices. it has choices like >SHOW GRIDDLE DOOR MAP, >TELL GRIDDLE TO GO FUCK HERSELF, and >TRY TO FIGHT GRIDDLE, and harrow expresses open and clear interest in the latter two choices, sometimes going as far as trying to force the player to choose them, but it never works because only the first one will progress the game. imagine partaking in the same “put skeletons in the response” chamber strategy a bunch of times, with the flavor text changing ever so subtly to reflect that she’s losing energy, and eventually the option of >GO TALK TO GRIDDLE shows up but trying to click it results in her saying “Don’t be ridiculous” or “I would sooner rip out my own spine” and so your only option as a player is to just keep spawning skeletons until you pass out. and she still keeps offering a million non-griddle-assisted options and you can try to choose them and she’ll thank you for it in a very “well, obviously, that’s the correct option” sort of way, but they always dead-end.
eventually, her desires start lining up with the “right” choices. you get options like >LIE ABOUT THE CRECHE FLU or >TELL GIDEON EVERYTHING and picking the former results in open disdain from harrow and doesn’t move the game forward. imagine the game spends a little bit in perfect sync with her choices. and then, of course, it doesn’t. and there’s a screen in cyth’s fight right as gideon is in the middle of falling forward that allows you to reset to another point in the fight so you can make a different choice. imagine making every single possible choice in the entire fight looking for some kind of secret ending that simply doesn’t exist.

I'm genuinely so obsessed with your sun of alcoritrés OC verse….. its so fascinating to me and i Love your drawing with the dragon & rider gear diagram it's so well thought-out!! The whole setting and the people seem so interesting i need to know More…….. do you have Information about the characters im obsessed
thank you!!! :^D its pretty new so its kind of underdeveloped but the main charas of the universe rn (and basically the only ones i have. like i said its new) are like
DRAGON INSTITUTE CONTEXT: unnamed officially as of right now but there is a thus-called Institute where several of the characters were born and raised as dragon riders. its very militarized and reminiscent of the irl (US) air force - riders are psychically bonded to their dragons from birth and use that link to communicate with them midair.
Farah "Spaceman" Al-Basri Glorymorn and her dragon Maiseylith - he's a Lockheed, built for high-altitude flights, hence the origin of the 'spaceman' callsign - are kind of the main pov characters of the universe? she's about 30-31, so a good handful of years younger than the other two i'm about to list, and hence she was in an age class underneath them in the institute and was around to learn about their short-lived War Hero Exploits and kind of revere/idolize both of them (well, not collar, but i'll get to that) as a result. since she is new i do not have an Entirely formed personality for her on the ground Yet but she's a bit of a smartass, kind enough but not very social/often the odd one out, is introduced as somewhat of an everyman, she's comparatively new to this whole active combat thing and wants to do good by her new boss:
Richas "Goldie" Auberon and his dragon [NOT NAMED YET FORGIVE ME] are the quintessential Golden Boy (hence the callsign) War Heros of the story at first. his moniker before i named him properly was 'heroguy' if that tells you anything about his narrative place. he's kind of a doomed-by-the-narrative servant of the war machine, but he does Eventually learn to be a better person. eventually. it takes a while. to the local public he's kind of a celebrity captain america type though. on the surface he's kind of the typical male video game protag emotionally constipated Man Guy archetype, but he's also just genuinely kind of a dick underneath it. he gets better though i promise. he used to have a vicious but one-sided childhood class rivalry with:
A. L. "Collar" Iscariot and her dragon Beowulf, deeply stoic and caustic, callsign named for the collar of scars around her neck - previous to the injuries she was called 'duck' because she cut it too close to the ground during training one too many times and they never let her live it down. farah is her "replacement", which is to say, farah is richas' right hand man, which is the place collar used to (bitterly and unwillingly; she did not like richas and did not want to be associated with him) have before she publicly deserted the Institute and left to, for her own reasons, follow:
Sinclair De Vautour and his dragon the Queen of Spades - a nighthawk, built for stealth: he was not raised in the institute, and bonded to QoS after he rescued her from a illegal trafficking/dragonfighting operation where she was in line for the ring. This was not an act of goodwill. He needed a weapon. (He did quickly grow to like QoS, though.) he is very much the Goth Evil Overlord kind of archetype: this is still in development but i think on paper he runs some kind of wide-scale company as a front for his operations; collar is his loyal second-in-command, there with him since (almost) the beginning. he is an orphan, though his dragonfire scars were given to him later on. he was forced to cannibalize his family to survive the event that killed them. he is generally very unforgiving and cruel. i would say he and collar almost have kind of a harrow/gideon dynamic going on if they were middle aged bitches instead of in their late teens and also were not in love with each other. and if gideon was a heartless cunt and 200x less goofy in nature. this makes no sense but you gotta trust me on it man
there is also "Lovelace", real name unknown, who is sinclair's... uh... side piece? literally do not know how else to explain it. he hired her under the guise of being his girltoy but she's actually there to do insane hacker work for him. whether they also have sex or not is irrelevant. she is wanted by the state government and has served significant time in prison for past cybercrimes. she does not have her own dragon but occasionally co-opts QoH by bribing her with food and/or baubles if she needs to go anywhere on dragonback.
like i said in there this verse is very new so there are a lot of missing or temporary details to all of this but i AM slowly chipping at it 👍 my time is currently being absorbed by namowrimo but ill get back in there eventually! dragon rider ocs are my passion 4ever

1. The book Dr. Albert Caine read from, the one that sent the power of resurrection into the world and finding a host in Kelsey, is the only way she can die permanently. If one gets hands on the book and does the proper ritual to rid of the immense power, she would die for good, thus the power will find a suitable new host on its own. It can deny anyone if it does not see fit.
2. Kelsey never saw her friend and brother figure Joshua after the second year of being in Singapore for the Nightmare Circus. Jack didn't see use for any of his acts over there and including Shorty, did away with them. She would eventually find this out from her friend and therapist Gideon Grim, who encountered Joshua after his death.
3. When first coming to the Universal Palace, her mind was overwhelmed with the energy of the souls of the victims it had swallowed over the years. what about gideon the ninth's main chara dk you relate to so much?
anytime I see butch rep I get unreasonably attached bc I never ever see that and hence myself but Gideon is also specifically:
-an ass, but also, she cares a whole lot. these are the two pillars of her personality at a glance that also one could demand from me
-truly she's always two pars and a half-step away from making a resoundingly smirky joke
-she Likes Women she Desires them she has a thing for nearly every pretty woman she's in close proximity to, or at least, she doesn't stop herself from admiring them for selfish and/or horny reasons and I respect that very much
-very loyal
-underestimated in the wrong ways: she's very good at what she's good at. however let it be known. she is stupid sometimes. and oblivious. and i get the feeling that she is seen as more all-knowing than she is until she actually opens her mouth. which is very relatable
anyways gideon is just like. if i was cooler and a little less introverted/mom-friend adjacent and knew how to use a sword. and maybe that's giving one of us too much credit but she's been very fun to read bc everything she does I also would have done djksl

dw about that addition, the whole "chara is an evil murderer" thing is SOOOO controversial in the undertale fandom and the game itself tries to debunk it, in the game theyre literally canonically just a scared traumatized kid lashing out and they can be either comforted or pushed to kill depending on your choices, they wouldnt be an ~evil murderer headmate~ that's entirely a fandom headcanon Jdjdjfjfjfnmfkfk
i mean yeah but if a lot of people misinterpret it that way and them being plural is more on the headcanon side anyway, i do definitely get why someone would be uncomfortable with that and we'd rather someone spoke up than not.

tbh personally as a system we like fucked up evil system members in fiction, systems are just like singlets in the types of people we can be so even if a system member in a story is actually a villain we still like that bc system members can be heroes, villains, good, evil, just like singlets can be too :)
also fair! i do think the evil alter trope does more damage than not, but yeah a system (member or whole) doing ~evil~ stuff isn't indicative of that especially when like everyone in the series does messed up stuff lol. we're personally not too bothered unless the character is clearly meant to be dehumanising and only some evil stereotype, but i do completely understand why others would draw the line earlier than that and we did want this blog to not contain any characters that are too controversial.

Yo, just so you know, if you disqualify Frisk and Chara for not being an actual system, you should probably disqualify Harrow and Gideon as well. Their situation is really similar, when they're bodysharing it's because Gideon's ghost is possessing Harrow's body. Personally I think multiple beings in one body is a fun plural vibe even if they're actual ghosts and other entities and not related to mental health per say, but I understand if you only wanna go for dissociated personalities in this bracket and disqualify bodysharing entities that don't fit that definition.
idk what to make of harrow and gideon tbh attempting to read and understand their wiki gave me a headache, but unlike frisk and chara they did get more than one vote so hmm. several other characters are technically two separate characters bodysharing rather than being a realistic system, but if they otherwise feel, function, and/or are treated as a system i'm counting that as a system. the thing about frisk and chara is that i'm not sure anymore where they lie there OTL nobody's complained (or said much in general w) about them yet though, so for now they can stay?
