2. Your story does NOT have to contain smut, but it must be spooky! This is a horror challenge, this tenet is non-negotiable.

4. Your submission must be a new and original work—no submitting chapters from previous fics, or installments in ongoing series. If it IS an installment of something existing, it must be able to be read and made sense of as a stand-alone piece.

"I can walk, I'm fine," Derek helped you to the couch, your arms around his shoulder as you limped, taking a seat.
"You're injured and you're bleeding, just let me help you. What were you thinking, going in after I told you not to? You could have avoided getting hurt, you know," you watched as he walked around, grabbing a small first-aid kit.

Derek was kind, he was helping you.
"I'm done," you tried to get up before he stopped you once more.
