Cal Kestis x Male Mirialan ex-Jedi!Reader
Warnings: You flirt with stormtroopers…
Part 1: Being a mirialan jedi youngling and getting your kyber crystal…
Y/l/c = Your lightsaber color
Summary: After the fall of the Jedi Order you fled to Raxus Secundus for your survival, 5 years later Cal Kestis and the crew of the Stinger Mantis land on Raxus Secundus with their ship in need of repairs…
——
You walked in to the cantina looking around at the different patrons, you walked and sat down at the bar. The bartender soon showed up in front of you and asked ”What can i get you?”. You thought for a second and decided ”A phattro, please”.
”Coming right up” he said and soon placed a glass filled with a purple beverage in front of you. You took a sip and a familiar refreshing taste hit you. Two off-duty stormtroopers were sitting a few chairs away from you, their helmets placed next to their drinks.
They were looking towards you. You gave them a small smile and raised your glass to them in a little ”cheers”. They smiled back at you and grabbed their drinks and helmets coming over to you, sitting down on each of your sides.
”Hey beautiful, what’s your name?” said the one to your left. ”I’m Y/n, what’s yours?” you said in a alluring tone. ”They call me Red” he introduced himself with a smirk. You turned to the trooper to your right and asked ”And you?”. ”Spikes” he answered cooly.
”How may i be of assitance for the troops?” you asked taking another sip of your drink. ”Well, we’ve had a lot to attend to lately and it can get very stressfull” Red explained. ”Extremely stressfull” Spikes added. ”And we thought a pretty thing like yourself might help us… relieve some of that stress” Red said putting a hand at your waist.
You smiled a flirty smile. ”Oh really, how about we-” you started but was cut off by a sudden feeling brought on by the force, a warning? No. A familiarity, a memory, a very distant one. You stood up and looked around seeing no one. ”Are you alright?” Spikes asked.
”Uh yeah… Sorry i have to go” you said, leaving credits and a tip for the bartender. Red scoffed annoyed and said a snide ”Tease”. You ignored him and walked out on to the streets of Tamwith Bay. The connection you had felt was now lost.
You closed your eyes and tried to focus, reaching out through the force, trying to find the connection again but there was nothing. You were left alone and confused.
As you wandered home you thought to yourself about what or who it might’ve been, a Jedi? Just another force user lost in the galaxy?. Memories of the jedi and your training started flooding your brain as you entered your small apartment.
You had been made a padawan only 4 months before the collapse of the Jedi Order and the Republic. In most cases you would’ve most likely been to young to become a padawan but the Clone Wars had taken a big strain on the order and because of the deaths of many masters and padwans in battle there were a lot of gaps to fill.
You had been assigned to Jocasta Nu, the chief librarian of the Jedi archives. You didn’t earn a lot of battlefield experience from this but your master had shown you some of the secrets of the Jedi temple.
Once the destruction of the Jedi hit in full force you and your master escaped the temple through a secret passage hidden within the temple. Once on the streets of Coruscant she ordered you to get on a shuttle while she had drawn away a group of Clone Troopers.
That had been the last you ever saw of her as the shuttle had left. Sometimes you wondered if she had survived that night and had managed to escape the purge as well but even then they might’ve caught up with her sooner or later.
You lifted a loose floor panel of the ground revealing a box containing your now dusty jedi robes, a hard drive containing Jedi texts and your twin lightsabers. You brought your lightsabers out afraid to turn them on incase someone could here the noise and report it to the empire.
You shouldn’t even bring them out of their hiding spot, you never knew who was watching. But something told you that you would be needing them in a couple of hours. You went to bed that night with your lightsabers hidden under your bed in case of a intruder or sudden attacker.
You were kept allert by the force the next day, you hid your lightsabers beneath a cloak as you ventured out in to town. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary so you just tried to go about your business as usual but as evening came, things would change.
You were once again making your way home but saw people running away from the town square, you decided to check it out. Once you got there you were met with a life changing sight. It was jedi, or at least someone carrying a lightsaber who knew how to fight like a Jedi.
He was fighting what you assumed was an imperial inquisitor, you had heard rumours about them but never seen one in person. They were Jedi hunters, sent out to find the survivors of the purge.
You then felt the connection from the day before reignite, you had met this Jedi before… but who was it? Suddenly the Inquisitor used a force push to knock the Jedi in to a stack of crates, knocking him over.
As the Jedi layed among the crates you caught a glimpse of his face, he looked like… Cal Kestis, a friend of yours from the order. The Inquisitor walked menacingly towards Cal, spinnig his double bladed lightsaber.
Without thinking you forced jump up in the air and landing between Cal and the Inquisitor. You faced the Inquisitor and ignited your lightsabers making two y/l/c blades emerge from them.
”Two Jedi, this just got a lot more interesting” the Inquisitor said, his smirk being covered by the helmet. It had been a long time since you fought or even practised with your lightsabers so you begged the force would guide you.
The Inquisitor slashed at you but you dodged, you flipped over his head cutting at him but he blocked. The two of you started attacking back and forward while Cal tried to absorb what just happened. A hodded Jedi had just come out of nowhere and saved his life.
He watched as the Jedi fought, lightsabers skills clearly rusty but skilled. Cal then got of his feet and jumped, attacking the Inquisitor from behind. The Inquisitor managed to block but started to struggle keeping up with the three blades slashing at him.
While the Inquisitor was blocking an attack from both one of yours and Cal’s saber. You managed to get a cut in down the middle of the doublebladed saber, destroying it. You and Cal then force pushed the Inquisitor at the same time sending him flying in to a stone wall which knocked him out.
Cal then let out a sigh of relief at the Inquisitor’s defeat. He then turned to you and said ”You’re a Jedi”. ”Not quite” you said lowering your hood making Cal’s eyes widen as regcognition hit. ”Y/n?” he questioned.
”Hi Cal, it’s been a while” you greeted. Without warning Cal ran up to you and threw his arms around you. You were caught of guard at first but then wrapped your arms around him as well, it didn’t hit you until now how much you had missed him.
You heard troopers approaching and broke the hug. ”Come on, this way” you said and started sprinting down an alley way. Cal followed close behind. You led him back to your apartment, you gave one last look outside before closing the door, making sure you weren’t followed.
Once behind closed doors you find your arms locked around each other in another tight embrace. ”How did you survive? You were on Coruscant that would’ve been the most heavily guarded planet?” Cal questioned in amazement.
”Let’s sit down” you said, you made some tea for the two of you and poured it up in two cups. You both sat down around a small table and you started telling him how Master Nu had saved your life and that it had let you escape Coruscant.
”How about you?” you asked and Cal explained that his master had sacrificed himself for him. He then told you of the events that led him and his crew to land on Raxus Secundus a couple days ago for ship repairs.
”Y/n, you should come with us, we’re trying to rebuild some of what’s left of the Jedi Order, you could help us” Cal suggested. You thought about it for a second before answering ”Cal, I’m not sure how much i will be able to help you, i only just became a padawan before the fall of the Jedi”.
”To us that’s enough, we need to rebuild with what little we have left” Cal insisted. ”I don’t know Cal, i just need some time to think” you told him. ”Alright, you have until tommorow, me and my crew are leaving once our repairs are done” Cal said.
You opened the floor panel and brought out the hard drive out of the box. ”What’s that?” Cal asked. ”It’s a hard drive, it contains a few Jedi texts from the library. It’s not a lot but it’s something, i think you should have it” you said handing it to him.
”Thank you” Cal accepted gratefully. Cal then contacted his crew and let them know about the events of the day. They decided it was best for Cal to stay the night with you as security had tightened because of the reveal of two Jedis in the city and that he should try sneak his way to the ship at the crack of dawn.
”Where should i sleep?” Cal asked, looking around your small apartment, there weren’t many options besides the bed and the floor. ”You can have the bed” you offered. ”And let you sleep on the floor, we can share your bed, wouldn’t be the first time” Cal suggested.
”Alright” you nodded and the two of climbed in to bed together, laying on your sides to face each other. ”This reminds me of when we would sneak out of out temple rooms to have sleep overs together” Cal said making a smile spread over your face.
”I remember that and that one time Master Skywalker caught you on the way to my room but he promised not to tell anyone” you reminded Cal who let out a chuckle. ”Then after you left the temple with Master Tapal, i remember how much i missed you and how lonely i felt” you admited.
”I missed you too Y/n, especially after purge. It was terrifying having no way to know if you had survived or not” Cal said as you gazed in to each others eyes. He continued ”But now we’re both here again and i never want to leave you behind”.
Cal then leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss to your lips, from which you didn’t pull back. While attachment was against the Jedi teachings their was no order around anymore to supervise you. You were free.
As you both pulled away from each others lips you brought a hand up to cup his cheek stroking it lightly. ”I’ll come with you, i don’t want to lose you again either” you confessed. You both then fell asleep, hands clasped together ready for the challenges tommorow would bring.

Cal Kestis getting a nice back massage from reader, rudely interrupted by BD-1
Tumblr media
"Ugh. This is...so nice."
Cal was lying on his stomach on the bed. His shirt was off and bunched up on the floor. M/n was gently, yet sternly, pressing his hands into the other man's skin.
"You are so knotted up. I'd ask what's got you so tense but I feel like we both know the answer to that." He grinned as he continued to give his boyfriend a massage.
"Hey, I don't wanna hear it. You're not the one dangling off buildings most of the time."
"And every time you do, you make me get more and more grey hairs."
"Eh. Just adds to your looks."
"Ass." M/n playfully pushed Cal, the other man rolling onto his back to give him a decent look. He moved his hands to hold M/n's sides. The other man leaned in to give him a kiss.
However before their lips could meet, a little beeping sound was heard. "Bwoop?" The metallic clinking sound of Bd's feet could be heard hopping onto the nearby table. The little droid looked at them curiously.
Of course, that killed any sort of mood. M/n laughed and pulled back. Cal on the other hand let out a sigh and rolled his eye. "Yup. Hi, Bd. Nice timing."
"Bwoo!" The droid didn't seem to notice what they had interrupted.

You are so incredibly talented! I love reading all of your works! : )
Could I request a Cal Kestis x female reader (or OC, no preference really). I’ve been super into the game recently and just love his character. Maybe a really strong female character, but she gets flustered by Cal’s confidence, and how much she has grown to like him more than friends. I totally see him being a complete flirt (but still sweet). Haha. I’ve always had this idea that it would be cool for a force user to show someone what it’s like by holding their hand and pulling something to them (like aiding them in using the force). Stupid maybe I don’t know lol, basically Cal being suave and laying it on thick. Fluff, crack, little spice, I’m here for whatever creative piece you get going ❤️
Firstly, thank you for your lovely words! Secondly, yay, Cal! Thank you, I'm glad someone's asked for Cal, this is a cute prompt.
Character x Reader requests are currently open in my Asks. Please read the guidelines first. Masterlist of my fics can be found here.

Title: Proximity Fandom: Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor Games Setting: Prior to events of Jedi Survivor Genres: Sci-fi; Romance; Fluff - This is tooth-rotting fluff with a little added spice as requested ;) Warnings: This fic is 18+ so please heed and respect the adult rating. Descriptions of sexual longing/arousal; one scene of strong consensual sex - nothing too descriptive but probably on the borderline of (hopefully still sweet) mild smut. Pairing: Cal Kestis x Female Reader Chapters: 1/1 (Complete) Word Count: approx 5.5k (Because I have no self control) Summary: You are an accomplished Coruscanti thief who has been recruited by the Rebel Jedi, Cal Kestis. As you join him and his crew on their adventures aboard the Mantis, you and Cal have to navigate your growing feelings for each other.
You are standing in some Imperial-worshipping Senator's private vault in a bank nestled deep in the heart of Coruscant's palatial financial district. You've just located your prize - a data stick containing the names of high standing political and military figures within the Empire who have Republic, perhaps even Rebel leaning sympathies.
It's the Senator's insurance policy, his get out of jail free card - something he can produce at the eleventh hour in case his unwavering loyalty to the Empire turns out not to be enough to save him from the pull and push of the Imperial tide of oppression swelling across the Galaxy.
You'll sell the data stick to one Rebel faction or another, whoever is willing to pay most for your service in getting information out of Imperial hands and aiding the Rebel's recruitment drive in the process.
You're in the middle of internally congratulating yourself on successfully extracting the data stick from its complex security casing when a male voice, almost conversational in tone, rings out behind you.
"I can't let you leave with that."
Startled, you whirl around to see a man standing no more than a meter away from you. You wonder how long he's been there, watching you.
He has bright ginger hair which is swept back from his face, short at the back and sides, but longer on top and slightly ruffled. His matching red stubble sits on his cheeks, chin, upper-lip and travels up his well-defined jawline to his ears. He is dressed simply in a fawn shirt, dark grey pants, and sturdy brown boots.
A small red and white droid, bipedal, with a flat rectangular head and two photoreceptors, one slightly larger and beadier than the other, hangs almost casually off his shoulder like a pet. It's a BD unit, you think.
Both the man and the droid are rather dirty, but then, so are you after squeezing your way through a maze of dusty ventilation shafts. It makes sense the only possible way they could have gotten in here is the same way you did.
The stranger is holding something metal in his right hand that glints occasionally in the vault's dim security lighting, but you can't quite work out what it is. A weapon?
You raise your blaster.
"Don't!" he shouts, holding out a palm towards you, "The vault is magnetically sealed, if you miss, that bolt's going to cause us both a world of problems."
You raise an eyebrow because one, you already know that, and two...
"Bold of you to assume I'll miss at point blank range," you say levelly.
You keep your weapon trained steadily at the young man's chest.
He adjusts his grip on whatever it is he is holding and a green beam of light extends from the hilt of what you now realise is a lightsaber. A deep thrumming sound resonates around the small chamber.
A Jedi. Great.
You thought they were all extinct after the Emperor's purge. Briefly, childhood memories of evening strolls with your parents past the monumental ziggurat of the Jedi temple glowing golden in the low Coruscanti sun flash through your mind. You remember the thrill of excitement at seeing the Jedi, elegant and regal in their grand robes, lightsabers clinking at their belts as they swept by on important Republic business.
Right now? Here? This is the last place you want to see one.
The light from the blade illuminates the young man's face which, you have to admit, is a rather attractive combination of youthful and rugged. His nose and cheeks are peppered with freckles and his eyes contain green irises so deep in colour that they almost match his blade. A thin, red scar runs almost horizontally across the bridge of his nose, dipping down onto his right cheek. The ghost of a smirk is now playing on his lips and it has the irritating effect of making him more handsome.
You don't know why, but for some reason, you trust him instinctively not to try and cut you in half with that humming beam of hot, vibrating energy. At a stalemate, you lower your blaster. He follows your lead by deactivating the blade of his saber immediately.
"If you make me a good offer, you can have this right now," you say, one hand on your hip, the other waving the data stick in front of him impatiently.
You never like staying on the scene of a job too long and you are starting to feel on edge.
"I've got ... uhhh ... one hundred credits?"
He rubs the back of his neck awkwardly as he speaks. He knows it's a stupidly lowball offer and you scoff loudly to let him know you think so too.
"Look, I know the ISB would pay a lot for information like this but..."
"I don't sell to the Empire," you snarl, cutting him off.
He holds up his hands in a gesture of apology which seems genuine enough. He tries again.
"I really need to get this to a contact in the Mid Rim..."
"The Mid Rim?" you interrupt abruptly, "that's off-world."
"Yeah..." his brow furrows and a slow, quizzical smile spreads across his face at the obviousness of your statement.
You curse yourself for being as predictable as a cheap holo novel. All your life you've lived on Coruscant. You've never been anywhere else. These days, the endless maze of unnatural, lifeless spires and struts and blocks of artificial construction seem to press in and in and in on you so that, despite the sprawling size of the metropolis, it feels like you are living in a tiny metal cage.
Still, this stranger didn't need to know that, and you realise you've given him his angle - a bargaining chip.
"I can't buy it off you," he reasons, "I don't have the credits, but I do have a proposal. Work with me and my crew. It's regular and we're rarely on one world for too long..."
There it is...
You got in here," he continues, gesturing around the vault, "we could use someone with your skill set. And, you get to piss off the Empire in the process."
You consider his offer. You are used to working alone and you don't like the complications that come with relying on others. Trusting anyone is difficult after fending for yourself, all alone, so successfully and for so long....
But with the Empire continuing to close their fist around all aspects of daily life, work was difficult to come by on Coruscant these days. Thieving in the city from Imperial targets in particular was becoming more and more fraught with danger.
While it riled you that he was able to read you so easily, really, what did you have to lose? Because by the Force did you not want to get off Coruscant? Isn't this what you'd been waiting for your whole life? An adventure?
"One job," you counter pragmatically, extending your hand to shake his, "And we'll see how it goes from there."
"Cal Kestis," he introduces himself with a disarmingly friendly smile, "And deal."
*************************************************
One job turns into another then another and another. Weeks turn into months and soon you've been on Cal's ship - well, borrowed ship you had come to learn - the Mantis for nearly half a year.
You've grown close with the crew of the Mantis. Cal, Gabs, Bravo and the two hulking Klatooinine twins, Lizz and Koob. This type of camaraderie is new to you. You really thought you'd struggle with it, that your independent nature would rail against the confines of living in close quarters with ship mates and fitting your own whims and desires and wants around others. In reality, you've never felt more at home. You didn't realise how lonely you had become before.
And the missions you run with the crew are exhilarating. This new life is so much more than just pilfering here and there from the Empire. You feel like you are really making a difference, like you're spitting directly in the face of the Imperial machine with every job. You feel like a Rebel.
It's not all sabotage and espionage and fighting Stormtroopers though. Off duty, life on the Mantis is mainly based around friendly joshing and winding each other up. And the dull minutiae of life still goes on.
Like now.
You and Cal are patching up the Mantis while the others are out on a supply run. You are currently crouched on your haunches so that the service hatch you are examining on one of the walls inside the ship is at eye level.
Cal is stood behind you, arms folded across his chest. You've been arguing good naturedly about what the problem is with the engine cooling system for an hour and you are now impatiently waiting for BD-1 to finish his scan to find out which one of you is right.
The little droid crawls out from the tangle of wires and gives you little nod and a boop of approval. You pat BD on his rectangular head and he scurries up your arm and on to your shoulder.
"I told you that was the problem," you say, craning your neck to look up at Cal with a triumphant grin.
You gesture to the wiring tool in his hand.
"Give that to me, I'll do it."
The Jedi looks down at the small instrument in his hand then tosses it up in the air and catches it again. He has that mischievous look on his face, the one you've learned to recognise as a sign that he's about to do something really annoying.
"Kestis..." you warn standing up, unable to stop your lips curling into a smile.
You make a lunge for the tool in his hand, but he's too quick. In a flash, he's holding it up above his head. Cal is almost a head taller than you and there's no way you can reach that high, even when you stretch up onto your tiptoes.
Instead, you decide to play dirty. You jab him hard in both his sides with your fingers where you know he's ticklish. He makes a funny sort of snorting noise in surprise and his hand drops for long enough that you manage to snatch the tool from him and make off with it at great speed.
Cal darts after you, both of you careering in to the kitchen of the Mantis, the thud and scrape of your boots on the ship's durasteel grated floor ringing throughout the ship in chorus with your laughter.
BD-1 takes this opportunity to leap of your shoulder and onto the kitchen table with an indignant whirr, determined not to get involved in this organic tomfoolery.
Cal is on you in seconds. He grabs you around the middle and lifts you off the ground with ease, spinning you around and deliberately tickling you in between making grabs for the wiring tool.
You squeal and let out perhaps the most ridiculous giggle to ever escape your mouth. You can't let him get away with forcing you to make a noise like that so you elbow him in the stomach. It's only a gentle prod really, but it's enough to make him grunt and let go of you.
As Cal doubles over, winded, you sprint back around to the opposite side of kitchen table holding the instrument aloft and performing a little victory dance.
Across the table, Cal straightens and, with a cocky look on his face, he stretches his arm out towards you. You stumble forwards slightly as if pulled forwards by an invisible rope tied around your wrist as he uses the Force to tear the tool easily out of your hand and bring it flying through the air to rest in his own outstretched palm.
"That's cheating!" you say, breathlessly.
Despite your half-hearted admonishment, in reality, you're delighted. And you're certain Cal knows it. The more time you spend with him, the more that old fascination you held as a child with the strange powers of the Jedi has returned. You are always enchanted by Cal's displays of Force ability.
"Alright kids, we almost ready to go?" Gabs' voice echoing through from the Mantis' doorway signals the return of the others.
Cal shrugs at you and you both grin, panting from your exertions. Keeping his green eyes locked on yours, he backs casually towards the door to help Gabs and the others load up the supply crates. Just before he exits the ship, he tosses the wiring tool to you underarm and you catch it with an elaborate flourish and twirl that makes him laugh.
You return to your work fixing the Mantis's cooling system with BD-1. You try to concentrate, but you feel slightly giddy. You can still feel Cal's strong arms against your body as if they remain wrapped around you. His masculine scent, pleasant and earthy and fresh like petrichor, seems to linger in your proximity and on your skin.
BD-1 tries his best to keep you right. He trills or nudges you every so often either to correct your wiring or to encourage you to stop staring into space with that inane, absent-minded smile.
When you lie in your cot bed that night, the hum of the Mantis' hyperdrive lulls you into a comfortable drowsiness and your thoughts return, unbidden, to Cal.
Over the past few months, it's like the very idea of him nestled deep into your brain and now refuses to budge. Every morning when you wake, you look forward to the sight of his honest, open, expressive face. The warmth of his slightly crooked smile. The way his red brows arch when he finds something funny before he squeezes his eyes shut so tight that they crinkle at the corners as he throws back his head, letting out peels of joyful, open-mouthed laughter.
Even when he has those strange moments of quiet introspection which you don't quite understand yet, you find it hard not to watch him. You can't help it, even although you sometimes feel like you are intruding on a private, sacred moment of reflection. It's always the same. His eyes glaze over as he stares out into the distance at nothing, a muscle works in his chiselled jaw, and then his head drops as if in dignified, melancholic prayer. These periods never last too long - not when he has a crew to lead.
There's no point in denying it anymore, at least not to yourself anyway. Your feelings for Cal go beyond comradeship; beyond friendship. And a hopeful notion has formed in your head that he might actually feel the same way about you.
It's both frightening and exhilarating at the same time.
A sudden heat blooms deep within your very core and rises in your cheeks as your mind conjures the image, no, the feeling of Cal's solid, toned body, pressed against yours in a feverish, impassioned embrace, your limbs entwined, fingers woven tightly through the flames of his red hair
Force, you want him.
You place a palm against the cool durasteel wall above your head that separates your room from the Jedi's. You wonder what he's thinking of on the other side of the thin sheet of metal.
****************************************
Cal Kestis can't sleep. Like most Jedi, he can't actually read the thoughts of others, but his connection to the Force allows him to feel the emotions and state of mind of those around him.
Over the past few months, the Jedi has noticed your feelings for him blossoming into something more than friendship, mirroring the growth of his own affections for you.
But tonight, Cal can sense that something in your emotional frequency has changed. Evolved. A clarity, a new and vigorous and glorious certainty in your desire for him radiates incandescent through the Force. It's like the smouldering embers of a fire have ignited into a ferocious blaze.
As the feeling permeates through the thin sheet-metal wall dividing you, the intensity of it, the heat of it, drives him crazy. He wants to rip through the flimsy partition separating you and give you everything you want from him and more. His whole body is aflame with almost painful arousal and he is aching to bring himself release.
Cal resists, teetering on the very edge of giving himself over to his desire. Is this voyeuristic? Is he trespassing? Crossing some unspoken line? Should he be trying to block you out? He doesn't know.
The Jedi hisses through his teeth in frustration. Reluctantly, he rolls out of bed and, sinking to his knees on the floor, surrenders himself to the Force in search of whatever temporary solace he can find in meditation.
Even as he does so, he knows that the only real relief he'll be able to get now is if he can find it with you.
***************************************
The crew of the Mantis are taking some time to rest after a run of particularly eventful jobs. You've landed on the quiet world of Brax at the edge of the Mid Rim. It's a beautiful, lush planet adorned with meadows of wildflowers, glassy lakes and sprawling coniferous forests.
Everyone is making the most of their down time.
Gabs and Bravo have gone off for a hike in the nearby woods.
BD-1 is having a well earned oil bath on the Mantis.
The twins are snoozing in the meadow amongst the flowers. When you'd crept past them earlier, you'd smiled fondly - the peaceful serenity on their faces was such an odd juxtaposition to their usual chaotic enthusiasm for life.
Having successfully sneaked past Lizz and Koob without waking them, you are now sitting atop a large slab of rock which juts up and out of the meadow. You alternate between admiring the view of the lake and cleaning your blaster.
It is a warm day, but a gentle cooling breeze keeps the heat at bay. A gust suddenly whips up the heady, sweet smell of wildflowers all around you. For some reason the scent triggers something inside you, your heart suddenly full to bursting with a strange concoction of melancholy and joy.
To think that all this beauty, all this Galaxy was just out here, waiting, your whole life. And if you'd never met Cal, you might still be crawling through filthy ventilation shafts smelling of metal and damp and darkness just to get by on Coruscant.
You are just about ready to reassemble your weapon when you look up from your task towards where the Jedi is meditating with his back to you. He's kneeling a few meters in front of you on the sandy shore by the still water. You always think it's strange how he chooses to sit on his knees, rather than cross-legged. It looks uncomfortable to you, but he seems to be able to sit like that for anywhere up to an hour. Maybe you'll ask him about it one day.
Cal is shirtless. Even from here, you can see the freckles littered like celestial constellations across his strong back and down his broad shoulders and muscled arms. You take the opportunity to admire the outlines and angles of his taut, athletic body.
You start as the Jedi begins to stand. You'd rather not get caught staring at him quite so openly and you quickly shift your gaze back to your blaster which is still in its various component parts.
Cal turns and advances towards you up the beach and onto the grassy meadow. You pretend not to have noticed him at all, but you keep catching glimpses of him in your peripheral vision. He walks a few paces, then stops and looks around as if he's searching for something on the ground. Then he crouches down. He does this several times.
What is he up to?
"Hey," Cal says casually as he finally wanders over to you.
He has to crane his neck to speak to you, perched as you are on top of your rock, and use a hand to shield his eyes from the sun. He's hiding something behind his back you realise.
"Oh, hey," you reply, as if you're surprised to see him there.
He pulls his hand from behind his back and reaches up to you. In his grasp is a bunch of wildflowers, beautiful pastel blues and pinks and purples.
You exclaim softly in surprise, a rather giddy sound that makes Cal beam up at you. As you take the blooms from him, his fingertips, calloused and tough from years of wielding a weapon in combat, brush gently against your hand. Even that small touch feels like a spark of electricity arching between you.
"See you at dinner," he says, and he's clearly pleased with himself as he retreats towards the Mantis, head held high, a jaunt in his step.
As you twist in your seated position to watch him disappear into the ship, you realise you were so enchanted by the gesture that you forgot to say thank you.
That's the thing about Cal Kestis. He's completely disarming. He has a rare, effortless charisma and an easy, flirtatious way about him that is somehow both sweet and suave at the same time. Few men you've met have ever managed to render you so flustered.
You look down at the delicate blooms in your hand and bring them to your nose, inhaling their fresh scent. Smiling to yourself, you shake loose the functional way you usually wear your hair to keep it out of your face and retie it, carefully weaving the wildflowers that Cal has picked for you through your locks.
When you come in for dinner - Bravo's turn to cook - Cal is already sitting at the kitchen table. He looks up and inclines his head to the side as he takes you in, his eyes widening. You blush furiously to see the genuine pleasure at the sight of you and your decorated hair written so openly on his face.
Amid the usual convivial hubbub and chaos of dinner in the Mantis' kitchen, you and Cal steal glances at each other across the table.
**********************************************
That evening, the moon is low and yellow in Brax's dark sky, hanging like a ball of golden light above the lake. You have an hour or so before you all depart for a rendezvous with a contact on Naboo. It's the twins' turn to do pre-flight checks and you find yourself on the shores of the water, skimming stones with Cal to kill time.
Before joining the crew of the Mantis you'd never skimmed a stone in your life. Not many places to do that on Coruscant. But Gabs in particular is an ace at it and she's taught you well.
Cal spots a likely candidate for his next projectile and he brings it flying casually into his hand using his Jedi abilities.
"What does it feel like like?" You ask, suddenly.
Cal smiles at you, seemingly understanding that you are talking about the Force. He hesitates for a second, looking down at the stone in his open palm. Then he places it back on the ground in an obvious position, nestled in the sand a few feet in front of you, and moves round to stand behind you.
He's so close you can feel his heart beating against his chest. Instinctively, you lean back into him, enjoying the safe feeling that his nearness gives you, and the warmth of his body against yours in the chill night air.
"It's time for instruction," he says softly.
He's said that phrase before when he's showing anyone how to do something new. You've come to understand that it's a fond impression of his late Master's dignified voice - a touching habit you've always thought.
Tonight it sounds different. His tone is light and teasing, but the smirk you can hear as he speaks makes the words sound almost seductive in a way that causes something to flip then tighten in the pit of your abdomen.
"Hold out your hand."
You extend your right arm, holding your palm outwards as you've seen Cal do many times. He places his own palm against the back of your hand and interlocks his fingers with yours.
His other hand comes to rest at your waist, pulling you ever so slightly closer into him. He doesn't need to put it there and you both know it. Nor does he need to rest his chin on your left shoulder, so close to your cheek that his stubble almost tickles your skin.
Yet you can tell that you are both revelling in this rare, private opportunity for proximity between the two of you, and it is as thrilling as it is maddening.
"Focus. Breathe."
You realise you've been holding your breath. You feel Cal's chest rising and falling against your back and you match your own breathing in time with his. You can't help but notice it's at a slightly elevated pace.
"See the stone in your hand."
You nod and exhale, your eyes boring into the rock as if you really are going to levitate it yourself. You try and fail to stifle a sudden giggle at the ridiculousness of such an idea.
"Concentrate," Cal scolds quietly in your ear but you can hear the smile in his voice as the hand round your waist tightens its grip ever so slightly.
"I am," you mutter, but it's only half true.
You wonder if it's just your imagination, but in the seconds that follow, you think you can feel an deep, vibration flowing through Cal and passing through his body and into yours, binding your lifeforces together.
The rock flies so suddenly into your palm that you jump. You just about remember to close your fingers around the stone's cool, smooth surface as you shout out in surprise and delight. Cal lets out a good-natured laugh at your reaction and you glow as it rumbles through his whole body and yours.
You've just made up your mind to twist around in his arms kiss him when BD-1 comes running through the grass at great speed on his little legs, beeping and chirping urgently.
"Ok buddy, ok, we're coming," Cal says kindly to the little droid, but you can hear the exasperation at the untimely interruption in his voice.
*******************************************
Course set, the Mantis is travelling at lightspeed and, nestled safely in the cradle of the hyperlane, you will probably make it to Naboo in about six hours.
You suspect the rest of the crew are all sleeping soundly. The Mantis takes care of herself for the most part when travelling through hyperspace. With the life you lead, the importance of catching rest when you can cannot be underestimated.
You, however, cannot sleep. Thoughts of Cal and your interrupted moment by the lake race through your mind. The wildflowers he gave you are still in your hair and every so often you catch the ghost of their aroma, reminding you of your almost idyllic day on Brax.
You sigh and drag yourself out of bed, deciding to go and sit in the empty cockpit of the Mantis for a while and watch the stars race by as you hurtle through the hyperlane. Although it should really be frightening, you love to watch great swathes of the Galaxy disappear in a flash before your eyes as the Mantis catapults through space. It's a novel experience for you still - being off Coruscant, light speed travel, new worlds.
You wave your hand over the control and the door to your room hisses open. You jump to see a figure already standing there in the corridor. With a jolt of excitement, and with a strange feeling that you've summoned him somehow, you realise that it's Cal.
"Uh, hi.."
You don't let him get more than two words into his sentence. You grab him roughly by the front of his loose night shirt - which is slung low, revealing tufts of ginger hair on his chest and the elegant lines of his collarbone - and pull him into a deep kiss.
Not breaking away from your lips, and hardly hesitating, he picks you with almost alarming ease. You wrap your legs around his waist and curl your fingers in his red hair as he carries you back into your quarters. He places you up onto your workbench situated against the opposite wall as the door slides closed behind you.
"You look so pretty with those flowers in your hair," he mumbles into your neck you shiver with pleasure as his mouth brushes against your skin as he talks.
"Yes, it's a shame you're about to make such a mess of me," you whisper into his ear.
He pulls back to stare at you for a moment, green eyes wide as if dumbfounded by your forwardness. His delighted, slack-jawed expression forces a loud giggle from deep within you.
"Shhh," Cal warns emphatically, keenly aware of the proximity of the rest of the crew and how thin the walls of the Mantis are. He presses a kiss to your mouth in an attempt to silence your outburst, but you can feel his body shake with his own barely contained laughter as he grins against your lips.
Once your stifled mirth subsides, you hastily start to undress each other. You barely have time to appreciate the now naked, muscular form of the Jedi before you, when, in his enthusiasm to remove it, Cal accidentally rips your flimsy night dress away from your body. As it comes apart in his hands, the fabric makes a loud tearing sound, louder even perhaps than that of your previous bouts of laughter. You both freeze, as if anticipating someone will burst through the door and catch you in this compromising position, before dissolving into poorly restrained giggles again.
As he drinks in the sight of your body, Cal's expression changes into something primal. His brows knit together as if he is trying to understand how you could possibly be sitting in front of him like this. Then, his pupils dilate and his nostrils flare before he crashes his mouth back down on to yours into a deliciously rough kiss.
You don't move from your position on your workbench, and you coil your legs around Cal as tight as you can as he starts to move in you. The pace is urgent. You don't mind. There'll be opportunities for languid and gentle love-making in the future. Right now, this is a matter of need for both of you. The cord of tension that has been tightening between you for months finally snapping in a glorious, frenzied, explosion of mutual lust.
As his pace increases and his movements start to become uncoordinated, Cal moves a hand down between your bodies, splaying his palm against you, and settling the pad of his thumb between your legs at the very place you most need it to be.
At this, your hand which was tangled in his flaming hair flies down to join the other at his back and he growls as you claw your fingers in to his flesh between his shoulder blades.
You press your lips hard into his shoulder to muffle your cries as you approach your peak and then, suddenly, you are crashing over the edge and seeing stars. You gasp out his name, over and over, open mouthed and breathy against his ear.
This, combined with the sensation of your body in rapture, sends Cal hurtling towards his own oblivion. You cling to him while the great, strong muscles all over his body tense and release, and he lets out a long, shuddering groan into your neck that is almost a whimper.
The sight of him, the sound of him falling apart in front of you is beautiful.
Once you've both caught your breath, Cal lifts you gently off the table, and carries you to your tiny, single cot bed. You manage to position yourselves fairly comfortably in the snug space by lying on your sides. The Jedi has one arm laced underneath you with the other slung over your waist, hand resting on your stomach and holding you close to his warm chest.
As you are lulled almost into a doze by the sound and feel of his slow and steady heartbeat, you take in the rather sorry sight of the flowers which once bejewelled your hair, now scattered in ruin across the functional durasteel floor.
"I told you those flowers wouldn't last," you muse drowsily.
Propping himself up on one elbow, Cal removes his hand from your waist and reaches out his arm, palm splayed open. A blue bell flower, stem and petals astonishingly still intact- a brave survivor of the onslaught of urgent hands through your hair - floats lazily up from the floor and towards you on the bed.
Cal plucks it out of the air and gently weaves the bloom into your locks just above your ear. Then, he kisses you gently on the cheek and then on your shoulder, his beard tickling your skin, before sinking back down on to his side and resuming his previous position curled comfortingly around you.
For some reason, despite the eroticism of what you've just done together, this sweet gesture makes you flush disproportionately and you feel your cheeks turning pink.
You're starting to realise, perhaps hope, that the heady feeling of being slightly flustered in Cal Kestis' proximity might never go away.

Y/n should never have been there, according to what Darth Vader told her and imposed on her in order to improve and become a perfect Sith she would have to give up on some things which was definitely difficult, especially when it involved the attraction she felt toward an inquisitor she had met more than once while standing at her "master's" side. The same man who now laid beneath her with his back arched, his pale, freckled skin flushed from the heat caused by the two bodies, so close together and the activity they were engaged in.
His mouth was open, his lips swollen and red from the kisses exchanged previously, Cal Kestis, the inquisitor in question, also felt a knot in his throat, in addition to the pleasure he felt, caused by the force used by Y/n who was slowly increasing it reaching that way the right pressure so as not to choke him to death as she continued to bounce at a fast pace on his length particularly appreciating, although she would never had admit it out loud, the inquisitor's large and strong hands which were firmly gripping her bare hips.
They both hoped within themselves that they would leave a mark on her skin, as soon as he moved his hands from there, so as to leave a memory of that crazy night.
They reached the third round when a powerful and unexpected force moved Y/n from on top of Cal, immobilizing her on the mattress thus giving time for the inquisitor to move on top of her, spread again her bare legs covered with bites and hickeys to be able to reach better and faster the part of her that was waiting for more and more care.
Y/n's body relaxed and tensed soon afterward, still allowing Cal to take care of her and his own needs while relieving himself of the stress that Darth Vader caused and that the general work of an inquisitor put on his shoulders.
The feelings felt by the two Sith, despite being blurred, were blurred and pushed aside because of the power of the pleasure they were causing each other, but they were both confused, not sure if they were doing it to let go of their stress, their hatred, or simply because they both needed physical contact, something to make them feel like they were safe, and sex was the closest thing they could find in that dark place, full of evil and lust for power mixed with sadism.

Tatooine, a planet of not too many things. Deserted and barren land spread across its surface. Giving a bit of a boring look it.
Tatooine wasn't the nicest planet, but it certainly was good for an overnight pit stop. The harsh winds and heat caused many people to turn away from it, and search for a more hospitable-looking place to spend the night.
Most that lived on the planet liked to keep to themselves. Probably more focused on getting past the sweltering heat, rather than the business of others.
The Mantis had gotten damaged in a chase with an accidental run-in with a TIE Fighter. So you were forced to make an emergency landing on Tatooine.
You didn't object to the idea of spending the night. As long as it meant you could sleep, you were alright with it. There was an inn that allowed the five of you to stay, splitting into duos, and you ended up taking three rooms.
Roommates were figured out pretty easily, you with Cal, Merrin with Cere, and Greez ended up having to room with BD-1. After that was all figured out, you all gladly went to bed.
You slept wonderfully that night. Back in the Mantis, there wasn't much room for you to get to sleep next to Cal, so you did appreciate the larger bed that was provided. There wasn't much cuddling that night, mostly because the two of you were pretty drained from previous missions. But that doesn't mean you couldn't do it in the morning, and that was exactly your plan.
What your plan didn't account for, was you being pretty rudely awoken by a certain someone's arm smacking across your stomach.
Your eyes snapped open from the sudden feeling. A gasp left your lips as your gaze went to the male beside you. The culprit was contently sleeping as if he did absolutely nothing.
Normally, you would've smiled at the rather adorable sight. Cal still was plagued with nightmares from time to time. Most of the Mantis crew did as well; it was just something that came with trauma, I guess. So it was a bit of a rare thing to see Cal sleeping so calmly. Too bad he had managed to wake you up and take up most of the bed space in the process.
With a sigh, you decided to let it go as it only happened once. You removed Cal's arm from your stomach and pushed yourself further from the sleeping Jedi. Just give him space and it'll be alright. That seemed to be the case. For the next five minutes. Your head turned to Cal as he had woken you up, yet again, by laying his arm across you. Was this the universe telling you not to go back to sleep, or something? Because if so, you were fully prepared to not listen.
Again, you pushed Cal's arm off of your stomach and rolled away from the male. What was his deal? Couldn't he tell you were just trying to sleep? Apparently not, because not long after you did so; Cal did it again.
You rolled over to face the culprit, grumbling mostly nonsense. He did look pretty cute, but there was no time for fawning over your boyfriend right now. This meant war.
Your hand reached over to his forehead, flicking it directly in the center. You may or may not have used a bit of the force to pull him into it, just to make it hurt a little bit more. What? He had kept you away from sleep, of course, you were going to be petty. Cal, on the other hand, did not appreciate this. His eyes lazily opened as he stared at you with an annoyed look.
"Good morning, sunshine." You spoke with a smug tone. "Did I wake you up? Oops, my finger must've slipped. My bad."
Cal blinked, rolling his eyes at your antics. He wasn't aware enough to deal with you this early. Though, with the Tatooine sun, it looked like it could've been midday. His spread-out position curled up into a more defensive one. He then pulled the blanket over his head to attempt to disappear from you and your anger.
"No, you don't, mister." You tried to pull the blanket down, scooting yourself closer to him. Resting on your elbow, you leaned over the younger male. "Don't think you can just get out of this. You did it to yourself."
Cal ripped the blanket out of your grip and pulled it away from his head. A deadpan expression on his face.
"I was asleep!"
"Yeah, and so was I, but looks like that was ruined for the both of us." You said matter-of-factly. After being violently awoken so many times, you could say you weren't experiencing any grogginess anymore. "Now, you must pay for your crimes." You announced as you pushed yourself up. Using the newly gained height, you proceeded to lie across Cal's stomach. "Now, you are trapped."
Cal groaned under the weight, his barely awake body struggled to keep up with everything that was happening.
"I'm going to push you off the bed."
"You won't."
Maybe being sassy with a freshly awoken Cal wasn't the best idea, but it's too late for that. The next thing you knew, you were flying off the side of the bed. Landing with a thud, you looked up at Cal with an offended expression. To which the redhead just giggled before burying his head in a pillow.
"Oh, it's on." You warned as you got up and jumped onto the bed. Looming over Cal, you stood thinking of your next move. Cal just looked at you with a look of slight fear. Taking this chance to attack, you fell to your knees, placing your hands on either side of Cal's head. With him trapped (and flustered), you grabbed a pillow and pressed it to his face. "Suffocate, Jedi."
Cal gasped as you held the pillow against his face, and tried to fight his way out of it. You held on pretty tightly, but what you didn't count on was Cal force pushing you off the bed. As you started to fly off the bed, yet again, you used the force to pull Cal along with you.
An even louder thud rang through your ears as the two of you lay on the floor. There was a silence, both of you more focused on catching your breaths. That was quite a bit of physical activity for having just woken up, and it turns out you two weren't the only ones that were awoken by your roughhousing.
There was a knock on the door, knowing it was one of the other crew members. (It comes in handy to have a designated knocking pattern.)
"Come in?" Cal said, confused by why someone would come to their room so randomly.
An irritated Cere opened the door, sending a glare to you as she spotted your figures on the floor.
"Some of us are trying to sleep. If I knew you two were going to wake up so early; I wouldn't have taken the room below yours." Cere groggily announced.
Growing embarrassed, you and Cal silently nodded at her. Resembling young children getting scolded by their mother. "Oh, and Merrin says if you wake us up again, then she'll bury you next to Malicos." At that, Cere shut the door and left.
There was silence for a few minutes before the two of you burst out into a fit of giggles. Despite having just been told to be quieter, both you and Cal felt the need to get out and do something. So, you two changed into your casual clothing, talking about what you wanted to do.
"We could train out in the sand. I've always wanted to see if you can use the force to push sand in someone's face." Cal admitted, quite curiously. Though there was a bit of malicious intent behind those words that made you want to avoid that situation as best you could.
"Yeah, no." You responded, pulling out two hooded ponchos. "I'd rather not get sand in my clothes, shoes, hair, and probably eyes. You can do that on your own though." Clicking your tongue as you winked at your boyfriend.
He rolled his eyes, catching the poncho you tossed to him. "Fine, but we're doing that next time we're here."
"Totally."
Cal pulled his gloves from a bag, fixing them onto his hands.
"Or we could look around the shops. Greez said he found a repair shop for the Mantis, so we just have to wait until this afternoon."
That sounded like a pretty good idea. All the times you've been to Tatooine, there were always interesting things to be found in the little shops. Whether it be beautiful jewelry or Tatooine-style clothing, there was always something new to discover.
"See, I knew you had a brain up there." You teased Cal, messing up his hair after you spoke.
The Jedi did not appreciate it. "Might I remind you that this brain has saved your life countless times?"
A chuckle escapes your lips as you listened to Cal's retort. His freckles had darkened from all the time you two had spent on more sunny planets, and wow, you loved it so much. You could make a list of all the little things about your boyfriend that you adored.
Like his freckles or that little tuft of hair that almost always managed to lay on his forehead rather than stay brushed back. The multiple scars that were littered across his body; all showed their own story. You always thought scars were the coolest. No matter where they came from, and no matter who gave them to someone. They all had a story, some more tragic than others but all one big part of the life that person lived.
Often times you would ask Cal about a specific scar, and he would just chuckle while recounting the tale of how he fell from a ship he was scrapping. Or how he had to get rid of an animal that had made its home in the wreckage. Those were the most common, but at other times there would be a bit of pain in the stories. Like the ones, he got from the purge. Those were always the hardest stories to tell.
Your chuckle turned into a smile. Stepping towards Cal, your hand rested against his cheek. As you maintained eye contact, you couldn't help but smile a bit wider at Cal's pupils widening slightly. The visible effect you had on him was priceless sometimes.
"It has, and I love you even more for it." Pulling his face towards yours, you pressed a soft kiss to his lips. You couldn't deny the fluttering feeling in your chest as Cal placed his hands on your waist. As he leaned into you, you couldn't help but smile into the kiss. But you were still in need of giving the younger Jedi payback for waking you up. So you pulled away just a little too soon.
Cal let out a quiet whine as you stepped back, but it quickly turned into an irritated groan. You laughed, an amused expression spreading across your face as you turned on your heel.
"Meet me outside. I'll grab BD." You announced before leaving a flustered Cal to watch you walk out the door.
God, he loved you too much.

FANCY♥️💙
Do you have any pieces or scenes from your writing that you’re really proud of? Tell us why too!
SENDING YOU LOVE AND HUGS♥️🫂♥️🫂♥️🫂
Oh my goodness! Well, oof, it's funny to go back and reread when I've written!
I wrote a Star Wars Fallen Jedi Inquisitor!Cal Kestis x Reader in which Reader was adopted by two male Naotolians - the squid-tentacle head aliens. I liked how they turned out (one assassin and one thief) and they're also complete little shits. Here are the Dads, having met reformed Cal near the end:
They pulled back and clapped him on the shoulders. “We shall find you a suitable vocation for the time being if you find the idea agreeable. We could use someone of your…unique talents.” Papi favored him with a toothy grin.
“I…yes. Yes, that’s uhh, agreeable.” You’d never seen him so unsure. It was cute.
Papa nodded curtly. “It is settled, then. Let’s go, Jekken, I suspect they yet have much to discuss.”
“Ah, discuss, yes, of course.” Another shark-like grin.
If you could have died from embarrassment, you would have dropped right then and there. “Can you two just…not? Oof, get out, both of you.” You planted a hand on each back and hurried them to the door.
“We’ll get things settled,” Papi said between chuckles, “and contact you soon. Stay put for now.”
“Yeah, yeah, go.” You closed the door and scrubbed a hand over your face. “Jeez. Dads.”
2. and there's a scene in a Fallout 4 Vulpes Inculta x Reader story I wrote. Vulpes isn't a nice person, but he's justified here. I had fun writing his uhhh calculating violent side (warning: BLOOD). For context, a recruit was curious about the woman Vulpes had in his tent and the recruit's intent was not good:
The recruit swallowed hard, eyes closing. Beads of sweat inched down his temple. “Yes? Yes, Master Inculta?”
“I’m feeling generous, so you get to pick. Your ear, your eye, or your cock. Which one will it be?”
“My-…my?” He said it like he couldn’t understand the choices.
“Ear, eye, or cock. If you don’t tell me in two seconds, I will choose for you.” He started to lower the blade, indicating his likely choice.
“Ear!” he blurted out.
With that, the knife slipped upwards in a harsh stroke; red spurted out and the recruit let out a loud yeowl.
Vulpes lowered the knife and bent over to pick up the ear, which he then held out. The recruit took it with a shaking hand, the other covering his earless side. Blood seeped between his fingers, dribbled over them. “Now,” Vulpes said, “I want you to put this in the privy. I’ll know if you don’t. And let this be a lesson to you and any others who would enter my tent without permission. Only Caesar himself may enter here. Do you understand?”
“Y-yes, Master Inc-Inculta! Yes!” He turned and ran through the tent flaps, not even bothering to push them aside.

Summary: (This is based on the Clone Wars episode ”The Gathering”) You and your youngling group are taken to Ilum for the Gathering.
——
”Y/n! Get up were going to meet Padawan Tano today for the gathering” you heard Katooni speak loudly from outside your room as you stood up from your bed.
”Thanks Katooni” you said and heard her say ”You’re welcome” from the outside. You packed all the things you would need for the gathering. All six of you (excluding Gungi cause he has furr) had been given thick jackets that people only wear on planets like Hoth which already told you it wasn’t the most inviting planet you were going to.
You read through the list of things you were told to pack and loaded your bag with everything you’d need. You left your room and saw that Byph, Katooni and Ganodi were waiting for you. ”Come on, let’s go get Petro, Gungi and Zatt” Ganodi said and the four of you walked towards to where there rooms were located.
On the way you heard someone behind you say ”Y/n! Wait up” you turned around and was met with Cal Kestis running towards you slowly followed by his new master Jaro Tapal.
”Good morning Cal” you said cheerily to the boy who stopped infront of you so suddenly he almost tripped. You then turned to his master who also had come over to you and said ”Good morning Master Tapal”
”Good morning Y/n” the master responded. Cal spoke up saying ”We just wanted to come wish you good luck before the gathering”. You smiled at the boy was one of your best friends despite not being in your youngling clan.
”Thank you Cal, Thank you Master Tapal” you said gratefully and gave the master and padawan a small bow. Cal then responded jokingly saying ”You are ever so welcomed Y/n” making a overdramatic bow to make fun of you.
You smiled and shook your head ”Good luck with whatever the two you are going to do” you said quickly and hurried of to the other younglings who were waiting for you.
After you picked up Petro, Gungi and Zatt you ran to the platform where Padawan Tano and your ship would be waiting.
”Hurry younglings” Ahsoka said as we approached and when you and the others stopped in front of her she spoke up again saying ”You have proved to be the top of your class and so now is the time of the gathering. For a jedi there is no greater challenge or honor”.
”What is the gathering about? Padawan Tano” Petro asked. ”Petro, Ganodi, Y/n, Byph, Katooni, Zatt and Gungi, the time has come for you to build your own lightsabers” Ahsoka revealed making you and your group cheer but it was interupted by Ahsoka saying ”Be warned, this is no simple task and many perils lie ahead of you, where we are going there is no place more sacred to the jedi”.
She then took you and the others on board the ship, you and your group were excitedly discussing what kind of lightsabers you were gonna get, like what color you wanted, if it was gonna be single blade, double blade or dual blade, that kind of stuff…
It didn’t take long for the ship to reach and land on Ilum and everyone put on their snow wear. Ahsoka walked in front as you all exited the ship, you could barely see where you were going as the strong snow storm blew right in your face.
Ahsoka led you to the front of what looked like a big glacier and then stopped, she bent down and brushed snow from a big circle on the ground. ”It’s a dead end” Petro said looking at the big glacier.
”Younglings, outstrech your hands and focus the force. Together, and only together, can we enter” Ahsoka instructed and lifted her hand towards the glacier. You and the others followed her lead and did the same.
Part of the glacier then started to rumble and lowered itself in to the ground until an entrance was revealed. Ahsoka then turned to you all and said ”Now hurry, the sun has already risen and we must begin”.
The temple was beautiful on the inside their were several staues of big jedi, walls with great detailed work and a bunch of pillars.
Waiting inside the temple was Master Yoda who sat in the center, you all approached him and Zatt said ”Master Yoda” and you all gave him a small bow.
”The force made physical, a jedi is, comes with great responsibillty with that, yes?” He asked in his usual slightly mysterious voice. You all nodded in response. ”Protect others, how does a jedi, hmm?” He asked and brought out his lightsaber and levitated it with the force and turned it on showing the famous green blade.
”Build your own lightsaber, you shall but first, harvest your crystal each one of you must” Yoda explained and whispers broke out among the youngling group once more.
Yoda then spoke up again saying ”The heart of the lightsaber, the crystal is. Focuses the force from the jedi, it does”. After he finished he used the force to melt another ice wall behind him to reveal another enterance. ”If a Jedi you are to become, enter the crystal cave, you must. Trust yourself, trust each other and succeed, you will” Master Yoda finished.
The seven of you then walked closer to the enterance and turned back to Ahsoka who started instructing ”Once you have found your crystal do not remain inside. As daylight ends, the door will freeze over again and you will be trapped.”
”For how long?” Ganodi asked slightly worried. ”For one rotation” Ahsoka answered simply. ”There will be nothing anyone can do for you” she continued. ”How will we know which crystal to pick?” Petro asked.
”Only you can know which one is yours” Ahsoka answered making you a little worried what if your crystal is like really far in to the cave and is really hard to get to, you then came with a question of your own ”Are we getting a map or something? What if we manage to find our crystal but not the way out?”
”The force your map is, guide you through the cave it will” Master Yoda answered to your question making you more worried than before. You were a person structure afterall, who liked to have some kind of guide to be dependant on for example a map, the force however is known to be quite tricky even when it’s meant to guide you.
”Now hurry” Ahsoka said and you and the others walked to the door into the cave.
”How do they expect us to find our crystals when the whole place is made up of ice?” Katooni asked.
”I don’t see the big deal, though, i could eaisily last a night in here” Petro said cockily. ”From my calculations taking into account the planetary movements in this system, um… the sun only rises on Ilum every 19 days” Zatt informed him.
”That’s a very long night” Katooni said as you approached a crossroad leading into two pathways. ”Well, i don’t know about you lot but enough with the chatter. I’m gonna be the first to get my crystal and get out of here” Petro said and started going down the left pathway. ”Petro, wait” Katooni said after him Petro stopped and Katooni continued ”Maybe we should stay together?”.
”No, thank you, your on your own” he said and ran off further down the left pathway. Katooni scoffed and said ”Come on, we need to keep moving” and the rest of you countinued down the right pathway. Gungi then said something in shyriiwook and Katooni answered ”You’re right, he is selfish”.
The six of you then reached a room that now had three different pathways. ”Uuh, which way now?” Ganodi questioned in a annoyed tone. ”We don’t have much time and we have no idea where the crystals are, we need to break into groups” Katooni stated. ”What? No” Ganodi said and Byph said something in ithorese probably meaning something similar to Ganodi.
”Are we Jedi or cowards? On the count of three close your eyes and point to a door and that’s the direction each of us will go” Zatt decided. He then counted to three and everybody closed their eyes and pointed in the direction of one of three pathways. You opened your eyes and saw you had pointed in the same direction as Ganodi and Gungi which was the middle path.
Byph the let out a scared noice as he had been the only one to pick the right path. ”Uh , sorry Byph. Looks like you’re on your own” Byth protested in ithorese and pointed at the middle path claiming he picked that one. ”Byph, your instincts told you to go that way, you have to follow your instincts” Katooni said.
But Byph still protested. ”You shoudn’t be afraid of monsters, Byph. You’re a Jedi” Katooni finished and you all started heading down your chosen path.
You, Ganodi and Gungi walked down the icy pathway where the only thing audible was your footsteps… wait there was something it sounded like a beautiful high pitched tone. ”Do you guys hear that?” you asked curiously looking at Ganodi and Gungi they both shook their head.
You looked for the source of the noice and found a big clump of ice blocking something. ”Help me move this block of ice” you requested and you and the two other younglings moved the block with the force.
Behind the block was a small tunnel that you would need to crawl through. ”I think this is where i need to go, wanna come?” you asked wanting more back up incase you needed help moving something more.
”No, i think me and Gungi should continue this way” Ganodi stated and Gungi nodded his head. ”Okay, good luck” you said getting more worried about what lay ahead of you.
You made your way through the tunnel for what seemed like twenty minutes, it was hard to tell, but eventually you came out on the other side.
You came out on a ice platform that stood over a big drop in to freezing water below on the other side there was another ice platform and there was something glowing on it. ”That must be my crystal” you thought to yourself.
But then you had a moment of realization the only way over was a row of several thin poles of ice that you would need to jump on to get across the other side. Of course you had the luck to be alone when if you misstep you’ll fall to your death and no one is here to catch you with the force.
”Okay focus” you said quietly to yourself but just as you were about to jump you stopped yourself. Your body wasn’t letting you do what your brain was telling you to do. ”Okay you can do this” you said to yourself trying to give yourself a peptalk. But once again your body wouldn’t let you move closer to the edge.
”I-I-….” you tried to say something to yourself to make you do this. ”I-I can’t… at least not alone” was all you could get out.
You then sat down on the platform trying to get your mind together so intstead of rushing to get over their you and meditated calling on the force to give you strength to do this alone.
You sat there meditating for maybe an hour until you felt the force was with you and would aid you and not let you fall. So you took a running start and jumped from pole to pole without stopping and letting your mind get in the way until finally you reached the platform on the other side.
You walked to glowing crystal only to realise there were two identical crystals. You picked both up and said to yourself ”Guess i’m gonna learn to dual wield my lightsabers”
You then jumped on the poles back to the side you came from and once again crawled through the small tunnel, when you arrived were you had seperated from Gungi and Ganodi you started running towards the enterance again, once you reached the doorway into the cave the ice was close to freezing over the enterance so you had slide under the ice.
You assumed that you would have been the last one out but grew worried once you saw that only four other younglings had returned.
You and the others stood waiting anxiously for Petro and Katooni to emerge from under the slowly descending ice wall.
And to some of your relief Katooni came sliding from under the wall just as it closed but Petro was no where to be seen.
”I have my crystal but Petro is still inside” she said worriedly. ”Give up on your friend do not” said Master Yoda and continued looking at the ice wall, so you and the others continued looking at the wall.
And suddenly Petro crashed through it and then held up his crystal. This caused you and the others to cheer for your friend.
”How did he break the ice” Ganodi asked Master Yoda. ”With a running start apparently” you answered making Master Yoda give away a light chuckle but then answered ”Only water made solid was the door, easy to break if you have the will”.
”You-You said we would be trapped” Katooni stated. ”Not by the cave you were trapped but by your mind” Yoda lectured and then continued ”Lessons you have learned”. He looked at Byph and said ”Find courage, you did”, then at Ganodi ”Hope”, then Gungi ”Patience”, then Zatt ”Trust”, then Katooni ”Confidence”, then Petro ”Selflessness” and lastly at you ”and Independence”.
”Take your crystals back to the temple and keep them safe young jedi” Yoda said making you all cheer at passing this test.
”Just wait till Cal hears about this you” said proudly holding up your two newly found lightsaber crystals.

Crowded | Cal Kestis x Male Reader
Tumblr media
Fandom: Star Wars, Jedi Fallen Order
Pairing: Cal Kestis x Male Reader
Summary: Cal and M/n get stuck in a crowd.
Ask: Cal and m/n holding hands because there's a crowd but not letting go when they get out of it.
~~~
Nar Shaddaa. Cal hated this planet. He hadn’t been to it during the Clone Wars, but he and his master had heard stories and whispers from pilots that had stopped there. They spoke of a planet much like Coruscant except for one big difference. The entire planet was ruled over and ran by the Hutt Clans.
That was a big difference.
Cal hoped he would never have to be there.
Cal ended up there.
After everything with the Holocron and escaping from Fortress Inquisitorious, the group needed to find someplace to lay low. Nar Shaddaa was NOT their first choice. Nar Shaddaa was literally the worst choice they could choose. The entire planet being ruled by the galaxy’s biggest gangsters made that very clear.
Of course, Nar Shaddaa was also filled with criminals and Bounty hunters. Literally, any person could turn on them in a second and claim the bounties on their heads. They would have kept their distance from the planet had the Mantis not needed to make an emergency landing. There was a problem with the engine and now Cal and M/n had been sent out to find a part to fix it.
Cal didn’t like it. Sure he and BD could have handled the streets of Nar Shaddaa just fine, but now there was another thing. M/n. His boyfriend was with them. Cal knew he should be focusing on the mission, just getting the part and coming back...but he was worried about M/n. He didn’t want anything to happen to him.
“SPEEDERS! NEWLEY IMPORTED SPEEDERS!”
“GET YOUR OWN MONKEY LIZARD!”
“COME SEE THE NAR SHADDAA PODRACE GRAND PRIX!”
Say what you will, the planet was lively for sure. Maybe if he wasn’t on the run he could enjoy it a bit more. Especially those podraces. But he was on the run and he was ready to get back to the ship and off this planet already. Especially to be with M/n.
“This place is...so cool.” M/n said next to him.
“Yeah. But I’d still feel better if you had stayed on the ship.” Cal said earning a glare from M/n.
“I told you, if I’m going to fix the engines, then I will pick out the part we need. Especially if these guys are going to try and swindle us.”
Cal sighed and shook his head. Just like his boyfriend to want to shop in person. Suddenly there was a wooshing and Cal watched as a train stopped close to them. He could see from the windows the train was packed...and everyone was about to get off. Cal quickly grabbed M/n’s hand.
“Cal what are-”
“Just hold my hand. I don’t want you to get lost.”
“What are you talking about? It’s not that busy.”
Just as he said that the doors of the train opened and the crowds came rushing out. The street that Cal and M/n were on went from being just a little busy to being overly crowded. M/n felt Cal’s grip on his hand tighten. “Come on!”
M/n griped onto Cal harder as well. He wasn’t wanting to get lost here. He’d have to apologize to Cal when he was out. He was definitely right. Cal continued to push the two of them through the crowd. Eventually, they reached the end where the streets widened and everyone spread out. The crowd seemed to disperse just as quickly as it appeared.
M/n noticed, however, Cal hadn’t let go of his hand. M/n didn’t remove his hand either. He was going to take this little walk with his boyfriend for as long as he could.
Cal has always been in love with you. But never said anything because he doesn't have the courage yet. He waits for you by your locker when he sees you, he smiles and starts to feel butterflies in his stomach.
He noticed the poster on the wall and it's promoting of the dance. He starts to think of ideas on how to ask you to dance. You noticed the posters too and you want to ask him but don't know-how.
”What are you thinking?” You asked him.
He jumped and he was deep in his thoughts.
”Oh um nothing. So, the big dance what do you think?” Cal said.
”I think I want to go. You?” You said.
”I heard um someone asked you to the dance but you turned him down” Cal said.
”Yeah. I didn't want to go with him” You said.
”Oh. W-who do you want to go with?” Cal asked.
You and Cal have lunch together. You try to give him hints that you want to go with him. You and Cal have feelings for each other but you two can't put the clues together.
”I want to wear a Star Wars tuxedo,” Cal said with a serious tone.
”Are you serious?” You asked.
You laughed and you were speechless. After lunch, you and Cal went to class and it is science.
You and Cal have been best friends since freshman year and met in science. You had a Star Wars notebook and he had on a shirt of it. He made the first move by asking what is your favorite Star Wars character. Since then it's history, you and Cal spent every day together even on the weekends.
”Really?” Cal asked.
”Yeah, really. So, Y/N what do you say?” Nate said.
”Can I think about it?” You asked.
”Yeah, sure let me know later,” Nate said.
”Yeah,” You said with a smile.
Nate walked away and Cal thinks you will say yes.
”Are you really go with him?” Cal asked.
”I don't know. Is there a reason that I shouldn't go with him?” You said.
”i don't think you should go with him,” Cal said.
”Why not? There has to be a reason why I shouldn't” You said.
”It’s your choice. I have to go” Cal said.
After school, you and Cal usually spend time together after school but not today.
✯ ✬ ✯ ✬
Since that argument, you and Cal haven't spoken to each other for days. He heard Nate brag about he is going with you to the dance. Cal felt jealous and angry.
Tonight is the dance and you are having a bad time with Nate. You are sitting down and drinking your juice, while is dancing with someone else.
”Y/N, you look handsome,” Cal said.
”I’m loving your suit. I’m surprised you came” You said.
He gave you a small smile and you stood up.
”Let’s dance,” You said.
He grabbed your hand and you follow him to the dance floor. You and Cal start to dance, you smile at him.
”I want to be your boyfriend. I liked you since freshman year and I didn't say anything because I was scared too. I actually wanted to come with you to the dance. I really like your suit no I actually love it” You said.
”I couldn't resist buying it,” Cal said.
You and Cal keep dancing and Nate is with someone else. You feel his lips on your lips, he starts to kiss you.
