#art from a while back #i played hk first and deepnest was like. the most uncomfortable ive ever been playing the game #mainly because its just so DARK #as for rw... when i got to shaded...... what the actual Hell #i eventually got used to just dying in the dark and exploring the first parts of the region but like. Why is it pitch black #i didnt even realize there was a path to the scav merchant at the first room..... i got to memory crypts before finding it in my next run #hollow knight #rain world #hk ghost #rw slugcat #rw survivor #artatat #?!?@?@?@?@ the alt text got removed for a sec Sorry about that im not sure why or how that happened #also im completely aware deepnest without a lantern is much darker but atleast it isnt pitch black. thinking about how Oda chosing Luffy, a pirate, to be the protagonist of One Piece may be one of the most brilliant story moves by any shonen mangaka ever. by virtue of its main character being an in-world criminal, OP naturally lends itself to becoming a story about the exposure of a society festering with corruption for what it really is, and the dismantling of a dystopia and its propagandist facade. you simply do not get a story like that with a shonen protagonist who conforms to or tolerates the shitty system they're born into

#one piece #luffy #monkey d luffy #ive been watching non-OP shonen lately and its been hitting me that for all of them #ALL OF THEM #their protagonists' hero journey is about climbing up the ranks of an established social structure #where that established structure in question is considered the 'good guys' in universe #and the protagonist more or less does not push against the structure no matter the consequences of that structure's actions #like yeah they'll question a moral quandary here or there but for the most part they're like #'this is how things work *shrug*'#im convinced that if OP is just another shonen its main character would've been Koby #anyway this is why OP is best shonen thank you for coming to my tedtalk

House M.D. but it's when a character says the name of the episode

#house md #prince's talk tag #flashing #repitition #so as i was watching this show i noticed they'd say the episode title in the episode #so i wanted to see how many times they did it #the people on livejournal who made transcripts of the episodes are my saviors and without them this would of been so much harder to do #thank you all for your service and i hope wherever you all are you're having a great day #sometimes they would use a variation of the word like in the episode poison they would say 'poisoned' or 'poisoning'#i did not include those instances #there was an instance in 'merry little christmas' where they do play the song in the show #but since ella fitzgerald was not a character in the show i did not include it #where as in the episode 'joy to the world' the students are singing it in the concert so i did include that #i apologize for the tonal whiplash when you get to that part but it did make me laugh #one of the times kutner says 'locked in' is overshadowed by the POTW's voice over but i assure you he says it and thats why its in there #out of the main characters from the one who said the title the most to least are #House > Foreman > Wilson > Chase > Cuddy > Adams > Cameron and Taub > Kutner > Thirteen and Park #this took a bit to do lolol its probably been done already but i wanted my own #there is a chance im missing some on technicalities but idc. im fine with this #there are two more i wanna do but with a character saying another character's name but ill do that some other time #EDIT: When I was making this video I was unaware that the Pilot episode went by two names: 'Pilot' and 'Everybody Lies'#Basically everywhere I looked the first episode was only referred to by 'Pilot'#which I found weird bc i remember seeing somewhere that the last episode was paired with the first episode in terms of title #but i couldn't find hard proof so I decided to leave it out at the time #well i checked again last night and yea the pilot IS also called Everybody Lies so I updated the video #I also think it goes well with the fact that House does say 'Everybody Dies' in the finale so another reason to fix it #AND he says it without Wilson while he and Wilson say the title of the pilot sooooo yea hehehehehe

Tim and Kon the type of boyfriends to respond to declarations of love by saying " cringe" like ratio.

For ex.

Tim being overcome with sappy feelings™ for his boyfriend looks up at Kon like " hey, I love you"

Kon looks at him and lifts an eye brow and says " cringe"

But he's also holding Tim's hand so.

This exchange also works the other way!

Ex.2

Kon being over come with a warm fuzzy emotion after seeing Tim round house kick a baddie to the ground is like. " Damn I love you!"

And Tim sweaty in his robin gear glares at him from behind his domino and says " Cringe"

They take turns being the emotional one and the chronically unable to show affection one. It's balance! It's Gen Z! It's two local rat dudes macking on each other!

#i like to think tim and Kon are separately the most annoying guys people know and when they come together its worse #theyre making fun of you for not being able to ollie when they unironically have tried to skate holding hands #they still try to dress like its the 90s and not in a cool way #tims wearing like a hollister polo shirt and khakis from the gotham good will this isnt cool.#worst part is you cant tell him shit about it cuz even in that fit hes got more game then u #conner hates that guy fr thats why hes engaged to him cuz hes a real hater #timkon #dc #batman #superman #superboy #conner kent #tim drake #red robin
