Catching up on asks and HOW DARE YOU LEAVE THAT TIDBIT IN THE TAGS. Almost left your hubbie for yoongi's brother EXCUSE ME 😂😂😂 can it be "another time" now please?? What is this story???
😂
I was hoping someone would ask about this, so thank you for indulging me.
Okay, so the short version is that I met Yoongi’s older brother at their family restaurant in Daegu in 2017.
The long version is that I found BTS in 2016 in the middle of what I now call my “quarter-life crisis”. I was going to be 30 soon and I was convinced that all the excitement and adventure in my life was over and I was doomed to be a boring old married lady forever. For some reason I decided the only way to cope with that fear was to go on a 6-week solo trip to South Korea. So I left my husband for over a month and went to Korea by myself.
I spent most of my time in Seoul, but I did spend a week in Busan and a day in Daegu. At the time, Yoongi’s family ran a sundae (blood sausage) restaurant in Daegu and I went there with a fellow ARMY who was visiting Korea at the same time. The restaurant well-publicized it’s BTS connection and used it for promotion, so they wanted ARMY to come.
So my friend and I arrived on a hot summer afternoon to find a handsome man in a black t-shirt hanging out in front of the restaurant. He greeted us and asked in English if we were ARMY (we were the only non-Koreans I had seen all day, Daegu was much less diverse than Seoul). He had the same nice soft-spoken slightly shy tone that Yoongi does when he speaks English. I told him yes and how I went to their concert in Newark and how fabulous they were and that's when he volunteered "I'm Suga's brother".
Now, I wish I had been smoother about this and asked his name or something like that, but it was all I could do to not burst into giggles. Instead I squeaked out an "Oh?!" that was supposed to be nonchalant, but definitely wasn’t, followed by a chirped "Nice to meet you!" He smiled and said "Nice to meet you!" before steering us into the restaurant.
It was clear that he had been waiting outside for customers because there was only one other occupied table at the time. I suspect most Koreans don’t go for hot blood sausage on 90 degree days. But that meant Yoongi’s brother was free to give us a lot of attention. He showed us where the chopsticks were, and explained how to get more kimchi. He reached across me to show us where the seasonings were and I stared way too hard at his forearm. He gave us a few minutes to decide what we wanted, then came back to take our order. We both got the soup. It was only $5. I would have paid so much more.
The soup was boiling hot when it arrived. In my overexcitement, I immediately stuck a whole piece of boiling blood sausage in my mouth and burned the top of my mouth quite badly. But I looked up and Yoongi’s brother was watching me eat the sausage!! I can’t spit out Yoongi’s brother’s sausage! So I took a bunch of deep breaths and drank my water and I swallowed that hot sausage.
I spent the next 15-20 minutes nursing a serious crush on Yoongi’s older brother. He was really cute and nice and smiled a lot. He had dark hair and earrings and his posture reminded me a lot of Yoongi. He came over at the end of the meal to ask us how the food was. I chirped "mas iss-eoyo!" which is one of the few korean phrases I knew at the time (“It's delicious”). He smiled and said "mas iss-eoyo? Thank you!"
The best and worst part came when it was time to pay and as I was paying, he asked again if I liked the blood sausage, and then said “you ate it so passionately!” I must have given him a confused look, because he clarified “it was so hot and you had to drink the water”. He’d been watching me! And noticed how I ate the blood sausage too fast! Gah! I wish I had been clever enough or confident enough to make joke about how I would eat his sausage any time. But alas, I am not the main character and I just blushed and giggled as we said goodbye and went on our way.
So I didn’t actually almost leave my husband for Min Yoongi’s brother. But in the fictional version of my life where I always say the coolest thing, I might have.
Do you think taekook go on trips together which we dont know about? And if they go, why don't we see any tweet about sightings?
Hello there,
Yes, I do think they go on trips together because they've told us themselves.
This image, posted on Tae's Birthday, was from a trip that took place probably October that we didn't hear about until the PTD on Stage Las Vegas shows, in a HopeVMinKook VLive where Tae mentioned them going on holiday and dressing each other up.
Also, they've been going on trips together alone as early as 2016. Tae once won 4-day 3-night cruise and a Miyako, Okinawa holiday for two.
Tae, gave the cruise holiday to his parents, but Tae took JK to the Holiday part of the prize. We know this because...
For JK's Birthday in 2017, Tae posted this on Twitter:
The right hand photo was taken at the Royal Hotel OKINAWA ZANPAMISAKI:
And in 2018 BTS went there and used the hotel as part of their Season's Greetings DVD where Tae took the left hand photo plus this one:
So, it's likely there are other trips that the pair have gone on that we don't know about.
The reason we don't hear of any sightings? They probably go on trips that are private and secluded away from prying eyes and like most hidden celebrity couples they travel separately on different days and leave Korea for different locations and get connecting flights to their destination all to evade detection. Or they get private jets, where you don't have to publicly publish the final destination.
But here's the thing, you sometimes get a rumour...
Remember about a month or so a go about, some KMedia streaming sites started live-streaming from Incheon Intl Airport saying JK was leaving for something, only for JK not to turn up. Then about a week later I saw this tiktok professing that JK and Tae had been in Paris and Spain and had travelled privately:
This was "leaked" by some on twitter who I think claims to work for HYBE, but I don't know for sure. So make of it what you will.
I think we'll occasionally hear about their trips together, most likely as is usually the case, from Tae.
let's say you became army just a little while before dynamite, but you already had two army friends. one of them became army in 2014 and the other one in 2016. none of them ever had the opportunity to see them in person, even though BTS has been to your country 4 times (2014, 2015, 2017 and 2019). you too couldn't even dream with it, 'cause the show always happens in the economic center of your country and you and your friends live far away from it and you all have no money to go there.
you really got into them, their contents and (most importantly) their discography. you did your best to understand their story. you've searched a lot, you've seen a lot of interviews, you've read the lyrics to each one of their songs in albums, mixtapes, soundclound, youtube, everything... to some songs, you read and read it again, you learned with older armys and even with your own friends, you've watched a lot of old shows, you've watched all episodes of bon voyage, season greetings, run bts, summer package, winter package etc etc, just to get to know them better. you know how important they have been to your life since then, you know how they have build a house in your heart, you know that you may not be here today if it wasn't for them, you just know it all... and you've already talked about it a lot of different times with your friends, you know them and they know you, you understand each other's feelings. you even got closer to both of them when you became army. right now, in 2022, your path has separated from one of them, just because of how life goes... but you still talk to one of them.
then your brother says that he will take you to their next show when they come to your country again. he is really generous. he lives financially well, but he isn't rich and he has already done so much for you... you get that he woudn't be able to pay everything to other(s) person(s).
you got really happy with the news, going to their concert is THE dream of your life, but that was really distant, it absolutely wouldn't happen soon and the odds of happening in the future were so little that you didn't even believe it... all of it untill your brother said that. but deep in your heart you feel guilty, 'cause your friends have been armys for so long, for much more time than you. you just can't help but feeling guilty :/ you don't know how they would genuinely feel about it but you know that they would never say something negative about it to you.
would you feel guilty? is it normal that i'm feeling like this? they really save my life every day and they have been my one and only source of light ever since i met them, i know this in my heart too... but i feel so guilty :( they both have experienced the feeling of "receiving" them in our country and not being able to see them at least twice. is it right that i get to do this?
hello anon 💖 hope you are doing well
let me tell you that i completely understand what you are going through and what are you feeling right now. i would feel guilty about it too because i would also want my friends to go with me and i would feel bad if i was the only one going, but the thing is that your brother cannot afford to take you all to the concert and your friends need to understand that. yes, they can get hurt, but if they are your real friends, i know they will support you and be happy for you too. i don't want you to feel guilty because deep down you know you also deserve to see them on stage, everyone deserves to see them on stage no matter how long you have been an army 💗
I need this so much. All the luck in the world is also not sufficient. #BTS #BTSmemes #BTSfunnymemes #BTSseasonsGreetings #BTSseasonsGreetings2017 #BTSseasonsGreetingTeaserPhotos #BTSpraying #prayingForMarks #funny #memes #funnymemes #FunnyBTS #cuteBTS
