The Entrelac Crochet Tutorial Masterpost
A really neat crochet technique is called entrelac, which is also available for knitting. But, as we all know: I don’t knit😂🤣. At first it can seem really daunting to pick up entrelac crochet because the pattern seems so intricate, but once you get the hang of it, it’s really easy and the end result is just stunning 🤩, especially with a good color combination.
So, here’s a few tutorials to get you started, enjoy!

My crochet picnic blanket is finally all done!
15|07|2023
I honestly wasn't planning on posting anything today, but my big blanket project is all finished and I am so proud I wanted to share it. Making this blanket took me a lot but less than expected. While making this I listened to two full audiobooks, listened to some great music and sat around my entire house. I worked on this on my balcony, on every sofa, on my bed and sitting on the floor. At the end I ran out of some yarn so I changed the peoject for the edge but I am still happy with this funky result! I cannot wait to test it out in my garden, and to find a new crochet project to work on. It's honestly such a relaxing and meditative activity I wish I always had a project in the works. Before I'll think of something else I might teach myself how to do embroidery as I had mention in one of my last posts. I feel like this summer will be just me reconnecting with my creative side as much as I can.
Chill hobbit summer activities of today:
Worked in the morning (not really into my chill hobbit summer plans but I gotta make some money and so I am working Saturdays)
Lots of silly times woth my brother since we were working together today and there weren't lots of people in the store
Blasted the new pvris album a lot
Finally finished my picnic blanket
Practiced Irish and French on duolingo

So, A while ago I got gifted a ton of these different fabric swatches (originally from like a furniture store or something?). There were like 5 or 6 different fabrics in all colors of the rainbow, and naturally.. I will make a quilt.
I chose a simple enough pattern because honestly, I can't be bothered for complicated ones. Rainbow has gotta be enough ^^ I did prewash all the pieces to clean them after laying in a cellar for a long time and also to allow them to shrink.
So, after cutting all the pieces and laying them down on my floor I realised that I have'nt got enough of them. It would make a very small blanket indeed and I was actually aiming for something 1,20 m X 1,80.
So I spend another evening cutting out pieces of white fabric to bolster my rainbow a bit. This was the result after laying it on the floor:
I put in two overlapping rows to break the white up a bit, I don't want it to go all the way down separating the colored bits, I think that would be to much. This way it's symmetrical and pleases my eye :) There are some pieces missing because I haven't found fitting facric swatches. Will find them soon I hope
Next step is going to be sewing the rows. Gonna try to iron more inbetween than I have done with my previous quilts.

This is the first time I made a rainbow blanket with vertical stripes and I think it turned out pretty well. ^_^ It's a tad narrower than I'd like, but at least it's fairly long at 80 rows, so that can make up the difference. :) <3<3<3

Working on a wooleater blanket for my boyfriend. The pattern does seem daunting at first, and I admit: it is a LOT of work, but it’s really easy once you get the hang of it. And the results are gorgeous ❤️
