What if Katsuki gets banned from seeing Izuku until his heart heals because his heart can't handle being around Izuku...
He has a heart rate monitor on 24/7, it's embarrassing because he knows the effect Izuku had on him, he just didn't realise how big of an effect it was.
They're testing the monitor out and Izuku comes in. Katsuki's heart rate spikes and the nurses are panicking, thankfully the doctor understands and calmly asks Izuku to leave.
Returning to school and seeing Izuku makes it pick up but not enough to worry anyone, but when Izuku approaches him with a wide smile he gets a message from his doctor to confirm if he's conscious or not.
So he's banned from speaking to him. Which is hell. After the war, after everything, he wants nothing more than to stay close to Izuku and now he's not allowed.
It also makes things... complicated. Izuku is informed to stay away from Katsuki until he's healed more. He assumes it's something that applies to everyone until he walks into class and sees Katsuki talking to Kyoka like everything's normal.
Izuku first thinks maybe Kyoka didn't know, but didn't want to disturb them because Katsuki looked happy, so he asked Mina if she was aware. She wasn't.
So now Izuku's spiralling, thinking he did something wrong and made Katsuki so angry his heart can't handle speaking to him. Unaware it's almost the exact opposite.
Katsuki notices Izuku's distance, distance beyond what had been asked from him. He wouldn't look at Katsuki, no matter the situation. Katsuki misunderstood it as some form of rejection, that Izuku had figured out his feelings and they made him uncomfortable.
He collapsed in the middle of class, his heart failed and he almost died. Whilst he's out Izuku is weird, he only visits once, apologies on his lips for an incident he couldn't remember, because it didn't exist.
Katsuki wakes up and eventually confesses to what happened, and Mitsuki laughs because her son is an idiot. You had to be blind to not see how much Izuku adored him.
Katsuki is banned from seeing Izuku still but they find a solution. Texting. It was so obvious, embarrassingly so. Sure, Katsuki's heart rate still picked up to almost dangerous levels, but it was better than his heart failing when they were apart.
Timeskip two months later and Katsuki's heart is as good as it's gonna get so the Izuku ban is lifted and ever the dramatic Katsuki makes their reunion their first date, a picnic by the stream where Katsuki should have taken Izuku's hand the first time.

All You Had To Do Was Stay
And the one person keeping Izuku from leaving was Katsuki.
Katsuki. His Kacchan. The boy with the anger issues, with the spiky blonde hair, with the vermillion eyes that complimented Izuku’s viridian.
Because if Izuku left, he wouldn’t get the gentle kisses, the ruffling of his hair, the soft-spoken words in his ear anymore.
If Izuku left, another part of himself would die. And he’d already lost too much.

Izuku wants to save Shigaraki. But Katsuki is in his way of that being possible.

Izuku wants to leave and Katsuki no no wanna

Izuku hadn’t felt alive in a long time. Well, he did sometimes. But not entirely. And it ate him whole.
He’d promised a long time ago that he wouldn’t leave. Not again. Not after he became a vigilante and left Class 1-A.
“Mm. Izuku.” Katsuki mumbled in his sleep, his hand moving over the boy’s chest. “Stay.”
That was why he could never bring himself to leave. Because every night, when Katsuki was asleep, he’d say one word.
Stay.
But Izuku couldn’t. Not when Shigaraki was a world-wide threat and not while Izuku didn’t know himself whether he was going to be the one to kill the villain or not. Or, whether he was going to kill Shigaraki at all.
He sighed. He needed to leave—he couldn’t put Katsuki in any more danger. “Kacchan.” He muttered, tapping the boy’s shoulder.
No answer. He sighed again, and shook Katsuki awake, gently.
Katsuki groaned, opening his eyes. “Izuku?” He asked groggily, looking up at him. “What—why’d you wake me up?”
“I—I just wanted to look at you for a bit.” Katsuki nodded, then his eyes narrowed. He sat up quickly. “What?” Izuku asked.
“You’re leaving again.” Izuku opened his mouth, then closed it. “Don’t give me that fucking look, Izuku, you’re leaving, aren’t you?” Izuku sighed, bowing his head in shame. “For fucks sake.”
“I want you to be safe-“
“So stop playing hero!” Katsuki shouted, grabbing Izuku’s hands. “All you’ll do by leaving is make me feel like shit again. Do you want that to happen?” Izuku shook his head. “So stop thinking about it.”
“I have to, Kacchan.” Izuku said. “As One For All’s successor-“
“Fuck One For All! This is about us! You and me! Don’t give up before we’ve even started!” Izuku stared into Katsuki’s eyes, and Katsuki stared back, plea lacing his voice. “Stay.”
There it was. That word again. That word that jabbed through Izuku’s chest and punctured his heart.
He shook his head. “I can’t. Not when Shigaraki is an international threat. Not when I’m the one that should be out there fighting him, helping him.”
“Stay.”
“They’ll kill him!” Izuku yelled.
“Yeah? He’s basically All For One now-“
“He’s just a kid! Like you, like me, he—he’s just a kid! He was manipulated, and groomed, and changed, but all he is is a messed up kid! Like you, like me!” Izuku shouted.
“Kacchan, I can’t just let them kill him.” He said.
“Take me with you.” Katsuki pleaded, his grip tightening on Izuku’s hands.
“I can’t do that.”
“Why?”
“He’ll kill you.”
“But-“
“No!” Izuku yelled. “I’m not losing you!”
Katsuki stared at him, then said in a solemn voice, “And you don’t think I’m afraid of losing you, too?” Izuku pursed his lips. “This is a suicide mission, Izuku-“
“Yeah. And he’ll kill me or I’ll die trying to save Shimura Tenko. That’s my purpose.”
“To die?” Katsuki yelled.
Izuku narrowed his eyes. “Everyone’s purpose is to die-“
“You’re not even fucking seventeen yet, Izu!” Izuku’s heart stopped everytime Katsuki shortened his name. “Kids who are sixteen don’t die fighting a war! Not usually!”
“I’m not a normal kid.” Izuku bit.”
Katsuki scoffed. “Well, no fucking shit. My point is- my point is that I fucking need you, okay? For fuck’s sake, Izuku, I love you.”
Izuku stared at Katsuki. Then, he got up, pulling his hands out of Katsuki’s grip. “Izuku?”
Izuku pulled on his costume, then Gran Torino’s scarf. “You—you’re not even going to say it back?” Izuku paused, then walked over to the door. “Can’t you be selfish for one second of your damn life?”
“I am being selfish. If I was being selfless, I would’ve stayed here with you and let Shigaraki die at the hands of a hero or All For One.” Izuku said.
“Then let me be selfish.” Katsuki got up and walked over to Izuku, grabbing his face. “And make you stay.”
“You can’t change my mind, Kacchan.” Yes you can, Izuku thought, But I won’t let you.
“Please. I love you.” And there it was again. The words that made Izuku want to break himself into pieces for Katsuki to have all for himself.
Izuku almost said it. The response. But he didn’t. He just stared into Katsuki’s eyes, maintaining a cold gaze against Katsuki’s beggard one. Izuku fought the urge to go back to bed and pretend that this all never happened.
Because Katsuki would let him do that. Katsuki would let him do anything. Just not leave.
“I need you.” Katsuki said. Izuku grabbed the collar of his shirt and pulled him forward, almost instinctively. The boy’s lips met in a crash, and they collided roughly.
Tongue clashed against tongue. Fingernails dug into waists. Hands went up shirts.
And eventually, Izuku pulled away, then moved backwards. “Goodbye. Katsuki.”
“No- no!” Katsuki yelled, running forward. But he was met with a door. “Izuku!” He pulled it open and ran out, but there was nothing to be seen.
No Izuku. No boyfriend. No lover. Nobody.
He fell to the floor and sobbed. A few hours later, he woke up, and he went back to bed, his hand on Izuku’s side, desperately searching for the boy.
But he was nowhere to be found.

FIRECRACKERS IN YOUR POCKET
Izuku hadn't seen this jacket in ages. The faded red and cream colour of the fabric feeling dusty and worn between his fingers as he gently held it in his hands. He was sitting on the bedroom floor, going through his and Kacchans old clothes that they wanted to give away for charity. He didn't think Kacchan was willing to part from his favourite jacket from when he was 12. ( Or even 13?) He didn't even know the blond still held onto it after all these years. Izuku remembered how the younger Katsuki would wear it day after day: the varsity jacket that used to be way too big for him at that time.
They were both 25 now, having grown out of most of their clothes from younger years. Izuku wondered if Kacchan would still be able to wear this one, though. He sighed, drunk on nostalgia, and laid the jacket down. It still smelled faintly of the smoke of the fireworks Kacchan loved to play with as a kid.
Firecrackers.
It was a nice memory: Kacchan and him running through the streets in the evening, the sun slowly setting behind them as Kacchan lit his Firecrackers.
They got into trouble for that a lot of times actually, but they usually got away with a light scolding from the adults. Izuku always felt bad afterwards, having disappointed his mom and the other grownups. Yet he would always join Kacchan again, loving the feeling the other errupted in him, misinterpreting it for the adrenaline of doing something they were not allowed to do.
Now Izuku knew better, knew that spending time with Kacchan would always feel like that. Back then he had a huge crush on the blond, and he didn't even know. Now, over ten years later, he was still head over heels for him. He smiled softly as the memory warmed his heart.
“Kacchan?”
Izuku swiftly stood up from the floor, tightly gripping the jacket as he left their bedroom to search for the blond.
“Hm?”
He followed the voice to the living room where his boyfriend was sprawled all over the couch. Red eyes meeting his green ones.
A slight blush covered Izukus cheeks.
“Can you… Can you maybe put this on?” He said, holding the jacket out to Katsuki.
The blond looked at the fabric in the other's hands, eyebrows raised.
“That old thing? Why?”
“Please?”
“Hmpf. You wanna have a fanboy moment or what.”
“Kacchan, no! That's not… That's not what I… ugh!!” Izuku turned red, shoving his face into the jacket to hide.
“Calm down, nerd. I’ll put it on for you, ‘kay?” Katsuki said, smirk playing on his lips as he stood up from where he was laying and gently took the fabric from Izukus hands.
“Why are you so flustered over this anyways? You've seen me butt naked plenty of times. What is it with this old ass jacket?”
Izuku watched as Katsuki put the jacket on, warmth spreading all throughout his body and making his heart jump funnily in his chest. Kacchan still looked like his Kacchan from his memories.
Taller? Yes. More muscles? Definitely. More handsome? Maybe.
Kacchan has always been pretty to him, always stole the show from anyone else. And that didn't change for Izuku.
“Deku.”
Izuku shook his head to clear his thoughts and actually looked at his boyfriend standing right in front of him.
“You look just like when you were 12.”, he blurted out.
“HAH???”
“EEK, Sorry! I- I mean… you just always used to wear this jacket when we were younger… just seeing it brought back all the memories from back then, you know? When you had these firecrackers and … t-that one time we had to run away from security because you lit it too close to the Chanel store entrance and.. and just… you loved that jacket-”
“You're mumbling, nerd. C’mere.”
Katsuki reached for his hands and pulled him closer, wrapping Izuku’s arms around his torso while resting his head on a mop of deep veridian curls. Izuku pressed even closer and slipped his hands into the pocket of the jacket when he felt something cold touch his hand. He furrowed his brows, trying to feel what it could be.
“What's up,” Katsuki asked from above him, having realised Izukus uncertain state.
“Kacchan..”
Shining green eyes looked up to him, making Katsuki raise his brows at his boyfriend's expression.
“Look!”
Izuku took a step back and opened his hands for Katsuki to see. There laid a single firecracker in the palm of his hands, having presumably been inside of that pocket for many years.
“Hell yeah!” The blond said, a grin spreading over his face as he grabbed the firework from his boyfriends hand. “Better light this babygirl right now”
“What??? Right now??”, Izuku squeaked at his sudden outburst.
“Yeah.”
“Kacchan!! Not in the apartment…”, he warned but quickly realised that Katsuki was headed for their balcony doors.
The blond pushed the door open and didn't hesitate to heat up his own palms in the cool evening air.
“Ready, Deku? Let's fuck this shit up!!”
Izuku smiled at the picture right in front of him. Katsuki in his varsity jacket, lighting a firecracker and the sun setting right behind him, making his hair glow in a warm golden tone. He was reliving this memory and it made his heart clench. He loved this man so much.
Izuku wasn't even listening to the youthful excitement of his boyfriend as his palms set the firework to life and bright sparks lit up their balcony.
He could watch this forever. He could watch /him/ forever.
And he knew he couldn't let this jacket go.
Or the man wearing it.

I'd say I'm really good with dialogue. Not only did a read (and write) a lot while growing up, I also was/am a very social person so I have a pretty good sense of certain speech patterns and tones and how to make it flow out naturally and smoothly.

Pairing: Bakugo Katsuki x Midoriya Izuku
WC: 1,280
Tags: hurt/comfort, sharing a bed, anxiety, dissociation, crying, one shot
Summary: Over the years they’ve spent at UA, Katsuki and Izuku have come to an understanding: they help each other sleep at night. What they have beyond that, they’re not sure. But they’re in it together.
Izuku sings Katsuki a song, and Katsuki tries to come to terms with his feelings.
Bonus: here’s the song cover that inspired this fic
youtube
Tumblr media
1.
It’s silent, the understanding they’ve grown to accept.
It always has been.
A hand reaches up in the dark and knocks softly on the door in front of him.
Katsuki is met with green doe eyes and dark, messy hair.
Izuku is met with a husk of the person he knows.
“Hi, Kacchan,” he says with a small smile once the door is shut.
It’s a greeting and a litmus test.
Katsuki doesn’t answer, but stares blankly across the room, not meeting his gaze. He looks so far gone that Izuku’s not sure he’d recognize himself in a mirror, let alone anyone else.
Meaning he’s still going to be like this in the morning, or he’s on the verge of complete breakdown. Or both.
He leaves his shoes at the door and follows Izuku back to bed. Izuku wraps his arms around Katsuki, whose head is now buried in his neck. They don’t even bother with blankets, knowing they’ll keep each other warm.
Izuku softly hums a familiar tune. Katsuki doesn’t move or make a sound, but Izuku can feel the tears on his skin before eventually, he drifts off to sleep.
2.
With Izuku, he’s learned to stop locking his door at night. In fact, he deliberately unlocks it once the dorm lights are out, just in case. Izuku hates knocking. No, on nights like this, he slips in quietly. Eyes puffy, cheeks red and tear stained. Katsuki is still awake in bed and meets Izuku’s eyes the moment he walks in. He stands there silently with his hands in his pockets, and waits as the world crumbles around him.
Katsuki lifts his chin. “C’mere, nerd,” he says softly.
He’s already taking off his shirt anticipating that Izuku will do the same. Katsuki can tell by the panicked look on his face that Izuku needs skin contact, and while that always makes him too warm, he does it anyway because it’s the fastest way he’s found to calm Izuku down.
Izuku crawls into bed with Katsuki and clings to him like he’s the only one who can keep him from drowning. Katsuki pulls him in closer still, hoping he can do just that, if only for a moment.
3.
This time, it’s bad. Really bad.
Katsuki is already in tears when Izuku answers. He’s hit with a crushing hug as the door falls shut. Katsuki smells like fire and smoke. There’s a fresh cut on his cheek and a scrape that looks hastily bandaged on his upper bicep. Izuku reaches up and pulls Katsuki’s head into his shoulder.
“I fucking hate you. I hate you, you stupid fucking nerd. I hate you,” he says, angry and hushed, choking back a sob.
“That’s okay, Kacchan. It’s okay.”
When Katsuki says that, Izuku hears what he means.
“I’m hurting. I’m hurting and I’m sorry and I need you so fucking much I can’t stand it. Please just make it stop.”
“Fuck you,” Katsuki spits back.
“Nothing is okay.”
“I know,” Izuku says.
Katsuki pulls away and starts taking off his clothes. A rare occurrence, but soon enough he’s down to his boxers and Izuku follows suit. Izuku pulls him by the hand over to the bed. He lies down and Katsuki curls up on his chest, nestled against his body and laying between his legs. Izuku wraps his arms around Katsuki, one hand running through messy, knotted blonde hair that he’d clearly been pulling at before he arrived.
He doesn’t explain himself. Doesn’t want to. He rarely ever has. Katsuki just needs, and Izuku needs to be there.
“Please, ‘Zuku,” he whispers. “I need to hear it.”
Izuku. Not many nights warrant that name, but right now he’s not surprised. Izuku is grabbing his phone off the nightstand to play the song aloud, and-
“No. Just you. Please.”
His voice is small and almost pleading, and Izuku is sure his heart might break from the pain lacing his words. He sets his phone back down and returns his hand to Katsuki’s hair. Izuku sings softly in a key he can manage, pronouncing the foreign words as best he can from memory.
“When the rain is blowing in your face
And the whole world is on your case,
I could offer you a warm embrace
To make you feel my love.”
He’s shaking out quiet sobs in Izuku’s arms. Tears are streaming up his chest and down his neck. Katsuki’s hand is gripping his so tightly, Izuku wonders if his hand might break if it weren’t for him matching Katsuki’s strength. But he continues.
“When the evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one there to dry your tears,
I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love.”
It’s almost too much, hearing him cry like this. The soft, gut-wrenching sobs of a seventeen year old little boy begging the pain to stop. Begging the panic and guilt and fear to “shut the fuck up for thirty goddamn seconds.” Izuku can understand that much, at least. He’s had his own pain like that wrapped up tightly in the same arms that are in his now.
“I know you haven't made your mind up yet,
But I could never do you wrong.
I've known it from the moment that we met;
No doubt in my mind where you belong.”
It’s taken all Izuku has to hold back tears of his own. He hates to see someone who means so much to him hurt so deeply. But he doesn’t stop. He means every damn word. He always has. He doesn’t care anymore if the lines are blurred. Doesn’t care if they never figure out what the hell hurts so much, or if what they have stays exactly as it is for the rest of their lives.
And that’s what breaks him. Tears are rolling down, running onto his cheeks, into his hair, and they won’t stop. He swallows hard and takes a slow breath because he’s still not done.
“I'd go hungry, I'd go black and blue.
I'd go crawling down the avenue.
No, there's nothing that I wouldn't do
To make you feel my love.”
Somewhere inside, Katsuki knows he means it. That’s why it hurts so fucking much. He knows that it doesn’t matter how long it takes, Izuku will be there. That this - safe in the arms of someone he loves - is where he belongs. And it fucking hurts like hell. He hates it. He hates that it makes him feel like he’s turning himself inside out, hates that it’s true. But all of that is still too big and scary to face. All he can do is weep until this feeling passes.
“The storms are raging on the rolling sea
And on the highway of regret.
The winds of change are blowing wild and free.
You ain't seen nothing like me yet.”
Neither of them really knows what this is anymore, this thing they have. If you ask Katsuki, he’d still say it’s hardly a friendship. It’s just “shitty Deku,” the one he needs to sleep at night, of course they’re not friends. Ask Izuku, and he might tell you something closer to the truth, but still insist that he and Kacchan aren’t that close, and no, they never really were.
“I could make you happy, make your dreams come true.
No, there’s nothing that I wouldn't do.
Go to the ends of the Earth for you
To make you feel my love.
To make you feel my love.”
They don’t know if what they have will change or stay the same, but tonight it doesn’t matter. Right here, right now, they have each other to weather the storm. And for now, that’s enough.

Tags: Bakugou & Izuku, post-war, introspection, friendship/love, fluff (could be read as gen or slash)
Summary: Where Bakugou feels guilty about their childhood, Izuku doesn't know what to say, and they find that they don't need many words to communicate, after all.
Izuku lets his gaze drop to Kacchan’s fists, instead, and finds them clenched so tight he’s surely leaving half-moon impressions on his palms. There’s no smoke leaking out between his bone-white knuckles but, then again, Kacchan has always had impeccable control of his quirk. And they had always communicated better with their hands, hadn’t they?

Let Me In!
Inspired by Rael!
"Someone said i can stay here where the fuck is the man who said that" - Drunk Zuku.
- - - -
Izuku is cold. Which in his opinion is absolute bullshit.
Shouldn't alcohol make you warm?
Why is he freezing his nuts off?
Oh. Maybe because he is locked outside. No he didn't forget his key, he can't forget his key to a place he doesn't live.
See Izuku's friend, Dabi offered to let Izuku stay the night at his place after Izuku was done bar hopping with their group friends. Since ya know Dabi lived in the area and it was much safer to just stay with a friend rather than drive home.
It's 3 am.
Izuku is done bar hopping and is standing outside of Dabi's apartment building pressing his buzzer. Well at least Izuku thinks this is his apartment building and that this is Dabi's buzzer.
Honestly he is way too drunk to be sure.
"Come on Dabi" Izuku whines as he presses the buzzer again.
No answer.
Izuku tilts his head back letting out a puff of air. His breath clouds in the air, and his head spins a little. Staring up at the sky does not help it, so he put his head down with a groan.
"Dabi you piece of shit" He curses pressing the buzzer again, not realizing he is pressing the wrong one.
It rings... and rings.... and /rings/
Then an answer.
"Do you have any idea what time it is asshole?"
Izuku's head snaps up too fast for his drunk mind but he smiles big "Dabi?? Dabi let me up i'm tired and cold... and kinda hungry"
"Who the fuck is Dabi?"
"You??"
A baby wails in the background and the person tiredly groans and says "Listen man. Fuck you, your constant buzzing woke my newborn. Stop ringing my bell"
Before Izuku can even congratulate them on their baby. The intercom goes quiet, leaving Izuku slightly dumbfounded because
"Dabi doesn't have a baby" his face scrunches "Does Dabi have a baby?"
Izuku rings another (incorrect) bell, even holds the button down and closes his eyes because the sound intercom is making, soothes whatever oddity is happening in his drunk haze mind.
Then after a solid five minutes, the intercom is picked up.
"Motherfucker" the most gravelly, deepest, hottest, while yes sleep ridden but still hot voice says "Do you have any idea what the time is?"
Izuku's eyes are wide open and mouth dropped open because "Oh-hooo you are /not/ Dabi! You sound wayyy too /hot/ to be Dabi!"
Sober Izuku would /never/ be in this kind of situation and IF he did happen to find himself in this situation. He'd have half the brain to call his friend to be like "Hey man im downstairs". He'd also have a brain to mouth filter but Izuku /isn't/ sober so his brain? Gone.
He has no filter. Izuku says what he thinks when he thinks it.
"Dude what?" The voice says
"Hey mister hot voice let me in" Izuku replies ignoring the voice
"The fuck? Dont you live here? Use your key."
"No way! I live across town! Im looking for my friend"
"Do /they/ live here?"
"Uh huh"
"Then ring their bell! Fuck you ringing mine for you dickhead"
Izuku lips pursed together and he makes a face like he ate something sour "Well. I thought I did. Anyways, I'm really cold. Let me in pleasssseeee"
- - - -
Tiredly Katsuki stares at his intercom, eye squinting because it's 3 in the morning. He works tomorrow and here this random stranger is just ringing on his bell.
The stranger is looking for Dabi... who the fuck is Dabi? What kinda shit name is Dabi?
"I don't know you!" Katsuki says into the intercom "im not letting you up"
"Come on please? I'll be good! Im potty trained and everything!"
Okay this guy is not sober at all. Who the fuck just says shit like that? What is this guy a dog?
"Get outta here! And don't ring my bell again" Katsuki shuts off the intercom.
Then it buzzes again
"For fucks sake" he grumbles pressing the button to answer "What?"
"Let me innnnnnnnn"
"Why dont you fuckin call your friend? Are you stupid?"
"Oh! That's a great idea!" Katsuki can practically hear the fucker smiling "please hold"
Katsuki has no idea why he actually listens, he has no idea why he answered a second a time knowing full well it's a drunken idiot.
"Ah! Oh no! My phone's dead" there's a quiver in the drunk man's voice "I have to bury it! Oh my god my phones dead"
Katsuki facepalms, this guy is probably worse then fucking dunce face when his smashed. There's a sniffle on the other end of the intercom and Katsuki scowls
"Are you fucking crying?"
"N-no! Just someone said i could stay here! Where the fuck is the man who said that?" The person yells "It's so cold out here my dick receded into my body man"
As if to emphasize how cold they are, Katsuki hears the distinct noise of teeth chatter. Katsuki steps away from his intercom to look outside the window where he can see the front of his building.
Someone is down there, in the cold.
/Again/. Katsuki has no idea /why/ he does this. Against his better judgment
He buzzes the dude in.
"Oh you are a saint!" The guy yells
Katsuki rolls his eyes and shuts off the intercom. The guy can find his friend's apartment and if not sleep in the hall.
What's the worst that could happen?
Katsuki starts walking back to his bed room when there's a loud bang in the hallway outside his front door then a drunken
"Owww"
Katsuki tilts his head up curses whichever gods that are listening because what the hell?
He did his good deed! He let the guy in so he didn't freeze in the cold and now the dude is making such a racket in the hall someone is gonna call the police.
Someone... will...call... the... police.
Then it'll /their/ problem.
Katsuki nods his head with a smirk and keeps walking to his room where he hears another bang.
"OH FUCK!"
Katsuki walks toward his door and looks through the peephole. He watches as a green haired dummy sets the fake potted plant back in its corner.
"Now you watch where ya going okay?" The guy says before looking the plant "I'm not talking to you sir! I'm speaking to myself"
Then he nods his head and walks away, he pads up the hall and Katsuki thinks that's the last he'll see and hear of a drunk dumbass and then suddenly his peep hole is all green eyes and freckles.
"Hey!" The guy knocks loudly on Katsuki's door making him jerk back "Dabi! You dickwad!"
More loud, annoying knocking. Katsuki tilts his head up and mutters "why me???"
More knocking "Dabbiiiiiiii"
With a grumble and nasty scowl on his face, opens his door. Katsuki is just aboutta yell at the guy when his fist meets Katsuki's chest, knocking.
"Oh wow" the guy says before flatten his palm and squeezing Katsuki's peck "Dabi you've been working out??"
The guy looks up and his green eyes are glazed over and unfocused. Katsuki is rendered speechless because the guy is actually /cute/.
An idiot but cute.
Then the guy waltzes right into Katsuki's apartment.
"You are such an ass Dabi" the guy says "I had to flirt with a sexy man on the intercom to get let in because YOU didn't answer"
Katsuki who is still by his open apartment door is dumbfounded because 'when the fuck did this guy flirt?' Also still who the fuck is Dabi??
"Do you know who he is by the way? He sounds like he has /really/ big dick" the guy says pulling off his jacket- which by the makes sense why the fucker was cold.
Wait- what? Big dick?
Katsuki smirks not toot his own horn but he is pretty, well endowed. He watches the idiot amused as he stumbles through Katsuki's apartment.
All amusement dies when he notices the guy didn't take his shoes off. Katsuki slams his door and stalks after him.
"Oi! If yer gonna invade my house take your shoes off!" He yells shoving the poor dude into the couch to start tugging at his stupidly bright red sneakers that don't even match his outfit.
"I'm not an alien" the guy pouts "and you shoved me hard Dabi. Thats mean"
Katsuki pulls off both sneakers to reveal mix match All Might socks. Figures the guy looks like a nerd, and of course he'd be obsessed with All might, he is /the/ best.
"My names not Dabi"
The guy squints "No? What are you doing in Dabi's apartment? not Dabi"
"This aint Dabi's apartment and the name is Katsuki"
The guy looks around and his eyes widen, nodding his head as he looks back at Katsuki. "This is /not/ Dabi's house! This sure is awkward"
"Awkward?" Katsuki echoes
"Yeah. Cause like. I'm crashing here Kat- kacchan! You already took my shoes off" and as if to make his point, the guy kicks his feet up onto the couch and wiggles his toes.
"Who said you can stay here???"
The greenette looks at Katsuki and then shoves his socked foot in his face "You. Took. My. Shoes. Off"
Katsuki's lips curl into a slight snarl and he slaps the foot away "what if i don't want you stay??"
The drunk cute idiot makes himself comfortable on Katsuki's couch and closes his eyes "Shoulda kept your door locked man. Now you got a stranger sleepin on yo couch"
Katsuki snorts, amused by this guy.
"By the way. Do I know you? You sound familiar??" Eyes still closed the guy's face scrunches in the cutest way.
Like a bunny.
Katsuki shakes the thought from this head reminding himself that this is a /stranger/. Katsuki can't fall for a drunk stranger that invaded his house, sure he opened the door but he didn't /invite/ him in.
"Don't know man" Katsuki says "some drunk dude rang my bell like he was on fire and woke me up outta my sleep"
"What? No way! Did you tell him off? I hope you did. That's so rude"
Katsuki coughs a laugh because that fully confirms how wasted this guy actually is "totally told him off. Said go fuck yourself"
"Period. As you should"
Katsuki chuckles and the guy smiles.
"I'm just gonna rest my eyes mmkay?" The greenette says "My name's Izu-Deku"
Katsuki doesn't know what he said as it was tiredly mumbled and with that Deku is passed out. Katsuki stares for a moment wondering how the hell is this his life right now. Getting off the floor, setting Deku's clunky red sneakers by the door, gets him a blanket.
Katsuki could wake up robbed, Katsuki could not wake up /at all/ tomorrow for letting a stranger sleep on his couch.
Yet against the little voice that yells at him to call the cops or kick Deku out. Katsuki takes the blanket, tosses it over the passed out drunk man and tucks him in.
With a shake of his head Katsuki flicks off the living room light and heads back to bed. Hopefully in five hours Katsuku actually wakes up and he isn't robbed.

Izuku wakes as the early morning sun filters through the windows. Izuku groans because his head is pounding, the light is not helping. He turns over and shoves his face into the couch cushion and the armrest.
Izuku takes a big whiff and practically melts into the couch. Smells clean like fresh linen. No that isn't right, the couch smells clean yes, but not like that it has a more minty smell to it.
Good on Dabi for cleaning his couch. Sometimes he uses this weird lavender spray that makes Izuku sneeze or if he is out of that spray... Dabi uses his cologne.
Dabi has some /questionable/ cleaning habits. In fact Izuku shouldn't be shoving his face so deep into this couch... who knows what Dabi /has done/ on this couch despite how clean it smells.
So Izuku turns over and pulls the fuzzy blanket over his head which smells absolutely divine. Like it was freshly washed, Izuku /needs/ to ask Dabi which detergent and softener he uses because Izuku has to start using it.
That thought startles Izuku because Dabi is literally the /last person/ you want any kind of advice from.
Izuku peels off the fluffy blanket, squints at the light that fills the room before he registers the coffee table inches away from his face.
"When did he get a coffee table?" Izuku mutters to himself, slowly sitting up so as to not make his hangover worse. Izuku blinks slowly at the mahogany coffee table. "Is Dabi growing up?"
Yes. It's a real question, /so real/ because Dabi has been living like he is /still/ in college for years and he has a job. He just /chooses/ to live this way, his coffee table for years was literally the box his 75 inch tv came in, 8 tall beer cans that he filled with dirt and hot glued together. He threw a picnic table cloth over it and literally said yep that's it.
Surprisingly, it was a sturdy table. Not a proper one but a sturdy one.
His rug isn't even a real rug. It's a trashy beach towel that had a GTA chick on it with huge tits. It's the same towel that Dabi used back in his dorm.
Izuku looks around and finds the decor of the apartment. Does not match Dabi's overall vibe. This apartment has too much practical furniture, like what happened to the grossly green stained bean bag chair? Or the really broken beach chair that somehow was surviving despite being on its literal last leg?
This isn't even that thrifted couch Dabi picked up off the side of the road.
"Is this even Dabi's apartment??" Izuku asks "Did I go home with someone?"
Izuku shakes his head which makes the dull throbbing in his head, a string throbbing. Noticing the glass of water and the two pills next to it, he takes them.
But no, Izuku didn't come with anyone. Izuku remembers walking up to Dabi's apartment building. There was no one at bars /worth/ flirting with. Except... What was his name? Kacchan?
Yeah. Kacchan was worth it. That guy was so hot Izuku doesn't know how a guy of that caliber was talking to him.
But Izuku thanks the gods he did because whoo boy. Granted Izuku /can't/ remember what the guy really looked like aside from his pretty ruby colored eyes and spikey hair or /what/ they talked about but trust him on this okay?
Kacchan was H A W T.
Izuku slowly rises from his spot on the couch, stretching. Grabbing his used glass to wash Izuku pads over to the kitchen. As he washes he looks around the kitchen noticing that Dabi's kitchen in fact /does not/ look like this. Izuku slowly sets the cup to dry, he slowly turns the water off and starts looking around the apartment.
He stumbles upon mail that says 'Katsuki Bakugo' apartment 6D. Which is funny because Dabi doesn't have a roommate AND he lives in apartment 6A.
So what's this mail doing- Izuku's eyes widened with pure panic.
"Oh my god" Izuku whispers in a panic "Oh my god. Im in the /wrong/ apartment"
Suddenly Izuku can hear an alarm going off. He drops the mail on the counter top and stares at the closed bedroom door for a moment before he hears shuffling.
"Oh fuck oh fuck" Izuku mutters before running toward the front door.
He trips over his own shoes but does not fall, thankfully. He grabs them off the floor and snatches his jacket off the hook.
The bedroom door creaks open and he fumbles with the locks on the door. Currently in Izuku's mind he is in a horror movie and the killer is gonna get him.
The front door unlocks and Izuku zooms out so fast you would have thought he was flash. The door slams behind him and Izuku runs smack dab into Dabi who clearly was coming back from getting breakfast.
"Dude" Dabi says as he opens the door to his apartment "where the hell were you last night?"
Izuku squints and shoves his way into Dabi's apartment "Shut the door shut the door"
Dabi closes the door but stares at Izuku oddly "is this like? Your walk of shame? Who did you go home with? Why are your shoes off? You are so pale? Did you see a ghost?"
Izuki ignores all of Dabi's questions, none of them are important /at all/. "WHY DIDN'T YOU ANSWER YOUR BELL?"
Dabi laughs "sorry man! I fell asleep. I texted you this morning though... didn't you get it?"
"No! My phone is dead and I slept in a stranger's house!" Izuku tugs at his hair "Oh my god i slept in a stranger's house"
Dabi snorts "So you /did/ go home with someone"
"No!" Izuku cries "I have no idea? I can't remember? But I just know. I woke up in the apartment across the hall and i was just there wandering around wondering when the hell did /you/ grow up?"
Izuku takes in Dabi's apartment and for once in his life he is so happy to the classic frat boy way Dabi lives his life.
"I feel like i should be offended" Dabi says, placing his bags on the counter with a small smile "So you didn't sleep with whoever lives across the hall?"
"Nope. Woke up on their very nice couch" Izuku says "There was water and pills set out for- Oh my god! I took pills from a stranger??? I don't know what they were???? Oh my god"
Izuku looks at Dabi horrified. "I'm gonna die???"
Dabi rounds the counter and walks Izuku to his living and sits him down.
"You need to breathe" Dabi says "You aren't going to die. Chances are they let you up and you crashed on their couch okay? We can ask"
Izuku looks at Dabi like he has grown a second head. "WE CAN'T DO THAT??? THAT'S SO EMBARRASSING??? I THOUGHT I WAS IN YOUR APARTMENT? Who knows what I did? What i said"
"My neighbor across the hall does.... we just have to ask???"
"NO!"
Dabi laughs hard "why are you so embarrassed??"
Izuku doesn't know why. He just feels like whatever he did super drunk is mortifying and he would rather not know. See because drunk Izuku and sober Izuku are /two/ different people.
He wants /nothing/ to do with drunk Izuku.
- - - - -
Katsuki tiredly exited his bedroom just as his apartment door slammed. He blinks because in his tired hazed mind he doesn't recall why that would happen.
In his tired haze mind there was an intruder.
So suddenly awake he runs toward the front of his apartment, tripping on a blanket that was haphazardly tossed and he falls with embarrassingly loud thud.
Then it clicks, the cute drunk fucker from last night just dipped.
Who the fuck just leaves like that??
Okay. Granted he probably woke up super disoriented and confused but Katsuki woulda explained what happened.
Maybe even ask for his number and maybe a date.
Katsuki gets off the floor and heads to the door and swings it open. The hallway is empty, he guesses it is nothing to be so hung up about.
Except he is. Shouldn't be because Deku is a /stranger/.
- - - - -
Sometimes you pass people by in life and for the oddest reason they /stick with you/. You think about them at random moments, you wonder how they are doing, what they are doing.
But Izuku did not pass Kacchan by. He slept on his couch, washed a dish in the house, snooped through his mail and he /can't/ remember what he looked like aside from his hair and eyes.
It's been two weeks since the incident that has been dubbed the "sleep and run" and for some reason Izuku /can't/ let it go.
He is bar hopping again with his friends, with the same assignment as last time- Dabi's after. Dabi promises he'll be awake, that the mishap from last won't happen again.
Is it wrong? Izuku secretly hopes that it does?
He groans after throwing back a shot. He lays his head on his hands watching as his friends have an animated conversation. About what? He has no idea, Izuku has one too many drinks and his mind is completely on Kacchan.
"Izuku are you okay?" Ochako questions tapping her friend
"He was soooooo hot chako" is izuku's reply
Making her snort into her drink. She is fully aware of what had happened, she doesn't understand why Izuku just didn't talk to the guy after the fact but knowing Izuku he was probably freaking out.
"I j-just wanna talk to him again" Izuku's words are becoming slurred and Ochako decides it's high time to cut Izuku off.
"So talk to him again. He lives across from Dabi right? Just talk to him tomorrow" she says
It's a great idea. A Fantastic idea even. Just not the tomorrow part.
At least not to a drunk Izuku.
So when the night is over and Izuku stands outside of Dabi's apartment staring at the intercom like it insulted his mother. He can't remember Kacchan's apartment but he remembers the number 6 because you know Dabi lives on six and they are neighbors.
So izuku begins pressing buttons and stringing together jumbled words that make the question
"Hi- *hiccup* D-did you let a drunk green haired guy sleep on your couch?"
"No! What the fuck? Dont you see the time?!"
Then the next one someone picked up there was a crying baby in the background and loud "Fuck you" to Izuku's question.
"H-*hiccup* Hey! Did you let *hiccup* a drunk green haired man sleep on your couch?"
"Izuku? Are you pressing random buttons??" - its Dabi he actually kept his promise of staying awake.
Izuku squints "sorry wrong number"
"Wait-"
But Izuku already pressed the button to cancel the intercom connection.
He presses another button and rings for a while before it picks up.
"Who is it??"
"H-hey! Did you let a drunk *hiccup* green haired man sleep on your couch?"
"Deku?"
"Who is Deku? You sound really familiar, have we spoken before?"
There is an audible snort "I'll buzz you in"
"No, that's okay! Im looking for someone"
Another snort "I know. Come on."
Then the buzz of the door being open brings Izuku lots of joy.
"YOU ARE A SAINT!"
It's an odd sensation of deja vu and Izuku at this moment in time can't think of why.
- - - - -
Katsuki chuckles to himself and heads to open his door. He kind of had been hoping to either run into his neighbor to ask about his friend or the drunk idiot would show up again.
Katsuki couldn't stop thinking about him. Something about knocking on his neighbor's door felt funny. So he just never did.
When he opens the door, he finds his neighbor outside of it.
"Hey man" He says cooly "Im Dabi. I live just across the hall" he point behind him "My idiot friend Izuku... he um-"
"Katsuki. He crashed on my couch two weeks ago" Katsuki says
"So you know him! Cool!" Dabi says "Listen he-"
"Was ringing doorbells looking for me"
Dabi snorts and nods.
"Yeah i buzzed him" Katsuki shoves his hands into his sweats "You gonna take him? Or is it cool that he crashes here again?"
Dabi looks taken aback for a moment before he smiles big and wide. "Nah man. He is /all/ yours"
"Cool."
Dabi gives Katsuki a salute and disappears back into his apartment. Just as Katsuki can hear Izuku's drunk ass coming up the stairs singing.
"Kill a man. Take his shoes. Kill a man. Take his shoes. Kill a man, take his shoes so I can be more comfortable" Izuku reaches the top steps and grins to himself.
Katsuki finds it cute and endearing.
"Kill a ma- Kacchan!" Izuku shouts with a large smile that twist Katsuki's insides in ways he doesn't know how to compute.
"Deku." Katsuki says with his own smile
"Who is Deku? Im Iz-u-ku" He replies standing before Katsuki still smiling.
"Tch" Katsuki rolls his eyes "Whatever. Get inside dork"
"Okay!"
Dabi watched from his peephole as the pair went inside. He shakes his head with a laugh and hopes Izuku does not freak out like he did last time.
- - - - -
"The rest is history" Dabi says as he smirks into the microphone. He turns to the newly weds, holding up his champagne glass.
"So while yes we should toast to the happy couple" Dabi says "Let's toast to me too. For falling asleep and not answering my door because if not for that. They wouldn't have met"
Izuku laughs and rolls his eyes while Katsuki scoffs with his lips curving up.
"To the couple!" Dabi says into the mic before bringing glass to his lips.
Everyone around, including Katsuki and Izuku shouts "To Dabi!"
The Venue is filled with laughter and music now that all the speeches are done. Izuku leans his head on his husband's shoulder with a smile.
If you would have told Izuku that he would one day get really wasted, ring the wrong bell and sleep on a stranger's couch who he would later come to date and marry?
He'd probably laugh in your face. Because Izuku just didn't get wasted like that.
But he did and /all that/ happened.
Now he is married to the stranger who let him in and let him sleep on his really nice couch.
Izuku couldn't be happier. Both of them couldn't be happier.
The End

Sick Days (Oneshot)
Pairing: Izuku Midoriya x Katsuki Bakugo
Content: Fluff
__
Synopsis: Little Deku is sick and Katsuki takes it as his responsibility to look after him.
__
There was a loud knock on the door or at least as loud and hard as the little boy could be.
Katsuki, The boy who knocked on the door fiddle with his backpack strap as he waited for an answer and he waited for a minute or two and just as he was about to knock again.
The door opened and he was greeted by Inko who didn't look down immediately but when she finally did. A small smile crept onto her lips.
Inko then knelt down before the little boy and spoke in a gentle tone as she broke the news to him. "I'm sorry but I'm afraid izuku is too sick to play today"
Katsuki looked far from happy with that answer as he attempted to peek inside but the woman was blocking his view.
"So? I can still see him can't I?" He asked looking back at her.
"Well you might get sick and-"
"I never get sick!" He blurted. "Heroes don't get sick!" He stomped.
Inko sighed softly and stood up. The woman didn't have the heart to send the boy home and as long as they didn't hangout for long, katsuki would be fine.. "Okay. Okay you're right." She moved out of the way allowing the boy inside."I'm sure he would be happy to see you anyway"
Bakugo didn't waste a second to rush inside the apartment just as Inko looked around outside. "Where's your parents?" She asked as she shut the door and looked back over at her shoulder to see the boy already gone. The only thing left was his little shoes that sat beside Izuku's.
Inko sighed softly and shook her head. It looked like she would need to call them.
Katsuki had ran straight to izuku's room not even bothering to knock as he busted into the room and there was izuku in bed covered up by his all might themed blanket and with all might themed pillows surrounding him.
A wet rag was placed on his forehead and he looked like he was about to go to sleep only for his green eyes to light up at the sight of his favorite people in his room.
"Kacchan" The freckled boy said weakly as a little smile came onto his face.
Katsuki didn't return the smile, instead gave him a glare as he dropped his bag by the door. "You're not supposed to get sick" He huffed and crossed his arms against his chest.
His smile faded after hearing that. "I'm sorry." he whispered softly as the freckled boy looked away from the other.
"Don't bother now!" He groaned as he began to dig through his book bag and pulled out a little container that contained two all might shaped cookies.
"Because now I have to look after you" He grumbled as he marched over to the freckled boy and presented him the cookies.
Izuku blinked at him. "Are those for me?" He asked, looking at the red eyed boy.
"Of course it's for you!" He snapped and shoved the container into his hands. "It's my job to look after you now!"
That smile returned back onto his lips and looked down at the container of cookies.
"You really don't have to y'know.. I'll be okay" He said trying to reassure Katsuki but it was clear that he wasn't having any of it as he interrupted him before he could go any further.
"Just shut it and eat it!" He demanded.
Katsuki could always be a bit much with his temper and all but Izuku knew that he cared for him in his own strange way..
"Okay okay" izuku said as he finally opened the container and his eyes would light up again at the sight before him.
It wasn't really hard to please little izuku as he would happily accept anything given to him but when it was something involving all Might in any kind of way.
He loved it.
"Wow!" Midoriya said in awe as he reached down to grab the cookie and took a moment to observe it, noticing it was a little burnt along with something else.
It was shaped like all mights head perfectly but the icing looked horrible. It was an attempt to make the hero in icing but it simply was strange looking with one eye being smaller than the other and the smile was a bit off.
But for izuku it was simply..
"It's perfect!" He said as he took a bite of the cookie and looked over at Katsuki who was still standing there at his bed side quietly.
He had been waiting for his reaction and was looking down at his shoes while waiting but hearing those words from his friend caused him to quickly lift his head up.
A small grin spread across his face.
"Of course it is! I made them" He said proudly as he placed his hands on his hips.
Really, It has been his father who made the cookies with Katsuki's help as he insisted on helping and really he wanted to do all of it by himself but his father wouldn't let him unfortunately. The only thing that Bakugo got to do all by himself was putting icing on the cookie which he proudly did.
"Really?" Izuku asked as he took another bite of the cookie in which the boy nodded then sighed. "The old man did help a little but I did most of the work!" He insisted.
"Well you should have a reward for all your hard work" He grabbed the other cookie and offered it to him with a sweet smile in which Katsuki stared at it for a moment before taking it from him and taking a bite of it.
“Thanks..” bakugo said quietly and sat down at the end of his bed. “Kacch-” the boy turned his head and interrupted himself with a fit of coughs into his hand.
Katsuki watched on and reached his hand out only to soon retract it and rest his hands on his lap as he swung his legs back and forth.
“Kacchan” He said quietly. “you're gonna get sick if you stay around any longer..I dont want you get to sick”
Katsuki rolled his eyes and ate the rest of his cookie then began to get under the covers in which izuku's eyes widened. “kacchan!” He called out but received no answer as he would soon poke his head out from the covers now laying right beside him.
“I wont get sick. I'm not you, besides I have to look after you now "Katsuki said as he shifted a little trying to get comfortable.
Izuku didn't understand.
Katsuki never really tried to take care of him before so why now?.
“why? He asked curiously as he looked over at him.
But Bakugo didn't answer him, instead leaned over and placed a small kiss on his cheek.
Izuku's eyes went wide and his face felt more hot than before as he was left flabbergasted by the gesture.
”Because it's my job you idiot“ Katsuki said as if that was the obvious answer to his question. ”I have to look after you. so you'll have to return the favor by marrying me.“
”M-marry you?!“
Bakugo nodded. ”yeah! That way no one can take you away from me. You'll have to be with me forever:'' for katsuki that was what marriage was. Simply marrying your favorite person to keep them with you forever and forever was a very long time.
“You can't say no either! Because I proposed first, "Katsuki didn't exactly understand marriage too well and was twisting it into his own idea and really the only reason he got the idea to marry him was because of some tv show that his parents were watching.
“O-okay. I'll marry you“ Izuku accepted since he did want to be with his best friend forever and this caused Katsuki to smile from his new victory.
Midoriya grabbed his hand and kissed it causing the other little boy's ears to burn red. ”I'll buy the ring then“ He smiled and couldn't help but laugh at seeing the ash blonde flustered since to izuku it was absolutely adorable.
”Yeah yeah“ katsuki yanked his head away and pulled the covers over his head to hide away out of embarrassment over this simple little interaction.
”kacchan?“ izuku soon joined him under the covers causing the other to huff softly but he didnt make an attempt to try and hide away again since there was nowhere for him to go.
”When are we getting married?“ he asked curiously and bakugo shrugged. ”when we get our quirks? will be getting them soon“
Midoriya liked the sound of this as he nodded in agreement. ”Yeah! That would be great!“ He beamed.
”You have to promise me then” Katsuki said, presenting his pinky which izuku quickly accepted and linked his pinky with his. “I promise! I'll make sure to buy the ring too“
”Good!“ He yawned and poked his head out from the covers which izuku soon joined him and yawned a little after him.
”You're really amazing, Kacchan," he yawned again as he nuzzled his face into his pillow. “You're really cool..” he said as he started to feel sleepy all of a sudden and started to drift off to sleep.
“yeah..'' Katsuki agreed as he watched him fall asleep. “so are you.” He whispered as he scooted closer to the sleeping boy and threw an arm around him and it wasn't long before he fell asleep.
__
“I told you to wait for us!” Mistuki yelled.
Izuku blinked a few times as he started to stir awake thanks to her yelling and took a moment to process what was going on before him.
Katsuki was out of bed and had his bookbag in his hands as he argued with his mother. “You were taking too long with that damn phone call! so i had to-“ the boy was cut off as she smacked the back of his head.
"Watch your fucking Mouth!” She snapped.
Inko had decided to let the two sleep in for a bit after checking in on them as she didn't have the heart to wake them so she waited a bit before calling on them to come get their son so here she was standing in the doorway with Masaru as they watched not too sure if they should get between this but it thankfully didn't last long as she was soon dragging him out since katsuki had made it clear that he didn't want to leave during their argument.
But soon the house was quiet again and Izuku had fallen asleep after the boys said their goodbyes. The only thing he'd wake up to was his mother kissing his forehead and fixing the blankets for him and soon the little one slept on for the rest of the day.
__
“You've got a fever, Kacchan” Izuku removed his hand from his forehead.
“No shit! I got it from you. I never get sick but everytime i do take care of your dumbass. I get sick, "he complained.
Izuku just chuckled and leaned down to kiss his forehead.
“I know I Know but youre my husband. we gotta take care of eachother”
“Yeah yeah..” Katsuki grumbled as he touched his forehead. His ears were burning red but Katsuki chose to ignore it. “I fucking hate you..” He grumbled while izuku just laughed in response.
“We've been married for how many years now? I know that's a lie” He chuckled.
No matter how many times Katsuki said that Izuku knew that he didn't mean and the only time those words truly hurt him was when he didn't get a quirk but it didn't take them long for them to become friends again thanks to their parents making them talk it out.
“Whatever! Will you just get me something to fucking eat” He snapped but midoriya didnt seem phased instead just sighed and looked away.
“I don't know if i should..i mean i haven't received a single word of affection. Im not starting to think my husband might actually hate me” He let out another sigh and clutched his shirt trying to look hurt.
Katsuki’s lip twitched. “You just said-!” He groaned and huffed. “Fine!”
Bakugo went quiet before a quiet. “I love you too” left him as the blush spread from his ears and to his face when izuku kissed him on the lips “See? that wasn't too hard was it?”
‘For fuck sakes youre just trying to get yourself sick again!” he said as he pushed him away.
MIdoryia just laughed and let him push him away but not before he gave him another kiss this time on the cheek and whispered in his ear.
“I love you more”

with the “control your heart” thing being unaddressed (and deku’s unwillingness to talk about his feelings surrounding bakugou in general), do you think in this war something will come up that’ll make deku unable to avoid it anymore? like if bakugou SEES how deku acts when he’s hurt/insulted (any other time he was either unconscious or not there like his scream after the kidnapping or black whip/danger sense) that’ll cause deku to have to address it at some point when they talk? we already got a “reveal” from AFO to bakugou about deku’s feelings but bakugou has yet to see it, and i think he’ll be the one to help deku control his heart
Tumblr media
He will figure it out, probably almost has. While I don’t think Kacchan will ever know the full story of how Izuku’s been about him, I’m sure something will happen during this fight that will make him understand there’s a bit more to it than futilely dashing into danger to save him. He’s seen that insanity twice. Shiggy also gave him another missing piece by reminiscing how angry Izuku got. I think he would be both confused and conflicted by ShiggyAFO’s statement of being the closest person to Izuku, but hasn’t had too much time to reflect on it yet.
But when he does, I imagine he’ll know it deep down to be true, and that his feelings for Izuku have also been the same. That despite rejecting Izuku, he still somehow viewed him as his closest person and best friend too, in the farthest corner of his heart.
Their relationship has been this kind of twisted all their lives. I mean who were those other kids? They didn’t know him, understand him, look out for him, believe in him or hold him accountable the way Izuku does. When Kacchan came to learn how much Izuku adores him he finally appreciated all of these things about him that he once considered annoying and must have thought: “Shit. The nerd really has been my best friend this entire time.”
So since DvK2, I think Kacchan has been processing and reprocessing them, continuously turning over in his head what he is to Izuku and what Izuku is to him, until eventually he just gave up and this is where it starts to get really shippy: gave into the undeniable love for Izuku that he now knows he’s always had inside and was impossible to run away from.
My point is that after all of this self-reflection, Kacchan is probably the one who can understand and accept how they both feel the most. He could be given new information such as Izuku going berserk over him or being in love with him and accept it as fact more easily. He knows Izuku loves him even if the nature of it is undefinable.
Izuku’s case is somewhat different… Kacchan has only just rediscovered his childhood love and recently started to express it and I think it’s still a lot to take in for Izuku atm because for a large chunk of his life he has been battling with conflicting feelings of admiration, rejection and pain that were born from loving and cherishing a person so dearly, who seemed to have only hated and bullied him. So Izuku would find Kacchan loving him much harder to believe.
That’s why he said “You don’t have to force yourself Kacchan, Deku is fine.” to Kacchan’s “De-Izuku.” Because in Japanese there is intimacy in using a first name by itself. He finds it a little difficult to believe Kacchan would ever want to be by his side, though he has hoped for it pretty much since forever ago.

Sorry this has run on a bit of a tangent, but I think (with all that said!!!) everything, whatever that entails, is going to come out in the wash. That’s the point of showing us they have mutual hidden feelings for each other in the first place. And there is going to be a lot of questions Izuku will have to answer to, lol.
So I do feel the same way as you. Kacchan will soon see firsthand how much Izuku can lose control for him and I think that he will also be the person that grounds him if he gets too crazy or self-sacrificial. He’s been at the forefront in batting for Izuku’s safety and wanting to cleanse Izuku of his toxic relationship with himself. He knows it needs to be him to do this. It can only be him. I think these sentiments, still lingering from chapters 284-285 to 319-322, will again be a really important theme for them.
Btw, isn’t it interesting that there just so happens to be another person near Kacchan’s battlefield with a missing piece to this puzzle besides Shiggy/AFO, who knows what, or rather who, triggers Izuku the most…
Tumblr media
The biggest gossip junkie constantly running off with his mouth… Always got a lot to say, huh?
Tumblr media
I wonder if he will have anything to say about this…

My crochet heart: small bkdk oneshot
-
Katsuki had spent all day wondering what Izuku was up to, as Izuku had been practically shut up in his room every bit of that time.
In certain moments, the blonde would consider knocking on the other's door but he didn't want to disturb him. He didn't know if they were that close yet.
Sure, they'd hung out multiple times--almost every day--but this friendship was.. well, new. A rekindled friendship.
Katsuki didn't want to take advantage of that. Things were so good and he didn't want to be the clingy type. In other words, he didn't want Izuku to push him away. He'd only now got his- Izuku, back.
However, in this particular moment, Katsuki wanted nothing more than to cling to the boy.
He'd been blankly watching a boring animal documentary when he'd heard a familiar set of footsteps finally appear. He'd turned and his eyes met a messy haired Izuku, who had his arms behind his back.
"Hi, Kacchan! What are you up to?"
Katsuki glanced for a moment at the TV in front of him, "Watching.. penguins apparently," Turning back, he motioned towards the other, "What are you up to?"
Izuku shrugged, "Nothing, I just- well, I-" A blush tinted his cheeks as he quickly moved his hands forward, "I made this for you!"
Katsuki was wide-eyed as he looked into Izuku's hands. There lay a dainty, obviously beginner, crochet heart. It was sloppy. It looked almost ready to fall apart.
It was perfect.
Chewing his lip, Izuku watched the other stare at his creation. He knew it looked ugly, it'd been his first attempt at crocheting. His heart ached as his embarrassment grew,
"Ah, I'm sorry, I know it's not great. It was my first time, and I honestly really wanted to make it for you. I just wanted to show you how much you, um, mean to me, Kacchan," Izuku looked away, blush deepening, "I know, it's silly."
Izuku's hands shook slightly as he started to move his hands back, accepting the silence as rejection, only to stop as Katsuki gently cupped the tiny heart.
He held it so carefully and Izuku's own heart squeezed at the tenderness.
"I love it." Katsuki whispered.
"You do?"
"Yes. Though, I have to ask," Katsuki met Izuku's gaze, a small smile pulling at his lips, "why a heart?"
"Oh, well," Izuku searched the other's face, seeming to read him, "it's because I..." His lips stretched into a knowing smile, "You mean a lot to me."
"I do?"
"Yes," He said breathlessly, "You do."

Will You Remember Me?
“We have a mission. For the two of you.” The man set the carrier on the table and Katsuki swore he heard something move in it.
It must’ve been one big fucking cat. The carrier was huge.
“A cat?” Katsuki asked, unamused. To his surprise, the official shook his head.
“A child.” Katsuki looked at Izuku, who seemed as confused as the former was. “A child who has a very, very powerful quirk that you two need to work together to raise.”
“I’m fucking sorry?”
-
After the war, Katsuki lost all memories of what had happened, including apologising to Izuku. But Izuku remembered everything, in every detail. So when they're given a kid who can steal their quirks and have to share a room together, they might just get back to their relationship they had during the war.
OR
Katsuki has amnesia and Izuku remembers everything in HD 1080P and they have to raise a kid.

bkdk oneshot. also posted on ao3 @megansabode
(war au is slightly changed, oneshot written after 419 and before 420 manga chapters)
contains: swearing, (slight) gore, soft katsuki, katsuki being a good dad, izuku being very (not) subtle, angst, hurt/comfort, katsuki centric (can switch to izuku centric in some paragraphs)
Katsuki groaned as he rolled out of his blanket, crushing his alarm with his fist. He looked up, groaning as he blinked multiple times to open the one eye that still worked to see that his alarm was now broken.
“Fuck’s sake.” He muttered. “It’s too damn early for this shit.” He sat up, rubbing his eyes, flinching at the sudden twinge of pain from the scars on the right side of his face. Sometimes, when he was feeling stupid, he’d stick a finger into his empty eye socket. He didn’t know why, he guessed that sometimes he wanted to see if this shit was still a fever dream or not.
It wasn’t. His eye was gone. And so were, still, all of his memories from the war.
To say that he was confused when fucking Deku was wrapping his arms around him was an understatement. And the fact that Deku had said he’d apologised? When the fuck did he do that?
He couldn’t remember doing any of that shit, that was for sure.
Apparently he’d killed All For One. Great. And where was his reward? Nowhere. They didn’t even give him any funds when he plunged straight into debt after graduating.
If he was such a great hero, why didn’t they treat him like it?
“Deku!” Katsuki yelled. “I need a new alarm!”
“Again?” Izuku’s voice was slightly muffled, Katsuki guessed that he was brushing his teeth. Yes, again. Katsuki had broken his last alarm. And the one before that. And the one before that.
And he definitely was not going to use his phone. He’d just buy alarm after alarm until he got used to waking up at five AM easily again.
But after spending the past two years in and out of the Hospital, he doubted that would be happening anytime soon.
“You need help?” Izuku yelled from his bathroom.
“I’m fine!” No, Katsuki wasn’t fine. He’d only just realised the amount of fucking glass in his hand. After what must’ve been hundreds of trips to the hospital, he guessed that he must’ve been at least a little immune to pain now. And this was no different. He didn’t feel pain, there was just a shit ton of blood dripping onto his floor. He groaned and pulled on his clothes, making sure he didn’t get blood on his shirt, then walked out into the hallway.
“Kacchan, you’re bleeding.” Izuku said from the other side of the hallway as Katsuki attempted to pull the glass out.
“No fucking shit.” He said bluntly, grunting as Izuku grabbed him by the sleeve of his shirt and pulled him into his room. He sat Katsuki down on his bed and grabbed some tweezers, then started picking the glass out. “I’m fine, it’s just glass-”
“And?” Izuku asked, looking up at Katsuki. “I don’t care if it doesn’t hurt. Do you want to lose a hand like me?” Katsuki pursed his lips as his eye caught on the prosthetic arm Izuku had in replacement of his right arm.
Katsuki had lost his arm too, but the doctors had been able to reconstruct it, as they did with Izuku’s left arm. But his right one was unsalvageable.
If that idiot didn’t just fucking stay where he was and didn’t get sucked into that time portal or whatever it was, none of this would’ve ever happened. Well, Katsuki still wouldn’t have his eye, but Izuku wouldn’t have to get used to having no left arm anymore.
At least Katsuki was close to 18 when he died on the battlefield. When Izuku was on his deathbed, he was basically still freshly 17.
And now he was 20. And Izuku was 19. And the two still woke up to each other screaming from nightmares every night.
They never talked about it. Never. They didn’t need to. Their small, “Are you okay”’s in the morning were enough. And they would both nod to each other. Then, they’d move on from it.
Katsuki could never remember what he was even dreaming about. How could he–he didn’t remember anything from the battlefield. It just felt…weird. And he always felt like he needed to know whether Izuku was still alive or not.
But he’d pushed that out after his therapist, Recovery Girl’s daughter, had suggested that he actually cared about Izuku. Because he didn’t. Why would he care?
They heard a doorbell and Izuku looked up. He grabbed bandages after pulling out the last shard and then wrapped bandages around Katsuki’s hand. Then, he got up and walked out of his room, over to the apartment door.
Katsuki flexed his hand as he waited. He was still a little iffy after Izuku’s comment about not having a hand. Did that nerd really have to remind Katsuki about that? Or was it just because he didn’t remember anything else?
“Is your roommate home?” Katsuki heard a low voice travel from the kitchen. And soon, his name was called by Izuku. Not his name, just the stupid ‘Kacchan’ Izuku always yelled. But to Izuku, that was basically Katsuki’s name.
He groaned, getting off Izuku’s bed and walking into the kitchen to see a Hero Commission official with something that looked like a cat carrier in his arms. “Yeah?” The official looked down at Katsuki’s hand and frowned, then looked at Izuku.
“I’m fucking sorry?” Katsuki stormed forward, but Izuku held him back with his metal arm. “Deku-”
Izuku flinched at the name. “Shush.” He looked at the official. “Why are they in a cat carrier, then? If they really are a child?”
“They are too dangerous-”
“So you want the kid in a cage? Move out of the way.” Katsuki pushed Izuku’s arm out of the way and attempted to open the carrier. It was locked, but Katsuki pulled the door off and tried to pick the kid up. He could barely see them, but he could see them moving further back in the carrier. “Hey. It’s okay. I’m not going to hurt you. I’m here to help.” He said in a soft tone. The kid slowly crawled forward and he smiled.
Their face came into view and he saw she was a girl, with dark brown hair and violet eyes. Her hair was choppy, her lips chapped, and she looked around six or seven.
She reminded him far too much of Eri. With the scars on her arms and face. With the stupid hospital gown she wore. The official stepped back as the girl crawled out of the carrier and Katsuki glared at him, then picked up the girl. “What’s her name?” He asked, holding her in the crook of his elbow.
“Dynamight, I advise-”
“What. Is. Her. Name?” Katsuki repeated as the girl wrapped her fingers around tufts of his hair.
“...005.”
“How old is she?”
“Seven.”
“What’s her quirk called?” Katsuki asked as the girl giggled, wrapping her arms around his neck. He couldn’t help but smile as she played with the hairs at the back of his neck.
“Steal.” Izuku’s jaw dropped and he reached out to stop Katsuki, but Katsuki just moved away. He didn’t even seem to care.
Because he didn’t. In all honesty, he hadn’t used his quirk in a fucking year. He didn’t need to and he didn’t want to. The last time he’d used his quirk it had fucked him up so bad that he didn’t think he was even able to use it anymore.
He still wanted to be the No.1 hero. In other ways. And if that way was raising a girl who had a stealing quirk, then so fucking be it. That was what he was going to do.
“Kacchan-“
“Shut up.” Katsuki looked back at the official. “Is that all you needed to say?”
The official nodded. “Good luck with…it.” Katsuki would’ve fucking killed that official if Izuku wasn’t holding onto his arm like a vice. The official left with the carrier and Katsuki turned to Izuku.
Izuku gulped. “Are you sure about this?”
“Set up my room as hers. I’ll clean up the glass on the floor.” Katsuki smiled again as the girl giggled again, pulling his hair slightly. “Ow, Kiro.”
“You named it?”
“Her.” Katsuki bit back.
Izuku shook his head. “Not my point! You named a kid who can steal your quirk? Kacchan, this is on a whole other level! I could lose One For All! You could lose your quirk!”
Katsuki rolled his eyes. “Then don’t get near her.” Katsuki set Kiro down on the counter. “Be a good girl and stay here, okay?” Kiro nodded and he smiled, ruffling her hair before he walked out, going to his room. Izuku followed him quickly, keeping his eye on the kid as she sat down on the counter, playing with some scent beads on the side.
“You’re out of your mind, Kacchan!” Izuku yelled as Katsuki grabbed a dustpan and brush. “Are you serious?”
“Yes.” He said bluntly, picking up the glass on the floor.
“Well—where are you going to sleep?”
“The couch. Obviously.” He said, standing up and throwing all of the shards of glass into the bin. He grabbed what remained of the alarm and chucked it in there, too.
Izuku sighed. “No.”
“No?”
“You’re sleeping in my bed.”
“I’m what?” Katsuki asked, turning around.
Izuku stood his ground (for once in his fucking life, Katsuki thought) and glared at Katsuki. “You are going to sleep in my bed while we work out what to do with our child, okay?”
“Fine. But don’t expect me to fucking cuddle up with you or some shit.” Izuku rolled his eyes but moved around the room, picking up everything that was Katsuki’s. “They could’ve moved us into a bigger place.” Katsuki mumbled as he took down his posters.
Izuku rolled his eyes again. “They won’t do that. They don’t have enough funds.”
“Don’t have enough funds, my ass.” Katsuki muttered. “They have billions, Deku.” Izuku flinched at the name again and Katsuki wanted to fucking kill himself.
Maybe Katsuki should’ve taken that swan dive off the roof.
Katsuki grabbed his clothes and shoved them into a suitcase. In all honesty, he didn’t mind having Izuku’s bed. It was much comfier than his, as Izuku had arrived at the apartment first.
“I’m gonna go check on her.” He said, walking out of the room and going to the kitchen. To his surprise, the girl was still sitting on the counter, giggling to herself. “What’re you giggling about, huh?” She squealed as he picked her up and held her in one hand, as if she was an airplane. Then, he pulled her to him and held her in front of him. “You stink.”
She giggled again. “You stink.” So she can talk. Katsuki gasped dramatically as she laughed and brought her into the bathroom. She let out a small ‘oof’ as he put her down on the side of the sink and started to fill up the bath. “What’s your name?” She asked.
Katsuki turned around. He didn’t really expect her to be that fluent speaking to anyone, before she had just laughed and giggled. But she sounded confident as she spoke, even if she did have a slight lisp hidden behind her words. Maybe she just didn’t want to talk in front of the official. “Katsuki.” He said.
“Kat-shu-ki?” Katsuki laughed as she struggled to say his name. “Kath-su-chi?”
Not just a slight lisp.
Katsuki smiled. “Katsu.” He said.
“Katsu.” That was a lot easier for her to say.
“Just call me that.” She nodded, looking around the bathroom as he filled up the bath. He didn’t want it to be too full—she could’ve drowned otherwise—so he filled it up so it would cover just up to her waist while she was sitting down. “Test it with your foot.”
She nodded and got up, then put her foot in the bath, smiling. “Is that good?” He asked. She nodded and he started to take off her hospital gown.
He’d bathed female baby cousins before, so he knew what he was doing. He lowered her into the bath and she grinned, splashing.
“Okay, don’t get it all over me.” She laughed as he cleaned her with a smile.
“Kacchan—what are you doing?” Izuku asked, standing in the doorway.
“Giving her a bath. She stank.” Kiro laughed even more as she splashed around, and Katsuki let out a laugh as she got soapy water all over him.
“Kacchan-“
“Shut up. Give me the shampoo.” Izuku sighed and grabbed the bottle, then handed it to Katsuki. “Close your eyes.” He told Kiro. She nodded and closed her eyes, and he put shampoo on his hands, then rubbed it into her hair, creating foam. She reached her hands up to touch it but he pushed them back down, making her pout. Some of the foam went inside her mouth and she gagged for a couple seconds, until she stopped, looking up at Katsuki.
“You’re mean.” She said.
“Oh, am I now?” She nodded, then giggled when he forced her eyes shut so the shampoo wouldn’t get in them. Then, he grabbed the small bucket from the side of the tub and filled it up with water. He tipped it over her head and she giggled as he pressed the side of his palm against her forehead.
Katsuki could’ve sworn he heard Izuku laugh a little, but when he turned around, the green-haired young adult just stood there, crossing his arms. But his large, veridian eyes were softened and wide, which was something that Katsuki hadn’t seen much since he had woken up in that damn hospital bed, not remembering anything about how the fuck he’d gotten there, with a missing eye and an arm that felt like it wasn’t his.
“Kacchan, when will you be done so I can talk to you?” Izuku asked.
“When you make yourself useful?” Katsuki suggested. “Conditioner.” Izuku sighed but handed the hotheaded young adult the bottle, and he sat down on the floor next to Katsuki as the latter started to apply conditioner to Kiro’s ends.
Kiro’s hair was long, and it fell down her back. She was also thin, very thin. Too thin to be a healthy seven year old. “Kacchan, we need to talk about this whole thing.”
Kiro tilted her head to the side, and Katsuki (as gently as he could) moved it back. “Are you talking about me like I’m not here?” She asked. Katsuki snorted and looked over at Izuku.
Izuku shook his head quickly, swatting his hands in front of him. “No! Not at all! I was just, uhh…trying to talk to…” Izuku looked at Katsuki, as if asking what he should call him.
“To Katsu?” Kiro asked.
He smiled. “Yeah. To Katsu.” Izuku looked at Katsuki, who rolled his eyes.
“What’s your name?” Kiro asked, leaning forward in the bath. Katsuki pulled her back gently and she pouted again.
“Izuku.” Izuku smiled.
The girl nodded. “Izuku.”
Why couldn’t she just fucking say my name as easy as that? Katsuki wondered, side-eyeing Izuku, and groaning when he saw that the ‘old friend’ to the side of him was grinning.
“Yeah! Izuku.” Kiro splashed again in joy and Izuku laughed as she got water all over him. “Kiro!” Katsuki forced back the smile that threatened to show on his face as he heard Izuku say the girl’s name.
And Izuku continued to make small talk with Kiro as Katsuki bathed her.
“Goodnight.” Katsuki smiled, tucking Kiro into the bed. She giggled as Izuku walked in, and handed her a plush. Katsuki deadpanned at the All Might plush from years ago.
The one that Katsuki had bought Izuku for his fourth birthday.
“Thank you!” Kiro mused and Izuku laughed as she held the toy in front of her.
“You’re very welcome. Goodnight, Kiro. Don’t let the bed bugs bite!” Katsuki rolled his eyes at Izuku’s words, then walked out with him, turning off the light. Kiro grinned at Katsuki and Izuku stayed by the doorway, watching as Katsuki looked at Kiro.
The girl giggled and Katsuki laughed. “Night.” He walked out and closed the bedroom door behind him, then stared at the door, his laughter fading into a frown.
“Kacchan?”
“Move.” Katsuki said, going into Izuku’s room. Izuku sighed and walked in after him, then closed the door. “What do you want?”
“Well, you are in my room.”
“Yeah, because it was your idea for me to be here. So spill, Deku. What do you want to talk to me about?” Katsuki sat down at the end of the bed.
Izuku sighed again. “Do you really not care if she steals your quirk?” He asked.
“I…” Katsuki groaned, falling back against the bed. “I don’t know.” Izuku sat down next to him. “I mean, yeah, my quirk’s great and all, but the last time I properly used it I almost fucking died.”
“You did die.”
“Yeah, but not entirely because of my quirk, dipshit.” Izuku rolled his eyes. “I just…we don’t even know how she steals quirks. How are we supposed to be scared if she’s actually just extremely calm?”
Suddenly, Izuku stood up. “What’re you doing?” Katsuki asked, sitting up. Izuku grabbed his phone out of his pocket and started pacing. “Deku-”
Izuku put his phone to his ear after calling someone. “Aizawa-Sensei.” Katsuki narrowed his eyes as Izuku pulled his phone away and put it on speaker.
“--Don’t have to call me Sensei still, kid.” Katsuki heard the end of Aizawa’s sentence. “What do you need, it’s midnight.”
“...Me and Kacchan have a kid. Do you know anything about her quirk?”
“005?” Katsuki’s blood boiled at the mention of the fucking lab name. “Yeah. Why, did they not tell you anything about the quirk?”
“Nope.” Katsuki said.
Aizawa sighed through the speakers. “Alright.” He said. “The kid’s quirk works when the people around her use their quirk and she feels threatened. They chose you because they thought that, for one, Bakugo doesn’t use his quirk, and Midoriya, your quirk is one that’s barely visible and the kid won’t see it as much of a risk–”
“Why is she treated like a fucking lab rat?” Katsuki asked, making Izuku stop pacing and Aizawa stop talking.
“Huh?” Aizawa asked.
Katsuki rolled his eyes. “Why is Kiro treated like a lab rat?” He asked.
“Kiro?”
“That’s what he named the kid.”
“You named her?” Aizawa shouted.
“She’s my fucking kid!” Katsuki yelled.
“Our kid.” Izuku confirmed.
Same thing. “Whatever.” Katsuki said. “Why is she treated like a lab rat? What the hell happened to her?”
Aizawa sighed again. “This is confidential information.” Izuku sat down next to Katsuki again. “She was born about two or three years before your first year at UA.” Fuck, had it really been that long already? “The Commission believes she was a backup plan in case Tomura was never good enough. Which, well, in the end, he wasn’t. But after the war, they searched through every single base and found her in one of them. A frail, thin, malnourished child.”
Yeah, she was thin all right. “They’ve been keeping her in a lab for years, chained up so that she can’t do anything.” Katsuki gripped the sheets below him. After her bath, there were some marks on her wrists that were probably covered in makeup before she was brought over to the apartment. “...She’s stolen around six quirks so far. She can use them, but she only really uses them when she’s scared.”
“...Okay.” Izuku said, but he was just staring at Katsuki. “Aizawa-Sensei, how…do you think we should go about raising her?”
“Treat her like a normal kid, Midoriya. She’s been through enough. And be nice to her, Bakugo–”
“Actually, Kacchan’s been surprisingly good with her.” Katsuki scowled at Izuku’s comment.
Their old teacher laughed a little. “Really?”
“Mhm. He made her laugh, hugged her, gave her a bath and gave her his room. He–he’s a good dad.” Katsuki pursed his lips. He’s a good dad.
Thanks, Deku. He thought.
“Good. Now, can I go back to sleep?”
“Yes! Sorry for waking you up!” Izuku said.
“It’s alright, kid. Goodnight.”
“Night!” Izuku hung up, then turned to Katsuki. “Kacchan? Are you okay?”
Katsuki grinned. “He’s a good dad?” Izuku looked to the side, a pinkish tinge on his cheeks. “I’m a good dad?”
Izuku shrugged. “I guess?”
“Alright. So who’s going to be dad and who’s going to be dada?” Izuku groaned at Katsuki’s mocking tone and threw a pillow at him. “Hey! I’m serious!”
“No, you’re not.”
“No, I’m not.” Katsuki grinned as Izuku glared at him, but the latter soon had a smile on his face. “What’re you looking at me like that for?”
Izuku put his phone back into his pocket. “You haven’t smiled in a while.” Katsuki immediately had a frown on his face again at that. “Oh, c’mon Kacchan, smile!”
“Nope.” Izuku laughed as Katsuki got into bed, throwing a pillow at the former. “You haven’t laughed in a while, Deku.”
Izuku stopped throwing a pillow back, the soft white rectangle dangling above his head. “...That’s not my name.”
“Eh?”
“I’m not Deku. Stop calling me that.”
“Actually, it’s your hero name-”
“Call me Izuku!” Izuku yelled. Katsuki narrowed his eyes as Izuku threw the pillow to the floor. “Kacchan, I know, I know that you don’t remember anything. And I’m not trying to burden you with anything, but if you can say it once, you can say it again! Call me Izuku!”
Katsuki stared at his old friend. And for a few seconds, he genuinely considered calling him by his first name.
“...Go to sleep, Deku.” Izuku just stood there as Katsuki laid on his side and turned off the lamp on the right side of the bed.
“Izuku!” The new adult in question gasped as he heard Katsuki yell his name. Katsuki sat up, breathing heavily and sweating. “Fuck.”
“Kacchan?” Katsuki just got up and went into Izuku’s bathroom. The latter grimaced at the sound of Katsuki throwing up in the toilet.
Katsuki walked back into the bedroom, pushing his hair back with a hand. “Fuck’s sake.” He sat down on the edge of the bed, his hands on either side of his face, his elbows on his thighs.
Izuku pursed his lips. “Kacchan, are you alright?” He asked.
“I’m fine, shitty Deku. Go back to sleep or something.” Katsuki looked down at the ground, trying to stop his hands from fucking shaking. He had a knot in his stomach, which only tightened when he heard Izuku move closer to him. “Deku–”
“You’re obviously not okay.” He said. “What happened?”
“Do you really expect me to fucking remember?” Izuku sighed and sat next to Katsuki. “I don’t know what happened. I can’t remember what happened when I have a shitty nightmare, I just feel like fucking shit after it.”
Izuku cocked his head to the side. “Really? You just…don’t remember?” Katsuki shook his head. “Well…considering you yelled my name, it was probably about me…from the war–”
“Cut it, Deku. As if I’d dream about you.” Katsuki scoffed.
He pursed his lips. “But,” Izuku started, “you did reach your hand out to touch my chest–y’know, where my heart is-?”
“Yeah, I know where a fucking heart is-”
“You were checking that I’m alive, Kacchan.” Katsuki stopped and turned around, to look at Izuku. To look at the boy with green hair. To look at the boy with the freckles. With twenty-six freckles. Katsuki always remembered the number, remembered the sound it made when he said it, remembered the way his lips felt as they pressed together as he echoed it. The boy with a robotic arm, the boy he wanted to hold hands with. He wasn’t an adult–Katsuki didn’t want him to be an adult. He didn’t want to be one either. He wanted to be a kid again. The kid in the woods, the kid on the wooden bridge, the kid who fell into the river, the kid who had a hand reaching out to him.
And then he stopped.
Was Izuku holding his hand out to me this entire time?
He moved forward. And he didn’t punch Izuku. He didn’t grab him and hurl him at the wall. He captured the boy in his arms and just hugged him. “Kacchan-” Izuku gasped.
“Shut up before I regret this.” Katsuki pressed his face into Izuku’s shoulder. “...Izuku.” He ended. He heard Izuku gasp again, before he wrapped his arms around Katsuki too, and Katsuki heard his damned sobs. Those sobs he always heard when he hit Izuku before, when he berated Izuku, when he was a fucking asshole. But this time, it wasn’t because he was being an asshole.
It was because he was finally accepting Izuku for himself. Not for the boy that chased after him for half of his life. Not for the boy that desperately tried to climb up the ranks to succeed him.
The depressed, fucked-up adult Izuku had become in spite of all of that. And Izuku didn’t mind what version Katsuki accepted him for. Izuku didn’t even mind that Katsuki didn’t remember apologising for his actions.
He didn’t care. Because his Katsuki–his Kacchan–was back. His Kacchan that he fell asleep next to in the Hospital. His Kacchan that he’d slept beside one night in the middle of the war because he couldn’t sleep without waking up from nightmares. His Kacchan Izuku’s back had once pressed against while he slept to ground himself when he felt like there was nobody left who knew him for who he really was.
The quirkless boy with a big dream.
The boy that Katsuki had known since he was two and a half years old.
“I’m sorry.” Katsuki muttered. “And I know that doesn’t mean fucking anything, but I’m sorry.” Fuck, he was going to cry. He sniffed into Izuku’s shoulder and Izuku stiffened. Katsuki had only cried in front of him once before.
“Kacchan–”
“Shut up.” Katsuki murmured, his bottom lip trembling. “Fuck–Izuku–” Izuku felt himself shake at that word. Just a name. A name that meant so many things. “We’re gonna be dads. And if–if we’re going to be dads we have to talk. About things. Things I’ve probably talked to you about before but you don’t remember but–”
“It’s okay, Kacchan. Let it out.” Izuku whispered, stalling his crying for Katsuki. And to his surprise, Katsuki didn’t bite. Not like he always did. He grabbed Izuku tighter and cried into his shoulder, making the sleeve of his shirt wet within seconds.
“I’m sorry–I-fuck!” Katsuki yelled between sobs. “Izuku.”
“Say that again.” Izuku muttered.
“...Izuku. Izuku, Izuku, Izuku, Izuku, Izuku.” Katsuki chanted it as if it was a lullaby, to keep himself grounded. To keep himself in the right mind. “Fuck, I’ll say it a million times if you want me to.” He kept on muttering Izuku’s name, his grip on Izuku getting tighter, as if he was afraid Izuku would decay if his grip was too loose. “You have twenty-six freckles.” He said suddenly.
Izuku looked down. “Huh?”
“You have twenty-six freckles. Twelve on the left, fourteen on the right. Your favourite food is Katsudon, you call me Kacchan because you admire me. You–you became a vigilante, apparently, and left on my birthday. On my fucking birthday.” Izuku sighed. “And your birthday is on July 30th. You celebrate July 4th even though we live in fucking Japan because All Might celebrates it and you fucking love All Might. You–you sat by my side every fucking day in the Hospital even after you found out that I didn’t remember anything from the war. You have nightmares every night but you don’t say anything in the morning and I don’t know what they’re about–”
“You.” Katsuki stopped crying and looked up, making eye contact with Izuku. “I dream about you. On the battlefield. Your heart ravaged and your body unmoving. Your eyes are white and rolled back. And–and you’re dead. Every time. It replays in my mind, Kacchan. And I never know if you’re actually alive or not because I always forget you’re in the room next to me. So I cry myself to sleep. Until you break your alarm. And then I’m reminded that you’re alive. And it makes me want to live even more.”
“...Kacchan, I can’t remember the last time I lived for myself. I lived for everyone else. I lived for All Might because I honestly didn’t think he’d make it another month without me. I lived for you even when you didn’t remember being nice to me because I just…I need you. And you’re weird with that kind of thing. You act like you don’t need anyone but you do. And…you probably don’t even need me. But I need you. And I live for you. And if that’s a crime, put it on my record.” Katsuki just stared into those damn wide eyes.
Katsuki and Izuku were complementary. Red and green. His vermillion eyes and his viridian eyes. And so Katsuki just closed his mouth and stared at the man in front of him. At the man that the boy had become. At the boy who had chased after him, At the man he now needed to chase after.
Katsuki couldn’t remember the last time he lived for himself, either. It must’ve been before the war. But ever since then, the one thing he could remember was Izuku. The person that he lived for.
There were segments. Fractions of their time together during the war. He remembered a back pressed against his. He remembered someone’s hands in his hair. And an all-too familiar phrase.
“Kacchan, I forgive you.” Izuku said. And Katsuki just grabbed Izuku and hugged him again. “Kacchan–”
“Don’t make me go all mopey again, Izuku.” Izuku chuckled. “I–I remember some things.”
“You do?”
“Did we sleep next to each other once?” Izuku nodded. “I remember a moment from that. Just a couple seconds. I remember your back against mine. And then–then I remember your hands in my hair. And I remember you saying that you forgive me. It’s familiar, you’ve probably said it so many times before-”
“I have. It used to be the only way to get you to sleep.” Katsuki shook at that, not out of sadness like the most recent times, but out of slight amusement. That sounded like something he would’ve done. “Kacchan, I’ve missed you being like this.”
Katsuki moved away to look at Izuku again. “Like what? A crying mess?” Izuku shook his head.
“Talking to me. Hugging me, being close to me. You haven’t been like that in three years.” Three years. It had been three years since the war. Four since they had gotten to UA. Five since Katsuki had told Izuku to take a swan dive off the roof. Six since the last time Katsuki had felt a smidge of respect for Izuku until he got to know him again after their fight in Ground Beta. And seven since their now kid, Kiro was born.
Katsuki didn’t know why he chose the name Kiro. It was just the first one on his mind. The perfect name for a kid that was a fucking bundle of joy. “Hang on.” He muttered, pulling his phone out.
“Huh?” Katsuki searched up something and a small smile came on his face when he read the first result. He tilted his screen so Izuku could read it and the latter read it aloud. “The name Kiro is originated from many languages including Japanese, Latin…it means…oh.” Izuku looked at Katsuki. “Did you really name our kid a name that means light?”
“She’s our light.” Katsuki looked at Izuku. “She’s our light that we needed to find to find each other again.”
“You said find too many times in that sentence.”
“I said it twice.”
“Mhm. And?” Izuku grinned. “You should smile more.” Katsuki’s expression quickly changed into a frown and Izuku laughed. “Kacchan–whoah!” Katsuki tackled Izuku down and Izuku laughed as his back landed on the bed. Katsuki rolled so he was laying down beside Izuku, and he grabbed his hand. His right hand. Not his robotic hand that Katsuki could barely look at.
“Our light.” Katsuki repeated. “She’s our light.”
“Our light.” And the two fell asleep with their arms wrapped around each other, just as they had years before.
“Dad!” Katsuki grunted as Kiro jumped on top of him. “Wake up, wake up!” She jumped in circles on his chest as he heard Izuku chuckle to the side of him.
“Kiro–get off, I’m gonna run out of breath.” Izuku laughed and picked Kiro up, letting Katsuki sit up on the bed. Katsuki looked at Izuku and smiled as he saw Kiro pulling at Izuku’s hair, the latter of which laughing and keeping her held up in the crook of his arm. “I’m gonna make breakfast.” Izuku hummed in approval and Katsuki got up, leaving the room and going to the kitchen. It was only then that he realised what Kiro had called him. Dad.
Not father. Not Katsu. Dad.
Maybe he would be able to live for her too.
He grabbed a frying pan from the cupboard and poured oil into it, then turned on the stove. Kiro probably hadn’t had a proper meal before, if she had grown up in a laboratory. So he would make a first meal to remember. Last night, they’d just had a couple sachets of instant ramen, too tired to do anything else. Katsuki, however, planned to give Kiro a full breakfast, akin to that of a full English breakfast. He’d never had one of those before, but he knew how to make it. An egg, bacon, toast, sausages, beans, and that was it. A full and hearty meal that was also simple to create, especially for someone as experienced (at least he deemed himself experienced) in cooking as Katsuki.
“Kacchan–what’re you making?” Izuku asked as he walked in, sniffing to catch the smell of what Katsuki was cooking. “What’s for breakfast?”
“Sit down.” Was all Katsuki said as he pulled out a pan for the baked beans. He grabbed everything from the fridge and got ready, grabbing everything he needed. He started with the bacon, something he wanted to get perfect. Izuku watched as he moved quickly around the kitchen, grabbing spices, missing out salt (that was something Katsuki never did) and cracking some eggs into a pan.
Is Kacchan really trying that hard to make Kiro breakfast? Izuku wondered to himself. Katsuki still moved around the kitchen and Izuku was left to deal with Kiro, who was currently walking around the table.
Unlike Katsuki, Izuku didn’t have baby cousins to model his care for Kiro after. In fact, he had no cousins at all, even though he did call Mitsuki his Aunt when he was younger. But as Kiro jumped around the table, Izuku tried his best to calm her down and keep her occupied. She still held her All Might plush and he attempted to ‘play hero’ with her.
Him and Katsuki used to do that when they were younger. Playing hero was their favourite game. They would fly All Might in the skies and make him fight against other heroes, or they would get animal plushies to be villains. All Might would run after them and always win.
All Might always won.
“All Might always wins!” Kiro shouted, giggling as she followed the flying All Might around the area behind the table. Katsuki turned around and looked at them for a few seconds, watching Izuku laugh as Kiro tried to grab All Might from midair.
“Breakfast’s ready.” He said, grabbing the plates and setting them down on the table. He made Kiro sit in her chair and pushed Izuku’s plate closer to him as he gave Izuku his coffee. Katsuki moved around the table to be on the other side of Kiro and he started eating.
At some point, he just helped Kiro to eat so she didn’t poke herself with her fork instead of picking anything up. Izuku watched as he taught Kiro how to use a knife and fork, then fed her food, making her giggle as she ate it. “Eat, Izuku.” Izuku stiffened, then nodded and started to eat his food.
Soon, everyone was done with their food and Katsuki scraped the plates as Izuku drank his coffee. Kiro sat on the counter of the kitchen, moving her All Might plush through the air and looking at Katsuki. “Where did your eye go?” She asked him. He turned around and looked at her. How the hell was he supposed to answer that.
“...It fell out.” She laughed. “What?”
“I once saw a man with an eyepatch. He called himself a pirate.” Katsuki knew exactly who that was. His old teacher was always good with kids. “And he didn’t have a leg, either. It was metal, like Izuku’s arm.” Katsuki expected Izuku to stop drinking his coffee at Kiro’s comment, but all he saw on Izuku’s face was a small smile.
Maybe Izuku didn’t mind when Kiro talked about his arm. Just like how Katsuki didn’t mind when Kiro talked about his eye.
Izuku finished his coffee and got up. “I thought you were going into work today.” Katsuki glanced at him.
“I can stay if you don't want to-”
“Go, Kacchan. I’ll look after Kiro.” Katsuki nodded and walked out of the kitchen, then got changed in the bedroom. He could faintly hear the sounds of Izuku playing heroes with Kiro again, and Kiro’s laugh was so loud that the sound travelled around the whole apartment.
Katsuki put on his hero costume and then walked out, a faint smile on his face at the sight of Izuku chasing Kiro around the living room as a villain, while Kiro swatted the All Might plush through the air. She giggled and squealed as Izuku picked her up, holding her high in the air as the victor of the fight. “I got you!” Izuku yelled.
“Put me down!” Kiro squealed, laughing. “Katsu, help!” Katsuki rolled his eyes and went up to them. Izuku quickly moved out of the way and grinned when he looked at Katsuki. For fuck’s sake.
It ended up with Katsuki chasing Izuku around the apartment, with Kiro in Izuku’s arms, still squealing and giggling. Katsuki tackled Izuku down and took Kiro back, laughing as Izuku leaned his head back, laughing too. Kiro giggled, grabbing the back of Katsuki’s head as he got off of Izuku. He held out his hand and Izuku took it, pulling himself up. “Don’t abduct the kid again while I’m out.” Izuku laughed and nodded.
They went back into the main room and Katsuki put Kiro down. She smiled, running around in circles while Katsuki pulled his jacket on. “I’ll be out for a couple hours at most. Call me if there’s any problems.”
“Alright.” Katsuki went to the door and looked back at Izuku. He felt like he should’ve done something at that moment, but he didn’t know what. Hug Izuku? Give him a shitty kiss goodbye or something? Instead of overthinking it, he just nodded and left.
An office job was something that Katsuki had never thought he would’ve ever had to work at. But due to the fact that he didn’t use his quirk anymore, he just sat at a desk in a lighter hero costume than his usual one and filed paperwork.
“Bakubro!” Ejiro yelled. “Weren’t you supposed to come in yesterday? Where’s Izuku?” Ejiro wrapped his arm around Katsuki’s shoulders.
“Dealing with the kid.” Ejiro’s jaw dropped. “What? They didn’t tell you?”
“Did you hook up with a chick, Katsuki?”
“Wha- no!” Katsuki yelled. “It’s a kid given to us from the Commission to look after. Like Eri.” Ejiro’s mouth formed a small ‘o’ and he nodded.
He grinned. “Alright! See you at lunch?” Katsuki just nodded, not bothered to tell Ejiro he would only be there for three hours at the most, and took the elevator up to the fourth floor.
He passed by old classmates and pro heroes as he made his way to his office. The only reward, in his eyes, that he had gotten for defeating All For One was a shitty cupboard to himself. And a computer, but that barely worked half of the time. And I.T just told him to turn it off and on again.
He sighed and sat down, pulling up his emails and leaning back in his chair. He’d forgotten to get a drink, but the runners usually did that for him every half hour anyway. They’d run up to every office and ask the heroes if they needed any food or drink.
Katsuki didn’t know if he could call himself a hero. He didn’t use his quirk. He sat and filed paperwork all day. His younger self would’ve beat his ass if he could see him today.
But, he would probably want to be here instead of on the field if he did work as a pro, anyway. He’d heard the stories from his friends about the war, and he himself had learnt a lot from how bad the nightmares made him shake. He’d seen the tapes. He’d read the books.
And still, nothing matched up. He didn’t know why he felt this way, and he didn’t know why he had fucking amnesia either.
The runners gave him a bottle of water ten minutes later and he downed it before he responded to emails and filed some paperwork for other people. That was all he did now. To think that his prime was when he was 16-17 was fucking depressing. Why the hell was that even a thing? A hero’s prime was after their quirk had awakened, usually when they were in their early to mid twenties. Izuku’s prime was also at that time, strengthened by the fact that at that point in time he had nine different quirks. And now, he barely used them.
At least Izuku went on patrols. Katsuki didn’t do anything like that. The two of them weren’t even in the top ten. Yeah, it had only been three years since the war, but that didn’t mean that Katsuki could just sulk and mope around all the time and not do anything. But that’s exactly what he did. He just did nothing. And even if raising Kiro would make him a hero, he wanted to be a hero to more than just one person. And their apartment wasn’t big enough for more little kids running around, playing hero.
Just after an hour had passed, Katsuki groaned, having only gone through about fifty emails out of the three hundred he’d missed. He was on a tight schedule, though. He needed to be back within three hours. That was his limit.
In the middle of the first and second hour, Katsuki got a call from Izuku. He quickly picked it up and took it as an excuse to get up and stretch his legs, pacing slowly in his tiny office. “Yeah?” Katsuki asked, pulling his phone up to his ear.
“It’s Kiro. She–she activated her quirk. Not her steal quirk, one of the ones she stole, Kacchan, you need to come back–” Izuku sounded out of breath. He sounded scared.
“On it.” Katsuki said. He grabbed his jacket and ran out of his office, moving straight into the elevator and pressing the button to get down to the ground floor. He left the office, ignoring Ejiro calling after him and got in his car, driving back home.
After disobeying the speed limit (and pissing off a lot of drivers), Katsuki made it back to the apartment complex. He ran up the stairs, opened the door and–oh.
Fucking butterflies? He stepped into the apartment, looking around as different colours of butterflies flew through the air, filling the apartment. And in the corner of the room was Izuku, grinning as Kiro laughed, running around and trying to grab the butterflies. One landed on Katsuki’s shoulder and he looked down at it, raising an eyebrow as Izuku walked over to him.
“You like it?” Izuku asked.
“You’re a good actor.” Katsuki said. “So…you made up a lie that Kiro activated a really dangerous quirk to show me butterflies?”
Izuku nodded. “Well, they could be poisonous.” Katsuki swatted the butterfly off of his shoulder quickly. “But, yeah, this is the first quirk Kiro’s shown me. She was just sitting down, then asked if I wanted to see a magic trick. I said yes and suddenly the apartment filled up with butterflies.”
“Did you just ask me to come home so that I wouldn’t be at work?”
“...Maybe.” Izuku laughed as Katsuki shoved him, lightly, towards the wall. “But honestly, it is kinda bad that our entire apartment is filled with butterflies.”
Katsuki rolled his eyes and kneeled down next to Kiro. “Hey, Kiro? You think you can turn off your quirk? I’ll get you some butterflies tomorrow.” Kiro pouted but nodded and soon all of the butterflies were gone. Katsuki stood up and looked at Izuku. “See? That’s how it’s done.”
Izuku rolled his eyes and grabbed Katsuki by his arm, pulling him down the hall and into his bedroom. “It’s too quiet when you’re at work, even when Kiro’s around.”
“Oh, really?” Izuku put his hands on Katsuki’s waist and Katsuki narrowed his eyes, looking down. “Izuku, what’re you doing?”
“What do you think?” Katsuki looked up, and then his eyes widened. “If you don’t want to, then that’s fine, but–”
Katsuki cupped Izuku’s face in his hands and brought him closer. “You talk too much.” Izuku smiled and leaned in. Katsuki leaned in too, and their lips met in the middle.
They’d kissed before. Izuku had failed to mention it. It was a quick kiss before, which had turned quickly into a rough one. The night before the war. The last time that Izuku thought he would ever be able to kiss Katsuki, in retrospect.
But this was so much better. It wasn’t rough. It wasn’t something two boys shared because they were scared of what was about to happen.
It was a slow moment they shared in spite of what had happened. Even if Katsuki still didn’t remember anything from during the war, they could remake those memories of just the two of them.
All because one light had arrived on their doorstep. Their light.
Kiro.

I PREDICTED THE BKDK HAND HOLD THIS CHAPTER NOM FUCKING NOM TAKE THE SOUP BITCH.
(Crooked fingers—bruised with scratches and scars, lining up and down, grasping at the air between them, reaching out, reaching out, reaching out— “Kacchan—!”) (A bloody hand—bruised with purple and torn skin, fingers clawing at the empty space keeping him from grasping back, as if time and space will tear themselves apart to bring them together, just once, just one time, one time, one time— “Deku—!”) (Two hands hold—two souls merge, somehow twist, and tangle further into one another; the universe Herself couldn’t split them apart even if she tried— She could kill one of them, drop them mercilessly onto the ground, chest gaping and face splattered with remorseless red, but she can’t do it without killing a part of the other, too. They cannot live in a world without the other.) A yellow figure appears before Katsuki—it’s tall, grand yet solemn; the burdened soul of the Symbol of Peace. “Ah.”

i love promising things and not following up. it’s awesome. superrrrr cool. anyway, little life/fic update for you all. it’s 4am, please bear with me.
i wanted to wait to do this until i had more work done so i could drop snippets and have an actual date for the hiatus to end, but you know.
to be honest, the brain? is not great. where’s the halloween meme. mental is hocus. health not pocus. etc etc. and the thing is i have a support system of sorts, therapy, all that good stuff. i also have, like, four or five mental illnesses. and because of the logistics of College, none of my support system is actually physically nearby most of the time. so. that kinda sucks. <3 i miss people. horrified to discover i might actually be an extrovert and just anxious.
but you know, ups and downs. this week, or at least this weekend, we’re on an up, which is good. the shitty part is, this time last year i coped by writing so, so much fanfiction. truly, look at my ao3 september-december 2022. wild.
and i just. can’t really write these days, for whatever reason. not easily. and it sucks! because i love this story! i want to tell it so bad! but the initial hyperfixation has worn off and my motivation to do anything at all is a bit….how do you say….nonexistent. so like. halfhearted cheers. sorry.
the best timeline i can give right now is this: i have a fandom trumps hate auction due december 31st. it’s about half done. that is obvs first priority (after silly things like school and work) because there are actual material consequences if i don’t finish. i am also launching something original in january, if i can get myself together enough to do so. i think i will. i’m mostly ready (and hey, my main is in my pinned if queer fantasy pirates sounds up your alley?).
and also, there’s FLFverse. i would really like to get back to posting before the year is up, but :/ not sure. definitely want to by january. i’m not sure if i’ll be able to keep up with two chapters a month or if i’ll have to drop to one or something even more sporadic than that.
hey, be honest, would you rather wait longer for me to build a backlog for regular updates, or get the ball rolling sooner but with no schedule?
we have a poll now i guess. it’s seriously 4am and i’m about to go back to making paper mache bones on the floor, mkay. don’t ask me to be normal.
so anyway. that’s the update. i wish it was more positive. if you made it all the way to the end and want to toss an ask, a little prompt, a question, whatever, that would be very cool. i think i have a chill week coming up and i miss this ‘verse a ton, wouldn’t mind some dopamine.
