Nah, Bump that. We're always talking about a decent sized woman led spaces with whatever slash shipping. We go from gay men to lesbians and short circuit? We forgot how to socialize? We fandom hop through various genres but the misogyny deep in the pancreas got us confused about two girls kissing in a flower garden and the people who put them there? If it was a simple ship war with bullshit, you would be right. But it's not, it's moral harassment somehow, with clout, that's got everyone fucked up. If it seems more vocal, it's because it's peer for peer. There's no balk or clamminess like what you get when people do the same moral harassment when it comes to shipping with characters of color where there is ACTUAL substantiated faux pas happening next to bullshit claims. People are going to be a little bit more sensitive and thoughtful with their responses in those cases.
But you know what. I'll accept your point for now even with the weird undertones. They're just regular toxic shippers in any fandom. We accept that. We're going to bitch about them in the fuck-fandom-wank-and-purity-culture askbox.
Seriously though, the fandom atmosphere is important. Say what you want about the weirdo cringe slash shipper, they didn't really care what happened to those boys besides what character and how. You had good, bad, ugly. hideous. That intensity has weened off, for the better and for the worse. Woman led het spaces are the same. We're bitching about the uptick in purity nonsense in these spaces but it's not completely overrun that it sets the tone.

See how half of these whiny asks switch up, "F/F can be so restricting and boring and toxic except like, BNF, what is there?" Look at the promotion. Build your fandom like a website. I'm thinking abt that pretty fall leaves embroidery pattern post and about how like... it is categorically a repost, it's a reupload. right? a thing that is generally disliked. but because it's credited, it's genuinely boosting the artist in question.
and it could ALWAYS be like this. reposting content could ALWAYS be a symbiotic relationship, but because sourcing back to the original creator of something is so uncommon, it's just easier to ask people not to repost it at all. and people still don't understand the difference. or they'll go to the effort of cropping out usernames/signatures to repost something, which is More Effort than literally crediting the creator of something you liked enough to want to repost.
Like. I literally don't actually care if my own shit gets reposted, you have to understand. I just don't want it STOLEN. But "do not repost" is easier to write on my art than "you can repost this, but don't alter the image/remove my signature, don't you dare write 'credit goes to the artist' because that is not credit, please link back to my original post or someplace that you can actually find me. please use an actual link/url instead of writing a non-clickable link of my username, because making it text instead of a clickable link cuts the number of people who will go to the effort of visiting my own page in Half."

he HAS to have at least an hour before shows to be completely alone and decompress, otherwise, he’ll be messing up all night. He has severe anxiety so it makes it hard for him to concentrate if too much is going on before hand. He’ll spend the time meditating or listening to music and smoking.

You know it's crazy how fast society moves on as a whole after the world was so close to ending.
It's crazy how quick they just forget four mutants stopped an alien invasion.
Even as the city was being cleared of the debris, torn buildings, the weird ooey-gooey bubble gum looking fungus? Not even scientists knew what to call it. Either way, even as they seen the evidence something big had went down in New York City everyone just seemed to move on, making jokes about it for clout and giggles, nobody seemed to be too shaken at what happened, yeah?
Humans just seem to be silly like that. They don't acknowledge anything that they don't fully understand. Well, while society as a whole moved on, forgot that the sky opened to make way for a huge alien spaceship that seemed to come from the back of a fucking Lebanese shawarma restaurant, forgot about how it looked like a deadass apocalypse went down in New York, there were a few that acknowledged what actually happened- you could even go as to say they were in the center of everything that went down. They were probably the ones that made the spaceship explode, they were probably the ones that made the sky close back up, they could have been the reason New York was able to go back to whatever was trending that week. Don't ask me who, I probably wouldn't know.
It's hard to move on like the news channels decided they would when you were in the middle of it.

Raphael was having a lot of trouble moving on like those silly humans did.
Those stupid thoughts wouldn't leave his head like he wished they would. This wasn't like him at all, he was so out of it. He doesn't even remember what he did under the Kraang's control if he was being deadass. Part of him wishes he did but the slightly bigger part was grateful he doesn't.
Raphael couldn't help but think it was his fault, what exactly? Everything. From the very beginning, to the end of it where it almost ended in his younger brother getting stranded in a whole ass different dimension with something his dad would've told him wasn't real because monsters didn't exist, it was Raph's fault.
Everything that happened that day still haunts him, and he hasn't told anybody about it.
Raphael hasn't told anybody how he gets little flashes- little visions- images- whatever you wanna call it- little touches- feelings- it doesn't matter. It was evident to him that the battle he had to fight internally to win the external was far deeper than he thought. 'Tough shit,' he wants to tell himself. He tries- he really does, he wants everything to be normal again, those little arguments with Leo he could deal with, they always made up- but more importantly he just wants that sticking feeling to go away.
Raphael felt dirty.
You had a feeling Raph wasn't being honest with you. He seemed... off. That's sugarcoating it, he seemed as if he was ready to break down at any moment- any second- you felt it coming.
So there you were heading, to him, you'd already sent a text explaining you on the way to the lair, ready to see your boyfriend. He seen the text and had replied with an 'okay! <3' to which you smiled at softly and picked up your pace, you and the teddy bear in your hand. You were gonna dominate the world with that motherfucker, jus look at 'im!
Earlier, you had decided to put a little gift basket together for your boyfriend. You'd figured he'd needed some extra loving right now, he wasn't so great at hiding it. That- or you knew him very well. Why can't it be both?
You put little pieces of candy you were sure he liked, a king sized bar of Twix because let's be fucking real, they're better than your grammies cookies. You'd included little plushies, a blanket, a little album of pictures with his family- you and April included, and the teddy bear which was currently in your other hand.
Raph would like it, and you hoped it would make him feel better, at least bring a sense of comfort to him in his state. Maybe added cuddles and kisses would help if it didn't. For once, you were confident in your ability to give gifts to people you actually like. The chances of him liking it were higher than the chances it would make him feel worse so you figured- hey! why the fuck not?
You're such a good partner.
Alas, you arrived at the lair, goodies in hand, high hopes for your reptilian boyfriend. You walk some ways to find Raph in his room, curling a dumbbell whilst sitting on his bed. You smile and walk towards him with the gifts in hand, "Hey teddy bear," im sorry i visibly cringed. "How are you?" You ask, testing him, will he lie and tell you he's fine? Will he open up to a conversation about it? You hoped it was the second option.
Raph's face lights up as he sees your good looking ass, even more so as he sees you brought gifts too. "Heya sugar! Raph's doing just fine," Liar "how about you?" He smiles and gets up, placing the dumbbell down and pulls you into a gentle hug. "You brought gifts?" He adds with a smile.
You decided to ignore his little lie, as you were going to bring it up in a bit anyways, instead, choosing to answer his questions. "I'm doing alright," you add with a smile, reciprocating the hug best you could with the things in your hand. "Yeah, I figured you needed a smile." And that was your first attempt to attack the situation.
Raph raised a brow, and allowed you to put the stuff down, and sit on his bed. He joined you, the bed dipping at his added weight. "Why do you say that sweetie?" You knew him better than he thought.
"Well," You start, "Lately you've been off, and by 'off' I mean you seem upset. Upset with yourself. And you've been on edge." You finish, looking at him, scanning his face, and you came to the conclusion he was about to break. "Do you want to talk about it?" You gently ask, placing the teddy bear in his lap.
Raph sighed, so many things, so much stress, so much fear. Damn. "I'm not a good brother." He says quietly, so quietly you thought it was in your head. After convincing yourself he actually spoke and you didn't hit your head that fucking hard in the morning, you sigh quietly and bring him closer to you.
"Why do you say that?" You murmur quietly, rubbing his arms in a comforting manner. You scan his face for any clue, hint, anything that might give it away (thought you were sure it was the reason you had in mind). His eyes welled up with tears and you sighed. "You don't have to tell me right now." You assured him softly, you'd figure he would talk about it when he was ready. You look to the basket of stuff and a soft smile comes across your face, he needed a small distraction right now.
"Hey Raph," You start and he looks to you with glossy eyes, giving a hum in response, you offer a small sympathetic smile to your boyfriend in return and reach for the basket and had it to him. "You never got to look at what else was inside, would you like to do that instead right now?" You ask and a small smile makes it's way across Raph's face. He clears his throat and nods, "Sure thing, sweets." He looks at you in gratitude as a silent way of calming down and thanking you for it.
Raph opens the basket and his small smile turns into a brighter grin, "Aw baby, my favorite candy! I knew keeping around would do me some good!" He gives you a wet kiss on your cheek making you giggle and swat at him with pink cheeks. "Hey!" You couldn't keep the giggles from escaping as you tried to sound mad at him for his comment, "What did you mean by that?!" Raph chuckles and shrugs, "Don't worry about it." He replies. As he looks through the basket he finds the little plushies and immediately his sadness is gone. "Baby!" He pulls you onto his lap and squeezes you tight (always careful to never be too tight), he pulls out the blankets and wraps them around you both, immediately feeling back at home. He finds the album and immediately you feel some weight lift off of his shoulders as if you two were one.
You two spend the rest of the night flipping through the photo album under the blanket as he snacks on his candy, plushies all around you guys, problems pushed aside for now. It was just you and him.
Raphael's problems were nowhere near gone, nowhere near fixed and if he sat quiet for long enough he would feel that need to be cleansed- he would feel dirty again.
Even though that may be true, he simply didn't feel it when you were there to make his mood better, it didn't erase his problems, no,
but he knows you'll always be there to tell him,
"It'll Be Okay, Big Man."

I've seen people say "if you are so sure about your self diagnosis, just go diagnose"
And no!? Have you seen how much does it cost?
Adhd cost at my country at least 1500 reais (Brazilian coin) to diagnose!
The minimum wage is 1.302 reais.
You would need two minimum wages to get the price right and then there are the race and gender and age bias.
Nobody unless you're a white 4 year old boy can be diagnosed with autism, and anyone else that thinks they are autistic is just a little quirky or strange.
I hate this culture of "If cant get a real diagnosis, ypu are just lying and faking for clout".
And no! It just that mental health care is so expensive and the diagnosis might actually be misdiagnosed because the therapist is biased because "you dont look autistic" or "you have good grades on school" or "stop that you're a man!" And whatever the shit.
The bottomline is that diagnosis is a privilege, when it should be a right.
It should be a right to be diagnosed with something or nothing. Know what is with you to properly understand your mind and body.
The first guy who was diagnosed with autism is still alive. The first autism diagnosis came after two decades of the concept being. The concept of mental health being necessary for a good life is pretty new. And its still seen in

Hi booky!!! Marketing anon here.
Again, here to remind everyone that I don’t work in entertainment.
However, a little tidbit: I have to do a press release for something my company recently got recognized for but our “big heads” are a bit disappointed we didn’t get the title we wanted. So we’re still doing a PR but we’re doing it for the headline to say we’re a “industry leader” - and that’s basically what our motive is. Get our SEO up, showing that our name shows up when you search industry leader and hoping media wants to talk to us to learn more. We also have a big conference event coming up so we’re hoping to release the PR in advance of attending the conference (you guessed it, to put our name out there to the people who matter).
Why am I bringing this up?
Again, I don’t know what the overall goal and plan is for CE/ PR team but he’s listed as married in his Wikipedia and I think, personally, that’s the most important reason. He needs to be married to someone so who it is isn’t really super important because the average person isn’t going to continue to look past that.
Now when people google him they will see he is married and allegedly settled down. He’s got recent pics with him with a ring on. And I’ll be honest, even for myself, when I see someone, a man especially, with a wedding ring on I for some reason automatically think, “stable.” I don’t know why. It’s so strange because I myself don’t even believe in marriage LOL but when I see someone else “linked up” I’m like oh ok good for you. ESP men and famous men for that. This may be a weird heteronormative brainwashing thing or I just have issues lol.
Also, I’m going to use Jeremy Renner for comparison. Jeremy was briefly married to Sonni Pacheco, his wife who he had one child with. She’s also 15 years younger and since their divorce has been pretty messy…lol. But there have always been rumors of Jeremy being a wild child and heavy partying and etc so when you google him to see, hey, he was married. He is a father. Despite the fact that he also married a nobody and she seems pretty intent on being a clout chaser or at least making him look bad, he still looks semi stable. He is a father, and he loves his kid. He was married - yes he is now divorced and he also recently survived a terrible accident so people are focusing on his amazing recovery and him being a good dad and not on whatever is going on with his divorce.
I have a sneaking suspicion these types of marriages happen to more people in Hollywood than you think. Especially with the men who have a bit of reputation for being players, wild partying, eternal bachelorhood…or even, a former playboy heartthrob turned beloved internet bf who just wants to find happiness and settle down. That way, once they do have that title of being settled down, the hope may be to refocus the attention on something else. Work, career, other endeavors, and less on personal life. Especially if CE’s current marriage narrative is that he’s being private. Now there’s going to be the trash tabloids talking all day about pregnancy and kids and family and etc etc. As upsetting as that can be for some fans, remember that settled down and stability often does include talk about kids and family. I think they’re just having a time of it because the fans so deeply loathe his wife. I don’t think anyway they spin it will make people welcome this pairing and potential kids more.
This is just my opinion though.

In regards to CE redeeming himself…please don’t take this the wrong way, but the public won’t care enough to look past who he married. I know some blogs on here are trying to mold a narrative the public condemns him now but I really don’t believe that’s true. I don’t think he needs to do any public redeeming because no, some angry comments on his IG regarding her is not the majority. I am sorry, but it is not.
The public losing interest does not = condemn.
He’s just fading in starmeter because well, he’s sort of had his time to shine, right? That’s usually what happens to most people. Look at the top list of highest grossing actors this year vs 2019. This year is all people who were in the biggest stuff. They had the most press and limelight.
CE and half the avengers were on the top list back in 2019. I remember this because at the time, some of my friends were googling him them because he had such a huge year. Do you see what I mean?
What goes up must come down. But it doesn’t mean he can’t come back in the future. Look, just because he got “married” doesn’t mean his life is over. It’s only over if he chooses to let it be over.
Please kindly remember that AB is not known to the GP as anyone other than the person who is married to him. I have my doubts she’ll ever be known as anything but but again, don’t quote me. I just don’t see her becoming this big star or even lukewarm star simply because she has sort of proven she has no draw or IT factor.
The one group he may have to “redeem” himself to is his fanbase. This one is tougher to navigate because I don’t know what their endgame will be in terms of what he does with his now marriage status. For now, he just looks like he’s settled down. I think the GP has more or less stopped checking for him in regards to anything else related to that, and from what it looks like, they were never even checking for AB even though she just had a movie release in the states. Lol.
I think the issue with AB is more that she’s been reliant on using someone else to get attention for two years now. So her boosts in fame will always have to be through him. I doubt that makes her very happy because from what I can infer, I think she wants to be famous on her own due to the public magically adoring her. If she had been truly content just being the wife she would have done more to boost HIM and leverage herself by association. Think of the other gf/wives of famous men. Don’t they always seem to boost themselves off being around their guys and getting people to like bOTH of them together? And then by association, people will follow them for more cute content and breadcrumbs. I think hemsworth’s wife does it, Blake lively as Ryan reynold’s wife does, Henry cavill’s gf does, Eva mendes’ does for Ryan gosling, and etc. all of these women are all actually people who do have their own careers but their husbands/partners are clearly the bigger stars. They lean into it and boost themselves at the same time.
AB does not. Maybe she’s not allowed to lol but also - she always only posts things about herself to try and draw the attention to herself. Her posting HIS dog was to draw attention to her. Her posting around the time he has work stuff but ignoring his work and basically acting like he doesn’t exist doesn’t help her at all but it’s what they’ve decided to do.
She was DOA before she even arrived. I honestly recommend if you are still a fan of his to just try and ignore her. It’s all you can do. If you cannot separate her from him then please consider just letting him go.
I am sorry if this is not what people want to hear. But I cannot know what they’re trying to do behind the scenes but I do think CE is pivoting to have people focus on his career and work instead. This can be a good thing. He may never regain that fanbase back because unfortunately of who he decided to let himself be linked to but it doesn’t mean the future is set in stone.

A not-so-gentle reminder that just because my fics are predominantly m/m ships rather than reader insert/OFC, that doesn’t mean they are fairer game when it comes to plagiarism.
I’ve kept in my own little corner for most of my time in this fandom, so I’m always surprised when way more popular reader insert/OFC writers, who I’ve never or barely ever interacted with, have not only (silently) found their way to my writing in the first place, but they’ve also felt the need to take stuff from it without credit, presumably thinking I wouldn’t notice from my little corner. And this has happened several times now.
If you’ve got as far as reading OHDH, you know I’ve put my heart and soul into every single chapter for the last two years. I’ve done hours upon hours of research (some of which I’ve been sharing here) and I know I didn’t have to do this. I know it’s above and beyond what is necessary to write fan fiction. But…I wanted to.
I’ve enjoyed learning about places, cultures and historical events I didn’t know much about before and I find it much easier to write authentically about stuff if I’ve done some background reading first. And if anyone wants to use any of the resources I’ve listed for their own research, have at it! You might surprise yourself and get sucked down many unexpected rabbit holes like I did.
But just because I’ve chosen to research my fic this way, it absolutely does not mean my writing is also a free for all. If you need to have another person’s fic up on your screen alongside your own so you can take very specific ideas, dialogue, scenes etc. even if you’re changing bits here and there, that is plagiarism. You are using someone else’s hard work and passing it off as your own without credit. And if someone did the same to your writing, you’d be livid and don’t pretend you wouldn’t.
Most of my writing is also very much from a LGBTQ+ POV. Character motivations/choices/actions, the small details, the research I’ve done, the dialogue etc. are all chosen with a queer reading of the characters in mind. None of it was meant to be ripped out of context and shoved into a story about a het m/f relationship. There are countless other fics of that nature to use as inspiration, why use one of the very few longfics that exists for this pairing (and I think the only one currently being posted on Tumblr), other than because you know it gets less readers and seems like an easier target?
It doesn’t take much to include a shoutout if someone else has inspired you. But if you can’t bring yourself to do that then you are not welcome to use anything from my fics.
I don’t know if popular writers feel under pressure to keep up with their posting schedule so they don’t disappoint their readers, but whatever the reason is for doing this, they’re taking advantage of other writers who a) have never done anything to hurt them other than dare to exist in the same fandom and b) don’t have the same reach in said fandom, thus making it less likely for others to notice (or so they think lol).
It’s also worth bearing in mind, because this seems to be a growing trend lately, if you intend on turning your fic into an original novel and there’s material in there from other fic writers, once that book is published, you as the book author could be opening yourself up to potential litigation if the fic writer thinks their work was stolen. Why do you think professional writers don’t read fan fic of their own characters/universes? Neil Gaiman has talked a lot about this on his Tumblr.
So please for goodness sake, stop creating bad feeling where there doesn’t need to be any. Stop taking your issues out on others who have done nothing wrong. Stop screwing over your peers for clout. Stop targeting minority fics because you think you can get away with it. Stop trying to drive away your perceived ‘competition’ when there’s room for everyone. Just stop it.

more bitching and moaning about twitter below the cut. god help me and my tendencies
see like. twitter and the attitude around it drives me nuts. like when you think about it or when you've been on this site for long enough. you see all the issues people on twitter complain about.
"it's really hard to curate a following on tumblr" no it fucking isn't. you just don't do anything besides post your art with 30 tags once, maybe twice, and hope somebody finds it. because on twitter people will just rt whatever the algorithm gives them. there's no community. if there is a community, it's from friends who already know eachother elsewhere. all the "interactions" i see on twitter are people apologizing cause other people are bitching them out, or friends that have been friends forever talking about stuff.
meanwhile almost everybody i've met i've met that i interact with, i met through tumblr in some way. my friends for the past 5 years since i got out of college? all originally from tumblr. all these people that i interact with? met them here. it's a little community of like-minded people who i cherish and appreciate even if, so far, our interactions are just text and images on a screen.
the entire fun of tumblr is the community aspect. we like promoting eachother. we like interacting with eachother. i've had more fun in the past year or so of being on this site than i've had on basically any forum.
like i follow artists that have dipped their toes back into tumblr after seeing them complain and whine and moan about "ohhh god i gotta go back to tumblr boohooo i have no clout there i get so fewer notes/reboggles/whatever" and. they like. post a single piece of their art a day. and then just. nothing. when the site is literally built around reblogs.
there's no algorithm in the "Good" "pure" way to experience the site. You meet friends with common interests, maybe through tags, maybe you already knew them. maybe you joined tumblr because of them. they reblog certain people. you reblog those posts. It's very natural. You find stuff you like, and people you like, and blogs you enjoy seeing. so you keep going. and that's how you start getting traction. you be genuinely funny or charming or talented.
and trust me. i get it. nobody's terminally online like me. you don't need to tell me that.
nobody else literally spends 90% of their time looking at the dashboard*. so it's just more "normal" people who check their twitter or tiktok or insta or whatever every now and then inbetween their work in their field. so like. this is all just small potatoes to them. they just want another outlet or avenue to share their media. more power to them.
but like. these websites suck shit. and current internet sucks shit. don't get on your high horse about waaaaah waaaah the shitty website that literally any moderately thought-out forum or webzone would put to shame, where the only interaction 90% of the time is trying to climb an imaginary internet ladder and be the Talk of the Town for 15 minutes so you can get a bunch of follows, is slowly crumbling around you, so there goes your small internet niche you carved (when in reality, if it had literally any weight or gravitas whatsoever, people would follow you to whatever outlet you move to).
It's a shitty fucking website. Let it burn. Tiktok is worse, Facebook is worse, Instagram is worse, but at least one shitty, advertiser-focused consumer-hating site is crumbling. That's good.
* (and trust me when i say that if i had my choice, i'd be like. in a full-time job. or my adhd would be solved so i could do creative stuff i wanna do, like make video essays, or write more, or draw more, instead of staring at this website so much)

It boggles my mind that anyone can take what Rudi says at face value. Yes, sometimes liars tell the truth, but this is a guy who has repeatedly lied and spread false rumours around about Freddie for nothing more than clout. And harmful rumours at that - he wants us to believe that Freddie not only cheated on Jim with Barbara Valentin, but also put her at risk of contracting AIDS (he claimed they had sex in a bathroom in 1987, after Freddie was diagnosed.) That isn’t a little white lie, that’s a disgusting accusation. So forgive me for thinking that whatever comes out of his mouth, is nothing but sensationalist nonsense.
What bothers me about the Jim quote is that it sounds like something right out of a cliche Hollywood movie. I’m not saying it’s impossible that Freddie might have watched the footage and commented on his love for Jim, but Rudi frames it as if this was some astounding revelation, when in reality Freddie was very open about his love for Jim around trusted friends and colleagues. He’s clearly doing this as another, “Freddie and I were so close! He told me he loved his husband, I’m so special!” Because anyone who takes the time to actually research what Rudi says about Freddie will know that’s the narrative he pushes.
And of course, he just has to throw drugs into the mix. I have a hard time believing that Jim was sniffing poppers, because there’s no mention of that in his book. He didn’t shy away from saying that he smoked cannabis in his life, so I don’t understand why he’d cover up taking poppers. Again, I’m not saying it’s impossible. Maybe Jim was so drunk, he didn’t remember taking them. Maybe he included it in his book but it was edited out because they thought it was irrelevant. Who knows? But I get the impression that it’s just Rudi trying to emphasise the whole Freddie-was-an-out-of-control-drugged-up-party-animal image that he also loves pushing.
Believe me, I love the idea of Freddie watching Jim onscreen and gushing about his man. But when that claim comes from someone who’s notorious for spreading lies, I’m inclined not to believe it. Should we take Lesley Ann-Jones seriously just because she sometimes told the truth in her book? David Brett? Barbara Valentin? The crazy queen stalker? No. That’s absolutely absurd logic. Just because they’re sometimes truthful doesn’t negate the fact they’re dishonest 99% of the time. The consequences of lying is that everything you say is forever scrutinised. They made their bed and now they have to sleep in it.
And to the people who get annoyed when others (rightfully) express disdain at unreliable sources: grow up.
Well! You took the words right out of my mouth lol. Yes, yes, yes. Rudi is a notoriously unreliable source and that doesn’t change just because he says something cute or vaguely plausible. Recap: Rudi claimed he filmed Jim doing poppers at Freddie’s 39th birthday in Munich, and Freddie lovingly watched the footage back like “that’s my husband!” And Rudi threw in general stuff about Freddie loving Jim.
It’s not that this story is completely unbelievable, but this comes from a liar and it contradicts an actual reliable source—Jim. We have Jim’s firsthand account of the party and he mentioned nothing like that, but he did mention Freddie accidentally being drugged and having a panic attack as a result. Why leave out his own drug experience and not Freddie’s? It’s possible he forgot, but Jim told us about the time he got drugged in a club while in a relationship with Freddie, and it was a really unpleasant experience, so that’s doubtful (Freddie was not pleased when that happened, either!). Like you said, Jim told us he all but stayed away from drugs except for an occasional joint in his day. He turned down cocaine for cats lol.
It’s important to emphasize your other point, too. This story isn’t impossible, but it does push the “these wILd gay guys and their crazy drugs!!!” narrative that Rudi has pushed before. He has an agenda to make Freddie and his lovers out to be wild, and this story from a known liar contradicts a firsthand account? Forgive me for being skeptical.
Like I said in my other post, Rudi often seems to wrap up his fanfiction in truthful, general statements made by other people to give his stories credibility. That could easily be what’s happening here. He didn’t actually say anything new about Freddie’s feelings towards Jim that we haven’t heard from other people, as you pointed out. The people who knew Freddie knew he loved Jim. Freddie instantly got cute with Jim when he first met Anita! None of what he said in that section was new, juicy stuff lol. He just likes exaggerating his importance in Freddie’s life, like a typical clout-chaser.
Rudi told big lies, terrible lies, and it’s common for weirdos like him to tell smaller, less egregious lies, too. If he’s willing to lie about the big stuff, then why would he not make shit up about the small stuff, too? That’s what habitual liars do. I agree, I don’t see why we should trust him any more than Barbara or LAJ or the Brett biography. He’s proven to be a liar time and time again. It’s just common sense to not take what he says at face value lol. People who lie consistently are bad, actually, especially when they do it about dead people who can’t defend themselves 🤷♀️

It's funny how we're all getting the same impressions about your blog, that you're level headed and mature, remind us of twiddle, i personally love elvira, Marjane satrapi and Lucy Liu (her casting for red one is chefs kiss especially for the ageist trolls). The topic that never ends tho, if put on a balance i do agree w the last anon is more on the 'fans' ig stalkers side. The Portugrifters, despite some serious blogs saying they're not clout chasers (they're literally unknown so of course they're hustling), have been very obvious in their intentions (the ig little moves adjustments and twitching is pathetic) but it's not like they're besties w chris or anyone in his circle. The drag brunch was cringe to watch because they weren't even interacting that much. I think like many that nflix and possibly work was key there and not a lapse of judgement fatal attraction kind of thing (honestly alba is sad and not hot), it's the shippers blowing things out of proportion, his family members can follow whoever they want and i doubt he's telling them go follow my sweet nobody gf. had a long car right to think about the Current AU (which I have been thinking of as both exorcism and post apocalypse au in my head, neither of which feel very close to what this is imo) and now im writing thoughts down.
The gist is this:
Aang does not wake up 100 years after he disappears, and this leads to Problems. The first really major one being Zhao’s attack on the NWT -- the moon spirit is killed. Waterbending is over.
(Zuko is probably there when it happens. At the time, he took the excuse to get into the NWT to continue his hunt for the Avatar, but seeing that happen and knowing it was approved by his father was a major blow to his loyalty)
Zhao captured Yue as a final blow to their pride, not aware of her connection to the moon spirit or how important she would become.
The second major problem is Sozin’s comet which goes... Pretty much exactly how Ozai wanted it to. Earth Kindom is decimated, Ba Sing Se has fallen. The world (what remains of it) is ruled by the Phoenix King. Ostensibly
Zuko is kind of horrified by the whole thing, and the destruction makes him realize that the avatar isn’t waiting around waiting to be found, because if he was he probably would have done something to stop this. Cue the realizations that he was never meant to go back home, and that his father was wrong and has hurt, and will continue to hurt a lot people unless someone does something. He probably feels pretty guilty about doing nothing to stop what happened on the day of sozin comet and decides, well, avatar’s not coming, it’ll just have to be him then.
Both of these problems lead to a third, growing issue, which is that the spirits are also very unhappy. There are a lot more spirits like Hei Bai popping up, and a lot more malicious spirits who are also starting to realize, hey, the avatar isn’t showing up to stop them.
I think things take place like... 1-3 years after all this? Everyone has had a little time to fall into their new roles/status quo. I’m not sure if what pushes Sokka and Katara out of the SWT is some spirit interference or Aang waking up -- But if he does I think they’re a lot less willing to accept that he can fix everything. Whatever the case, I think the theme of the story still ends up being something like... Taking things into your own hands and not depending on someone else to fix things for you. Aang’s just a kid! And he can’t master waterbending anyways, so how can be become a fully realized avatar? When they leave, the vibe is less ‘let’s save the world’ and more ‘we can’t keep living like this’
Sokka got involved with spirit stuff kind of by necessity. After the moon spirit got killed things got really bad. Hunting was bad, fishing was worse, there just wasn’t enough food to go around. He doesn’t believe in spirits at first, and he argues against leaving some of the meat he brings back as offerings for them because there just wasn’t enough. He probably gets himself in trouble with them for this, and Gran gran has to coach him through dealing with spirits. With the problem getting worse, it just sort of becomes another responsibillity of his -- Traditionally, it would probably be Katara’s job, but she had a very rough time after the moon died and is still very withdrawn and sad most of the time. Sokka made it a point to step up, after that. Privately, he also did it because he’s pretty sure that his dad and the other men aren’t coming back.
About the ‘hiding your face’ thing in the post that kind of spawned this -- I think maybe spirits don’t recognize anyone but very exceptional humans as anything but ‘a human’, but if you hide your face you are assuming the role of whatever mask/paint you’re putting on. So in the case of Suki, spirits recognize her as ‘a Kyoshi warrior’ with all of the responsibillity and clout that title holds. In the Sokka’s case, he’s go the warrior facepaint, but he’s got other’s too the SWT has more than once face for when they have to deal with spirits.
Suki got involved with spirits through tradition. Part of the Kyoshi warrior’s job is to be a steward to spirits. Suki is... Young for the position, and probably doesn’t know as much as she wants, but she’s doing alright. Her problems mostly come from the outside (ie, the Fire Nation). Kyoshi Island has been neutral throughout the war, but now that the Fire Nation has pretty much won it, it’s only a matter of time before they show up and start demanding things. If they show up with enough force... There’s not a lot they’re going to be able to do. Suki really hates the idea of just waiting to roll over for the Fire Nation, but it takes Sokka showing up before she gets spurred into action. She’s the one who’s actually heard news of some resistance forces springing up in the earth kingdom
Speaking of when Sokka shows up he’s probably... At least a little less outwardly sexist? Or at least more aware of the fact that these girls can fight, he can’t, and he desperately needs to know how. He still ends up in their uniform at some point
Zuko got involved with spirits pretty much on accident. The Royal Family already has some association with spirits, and he only got deeper into it when he started on his avatar hunt. At a certain point, Iroh realizes that he can’t keep Zuko away from them and instead shows him how to survive. Because of what he’s doing, Zuko is very... We’ll say spiritually volatile. A lot of spirits want him to succeed and kill his dad. A lot of them don’t. he’s very lucky that the dark water spirit, who’s face he happened to borrow the first time he got involved with spirits, is one of the ones on his side.
I don’t know what Iroh is up to -- it would make sense for him to be advising Zuko and falling into his own role as a general, but I think it would also be tastilly tragic if he let himself get caught as a traitor to buy Zuko a chance to get away.
Toph marched her way over to the first resistance movement that looked like it was worth a damn (Zuko’s) after sozin’s comet. Maybe also after getting in a fight with her parents about how they probably shouldn’t just start supporting their new fire lord government so easilly? They are friends.
Idk what Jet is up to but he might be involved, somehow. He and Zuko are Not Friends.
Zuko’s group is the one that Suki ends up bringing Sokka and co. to. He’ll take pretty much any help he can get, at this point
Girl help, I’m all for the three of them recognizing their shared experiences and having moments of levity with each other in an otherwise very dark time.
Sokka is able to sense ‘wow, that guy is very spiritually fucked up’ and then gets mad at himself for being able to tell that because its RIDICULOUS. Things actually start going better when he shows up, because Sokka is a plan guy. Zuko is very much not a plan guy, so he needed one of those.

An idea that keeps sticking in my head is like... some dark spirit has been with the fire nation royal family for generation, always getting into the heads of the second child and turning them down the darkest paths they can go down. I accidentally saw some tiktok screenshots of people reacting to Amber Heard's rape account, and they left me feeling so gross. All of them thought the story was not a big deal, or even hot. And let me clarify, I dont know mcuh about this case, I havent been following it because I dont care about celebrities so i have no idea whos guilty and whos not, or if both are. Dont even know if the rape story is true, but the fact that people are reacting this way, a story that is similar to things women have actually gone through... and some even said "I don't even follow this case", basically admiting that there wasnt even any sort of bias or knowledge of whether she might have been lying or not.
Its all so disheartening. But i guess it does make sense. Ive heard that men invade or lurk womens rape groups where they discuss their sexual abuse to masturbate to these girls traumatic tales. And i remember years ago stumbling upon this forum where people (both men and women) woould post articles of real rape histories as fap folder and would try to dig the most details of these stories they could find, and would try to find photos of the female víctims.
And i avoid reading comments on rape stories because ive even seen victim blaming comments on stories where the rape victim was a 10 year old girl.
I guess porn truly has rotted men brains, where they see violent, hateful "sex" as normal or kinky. And many girls grew up reading violent degenerate fanfiction, so they think these stories are sexy or whatever.
Like I dont know. Perhaps im exaggerating, and I should lighten up. i cant help but remember feminists saying that no woman wants to be raped in response to assholes who claimed some women did, even if she found the man to be desirable, but the girls stating ir would be hot if it was Johnny depp are kinda undoing all that work. And i wonder if men would find it so 'fun' if it was a man telling a story about getting raped with a broken bottle.

Guess im a little sensitive because it males me upset about how little people care about prostitutes and porn actresses and im doubting there will ever be an end to these industries. Men don't care. Women don't care. The only people who really care are radfems, a portion of Christians (lets be honest, many "christians" don't give a fuck) and some conservative people. And even then, some still put most of the blame on the prostituted instead of on the ones who create the demand (if theres no demand, theres no offer, simple as).
And like I said, i have no idea about this case, i'm no a depp stan or heard stan so its not really about them, just how messed up people act towards rape ahhhh

Yes, porn culture is widespread. Yes, violence is glamorized. Yes, weirdos fap themselves over female trauma...... but please, PLEASE for the sake of your mental wellbeing, just know that these websites are nothing but a tiny window of this World. Delete your TikTok & Instagram account. Slow down on 4chan/lolcow/kiwifarm because they will transform you into a cynical doomer. Tumblr should be on thin freaking ice. None of this is the reality. The degenerates displaying their obscenities aren't the norm.

Ello, since I'm bored and not going to be on Instagram I just kinda wanna rant on things that plague my little brain
Little CW for mentions of bad real world events and mentions of death
So, that topic today is those little infographics on Instagram that "spread awareness" on issues that are going on in the world and then insist that you repost it to spread the word or whatever.
There are some of these posts that don't have as much of this issue, for example an account that talks about bad portrayals and offensive stereotypes of POC in media, usually about women since misogyny is also a big factor. While we can never be sure of their true intentions, it doesn't have the whole "repost to spread awareness" or "help." (at least from my memory)
Honestly, I think there are also quite a few clout chasers in the mix, using these terrible things to get likes and followers. Like damn, imagine making a painting in art class to pay tribute to a classmate who died just to get a good grade. Kinda reminds me of a chunk of the TCC in a way.
It also doesn't really help. Like, putting a slide show on your story isn't really going to do much, and people shouldn't expect people to do a lot to help either. We have this sort of mentality where we do a small and meaningless thing just to not feel bad. If you really want to help, then try to fund movements to stop or help out victims in these events (make sure to do some research before giving your money to them in case they are scamming) and try to find articles about it to be fully informed.
okay that's all I'm writing rn, if I said anything dumb please tell me, I'm willing to hear other opinions because I wanna be open minded and listen to different sides.
