hey so how do you think Donnie would deal with him being upset over something and he doesn’t want to interact with anybody, but his s/o comes in and just sits in the room with him on the far side of the room and looks at their phone after asking if he’s ok and he says he wants to be left alone? They don’t push him into physical affection or make him talk and they don’t leave him either. If he asks at all about this once he’s calmed, s/o is like “You’ve not seen me get upset over something like you did yet, but I’m similar when I’m upset. I don’t want to be left alone completely, but I need to unwind from stimulation. I’m here if you need me”. S/o smiles softly at him?
I can relate a lot to this one! I'm sure most people do! So, it would be my pleasure to do this for you!!

A Genius has his problems
-A week of no sleep and failed experiments were uncommon for Donnie. He'd usually get it right away! Why was he having so many problems? A fight with Leo just ruined him even more.. and being called an egg-headed weirdo wasn't too pleasant of a morning for Donnie. -He was stressed and overstimulated and STRESSED and angry (at Leo), did i mention stressed? He was in his lab when you came for a surprise visit. You just so happen to catch him tinkering with one of his inventions and it explodes in his face.. He grabs a pillow and shoves his face in it before letting out a loud groan... -He sees you looking at him then sitting on the other side of the room. He was rather confused. He though you were gonna talk to him, scream even. But you were quiet.. After a small while he hears you say something in a soft voice. "Are you okay..?" He looks down and mumbles something out. "Leave me alone.." -You simply look at him and turn back to your phone, scrolling through whatever. He sighs as he lays his head on his table. An hour or two of him watching some relaxing videos and actually getting sleep, he turns to you. " About earlier, How come you stayed? Why didn't you leave? Why were you so quiet-" He was shortly cut off by the sound of you laughing and smiling at him. "Hey, you may not have seen me upset before.. but i act very similar to how you did. Even if i say i want to be left alone, in reality, i don't want to be left entirely alone." -He sees your smile and he smiles back genuinely in weeks.. To your surprise he hugs you. You hug him back. BONUS! (aftermath) After you talked to Donnie, you got a text from Mikey.. I think the others misunderstood Mikey's explanation.. Mikey: I don't know what you said to Donnie but i'm glad he started eating with us again! Thank you! I told everyone what happened! I saw you go into Donnie's lab and he made some weird noises..But then both of you came out smiling!! Idk why everyone's looking at me weird tho.. Thanks a lot! :)
You have one new message from Donatello! Donatello sent a photo! Donnie: We have a few problems.

‘ NO, it’s exercising, and that’s final! kissing is for losers ‘ -Leon 💙
‘ Hello???? Are u on ur way?? ‘ -Leon 💙
‘ :( Y/nnnnnnn answerrrrr meeeeeee ‘ Leon 💙
Leo huffed as he let his phone rest on his upper plastron. You did say you were coming so maybe you were already on your way? Though he could’ve just portaled you here, that would’ve been way faster, and he wouldn’t be in his head with worry right now. He licked his lips, and then rolled out of bed. The rest of his family was out at a comic con he opted out of going, he had this idea in his head for a while now. The next time his brothers had plans he was going to invite you over, and well… kiss you. A lot.
The two of you hadn’t really gotten to do so lately. Every moment ruined by one of his brothers suddenly appearing right as he worked up the nerve to lean in close to you. He groaned to himself as he remembered. Leo walked pass the projector room, seeing that even Splinter was probably tucked away in his room. Perfect! Maybe he could set the mood, put on a movie for it to be a bit more natural than just dragging you to his room. Yeah, that didn’t seem obvious. Even though he had already told you exactly what he wanted to do, he still didn’t want it to be forced.
He was scrolling through the movie selections on Netflix when he heard you approaching. You liked the play music on your phone as you descended the long ladder that led to the sewers, listening to the sound echo off the walls. Leo scrambled up from his Pops recliner. Rushing to greet you. You were looking down at your phone as you entered the lair, turning off the music. “Ahem!” Leo cleared his throat for your attention. (He did that because you told him many times before that he was too quiet when entering a room! Often scaring the daylights out of you since he was so silent.) You looked up immediately giving him a bright smile.
“Hey,” you said softly and he quickly scooped you up into his arms. Giving you a twirling hug before placing you back on your feet, whispering back a “Hi” in your ear. “So, we exercising or what?” You waggled your brows at him and he snickered, liking how eager you were. “Duh, though I thought maybe a movie-“ Leo was cut off by the sound of your laughter as you shook your head. “Chickening out already?” You teased and he felt his cheeks burn. “What? No! I just thought it would be.. I don’t know!” He spoke quickly and grabbed your hand, dragging you along to the projector room, grumbling about how he should’ve just carried you to his room.
“Alright alright, no need to wallow, what movie were you thinking of!” You squeezed his hand, as he finally let go to grab the remote again. Scrolling faster now to hurriedly just find something decent and chuck the remote away. The screen was moving so fast that you were giggling again, thinking his sudden enthusiasm very cute. “You laughing at me?” He asked, raising a brow bone. “You’re just too cute,” you said jokingly. “I’ll show you cute!” Leo grumbled, giving up on finding a good one and just selecting whatever the remote was hovering over. “Really?! A animal documentary??” You exasperated, paying more attention to the choice you thought he had made and not at the devious look in his eyes.
“It’s informational! And maybe it’ll give you a few tips on turtles,” he winked. But you missed it completely, trying to point out that this show was obviously titled, “Meerkats in the Wild,” and how it couldn’t possibly be about turtles or any other animal for that matter! Leo took advantage of this distraction to sidle up right next to you. One hand stroking your arm for your attention. You looked over, and your eyes widened as he quickly darted forward pressing a kiss to the corner of your lips. You blinked as he leaned back, looking up at the tv screen like he hadn’t just kissed you. A smirking smile gracing his face as he felt your stare. Two could play at that game. You moved your knees underneath you, sitting on them to give you a little more height that would allow you to press a kiss on the side of his head, on his bandana specifically. It was feather light, and as he turned his face at the feeling, you pressed another kiss on him, this time on his forehead. “Mmm,” he muttered lowly, calling attention to his pursed lips that were awaiting the same treatment.
Your hands went up, cupping his cheeks as you couldn’t help your smile, thinking to yourself, adorable, as you did exactly what he wanted. But it was the same soft touch. Barely a touch at all and it had Leo groaning, “Such a tease.” You giggled, “wanna show me how it’s done then?” You were challenging him, goading him. And it totally worked as he bit down on his lower lip, thinking of how much he wanted to show you exactly. But he blew out a breath and grinned, “now remember you asked for it baby.” His hands came up to where you were still holding his face, pulling them down and placing them on his shoulders. He wasted no time in grabbing your hips next, wanting you closer, as he pulled you into his lap. You squealed at the sudden change, of course he was going to make the most out of your challenge.
His lips came crashing down on yours once he had you right where he wanted you. A hand grazing up your back and going into your soft hair. He was like a whirlwind, doing too much all at once and overwhelming all of your senses. His other hand held your hip, keeping you steady, his teeth occasionally nipping at your lips, but mainly he was kissing you like his life depended on it. That was Leo for you, when it came to a challenge that he wanted to win, he’d do anything. And he was doing a lot. You tapped his shoulders, trying to pull back for air but his hand in your hair kept you from moving backwards. You gasped in his mouth, as he finally drew back a couple of centimeters. “Breathless already?” He teased, kissing your cheeks as you continue to breath in sweet oxygen. “Who’s the tease now,” you retorted and he chuckled against your skin, moving his lips lower to your neck and pressing a firm kiss to where your heart beat fluttered.
“Nervous love?” He questioned as his face came back up, looking into your eyes, his own dancing with amusement. He definitely thought he won. Your eyes narrowed, not one to back down either, and he was excited at the prospects of what you would do. He leaned back, shell hitting the back of the couch. “No no, just had to catch my breath is all,” you clarified. The smile he gave you, so utterly handsome, should’ve been illegal. You couldn’t wait to wipe that smug smile off of his lips, you much rather it when he was the one flustered. So with that in mind, one hand left his shoulder, your index finger slowly tracing the lines of his upper plastron. Your eyes never left his, and you could tell he was already trying to keep still. To not twitch underneath you and show how much you affected him just by that touch alone.
When suddenly, loud laughter could be heard from the entrance of the lair and you all but flung yourself to the other side of the couch at the sudden intrusion. “You’ve gotta be shitting me,” Leo growled as Mikey ran into the projector room just seconds later. “Leo Leo Leo!!!” He sang happily not seeing the way one of the blue turtle’s eyes twitched. “Yeah Mikey?” He sighed, and ‘oomphed’ as his little brother dove onto him, then shoved a dvd in his face. “Guess who got another limited edition movie to add to the collection!!! It’s Jupiter Jim!!” He squeaked happily! Leo plastered on a fake smile, “oh wow!” He said trying to appease his little brother while stuffing down his feelings of disappointment. His mind was anywhere but Jupiter Jim movies. No he was replaying the way your eyes shifted into one of seduction as you became more than confident in his lap. His eyes met yours, his irises crackling with desire, he wanted those lips again.
You just winked at him and then turned back to Raph and Donnie who were explaining in great detail about the things they bought at comic con. Leo held back a groan. As Mikey declared they all had to watch the new movie right now. His plan to escape with you into his room, thoroughly thwarted. He wanted to throw a temper tantrum. There was no way his brothers hadn’t done this on purpose. They always seemed to interrupt at the best parts! Just when things were getting interesting. Needless to say, Leo sulked the entire movie. Only putting a smile on his face when Mikey would turn looking for his older brother’s reaction to the movie. Leo couldn’t say he paid much attention to it either. Though he would steal glances at you. Of course, Raph had sat between the two of you. They totally did it on purpose, Leo surmised. Bunch of exercise blockers, that’s what they were!
Halfway through the movie, Leo leaned all the way back into the couch cushions. Hoping he would just get swallowed up at this point. When his eyes turned your way, he hadn’t been expecting you to already be staring at him. His green cheeks turned a shade darker. It didn’t help that you were biting your own lip, Pizza Supreme in the sky, you were such a tease! And then he suddenly understood. You were doing this purposefully! And when it clicked, it must’ve been written all over his face because your lips broke out into a mischievous smile. His eyes narrowed playfully, oh just you wait! One of these days the lair will be empty for more than 30 minutes (they were definitely gone for more than that Leo!) and I’ll show you who’s the real tease around here!

Rise!Bros X Reader: Christmas Mistletoes
Tumblr media
Summary: The turtles react to being under the mistletoe with them.
Pronouns: Gender Neutral (they/them)
Relationships: Dating but not official
===============================
Leo
• You were helping him carry groceries into the kitchen to prepare for Christmas dinner when he began using Christmas themed pick-up lines on you while you both stood in the doorway of the kitchen.
• Soon, Mikey gasped, pointing between the both of you.
• “You guys gotta kiss now!”
• Shocked at his exclamation, you both gazed up at where Mikey was pointing to see a mistletoe hanging down in the middle of the doorway.
• Leo sputtered while you avoided eye contact. You guys didn’t kiss that often, so it was always awkward at first.
• “Well, rules are rules.” The blue turtle chuckled with a shrug in an attempt to ease the tension.
• Without much thought, you stood on your tippy toes and quickly peck his lips.
• Leo stood astonished at your sudden authority, a dark green gracing his cheeks.
• He then grabbed your face and kissed you softly. When you two parted, he laughed.
• “This better be your best Christmas present to date.”
Raph
• You and Raph were putting up Christmas decorations. (You two were the ones who put all the mistletoes up in the first place.)
• When you were trying to reach a doorway, Raph quickly offered to help.
• Your hands made contact at the top of the doorway and your heart nearly jumped into your throat.
• Raph had the same feeling as he glanced down at you.
• “I think we screwed ourselves.” You laughed.
• The snapping turtle snickered before cupping your cheek and pecking your lips.
Mikey
• “Hey, (Y/N), look!” Mikey drew your attention.
• When you turned to look at him, you instantly cringed.
• In his hand was a mistletoe and he was headed straight towards you.
• “Mikey, no, it has to be in a doorway!” You stood to your feet.
• He ignored you and chased you around the lair with the mistletoe in hand.
• Eventually, you ran out of breath and he held the plastic leaves and red berries between the both of you.
• “Don’t be a sore loser, (Y/N).”
• You grumbled and ended up kissing him on the cheek.
Donnie
• Donnie was a special case because he didn’t believe in traditional holiday festivities.
• “C’mon, Dee,” you tried to convince him, “they can be fun!”
• “I refuse to partake in the glorification of a large man coming down the chimney to rob me of my cookies and milk but then leave me and my whole household gifts that he somehow knew we all wanted.”
• You weren’t exactly sure what he meant, but you shrugged and strutted over to him.
• “Fine. Then I guess you don’t wanna kiss me then.”
• Donnie furrowed his eyebrows. “What?”
• “You can only kiss me under the mistletoe.” You pointed across the lab towards the entrance where a mistletoe hung in the doorway.
• The turtle hummed to himself before a robotic arm extended from his Battle Shell. It reached across the room and grabbed the mistletoe off the doorframe.
• When it drew back, it hung the plant above the both of them.
• Without a word, Donnie leaned forward and pecked you gently.
• “I—you—you can’t…” you stuttered. “You have to be… under the doorway.”
• He smirked and then returned to his stoic expression so quick you weren’t sure if you’d even seen it.
• “You should’ve led with that.”

Rottmnt weird drabble/one shot because I have anxiety so Leo has anxiety too.
Based on a headcanon you can find here.
Leo was at the verge of a panic attack. No, he was going into a full anxiety spiral. The best part? He was currently having a family dinner.
Everyone was having fun. Raph was stuffing his face with Mikey's meatballs, April was trying to prevent him from choking, his twin was recording everything with his phone, his father was scolding him for using his phone during a family event, Mikey was still cooking in April's kitchen and Draxum and himself were having a smooth conversation about biology. About literal photosynthesis to be precise. He might hate him but he has to admit Draxum really knew how to get him to talk.
There were oh so many details in every single thing his family was doing right now, but he's brain chose to focus on himself. How selfish.
Draxum was rambling about his favourite photosystem when it hit him. The increased heart rate, the tunnel vision, the distorted hearing, the nausea, the damn choking sensation and that fucking piercing pain in his chest that just won't go away for the rest of the week.
Why did his anxiety have to be such an opportunistis?
He stared at Draxum like he was trying to read his soul out loud. Leo could hear him but he wasn't listening. No words seem to get into his brain but the usual 'you're nothing but your brothers', 'too little too late for redemption', 'you'll never change', 'under that mask is a scared little boy'.
Did Draxum just make him a question? He could tell by Draxum's body language.
"So?" Said Draxum to the turtle that barely registrated anything but the strong static in his ears.
Masking this kind of things was easy for him. He just had to ignore and endure it in equal proportions and play face man. He could do it, he was the face man! The actor! The lier among them! Misleading was his specialty.
He would just put on another layer of paint to his mask and flee forward.
"I'm not sure." Leo said a bit too low but steadily nonetheless.
"Well, if you are not sure, I could suggest a few scientific articles". Draxum replayed, apparently content enough with the poor answer.
Draxum was suddenly silent, already used to Leon's seemingly infinite energy for conversation, waiting for him to say something.
So he said the first thing he could muster, the quickest he could: "I-I'd love to read t-them".
That was clearly not a good plan.
It had begun. The stuttering, because his poor mouth couldn't keep up with his anxious brain. He hated that. He's good hiding his panic in plain sight but his stupid stuttering is something he can't control or cover! He could only go mute and hope he's not asked many questions because of it.
But going mute would be extremely suspicious when he's literally in the middle of a conversation!
"Ok...?"
Ok, Draxum was a bit confused, he could work with that. That is fixable. As long as he can keep a low profile he's good.
But his breathing was getting more and more erratic and being and acuatic turtle didn't actually help keep the need to just breath at bay.
Could he fix this?
'Of course not, you're useless!'
'You're eyes are watering, you big crybaby!'
'Just flee. They're not gonna miss you anyway '
'They're better off without you'
He took a big, deep, audible, shaky breath and surrendered.
"Are you ok, bro?" Mikey, bless his soul, had just entered to room and immediately noticed his struggle, taking over the conversation. "Barry, mind if I steal my brother from you for a sec?"
Mikey did not wait for an official answer, he grabbed Leo by the wrist and forced him out of the room. That, in all honesty, scared the holy shit out of Leonardo. And everybody else.
He felt a little naked now that he wasn't around his whole family, but at least the living room smelled like April. It was a nice smell to focus his mind on.
"Leo... It might not be anything serious- and I hope it isn't! -but..."
"I-I'm hav-ing a p-panic a-attack".
Another shaky breath was all it took for Leo to become a hyperventilating and sobbing mess.

Deep Waters
Pairing: Leo x GN!Reader
Angst with a happy ending!
Summary: You and Leo decide to take a trip to the beach, but things quickly go south when you are caught up in a riptide you can’t escape from.
Warnings: Drowning, riptides, near-death experience, mild cursing, slight innuendos
Word Count: 4.2K (this got away from me REAL fast lmao)
A/N: Hey and welcome to my first one-shot! Actually, welcome to my first fanfic in general! I just couldn’t get this idea out of my head and figured someone else might enjoy the pain I put this poor turtle through. Hope you enjoy! (I promise it’s a happy ending!)
As soon as the two of you made your way through the portal onto the sandy shore, the slider made a beeline for the water, and dragged you along with him. You squealed and giggled as you nearly tripped over your own feet in your haste to keep up with your boyfriend. When you finally reached the water, he let go of your hand and splashed in with so much force you found yourself covered in the spray. Squealing again from just how cold it is, you reached out to smack him for the sudden drenching, but he was already out of reach.
---------------------------------------
The beach was your idea, but with how Leo commandeered the whole trip, you’d think he had come up with it all on his own.
You laughed and waded farther into the water, letting it reach midway to your thigh. You watched as Leo continued to swim and splash in the water. A soft smile tugged at your lips as you were unable to stop yourself from marveling at just how natural he looked in the water, how happy. The last few months had been difficult for everyone in your little turtle family. Healing from the devastation the Krang had left behind was nothing short of challenging, and even that word seemed too insignificant to cover all of the hardships and breakdowns you all weathered (and continued to work through). You fought back a shiver thinking of those strains, of everything you lost and the more you could have. It all made these moments, however small, that much more meaningful.
You had him, and he had you, and in this moment that was enough.
Unaware of your train of thought, Leo finally took a break from his splashing around to face you, a look of unadulterated joy and contentment gracing his usually tense features. Your smile widened as he smirked and made his way towards you, mischief dancing in his eyes.
“And what are you doing all the way over here?” he asked, wrapping his wet arms around your waist, causing you to shiver against the cold.
“Oh you know me, just enjoying the view,” you replied with a smirk of your own, hands resting naturally on his plastron.
“I knew you were just into me for my looks,” he said as his smirk widened.
“Well it certainly wasn’t for your subtlety.”
He laughed as his hands tightened on your waist. “Oh I’ll show you subtlety.” You squealed as you felt yourself being lifted out of the water and thrown back in away from the shore. You splashed back to the surface with a gasp and pushed your now drenched hair back from your face, hearing Leo laughing all the while.
“Leo! I was trying to keep the salt out of my hair!” You crooned half-heartedly as you tried to ring the saltwater from your hair.
“You thought you were going to go to the beach with an aquatic turtle and not swim? Pft, I thought you would know better than that.” With a flick of his hand, Leo sent a small wave of water splashing into your face. You cried out, trying your best to protect your hair from the assault, but the attempt was futile. Oh is that how he wants to play this? With another cry, this time of determination and vengeance, you jumped on him, pushing him beneath the waves. The two of you grappled with one another, playful sending splashes into the other’s faces.
“Well sorry not all of us are literally born to be in the water!” You exclaimed after you’ve both calmed from your small battle. You wrapped your arms around his neck to keep yourself from floating too far from his warmth, and his hands found their way to naturally sit on your hips.
“Are you finally admitting that I’m better than you at something?” You rolled your eyes at the challenging spark in his gaze.
“Oh no no no, I never said that. Aquatic turtle or not, I’m sure I can match you stroke for stroke.” To emphasize your words, you released one of your hands from their hold around your boyfriend’s neck and lightly dragged a finger down his arm. You felt a shiver run through him that you were sure had nothing to do with the chill water now up to both of your shoulders. You fought to keep the victorious smile from your lips and maintained a look of innocent neutrality.
Leo’s hold on your hips tightened as he pulled you even closer, your bodies now flush together. “Care to test that theory?” he breathed, lips just inches from yours. A soft laugh escaped you, blowing a breath of hot air over his lips. He closed his eyes and leaned in.
But you weren’t going to let him win that easily.
“Sure,” you said, too loudly for the intimacy of the moment, as you gently pushed away. You laughed at the startled expression on your boyfriend’s face, his arms still out stretched to where you had been just seconds before. You could already hear the whine of him missing the feel of you in his arms, and you’d be lying if you said you didn’t miss that same warmth. But you’d be damned if you let him get the better of you. “So how about a race? Last one to that buoy,” you pointed to a small floating figure a few yards away, “has to give the other one thing of their choosing.”
Upon hearing this, Leo’s dejected face lit up with mischief. “Anything of their choosing?” He asked, trademark smirk already back in place. God that mouth was going to be the death of you.
“Within reason,” you replied, the same mischief dancing in your eyes.
He made a face and looked to sky as if thinking long and hard about the proposition. “Okay, but you can’t whine and be a sore loser when I win,” Leo said as he drew his shoulders back and stretched his arms. You gently shook your head, knowing regardless of how this race ended you would be anything but a loser.
“Don’t be so sure of yourself, Faceman,” you scoffed, lining yourself up next to Leo to create a makeshift equal starting point. “Ready?” At his nod, you continued, “On my mark. Three, two...” before you finished the countdown, you took a large breath and dove into the water, making sure to create as big of a splash as possible as you vehemently kicked your legs. Hopefully the spray and slight head start would distract Leo just enough to give you a chance at reaching the buoy first.
You felt your heart racing as you kept pushing your arms and legs to move you forward in the water. If you weren’t underwater, you would’ve laughed at the burst of adrenaline you felt pulse through you. It had been so long since you felt such a surge of energy in a playful manner and not during a fight for your life. You relished in the feel of your body humming as you continued to push yourself towards the buoy and the tantalizing prize it held.
The salt of the ocean stung your eyes and turned everything around you into a blurry background. Luckily, you could still make out the faint shadow and shape of the buoy just a few feet ahead. With another frantic kick of your legs, you angled your body upwards, head breaking the surface of the water with a gasp as you take in some much needed oxygen. You treaded water for a moment as you gathered your bearings, praying you wouldn’t be met with the smug face of your favorite turtle in blue. Pushing your now thoroughly salt-infused hair out of your face (Oh April is going to have WORDS about your hair care later, you’re sure of it), you glanced around the buoy. A smirk found its way to your face as you noticed the only sign of him was the bubbles and ripples coming from where you came. You let out a “Whoop!” knowing you’d managed to best the turtle literally at his own game. Oh you are never going to let him live this one down!
Judging by the speed and movement of the bubbles and ripples heading your way, you guessed you had maybe thirty seconds before Leo reached you. Still riding high on the adrenaline of the game (and the fact that you actually won), you quickly maneuvered yourself to the other side of the large buoy, hiding and thinking of the best way to make a dramatic reveal that even Donnie would be envious of.
But that moment never came.
As you leaned back against the buoy, hands covering your mouth as you tried to contain your giggling, you suddenly felt your legs aggressively swept from under you. In a split second, your body was being quickly and roughly pulled back into the water by an impossibly strong current, farther from the shore and away from the buoy. Away from Leo.
You involuntarily let out a small yelp as you are suddenly dragged under the water, causing the air to leave your lungs and water to take its place. You frantically start to move your arms and kick your legs, trying to make your way back to the surface. But which way was the surface? The riptide, as you quickly realized it to be, had you pinned in its current, spinning and pulling you around so you no longer knew which way was up. You had no idea which direction the surface and the air you so desperately needed were. For all you knew, you could be pushing yourself further down into your own demise. With that realization, panic truly set in. The ripples of adrenaline that were so thrilling earlier now turned the blood in your veins to ice.
Your lungs burned as they fought for oxygen, and pretty soon you could no longer resist your body’s urge to take a breath. Sea water once again filled your mouth and your lungs, causing the burning to intensify. You couldn’t think, couldn’t call for help, couldn’t find a way out. This was it. You’d fought aliens and mutants for years, but this unrelenting force of nature is what was going to finally kill you.
As your vision began to grow dark, you thought of your life. All you had seen and done. Late night pizza and game nights with the turtles. Nights out on the town with April. And most of all, Leo. Cuddling with him on the couch. The small smile he saved for you and only you. The way he would grab you from behind and nuzzle his face in the crook of your neck when you weren’t looking. The two of you dancing around the kitchen as you laughed and your dinner inevitably burned on the stove.
You kept your thoughts focused on those blissful memories, those moments of happiness, as you finally succumbed to the dark.
----------
“On my mark. Three, two...” Leo was suddenly blinded as a large spray of water hit his face, causing him to sputter and frantically wipe at his eyes, even if his turtle biology meant he really didn’t need to. By the time he opened them again, he saw that you were already a few yards ahead.
“Hey that’s cheating!” he yelled with a laugh before diving in himself.
Splashing and playing around in the water had been amazing, but this? This was a completely different story. He could feel himself swiftly glide through the water as he swam with all his strength, unleashing his pent up tension on the now churning waves. His arms and legs burned slightly from the exertion, and he reveled in it. Reveled in the complete freedom he felt as he quickly chased after you.
Even from so many yards away, the bubbles caused by your frantic kicking obstructed his view of you. Anxiety at not being able to see you niggled at the back of his brain, but he pushed it down. You were here, right in front of him, with no one else around for miles. You were safe.
And beating his ass.
Leo put on another burst of speed, trying to think of any way he could gain an edge on the lead you had so unfairly taken. He already knew exactly what he was going to do with his prize, and he sure as hell wasn’t going to let your underhanded start to the race derail his plans.
He thought back to the way you had looked after he had dunked you in the water, skin glittering in the dying light, lovely curves framed in the sunset reaching the horizon behind you. Your beaming smile (even as you berated him for the state of your hair) left him breathless in a way the pushing surf could never do on its own. You were the picture of perfection. He still couldn’t believe that after all these years you were his.
The smile his thoughts pulled to his face dropped an inch as he realized the bubbles leading to the buoy had stopped, meaning you had made it to the finish line. Damn it! He resigned himself to the gloating you were sure to subject him to as he angled himself towards the surface.
“Okay there’s no way that counts! You so cheated at the beginning!” Leo was already exclaiming as his head broke the surface of the water. He looked around, his feigned exasperation turning into confusion when he wasn’t met with your bragging smirk. You had beaten him, hadn’t you? Surely he hadn’t bypassed you without knowing it. He looked back the way you both had come, but sure enough there were no ripples, bubbles, or you to be found.
“Y/N?” he said, anxiety again starting to pull at the back of his mind. He took a deep breath. Surely you were just wanting to rile him up for a grand reveal, or maybe you wanted to jump out and scare him. With this thought in mind, he edged around the buoy to see if maybe you were hiding there, but the other side remained empty as well. Swimming closer, he felt a slight tug and surge of water around his legs, the remnants of what must have been a strong current now fading away. A strong current...
Leo felt his heart seize as he looked past the buoy and into the vast open water beyond. He remembered his father’s warnings about riptides and the immense power and danger they possess. Leo himself had never really been afraid of them, after all he was predisposed to be a natural in the water. But you on the other hand...
He dove back into the water, steering himself in the direction of the current. His mind was spinning with dread as he pushed his arms and legs hard and fast. How long ago had the riptide taken you? What if it had changed directions? What if it had dragged you even further down? What if he couldn’t find you? What if, if he did, it was too late?
He shook off the thoughts with a growl, even as his chest tightened in panic. No, he would find you. After all you had been through together, all the plans you still had yet to do, there was no other option. He frantically scanned the water ahead of him, double checking every bubble and varied flicker of light, straining for any sight of your bright blue swimsuit. The very ocean and sun above seemed to be mocking him with short glimpses that turned out to just be tricks of the light. Leo’s muscles burned, but he kept going, kept scanning, kept trying to calm the racing of his heart and the panic seizing every ounce of common sense he had left, until suddenly, there!
Just a few yards ahead, you were suspended in the water, limbs floating aimlessly above you, any fight you had clearly depleted. The bright blue of your swim suit shown against your skin like a beacon, and Leo made a beeline towards it. Just as he was a few feet away, arms outstretched towards you, he saw your eyes shutter and fall closed as the tension in your body seemed to leak out.
No, no no No NO NO NO! Leo wanted to scream, to cry, to beg you to hold on just a little longer. With another frantic kick, he reached you, arms encircling your now limp form, immediately angling his body upwards. He kicked and twisted his core until the two of you finally broke the surface, him gasping for air and you bone-chillingly silent in his arms.
“Y/N? Y/N?! Come on, please wake up, I’ve got you,” Leo looked down at you in his arms, one hand coming up to press against your face as he pleaded with you to just open your eyes and end this nightmare. But nothing changed. Your eyes remained resolutely shut, and your chest stayed still.
As the family medic, Leo was well-versed in CPR, but to do it in the middle of open water was out of even his abilities, and he knew it. He looked back to the shore. The riptide had dragged you about a half a mile away, well past the buoy and safe waters the two of you had enjoyed mere minutes ago. He had to get there, had to get you on land if he had even a chance at saving you.
“Hold on Y/N, I’ve got you, just please hold on,” his voice broke, but he looked determinedly back at the shore. Clutching you to his chest with one arm, he fought with all he had against the still fading current. He kicked his legs and surged the arm not holding you forward and back, trying desperately to keep your head above water. Leo watched as the shore slowly, too slowly, got closer and closer. His mind reeled with panic as he silently begged with the universe or anyone that would listen to get you both to the shore in time, to let your eyes open.
Finally, Leo reached the shallows of the beach. He planted his feet on the ocean floor and lifted you bridal style in his arms as he continued his race to the shore. He nearly fell, his body jarring as it shifted from the relative fluidity of the water to the harsh gravitational pull of solid land. He felt himself pitch forward, but managed to keep both of you upright on his shaky legs. As he ran, you stayed limp in his arms, head lolling back and arms dangling to the sides. Leo whimpered at the sight and pushed on until he finally made it the dry sand.
Immediately, he laid you on the ground and started doing chest compressions. His limbs were shaking both from the overexertion and the panic coursing through them, but he continued to apply rhythmic pressure, never faltering in the beat. After a few seconds, he lifted his face and shaky hand to yours, plugging your nose as he forced air back into your lungs. He couldn’t help the shiver of absolute dread as he felt just how cold and unmoving your usually plush and warm lips were against his own.
He pulled back and continued the cycle again, his movements and breathing becoming more and more frantic as time went on. “Please, please wake up. I can’t-” he choked back a sob, tears already flowing freely down his face. This was actually happening. He was losing you. He wasn’t fast enough, wasn’t strong enough. All those plans for the future had been ripped away and thrown into the deep waters. He was on his fourth cycle of chest compressions now, putting what little strength his adrenaline and panic would give him into the action. “Please mi amor, please, please, please,” he was too exhausted, too panicked to do anything but beg as he threw everything he had into saving you.
He looked down at your still expressionless face as he shifted his hand up to cup your jaw, a sob finally escaping his own lips. He brushed his thumb against your cool cheek before raising his hand back up to plug your nose so he could again try to breathe life back into you. As he angled his face downwards, your chest heaved and water gurgled from your mouth. Hope flaring, Leo quickly brought himself back upright and tilted you on your side, gently patting and then rubbing your back as you coughed and heaved sea water onto the beach.
After what felt like an eternity, water stopped pouring from your mouth and you were able to draw in a much-need, if shaky, breath. You heard a voice cooing at you from above, telling you to breathe, that you were okay, that you were safe. You latched onto the voice, even though you couldn’t see its owner. Breathe, okay, safe. You followed the voice, breathing in as much air as your battered lungs would allow. You stared at the infinite shore ahead of you as it all came rushing back. The race, the riptide, the endless pushing and pulling you down, down, down. Your shoulders shook as you struggled to draw in breath again. You had drowned. You had been dragged deep into the waters, never to see your family again, never to see Leo again. But here you were, on the shore, out of the water’s devilish grasp. The voice continued its mantra, and you felt soothing circles being rubbed into your back. That voice. You’d know it anywhere, how could you not?
You shifted your weight so that you laid on your back and no longer stared at the expanse of water. You looked up, and there he was, tears still streaking down his face as his eyes scanned yours and landed on your gaze. For a moment you both just looked at each other, the only sounds being your grating breaths and the crashing of the ocean behind you. He was here. Despite the water’s attempts, you were here, looking into his beautiful, heartbroken face. The terror was still there, but hope surged in his eyes as he continued to look at you, still silent for once, almost as if not wanting to disrupt the dream.
Not breaking eye contact, you reached up a shaky hand and cupped his cheek, thumb rubbing away some of the tears. He immediately leaned into the touch, a shuttering breath ripping out of him. “Oh Leo,” you managed to croak.
That seemed to break the trance. The tears renewed their freefall as Leo’s face crumbled. He pulled you into his arms until you were sitting in his lap and crushed you to his chest. You wrapped your arms around his neck as he buried his face in the crook of yours, letting out shuttering sobs that broke your heart. As he had done for you earlier, you whispered comfort into his ears, saying you were all right, that you were here. You felt your own eyes misting over as he desperately clutched to you, still shaking with emotion.
You stayed like that for a long time, Leo’s sobs slowly quieting and his shaking lessening. Finally, he pulled back just enough to see your face, which was now wet with your own tears. Ever so gently, he lifted his hand to trail his fingers along your face, wiping away the wetness he found there. Closing his eyes, he pressed your foreheads together. “I thought I’d lost you,” his whispered, a single tear escaping his closed lids.
Your chest ached at the utter agony that laced those few words. You couldn’t imagine what he had just gone through, seeing you so unresponsive, dragging you to shore. If the roles had been reversed... You shuddered at the thought.
“I know love, I know. But I’m here, thanks to you.” You kept your hands interlocked around his neck, needing to keep him close. “It’ll take a lot more than a little water to take me away from you,” you reassured with a watery smile. At that he pulled slightly away and locked his gaze with yours. You sucked in a breath at the pain in his eyes.
Dragging your hands from his neck to his cheeks, you pulled his mouth towards you, sealing your declaration with a kiss. You felt him melt into the contact as his hands found your waist and pulled you that much closer to him. The kiss was soft, desperately slow, as if you were both trying to memorize the way the other moved and felt. Finally pulling away for breath, you rose your eyes to his, as you both finally relaxed into the comfortable silence.
“You know, even though I definitely won the race, I think I’ll give you the prize,” you said cheekily. You smiled as you were rewarded with a soft chuckle from Leo.
“You better, especially after you cheated to begin with,” he snarked back, lightly pinching your waist, causing you to squirm in his lap.
“And what does my hero wish to receive as his reward?”
His gaze softened, once again pulling you close. “Stay with me,” he whispered.
You felt yourself melt under the weight of his words. “Always.”

WOAHHH-LY FUCK- THE WAY YOU WROTE THE SELF AWARE IS AMAZING IM INLOVE
Can I request a part 2 where not only don and raph is self aware but now Mikey and Leo are too? They're also yandere n romantic. This may be bad for reader cause now they got 4 yandere turtles planning to transport them in their world
each time I am more and more surprised by the requests that they ask me.
YANDERE! ROTTMNT SELF AWARE TEAM UP! X READER
Tumblr media
PART ONE:
If Leo and Mikey start hearing and seeing you, it will be even worse than if only Donnie and Raph could see you.
Mikey is delighted that you are from another universe, but at the same time you are able to communicate with them.
While you're not watching, Donnie continues to create a special machine to teleport you to them. He carefully draws up a schedule and diagrams, following the instructions. He is obsessed with seeing you completely.
the same can be said about other turtles.
Mikey likes to lift your mood and any tactile actions towards you.
Raph shows his abilities and communicates with you.
Leo flirts with you and does tricks with the portals of his sword, sometimes throwing you over them.
Over time, the brothers literally take away 24 hours a day from you. This is made known by your frequent absenteeism from school / college / university, and almost complete cessation of communication with friends.
noticing this, you start trying to limit the amount of communication, because you obviously didn't need problems.
it didn't mean that you didn't like communicating with them, no, you just needed to rest and solve problems.
however, the turtle brothers took it the wrong way...
when you left to solve problems, the turtles came up with a plan for your appearance. Donnie's teleportation technique was about ready.
-" Should I say that this is just a machine for analyzing something?" - Leonardo asked his brother the scientist.
- "it would be better if we say that this machine is in order to find out how it can interact with us, and what happens to its shell when it contacts us." - Donnie answered.
everyone nodded. No one wanted to lose the chance of you getting into their world.
They have... it turned out successfully. It's literally beyond the realm of fiction, but you were really there.Only fully, as a person of this world.
you were upset that the turtles deceived you for their own benefit. It was impossible to escape, they had equipment, weapons and ways that you simply can't fight.
to feel each of them hugging you while you were upset about it was really.... unpleasant.
even if they loved you.

The Third Wheel
( Enjoy This Cute little Leosagi ( Ft Donnie ) Oneshot! )
Donnie Reached for a slice of pizza, stretching their hand just far enough across the table to grab a slice, bringing it back to themself and taking a small bite, their focus directed to their phone.
" Donnie!" Leo Hissed, scooting ever so slightly closer to Donnie, to which Donnie completely ignored. Keeping their eyes locked down on their phone.
" Donnie Pleaseee!!" Leo Whined, Now Shoulder To shoulder with his twin, looking up at him with puppy dog eyes.
Donnie, Being Feed up with their twin, groaned and placed their phone down on the table, now directing their gaze down at their 'twin' brother. Their eyes narrowing as they rubbed their head. "What... What Could You Possibly Need Nardo-?"
Leo, Who for some reason looked very nervous, inhaled a shaky breath, his cheeks flushing a soft red. "Uhh... So You know that waiter that brought us to our table... And brought us our pizza... the Rabbit Guy-?"
Donnie Raised A eyebrow, now curious. "...Yeah-?"
"Do You...Uh... Do You think you could help me ask him out-?"
"... You've Got To Be Shitting Me, Leo.."
" I'm Serious!" Leo Mumbled, Clearly embarrassed, Shrinking in on himself. " H-He's really cute-! And Well.. Uh... I'm bad at romance, Dee.." Leo's gaze directed to somewhere ( Or Someone ) in front of him, seeing this, Donnie Followed his gaze. And There stood the Rabbit Waiter Dude, Standing over near the kitchen. Chatting with some of his friends, Donnie Assumed.
" Leo, I deeply appreciate you." Donnie Sighed, placing a hand on Their Brothers Shoulder. " But I think I can confirm, That neither you or me have love advice or skills to pick up Boys.. Okay-?" Donnie patted him on the shoulder, before going back to his phone. " Good Talk.." Donnie Mumbled Under his breath.
"Donnie!!" Leo Whined Again, snatching Donnie's phone from their hands, to which Donnie Hissed, trying to grab it back. " You are going to help me! Because.. Uh... Because This The Favor I get for covering up that Atomic Lass fanfic incident!"
Donnie's mouth hanged up, prepared to make a snarky response back, But ended up just shutting their mouth, pouting and crossing their arms. "Fine...." Donnie Groaned.
" Ok Good, So the Plan Is-"
" Can I Get You Guys The check?"
Both Twins Squeaked, shocked by the sudden voice of none other, The Waiter, Who raised a eyebrow at the response he was given, a small smirk growing on his lips.
While Leo Started Making ( Awkward ) Small Talk with the waiter, Donnie was quickly scanning over the guy. Donnie Could see what Leo saw in him. He was, In Leo terms, 'Cute.' With Red Eyeliner ( Just For Under his eyes ) with his ears pinned back in a ponytail, ( Which Donnie found impressive.) Donnie Half-way trusted this guy with their Brother's well-being. And with that analysis, Donnie slipped a pen out of his bag and started to, very quietly, write down Leo's Number on a spare napkin.
Soon Enough, The waiter brought back the check and started collecting the plates, Leo was in the Men's room. Perfect timing. Donnie tapped the waiter's shoulder, to which the waiter perked up and looked over at them. " Yes?"
Donnie pushed the napkin across the table, letting it rest in front of the waiter. " My brother thinks you're attractive, Here's his Number. You better call him." Donnie replied blankly.
The waiter flushed red, snatching the napkin up and gently stuffing it into his pocket, collecting the rest of the plates in the meantime. As the waiter started to leave, he turned back to face Donnie, To which he gave them a small nod and a silent thank you.
Donnie chuckled to themself, not even realizing Leo slipped back into the booth, nudging donnie in the side. " Thanks Dee." Leo Smiled brightly, clearly happy with the situation.
Donnie shrugged, playing it off as if it were nothing. but secretly, they were sorta happy for their brother. "Don't Mention It."
" Oh, And By the Way. I found out the Guy's Name, It's Usagi."
The End (?)

It'll Be Okay, Big Man
Tumblr media
You know it's crazy how fast society moves on as a whole after the world was so close to ending.
It's crazy how quick they just forget four mutants stopped an alien invasion.
Even as the city was being cleared of the debris, torn buildings, the weird ooey-gooey bubble gum looking fungus? Not even scientists knew what to call it. Either way, even as they seen the evidence something big had went down in New York City everyone just seemed to move on, making jokes about it for clout and giggles, nobody seemed to be too shaken at what happened, yeah?
Humans just seem to be silly like that. They don't acknowledge anything that they don't fully understand. Well, while society as a whole moved on, forgot that the sky opened to make way for a huge alien spaceship that seemed to come from the back of a fucking Lebanese shawarma restaurant, forgot about how it looked like a deadass apocalypse went down in New York, there were a few that acknowledged what actually happened- you could even go as to say they were in the center of everything that went down. They were probably the ones that made the spaceship explode, they were probably the ones that made the sky close back up, they could have been the reason New York was able to go back to whatever was trending that week. Don't ask me who, I probably wouldn't know.
It's hard to move on like the news channels decided they would when you were in the middle of it.
Who are these people? I know you're waiting for me to shit it out
Raphael was having a lot of trouble moving on like those silly humans did.
Those stupid thoughts wouldn't leave his head like he wished they would. This wasn't like him at all, he was so out of it. He doesn't even remember what he did under the Kraang's control if he was being deadass. Part of him wishes he did but the slightly bigger part was grateful he doesn't.
Raphael couldn't help but think it was his fault, what exactly? Everything. From the very beginning, to the end of it where it almost ended in his younger brother getting stranded in a whole ass different dimension with something his dad would've told him wasn't real because monsters didn't exist, it was Raph's fault.
Everything that happened that day still haunts him, and he hasn't told anybody about it.
Raphael hasn't told anybody how he gets little flashes- little visions- images- whatever you wanna call it- little touches- feelings- it doesn't matter. It was evident to him that the battle he had to fight internally to win the external was far deeper than he thought. 'Tough shit,' he wants to tell himself. He tries- he really does, he wants everything to be normal again, those little arguments with Leo he could deal with, they always made up- but more importantly he just wants that sticking feeling to go away.
Raphael felt dirty.
You had a feeling Raph wasn't being honest with you. He seemed... off. That's sugarcoating it, he seemed as if he was ready to break down at any moment- any second- you felt it coming.
So there you were heading, to him, you'd already sent a text explaining you on the way to the lair, ready to see your boyfriend. He seen the text and had replied with an 'okay! <3' to which you smiled at softly and picked up your pace, you and the teddy bear in your hand. You were gonna dominate the world with that motherfucker, jus look at 'im!
Earlier, you had decided to put a little gift basket together for your boyfriend. You'd figured he'd needed some extra loving right now, he wasn't so great at hiding it. That- or you knew him very well. Why can't it be both?
You put little pieces of candy you were sure he liked, a king sized bar of Twix because let's be fucking real, they're better than your grammies cookies. You'd included little plushies, a blanket, a little album of pictures with his family- you and April included, and the teddy bear which was currently in your other hand.
Raph would like it, and you hoped it would make him feel better, at least bring a sense of comfort to him in his state. Maybe added cuddles and kisses would help if it didn't. For once, you were confident in your ability to give gifts to people you actually like. The chances of him liking it were higher than the chances it would make him feel worse so you figured- hey! why the fuck not?
You're such a good partner.
Alas, you arrived at the lair, goodies in hand, high hopes for your reptilian boyfriend. You walk some ways to find Raph in his room, curling a dumbbell whilst sitting on his bed. You smile and walk towards him with the gifts in hand, "Hey teddy bear," im sorry i visibly cringed. "How are you?" You ask, testing him, will he lie and tell you he's fine? Will he open up to a conversation about it? You hoped it was the second option.
Raph's face lights up as he sees your good looking ass, even more so as he sees you brought gifts too. "Heya sugar! Raph's doing just fine," Liar "how about you?" He smiles and gets up, placing the dumbbell down and pulls you into a gentle hug. "You brought gifts?" He adds with a smile.
You decided to ignore his little lie, as you were going to bring it up in a bit anyways, instead, choosing to answer his questions. "I'm doing alright," you add with a smile, reciprocating the hug best you could with the things in your hand. "Yeah, I figured you needed a smile." And that was your first attempt to attack the situation.
Raph raised a brow, and allowed you to put the stuff down, and sit on his bed. He joined you, the bed dipping at his added weight. "Why do you say that sweetie?" You knew him better than he thought.
"Well," You start, "Lately you've been off, and by 'off' I mean you seem upset. Upset with yourself. And you've been on edge." You finish, looking at him, scanning his face, and you came to the conclusion he was about to break. "Do you want to talk about it?" You gently ask, placing the teddy bear in his lap.
Raph sighed, so many things, so much stress, so much fear. Damn. "I'm not a good brother." He says quietly, so quietly you thought it was in your head. After convincing yourself he actually spoke and you didn't hit your head that fucking hard in the morning, you sigh quietly and bring him closer to you.
"Why do you say that?" You murmur quietly, rubbing his arms in a comforting manner. You scan his face for any clue, hint, anything that might give it away (thought you were sure it was the reason you had in mind). His eyes welled up with tears and you sighed. "You don't have to tell me right now." You assured him softly, you'd figure he would talk about it when he was ready. You look to the basket of stuff and a soft smile comes across your face, he needed a small distraction right now.
"Hey Raph," You start and he looks to you with glossy eyes, giving a hum in response, you offer a small sympathetic smile to your boyfriend in return and reach for the basket and had it to him. "You never got to look at what else was inside, would you like to do that instead right now?" You ask and a small smile makes it's way across Raph's face. He clears his throat and nods, "Sure thing, sweets." He looks at you in gratitude as a silent way of calming down and thanking you for it.
Raph opens the basket and his small smile turns into a brighter grin, "Aw baby, my favorite candy! I knew keeping around would do me some good!" He gives you a wet kiss on your cheek making you giggle and swat at him with pink cheeks. "Hey!" You couldn't keep the giggles from escaping as you tried to sound mad at him for his comment, "What did you mean by that?!" Raph chuckles and shrugs, "Don't worry about it." He replies. As he looks through the basket he finds the little plushies and immediately his sadness is gone. "Baby!" He pulls you onto his lap and squeezes you tight (always careful to never be too tight), he pulls out the blankets and wraps them around you both, immediately feeling back at home. He finds the album and immediately you feel some weight lift off of his shoulders as if you two were one.
You two spend the rest of the night flipping through the photo album under the blanket as he snacks on his candy, plushies all around you guys, problems pushed aside for now. It was just you and him.
Raphael's problems were nowhere near gone, nowhere near fixed and if he sat quiet for long enough he would feel that need to be cleansed- he would feel dirty again.
Even though that may be true, he simply didn't feel it when you were there to make his mood better, it didn't erase his problems, no,
but he knows you'll always be there to tell him,
"It'll Be Okay, Big Man."

_______________________________________
Another message notification pops up onto their phone, which is followed by the short, familiar, high pitched ringing that reminds them that someone just texted them. It's the seventh time today, well, the seventh time in half an hour to be exact, almost as if the messenger is eager for them to reply, however, their attention remains on the note book that's placed on their desk. (Reader's) gaze is locked on the page, the half of the sheet is filled and scribbled with multiple assignments and notes that they finished, looking at the freshly written letters and numbers on the worn piece of paper with a proud, yet tired look on their face. Their hand lets loose off of the pen, setting it aside for a moment to take a small breather before they move on to the next piece of homework that they have. Although the assignments felt never ending, that didn't stop (Reader) from getting them done and even if they didn't have anything to do in terms of homework, they would make up an assignment of their own, all for the sake of learning and learning, in order to achieve more in life.
Sometimes, they would set aside stuff like hang outs, friends, and most importantly their own health- as well rest and taking breaks, even if they are short ones. The most of a hangout they would do is if they study, or go to a competition with someone, in order for their friends to see them thrive at their victory. And the most of a break that they would allow themselves to take was to just take a deep breath, to mentally prepare themselves for the next thing. And at the moment, it felt like the time to catch that break.
With their chest slowly rising upwards, their breathing is soon tagged along with a yawn that's about to spill from their mouth, a yawn which they try to repress by locking their lips shut- before sliding their hand up to their face in order to keep it from coming out. They feel the muscles in their sore collarbones stretch as their shoulders rise, their head sliding upwards a bit, their gaze shifting from the notebook to the ceiling in a matter of seconds. That proud little smile that played on their lips just a moment ago vanishes off of their face.
They can't deny that they feel a little dozed off at the moment, although, they have more work to do, and they shall get it done.
They force their body to relax once more, feeling a little limp from the lack of movement. They've been sitting down at their desk for a couple of hours now, refraining themselves from getting up until they've finished everything they have and want to get done.
Shaking off their dizziness, replacing it with determination to finish more assignments, they hang their head down low to stare at the notebook, blinking a little in order to get rid of their hazy vision. The letters and sentences on the page become a little distorted at first glance, however- (Reader), has already memorized what they wrote down, along with what they needed to do. Their fingers stretch forward onto their desk, reaching for their pen- their hand feeling a little limp as they do so. Their eyebrows narrow a little at this, their fading gaze locking onto their hand, glaring at it for a brief second.
It's almost as if they are mentally scolding themselves that it's silly of them to stop working, just because of a little fatigue.. Well, fatigue that's slowly taking over their body that is.
Despite that, (Reader) pushes the tired feeling away, attempting to battle it with a want for pride, knowledge and satisfaction, therefore pushing themselves further as well, to finish their homework. Normally, whenever they are in need of motivation, they would lock their eyes at the multiple medals and trophies from both past, and recent competitions, prizes and rewards sit proudly on their shelf above the TV set in their room, but at the moment, they feel as if they can't bring themselves to strife their attention away. As their hand begins to pull the pen towards them, shifting in their fingers in order to get a good grip on it, the faint- and this time, somewhat distorted sound of the message notification that emits from their phone, passes through their ears once more, followed by screen flashing automatically. The bright glow of their phone is one of the few things at the moment that successfully captures their attention, although their brain- is telling them to not allow themselves to look or do anything that could wipe away their focus. Nonetheless, they snap their head at the glowing device, the light that contrasts through the dim room sends a small stab of pain towards their head, making them shut their eyes closed for a couple of moments, their eyelids feeling as if they are glued.
They slowly open their eyes, trying to adjust their vision to the environment around them Secretly and silently, they prayed that their eyes would remain closed- however, that prayer was short lived, as it was eliminated by yet another fast, strict scold of their brain, therefore opening their eyes so that they can at least get a glimpse of who is messaging them at this hour.
And once they do so, their eyes are met, or more likely re-introduced, to the vibrating, and bright device, along with the name of the eager messenger.

Their fatigued mind does a little equation in order to remember who..
oh... Leo.
(Reader's) eyes widen a little at the realisation. The person who was messaging them was their partner. He was messaging them for at least half an hour and they didn't even spare a glimpse at his messages. They felt a small pang of guilt hit their mind, almost like waves to the shore. It drowns away their determination, though, it's just for a moment. Their hand shivers a little as it abandons the pen, their fingers being a little stained with the blue ink that was meant to help them complete their assignments and it's now instead, inching closer to their phone to unlock the screen, and enter the messaging app. Squinting their eyes at the white screen, trying to make out the texts of their partner with a fuzzy vision, they sense another yawn coming their way. Their hands twitch a little, lips sewing themselves shut in an attempt to contain their energy.
If managing to stay awake after pulling four all nighters in one week was a competition, they would unfortunately lose, despite the many wins that they've had so far.
And it's a competition that they, like many others, have to win. But the few things that could help them win are their stubborn mindset, the glow of their phone and the muffled knocking coming from behind their window.
Wait, knocking from the window..? Their head spins at the direction of the noise. It falters for a second, going quite for a short period of time. Soon enough, that sound was substituted by their phone vibrating in their hand. That little notion was followed by the sudden sound of chirping sounds, that came from the same device. (Reader) didn't even have to look to understand who was calling them, they recognised the caller by the sound of the off the ringtone. A sound that they understand when their mutant partner is calling them, the sound of red eared slider turtle chirping.
Despite knowing who it was, the sound surprised them and jolted them awake, for a short period of time that is. With a heavy heart, and a hitched sigh, they leave behind their wants for knowledge, just for a couple of moments to go and either greet him, or to try and explain to him to leave alone them with their homework, their body shivers a little from exhaustion as they pull themselves away from the chair, their feet struggling to stabilize them.
They felt a small groan rip from their hoarse throat, which reminds them that they have to drink water, although- they brush off that thought. With their hand squeezing the vibrating device and their body practically slumping, (Reader) forces themselves to straighten their posture as they walk, or more likely stomp closer to the window. As they slumped closer to it, the shadowy- although recognisable silhouette of the blue cladded terrapin waiting at their window fills their vision, a sight that would usually surprise them in a positive manner, however at the moment- they saw it as a distraction. But they couldn't bring themselves to protest against it, not at the moment at least.
After reaching the window of their room, they raise their arm upwards to knock back to him, the cool and smooth surface of the thick glass making contact with their soft skin, the light pressure of their knuckles creating a couple of quick tapping sounds which immediately grasp the turtle's attention, who whips his head to look at them through the thick glass. Once his focus is locked onto them, (Reader) catches a glimpse of a little grin appearing on his face, which gives them the message that he is happy to see them. However, they don't open the window immediately like they would usually do, therefore not allowing him to enter.
This causes his smile to falter a tiny bit, an undertone of concern could be briefly seen on his face. The slider's mouth opens, mouthing something at them- his faint voice slips away from both (Reader's) ears, and mind. Nonetheless, they still notice his concern and they decide to not waste any more by just letting out their partner in the cold. With quick, yet forced movements, they began unlocking the window, putting their hands on its smooth sill, pulling it in order to get it open.
It was normally a swift motion, however, they struggled to get it open, as their arms started to feel weak as well, but they managed- and once they did, their legs thumped backwards so that they can make room for the mutant to come in, which he swiftly did- in almost excited pace. A cold gust of the fresh, midnight wind tagged along with Leonardo's entrance, bringing a rather pleasant contrast to the damp atmosphere of (Reader's) room. Letting fresh air in their room is, as well, one of the things that they forget to do whenever they study for long periods of time.
They can't argue with the fact it's pleasant having Leonardo over, however- there are more pleasant things in life, like gaining knowledge and fixing up their grades.
"Oh, man- that felt like forever.." The blue clad complained in a somewhat playful manner, his voice rang around his partner's room, filling the silence that they were so used to these past couple days. However, there's a worried undertone creeping up on his words.. one that's familiar with them.
"Yeah, uh.." They can hear their own voice straining a little as they start speaking, that same hoarse tone finding its way in their words. It makes them want to grimace, and the dryness that is stuck in their throat as they try to clear it is not any help either.
God, they really need to get some water, and they are not the only one who thinks that. (Reader) shudders a small breath, trying to recollect their energy that abandoned them just a few minutes ago.
"Leo- listen, about the messages, I'm sorry but-" Once more, they start speaking, feeling as if they own their partner an apology. They try to make their voice a little more audible to both their and the sliders ears, as it sounds a bit scratchy for comfort. Despite their attempts at soothing their discomforting tone, it's all in vain- and it's not long before they are cut out by the slider.
"Woahwoahwoah! I've- I've got a question.." He quickly shushes them up, the little smile he had on his face begins to fade away into an expression of worry as he takes a mental note of their state. Their slumping, their tired looking state. It was a worrysome sight to look at, but the mutant should have expected something like this to happen. He can also guess the reasoning behind their lack of responses for the past hour..
Okay, the past days If we are being literate. (Reader) can as well sense, what he is going to ask-
"Oooh- Is that medal new??" ..Only for their prediction to go out of the window as they now hear the distracted and rather amazed tone of voice of their partner, his focus doing a whole 180 as his eyes lock on the shelf that holds all the rewards that they've earned. Upon seeing him get so thrilled over their achievement, (Reader) lets a mental sigh of relief to cross over their hazy mind, as well as feeling a stinge on pride pinching at the corners of their brain. In these types of cases, they would happily explain to him the effort they put into gaining their prize, sharing fun facts about the things that went down at the competition as well, although now, it didn't feel like the best time for explanations, no matter how much they would like like to talk. So, to keep things short, they just give a quick nod- a tired smile forming onto lips as they do so.
Their head then shifts directions, eyes now glueing at the notebook on their desk. At this point, they can barely recognise the containments on it, despite the fact that it's used as a reminder for them to get their homework done. The longer they look at it, the more Leo's compliments and positive comments begin to spill out of their brain, soon, completely missing his distracted rambling.
Those assignments. They have to get them done. They have to finish them. They need to-
"(Reader)? Hey-! The earth and the galaxies are all calling to (Reader)!" It's not long before the slider snaps them back to reality, the motion of his gloved palm running up and down their face, just inches away from touching them. The quick motions block whatever sight they once had with the scribbled sheet. It resulted in a small yelp to rip from their throat, therefore startling both themselves and the blue clad. They almost forgot he was in their room for a moment. Hitching a sigh, before relaxing their body-they make one last attempt to clear their throat, rapidly fluttering their eyes so that they can fix their poor eyesight. However, their slumping state is bringing great worry to their partner and before they could even get a word out, he cuts them off.
"Eeggh.. Yeesh, you don't look- you don't look so good."
He looks at their face. It appears to be a little hollow, exhausted even, there are dark bags that surround their eyes as well.
He thought about making a little joke, asking what kind of brand those bags are- a joking question that he usually makes to Donnie. However, he acknowledges that this might not be the moment for such jokes.
A grimace takes place scrunches up on his face, it's not particularly a look of disgust, but rather a look of solicitude. A look in which, despite their fuzzy vision, is noticed by (Reader). They know that he is right, they know it..

Tagging @gal-with-pastels cause they are the one who created Galileo for me and all credit to his design goes to them!
Donnies vision blurred, whether it be the rain flooding his unblinking eyes or the bitter sting of tears. He threw aside rubble and broken wood... The very thing he had built with his wife, the beginning of a new home, a new life they were going to start... A New Generation.
And look where it was now. Half of the small hut destroyed, falling in on itself. He lofted the final board that was littered in scratch marks and blood, revealing the wet, muddy floor beneath it. No one underneath.
He gripped the board, jaw tensing as his fingers dug into the wet wood, throwing it across the woods while letting out a strangled scream of anger as he watched it fly across the sky, falling off into bushes.
"WHERE IS SHE!?"
He shouted as if he'd get an answer, clutching the sides of his head clawing at his soaking wet mask. He just stayed like that, on his knees as the mud and water soaked his knees. The rain poured down harshly on his body, barely bothering him anymore as it leaked down his snout and limbs, now numb to the cold.
Gone. It was all gone. It was all lost. The moment he saw smoke in the distance as he trekked back from visiting his brothers with his children, he knew it was bound to happen.
He knew from the moment he broke into a sprint, leaving his children to his brothers, he wouldn't make it in time.
He would be too late.
Chime...
Donnies eyes snapped open at the sound as it broke through the silence of nothing but thundering and rain.
Chime...
He lifted his head from his hands, looking to the half of the house that was still standing... The claw marks dig into the sides of the wood. The blood stains smeared across the walls, which showed a sign of struggle. The faint burn marks of lazers and smoke still ingering in the air, burning the back of his throat greatly.
The only thing that was littered completely destroyed was a light purple colored crib. Throwing onto its side and the blankets torn and tangled in the bars, along with the mangled cotton of bloody stuffed animals. The chiming Donnie could hear was the Crib mobile he had himself to hang above the crib, the dinging bell that wasn't torn apart as it hung from a measly thread, blowing in the faint breeze.
He weakly crawled toward it, throwing aside any rubble that got into his way as he picked up the bell in his hands, looking at the glistening metal as water droples gleamed off of it, and feel into his hands.
He... He just stared at it. It was so small, so quiet, so calming... A tainted memory and familiarity with it.
His hold on the bell tightens as he hears a broken squeal not far from him. The sound of a young baby crying for aid, for someone to save it. For his father to save him.
It was only a matter of seconds until Donnie was back on his feet in a dead sprint. He ignored his begging gasp for air or the way his heartbeat pounded in his ears. The ears plotting cry of a baby is all his brain Lazer focused on, shoving pushing through trees and bushes.
The bloody trail of someone dragging their body across the ground to get away from the scene was like a path, leading Donnie to his prize - as much as a sick thought it was. He just felt his heart fall into the pit of his stomach as he still kept running... The trail is still continuing. How long was she in agony for - how long has she suffered in pain?
He nearly ripped the branches off the tree that blocked his vision but soon completely froze at the sight in front of him.
She laid on her stomach, the dragging position she still had yet to get out of, and seemed to be the pose she was stuck in. The crimson liquid pooled around her body, mixing into the much and dirt, staining her silk blue nightgown.
Her dark brown hair was tangled and sopping wet, covering her face and sprawling along the ground, tangled with twigs and rocks. She sheiled her body over something, the thing that was wailing.
It's like Donnie saw his entire world begin to fall apart, letting out a strangled gasp before he rushed toward the limp body.
"Tamsin!" He cried out, immediately slipping to his knees as his hands hovered over her body. He grabbed her head and back, slowly turning her around to lay in his arms. He revealed the wound that graced her body.
Straight through her chest was a broken arrow. Her body was littered in cuts and dark bruises. Her labored breathing was slow, too slow. Her skin was a sickly pale and blue color, her dull green eyes opening and closing as she went in and put on consciousness
"D... Donnie..?" She barely even spoke, merely mouthing the statement as her vision only caught blurs of green and purple as she was pulled away from the baby she was protecting.
She was in agony, it was hard to breathe, and when she did, it was short and quick breaths. Her condition was beyond repair, and yet she gave the best smile she could muster, causing Donnie to wipe away the blood from her lip.
"Hi, honey..." She responds weakly, but in such a sweet tone, like the one she'd use every time he walked into the door, taking in a shaky inhale. She looked to see the broken, thin peice of wood sticking out of her chest, a dry chuckle escaping her - God damn did it hurt.
"With my own weapon too, huh?" She joked. No one laughed. She was cut off as a warmth dripped onto her hair, causing her to look up.
Soon, a cascade of tears trickled down onto her face like rain - but Donnies head sheilded the cold weather, only to replace the downpour with his out tears. It was odd. His face didn't show sadness - still stuck in a permanent shock, but he was in hysterics, his body shaked as he fought back a sob.
"Oh, Donnie..." She reached her hand up to his face, using all the strength she had in her body to do so, only to have it fall limp back to her side. "It's gonna be okay..."
"How?" He responded bitterly. "How is this okay? What do I do?" He found the words left him naturally, finally realizing that once in his life... He really didn't know what to do. He didn't have an answer.
"Donnie." Tamsin cut him off, gripping his soaking wet shirt tightly. "Promise me something -"
"No, no... Tam, not now, please. I can't do it now..." Donnie cut her off fearfully, hand trying desperately to cup her cheek, but he could control the shaking, watching as it trembled along the side of her cold face.
"Donnie -" "Don't say it, don't you dare fucking say it." He gritted his teeth, jaw tensing as he just held her tighter, screwing his eyes shut. He refused to even look at her, while she was saying goodbyes... Her own husband didn't even wanna look into her eyes one final time.
"Please don't leave me..." He whispered, bowing his head into her shoulder, hiding away from the world. Her embrace was what made him feel safe. In the latest hours of the night, when her warm embrace welcoming hold kept him from the night terrors or the stress of earlier that day. Her warm arms wrapping around his body while she hummed mindlessly till sleep pulled him away from his darlings hold.
Now, all he felt was cold. He didn't feel his darlings arms around him anymore, and her humming was simple, rasped breathing. And he wasn't slipping into a dream. He was wide awake in his worst nightmare.
He felt that ache in his throat began to worsen. The band around his chest broke, and he let out a broken wail. His muffled scream into her neck while hot tears ran down her back. "I need you, I need you. I can't do it alone..." He repeated endlessly under his breath through sobs, slowly rocking her in his hold.
She shushes Donnie. No reassurance, no telling him it would be okay... Only shushing him, softly like she was calming a baby, crying and pleading for its mother. "Donnie... I can't tell you it will be okay. Not this time." She finally spoke. "But can you just promise me this one final thing... Please?"
He could barely hear her voice, pulling away to look at her. He inhaled sharply as he pulled away, another cry wracking through his body as he stared at her, watching the same pained expression fall onto her face.
"Tell the kids I love them... Make sure you remind them everyday... I love them, I love them so much." Her lip began to quiver, her eyes glossing over with fresh tears as she gripped his shirt tighter. "Protect them. Protect my babies, Donnie, please..."
The shock was setting in as Tamsins breathing quickened, gasping for air and her speaking became repeated and panicked. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry I can't be there for Galileo... I'm sorry I can't be a mom all over again for him... Im-" She is cut off as the soft cries of a baby called out again, directly to her side.
The arm she had yet to lift was covered by a mass of swaddled blankets with squirming inside.
Donnie quickly pulls the blankets onto Tamsins chest along with her arm, pressing them both to his chest. She weakly removes the blankets to reveal their youngest son, Galileo. He wasn't even three months old yet and here he was, in the cold wet rain... Losing a part of something that he'd never be able to experience beforehand could even remember her.
His crying didn't cease as Tamsins hand crazed the side of his small face, her thumb stroking his cheek as some sort of comfort. The first boy Donnie had ever had that was just like him- fully softshell and mutant was pulled close to be squished between his parents, and yet even then the poor child wasn't given any warmth to fall asleep into.
"Oh my sweet baby..." Tamsin choked, bitter tears dripped down her face. "I'm gonna miss you, so much... Grow up big and strong like your dad, okay?" She asked as if the boy could give an answer, only getting a squeal in return.
Donnie places his forehead against hers, feeling her instantly relax in his hold, she herself allowing a small cry to leave her. She lifted head a bit, placing her lips to kiss one of his closed eyes, the icy sensation making Donnie pull away to face her fully now.
"Starting our family in this world was the hardest thing I've ever been through... But I'd do it all over again, as long as it's with you... I can't wait to see you again... Wait for me?" She asked, opening her eyes one final time to look up at Donnie.
He swallowed the thick saliva stuck in the back of his throat, lips forming a pained pout. "If I this is my logical sign of a life after this... I'll wait a million more years to be back with you."
She smiled sweetly at him, slowly feeling as her body bean to numb. The last thing she felt was the small sensation of small little fingers wrapping around her own. "I never thought how... Happy I'd be... Dying in your arms."
She let out a long sigh, feeling no need to take another inhale. The world went peacefully quiet, her heartbeat softened till she herself couldn't hear it. The pain dulled into a sweet release. Her eyes grew heavy, like she was sleepy... She felt tired, finally able to get a good amount of sleep to catch up on in the past fifteen years. She wanted to laugh at her own joke... But she couldn't.
Her body went heavy in Donnies arms. He watched as her eyes slowly closed, one final, stray tear escaping before they were shut tight forever. Her breathing ended in a small noise of relief. Like the last thing on her mind to worry about was her husband. She knew he'd make it. Eventually.
Donnies eyes just stared unblinking at her body. Holding his son close to him as his burning eyes wished to release more of the tears he had yet to shed for the rest of his life from this point.
"... Tamsin?"

The power inside of you - ROTTMNT One-shot Leosagi
Small but important info first. This Jotaro belongs to @thewitchwannabe!! CW: Attempted kidnapping, minor injuries. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was supposed to be a calm night.
He was coming home after spending the day between helping with a few crimes and also working part-time at the Hidden City Hospital. He thought he would just eat dinner with his family while Jotaro talked about everything he did in school that day, discuss their plans for the weekend and maybe have his weekly gaming session online with his brothers as normal.
That was the plan, at least until his communicator started to blast an alarm that put him on edge immediately, holding up his wristband only to hear the worried voice of his twin.
“Leo! It’s the foot clan!” Donnie sounded like they were running. He could hear Raph’s voice in the background. “I thought that we got rid of the last group, but it turns out that they were preparing for a bigger job! There are a lot of them! I’m sending you the location now.”
He looked up only to see his husband already on the move, grabbing his sword. He got up, immediately getting his arm, connecting it to the port, and started putting his gear on.
“We’re on our way, Donnie. Do not engage until I get there, we need a plan” He waited until he received the affirmative from his twin before cutting the communication.
“Dad? What’s going on?”
Leo turned around to find his 10-year-old son looking between them with a worried look in his eyes.
“Your uncles are in a bit of trouble but don’t worry, we’ll be back soon.” Seeing the tense look in Jotaro’s eyes, he got down on one knee and put one hand on his son’s shoulder. “Hey, it’s gonna be ok, we’ll be back before you notice. We’ll drop you off at Miss Foster’s and then-“ Jotaro cut him off.
“No, Dad! I’m not a baby anymore! I can wait for you guys here. I know the rules!” He said determined.
Leo doubted, looking over at Usagi, who seemed to think about it for a second. They needed to go, and Jotaro had recently been determined to prove that he was not a little kid anymore. They didn’t have time to argue with the child. He just started his samurai and ninja training a couple of months ago, and their house was protected by a mystic spell, courtesy of Mikey.
That didn’t remove Leo’s uneasiness.
His husband crouched beside him and put a hand on top of Jotaro’s head.
“Alright, but you have your emergency button with you at all times, make sure that everything is closed-“ Usagi was now cut off.
“And not touch anything in the kitchen unless it’s the cereals if I’m hungry, and if I don’t feel safe, I’ll run to Miss Foster’s house.” The boy said with a smile, happy to get what he wanted.
Miss Foster was a fox yokai that lived down the mountain where they lived, having her little sisters living with her and they went to the same school as Jotaro. She had taken care of Jotaro multiple times in the past when both Leo and Usagi were out on missions.
With a sigh, Leo left a kiss on his son’s forehead and stood up.
“Alright, but be careful, and no staying awake until too late,” He said, swinging his sword down and a blue portal appearing in front of him.
“Got it! You guys go kick bad guy butt!” Jotaro said as Usagi put him down after a hug. His ears stood up and his little tail moved from the excitement of seeing his parents looking so cool.
After one determined look from his husband, they crossed the portal to the location Donnie had given, which ended up being the roof of a warehouse close to the docks.
“Good for you to join us, brother. Hi, Usagi.” Said Donnie while being in a crouched position, eyes locked on his wristband.
“Usagi!” Mikey immediately went for a hug from Usagi, who happily returned the hug. He was only looking at his big brother when he let out a dramatic gasp “Oh, Hi Leo”
The slider just let out a chuckle, patting his little brother on the head and giving a fist bump to his siblings, before officially shifting to leader mode.
“Don, what do we got?” From their position, they could see many people moving boxes from one of the warehouses to trucks, nothing indicating actually being the foot clan.
“After the small groups of the clan were slowly dissolved by Casey and Junior, we found nothing of them for a good year and a half. April got a tip from very suspicious activity running around, and after some other stuff, we found that they have been building the whole clan in secret and now they’re transporting mystic artifacts” They took their goggles off and gave them to Leo so he could take a look.
He now could see all the mystic energy coming from the boxes and all the foot clan logos on people's shirts and even the boxes, but it seemed to be hidden from the normal eye.
“It seems that they actually learned stealth now, but I could give a deeper scan to some of the boxes and… they’re all teleportation or portal type of artifact, all related to moving through time and space” The tone of voice of the softshell was enough for Leo to know what they were thinking.
“Leo, you think that maybe…” His older brother inquired, standing next to him. An uneasy but determined expression on his face.
“I think so, but the question is: is it possible?” He took off the goggles and passed them back to his twin, now turning to look at Mikey.
Mikey, after almost two decades of actively practicing and studying mysticism under Draxum’s watch, was the one with the most knowledge on the subject.
“It shouldn’t, I haven’t heard about any artifact that is capable of that. But if they’re collecting so many… I could think that maybe they’re collecting energy for something else. Either way, I really don’t like it”
Leo agreed with the youngest. Anything that could even come close to thinking about them coming back needed to be shut down immediately.
The number of people he could see was high, but it wasn’t something they haven’t dealt with before. For this kind of thing, he didn’t mind blowing up some stuff. After having the plan on his mind, he turned back to his family.
“Don, Mikey, plant some mystic bombs on those trucks, we’re not leaving anything that they could use. Raph, go cover them and deal with the humans closer to the trucks. Usagi and I will go to the warehouse and buy you guys time so you can plant the bombs. Give the signal when you’re done and we get out of there.”
Everyone gave a firm nod and they went into position.
Leo and Usagi went to the back of the warehouse and could see from behind some containers how the Foot commander was giving orders around, but they couldn’t see Brute anywhere.
Something wasn’t right, he could feel it in his gut, but they needed to find out what the hell was going on.
They both entered the scene, one of Leo’s swords casually against his shoulder and Usagi still tense, but with a sly smile on his face. Still looking down from one of the containers.
“Wow, you guys went back to the shoe-selling business?” He said, now having all eyes on them.
Commander let out a frustrated groan.
“Well but if it isn’t the biggest pain in my butt” We walked to the front and gave them an unimpressed look. “It’s been a while, that’s for sure”
“I think we haven’t seen you since Warren and Hypno’s wedding?” Wondered his husband.
“Oh yeah, I thought you guys were going to sell cupcakes and brownies with Cass, you know? Finally stopping villainy and letting us live in peace?” His stance was casual, but he was completely aware of his sibling’s mystic energy outside the warehouse.
“We would love to, but we do have… unattended matters” His face immediately changed to something sinister. Before Leo even could say anything, he was suddenly trapped in a mystic bubble and fell to the ground, his husband in the same situation beside him.
He immediately got up, got his swords out, and noticed how he couldn’t open any portals.
Pink portals opened on top of them and his siblings were dropped from them, all in the same situation and groaning from the fall but recovering quickly.
The slider was getting angry, and the feeling of uneasiness in his gut got worse by the second. He looked at Mikey, who gave him a tense but secure look on his face and subtly reached for the pouch under his cloak.
His little brother had a plan and he was going to give him the time to pull it off. He looked at the others, who could only guess right now that he had something in mind. Given that the mind meld didn’t seem to work either.
“You do realize that we’re not gonna let you bring them back right?” He said confidently. “I didn’t even think that you guys were dumb enough to try but I guess here we are.”
The smile on the Foot commander didn’t falter, throwing Leo off when he started laughing.
“Oh, that’s what you guys think we’re doing? No, no, no. But I knew you guys would be concerned if you saw we were opening a portal. The perfect excuse to bring you here and test some new mystic gadgets!”
“Then what’s the point? You just want to kill us?” Raph asked
“Oh well, I know that I won’t be able to hold you guys for long, You all have grown so much! Now with new lives, and even getting married!” He pointed at him and Usagi.
The villain's monologue was buying them time, but there was something in his tone that was making his anxiety spike.
“You’re way too strong, right? So we needed a weak point! Something to finally help make amends for almost twenty years of ruining everything.” He stopped on his track and looked him straight in the eyes. “By the way Leonardo, how’s your son?”
He felt as if his heart stopped. He knew it, he knew something was wrong. Jotaro was alone in their house.
“Get the fuck away from him!” His husband’s yell snapped him out of his surprise, deep anger finally setting in.
He could hear Raph pounding on the glass of the bubble and feel a strong aura of anger coming from his twin.
“I swear to god, if you even get near him-” He cut himself off when the sound of the emergency button of his belt blasted an alarm, making his stomach drop in fear when he saw the light blue on it.
Usagi looked at him with pure panic in his eyes.
Jotaro pressed his emergency button.
——————————-
Jotaro, being a rabbit, had really good hearing.
When he started training with his parents, getting both samurai and ninjutsu training, it was one of the first things that they remarked. Saying that it was a tool of great advantage if he knew how to use it right.
He remembers the game they used as an example. They were in the middle of the woods on a Saturday evening, his Papa sitting crossed-legged in front of him, eyes closed in concentration while his Dad was nowhere to be seen, hiding in the shadows.
It was extremely interesting seeing how his father’s ears twitched with every slight movement, standing prideful and attentive to any sound.
Without warning, the older rabbit threw a Kunai to the top of one of the trees, being quickly met with a yelp and his Dad fell from the tree without a sound.
“Found you” It was fun to see the smug smile on his father’s face, but even more hilarious was the pout on Leo’s face as he walked with the Kunai in hand.
“I know somehow you’re cheating” The turtle squinted his eyes in playful suspicion, making him giggle while his father rolled his eyes.
“Keep telling yourself that,” He said to his husband before turning back to the child, “Ready to give it a shot?”
Jotaro nodded excitedly, before crossing his legs and copying the position Usagi had before.
“Good luck Jojo,” Said the ninja with a playful smile, and with the blink of an eye, was gone again.
“Now, close your eyes and focus on the sounds, be detailed and attentive, and look for what stands out. ”Usagi explained in a whisper. “Point at him when you find him”
He nodded and closed his eyes, letting his ears stand straight, attentive to everything.
He could hear the trees, the leaves that moved with the slight wind. The smallest animals moved through the forest.
Thud
Thud
He opened his eyes, surprised by the sudden small sound. His father had a smile on his face that told him to continue.
Closing his eyes again, he looked for the sound again until he found it.
Thud
Thud
It wasn’t consistent, so it was definitely his Dad going from one tree to another, he had to pay a lot of attention just to hear that small sound. His turtle dad was huge and heavy, how did he manage that?
He followed it, finding the path that the turtle was following, and at the same time as the sound, he pointed to behind the tree on his right.
“There!”
“Great job bud!” Leo congratulated, coming from behind the tree he pointed at.
“That was great Jotaro!” Usagi praised him while hugging him tight.
He beamed at the congratulations and wanted to try again.
After that, he was much more aware of the sounds in his surroundings, especially the steps.
His dad’s were quiet, even when he wasn’t trying to be. His uncle’s almost all the same. Except for Uncle Raphie, whose steps could be a little heavier. But if he was trying, it was the same as his brothers.
His papa’s were a little louder, steps were firmer but he was still very light on his feet.
So when he heard the heavy steps around the house while he was getting ready for bed, he immediately knew it wasn’t his parents.
Alarms blasted in his mind, a feeling in the pit of his stomach telling him to hide.
Not knowing what else to do, he took his plushie and his button and immediately hid in the closet, burying himself under a pile of clothes.
His mind was racing between all the people he knew, thinking who may be, he could hear them coming down the hall, but he didn’t recognize the steps.
“Where the hell is that kid?” He heard it was a man, voice deep, and he was looking for him.
Without a doubt, he pressed the button, which thankfully didn’t make any sounds, but it did have a blinking blue light.
It was a matter of time. He knew that now he only had to stay hidden until his dads got here. They will get here as soon as they can, Jotaro just had to wait.
He concentrated on keeping an ear out for whoever was outside. He was checking down the hall, opening the doors to the rooms. The closer he got, the harder it was for Jotaro to focus with the loud thumping of his heart against his chest. He tried his best to focus, any information he could get about the enemy was an advantage to him.
Taking a deep breath, he tried to listen again, still clutching the button close to his chest. His parents will come for him. His parents are gonna save him. He just had to hang on.
His stomach dropped when he heard the door of his room open.
By pure instinct, his ears dropped and he curled into himself in the pile of clothes that thankfully covered him completely, trying his damn best to not move a muscle.
The steps were still heavy, but the man didn’t talk.
The door of his closet was closed, but he couldn’t even dare to open his eyes. He was shaking and crying. Not wanting to give away his hiding spot. He just had to hold on.
“Here you are”
He only felt one big hand grabbing him by the arm and yanking him out of his hiding spot.
-----------------------------------
“No!” Usagi banged his hand on the bubble. Angry tears formed in his eyes. “Stay away from him!”
Lieutenant only laughed in their faces.
“You’re dead.” Leo’s voice was cold with that promise. “You won’t get away with this”
Before the Lieutenant could even start his sentence, Leo felt the rumble of his little brother's ninpo. The chains, usually reserved for extreme circumstances, as it drains his little brother’s vital energy if he passes his limit. It wraps around each of the bubbles, bursting them in a matter of seconds. Foot Lieutenant already making an escape portal.
Leo was gonna throw himself against Lieutenant. They couldn’t let him go. He was immediately stopped by a chain wrapped around his wrist. Ready to snap at his brother to let him go.
“Leo! We don’t have time!” Mikey’s worried look was enough to dissipate the anger into pure fear. Jotaro.
Looking around, his family was also stopped by Mikey’s chains and the Lieutenant was crossing his escape portal.
With one more furious look, he swung his sword, making a big portal that immediately swallowed all of them, dropping them in front of his house.
“DADDY! PAPA!”
The image in front of him made him freeze.
The brute was creating an escape portal while holding his son by the ears. His eyes filled with fear and crying as he reached an arm towards them.
“JOTARO!” He screamed out of instinct, already running towards them with his husband by his side.
The escape portal was done and Brute was one foot in it, they wouldn’t make it in time.
No, no, no, no, no, NO, NO-
Just when he thought that he would get his son taken from them. Something exploded.
A strong light blinded them, a force strong enough to stop them. Just managing to hear a painful scream from Brute.
Looking up from where they were, Leo managed to see Jotaro’s spots around his eyes glow. It was a strong blue that reminded him of his own. Being able to feel that same sensation that he had for all his brother’s and sister’s ninpo, the difference being that it was a very, very strong energy coming from his own son. It was Jotaro’s ninpo.
The energy seemed to manifest as electricity. As it was enough to burn Brute’s hand to the point that it forced him to let go of Jotaro.
As soon as he saw the opportunity, he ran. Mikey’s chains immediately grabbed Brute and threw him a good 10 meters away from them as the escape portal closed.
“We got him, Leo!” Raph yelled as he ran with Mikey towards Brute. Letting him focus on Jotaro.
Usagi immediately extended his arms to grab him. But the same electricity as before was still coming out of the child, not letting him even touch Jotaro without electrocuting himself.
“...Ugh… d-dad- AH!” Jotaro cried, and Leo could easily see the small electrical burns starting to form around his little arms and legs.
“Jotaro! Donnie what’s going on?!” He immediately asked his twin as he was looking at Jotaro, goggles down.
“I-It’s his mystic energy! It’s responding to the high stress and panic and is going off the charts!” He quickly explained.
It was like Mikey’s. By now they all knew that mystic energy, especially their ninpo’s, responded to their emotions. Jotaro needed to calm down.
“Jojo, baby, look at me.” Usagi reached the same conclusion as he did, slowly sitting in front of Jotaro and trying to remain as calm as he could. If Jotaro saw them panic, he would panic even more.
Jotaro lifted his head, obviously hurting from the mystic powers and still scared out of his mind.
“I need you to breathe with me, alright? You’re safe love, we got you.” The voice of his husband was calm, even if his eyes teared up from seeing their son like that.
He followed Usagi’s lead and sat down beside him, giving Jojo a small smile, also feeling the small knot form in his throat at the heartbreaking sight.
“You did good buddy, you did amazing today. It will go away, I promise but I need you to breathe.” Both he and Usagi started to guide Jotaro. Who even in his panic, slowly started to follow them.
As Jotaro worked on slowing his breath, the glow on his spots started to fade.
Already desperate, he took off his arm, which had the chance of short-circuiting and he offered his hand to Jotaro.
His own ninpo had a small touch of electricity that he always felt, especially when he teleported from one sword to another. Donnie had confirmed it years back as they always heard a buzz when he teleported near them and got curious. So he knew his body had certain resistance to it.
He also couldn’t stand seeing his son suffer for another second and not being able to comfort him.
Jotaro slowly reached towards Leo, but flinched back seeing as the electricity that came from himself could hurt his dad.
“Hey, hey, it’s okay Jojo. You’re not gonna hurt me, nene, I promise.” He said quietly, not looking to make the child go into a panic again.
Looking more sure at Leo’s words, he took his hand. Getting close and immediately wrapped his arms around him.
It was much stronger than his own ninpo for sure. But he could handle it. He would handle anything for him. Not hesitating a second before wrapping his own arm around the child.
“You’re okay, You’re okay.” He immediately started to whisper, rocking calmly back and forth.
The electricity faded with every deep breath Jotaro took, feeling safer in his dad’s arms. It was probably still more than Usagi could handle, but he didn’t seem to care as he leaned his head on Leo’s shoulder and started to slowly run his hand through the child’s head. Quietly singing the Japanese lullaby that he sang to Jotaro since he was a baby.
This seemed to do the trick, as the glow faded from Jojo’s face and he fell asleep in his dad’s arms. His ninpo finally calmed down.
Both he and Usagi sighed in relief and stood up. From what he could see, Jotaro had small 1st-degree electrical burns on his arms and legs, the worst looking ones being around his forearms and hands. But none of them were reaching 2nd degree, which was good.
Usagi definitely had a couple on his hand. But they were okay. Wounds could be treated when they were safe. The most important thing was that Jotaro was with them.
He looked Usagi in the eyes, immediately noticing the silent request on them, and carefully passed him their still-sleeping child. Who he hugged close.
He turned to his brothers who were waiting a couple of feet from them.
But Brute wasn’t there.
“Where is he?” His voice was tense.
“Mikey had him, but the mystic bubble appeared around him and before he could pop it, Brute was gone.” Raph quickly explained, his voice letting out the same frustration he felt.
“I’ll talk to Draxum first thing in the morning tomorrow about those bubbles. I had to use the stored energy that I had on some crystals, but I basically emptied them out just to pop my own bubble.” Mikey said, equally as frustrated “I never saw this before, but we’ll take care of it.”
He forced himself to take a deep breath, they’ll take care of the foot later.
“Is Jojo okay?” Mikey asked, his eyes concerned as he watched the Jotaro sleep on Usagi’s arms.
“It was his own ninpo, it must have activated because of the high stress of the situation. It’s very, very powerful” Donnie said, laying the facts in front of them.
Whoever didn’t know him would say he sounded emotionless. But he knew better. Donnie was just as concerned as the rest of them and was probably already thinking of a way to help Jotaro control his powers.
“He’s okay, it looks like his body has a good natural resistance to it, but he still has some first-degree burns that I need to take a look at.” He said, before sighing again. “I think we’ll move to the lair for the time being.”
“Not you assuming that I will let you back before improving your security system,” Donnie said, making him let out a small chuckle as he opened a portal to the lair.
They let Usagi cross first with Jotaro and they followed behind. Making a beeline for the med bay as Donnie, Mikey, and Raph went to talk to Dad.
Jotaro was absolutely exhausted, managing to sleep through all the procedures of Leo taking care of his injuries. Probably helped that he was still in Usagi’s arms, the sweet lullaby being the only thing filling the silence of the med bay.
It wasn’t until they were both laying down on the bed of Leo’s old room, which had been modified years ago to fit the three of them. Jotaro now sleeping soundly between the two of them, Usagi looked at him with a look that promised revenge.
“They’re going to pay for this.” He whispered to him, as he nodded.
“We’ll find them ‘Sagi, I promise.” We cupped Usagi’s cheek, who sighed and finally seemed to relax, as he hugged Jotaro to his chest and snuggled closer to him.
It wasn’t long until he noticed that his husband fell asleep. As he stared at the wall with one thought in his mind.
He was never going to allow something like this to happen to his family again.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EXTRA SCENE
After Usagi fell asleep, their son in his arms, he quietly got up and went to his twin’s lab, knowing for sure that he was awake.
The events of the night before came back to him, anger and frustration rising in his chest. His son was almost kidnapped in front of his eyes. If it wasn’t for Jotaro’s ninpo, he didn’t know if he was going to make it in time. He never wanted to see that look of pure pain and fear that he saw in his husband’s eyes while he held their son, who was hurt by his own ninpo.
The image of Brute holding his son by his ears was clear in his mind when he made it to the door of the lab.
The doors opened for him, and his twin sitting in his chair turned back to him.
He quietly walked until he was standing beside Donnie.
“You’re looking for them?” Leo asked, his voice serious and tense.
“Right now brother, you’ll be the first to know when I find them” His twin's tone matched his own. “This is not happening again. I’m also working on a better security system for your house.”
“Thanks, Don, let me know when you have any leads.” He stayed silent for a second “We’re finishing this, we should’ve done this the moment the invasion ended”
“Doesn’t matter, we’re finishing it now. I have weapons with their names written on them.” Donnie’s voice was angry and cold.
Donnie remembers the panic and pure anger he felt when Foot Lieutenant asked his brother about Jotaro. His nephew. His family.
Those fuckers won’t see another day if he has a say in it.
“Good,” Leo said coldly.
Donnie couldn’t imagine how his brother felt after this. But what he was sure of is that, as usual, Leo and he were on the same page.
Mikey had gone to the kitchen for a midnight snack, not being able to sleep.
He noticed Leo go into Donnie’s lab.
Just hearing a bit of their conversation was enough to know what the twins were planning.
Mikey turned his back and went back to bed. He hoped the twins had fun.

—————————————————————————
“Leo before you do possibly drink poison, let me run it past my far superior senses,” Donnie said grabbing the glass that contained the pink, bubbly substance. Leo rolled his eyes, “I know for a fact without you looking and sniffing at it that it’s not poison,” Leo claimed.
“And what brings you to that conclusion?” Donnie asked as he brought down his goggles to run a scan, seeing that it had a bunch of mystic ingredients that Donnie was unfamiliar with. “It’s pink and we’re at Hueso’s restaurant! Ya think he just lets people serve poison as a beverage?” Leo said as if it was obvious.
Donnie used his free hand to push back his goggles so they rested on top of his head. He brought the drink closer to his face, intending to smell it to see if it had any poisonous aromas. Donnie didn’t notice the smirk that spread on Leo’s face but you did. You narrowed your eyes wondering what the blue twin was about to pull.
Everyone had thought it was high time for you to try some of the best mystic pizza around. So they had dragged you to their spot at Hueso’s. Raph sat on the end of the booth then Mikey and you. Across from you sat Donnie and Leo to his left.
When the glass was close enough, Leo reached out quickly tipping the glass and the drink spilt all over his brother. It went down Donnie’s nose and some of it into his mouth as he sputtered and choked. “What the fuck Leo?!” Donnie managed to gasp out. You shot Leo a glare as you reached across the table with a napkin to help Donnie. Leo and Mikey were snickering as Raph shook his head, covering his mouth to hide a smile. “Told ya it wasn’t poison!” Leo said triumphantly.
Donnie’s eyes were squeezed shut, still trying to regain composure, more than slightly embarrassed. “Thanks Y/n” Donnie mumbled, blinking a couple of times as he reached for the napkin you had been trying to hand him. When your fingers brushed his it was like electricity passed between the two of you!
Both of you recoiled in surprise and Donnie looked at you finally, “Are-“ he had been going to ask if you were okay. But as soon as his eyes focused in on your figure it was like something happened. You looked so luminescent, he had always secretly admired you but what he was seeing now was otherworldly. “Donnie?” You questioned, looking at how his expression had changed from concern to something like adoration. Your voice gave him chills, he closed his eyes at the sound. Everything about you was just perfect. “Oh my Galileo~!” Donnie breathed out in wonder.
Everyone at the table was looking at Donnie with worry. “Uh Donnie” Leo said tapping on his brother’s shoulder, wondering whether the drink really had been poison?! “HAS ANYONE SEEN A PINK DRINK???” Hueso shouted as he came out of the kitchen. The whole restaurant quieted as Raph groaned. “Yeah over here!” Mikey said waving his hand high for Hueso to come over. The bone man came running, grimacing as he noticed it was the turtles. He just knew this wouldn’t be good. “Dónde está?” he asked looking all over the table and noticing that only one glass happened to be empty. Leo was sweating bullets, “Señor Hueso, please tell me that drink wasn’t poisonous!”
“Eh? No no it wasn’t poison but it was a potion!” He reassured the blue turtle. Leo let out a sigh of relief but Raph glared at his brother shaking his head, “What kind of potion???” Raph said hesitantly. “A love potion,” and everyone’s gaze went back to Donnie. He had been ignoring anything and everything that wasn’t you. He had this dreamy sort of look about him as he stared at you. “It’ll wear off,” Hueso mumbled, upset that the drink had been wasted. He left the table going back to the kitchen. “Well at least it’s not poison right!” Leo chirped like the whole thing wasn’t his fault.
You didn’t really know what to do. No one did. Hueso said it would wear off so the answer was to just wait. The pizza came and the whole thing was kind of brushed to the side. Donnie was usually quiet so it wasn’t a big deal. But no one else knew how his feet had inched closer and closer to yours until they were resting side by side. Your eyes had widened in surprise at the feeling, and even more when you looked up from your plate to see him not flustered but smirking. His smug expression stayed there as he leaned his shell back into the booth and his foot went up to your calf, going up and down gently.
Your face heated up immediately and before you could stop yourself you kicked him. He winced under his breath, causing Leo to give his brother a side glance before he went back to eating and talking to Mikey about new skateboard tricks. “Get it together Don,” you whispered as you took another bite of pizza. “Get what together?” He asked leaning forward on his elbows, ignoring the food. “I mean, I know you might not realize but this love potion has definitely messed with your mind!” you kept your voice quiet as you explained.
“I don’t know, I think that drink just opened my eyes to how absolutely adorable you are~” Donnie said following your lead and keeping his voice on the quiet side. You blushed at that shaking your head, “Donnie you’d never say anything like that in a million years! Much less voluntarily touch me!” you tried to reason with him. “But I like how you feel,” he said reaching out with his hand to grab yours. Now that had everyone else’s attention. His three brother’s raising their eyebrows in surprise. “Guess it really does work!” Mikey said in amazement. Raph frowned, “Y/n just let me know if this is making you uncomfortable.”
Your gaze tore from where Donnie’s hand had held yours. “Hmm? Oh yeah I will don’t worry, I doubt it’ll get worse than this though,” you joked. Leo laughed and Raph nodded, they all knew Donnie wasn’t touchy. But that had Donnie narrowing his eyes, at your comment and how Raph made it sound like he had done something so horrible. He squeezed your hand, wanting your attention back on him instead of his brothers. You obliged without realizing his intentions, just noticing how his grip had tightened. You rubbed your thumb on Donnie’s skin and his breathing stopped. Sensations like this were heightened to him when it came to you (and because of the potion).
He had to hold his breath until you stopped seconds later, not wanting to make a scene aka turn into a churring mess in front of his brothers. Donnie held your hand the whole way back to the lair. And when you were standing around in the living area with Donnie glued to your side, feeling awkward about what to do now, he just pulled you with him to his lab. “Guess I’ll see you guys later!” You hollered over your shoulder to the rest of the brothers. “Donnie’s totally gonna flip when that thing wears off” Leo said to no one in particular.
“Soo what do you wanna do?” You asked once in the lab. You’d been in here multiple times before. Usually whenever you were bored you would come and listen to Donnie talk about his latest and greatest inventions or builds. He’d go on long tangents and you would smile listening and looking intently at whatever blueprints or finished products he would show you. “Hmmm let’s dance!” Donnie said enthusiastically, as he typed something into his wrist tech and music surrounded them.
“Dance?!” You said incredulously. You were surprised as he pulled you closer. He nodded, “I love dancing,” he smiled down at you, starting to move to the music and you followed his lead despite your reservations. “Really? How come I’ve never seen you dance?” You asked curiously. He shrugged, not explaining any further as the two of you twirled around the lab. He was a great lead, and you could tell he was enjoying this. His hands moved from yours down to your hips as a slower song came on next. “I’ve always wanted to do this,” he whispered into your ear as he leaned his head closer to yours.
You smiled, “we’ll have to dance again then once the potion wears off!” You wondered if Donnie would remember any of this, if he would want to dance once the potion faded. You had a crush on the purple clad turtle since who knew when! It had crept up on you one day and ever since you couldn’t help but stare whenever he would enter the room. But you hadn’t felt confident enough to confess, plus you were a really clingy type of lover. If you did start actually flirting you probably wouldn’t be able to keep your hands off of him, which obviously was a no go. So you kept your feelings to yourself waiting for them to just silently fade. And yet here you were in Donnie’s arms.
You just knew you’d be thinking of these moments long after the potion wore off. It hurt your heart to think that way but you needed to come to the realization that maybe you and Donnie weren’t meant to be. You weren’t a selfish person, you wouldn’t force him to be someone he wasn’t, do something he wouldn’t want to do like hug or hold hands. So this love potion thing was like a living fantasy something that had happened only in your dreams.
“You promise?” Donnie’s voice brought you out of your thoughts. “Hm?” You questioned. “Do you promise that we’ll dance again?” The look on his face was so loving, “of course!” you promised, even if he didn’t remember, you’d say anything to make him happy in this moment. “I know you hate being touched..” as if to prove you wrong he nuzzled his face into your neck. You giggled, “but this has been really nice,” you sighed and you swore you felt his lips kiss at your neck.
[One week later]
Donnie woke up with a start. He sat up in bed heaving, looking around as if he had just ran a marathon instead of just waking up from a dream. A pretty damn life-like dream. It involved you, every second had been with you, dancing in his lab, following you around, napping together, limbs twisted over and under each other, holding your hand, tears in your eyes as you hugged him tightly, whispering something to him. He strained to remember what you had said. “Ugh!” Donnie laid back in bed.
He was up after a few seconds, it had just been a dream.. right? He walked out of his room heading to the kitchen, stretching as he made his way there. “Oho! Look who it is~~” Leo called out as Donnie passed his twins room. “Sooo how ya feeling??” Leo said catching up to Donnie and walking alongside him leisurely. “Tired.” The purple turtle said giving his brother a side glance. “Remember anything ya did last week?” Leo said smugly getting right to the thick of things.
Donnie scrunched up his face thinking… but all he could remember was bits and pieces of the dream. The dream! He looked at his brother in shock, “what happened??” Donnie asked not even understanding why everything was so fuzzy to begin with. “Leo dumped a love potion on you and you and Y/n were inseparable for a week until last night!” Mikey said in passing like it was old news.
“YOU DID WHAT?” Donnie yelled into Leo’s face who blinked and gave a sheepish smile, “right I forgot how that had all started, heh!” His brother turned back to escape into his room. “We’re not done here Leonardo, I was under a love potion for a week?!” Donnie followed after his blue brother not letting him get away that easily. “Yeah yeah, shouldn’t you be heading to Y/n’s and talking about how you couldn’t keep your hands off of them??” It was a distraction tactic but it worked. Every single moment of contact rushed into Donnie’s mind, replaying. It hadn’t been a dream, he had held you in his hands, put his on your hips and twirled you around, hugged you, kissed you!
He whipped out his phone. Turning away from Leo who readily used that moment to escape from Donnie’s wrath. Text or call, Donnie questioned. No none of that, he had to see you, now. The tears, what had you been trying to tell him?? None of it made any sense and he had a sinking feeling he was forgetting something important. But he was blinded by all of his unusual behavior, mostly the fact that he had felt comfortable enough to be glued to your side for a week straight. He knew he had a crush on you but did his feelings run that deep? He needed to see you!
Three knocks could be heard from your bedroom window and you rolled out of bed. Wondering which of the turtles it could be cause none of your human friends used anything but the front door. “Donnie?” you gasped as you pulled back your curtains. You opened up your window and Donnie hastily climbed inside your room. “Apologies for the intrusion I just-“ he fumbled with the right words, “this past week” and you looked at him hopeful, but as he looked at you helplessly, not knowing what to say, you nodded. “It’s okay, I know you were just under the influence of the potion..” you said but you had been telling yourself that for a week now and you still couldn’t seem to make your heart agree with your mind. You turned away from him, “no y/n,” he reached for you like it was second nature. When his hand met your arm he stilled.
“Please, just explain what happened, my mind is so foggy,” he said as he let his hand fall away from your arm as you turned to face him. You could tell he was confused with his body as he stared down at his hand in shock. But as you explained from the very beginning he looked up and listened to every word. You were blushing and he was blushing it was a whole blush fest when you recounted the way he flirted. “I can’t believe I did that!” Donnie would say, hands coming up to his face to cover it embarrassed by his love-potion self’s actions. “Well..” you had started to say but you swallowed, realizing if you said what you had been thinking Donnie would definitely know your secret. Your undeniable crush on him.
When you didn’t continue Donnie moved his hands away from his face, “Yes?” He asked wanting you to continue and you shook your head nervously. “Oh c’mon Y/n, now I’m curious!” He called after you as you went back to your bed. “Trust me you’ll only be burdened once you do know,” you said with contempt for yourself. Donnie sat next to you, again shocking himself as he reached for your hand. But this time he didn’t pull away, “I doubt that” he said smiling softly at you. “…I enjoyed it.. all of last week” you breathed out hastily, squeezing his hand. Donnie’s eyes widened, “r-really??” and you nodded.
“I’ve had the biggest crush on you for some time now Don,” you admitted, if you were gonna confess you might as well lay it all out on the table so he could reject you properly. Donnie’s heart stuttered, then kicked into high gear. “That makes two of us,” he whispered. Your mouth dropped open and then you hastily closed it, “are you sure? don’t you think it’s the side effect of the potion somehow?” you sighed thinking the worst before letting your hopes get too high. “I’m one hundred percent positive, because I liked you before the potion Y/n,”
You jumped up to your feet suddenly. Running over to your record player. “What’re you doing?” Donnie laughed, watching you flit around the room as you dimmed the lights. “Setting the mood!” You turned and winked at him seductively and his mind went blank. It must’ve shown on his face because you giggled and came back to him, reaching for his hands hesitantly, “I made a promise, would you like to dance?”
Donnie met your hands, your fingers intertwining with his. He rose to his feet, the music started playing and the volume climbed until it was all he could hear. It was like a movie, he was in a romcom, and he was enjoying it. He smiled, “I love dancing” he said as the two of swayed to the beat. You smiled up at him, a twinkle in your eyes as if you knew something he didn’t, “we’ll just have to do this again sometime then!”
It was like he was experiencing deja vu and he connected the dots. Finally it was like his mind cleared and he could remember everything clearly without having to be told. He knew what to say next as he smirked, “you promise?” and you laughed seeing the recognition in Donnie’s face. “Of course! I can’t imagine dancing with anyone else,” and the two of you moved closer together, enjoying the moment, feeling more than giddy. “I like you,” Donnie said kissing your temple, you flushed, tilting your head upwards, “I like you too so so much!” You gushed and surged forward capturing his lips. His hands moved up to your face, cradling it carefully, he was so gentle, so loving. It was everything you had dreamed of and more~~~

Rise baby! How you doin beautiful person?? Hope good and happy!
Could you (if you want of course) write about the Rise boys reacting to reader (female or neutral,your choise) who show up in the lair with their marks in her body? Like,she painted to look like the Leo red strips and the yellow ones or donnie squares. In Rapha's case probably would be some little spikes draw or sum.
This sounds like so much fun!! I’ll try my best :)
Rise!Bros X Reader Headcannons
Prompt: You draw their markings on yourself to see how they’d react.
Pronouns: Feminine but not mentioned
Relationships: Ambiguous
Requests are open!
================================
Leo
• He had been training when you entered the lair with his iconic red stripes drawn on your face and a sweater with his yellow markings to compliment.
• At first, he couldn’t find the words to express his flattery. He babbled a few “how”s and “why”s before chuckling awkwardly.
• “Do you like them?” You teased him.
• “‘Do I like them?’” The turtle wrapped his arms around you and lifted you off your feet, spinning you around. “I love them! I mean, if this is what I look like, I look amazing.”
• You two took several pictures together and he wouldn’t stop boasting to his brothers about how good you both looked.
• “Looks like you aren’t my only twin, Dee.” Leo offers his brother a sly smile.
• Donnie grimaced. “That would make us triplets, Leo.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Raph
• Raph had been helping you bandage yourself up after a mission when you’d gotten the idea to wrap a spare red cloth about your elbows like he did while the turtle was getting more alcohol wipes.
• When he saw you, he was instantly flattered.
• “Aw, look at you. It’s like a mini-me.” He snicked.
• You flexed the way he often would. “Smashin’ like a boss!” You imitated his boisterous tone.
• He laughed again as he ruffled your hair and returned to tending to your wounds.
• Raph had expected you to take the bandannas off once he’d fixed you up, but you kept them on for the rest of the day.
• Every time you walked into the same room he was in, he would chuckle and you’d flex at him over and over until the red clad turtle begged you to stop in fear that he’d die from flattery and embarrassment.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Donnie
• It was hard to catch the purple clad turtle away from his lab. And since no one was allowed in Donnie’s lab when he was working, you often didn’t see him.
• Eventually, you caught him in the kitchen making a cup of coffee. You quickly took action and drew his iconic symmetrical markings on your shoulders and thighs.
• When he saw you, he choked on his coffee, sputtering for a couple seconds.
• “Why… did you do that?” He raised an eyebrow after gathering himself.
• You shrugged. “I think they look nice.”
• Donnie’s face remained stoic, but he couldn’t hide the blush showing from underneath his mask.
• “Touching. But there can only be one Donatello.” He urged you to follow him. “Come, come. I’ll help you wash it off.”
• In the lab, Donnie pretends to forget about the markings, quickly busing himself with one of his inventions.
• You’d catch him periodically looking over his shoulder or gazing above his goggles at you.
• He helped you clean the markings off a few hours later.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mikey
• Mikey had been skateboarding in the lair when you suddenly appeared before him with his orange spots drawn on your shoulders and upper thighs.
• Although he crashed soon after seeing you, he was thrilled.
• “No way! You look amazing!” He exclaimed. “I-I mean, I look the same—er, we both look amazing!”
• The two of you took so many pictures together that you ran out of storage on your phone.
Keep Going
Pairing: Leo x GN!Reader
Slight Hurt/Comfort, but mostly some emotional fluff!
Summary: After an especially trying mission, you try to comfort Leo in an unexpected way: singing.
Warnings: Self-deprecating comments
Word Count: 2.9k
A/N: Hi again! Thank you all so much for all the love on my first fic! I truly didn’t think it would receive any traction, but you guys blew me away! I’ve actually been working on this fic for quite some time now. I just couldn’t seem to get the emotions the way I want them. I’m pretty sure I’ve rewritten different parts of it at least a dozen times now, but I think it’s time to just let it go. This is a topic that’s quite special and personal to me, and I can only hope it resonates with someone else.
------------------------------------------------
For a bunch of ninjas, your turtle friends sure were loud.
You could hear the boys’ playful banter and recounting of the night’s events echo through the sewer tunnels from your place on the Lair’s main couch. At this point, you were pretty used to waiting for your friends as they headed into the night on a mission or just patrol. Sure, some nights you would join them, putting your kickboxing and archery skills to good use. But for the most part, you decided to leave the crime fighting to the turtles in favor of some peace and quiet back at the Lair. Tonight was one of those nights.
As you heard the laughter and footsteps thump closer, you sat up on the couch and simply listened. The first few times the boys had gone out and left you behind, you could not calm the anxiety racing through your body. What if their communicators broke and they couldn’t contact you? What if something happened and you weren’t there to help? That anxiety only amplified when you started your relationship with Leo. What if he needed you and you weren’t there? At the end of the night, when they inevitably made their way home, as they always, always, did, you nearly pounced on them, checking them over for any injuries and constantly asking if everyone was all right.
Now, after a little over a year of the same routine, you were much more practiced. It was as if you had gone through your own training, learning all the little signs that could signify the difference between an emergency and a victory. You again listened closely to the voices getting steadily louder, a soft smile playing across your lips. There were no sounds of labored breathing, no panicked voices or hurried footsteps. Just the boys taunting and teasing each other as they finally made their way into the Lair’s main living room.
Still, old habits die hard. From your spot on the couch, you looked over each turtle intensely, trying to scope out any injuries or strain, but thankfully found none. Your eyes landed on Leo last, who was lightheartedly shoving Donnie for some comment he had made about a portal from the night’s escapade. Leo laughed and made some jab right back at his brother, but his shoulders seemed more tense than usual. You followed the movement, a tinge of concern niggling it’s way to the back of your mind. As if feeling your eyes on him, Leo turned to face you, a smile alighting his features.
“Don’t worry, the wait is over! Your heroes have arrived!” Leo said with a flourish, making a grand gesture towards himself and his brothers, who laughed and rolled their eyes before giving you their own greetings.
You laughed at the display and the brothers’ lighthearted annoyance before piling on. “There’s my knight is shining plastron!”
“Oh baby you know I’m more of a prince,” Leo said, confidence oozing from his voice. “You just can’t hide this face under a helmet. Gotta give the people what they want!” He struck a pose, finger and thumb framing his apparently princely face as he smirked down at you. His brothers groaned in protest before choosing to ignore you both in favor of heading down the hall to the kitchen, following the smell of the pizza you had brought with you about an hour ago.
Even with the blithe reply, that tinge of concern in the back of your mind alighted again. You could tell something was off. The smirk may be trademark Leo, but the light didn’t quite reach his eyes. You cocked your head slightly, your own smile just barley slipping as you once again raked your eyes over his frame, looking for any potential injuries you could’ve missed the first time. But you still came up empty handed.
Leo noticed your gaze travel over him. “Like what you see?” he purred, hand going to his hip as he raised an eyebrow.
Your eyes shot up to meet his. Of course he could turn your routine concern into an innuendo. You felt warmth reaching your cheeks, but you refused to acknowledge it, deciding instead to beat him at his own game. “Hmmm, I haven’t decided yet. Do a little turn, I need to see all the angles.”
He laughed and did as you requested, gracefully making a small circle as he held his hands up, presenting himself. You leaned back on your hands as your feigned appraising him. However, you couldn’t help but take the chance to quickly run your eyes over his shell, noting no cracks or blemishes. The back of his head and his muscled legs yielded the same result. Not a physical injury then. “Well?” He was facing you now, an expectant look gracing his features. “Do I meet your expectations?”
You sighed dramatically, flipping a hand dismissively at him, “I suppose you will do.”
His laugh rang out again as he sauntered over to your place on the couch, lightly flicking your nose in response. “Oh how gracious of you mi amor.”
“What can I say? I know what I like,” you replied playfully, leaning forward to place a quick kiss against his lips. A softer smile spread across his lips as he followed your retreating form, lightly nuzzling your nose with his before stepping back.
You blinked at the sudden retreat, very much expecting another kiss at the very least. Instead, he took off his gear and laid it haphazardly on a random beanbag chair. You could almost see the playful energy dwindle out of him as he flopped next to you on the couch, head lolling onto your shoulder as a huff of air escaped him.
The slight concern turned into a full-on warning bell in your mind. Snuggling after a mission was nothing new, Leo’s main love language was touch after all, but it usually didn’t happen as soon as he walked through the door. Normally he would be too wired to sit still, practically bounce around the room as he regaled you with his heroics of the evening (always exaggerated just enough to make him out to be the true hero of the mission of course) and scarfed down enough pizza or take out to make any normal human sick.
You decided you’d had enough beating around the bush. “All right Champion, what’s eating at ya?”
“Who says anything’s ‘eating at me’? Can’t I just cuddle up with my partner after a long mission?”
“Come on Leo, I know you better than that,” you replied softly, nudging him gently with the shoulder he was resting on.
He sighed, “Sometimes I think you see me a little too well.”
“You said it yourself, you just can’t hide such a beautiful face.”
He snorted at the remark and then fell silent. You reached over and grabbed his nearest hand, intertwining your fingers. The two of you stayed like that for a few minutes, you waiting patiently and rubbing soothing circles on the back of his hand as he sorted his thoughts. It was always this way with Leo. For someone who seemed to hide behind words, he always chose them carefully, especially with you.
“Tonight was just...hard.” He finally said softly.
“Hard how?”
Another sigh escaped him as he kept his eyes trained on where your hand held his. “Things didn’t go the way they were supposed to. The plan was to take out some Foot faces before they did something stupid, simple as that. But by the time we smashed into that warehouse, we were surrounded. It was an ambush, a trap. And I didn’t see it coming.” He took a second to huff out a frustrated breath, and you waited, not wanting to interrupt.
“It wasn’t like it was anything we couldn’t handle, I mean the Foot clan hasn’t exactly upped their recruitment policies. But I was so caught off guard. I’m the leader, I’m supposed to know what’s going on and how to handle it, but I didn’t. I led my team, my brothers, into a literal trap. And it could’ve been so much worse. Hell, it almost ways. I was so preoccupied with trying to make sense of everything that I couldn’t even make a portal properly!” He flung the hand not holding yours up in frustration. “If it wasn’t for Donnie’s tech, I would’ve been knocked out cold. What kind of leader does that?! What kind of leader can’t figure out a situation or manage to hold his own?” He leaned his head into your shoulder more, dragged down by his own guilt.
Your heart tightened at the confession. Ever since being named leader, and especially after the Kraang incident, Leo had been impossibly tough on himself. You’d lost track of the number of times he had chosen extra training over coming to bed. How many strategy textbooks and medical journals he had read and reread between training and patrol and family time. He put in so much of himself to be the best leader, the best brother, he could be. And yet, in moments like these, he couldn’t seem to see that.
As much as you wanted to bring all of this up, you knew from experience that it wouldn’t assuage the guilt tightening his expression. So instead, you said, “A leader’s job isn’t to know everything. There are times where you’re simply going to be surprised, whether it be for better or worse. I bet even Raph couldn’t avoid that when he was leader.” You received a small huff at that. “What’s important is what happens after.”
“Yeah, and I froze. I messed up.”
“What happened,” you pressed on, “is your team worked together to solve the situation. No one expects you to know everything that’s going to happen or to fight it all on your own. You may have frozen, but your team was right there to have your back, just like you would have theirs if the roles were reversed. It’s not all on you.”
He mulled over your response before sighing. “I just thought after everything we went through, everything I went through, I would have this figured out by now.”
“I don’t think there really is a way to figure it all out. You just need to trust your brothers as much as they trust you. Leader or not, you’re not alone.” Leo hummed in reply, seemingly deep in thought at your words.
You pulled your eyes away from their focus on your joined hands and glanced at him sideways. You could tell the night and conversation were taking their toll from the way his forehead was creased and his drooped, exhaustion clearly pulling on his features.
After a minute, you carefully leaned away from him and gently nudged his head off your shoulder, causing him to look at you, an eyebrow raised. Rather than respond to the question in his eyes, you shifted so that you laid on your back across your half of the cushions, your shoulders and upper body supported by the arm of the couch. You looked at where Leo still sat upright, now caught between your legs, and smiled as you opened your arms invitingly.
“Come on, don’t leave me hanging!” you said playfully, yet softly, mindful of everything running through his head. Still, he could use some lightness right now.
He returned the smile and gladly made to lay on top of you, his plastron fitting snuggly against your stomach and his head nestled on your chest. He wrapped his arms around your torso and sunk in, nuzzling his face further into you. Still smiling, you placed one hand on his shell as the other came up to rub against the back of his head.
Leo sighed contently at the motion, somehow pulling you even closer. Looking down, you felt your heart both melt and tighten at his response. He carried so much responsibility on his shoulders: his brothers, his father, you, hell even the fate of the world on occasion. It was such a heavy burden to lift, even with the mutated muscles and shell on his back. You wanted nothing more than to take that weight, to give him a reprieve if only for a little bit. To show him just how important he was, leader or no. Lost in these thoughts, you closed your eyes and lightly dragged your nails across his skin and shell, receiving a pleasant shiver in return.
Then you started singing.
The lilting melody began softly, as if hesitant to break the comfortable silence the two of you had created. The notes gradually floated from you in an almost whispered caress. You couldn’t help the small smile that tugged on your lips as they formed around the familiar lyrics you’d sung so many times before. Only a few bars in, you felt Leo stir from his position on top of you. You abruptly halted your song, eyes flying open as you tensed.
It hadn’t been a conscious decision really. You often sang to yourself when you wanted comfort, always feeling calm and centered when the music surrounded you. It seemed only natural to want to bring that same comfort now, to wrap the two of you softly in your voice.
But maybe that was selfish of you to think. Your mind flashed to other times you had found yourself singing around others, their smiles and compliments masking the annoyance you could see in their eyes. Maybe Leo didn’t want to hear you right now. Maybe he thought you were showing off when all he really wanted was comfort.
You cringed softly as you looked down at him, apology already on your tongue. But his face made you pause once more. He looked up at you, eyes wide and mouth slightly open. While the exhaustion remained, there was a twinkle of wonder and affection in his gaze that had you blowing out a light breath of air.
“Keep going,” Leo whispered into the small space between you. You stared back at him unmoving, the moment feeling delicate and indescribably precious. He waited, eyes never leaving yours.
So you began again.
As before, you started softly, the melody gracefully whispering into the silence around you. Then your voice began to grow, the song taking full form.
The melody floated off your tongue and hung suspended in the air like ribbon. You softly dragged and pulled the notes as you wove them together, blending them seamlessly. The tapestry of your song surrounded you both and softly wrapped you in its warmth. All the while, you found yourself unable to look away from Leo’s wonder-filled eyes.
As you came to your favorite lyric, you reached up and gently grazed the tips of your fingers down and across his cheek, trying to imbue the words and motion with every ounce of love you felt for him. He leaned into your caress as his eyes went glassy. The true vulnerability and intimacy of the moment threatened to take your breath away, but you pushed on, determined to give him this gift, this piece of you however small.
Because that's what it was, you realized. Singing had always been a part of you that you cherished, even if no one else seemed to. And here he was, the love of your life, soaking up every emotion-filled word and comforting note as if they were the last he would ever hear.
Words couldn't begin to describe the emotions swirling through your chest.
Without even meaning to, you had found your own way of showing just how much he meant to you, how much you admired and cherished him, regardless of any mission. Your heart soared at the thought as your eyes watered. Yes, you would gladly give him this piece of you over and over and over again. Every lyric, every note, every breath could be his if it brought an ounce of comfort. If it showed even a fraction of the love that filled your heart. He could have it all.
With a newfound purpose, you brought the song back down to a whisper, something meant only for the two of you. You shifted your hand so it was cupping his cheek. He once again leaned into your touch, a soft smile wobbling across his lips as a tear slowly made its trek down his cheek before your thumb brushed it away. You returned the smile knowing he understood. He knew exactly what you were trying to say, even if the exact words never left your tongue.
Too soon the song ended, leaving the two of you suspended in its afterglow. For a long moment, neither of you spoke, simply breathing in the comfortable silence. If it were up to you, that's exactly how you would stay, basking in the comfort and love that surrounded you both.
However, Leo could only stay silent for so long. “You’re incredible,” he finally whispered. Even having not moved for the entirety of you song, he seemed breathless. “After all this time, you still continue to amaze me.”
“I was just thinking the same thing,” you replied equally soft, thumb still rubbing soothingly across his cheek. His smile broadened slightly at the remark, but there was no quick retort.
Instead, voice still low, he asked, “Would you sing another?”
And that’s how you stayed for the rest of the night, Leo pressed against you, his own churrs vibrating from his chest in tandem with your swirling notes, and you, singing softly until you were both lulled into a peaceful sleep.
