August Recap!
Thanks for the tag @lemonlyman-dotcom! I'm sorry to say in this instance that I too am an Apple Music listener and thus am burdened by the inability to use cool music analytic apps like Recieptify. So here are the top albums and artists that Apple Music Replay thinks I've listened to the most. I think this is as of the entire year and not just in August because there is no way my tracks listed are from this month alone.

because between two kids under two, two dogs, their own relationship, a full-time career where they have to watch what they eat, work out, and manage injuries… their #1 priority should be posting the exact content that fans want with the exact combo of family members they demand 🙄😒
before anyone decides to be deliberately obtuse about this, it is not the same thing as wanting the Gotham social media to post content. that’s their literal job.
Seriously like I really don't think these people stop and think just how much they are constantly doing every single day?? And it doesn't mean they both have to handle it the same way either. Like just because Ash decides to share part of her day when she's hanging with Sloane or whatever every now and then doesn't mean that Ali isn't doing the same thing with Sloane at some point in the day and just not posting it or that Ash isn't as busy, Ash just thinks of it and wants to post about it and that's probably just not on Ali's mind? Like they're not the same person despite people acting like they have to do everything the same because they're married lol
And of course there was going to be a bunch of Ash/Sloane content from the game Sunday, Ash wasn't playing?? Like Ali had to go through the whole game routine and whatever, Ash got to be with Sloane the whole time...there really hasn't been a time where Ali hasn't played and Ash has so there isn't that chance for that kind of content at the game unless we got some post game stuff but the way people get so crazy about it is wild. Like I would love content of Ali and the kids and even the 4 of them (which I hope we get soon) but to make up all these theories because we aren't is just so crazy to me like for what purpose lol
And yes it's definitely different than expecting stuff from the Gotham admin who needs to do better because I'm sensing a pattern in her "content" and I'm not loving it thus far. And Gotham in general is just awful and doing anything besides game day stuff which is a joke. It's not going to keep fans invested at all.

August Recap
Sudah hari kedua September, tapi masih mengenang Agustus.
Jika bentuk prestasi itu berarti memperoleh sesuatu, justru prestasi utamaku bulan lalu adalah rela melepas sesuatu. Ada hal-hal yang memang tidak bisa dipaksakan, sekuat apapun berusaha. Mungkin bagianku adalah untuk mengikhlaskan saja.
Awal bulan, diawali dengan lebih sadar dengan kesehatan. Mungkin. Rangkaian prosedur yang akhirnya mengubah hidup aku sebulan terakhir, setahun-dua tahun kedepan, atau bahkan selamanya.
Lalu melihat buku yang tidak kunjung selesai, jadi aku bawa satu novel ke tempat kerja. Lumayan saat istirahat dapat membaca beberapa lembar. Entah kenapa lebih minim distraksi, apa karena di rumah terlalu nyaman dan gampang bikin ketiduran. Lalu akhirnya selesai juga novel yang sudah tertunda, dan bisa dilanjutkan dengan novel selanjutnya.
Setelah merasa stuck, merasa tidak ada perkembangan yang signifikan dalam menggambar. Akhirnya aku mulai belajar dari dasar-dasarnya, yang sebelumnya belum pernah aku lakukan. Ternyata cukup membantu, ada banyak yang belum aku tahu dan yang baru aku pelajari.
Di minggu pertama, melakukan perjalanan yang (agak) jauh. Mendapatkan pengalaman-pengalaman pertama kali yang seru, bertemu orang baru, menjelajahi tempat yang baru. Jadi momen yang akan terkenang.
Lalu kembali lagi ke kampus setelah dua tahun lebih. Mengembalikan nostalgia, pada hari-hari itu. Walaupun belum sempat keliling jauh.
Hari-hari di bulan Agustus yang kebanyakan diakhiri dengan hujan. Aku pun mulai memberanikan diri lagi, mengejar apa-apa yang tertunda. Pesan aku untuk diriku kedepannya; jangan terlalu.

DAHLIA - (G)I-DLE. Of course.
Narcissism - Sunmi. Of course. Another gorgeous song.
Flower Rain - Youha. Coming in at #9, another beautiful synth masterpiece.
The Flash - Kwon Eunbi. Grew on me a bit slowly, but ended up higher than Comet, which I liked first!
Bubble - STAYC. A great bubblegum song with some fun synth!
LOST - (G)I-DLE. A beautiful guitar song!
I DO - (G)I-DLE. A nice, slow synth song. Coming in at #26.
Opening Sequence - TXT. Damn a lot of synth.
HWAA - (G)I-DLE. At #34, a surprise elegant song!

It could’ve been better. I lacked consistency by the end of the month. I started so well :(
I am very disappointed. I won’t be able to apply my project this semester, cause the university closest to me will only accept applications of projects focused on brazilian or ethnicity related history. I am very very sad.
When I got the news... broke my heart. But that’s life.
I will have to wait a little bit more, but I know I will be okay.

One thing about Welcome to Night Vale that makes it so engaging for me is that Cecil's repetition subconsciously created this sort of call and response effect in me.
The easy one is the Glow Cloud (all hail). Like, even if I hadn't typed that all hail just now, I still would (and did) say it. Others are similar follow-ups and descriptions immediately following mostly proper nouns:
John Peters--you know, the farmer?
Larry Leroy, out on the edge of town,
Old Woman Josie (out by the car lot)
...and various iterations of how Steve Carlsberg is just the worst
These are just a tiny handful of examples; I'd say there at least a dozen or two that have wormed their way into my subconscious to be recited without effort or awareness as they occur.
I know that for some people, this kind of repetition is going to be an irritant. But for me, it not only cements these characters in their own reality but also brings me into Night Vale itself. It brings Night Vale to me.
