This self-indulgent Ancient Greece AU is finally done after I spent like 2 years thinking about it and way too long actually writing it, and I hope the finale is satisfying!

She’s been parted from Lena for over three full months by the time change comes.

Kara is woken not to the usual bright discomfort of her lead dome, but to sight and sound. It’s still the darkest part of the night, and she glances at the place where Clark usually stands watch only to find it empty, the dome turned over and still rolling slowly over the flagstones. And someone is standing over her in the dark. A woman, Kara thinks - she can’t make out the details for a few long seconds, her eyes still adjusting, but her suspicion is confirmed when her liberator speaks.

“Get up. Now.”

“Wh – who are you?” Kara asks, swinging her legs out of bed and trying to orient herself to the situation. The woman remains terse.

“A friend. Put these on.”

A soft bundle is thrust at Kara’s chest – a dark hood and cloak, and a plain chiton. She frowns.

“What’s going on? Is this some kind of trap to get me to try and escape? Because I’m not putting Lena in danger just to -”

“Do you want to see her or not, Orpheus?”

I FINISHED IT! (I was worried about making it in time. Three days ago it was a rough sketch)

Here is my art piece (s) for Carry on Through the Ages an event run by @carryonthroughtheages

So my idea for this wordless comic is loosely inspired by the myth of Galatea.

Agatha is constantly pursued by suitors but she isn't into anyone and doesn't want to marry any living man. In a Galatea fashion she goes to carve a man for herself to be her husband, one who wont want anything from her and will let her live her life alone. She starts carving Simon but after finishing carving his face she pauses. He isn't looking like her sketch there is something off, something wrong with his expression. She takes a step back and notices the statue is regarding her with a mournful expression. So she goes back to her art and starts drawing to figure it out, she does and goes back to the statue adding what was missing: Baz. A love Simon could actually have and hold forever, not to be in a cold lifeless sham. Agatha leaves the statue in some quiet forest grove to live their life and goes and lives hers in her own way.

Also this didn't come through in the nicer photos BUT i used a metallic watercolor for the marble and it kills me it didn't show up so here is a close up:

AU Idea: what if during a mission Shen Jiu found himself victim of a magical artifact which spirited him away in ancient Greece and he get unintendedly involved with some of the greek myths's plots?

The moral of this story ask is that any prompt related to Ancient Greece will lead Pears to immediately jump to "and [name] finds himself getting smashed by Zeus".

Shen Jiu gets smashed by Zeus.

Shen Jiu, through his (theoretical) knowledge of dual cultivation, cauldrons, and demonic cultivation based on human body fluids and more ends up becoming a minor deity by sucking up (literally as well as figuratively) some of Zeus' godhood.

Congrats Shen Jiu! You are the first of the Qing generation to ascend!

Unfornuately for Shen Jiu, he's got a very pissed off Zeus gunning for him as Zeus finds himself so weakened that he's no longer the top dog among the Greek pantheon... Oh and Hera would like a word too.

(Hm, would Zeus see about somehow tricking Shen Jiu into eating some Underworld fruits so that Shen Jiu is banished to live in the dreary underworld?

Add in a Luo Bingge who's jumping through dimensions for a nice shizun he can keeps and... things are interesting.

I have a set of words that I like using for the dynamics. These being: Eleusinian, Asterian, Arethenian, Themian and Aphrosian.

[Eleusinian]: Referring to Dynamics with the anatomical capacity of giving birth. Omegas (either male or female) and Beta females.

One who's prejudiced and biggoted towards this group is being "Eleusinistic".

[Asterian]: Referring to Dynamics with the anatomincal capacity of Impregnating another. Alphas (either male or female) and Beta males.

One who's prejudiced and biggoted towards this group is being "Asterianistic".

[Arethenian]: Deriving from the sibling gods of war, Ares and Arthemis, this refers to the ones the greeks believes to be their respective children. Alpha males for Ares and Alpha females for Arthemis.

One who's prejudiced and biggoted towards this group is being "Arethenistic".

[Themian]: Dereving from the goddess Themis, who was mostly seen as the Beta patron goddess. This terms refers to both male and female Betas.

One who's prejudiced and biggoted towards this group is being "Theministic".

[Aphrosian]: Deriving from the Goddess Aphrodite, believed to be the mother of all Omegas. This term refers to both male and female Omegas.

my notifs recently got me thinking about the very random concept of "what if there is a second, secret CHB. directly below normal CHB." and i ended up brainstorming it in the discord.

context for how this originated: one was just a random notif on my post talking about the tunnels under the Hephaestus cabin, and the other was some tags from @drksanctuary on my fake readriordan article mentioning the idea of a chthonic demigod camp.

so. my brilliant (read: "smashing my 2 brain cells together") idea: the elaborate and seemingly infinite tunnels under cabin 9 are remnants of an abandoned underground CHB that exists directly underneath camp. It's basically just normal CHB except in a big cave system, probably connected to the labyrinth somewhere and has the separate tunnels, and instead of the Olympian cabins it has chthonic cabins. there's probably also some infernal nymphs and etc down there too. since all chthonic demigods can learn to shadow-travel they probably used that to get down there, and a lot of chthonic demigods probably have geokinesis just by nature, ergo the tunnels (for when they don't want to shadow-travel, or can't).

in brainstorming with the discord we decided it could be cool if some of the cabins lined up with the above-ground cabins, either for thematic purposes or associations or whatever. Like there's maybe a Hermes and maybe Poseidon cabin in the chthonic CHB too that just link to the above-ground ones, but also like Persephone cabin lines up to Demeter cabin because of course it does. and maybe Hecate cabin lines up to Cabin 8 cause Artemis is sometimes 1/3rd of Hecate. Maybe Angelos cabin is beneath Cabin 1, and Zagreus cabin is beneath Cabin 12. Things like that.

The other ones i thought of were either Hypnos or Thanatos cabin lines up with Apollo, because twins, and the other is just right beside it (because twins). And Charon's cabin is beneath Cabin 9, ergo why the tunnel system connects to it (because Charon. Ferryman. Surface access. It makes sense in my brain).

I ended up attempting a bit of concept art for my post-Ragnarok AU! From top to bottom, we have Greece, Rome, and Midgard XDD

These are technically background studies too since I struggle with perspective and wanted to practice! My references were screenshots of those “What did Ancient Greece/Rome look like?” videos on YouTube. Regardless of how accurate the videos are, they at least gave me that Greco-Roman inspired setting that I needed -- and besides, this is God of War, so historical accuracy isn’t totally necessary lololl

As for Kratos’ house, I think I messed up on the proportions, especially for the roof loll But overall, I’m quite happy with it! :DDD Unfortunately though (or maybe fortunately?), Kratos is not home when Atreus and Calliope visit the house ^^;;

It took me a long time and a lot of research rabbit holes but I finally managed to get another Ancient Greece AU chapter done!! So happy Supercorp Sunday to all who celebrate 💕🏛️

“Is this a dungeon?” Lena says as they approach the man, who looks only at Lex. Kara and Lena might as well be invisible. “Are you keeping someone prisoner here?”

“Of course not,” Lex says jovially. “Simply one of many homes for him. He likes to be away from the chaos of the city. Isn’t that right?”

The man doesn’t answer. He’s pale and still, with short black hair and a muscular build, and he’s obviously tall even when he’s seated. His face might have been handsome if his eyes weren’t so hollow. They’re a dull grey, red-rimmed and sickly and only accentuated by the blood-red colour of his tunic. Even so, there’s something familiar about his face as Kara gets close enough to see the details; the shape of his mouth, the alignment of his features. The perfect curl at the front of his dark hair.

Just like her uncle Jor-El.

The torchlight flashes over a glint of metal hanging around his neck. A silver pendant. One bearing a symbol as familiar to Kara as her own name, because it is.

Kara’s supper, so recently enjoyed, threatens to come up again.

“…Kal-El?” Kara whispers.
