Just gonna reblog my own post here on my main blog because I think this is rather relevant right now.
I am an advocate for people doing whatever they want with a/b/o, but sometimes I can't tell if people are using the "misce" side of it for real people, or if they're using it for fictional things. And that is slightly uncomfortable...
Again you can do whatever you want. I'm not the Misce police. But the uncertainty at times is disconcerting.
If they're using it for real people, then that's that. But if they're using to refer to fictional people and things part of me wonders if they know about real misce people, and if they do, why would you use it for fictional things?
This isn't a bashing post of "how dare you!" or "we own the right to everything related to it, you can't have it!". It is a genuine inquiry.
Is there a reason? Is this just a mix up or misunderstanding? Am I unaware of something I should be aware of?
Like I could, 100% be missing the plot and there's an obvious reason for it all.
Waiting for clarification if anyone could help me with this one.

Aroace person here.
I mean, yea you don't have to deal with romance, that's true. Thus the whole weird mind games people play with each other in pursuit of allo relationships don't really affect us.
But instead you have to deal with the crushing realisation that you'll never be anyone's priority. Ever.
Maybe you were lucky enough to have parents that cared for you. They make you their priority. But statistically speaking, they'll die much sooner than you. So many of us who have this type of love, well... It's limited and it only lives as long as our parents do.
Maybe you have siblings. Again... They go off to get married, have kids, a job, a house... A life without you in it, because that stage of their lives is over.
You have friends. First in school. They fade when you join different colleges. Then college. They fade once they get their degree. Roommates... They have their own goals and significant others they wish to build a life with.
At the end of the day, you're just you. And you don't have what they have or want what they want. The value you put on friendship... It's not the value they put in it. It just isn't it. You're an afterthought to them, not a main concern.
When you're aroace and you don't want children either. You basically have to come to terms with being enough for yourself, because you'll never be enough for others. You don't have as much value as just a friend as they do to you.
I too want someone to go home to. I want someone I can hug and cry with. Someone I can watch series with. Cook with on a sunday. Go to walks in the night market. Who I can sing silly songs with. But I have to swallow that desire. Because I know it's not gonna happen.
So many aroace people have tried in the past to find qprs, and were told by people "I'm okay with you being aroace". Only to be forced and manipulated into uncomfortable and undesirable situations. Because no, most people *are not* okay with us being aroace. And they get into relationships with us, thinking they're the one that's gonna change us, the one that's gonna "fix" us. But they just hurt us instead. And remind us that the world has very little space for us.
So many of us stop even trying.
So yeah. Romance is not a factor I guess. But by no means makes it easier to live with.
being aroace must be so nice cuz like you don’t have to deal with romance. you must have so much more free time to dedicate to like. fostering healthy friendships and stuff. idk it seems like it would be easier to live like that

Don't let people tell you that Omegaverse and Miscehood is and has to be inherently sexual! Cause they're full of bologna.
There's many ways to be Misce and darling, if you haven't checked in since 2010, there are MANY MORE ways of writing A/B/O that don't involve sex at all.

If you came to work/college/school and unexpectedly someone gives you something that respects your dietary restrictions/allergies, but at no point did they ask you about it, they just *know*. That person is an Alpha, and you've already been accepted for quite a while ago, you just weren't aware yet, because they thought it was just obvious and didn't need verbalization.
if you’re talking to someone and they ask you “are you allergic or have any dietary restrictions? I wanna make you food” that person is an omega, you are being accepted into their circle.

A bit off topic, I noticed that many blogs are using the new rendition of the upside down moon and four pointed star from my misce flag, including your blog. And I honestly like it a lot. Looks like those Star Trek rank insignia thingies. Very cool. I wish I knew who is the original creator of the new rendition is. I thought it was @rabidbatboy, but I am unsure if they just made like a version of it, or if they actually did the new version from scratch. Either way it looks cool.
So allow me to offer:

I've always seen myself as foul and vile, leaning on malevolent and predatory in nature even, at times. And this new found knowledge does not frame things in a new, more absolving or charitable light.

I have a question.
I'm an Alpha.
But I despise the thought of having worn, unclean clothes being in contact with an Omega.
I don't touch things I consider unclean. That also includes people.
If my Omega becomes "unclean" by rummaging through my unclean clothing, that'd make me highly uncomfortable.
My question is: Do all Omegas just like worn clothes? Is the nest somehow less good if you use clean clothes?
Are there any Omegas that actually *don't* like clothing that's been worn?
all alphas should have to make offerings of their worn clothes to their omegas in order to be granted nest access. if the omega reject the article, then it's a no.
