notable dialogue when me and my two sisters (14 and 9 years old) were watching the atla s1 finale yesterday, them watching for the first time:

14yrold: (tears running down her face. same, girl) she's literally dying give them a break 🙄

I've done it, salamander zuko. I think being an angry fire kin fits him, antlers so he can butt heads with every single authority figure in his life, a serpentine body to somehow slide out of every near death situation with minimal damage and spikes so he can physically isolate himself from everyone he cares about and suffer alone in silence because he's incapable of asking for help as it would wound his pride 😊

Hello, I'm Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender. I'm looking for Azula.

I know our lives had been hard and cruel but I miss her dearly and I know that she wasn't an irredeemable monster.

I don't quite remember if my Azula had a redemption of her own but I do remember that she was capable of one. My canon is adjacent to the show and comics, though not exact, but I'd be willing to meet with any Azula who's willing to reach out.
