Are the types of assessments for each clan basically the same? I know you’d said you would be a WindClan warrior—what warrior assessment do you think you would have had?
Lynx and I actually described our sonas' assessments here! As for the first question, the nine assessments are territory-wide - there are no special ones unique to any of the Clans.

Am I about to finish my second essay before the first one is due?
I will get to feel accomplished for exactly 6 hours (most of which will be spent asleep) before I have to start revisions/the third essay. But hey, I’ll get to feel accomplished!

way too many questions on the autism assessments are about evaluating how other people perceive you. "do they think you're weird?", "do they think you do things in strange ways?", "do they have trouble understanding you?"
My dudes, I spent my entire life thinking I was just bad at being a person, and doing my best to not have that be noticeable to others. So I don't know what they think, I know what I've been trying to pretend.

10.19.23 ✿°•∘ I'm surprised that they're giving assessments during student's week. Instead of having fun, we are bombarded with assessments once again. Sheesh our university really forbids us to rest ಥ‿ಥ

Apprentice Assessments
The change from apprentice to warrior-rank is a significant moment in every Clan cat's life - it transforms them into a proper adult, it gives them liberties they've never had before, and it signifies that they have survived all odds and have earned their place in their community, beyond what an apprentice or kit is given by default. It's hard to find a single cat in history, even brought-in loners, who hasn't been excited to earn their suffix. Nervous, too, perhaps, but excited moreso.
However, one doesn't just get their name on a random day of the leader's choosing, with nothing but an announcement for the Clan to gather 'round and cheer for their comrade. Every apprentice needs to go through one final test to ensure they are indeed ready to become a warrior and need no further training. These tests are called "assessments". They are intended to press on the to-be-warrior's weakest point in their training or character; the idea is that if the least skilled part of a cat is still successful and competent, then their best areas are worthy of a name several times over. Most cats succeed on the first try, but some do fail and are required to train a little more before they can try again. Failure is not supposed to be a bad thing, but it still invites shame to the apprentice, and a disappointment in themselves. No one wants to have to be held back for their warrior name, after all.
There are nine types of assessments, varied to account for each individual apprentice's needs.
Escort: An apprentice will be tasked with escorting a member of their Clan to some other location in the territory, generally the place where the most danger can be found. The escort is usually the seer, but elders, disabled Clanmates, and very young apprentices have been used before too - basically, whoever is going to struggle to protect themselves out in the wild or cause the guard a little trouble. They will be taken to their destination by the apprentice, who is also keeping an eye out for danger, and depending on the length of the walk, may be met by the leader or deputy, or just have to take the escort back home.
Spar: This one is simple enough - the apprentice will be given an opponent to battle with. This can be the deputy or just a cat who will pose the most trouble to the apprentice (generally someone larger or more agile than them). No blood is to be drawn on purpose; just a pin, knockback or bringing the opponent to the ground is good enough. Even better is if the opponent verbally admits defeat. Not many do.
Patrol: Taking place of the deputy or leader, an apprentice organizes a patrol of warriors to go around the border and mark their territory. The deputy may be consulted to find available warriors, but the apprentice is largely on their own and will lead the patrol without any help from authority. Generally considered the most intimidating of the assessments thanks to its weight of responsibility.
Track: One warrior is sent out to hide somewhere, covering their trail as much as they can. The apprentice then is tasked with tracking down and ambushing the warrior, using whatever subtle signs they can find to follow them. The ambushing is crucial - the warrior needs to be stalked like prey and have no indication that they're being followed. This is difficult, of course, because the warrior will always be aware they need to watch out, even if they're supposed to act like they're the only cat in the world.
Vigil: The least active assessment is to sit and guard camp, or a part of the camp that needs the most protection (usually the nursery). Not quite the Herculean task, but it's a good test for easily-distracted or energetic cats to stay in one place for an extended period of time and keep their ears and eyes open for any trouble.
Mentor: The apprentice has one job here, and that's to teach a younger apprentice (or apprentices) a hunting or fighting move. The move is expected to be advanced, but the to-be-warrior can really go for anything their juniors don't know - and if they're brand new, that's all the better. This can take a while, as each apprentice needs to be able to replicate the move with enough competence that the leader or deputy overseeing the training will approve and consider the move "learned".
Recite: Mentally stimulating and extremely difficult, this is reciting the code from memory. Few cats remember the obscure rules and loopholes that the code's various sections have or rare events. As a result, this assessment is reserved for the most intelligent and well-versed apprentices, and it has the highest failure rate.
Meditate: Another one for the antsy and easily-distracted. The task is to sit and meditate with the Clan's seer, which can wildly range in time, as the seer dictates how long or short the session is. This is intended for self-reflection and finding an inner peace - or an inner piece of yourself that you're ready to improve as you become an adult. The meditation is done in total silence after the seer gives an explanation (or vague introduction). Somehow, the seer always knows whether the apprentice was really trying to meditate or just sitting there thinking of other things.
Hunt: The classic test, and the first assessment that branched out into the other eight listed here. An apprentice is to head out into the territory and catch a certain amount of prey on their own, then return home with their catches. They may be quietly observed, but they are most often entirely by themselves. This is a very common assessment, but it's been losing some ground over the generations thanks to most cats being competent at hunting, even when it isn't their strong suite, and instead needing challenges of other types.
