Do you have a favorite meal someone's made for you? what foods remind you of home or of someone?, what do you like to eat when they feel like shit (emotionally or actually sick)?

I remember when I was younger my mom would make fried chicken cutlets, mashed potatoes, and corn on the cob (sometimes with a Caesar salad too) and that was always mine and my brother’s favorite meal😍We’d ask her to make it all the time and that meal definitely reminds me of my mom and my childhood and for some reason brings back memories of eating that dinner on Sundays during the summer with my family and my brother’s girlfriend and then all of us watching True Blood later in the evening🙈

My favorite foods are anything in the junk food family so if I’m feeling particularly down I’ll treat myself on the weekend (for some reason I rationalize that Saturday and Sunday are designated bad eating days😁) to fast food or snacks (usually something salty). When I’m physically sick (or even just need to warm up or feel a little less sleepy after having my cup of coffee in the morning) I typically go for a warm cup of tea (I’m drinking a cup right now since I ent out last night and am especially tired🥱)

Man, that's tough. I have a hard time picking one thing---I mean, *gestures to all the fic* you know? But I can narrow it down to a couple of scenes/elements:

The fact that a romanced Fenris still calls you "my friend" even after the act 2 romance scene. This is just...the bedrock of their relationship to me. Yes, that night went very poorly (understatement, I know), but at the core they are friends and he trusts Hawke in a way he's likely never had the cause or opportunity to trust someone before. I believe he never stopped loving Hawke, and it was a matter of laying those feelings out and understanding them one at a time. Romantic love not replacing platonic love or eclipsing it, but building or twining together is just... *chef's kiss* that's the good stuff.

The moment during the romance conversation in Act 3 when you can see Fenris go from hoping (painfully hoping!) that there is still some way he and Hawke can be together to actually believing it will happen. There is a shift in his body language that I could watch (and...have) over and over.

The element of choice? This is not going to be coherent, but the fact that he is learning for the first time what it means to have options and preferences, and he spends a lot of time exploring and understanding himself...and after all of that, the thing he keeps coming back to is Hawke. I think it's gorgeous. A song with refrains of pain or fear and choruses of decision and hope. He's loyal to a fault, in many ways, but understanding how much of himself exists to share and then still choosing to share it is just...man. I said this wasn't going to be coherent lol, so there you are. "If there is a future to be had..." like he doubts its existence but he's willing to chance it for Hawke. Man.

But, honestly? I've played DA2 a lot of times and never romanced another character, even though I've played through multiple romance storylines in each of the other games. I can't shake the Fenris romance. Every time I open a new playthrough, I tell myself that this is the time I'm going to romance Isabela, and every time Fenris rips that dude's heart out and I just......alright, yeah. Okay. Here we go again.

Where does August get his blood? If he drinks from Lucas, then where did he get it before?

He does drink from Lucas in our current timeline! With Lucas' consent, of course! And just a little from his wrist, definitely not his neck.

Before Lucas though, I think August paid a pretty penny for some ethically sourced blood packets ;) I imagine bags of blood probably shipped from overseas where vampire and human relationships are a taddddd less tetchy, and maybe there is some volunteer blood-donors for vamps! 🥰

so columbus day is a Big Deal in spain (... duh) and I sorta kinda absolutely abhor ✨everything✨ about it <3 so we're inventing a new holiday. What is the holiday about, how to celebrate and why is it important?

I think that I would give everyone their own holiday, kind of like a birthday but recognized by a lot more people. Once every couple of years (since people might do more great things and want to update) a survey would be sent out and people could pick a day that they feel like they accomplished something or did something they’re proud of (and it could be anything from winning an award to getting a new job or even quitting a bad one to doing well on a test to getting sober to just making it out of bed on a hard day) and it would have to be recognized as their Triumph Day. They’d get a day off of school or work (without being penalized) and whoever knows them and/or lives near them would have to reach out to them and make the person whose day it is feel important and special and acknowledged (maybe the local news could even do a list every day of who is celebrating their Triumph Day). Oh and another perk of Triumph Day is that the person celebrating can get their favorite meal for free if they show their license at a restaurant (since I’m going to have Triumph Days added to IDs) since to me that just adds an extra congratulations. I’m also thinking that if needed, people can request for their Triumph Day to be celebrated earlier if they’re going through a hard time and feel like they’d benefit from the encouragement and recognition earlier in the year

😈 i'm sooooo glad you asked !! i don't think i've posted about this before, but you know i often ponder about how corey and michael end up. what could possibly tear them apart? there are so many possibilities -- none of which are definitive -- but here's what I think brought corey back to reader in the end.

michael is dead -- perhaps not in a ditch lol, but in a cheap motel room, or a seedy house they're squatting -- and corey's definitely the one who killed him.

they're fighting, worse than ever before and exactly like it always is. michael's hands are around his neck, in a vice grip that isn't getting looser. but the thought of dying isn't so appealing anymore, and corey has a knife in his jacket, or he knocks michael off his feet, or he gets a good enough grip on that heavy glass ash tray next to the bed. he doesn't stop -- stabbing, hitting, bludgeoning -- and there's blood all over his hands and in his mouth and he can taste michael and he tastes just like any other man.

he doesn't kill michael to be with you, not exactly. he kills michael because if he didn't, michael would kill him. that's the way it was always going to be. that desire for control that drives corey finally turns on michael, turns on his master and gives corey a thrill he'll never get again in his life. corey will prod and poke at the bruises on his neck for weeks, to keep them purple and tender for longer. his last gift from michael.

he's reached his peak and with nothing left, he finds his way home to you, all his hope is pinned on you waiting for him. even when he comes back to you, michael isn't really gone though. no, michael lives in a dark corner of corey's head, along with momma. the only way corey's ever getting away from them for good is when he dies too. but at least he has you.

i really debated over which ending would work for strawberry drizzle, but i love the idea of corey coming back to you all battered and bruised and you just not knowing -- maybe never knowing -- what's happened to him, but happy he's with you at last.

i mean, what can you really piece together about his life? when you first meet him he's with another man (who looks like one mean motherfucker, as @/toastysalt once described him to me lol) and corey's life seems to revolve around him to some degree, and he's always covered in bruises, he's been strangled and his knuckles are split, he's skittish about staying in one place for too long and while you never find an ID amongst his modest belongings, you find a knife instead.

in a way, it's kind of similar to clean again (unintentionally and in a non-plagiaristic way lol) you don't know what's happened to him -- a bad relationship? a runaway who's been drifting ever since? career criminality to survive? -- but what matters is that he chose you over all of it.
