But Holy Fucking Fuck! The State of leftists Tags on this site is so fucking bad. Like you cant browse the Anticapitalist, communist or socialist Tags without seeing people praising the Soviets or China or just blatantly denying Genocides. Of course I am of the opinion that the left would be stronger If it wouldnt constantly start Infights over nothing. BUT defending Authoritarian regimes, denying Genocide, defending Imperialism(as long as it isnt USA), Warcrimes and the Overall supression of the working Class are under no circumstances part of leftist Values and we dont need these people to stand strong against the System.

If you still consider fighting side by side with these people I recommand you take a look at what happend to teh CNT-FAI during the Spanish civil war. Or the Anrchist/libertarian socialists that fought in the Russian Revolution. These people will stab you in the back or put you in to a Camp first chance they get.

If you are part of the LGBTQ community or Religious minority I recommand looking what is currently happenig to the Uyghurs in China or Russias war on the LGBTQ community.

Luckily most of these people are Keyboard warriors and dont engage with the real world.

Do you not realize what he has done could be the exact act that makes the US armed forces question what they have been brainwashed into doing, could make hundreds if not thousands leave the military? He could be the very reason even the most conservative of Americans stop defending Israel? Regardless of what your thoughts on this are, one cannot logically deny this is REVOLUTIONARY if we let it be.

ngl, every time i see people hating on the british monarchy, warranted though it is, i wish they keep the same energy toward other colonizers.

Take a moment to consider the abuses by police officers. From intimidation, physical and verbal abuse, to entrapment, blackmail, corruption, scheming setups, planted drugs, even rapes, murders, and coverups.

Beyond that, there's the systemic abuse and over-policing of poor and minority neighborhoods.

Often cop's crimes go completely unpunished and as a class, cops are among the least accountable citizens in society.

All these abuses and more occur despite our Constitutional protections, "democratic" norms, and a strong Judicial system and strong govt institutions.

Now imagine halfway across the world, in amorphous war zones in foreign countries occupied by US troops, the CIA and their proxies.

Can we even begin to imagine the daily horrors and abuses inflicted on civilians caught in these war zones? Do we really think traumatized teens and twenty something's sent across the globe to plunder resources for Billionaire Oligarchs and the Transnational elites aren't committing far more horrid crimes against civilians in these places?

Whatever abuses Americans suffer at the hands of cops living in the imperial core, multiply that a hundredfold when it comes to US occupying forces in obscure war zones.

What kind of accountability do you really think exists in practice for victims of crimes by US occupying forces or CIA proxies in far flung battlefields in Iraq, Syria, Yemen Libya, Somalia or Afghanistan???

And never forget that the tools of yesterday's foreign wars often become the tools for societal control at home. Remember, the Dept of Homeland Security still sends countless shipments of military overstock, gear and weaponry, to police and sheriff's departments all across the country every year. Those stocks of weapons and gear, including armored vehicles and chemical agents are rolled out en force the moment there's unrest or mass protest.

You can't be anti-cop and pro-Imperialism, just like you can't be anti-Imperialist and pro-cop. The two are intimately intertwined, and whatever we inflict on the outside world, we tend to import home: drugs, gun violence, sex trafficking, corruption, and Fascism.

Look, I'm not saying that the Joshua ending in honest hearts is better, but I am saying is that there should be a 3rd option wherein you use all 100 of your world-changing charisma to convince Daniel and Joshua to shut the fuck up about mormonism and let the tribes be, not even necessarily leaving off into the wastes, just like...chilling out. I'm not at all opposed to the tribes defending themselves from the white legs, but the fact that it's basically garunteed that they'll be infected by mormonism is the biggest problem I've always had

I think my favorite piece of American history is how many rivers in the USA are just the local native word for river.

They burned all their healers for witchcraft 300 years prior and have ailments so common you can fix them with an herbal tea. They put all their IQ points into Gun and can barely function in any other capacity. These people have been free basing nothing potatoes and mutton for generations and it shows. They have a creepy religion about some dude that they murdered on some wood and won’t dance or drink or chill out about it.

I have to imagine that when settlers pointed to a river the indigenous people were like “holy shit these dumb bastards don’t even know what a river is!”
