Minty I’m living for baby daddy Touya omg. Im so curious tho. Like we can see that he’s trying so hard to do right by his daughter but obviously he still is deep into crime and everything. Why does reader let him see their daughter if they know what he does. Maybe they don’t know?
Your daughter is sleeping, so the fight is quiet. It bubbles, thick and volatile, just as emotionally draining as any screaming match. In fact, the hushed tones are almost worse because every word feels careful, planned and thoughtful.
"You're not keeping me away from my own damn kid." Touya spits, eyes narrowed in disgust. He's standing on the shredded legal papers you handed him, asking him to sign away parental rights. "She's my kid."
"She's our child." you shoot back, "And you're barely in her life."
"And who's fault is that?" he scoffs, then scoffs again, twisting his dirty heel into the paper once again and leaving a track mark upon them, "Because it's not mine. I'd be here every damn day if you would just-"
"You know why you can't be!"
"Holy shit," Touya runs his hands through his hair so hard that it pulls his forehead taut, "There's plenty of people beggin' their baby daddies to be more involved and yet you're pushing yours away! What is your fuckin' problem?"
"I'm trying to protect her."
"Protect her? Protect her? From what? Me?"
"Yes!" your voice cracks, so you turn in your heel to hide your expression. Touya's boot thud closer as you retreat, going no where and anywhere, "From you and the shit you do and the people you work with and the fucking consequences of everything-"
"Listen- listen!" Touya catches you by the wrist and jerks you back to him hard, slamming you back into his chest. When you squirm in his grasp, he holds on tighter, free arm slipping around your waist to keep you in place, visibly seething. "Fuckin' cool it for one goddamn second."
He waits until you stop fussing to continue, head dipped low enough your noses touch. The anger has drained from his face, replaced with an eerily calm expression.
"I love her," he whispers, "Fuck, I love her even more than I even love you, so if you think I would ever do anything to put her in harm's way- you're wrong."
Touya's bangs tickle against your forehead and his breath is soft against your lips. The down-turned lid of his eyes, heavy with sincerity. "She's our baby."
Your chest expands with every pant, ears ringing with the pressure of stress, thrumming through your head. "Tell me you're done."
"What?" He draws back slightly.
"Tell me you're done with breaking the law. Tell me you're not going to get involved in that shit anymore." Despite yourself, you cling to him. The shape of him under your palms is painfully familiar: a reminder that he was once yours without conditions, "Tell me you're going to behave like a good, normal dad, Touya."
It takes a moment before he responds. "Yeah. I'm done."
"Say it like you mean it." you plead, whisper breathless and fragile, "At least make me believe it when you lie."
"I'm done." Touya pulls you closer, "I'm done."
You don't believe him. Not fully. "You'd break her heart if anything ever happened to you."
"I know."
"Tell me one more time."
"I'm done. For her." His hands are warm on your hips, "For you. I'm done for good."
His words are sweet enough that you swallow them down without question. You know better-- you know him, but you let him fool you anyway. "Okay."
Touya folds over you, head in your shoulder as he sighs with relief, but his touch is still horribly tight. "Don't you ever pull that shit again. Don't ever threaten to take my babies away again."
"Babies?"
"Yeah," he grumbles into your skin, "You're my baby too. Don't forget it."

OKAY hear me out but touya WITH a job getting ready at your cute vanity and pink room. struggling to put up his cargo pants/ slacks with the belt, while running over to get his coat off of the fuzzy pink chair in the corner. he's forced to fix his hair and check if his face looks the least presentable in your mirror filled with polaroids before he goes out and it's SO funny to watch him do that omg. i'm gonna die
(pt. i!)
WAHHH mismatched socks, the elastic of his calvin kleins (that u bought him) peeking out at his backside; he nearly trips over his work bag that's waiting for him on the floor and practically slides right into your full-length mirror--you're really rooting for him and even though he wouldnt say it, he'd try to strangle himself if he lost his job for being late just one too many times--because he's rushing to get out the door.
you can hear him from the kitchen where you're putting together lunches (not for him specifically, but because you already make something for yourself, you might as well...you're welcome, touya), AND YES IT'S SO HARD not to laugh when the door bursts open and he's looking like a little fool with his black and white hair actually combed down and smudges around his eyes from trying + failing to get your eyeliner off of him.
(also, did he use your hairspray that was sitting on your vanity? maybe. okay, yes. though it's no surprise he knows where everything you own is lmfao)
he stills refuses to let you put things in a lunch box, but no way in HELL he's not shoving the wrapped sandwich and bento full of fruit into his bag before !!! kissing you goodbye!!!
it's truly like a dream come true 'coz even though part of him feels like a DOG having to work for the man, making you happy is what MAKES HIM HAPPY and being able to fill your (and now! his) room with more cute and pink things is his new favorite hobby...
(and even though he blushes like hell doing it, the next lunch date he's picking you up from, he's paying the whole table's bill in CASH and not taking no for an answer. makes him feel the best he has in a while. even though he's still eating everyone's leftovers lmao.)
slay the house down HOUSTON I'M DECEASED!!!!

Idk what to tell to the people who still don't get that although is okay to teach kids the rules to live in a society (like respect others or don't kill or whatever), Kotaro Shimura, Enji Todoroki and Toga's parents didn't care as much for society rules as they care for the rules that made them feel okay at home.
Which in the end caused the main villain trio to reject authority and society and turn into violence, since they did try to use words as kids and were royally ignored.
Tenko, Touya and Toga tried very hard to be good kids, but in their parents conception it was not enough 'cause they couldn't repress some of their needs: they wanted their dads and moms to accept them as they were, to accept who they wanted to be, to accept the way they expressed love and accept the way they interacted with their surroundings.
In Tenko's case, Kotaro was unable to accept his kid desire to become a hero. His could be the worst case in bnha, given the violence of his tragedy and how misfortune (maybe even something else) played on it ending so badly. Tomura himself said that house rejected his very identity, even tho Hana tried to support him in secret and Nao stood up for him, little too late. For what we saw of him as a child, his only defect as a son was wanting to be a pro-hero, dream that got him beaten up for, grounded in a rather cruelly manner. Kotaro's trauma turned him into an irrational man, his hatred for heroes was both the build up and the catalysis of the tragedy that ended the lives of the people he loved the most.
Tenko didn't become a villain because he was an evil kid. He became a villain because AFO wanting it so and because Kotaro inculcated in him such extreme hatred.
In Touya's case, it's a bit more complicated. I don't believe Enji's obsession was completely evil in nature, although his actions were truly selfish and it became later abusive, when his desperation blinded him to the point he was unable to understand how bad he has turned out to be. Like in Tenko's case, the mother is at fault only in yhe sense that their lack of intervention allowed the situation to escalate 'til they couldn't prevent it anymore. Touya's case differentiates itself in the fact that he was older than Tenko, his behavior declining over the years into extreme violence, unlike the way Tenko exploded in murder glee when Kotaro hit him one last time.
The lack of proper attention from both Enji and Rei allowed Touya's behavior to become a tragedy. Their negligence, Enji's focus on his work and Shouto (as a project not a son) and Rei's role of a caretaker yet not a mother, combined with the incapacity of Natsuo and Fuyumi to understand what Touya was going through (really, only Shouto could, but at that point Touya hated him too much and Shouto was way too young)... Well, it didn't end well for a kid that didn't want help anymore but attention on his own terms. He was tired of adapting, the same way Tenko rebelled in his insistence of acting the hero way.
The same house rule ( YOU CANNOT BE A HERO ) sent them both to AFO's hands, one way or another. They were kids who couldn't act the way their dads wanted, so fuck them I guess.
That part is compatible to Toga's case. Kinda.
Toga's parents are by far the most twisted of the bunch, which is a lot to say considering that Kotaro hit his kids and Enji even hit his wife. Yet, without having to touch a single hair of their little girl, they inflicted damage so deep she preferred to become a runaway criminal than to stay at home one more day.
At least Kotaro and Enji valued at some level Tenko and Touya's existence. Toga's parents didn't care about her at all. She was as good as a broken doll, an imperfect piece of their furniture, something they wish wasn't related to them at all. Enji was at least worry about his son and he loved him at some degree, the same way Kotaro worry over Tenko was born out of his fear of losing his family. Nothing of it excuses what they do and let it be said that Enji and Kotaro did saw Touya and Tenko as monsters at some point (when Touya tried to kill Shouto and on his Dabi era, when Tenko killed his family and turned to Kotaro). Yet it doesn't compare to the way Toga's parents immediately erased her from their lives, even denying any affiliation. They sent her to that therapy like a car needing to be repaired. She was a sign of status, she was an object that they failed to produce, she was an aberration and a freak, she deserved to be put down.
From the three od them, Toga was the one who struggled the most to fit in socially, not to society standards tho. To her parents.
If all these parents had cared for their kids more than they cared for his own stupid rules maybe things would have been different. But that's the core of their problems, they don't need the whole world to accept them, they need to treat the internalized traumas their parents left them with, the self-hatred and the feeling of inadequacy and the need for acceptance (of themselves) and recognition.
That's why Toga, Izuku and Shouto are the key for their recovery. Acting as mirrors, they are meant to provide the closure the villain trio desperately need. It's not just a sibling or a nemesis bond, but a recognition of the self through the other situation.
If they can accept themselves and correct their ways and get free from their parents absurd rules, if they can move past the child need for their parents validation, maybe they can finally exist in a less painful way.

warm-ups | todoroki + sfw + kick
✭ wc ; 851 | ✭ tags ; established relationship, mentions of childhood trauma, swinging lol, gn!reader, fluff
✭ a/n ; had to be a little clever w this one
Tumblr media
"Wait, baby," Todoroki carefully watches your expression as you pinch the bridge of your nose "Are you saying you've never been on a swing before"
He pauses.
"If I have, I don't recall."
This tidbit of information seems to cause you distress for a reason Todoroki isn't completely able to identify. This happens sometimes, where he'll tell you about some innocuous part of his life and you react with a great big sigh.
He can normally understand it after it's explained, or if he thinks about it a little longer. This time, he has no idea which part of his sentence seems to be causing you trouble.
"I really hate your old man, Shou," You say, voice melancholy but light at the same time. He thinks you're trying to cheer him up. He appreciates it "Can't wait till Touya is done serving time,"
Todoroki doesn't know what to make of that. He hums.
"Is it that bad?" He asks. You shake your head, and reach for his hands with yours. He's quick to hold it, envelop it and draw patterns in your palms.
"Not bad. It's just like...sometimes it makes me feel like I took a lot for granted."
"Your childhood wasn't easy either," He points out. And you laugh.
"No, no I guess not. But at least I got to live it,"
Ah. Todoroki is starting to understand.
"I'm okay," He says, trying to reassure you. You smile at him but it hasn't changed at all.
"I know, sweet thing." You say, and the sound of your voice makes his heart race. For a while you sit like that, on a park bench in an empty park. It's cold but Shouto keeps both your hands warm as you sit on the heated side. He isn't sure how to approach things like this.
"Shou, baby," You start as he turns his head to look at you, tilted to one side "Can I teach you to swing?"
Todoroki blinks at you like he's trying to decipher his sentence.
"Teach me to swing?" He parrots. You nod enthusiastically, jutting your chin at the empty swings. He stares at them then stares back at you.
"Yeah. It'll be fun." You say, not forcing him. He doesn't have any reason to say no, so he nods. He mostly says because it makes you brighten up, a joy returning to your expression he found himself missing until just now.
You grab his hand and pull him up, tugging him behind you as you approach the swings. Todoroki walks at your pace, the crunch of the mulch under his boots noisy as he approaches. You drop his hand and go behind the swing, gesturing to him.
"C'mon. Sit," You say. Todoroki sits in the swing, the weight of his body causing tension in the buckles. He can feel the metal ridges of the chain press lightly into the skin - but surprisingly he fits. It's a little snug, but he feels like it's holding up his weight just fine.
His feet touch the floor completely, maybe too tall. You stand behind him, hands on his shoulders. Todoroki looks over his shoulder to try and see you.
"Okay. I'm gonna give you a little push at first okay," You say, placing your hands on his waist with a little smile. Todoroki likes how your hands feel "And when you're back - kick your legs back. And when you're swinging forward, kick your legs in front of you. Sounds easy enough right?"
He nods. It does sound easy.
"Okay. Ready," He says, and you giggle. Delighted. It's a little effort for you to push him, a soft grunt leaving your mouth as you push him forward.
Then he's swinging. The motion starts slight - an easy back and forth like the waving of a flag. But Todoroki remembers your words, listening to your encouragement. It's a pendulum. He can feel the momentum of his body shift as he kicks backwards, how there's more weight when he swings forward.
Then he's higher than before, he can feel himself going higher. He didn't realize his eyes had been closed until he opens them again. Over and over, he does it until he's reaching close to the sun. Todoroki can see the white sun in the sky, winter oncoming. He can feel the cold air all over his body, frost in his fingers
But something inside is melting. Warmth is settling over his body as he starts to reach a high summit, the tension of his body making full use of the movement. He's never seen the sky so clear before.
"Shou," You say, your phone in hand and so much love in your voice it's tangible "Is it fun?!" You shout, enthusiasm in it like never before. In that carefree and ridiculous way you so easily embody.
He wonders why he wants to shout too, but he doesn't fight it. He giggles, so soft it's easy to miss. He opens his eyes to look at the sun. He looks at you.
"Yes," He shouts back, intonation flat but smiling "It's fun."

Hey beautiful!
I was reading through some of your works and saw you wrote for bnha! If youre comfortable with it could you maybe write romantic headcannons when shigaraki or dabi go to a cafe and all the other waiters are terrified of them but reader walks up to them, is kind, makes conversation and even gives them free food to make up for how the others treat them and overtime dabi or shigaraki fall in love with them from their kindness?
i hope this isnt to confusing and thank you if you do it!
im so sorry this took wayyyy too long🫠🫠🫠💀 hahaha funny villain mans go 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️ round my brain
⇢ Dabi, Shigiraki (seperate) x Gn! Reader
⇢Warnings; ooc characters lol, Gn! reader
Tumblr media
Dabi | Touya Todoroki
Dabi doesn’t care. At absolute most, he’d find it a bit funny that you act almost you don’t know who he is
Thinks that you’re either incredibly brave or outstandingly stupid when you act all kind towards him cus he, everybody else, and probably you knows that he will burn down everything here if he feels like it
If you give him free food, then he makes sure to always stop by when he knows you’re working
oh? how he knows when you’re working? lmao you’re so funny
Tbh he doesn’t care about you, so its mostly the food that keeps him coming, the cute waiter that brings said food is only a fun bonus to him
Takes a long while to grow a crush, or at least acknowledge it, due to the simple fact he’s gonna hold off on ever admitting that what? his heart skipped a beat? that he totally has thought of kissing you? haha.. ha….
This man is emotionally constipated and even if he wasn’t, dabi would rather die than ever admit that to you in any way that doesn’t leave you extremely confused so you’d have to confess first if you want any to happen

Tomura Shigiraki
Also doesn’t care but is equally as interested in having a (as he’d call you) a “fan”
Knows that you’re not actually a fan, and is most likely scared out of wits end when you go to hand him his drink and freeze when he suddenly grabs your wrist as everyone watches in horror
one finger and the fact that Shigiraki was curious was the only thing that really saved you and your wrist
He would leave and it wouldn’t be until a few visits later, when he hasn’t tried anything and you’ve forgotten he’s a literal villain cus you got used to having to serve him, that he takes an interest
Childishly demands that you sit with him, and the manager on duty thats coming up to scold you for lazing around with the customers is stopped in her tracks when Shigiraki looks at her and nonverbally dares her to do anything
His… everything isn’t very sociable or welcoming, and when he’s seated where everyone can see, it isn’t very good for business
If he’s ever not doing anything, he’ll stalk around the café while staring at you
it’s probably okay, he just doesn’t want creeps creeping on you (while not acknowledging that he’s creeping on you)
talks to you about his video games and asks if you know them
asks for your game ID if you happen to play👉👈🥺

Ok, bc I loved the kissing hc so much, I'm requesting them again! This time with Tomura and Touya (separately) please 🥰 super fluffy kisses, as suggestive as you'd like!
Thanks in advance!
The previous version with heroes can be found here. I really enjoyed writing those and these ones as well. I’ve got some weird thing with never tagging any of my Dabi stuff with “Touya Todoroki”, unless it’s the high school AU, because I sort of see his younger self as a separate person, and “Dabi” as his own person, which is who he is now. I just wasn’t sure if you meant Dabi as he is now, or Touya as he could’ve been, but I went with Dabi. I overthink these things way too much but I just thought I’d explain my thought process. Also I would like to add that I do very much think that neither of these guys is very capable of being in a healthy relationship
~Dabi~
•Dabi does enjoy kissing you but he also enjoys annoying other people when he does it
•He will full on french kiss you in front of people just to annoy them
•Also he’s a possessive bastard, so he leaves hickeys and marks on you all the time, that includes some slight burn marks
•He’s a bully and a tease, and loves suddenly just biting your lip while you’re kissing
•Sometimes he does it hard enough to actually break the skin on your lip
•Every now and then you get pretty hot and heavy with the making out, and Dabi just stops, pushes you off his lap onto the couch/bed/floor/whatever and leaves
•He always smirks and looks back at you, and you’re just looking at him with a very frustrated expression, and he returns pretty soon after, and you continue making out and such
•Dabi loves kissing you everywhere, especially in places that gets a stronger reaction out of you, like your upper inner thigh, and your chest
•After a good time together, you’re always covered in bite marks, hickeys and slight burn marks
•Like I said, he’s a possessive bastard, and he likes to make sure others know you’ve got a partner
•Dabi doesn’t really like it if you kiss his burns, where his staples are is fine, and the unburnt skin of course, but not the burns
•It’s not because it hurts him, at least not enough for him to care, but he just doesn’t really like you doing it
•He can get pretty demanding sometimes, and he just comes up behind you and starts kissing your neck and shoulders, before turning you around and starting to kiss you on the lips
•He does respect it when you say no, or when you show him you’re not really feeling it, but he can be a bit bitchy about it
~Shigaraki Tomura~
•Tomura is a bit of a crusty guy as we know, and when you started messing around together, he was pretty insecure about it
•Of course he wouldn’t know to call it that, because he absolutely sucks at categorizing/recognizing his feelings, but he did know it made him uncomfortable when you wanted to kiss him
•It’s not because he didn’t want to kiss you, he really did, and one time he was just like “fuck it” and stopped thinking about it and the two of you made out for like ten minutes, before he decided that was enough for one time
•He can’t stop thinking about your lips on his for like days after that
•Tomura really enjoys kissing you once he gets a taste of it and he’s doing it all the time, maybe just in passing, maybe pulling you close and kissing you deeply
•He might just walk up behind you and start kissing on your neck, hoping the situation escalates in a favorable direction for him
•He does have occasional periods of time he just isn’t feeling it at all, or at least he doesn’t initiate it himself
•If you start doing something, he’s usually down for it, and if he isn’t he will let you know with a pretty annoyed tone
•I was going to say he doesn’t have any shame, but it’s more about the fact that he couldn’t care less if someone sees him making out with you
•As long as you’re okay with it too though
•He can get really annoyed and bitchy about it when you tell him no, but he does respect it when you don’t feel like doing something

anonymous said: Love love love your Us series! I wanted to know if y/n would ever go out and get back at keigo/touya by sleeping with someone else? Especially after they just continue to hurt her on purpose when they found out about the drugs. (From the prev dabbles)
note: the reader in the main series wouldn’t go through with it but let’s explore anyway if she at least attempted to (¬‿¬ ) this takes place just right after the reader leaves the bathroom in pt 2 but she and keigo don’t speak in the bathroom to make up
pt 1 / pt 2
warnings: infidelity, drug use, angst
Tumblr media
“Fine. I was checking on you, but you don’t want me.”
You turn away quickly from him Keigo, leaving him behind and keeping in a cry when you hear him drag the girl he was with into the bathroom. Touya was already cruel enough to point out that Keigo had gone out of sight for quite a while. You’re not stupid; they’re both giving you payback.
I didn’t even fuck anyone! You loudly scream in your head.
But now you were wanting to.
It’s a horrible cycle that you are participating in but it’s just not fair that they can do this to you. You can’t stand the fact that they had to take it a step further to make you feel bad. You never even wanted Shigaraki for more than just a plug! It was mostly about drugs!
All you wanted was more drugs so that you would stop feeling so bad over them!
Why wasn’t you crying and apologizing enough for them?
Fuck returning to Touya and fuck Keigo for being the same cheating piece of shit.
It’s almost reminiscent of the very first party Touya took you to. You’re upset as you snag a bottle off the liquor table and disappear to the upstairs of this stupid house. On the way with the bottle, you spot a lonely young man nursing a red cup in his hand; he looks meek. You think he’ll do.
“Hey,” you approach him and don’t really care the way he jerks in surprise, “do you think I’m cute?”
You’re given a once over and his face flushes before answering, “Yeah. I think you’re-“
“Okay, come with me.” you’re pulling him with your free hand to a room at the end of the hallway. He’s sputtering behind you but you don’t really have a care as you take charge of pushing him into the bedroom. The door locks and you take off the cap off the bottle to drink straight from the lip.
Ugh, whiskey.
Just like the first time too.
The young man still holds his red cup and you don’t even bother to ask if he’d like any. Whiskey pours into the plastic, mixing with whatever alcohol he was nursing. Being a little drunk will be necessary to go through with this. Maybe also a little sniff too.
You sit close to a bedside table and lay your phone face up, pulling the cocaine from your pocket. It doesn’t occur to you that you do it without having a second thought at this point. To be able to get through your hard moments and when you need to collect yourself, coke had always done a better job of comforting you these days. You cut a line neatly before looking over to your company and offering him one as well, “You want? It’s good.”
He politely declines and he’s wary as you make a second one anyway. You inhale both of them and now you’re a little more sure of yourself. The numbness from when you gummed earlier in the bathroom is starting to wear off so you collect coke off your phone screen to numb the inside of your lip again.
“Drink.” You tell the young man as you raise the whiskey bottle to your lips. He obeys and you realize that this is the first time in a while you’ve had a guy ever listen to you. No questions or anything, just immediate obedience.
It felt… different.
Actually not different. Maybe a little familiar…
The whiskey burns down your throat and it’s not a pleasant taste with the drip at the back of your throat.
You pat the edge of the bed in indication for him to join you. Again, with no question or complaint, he does as told and sits right next to you. “I’m really mad,” you say out loud, “and I wanna do something about it.”
“Oh um… I’m sorry you’re mad.” he tells you with uncertainty of what his part is.
Already the alcohol makes you a little loose in your mind and you think this is a good idea to follow through with. You take another shot for courage before settling the bottle down on the floor and taking his cup from your hands. “You ever go down on a girl?” You ask him as you swirl the liquid in the red cup. He face flushes but he nods his head.
Silently you open your legs, your eyes flicking down to the space in between.
“You know, I think you’re drunk-“
You raise a finger to his lips to hush him, “I won’t ask a second time.”
There is something very different about ordering someone else around and being given what you want. It’s satisfying when he does as told, going on his knees before you and kissing along the inside of your thighs first. You lean back slightly, letting one hand to support your weight while you sip at the red cup. “Tell me I’m pretty.”
“You’re pretty… really pretty.” He whispers against your skin  before pushing your dress over your thighs. “You’re… you’re really hot.”
Your eyes flutter and you feel the coke in your brain now. It swims in your veins along with the whiskey. Your panties are pulled to the side and despite him being so shy initially, you gasp as you’re eaten out so sloppily.
He tongues at your clit and licks you up and down with enthusiasm that you wouldn’t have expected. A quiet fuck is gasped out by you and for a moment, you’re exhilarated. For a moment, you enjoy the talented tongue of a stranger on your pussy. For a moment, you forget how mad you were at Keigo-
But then you feel a soft bite to the inside of your thigh, lips closing around the skin and a soft sucking. It feels good and you think to let it happen but then you realize something. That even if you were to lord it over Touya or Keigo that you fucked someone back, you wouldn’t be able to keep this guy’s identity a secret. He’s innocent and unknowing of anything about you, just thinks you’re a random cute girl he’s getting lucky with. Because knowing your boys, they would find out who no matter what.
Touya’s already beat two men up over you, both way more than he really should have and you felt incredibly guilty when it happened both times.
They’d definitely hurt this poor guy.
You don’t want to do this after all.
“Don’t! Stop!” You jerk back and the red cup fumbles out of your hand. Whiskey spills all over you and all over the young man in front of you. You fumble apologies now that you realize what you’re doing. “I’m sorry! I don’t—I don’t want to anymore!”
He’s flustered too and he looks sorry, as if he thinks he had done something wrong.
Looks like you can’t give them a taste of their own medicine and a part of you is very upset over this fact. But you’re also too considerate to drag anyone innocent into your fucked up relationship with boyfriends.
Honestly, it is irritating that they don’t give the same courtesy to you. You’re upset because you feel guilty for attempting to cheat back and equally upset that you just can’t go through with it.
“Did I do something wrong? Did I not do it right?” He starts to ask.
“No! No, you’re actually good. Really good, truthfully.” you give him a genuine compliment over his performance, “I just can’t. My boyfriends would kill me.”
“Boyfriends? Plural?” He asks but the door knocks, and the both of you jerk in surprise.
“(Name)! Are you in there?”
Oh fuck! Oh fuck! It’s Touya!
You try to think quickly, looking around the room for any hiding spot. Whether for himself or you, you’re not sure yet. All there is a closet so you take the red cup and shove it in the guy’s hand, aggressively pointing to the closet for him to hide in, and again, he listens with no argument. Touya pounds on the door a few times and the lock starts to jiggle.
You take the whiskey bottle for one last big swig before placing the cap back on it.
The door swings open, a dent in the middle of the wood from Touya’s boot, and your boyfriends enter the room.
“Fucking hell! You had us worried and searching every goddamn room in this house!” Touya barks at you but you see that he’s more relieved than angry. His eyes naturally draw to your phone and the cocaine out on the table and he sighs to himself. “What did I say about-“
You burst into tears, audibly sobbing and holding the whiskey bottle close to your chest. Now the whiskey hits you and the guilt hits you even harder. Maybe you’re not really cut out for being a cheater. You want to hurt them back in the same way they hurt you but you just can’t.
It makes you feel so pathetic.
“Hey, hey… don’t cry dove. Is this about downstairs?” Keigo asks as he kneels down in front of you, “Look, nothing happened. I didn’t do anything-“
“Don’t lie to me! I already know you did!” You cry in between hiccups, “Just go away!”
He attempts to soothe you again but with no real apology attached to his words, “Hey, we won’t do that shit again as long as you don’t hide anything from us anymore. We only did because you lied to us first and it really hurt us.”
Touya pries the bottle out of your hands and pushes off your arms when you try to reach for it. “You’re drunk and you reek of whiskey. I can smell it all over you. We’re taking you home.”
A part of you wants to put up a fight just to be stubborn but the smarter part knows that you should leave right away. That poor guy is still in the closet and you’re embarrassed that you even tried to cheat back in revenge in the first place.
So you stay quiet as you’re led out of the bedroom and choose to not look back. You walk behind Touya and Keigo, quickly adjusting your panties underneath your dress and trying to keep your head down as you walk out the party.
You shower alone and inspect your body as you clean yourself. There’s a small hickey on the inside of your thigh from your attempt in the bedroom. You wish that more had happened, that you had gotten more guts to go through with it. You’re also grateful that nothing happened more than that.
Still though, they got to hurt you in the way they wanted and you…
You just have to take it.

end notes: including my extra tags - also wanted to show case how the reader actually interacts with another man / cuz obviously when it comes to the boys she’s only submissive at this point / it wasn’t just her being drunk in the scene it was actually the old version of her that came out for a bit / pt 1 reader had a little more spine so i just wanted to bring her back for a hot minute

So my man what do you think of how bnha act 3 has treated the villains so far?
I think it's going exactly the way the story hinted it would. No surprises there.
In terms of narrative, people should give Horikoshi his flowers. MHA might not be as flashy as other mangas, but Horikoshi keeps it consistent and to the point. I'm glad that he doesn't sacrifice the writing of a plotline in order to create flashier or more action based fights. I'm also glad he's been with the villains' ideologies and their reasons to do what they do.
It's funny, the hero side might be the one who's more surprised with the current outcome of the final showdown. You have moments like Ochako risking it all for Toga, which is a dream come true for villain fans yet might be hard to process for other people. I'm personally satisfied with how the author treated the Enji and Dabi plotline, because in the end it was not Shoto who alone could do a miracle. A bit of a "family issues must be solved by the whole family" opinion, but I'm glad to see Rei, Natsuo and Fuyumi getting involved. They all had the spotlight in a heartwarming moment to stop and help Touya. They all took responsibility for their role in what happened to their family.
So far, so good.
To be honest, my perception is that Horikoshi has great respect for some of his villain characters. He has so far dedicated a lot of the story to Tomura alone, to his connection with Izuku. At least when it comes to the League, sacrifices are not simply plot twists, you know? They held meaning, they're respectful to the character.
I can't say the same for other antagonists and villains, tho. It's understandable, those secondary characters won't receive as much screen time and that's okay. It's just a bit sad to think that some of them have a lot of potential, but the story keeps them backstage. I certainly miss seeing some of the members of the Meta Liberation Army, for example. I loved the implications of corruption of power in the hero society. I miss Lady Nagant too, I can't wait to see her reaction to knowing that AFO is finally dead. Right now I wonder what the hell Horikoshi had planned for Hawks, lol. Every time I think his plotline is getting kickstarted, it runs for a second before stopping again. If he's there it's because there are unfinished businesses with him, maybe we will finally get a resolution on his connection with Toga and his past with Twice, but that's for later.
I have faith in Horikoshi, I guess. He has shown us that he does what the story demands and doesn't change the course of it for the public as much as other mangakas do. That is what movies are for.
I'm sure we'll see Spinner and Compress again, but most of all I'm curious worried about Kurogiri. I insist that the resolution between Kurogiri and Aizawa and Yamada will wreck me. In my wildest dreams I see Kurogiri begin for Tomura's life aka to save him, to give him a chance. I saw Aizawa's face when he heard Kurogiri talk about Tomura. He knew it was not only an order, but also a part of Oboro still alive. Oboro would do anything to help someone in danger, he'd pick any stray cat, give his life for anyone. I'm on the edge of my seat with that trio. Teachers on opposite sides of the war, once friends. Don't even get me going about Yamada and Kurogiri. Whenever I think of Mic and his role in that situation, it's pure torture.
If you ask me, I'm getting what I wanted. Act 3 has been great. It got a little boring for me when the whole focus was fighting AFO (I don't know why, maybe AFO is just not my favorite character to focus on). The rest? Amazing. Beautiful panels and drawing style, emotional instances that reveal the heart of the villains, their determination and dreams were respected, they got treated for once as real humans and not just villains... I'm behaving like a total kid with what is happening with Deku and Tomura in the 415 chapter.
Now, post-battle is another matter. We will cross that bridge when we get there, but they must be all alive and well or I'm ending what the League started and taking this whole world down with me (I'm not exaggerating at all haha why you ask?)

I just read your Fuyumi character analysis and it made me see her in a totally different light. I was one of the people that thought she was easily forgiving her father and forcing her siblings to do the same but after reading your analysis I realized that was wrong. I see now that she isn’t selfish as I first thought. I can see that her actions are more of defense and self preservation than forgiveness and it made me feel some sort of appreciation for her struggles and her love for her siblings.
So I wanted to ask if you had a Rei character analysis because I would love to read it. Your analysis are awesome.
Hi! Thank you for taking the time to read my Fuyumi post. I’m pleased to hear you found it an interesting read, and I can only be glad if it gave you some food for thought on a character I love so much :’)
To answer your question, I haven’t written anything extensive on Rei yet, and certainly not anything solely focused on her. Because of how little screen time she gets, I find it much harder to get a cohesive read of her goals and motivations. Her lack of backstory and internal narration leave a lot of unanswered questions. But I wanted to thank you for asking about her anyway, because your ask gave me a push to try and get something together. It won’t be as thorough as my other todofam meta, and it will contain a lot of guessing, but I’m putting it out there anyway. Maybe I’ll add more to it later on, if we ever get some more info on her.
On Rei, and the double-edged sword of Choices
As the title prefaces, Rei puts a lot of importance on making your own choices. Despite the fact that she’s often depicted as having little agency, a core belief of hers seems to be that even when your options are limited, you can make the most of them and find happiness by confidently choosing your path forward, and sticking to it through the end.
[more under the cut]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s because of this mindset that she’s able to see marrying Enji as her own informed choice. From her perspective, she didn’t agree to it because of external pressure from her family, but rather because Rei wanted this for the Himuras’ sake. Now, whether this is entirely true or not, and she was “sold off” for money and prestige like Touya says, we don’t know for sure. But for the purpose of this speculation, it's not really important to determine whose choice the arranged marriage really was; what matters is that Rei thinks she walked into it by her free will.
Tumblr media
What she says to Shouto here (read right to left) gives us a little more insight. This is her response to Shouto's fear that his circumstances (=being trained by a cruel person) will dictate the outcome of his actions.
Essentially, Shouto's scared of going along with Enji's will, because he doesn't want Enji to make him into the type of hero who hurts others. And Rei steps in and tells him, "it's okay, you wouldn't end up like that, because being a hero is something you want for yourself, not just to crown Enji's aspirations. You wouldn’t be a puppet in his hands that does what he wants, but your own person pursuing your own goals. Keep your eyes firmly set on the man you want to become, and you will get there."
Envisioning the future you want to achieve is the crucial part here. When the proposal of an arranged marriage was on the table, Rei tells us she didn't have many options in front of her. In that sense, she too was limited by her circumstances and by her blood. But she agreed to it, and I quote, "hoping, if nothing else, that [she] would keep smiling." In other words, Rei might not have wanted to marry Enji, per se, but maybe she wasn't as opposed to the idea of making a family of her own. A part of her thought she'd still find happiness (maybe even fulfillment) as a wife and a mother.
And at least at the beginning, I think she might've been, too. Happy, that is. At the very least, she loved her children. Back then, Enji was still an… okay father. He planned to live vicariously through his children, and that's not the ideal mindset behind having a child, but he had yet to act on it; the family dynamics weren't as tense and toxic as they become the longer he went without achieving his ambitions. Fuyumi's birth wasn't planned as a replacement like her younger siblings, a demand from a man obsessed with his goals. It was Rei’s idea to conceive her, to give little Touya a sibling close in age so that they could support each other.
What this tells us is that even if Rei knew she was expected to bear Enji’s children, up to that point, she still had a vision of a future where her kids were healthy and fulfilled, and Rei too, with them. Thus, she actively took the initiative to make the family a happy nest despite the not so happy circumstances behind the union itself.
Then Enji starts growing more and more obsessed with an heir, and Rei starts properly fearing her husband.
This is where things get complicated, and also when Rei betrays her beliefs. As I went over, she puts a lot of weight into making your own choices, but when Enji’s temper gets worse and worse and he stops asking, Rei begins surrendering to his will. This, despite knowing how Touya will see right through the intent behind Natsuo’s conception, and realize they are finally replacing him.
To her credit, Rei does attempt to protest, to stand her ground. She’s not unkind, and she doesn’t want to cause unjust suffering to her kid. She's aware that being replaced will crush him, and that knowing so and persisting anyway is cruel of them. But for someone who values choices so much, she chooses to stay. She could’ve walked away with the kids and gotten out of dodge. That wouldn’t have stopped Enji, of course, he could’ve gotten married again, but she wouldn’t have been an accomplice.
I want to make clear that this is not me condemning her for being too scared to oppose Enji in any substantial way. It’s the story itself that draws attention to this. Touya spells out her complicity, and it’s something we are asked to take notice of. Despite trying her best, Rei is depicted as a flawed mother who made mistakes as well, particularly in raising Touya.
Tumblr media
It’s subtle, but it’s there, and this line here is particularly telling. We know that Touya pushes back against the idea that Rei had the option to say no to marrying Enji. Since she was poor, and her family needed it, Touya states that she only had the illusion of a choice. Agreeing to it was an inevitability. Like training until he can be stronger than All Might was inevitable for him, too.
Now, Touya thinks of it that way because has a sharply different mindset than her. From his perspective, both him and his mother have no other options than to perform the role they’re thrown into. While Rei thinks she’s responsible for her decisions, Touya reckons there was only ever one path in front of her (and him), aka that of bearing the burden of one's legacy. By being born into an impoverished family that used to have prestige and power, Rei’s destiny was already written for her. Just like how, by being born as Endvr’s son, Touya’s fate was already decided as well. This fits into his idea of predestination, of the straight or warped tracks he mentions to Shouto.
So Touya frames Rei as someone lacking agency, someone who cannot change the tracks of her life. He does it to make a point about himself, to state that doesn’t have any alternatives, either. But his word choice happens to be… brutally ironic.
When he says “you had no choice” in the panel above, in Japanese he’s echoing his dad.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Specifically, he’s echoing Enji when he said he “had no choice but” to have more children. Nominally, to make Touya stop training in secret. In truth, to have a more suitable heir who could beat All Might.
I'm not sure if Touya's wording itself is intended as a callback, but the fact that he accuses Rei of "being guilty too" in that same scene makes me think we're supposed to think of it anyway.
We know that somewhere after Touya snapped at Rei here, she had just as much of a hard time facing him as her husband did. The given reason is that she sees Enji in her children, and her fear paralyzes her and makes her slip away a little more every day, until her eventual breaking point. But I think that there was another component at play here: guilt.
If we assume that in that moment Rei was thinking of Enji's stubbornness—as it's hinted at by her equating their narrowed, angry eyes—then Touya's words might've hit a nerve there.
Tumblr media
Mind you, this is very much unconfirmed, so I could be completely wrong about it. But notice how it's only after Enji mentions All Might that she drops all protests. Before, the topic was Touya's wellbeing, and the morality of inflicting this onto an innocent child who just wanted his father's attention. But the second Rei is abruptly reminded of the reason behind this contract between her and Enji, the goal of producing a fitting heir who will beat his rival, we see her expression shift. She's no longer frantic, she's stricken. A bead of sweat rolls down her face, like she's digesting this. Realizing what it means, what will happen.
Of course, we could attribute this to fear; she could be seeing Enji's true colors for the first time, or realizing that nothing she can say will ever stop him. That has been my interpretation so far. But what if there was more?
What if she felt pressured, similarly to how she might've felt pressured by the Himuras' circumstances, and ended up folding and defaulting to do what was expected of her as a result? And then calling it her decision, despite how it’s clearly not what she wanted?
Psychologically, it would make sense. It's not too hard to make the jump from "I walked into this myself. It was my choice" to "I chose this life. It is on me. I can't pretend I didn't know what my role in it would be, and I have to play it."
If Rei fell for that kind of reasoning, maybe even subconsciously, it could help make sense of why, despite witnessing the worsening of the abuse and of her own mental state, she clings to her hope of eventual happiness for years. Or why, despite having been complicit in punishing Touya with two more replacements, she still doubles down on her belief about the importance of choices, enough so that she passes it down to Shouto. Like allowing Touya to be hurt like that wasn't also a deliberate act; she took part in it knowing the harm that would follow, so ethically speaking, she can't hide behind a lack of better alternatives. She can't deny ownership of her actions by claiming she was blinded by foolishness, like Enji later does. That, too, was a choice, but since Rei cannot bear this weight, I think she coped with it by telling herself it was part of her duty, of her role, and thus accepted it as an inevitability, too. Something that she surrendered to because her "options were limited" to quote her rationalizing of things. It would be a defense mechanism of sorts.
If a part of her justifies what they did as part of her marital contract, then she can frame it as something she had to endure for the sake of her family, too. In the process, she can avoid the guilt attached.
But when Touya calls this out, she cracks, face stricken in fear, and she cannot say anything to defend herself. He sees through her, and she cowers from it. His self-awareness makes it impossible for her to soothe him with easy words like she later does with Shouto. She has no legs to stand on. Her words ring empty, and she knows it. A lie to keep up the pretense of being in control.
Though Rei had entered this situation hoping she would find happiness somehow, the truth is that she hasn't been happy in years. She's exhausted, jaded, wrung out. The family she had pictured doesn't match the broken one she can't keep together despite her best efforts. So, what use was walking into this of her own accord, with her own agenda (however simple), if she couldn't make the most of it, and instead ended up succumbing under the impossible weight of her role?
By then, Enji had given up on even pretending to be involved in Touya's life. He was similarly neglectful to his other children as well. And by giving in to his demands for more kids, Rei co-signed the destruction of whatever normalcy they could've ever hoped to achieve, because Touya knew exactly what they'd done and why, and it made him restless. By the time a fitting replacement came around, the family was as good as gone, and with it, Rei's aspirations.
But acknowledging this means acknowledging her agency in it. And she can't. She can't look Touya in the eyes and insist again about how many other paths are available to him aside from becoming a hero. Not when Touya pointed out that she had paths, too, and still walked the one written in the tracks of her life.
In this light, her avoidance of Touya from then on mirrors Enji’s. She's running away from facing things about herself she doesn't want to confront, things that Touya brings to the forefront of her mind by being their unfortunate victim and byproduct.
Interestingly, though, Rei later shows a bit more of a willingness to face the past.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shouto's influence helps her in that sense. When he finds the courage to reconnect with her, despite how he should've hated her, she gets a taste of what actually sticking with your choices means. And it spurs her onto action herself.
As a child, Shouto told her that he didn't want to become the kind of person who would hurt her. He already believed in kindness, and aspired to be a hero who rescued others, like All Might was shown doing in that TV interview Shouto was watching with Rei. But then Rei was hospitalized, and she spent ten-ish years away from Shouto, thinking the entire time that he resented her for having burnt him.
In truth, Shouto was simply afraid of meeting her. Since he saw himself as the cause of her mental break, he feared that his visit would be unwelcome, or maybe that she would get worse because of him. But in the end, he pushed through those fears and went to the hospital, and then kept coming back and writing letters with the purpose of reconnecting. Shouto could've easily kept things as they were, but he decided to confront her, to seek a conversation, to seek healing. He didn't want to leave those loose ends unaddressed, or to hide behind his insecurities, his anxieties. Shouto was obviously afraid of rejection, of facing her and finding out she still saw his father in him. He was trembling when he arrived at the hospital that first time. But that didn't deter him. Like his mother told him to do all those years ago, he firmly set his eyes on the man he wanted to become, and that man was someone who had a relationship with his mother again.
When Rei witnesses that unshaking resolve, that determination to stay true to himself and his choices, she becomes stronger as a result.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She finally faces Enji, despite admitting to still being afraid of him not too long before.
Tumblr media
And when the topic of Shouto's scar comes up, she owns up to it. Her expression is serious, unflinching. She's not feeling sorry for herself the way she looked away from Touya, eyes downcast and expression laced with visible guilt.
That's a step towards healing for her. Burning Shouto wasn't a conscious action on her part (it was a fight or flight response to fear), but the fact that she is willing to look head on at the past instead of avoiding it is a nod in the right direction.
Before, she let that vision of a happy future slip away from her. She let herself be swept by her circumstances, and lost sight of herself in the process.
Tumblr media
Losing sight of yourself because of said circumstances is an idea that gets explored through Shouto as well, by the way. To further underline it. Shouto, too, temporarily let his family situation cloud his vision and push him off his original path. For a handful of years, he was too angry, too bitter and resentful to remember that the things that had motivated him to become a hero was kindness and compassion. He almost nearly becomes cruel like Enji. But remembering himself, setting his eyes on the kind of man he originally wanted to become, puts him back on track. Thanks to that, he's able to successfully rescue Iida from Stain.
Similarly, Rei's misstep is letting her fear get the best of her, and letting herself forget that happiness was still within her reach. Because of that, her challenge is to fix that and face Touya again. In that sense, she can prove she has a choice. She isn't there just to provide the ice genes to make the perfect kid. She still has the power to create a family that isn't dysfunctional, if she commits to the idea that choices were never about making the most of limited options and adverse fate, but rather sticking to your guns and making your future happen despite those adverse circumstances.
Her challenge, then, is to make a family that will be happy for real. With Touya as an integral part of it, this time.

I don’t care what Clamp says I don’t think Syaoran and Sakura would be okay seeing a predatory relationship develop right in front of their eyes (neither would most characters in the original CCS manga tbh. Except for Kaho, Eriol, Rika, Terada, and unfortunately maybe Touya since he was groomed yet still gets along well with Kaho). I don’t know I just don’t think they would and I hate how Clamp is normalizing this. In the original anime they knew well enough to make Rika/Terada a one sided crush unlike in the manga, and NOW all these years later they make a similar ship canon and the center of the new story? If they could tell it wouldn’t sit well with audiences 20+ years ago, why are they doing this now? I know japanese fans are mostly okay with this kind of age gaps but I don’t think many fans from other countries are? And don’t even get me started on how it feels like we’ll see them again it makes me sick
i mean with rika she told sakura some things like saying the person she was seeing had a job but like, is a 10 year old going to like be able to comprehend what this implies. i don't think so. so like even though sakura technically knew i don't think she UNDERSTOOD
with fujitaka sakura has basically been conditioned to think "oh that's my dad he's such a nice person there's no way he could be a bad person" and like nadeshiko died when sakura was so young so she wasn't really surrounded by it constantly like touya was (which is probably part of why he got groomed too)
with touya i know in the anime at least sakura technically knows what happened cause of the tree episode but again. child who cannot fully comprehend this. and also touya 100% does not realize how bad what happened to him was because he grew up with his parents relationship being normalized
what gets me is like clamp surely understands the past age gap relationships they put in are not all 100% accepted what with the fact that rika gets conveniently transferred to another school. and they kinda try to sweep those under the rug (while, of course, still praising the characters that are predators). AND YET AT THE SAME TIME they start doing the same shit again but more in your face. it's wild

How would you describe how the Todoroki siblings with each other is like? Well how do you see it based on your view and how you would write it
so to preface all this: these are all just my own opinions and feelings on what i've understood of their relationship with one another !! you may not agree, and that's okay, too !! i could easily have misinterpreted chapters/scenes/information in the manga, and have based my thoughts on inaccuracies, and could be totally wrong about all of this — but you asked, so here's what i think :)
i want to start by saying that i don't really have any particular or special thoughts about how fuyumi + natsuo + shouto view one another. i think there was a debilitating void in fuyumi and natsuo's life after touya for at least a few years, and i think shouto would have been too young to have been as affected by his "death" as they would have, and so i believe that would set them apart in that regard. there is also the fact that enji was hard-wiring shouto to be a hero for a large portion of his life, and i think there would have been some tension between the three of them because of it. shouto never really got to be the "little brother" he should have been, but i like to think that, where we are in the manga right now, they've become a lot more well-adjusted to one another.
now let's talk about touya LOL
Tumblr media
i think natsuo and fuyumi both carry a heavy guilt comprised of, "if i had done xyz different, maybe this wouldn't have happened," when it comes to their oldest brother, but i think it weighs on natsuo the most. it was purposely and explicitly shown that touya tried to lean on natsuo, at one point, and was blatantly ignored — which i don't blame natsuo for, bc he was just a child — and i think that shows especially in his animosity towards endeavor. natsuo is so, so, so angry at enji, todoroki-angry, and i think he's just as angry at himself for not being there for touya more.
i like to write their relationship as very — bro-like, if that makes sense LOL yes, i stand by what i said about fuyumi being touya's best friend, but natsuo was his first brother, and there is just something about brothers, you know ?? i think in a circumstance in which they are together — au or canon — touya will always be the "cool" older brother that natsuo admires and wants to be best friends with. i imagine them like little partners-in-crime, little mischievous boys that snooped around in things they weren't supposed to — and i actually could see a universe in which natsuo becomes a villain also, once dabi reveals himself as touya. as in like an atonement way; he wasn't there for him then, but he'll use his anger to be there for him now, sort of idea. not that i think that would ever actually happen !!! but out of the three other todoroki's, natsuo is who i can see doing it.
i would give up my firstborn to know what fuyumi and touya's relationship would look like post-war (assuming...👀). maybe i'm projecting because i had an older brother, but i view their relationship when they were younger in such a soft light. let me tell you something !!!! fuyumi came into the world being loved by him !!!!! and came into the world loving him !!!!! because they were BABIES !!!! and were each other's first BEST FRIEND !!!! i will stand on this hill until i DIE !!!! yes, i think touya pulled her hair and spit in her milk and wiped his boogers on her — but there was a time before his quirk manifested where it was just the two of them in the playpen, know what i mean ??? and i don't think that's something you can just erase !!!!
i think she has a lot of guilt, too, and i think she was affected so, so deeply by his "death". whereas natsuo turned his grief into fury at his father — i think it really means something that fuyumi does not hold the same resentment. i really can't imagine what it would be like for her to lose him, bc i really can picture them being so close, and i imagine it would have been like losing a huge part of herself. everything she did in life — she must have imagined touya beside her: celebrating birthdays and middle school and learning to drive and all the things they could have done together, bc they were so close in age. she was a lot like their mom, i think, when it came to worrying about him, which i think he probably viewed as annoying at the time, but i bet he would have missed it so much when he was on his own. i hc her as a lil know-it-all LOL and i can imagine touya being alone and scared and wishing, for just one minute, that he could listen to her nag at him one last time, just so he would know what to do or how to survive, because i think he probably trusted her wholeheartedly.
oh my god, and shouto. i actually — can't decide what i think touya's views on shouto are. i can believe the concept that he completely hates and resents him, and i can also believe that he was afraid for his littlest brother and felt bad for him, when they were younger. i guess i think it was both. that naivete and sort of innocence we all love about shouto: i think he genuinely wants to know his brother. i think he genuinely wants to have another sibling to interact with, to be able to trust, someone who understands what it was like to grow up in that household. he didn't get that comfort when he was younger and i'm sure he relishes in it now that he gets it — and i can see him wanting to have that bond with touya.
and i think touya honestly views shouto as a stranger, because — it's always been about endeavor, hasn't it ?? yes, touya had strong feelings for shouto and wanted to kill him during the war — but it was all to harm enji in the end. when shouto was born and touya came to learn that this was what his father had always wanted — yeah, i think he was furious and jealous, because his brain had been entirely warped at that point into thinking attention from dad = worthiness. so he hated shouto — because of endeavor. i don't think touya really has had the mindset or stability to think about shouto outside of their father, and so i don't think he has any honest-to-god genuine feeling about him. i think shouto is just an unknown to him.
i love all the au concepts of shouto being the little brother that tries to pal around with him all the time 🥺 it's my favorite, and i wish it was canon so badly LOL i — honestly have a hard time writing shouto and touya in ptmy, because their relationship is so strained and so distanced ??? i think touya wants to hang onto his hatred for shouto because it's all he's ever known for his youngest brother ?? but i could believe that, deep in his heart, he just looks at him and thinks, "poor bastard 😒" bc if anyone can truly, honestly relate to shouto — it's touya. the abuse wasn't on an identical level for either of them, but they were both groomed by the same hand for the same reason.
i can see him getting along the easiest with fuyumi, bc i think their relationship is just like a natural back and forth. it's teasing and a little mean but also can be understood without words: it's big brother and little sister. i think he gets along best with natsuo though, because natsuo wants to be friends so bad LOL and i can see them sitting outside in lawn chairs, drinking beer and talking shit about — anything LOL and natsuo is having a great time. i think he doesn't feel like he can open up to him as much as he can with fuyumi, though, and i honestly don't think natsuo would know what to do if he did, despite how much he wishes touya would open up to him.
and shouto — i just don't know how i picture them. idealistically, sitting together on the curb, maybe, mostly in silence. shouto's fine with it, because he's not uncomfortable in silence — which touya finds SO WEIRD — but then shouto probably monotones a stupid, dumb comment about their dad that only touya would get, and makes him laugh and — everything is okay, for the moment 🥺
i don't think this directly answered your question about how to write them LOL but !! this is the jumbled mess inside my head, and i hope it gave you a little bit of insight !!

bellow the fire into my deadened lungs
chapter 2 excerpt — important and embarrassing conversations read full story here
They all take care of Touya as he heals while trying to be discreet as possible. Keigo will go on patrol, Natsou will attend his classes but has a friend record each lecture he misses, and Shouto spends almost all of his free time back at Keigo’s apartment, now that his internship is over, what with Endeavor in a — 'satisfyingly' — medically-induced coma.
No one tells Fuyumi.
They all love her, especially Touya who misses his twin the same way he misses his tears. But they’re not sure if Fuyumi would tell Enji — who's bound to wake up eventually — where Touya is currently hiding, under the, ‘poorly led assumption that Enji is a changed man’ — Natsou’s words.
The first week of healing is absolutely grueling.
The second is worse.
The third, though, is when Natsou declares it’s finally okay to take the bandages off. Something about how far quirk medicine has come in the past decade.
When the bandages are off, Touya is completely shocked, “Natsou, what — how — there are barely any new scars. And —  fuck, my seams!”  Touya cackles wildly, twisting and turning his arms, “They’ve never looked this good!”
Natsou ruffles Touya’s hair, “Modern quirk medicine, man. You should probably take a bath, though. Warm water, different washcloths for each limb. Don’t put any dressing or creams when you’re done, wait at least two hours for all the heat to have left your burns. After that, it’s pretty much the same thing you’ve been doing. You’ve taken pretty good care of them these years — who knows, maybe you could be a doctor yourself,” He nudges, a cheeky smile on his face.
Touya huffs a laugh through his nose, “Another life, maybe.”
Natsou leaves for class with a sad smile, his heart full of melancholy at the way this life has treated his brother
Touya is looking at himself in the large bathroom mirror when Keigo comes stumbling in, “Dabs, are you awake yet? I’ve brought some — oh!” The hero stops short at his opened bathroom door, looking at Touya with wide and sparkling eyes, “Wow. It’s been so long since I’ve seen you like this.”
Touya snorts, “Patched up instead of wrapped up?”
“Whole,” Keigo answers, walking up to Touya to take a closer look at him, “I can’t believe you guys did this without me and Shou.”
Touya shifts, feeling stupidly shy, of all things, and he looks back at the mirror, at his own reflection, “‘S not some grand event, Birdbrain.”
He feels Keigo move, and the hero’s reflection joins his own, golden eyes meeting Touya’s reflected blue, “You’re so pretty.”
Touya’s heart feels like it’s going to burst out of his chest, and he averts his eyes away from their reflections and down to the sink, “Why're you saying that shit now? I told you, I know what you are.”
Keigo hasn’t kissed him these past three weeks. The only times he touches Touya is when it’s medical and he keeps his distance. They don’t sleep in the same bed. They haven’t talked about it. Keigo doesn’t need ‘Dabi’ anymore.
Touya doesn’t want to care. He doesn’t want the hero's distance to sting the way it does, wants to tell himself that he was using Keigo just as much as Keigo was using him, and that it all meant nothing.
Touya’s a good liar, but, ‘how the hell does someone lie to themselves?’
“Because I’m always thinkin’ it, Dabs.”
Touya whips around to face Keigo and puts two warning hands on the hero’s chest, “Stop it.”
“I — ” Keigo starts, his bottom lip jutted out and quivering for a second, before he presses his lips together and nods, “I’m sorry,” he steps back, “I — I’ve been trying. To give you space. I didn’t mean to cross a line.”
Touya turns his head away from Keigo and misses the way the hero’s eyes trace along the elegant column of Touya’s neck, misses the way black pupils dilate at the movement of his sharp Adam’s-apple, the way Keigo’s chest expands with a silently pining sigh.
The swirls of the marble tile in Kiego’s bathroom start to move the longer Touya stares. His head is such a mess. He’s tired and lost, and although his body has stopped hurting, his heart doesn't.
“I don’t like liars.”
“Dabi,” Keigo pleads, begging for Touya to look at him, “This isn’t the right time, but I need you to know. This, everything between us, it was all real for me. It still is,” Keigo’s short-taloned hand, the very physical testament of his words, lays on Touya’s cheek and urges him to turn, to look at Keigo and meet that pleading golden gaze, “You know when I’m lying. Look me in my eyes and believe me.”
Touya wants to. That’s the part that horrifies him, makes him so fucking scared, because when he looks into Keigo’s heartbreakingly open and honest eyes, he wants to believe him.
He closes his eyes and resigns, leans forward until his forehead meets Keigo’s own.
Keigo whispers against his mouth, “I’m a double agent,” He finally confesses, “But I am on your side.”
Touya nods.
Much later, after Shouto’s visit — “I honestly forgot what you looked like these past few weeks. I like this post-mummification-version of you better, Touya-nii.” — Touya and Keigo sit in the hero’s living room, tending to Touya’s new burns. Touya works on his right arm and Keigo kneels by his feet, wrapping his thigh — easy access due to the villain wearing only a tank top and boxers, borrowed from Keigo.
Keigo decides to bring up the conversation he’s postponed in waiting for Touya’s health to improve, “So. What were you thinking, going off to fight Endeavor alone?”
Touya’s fingers twitch. He was honestly hoping they’d never have this conversion, just forget about it and stay cocooned in this healing nest of a dream world for a little longer.
But the world still orbits, the clocks still tick, and real-life does not pause.
He finishes pinning the clean gauze in place and shrugs a shoulder, “Felt like the right time.”
Keigo scoffs, still focused on wrapping the gauze underneath his thigh, one hand gripping the back of his knee for leverage while the other loops the cloth under, “That’s such bullshit. What about the League? You have access to like, a hundred Nomus!”
And Touya’s a bit shocked, because —‘Is he mad I didn’t have a better plan to… kill… my father…?’
Keigo’s head whips up, and blazing eyes bore into Touya’s own, “What about me?”
Touya snaps.
“Yeah, what about you? The same you that stuffed a body in a duffle bag for a fuckin’ mission? You killed someone, you stupid… Hero,” Touya’s chest heaves, and they both noticed how when he said, ‘hero’, for once, it wasn’t spiteful but had real weight. Like the word held some honor and Keigo broke it.
Keigo sighs, pinning the gauze in place, and sits back on his rear, both knees coming up to rest his elbows on, “Yeah, but not on your orders.” The furrow of Touya’s thin brows makes Keigo explain further, “When I told the Commission about what the League wanted me to do, they… assigned me to do it. They could have found a way around it, but they didn’t. And they didn’t even do it themselves, they actually…”
Keigo’s voice starts to shake, and Touya leans forward, wanting to offer some kind of comfort but still feeling the protective resistance of his own mind take precedence.
“They brought a man in. Told me how to do it. And watched.”
Touya slides off the couch and adjusts himself until his own bent legs brush the insides of Keigo’s, long enough for his toes to reach the side of the hero’s hips. He rests his back against the seat border.
“There’s your reason then. It’s all fuckin’ tainted. Everything needs to be burnt to the fuckin’ ground, and it needs to start with him.”
“Dabi!” Keigo’s fists clench beside his temples and his eyes close tightly in frustration, “Gods, are you so naive to believe your single action would have changed anything!”
When his eyes open again, they’re incredulous and his golden irises look like they’re on fire, and Touya’s shocked at his outburst.
“You won’t be a martyr, Dabs, you’ll be the enemy, and the result will only end up in more heroes just like Endeavor, seeking for revenge on his behalf, completely ignorant to the man he really is. This... this is arrogance, stupidity — ”
A lick of fury runs through Touya and he grabs the collar of Keigo’s shirt and pulls, “Watch it, Birdy. I get it, alrigh', but don’t fuckin’ call me ‘stupid’.”
[ “You stupid, worthless boy!”
“Why do I even bother, those born weak are hopeless!”
“It’s not only your body, your mind is incapable, do you not see the bigger picture?”
“Stupid boy, push through! I am making you strong, can’t you see that!”  ]
He lets go and tiredly leans back into the seat border, tilting his head all the way back until it rests on the seat cushion.
“I don’t care about the whole world, I care about four people. There’s no room for anyone else.”
‘Maybe five.’
Keigo scoffs, “Really? You read bedtime stories to Toga because you care about ‘four people’?” Touya’s heart tightens and he restrains his throat from swallowing too much, “You watch romcoms with Twice when he’s having a fit because you only care about ‘four people’?  You sleep in Shigaraki’s bed during the winter because you care about ‘four people’?  You — ”
Touya balks, his head shooting up, “ — Wait, wha — hold on — how do you know about that?” He demands.
Keigo’s eyes widen before his expression turns sheepish, “I…”
Touya’s eyes narrow, “Birdie…”
Keigo scratches the back of his neck, before booping his two index fingers together repeatedly, “I... So, Toga may have taken a few photos…”
Touya’s absolutely horrified, “You peeping-toms. When?”
Keigo’s eyes make a show of dramatically looking up and around, trying to seem like he doesn’t actually remember clearly, “Uh, heh, she said it happened in November, but she told me around the holidays?”
Touya groans, flopping his head back to the couch cushion.
[ Shigaraki hasn’t stopped staring at Dabi ever since he turned off the television. He’s just been standing in the doorway, itching his neck in obvious stress.
Dabi gives the guy the benefit of the doubt, “... What'd'you want, ya sandpaper reject?”
Shigaraki hesitates for a moment, shuffling his feet, “... My room is fuckin’ freezing. Can you heat up my sheets?”
Dabi sighs and thinks, ‘this again.’
He gets up, knees cracking and spine arching as he stretches a bit, ignoring the way Shigaraki’s eyes deviate to the strip of skin revealed by the lift of his shirt.
He makes his way to Shigaraki’s room, “You seriously need to buy a portable heater or somethin’. Think that psycho doctor can lend us a few bucks?”
“Doubt it.”
Dabi gets to the bed, flips covers, and heats up the area with his careful hands, “Alright, here ya go, Handyman, nice 'n toasty.”
He turns around and starts to walk out the bedroom door when a small tug around his waist constricts his movement. His brows draw together in confusion, and he looks down and follows the pattern of bunched clothing until he spots two blue-ish fingers trapping the hem of his shirt.
“I…” Shigaraki looks at where his fingers clutch at Dabi’s shirt before averting his eyes to the window, “There’s a blizzard outside, the bed is going to get cold quickly again. How... long will you be here?” He’s looking everywhere but at Dabi.
Dabi deadpans, “Look, I’m tired as hell, you better not wake me up and use that creepy doctor’s slime quirk on me just to heat your bed again. I’m not a housekeepe — ”
“ — you could just stay.”
Dabi gapes, “Uh…”
“I mean,” Shigaraki grumbles, seemingly irritated, but Dabi can see blood flow to his cheeks, “Your body radiates heat naturally when you sleep — ”
“ — how do you kno — ”
“ — so if you just sleep here, the bed will always stay warm.”
Dabi’s about to say ‘no’ because he’s noticed the strange ways his boss has been looking at him lately, red eyes lingering a bit too long on stapled skin, widening a bit too much at blue fire.
But he catches the heavy bags under those same red eyes, and he lets out a deep, resigned sigh, “Fine. Gods, this is the one time I’m actually glad you snatched the only queen mattress in this place,” — even though Dabi rarely ever spends the night at the League’s hideouts. Too much paranoia for infection.
He slides under the already folded back duvet and makes himself comfortable, turning on his side so he faces the window and closes his eyes to the wild blurs snow. He can hear as Shigaraki shuffles around to probably put on his partial-finger gloves and the way his boss sighs deeply at the warmth of the sheets when he settles in.
Before Dabi falls asleep, he hears a soft, “Thank you.”
When Dabi wakes up, it's to the sun’s bright reflection off the fallen white snow and Shigaraki’s arm curled around his waist, soft puffs of air gently ruffling the hair at the back of his head.
‘Oh my Gods.’
Dabi can’t even get mad, really, he set himself up for this one.
He heats up a pillow, wiggles out of his boss’s embrace, and shoves the pillow in his place, watching as Shigaraki mumbles a bit before snuggling into the pillow like a child.
‘He’s just a kid,’ Dabi can’t help think, for a moment.
He quietly walks out of Shigaraki’s room, closes the door with a quiet  ‘click’, and, unfortunately, bumps right into Toga.
Toga’s eyes widen as Dabi silently wishes to incinerate himself, “Whaaa....” and then smiles deviously, “Dabi, have you and Shiggy — ”
“No, you psycho, for fuck's sake,” Dabi quickly shuts the girl down, “Boss has no damn circulation. He was fuckin’... cold. Fuck off.”
To his surprise, Toga actually backs off with a hum and a tilt of her head, “Hm. Well, I guess that’s good. You like your mysterious recruit, anyways, huh?”
Dabi mushes a hand in her face, “Shut up, you watch too many damn movies…”  ]
“Tch, that little sneak acted so innocent,” Touya purses his lips before a lightbulb goes off in his head, and he whips his head to look back at Keigo, “So that’s why you got us personal heaters for Christmas.”
Keigo’s cheeks blush, “I, uh, also got Shiggy the fleece pajamas.”
“Gods, you mama bird.”
Keigo splutters at that, open palms frantically indicating towards Touya, “Says the literal mama bird.”
“Shut up,” Touya feels embarrassed, thinking of all the things Keigo pointed out that Touya has always chosen to selectively forget. Acknowledging himself as anything close to human makes him sick, makes his head spin up and tangle itself within the greyed ethics he’s managed to hang onto in this new body.
However, he’s not so sure he can compartmentalize pieces of himself like this anymore, not after Keigo, not after Natsou and Shouto and the way he’s lived this past month.
He changes the subject, seeing an opportunity to ask something he’s been avoiding for a while, “I’m wondering — did you do it out of concern or to keep him away from me?”
“A little bit of both, to be honest. Maybe, like. Forty-sixty.”
Touya’s a bit silent, after that. He thinks of what he really wants to say, what he needs Keigo to understand.
“Look,” He starts, “I don’t ever wanna be owned. Feel like — property. And you... I dunno if it's a bird thing or what but, you…” Touya looks Keigo in the eye, feeling so, so vulnerable, “You look like you wanna keep me. And that really freaks me out.”
Keigo sighs dejectedly, “Yeah, I noticed you were different with me after I pointed out Shigaraki’s… interest. Felt like you didn’t wanna be alone with me, and on Christmas… I wanted to kick myself after the mistletoe thing.”
“I didn’t mind that. Christmas was — good,” Touya flushes slightly, before mentally shaking himself back to the real point of this conversation and muttering, “Patching my hip back up wasn’t.”
“Fuck,” Keigo whispers, starting to shake his head in something that looks like shame, “I’m so fucking sorry. My raptor instincts got the best of me, but that’s no excuse.”
“Can you control it? Your…  instincts?” Touya feels a bit like a dickhead for asking. He was there during the times Spinner and Keigo confessed to being stereotyped as things akin to beasts among non-heteromorphic people, but when Touya hears words like, ‘instinct,’  he needs to be cautious.
“Yes,” Keigo says desperately, “I’m new to all this but, you gotta know, I don’t wanna own you, Dabi. I’d never put you in a cage. I was just jealous, but I had no right. Still don’t, especially now.”
Touya takes the plunge, his heart racing a mile a minute, “Do you want it? The right?”
Keigo smiles, ever-so-kindly, and Touya feels a warm hand wrap around one of his ankles, his thumb stroking the bridge where healthy flesh still lives, “No one can have rights to you, love. I just want you, in any way you’ll let me.”
Touya’s heart soars.
He moves, crawling close to Keigo before fumbling into the hero’s lap, both men careful and slow around his fresh wrappings. Keigo’s hands fall to the dip of his back and the meat of his thigh, Touya’s cradling the hero’s strong jawline as if it were made of hand-blown glass, precious and one-of-a-kind.
“I want the same,” He avows on pink lips.
Pink lips that slide into a beautiful smile, “I’m yours, Dabs.”
“Touya,” He corrects, sliding a hand around to tangle his fingers in blond hair, “I want you to call me Touya, when we’re like this.”
Pink lips that round out, “Touya,” against his own.
His whole body shudders.
Pink lips that fervently surge up to claim his own.

Note
Hi and Good day. I am very disappointed with new chapter. I am not into teenager or 20th year AFO. Sorry, but love adult men.
Moreover, i dont believe in DFO anymore. I think this is not gonna happen. People trying to calm me down and raise hope but i cant. What are your thoughts ?
My dear mallas how much more do I need to beat it into you that dfo IS 100% canon and its just your dissapointment how long it takes for the reveal to happen that turns you skeptical?! But please remember how long hori took his time to confirm the dabi is touya theory, despite that pretty much EVERYONE of his readers knew it was canon and that it was obvious since at least the training camp arc. And despite how obvious it was hori needed 10 or so more arcs before he revealed it. The same goes with dfo. Its so damn OBVIOUS at this point that afo is hisashi it hurts and hori is not an idiot. He is absolutely aware that his readers got the hint.
Hori himself confirmed that hisashi WILL show up and play a bigger part in the story, but cant say more, because its to much of an spoiler. He said hisashi will be REVEALED, not "introduced." So its an character we already know and come on WHO is it supposed to be at this point if not afo?! And thanks to @tengoku-izumi being a genius, dfo is pretty much confirmed already even if its not offical, because they found out that the kanjis of the name hisashi hide inside the kanjis of afos prison number 1541. So in other words the tartarus guards literally named afo "hisashi" and call him that when they call him by his prison number! I mean, how much more evidence do you need? The same happened with that one person finding out LONG before the touya reveal, that the kanjis of the name "touya" hide inside the kanjis of dabis birthday, 18 january! Hori is known for hiding informations about his characters in their birthdays and names or in afos case his prison number, because we dont know his birthday yet. Also afos prison number are the ages of izuku and inko at the time he got it and was imprisoned in tartarus. At that time izuku was 15 and inko 41. 1541.
Tumblr media
The question is not IF dfo is canon, but HOW hori will deal with it in the story and the way he will reveal it!
But if it gives your dfo heart some kind of peace, here are a few links of great dfo metas going into more detail:
And about the first part of your ask, yeah I agree, afo looked way hotter and better as an adult. Now he has to much of a baby face for my liking, cute and pretty looking at best, but not more.

Chapter 5! (TODOBAKUDEKU X READER MAIFA AU!)
Tumblr media
I walk into my house and look around for any notes, or anything I can work with. I look and pick up a picture. My brother was all bloody, and beat up as the two men one was burnt to hell and the other one had wings. Wait, so it wasn’t Todoroki or his mafia? I swallowed as I picked my phone, to warn him not to yell at his people for something they had no part of. I hit a call. ‘Hello?’ He answered. ‘They didn’t do it.’ I sighed and Todoroki was shocked. ‘What do you mean?’ He asked and I sighed. ‘They left a picture, Deku wouldn’t do something so reckless or even allow it. You guys keep your Identity a secret for a reason, and he might hate my brother but not enough to expose him to the wall.’ I sighed as I looked at the picture. Maybe a note? I turned the picture over and dropped it. ‘You know a lot about us?’ He questioned. ‘Well yeah, my brother hates you, it was my job to keep tabs on you. I quit that job weeks ago though.’ I admitted. He sighed. ‘I have to go, 'they left a note..’ I sighed. He growled. ‘What does the note say?’ He asked. I picked up the picture once more, swallowing hard and I read the note. ‘Come down to use y/n and will let him live, but refuse our hands and he is a goner.’ I hiccuped and Todoroki growled more. ‘Don’t worry, you won’t need to marry them bastards, I will come with you.’ He started and I sighed. ‘I don’t even know who these people are, I've never seen or heard of them.’ I sighed. “What do they look like?’ He asked and I sighed, flipping the picture over looking over it. ‘One is covered in burnt purple skin, with staples holding the dead skin up, with white hair and blue eyes, the other one is dirty blonde, gold eyes with a little eye liner I think, with big red wings.’ I said describing them the best I could. He huffed and choked. ‘TOUYA!?’ He shouted and I pulled the phone away from my ear. ‘You know him?’ I asked and he huffed. ‘Sadly he is my brother.’ He sighed and pretended to puke. ‘At least I know who the hot brother is.’ I chuckled. He cleared his throat. Awe he blushed. ‘Do you know where they are?’ I asked and he sighed. ‘No, but I am sure I can find them, give me a second.’ He spoke, putting his phone down, all I could hear was the sound of keys on a keyboard pushing at a very fast speed. Is he hacking something? Will he teach me? Man, I am bipolar.. I heard a ding and I heard the rustling of the phone being lifted. ‘Found them, meet at the park. I am coming with you.’ He huffed and I rolled my eyes. ‘Already, I will allow it this one time I guess.’ I chuckled and he huffed as he hung up and I smiled. I walked to the park and I met Todoroki where he said too and we walked, he held my hand and my heart skipped. Why is he being so nice? I accused him so much. I sighed and he looked at me. ‘Stop.’ He said and I stopped moving. ‘No, stop downing yourself for your trust issues, everyone has them. Honestly if Bakugo or Deku went missing I would have done the same thing, but right now. I need you to trust me. I am on your side okay?” He said as he took my hand to his mouth and kissed the back of it. I sighed.
